Bradley Cooper nearly quit The Place Beyond The Pines

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper nearly pulled out of ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’ because it wasn’t what he signed up for.
The 2012 American epic crime drama film starring Ryan Gosling as Luke, a motorcycle stunt rider who supports his family through a life of crime, and Cooper as Avery, a policeman who confronts his corrupt police department underwent a complete rewrite after the latter, whose involvement helped to pay for the flick, made it known he was not happy.
Speaking at IndieWire’s Screen Talk live at the New Directors/New Films festival, writer/director Derek Cianfrance recalled: “I had given [Darius Marder] the script and he had a lot of notes for it, and I kind of agreed with a lot of what he was saying. And so we rewrote every word from 10 weeks to six weeks.
“I remember giving Bradley Cooper the copy of ‘The Place Beyond the Pines,’ the new script, and getting a voice message from him saying, ‘Bro, I just want to let you know I read the new draft and I’m out.’
“He was like, ‘That’s not the movie that we had signed up to do.’”
The pair ended up having lengthy discussions in the early hours to get the ‘A Star Is Born’ star back on board, and Cianfrance thinks Cooper agreed in the end because he was getting tired.
The filmmaker continued: “I was moving my family up to Schenectady the next day [to be on location] and the whole crew was coming up there. I had all the money anyway.
“So I went up to Montreal, and I had a long conversation with him from midnight to 3:30 in the morning where I got him back on. It was only in the last five minutes [when I convinced him]. I think he just got tired. He wanted to go to bed.”
The film had a budget of $15 and made $47.1 million at the box office with mostly strong reviews.

Natalie Ann Jamieson reveals reason she doesn’t want to get married!

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Ann Jamieson isn’t keen on splashing cash on a wedding despite featuring in a historic ‘Emmerdale’ marriage storyline.
The 36-year-old actress’ Amy Wyatt character is preparing to walk down the aisle with her trans partner Matty in what will be the ITV soap’s first transgender wedding – but she has insisted she and her real-life boyfriend Ali Ward, 36, won’t be doing the same due to the crippling costs of putting on their big day.
She told the Daily Mirror: “When people tell me how much they have spent on a wedding, I think, ‘You could probably go around the world twice with the amount of money involved’. And Ali and I would definitely prefer to do that.
“We’ve been together ages, 14 years, and getting married is way down on the priority list. We are just very happy as we are.”
The actress admitted she had passed up on the chance to propose to him on this year’s Leap Day this year when Ali suggested she take advantage of the tradition of women asking men to marry them on the date.
She said: “It’s funny as Leap Day fell on the day before I was filming my ‘Emmerdale’ wedding. I replied, ‘They’ve just been saying on the news how it’s a really outdated tradition.
“Besides, I am getting married tomorrow at ‘Emmerdale’. One wedding is enough for now.’”
Looking back at the TV wedding, Natalie Ann revealed the cast began to treat her like a real bride.
She recalled: “Everyone was treating me as if it was my own wedding, it was so bizarre. Everyone was like, ‘Have you got butterflies?’
“Even on the morning of filming, my boyfriend Ali asked if I was excited my character was getting married. I was like, ‘Guys, remember this isn’t real’.
“It was the same in the run-up, too. I had dress fittings, a trial make-up another day. It was really fun, though.”
Amy will get hitched to Matty Barton, played by transgender actor Ash Palmisciano, 34, on ‘Emmerdale’ next week.
Natalie Ann said about her off-camera relationship with Ash, who came out as transgender in 2012: “Ash is the best. We live really close together in real life and it’s nice working with him as we just chat all day.”

Guy Ritchie’s Netflix hit ‘The Gentlemen’ is ‘already set for second series’

OHMYGOSSIP — Guy Ritchie could be set for another huge pay day as Netflix is reportedly in talks to renew his gangster comedy-drama series ‘The Gentlemen’.
The ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ director, 55, delivered a hit for the streamer with the first run of the show, which started on March 7, and has since racked up 44 million views.
A TV insider told The Sun about how Netflix bosses are already ready to green light its second series: “It’s going to be quite a challenge getting the same actors back together, but Netflix chiefs are keen for a sequel.
“Another hurdle will be securing Guy for the series as he already has several movie projects in the pipeline this year.
“But the success of series one has already convinced them there’s huge potential for a follow-up.”
The show – a spin-off from Guy’s 2019 gangster film of the same name – stars Ray Winstone, 67, as a gang lord as well as film hard man Vinnie Jones, 59, who starred in Guy’s ‘Lock, Stock’ as a loyal groundskeeper.
Other cast members included Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings.
As well as starring in Guy’s 1998 breakