Brooke Vincent thanks Corrie for keeping her ‘on the straight and narrow’

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Vincent has thanked ‘Coronation Street’ for keeping her “on the straight and narrow”.
The 27-year-old actress has left the ITV soap and her role as Sophie Webster – who she has portrayed since 2004 – to go on maternity leave, and she has thanked the cast and crew after shooting her final scenes for now.
She wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe 15 years ago I came onto the street to play “Sophie Webster” and today I left to play my biggest role yet “Mummy” my amazing family at Coronation Street I am going to miss you all so much thank you for always looking after me, for keeping me on the straight and narrow and for letting me get away with murder over the years. Also @kean8 for making my last day extra special coming home to the best treats!! I really am super lucky!! (sic)”
Brooke – who is expecting her first child with her footballer boyfriend Kean Bryan – shared two video clips of her final day on set, in which several of her co-stars, including Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), Mike North (Gary Windass), and Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) gave her a goodbye hug.
The star’s on-screen mum Sally Dynevor (Sally Webster) then presented her with some flowers, bringing Brooke to tears.
She said: “We are going to miss you. Brooke, we all love you so much. You’ve been here since you were 11, it’s ridiculous.
“This is your home, you can come back anytime you want to, bring the baby. New storyline. You are so loved, we adore you and you’re amazing.”
Brooke joked the ‘Corrie’ production might “run a bit smoother” when she is not there.
She said: “You are like my family. I get away with absolute murder I know, it might run a bit smoother and you might finish on time now. Thank you so much.”

Tom Holland’s Uncharted ‘searching for new director’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Holland’s ‘Uncharted’ movie is looking for another director.
The movie’s helmer Dan Trachtenberg is said to have departed the project, but Holland is still set to star in the motion picture – a big screen adaptation of the highly-successful PlayStation game of the same name – and production is expected to begin early next year.
Sources told Deadline that the search for a new filmmaker is underway and meetings are happening.
Sony Pictures are hoping to have a replacement in place by the end of the summer.
‘Uncharted’ – which will be the first feature production of Sony PlayStation Productions – will tell the story of treasure hunter Nathan Drake from his younger years.
This comes just days after it was reported ‘Spider-Man’ will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Sony Pictures – who licences the famous character, currently played by Holland, to Marvel – reportedly hit a stalemate with the studio over the financing and profit-sharing of the future movies featuring the character, leading to the exit of Marvel boss Kevin Feige from the franchise.
In a statement, Sony’s spokesperson said: “Much of today’s news about’ Spider-Man’, has mischaracterised recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise.
“We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.
“We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”

Rupert Friend joins Waldo

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Friend has joined the cast of ‘Waldo’.
The 37-year-old actor has signed up to join the likes of Mel Gibson, Charlie Hunnam and fellow former ‘Homeland’ star Morena Baccarin in the upcoming action thriller, though it is currently unclear what role he will be paying.
The movie will be directed by Tim Kirkby and is based on Howard Michael Gould’s novel ‘Last Looks’ and also stars ‘Baby Driver’ actress Eiza Gonzalez, ‘Lost’ actor Dominic Monaghan, Jacob Scipio and Clancy Brown.
‘Waldo’ follows Hunnam as disgraced former LAPD detective Charlie Waldo who has escaped to the woods to live as a minimalist, however, his quiet life is disturbed when he’s talked into working as a private detective for eccentric television Alastair Pinch who is investigating the murder of his wife.
Pinch is a one-time Royal Shakespeare Company actor turned southern network TV judge who is a heavy drinker and can’t remember anything after his wife turns up dead in their living room.
Andrew Lazar, Brad Feinstein, Christina Weiss Lurie and Steven Shainberg are producing the movie.
‘Last Looks’ has been described as “a razor-sharp, exquisitely paced, madly fun debut thriller that gleefully lampoons Hollywood culture and introduces the highly eccentric yet brilliant ex-detective gone rogue: Charlie Waldo”.
Rupert is currently starring in ‘Strange Angel’, which is now on its second season, while on the big screen he has recently been seen alongside Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively in Paul Feig’s ‘A Simple Favor’ and in ‘At Eternity’s Gate’, which also featured Willem Dafoe.
He has just finished work on Wes Anderson’s next film ‘The French Dispatch’ and also has another role coming up, in William Brent Bell’s ‘Separation’.

Russell T Davies says Corrie character deaths ‘need monitoring’

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell T Davies claims Coronation Street’s history for killing off young female characters is “slightly out of control”.
The 56-year-old screenwriter admits it is “very hard to keep an eye” on such plots, and while he insists the bumping off of female characters “needs monitoring”, he believes people are talking about it.
He said: “There are bad deaths, when you can’t think of anything else to do.
“There is an extraordinary history on ‘Coronation Street’ of young women being murdered. Truly, it’s slightly out of control and needs monitoring.
“It’s very hard to keep an eye on things, but it is being monitored – people are aware of these things, it is being talked about. And I always think, actually, that our representation is better than we think it is.”
Sue Perkins also claimed soap operas are too quick to kill off lesbian characters.
In a panel discussion about LGBTQ+ programming at the Edinburgh TV Festival, she added: “If you’re a lesbian, it’s death – an early death.
“The moment you de-cloak and go, ‘I’m gay’, there will be a white van heading towards you at speed.
“The moment you express love, one of the most basic human emotions, something dreadful will happen. It’s just the way, it’s the way it’s always been.”
Their comments come after ‘Corrie’ came under fire from some groups for killing off lesbian Rana Habeeb earlier this year, despite the actress admitting she had asked for her character to be bumped off.

Scarlett Moffatt to star in Great British Bake Off for SU2C

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt is to star on ‘The Great British Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer’.
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star – who won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2016 – is to appear in the star-studded version of the cooking show for charity.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “This coveted ‘GBBO’ slot is just the latest in a long line of projects producers are keen to sign her up for since she made a spectacular exit from the jungle three years ago.”
Scarlett is also soon to be on another Channel 4 show, ‘The British Tribe Next Door’, which will see her family’s house rebuilt in a remote African village in Namibia, where they will live alongside the nomadic Himba tribe for a month.
She said: “This is one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.
“I feel privileged and humbled that the Himba tribe invited us to join them and we have all learnt an enormous amount.”
But the Moffatts will still enjoy everyday luxuries like electricity, running water, iPhones, ready meals and television.
Chief Tijone of the Himba tribe added: “I was born in our village and I’ve never travelled far so I don’t know the Western life.
“Of course, there are benefits and there are disadvantages. When the visitors come, they can explain everything to us, and we will learn from each other’s cultures.”
Alf Lawrie – Channel 4’s head of factual entertainment – said: “For the first time in human history, British suburbia and Himba tribal life will coexist side-by-side.
“This series contrasts two worlds on a spectacular scale – but at its heart, is about the extraordinary relationships it creates.”

Jeremy Clarkson sheds 2 stone eating lettuce

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has shed two stone eating small portions of lettuce.
The ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ host took inspiration from Queen Elizabeth’s diet to slim down, and he much prefers sipping on rose wine to downing pints of lager nowadays.
The 59-year-old TV presenter said: “The queen doesn’t go to the gym and she doesn’t run and she’s 93 and she’s all right.
“Apparently she only has a forkful, she only has a tiny bit, that’s what I’ve heard. She’ll sit down and just have one little bit of mousse and bit of a lettuce leaf.”
While he may not need the prize money as much as some others, Jeremy admits he would still find it tough if he was the one being asked a £1 million question on the quiz show.
And the former ‘Top Gear’ presenter insists he doesn’t splash his cash if he doesn’t need to.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “I’m from Yorkshire, and Yorkshire people never ever lose the value of a pound. Ask anyone who knows me – I’m still, ‘How much?’
“My great-grandfather once stood in front of Harrods, and he was a wealthy man, very Northern, and he went, ‘I could afford to buy everything in that window, but I’m not going to’ – and I operate on that principle as well.
“I’ve got a 12-year-old Range Rover and I live in a two-bedroom cottage.”
Earlier this year, Jeremy admitted he had lost weight thanks to cycling – but picked up a number of injuries because of his bike.
He said: “I went on a gap year to Indochina. They just have a better diet out there.
“Plus I had a bicycle rather than a car.
“Cycling is not a good thing to do, I’m all broken as a result of it but I did lose a lot of weight.
“Where I was staying was separated from the small town by a mountain.
“It was only three kilometres and I cycled every day.”

Louis Theroux still troubled by friendship with Jimmy Savile

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux is still troubled by the “friendly” relationship he shared with now disgraced late TV presenter Jimmy Savile.
The 49-year-old filmmaker developed a friendship with the ‘Top of the Pops’ host following the making of his 2000 documentary ‘When Louis Met… Jimmy’ for which he spent a significant amount of time Savile and was given unprecedented access to his home life.
Following Savile’s passing at the age of 84 in 2011 hundreds of women came forward to claim he sexually abused them when they were children, while other victims claim they were subjected to assaults as adults.
Louis admits the fact he “quite liked” the ‘Jim’ll Fix It’ star and wasn’t convinced he was hiding any dark secrets still haunts him to this day and he has devoted seven chapters of his upcoming book to Savile.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Louis said: “I think about it a lot. I have got a book coming out later this year and about seven chapters are about Jimmy Savile so it would be a bit weird not to talk about it. In terms of my professional career I would say it is the strangest and most upsetting event to have been in any way involved in. I quite liked him. I have to pick my words carefully, people say ‘you were his friend’. And I would never call myself his friend in a straight forward way. We were friendly, I had friendly feelings towards him.
“The programme is a strong programme but doesn’t get repeated for obvious reasons. It is a hard headed programme. My producer wanted to do a proper bit of journalism.”
In the documentary, Louis openly asked Savile about the rumours surrounding his personal life and enquired if it was the reason the showbiz personality had stated he hated children.
Savile replied: “It’s easier for me, as a single man, to say ‘I don’t like children,’ because that puts a lot of salacious tabloid people off the hunt.”
Theroux then enquired if he said it to stop people pursuing the notion he could be a paedophile, Savile said: “How do they know whether I am or not?”
Louis admits it was Savile’s ability to brazenly brush off those allegations, even though they were true, which made him a difficult person to read.
He explained: “The hallmark of his offending was he was weirdly brazen in his ability to address it and take the position that is completely bizarre.
“He had an ability not to be nobbled by it. When he was confronted about his offending, people did come to confront him and he had the ability to brazen it out.”
Following the Savile scandal – which was sparked by 2012 ITV expose ‘Exposure: The Other Side of Jimmy Savile – Louis made a follow-up documentary, entitled ‘Louis Theroux: Savile’, in which he revisited his relationship with Savile and investigate how he was able to get away with his sordid sex crimes for decades.
Another memorable moment in ‘When Louis Met… Jimmy’ was when Savile showed Theroux the “shrine” he had in his home to his late mother, whom he referred to as “The Duchess”, having kept her bedroom exactly as it was after she died, even continuing to clean her clothes.
After spending three months filming with Savile in 1999 and 2000, Louis and the DJ remained in touch for a number of years and the investigative journalist would even occasionally stay at his home.

Ewan McGregor, Val Kilmer and Shiloh Fernandez to star in The Birthday Cake

OHMYGOSSIP — Ewan McGregor, Val Kilmer and Shiloh Fernandez have joined the cast of ‘The Birthday Cake’.
The trio are set to star in Jim Giannopoulos’ debut feature film, a mob crime drama, which is based on an original story he co-wrote.
Lorraine Bracco, Ashley Benson and David Mazouz will also star in the movie.
The drama follows Giovanni, played by Fernandez, who continues the family tradition of bringing a cake to his uncle Angela (Kilmer) on the anniversary of his father’s death.
However, during his visit on the 10th anniversary, he witnesses a murder and his life changes forever.
Giannopoulos co-wrote the script with Fernandez and Diomedes Raul Bermudez, while Bermudez, Siena Oberman and Fernandez will produce the movie. Jamin O’Brien and Jason Weinberg will executive produce.
‘The Birthday Cake’ will begin shooting in New York City later this year.
Meanwhile, it’s a busy time for Ewan as he is set to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for a new ‘Star Wars’ TV series.
The 48-year-old actor starred as Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Master in the three prequel films; ‘The Phantom Menace’, ‘Attack of the Clones’, and ‘Revenge of the Sith’ and it looks like he may be about to get his lightsaber back out again – 14 years after it was put into retirement – as Disney are planning to release a new instalment for its Disney+ on-demand channel.
The news that McGregor has reportedly signed a contract to revisit his role will no doubt go down well with fans as they have been eagerly waiting for his comeback as Obi-Wan since Disney bought the rights to Lucasfilm in 2013.
The sale sparked speculation that there would be a standalone film based on the legendary Jedi Master but those plans were scuppered when ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ flopped at the box office.
Although it’s yet to be confirmed that McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan, he’s previously said he would jump at the chance to return and pick up from episode three.
He said: “I would totally do it, of course. There’s no plans as such to do it, as far as I know. I’ve been asked this question for years and years. I’d be happy to do it. There must be a good story to tell as they’re doing spin-offs – there’s likely to be a good Obi-Wan between me and Alec Guinness. I’ve answered ‘yes’ so many times it looks like I’m touting for work!”
‘The Birthday Cake’ and the ‘Star Wars’ TV series will be among McGregor’s first projects since November when he took some time off to be with his family.

Miley Cyrus fired from Hotel Transylvania for penis cake pictures

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus was fired from ‘Hotel Transylvania’ for posting pictures of herself licking a penis-shaped birthday cake.
The 26-year-old singer had signed up for the 2012 animated Sony movie, where she was cast as teenage vampire Mavis, the daughter of Adam Sandler’s Dracula character, but abruptly left the project in February 2012.
No reason for her departure was given at the time but Miley has now revealed that she was fired after posing with the cake, which she bought for her then-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
She tweeted: “I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the photos were the reason Miley was fired as studio bosses were “nervous about the starlet leading a potential animated family-film franchise while shedding her Disney Channel image”.
Miley was later replaced by Selena Gomez, 27, who has gone on to voice the character of Mavis in all three movies in the franchise.
Speaking about the character, Selena said: “She’s very confident and she’s extremely aware of herself, and I like that. I think a lot of girls, especially with, you know, social media and people wanting to bring them down, it’s a great thing to look up to someone like that.”
The series has earned over $1 billion at the global box office and a fourth movie is set for release on December 22, 2021.

Hollyoaks’ Alex Fletcher hints Diane could be Breda’s next victim

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Fletcher has hinted her ‘Hollyoaks’ character could be Breda McQueen’s next victim.
The 43-year-old star admits serial killer Breda – played by Moya Brady – may set her sights on her alter-ego Diane Hutchinson if she lets her son Finn O’Connor (Keith Rice) back into the family home when he is released from prison, where he has been serving a sentence for raping John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).
She said: “The storyline is so out there! I’ve done loads of stuff with Moya, who plays Breda, and she’s so petite and lovely.
“Breda is not only Diane’s nanny, but she’s also been a bit of an emotional crutch for her, as she actually confides in Breda about the Finn situation. What if Diane is next on her list … ”
Breda has already bumped off Diane’s husband Tony Hutchinson’s (Nick Pickard) son Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool), Russ Owen (Stuart Manning) and Louis Loveday (Karl Collins) among her eight victims, and Alex is hoping she continues to only target guys.
She added: “I think Breda’s got a bit of a thing for the boys though, so she might be alright.”
While growing close to her son Finn – who also previously attempted to rape Nancy Osborne (Jess Fox) – may get her killed, if that doesn’t happen it could lead to the end of her marriage because Tony wants nothing to do with him.
Alex said: “Tony basically says that if Diane were to have anything to do with Finn then that’s it, they’re done. She really is in a pickle.
“It’s a dilemma for Diane, because it’s her son and I think she’s clinging on to the fact that he’s redeemed himself, he’s sorry for what he’s done and realises the impact of his actions.
“I think that’s why she can move forward with it, because she’s questioned him inside and out and he’s pulled on her heart strings.”

Nikki Sanderson’s ‘lucky’ career

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Sanderson feels “quite lucky” with her post-‘Coronation Street’ career.
The 35-year-old actress – who is now seen on screen as Maxine Kinsella in ‘Hollyoaks’ – spent six years in Weatherfield as hairdresser Candice Stowe and though she admitted there was a period where she was without work, she’s pleased she’s had a variety of different acting jobs.
She said: “I was quite lucky. [After ‘Corrie’], I did some drama, theatre, radio and small parts in films.
“I also did ‘Heartbeat’ and that was so lovely.
“But there was a time when there weren’t any jobs coming in.
“There was an influx of reality programmes and there weren’t many dramas being made.”
Nikki will always have fond memories of her time on the cobbles.
Asked if she’s still in touch with the ‘Corrie’ cast, she told new! magazine: “I am. I was there a few months ago and said hello to everyone.
“I’ve got nothing but good things to say about ‘Corrie’.
“It was a massive part of my life, so it’d be weird if I walked away and never thought about it again.”
If the star ever walks away from ‘Hollyoaks’, she’s not too fussy about the next job she’d be looking for.
She said: “As long as I’m acting I’m happy.
“I love TV, theatre, film and radio – every type of acting.
“I’m one of those actresses who doesn’t mind looking awful.
“I’m like, ‘Make me look c**p and I’ll go with it.'”
And Nikki would even consider taking part on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
She said of the show: “I’m always up for a challenge.
“The only thing I wouldn’t be great with is creepy crawlies.
“I wouldn’t want to eat something that tastes like arse!
“But it looks like a laugh so never say never.”

Tina O’Brien’s awkward scenes with Sam Robertson

OHMYGOSSIP — Tina O’Brien found her first ‘Coronation Street’ scenes with Sam Robertson “awkward”.
The 36-year-old actress’ alter ego Sarah Platt has stricken up a romance with the Scottish actor’s character Adam Barlow and the pair had barely time to speak to one another before they had to get very close on camera.
Tina said: “I’ll be honest, the first hour was a bit awkward as they were literally our first scenes, with lots of kissing in front of a crew of about 30!
“But within an hour, it was fine to the point that I joked with Sam that kissing him was easier than talking to him as I didn’t have to learn any lines! He is a really lovely guy.”
Tina hopes Sarah and Adam will marry because she thinks it would be “amazing” to bring together two of the soap’s most iconic families.
When asked about Sarah and Adam’s future, and if wedding bells were on the agenda, she told Inside Soap magazine: “It would be amazing, because I’d love to bring the Barlows and Platts together. They’re the two big families on the Street.”
However, the blonde beauty wouldn’t be very excited about an elaborate wedding.
She added: “If Adam and Sarah want to marry, they ought to elope! It’s not as fun as it looks when you’re stood there in a dress that you’ve been wearing for three weeks solid.”
Meanwhile, Tina admitted Helen Worth, who plays matriarch Gail Rodwell, is often responsible for ruining scenes when filming with the rest of their family because she can’t keep a straight face.
She said: “It’s usually Helen who can’t [keep a straight face], which is hilarious, because you think of her as the mother of the family. She’ll just start cracking up, and not be able to get through a scene without laughing.”

Reggie Yates writing Killed By My Fame for BBC

OHMYGOSSIP — Reggie Yates is writing a factual drama for the BBC based on the suicides of former ‘Love Island’ contestants and ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’ guests.
The 36-year-old presenter is making his writing debut on the programme ‘Killed By My Fame’, an hour-long special for BBC Three, which will explore the “brutal side of reality TV” and things like “instant fame, toxic masculinity, social media and suicide” which can come from appearing on these types of shows.
Discussing his new project, Yates, 36, said: “Growing up in television I’ve continued to be fascinated by the evolution of reality TV. I’ve often questioned how affecting whirlwind fame can become once the cameras are gone. All too often the audience sees the glamour and popularity that comes with being in the public eye, but in this drama we explore the true impact instant fame can have. I’m delighted to be partnering with BBC Three for my television writing debut and having a further creative voice as an executive producer.”
The DJ’s story will follow the life of a reality star who after making it on television finds their life spiralling downwards once the attention fades.
The new programme comes just a few months after the DCMS launched an inquiry into reality TV’s duty of care towards participants following the tragic suicides of Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon, who both appeared on ITV2 reality dating show ‘Love Island’.
Daytime series ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’ – famous for its rows and lie detector tests – was axed by ITV in May following the death of Steve Dymond, who ended his life one week after filming an episode of the series.

EastEnders’ Bianca Jackson back on September 2nd

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Bianca Jackson and Lisa Fowler will return to Walford on September 2nd.
The former Albert Square favourites – played by Patsy Palmer and Lucy Benjamin respectively – will be seen back on screen in just 10 days time to provide a double shock for residents.
Bianca will cause trouble right from the off as she returns for Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway’s (Tony Clay) wedding, and Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) will be left shocked to see her old pal Lisa back.
And Bianca’s timely return may mean Tony gets his recent wish of having a showdown with the no-nonsense character.
He said: “It would be brilliant. Callum would need a passport and to be on the go straight away if Bianca found out [he has been growing close to Ben].
“I’d be buzzing to do scenes with Patsy Palmer, so we’ll just have to see what happens as the story unfolds…”
‘EastEnders’ confirmed Patsy’s return in June, with executive producer Jon Sen admitting he made her comeback a priority on his “wish-list” when he took on the role.
He said: “When I joined the show in January, bringing Bianca Jackson back to the Square was high on my wish-list.
“I’m thrilled to announce that Patsy’s agreed to return to reprise her iconic creation in a blistering storyline that will grip fans this autumn.
“There is no one more excited than me to see her step back into Albert Square again. I simply cannot wait.”
Patsy’s return to the Square will see Bianca reunite with her troubled daughter Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith), who has had a rough ride recently after she became embroiled in a county lines drug trafficking gang.
Bianca first arrived in Albert Square in 1993 and was known for her relationship with Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen), which led to her famous catchphrase: “Rickaaay.”

Hugh Laurie leads cast of new BBC political thriller

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Laurie is to star in a new BBC political thriller.
The ‘Night Manager’ actor will play Conservative minister Peter Laurence in four-part drama ‘Roadkill’, which has been written by David Hare, and the scribe is looking forward to reuniting with the ‘House’ star.
He said: “I first worked with Hugh Laurie in 1987 when he set off on his riveting change of direction from adroit comedian to commanding dramatic actor.
“I can’t wait to see him embody the fictional future of the Conservative party in ‘Roadkill’.”
The thriller will focus on charismatic and self-made Peter’s public and private lives, which are both falling to pieces.
With others plotting to bring him down, he goes all out attack and is not troubled by guilt or remorse.
But he, like the country, will struggle to leave past events behind.
Piers Wenger, controller of BBC Drama, said: “‘Roadkill is a thriller which explores the relationship between personal morality and political power.
“Hugh Laurie is an incredible actor who will play this fictional role with utter conviction, and it is a great honour to work once again with David Hare and The Forge to bring this brilliantly sharp and funny drama to BBC One.”
Michael Keillor is set to direct the thriller and act as an executive producer alongside David, George Faber, Mark Pybus, and Lucy Richer.
Hugh previously starred as arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper in BBC thriller ‘The Night Manager’ in 2016, alongside Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander and David Harewood.

James Argent fears he could ‘become ill or die’ if he doesn’t lose weight

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent fears he could “die” if he doesn’t lose weight.
The 31-year-old star has ballooned to 24 stone, and while he has been for check-ups at the doctor, he worries he may “become ill or die” if he doesn’t shed some pounds.
James said: “I’ve had check-ups. My heart’s OK, I have no signs of diabetes and my cholesterol is not too high.
“But I was weighed and I was the biggest I’d ever been – around 24 stone. I could become ill or die.”
Arg is set to swim the Channel, from England to France, as part of a new Stand Up to Cancer show, ‘Sink or Swim’, and he is hoping the big challenge will “kick-start” his weight-loss.
He added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “The swim is an opportunity to sort my life out.
“I need to lose about eight stone or more. I’ve got a long way to go even after I swim the Channel. But it’s just a perfect way to kick-start my healthy weight loss.
“I get a bit of stick on social media for my size. You try to be thick-skinned but it does affect you.”
Earlier this month, Arg turned to boxing champion Tyson Fury in a bid to lose weight.
A source recently said: “He has asked Tyson if he can help him shift the pounds because if he doesn’t do something drastic, his health is at risk.
“He is great friends with Tyson, and he has agreed to help him out. Arg gets on much better when he is doing something he enjoys, like being in a boxing gym.
“Tyson has said he can give him tips and advice to train efficiently. He said diet and discipline was a key factor and that is where Arg really needs to sort himself out.”
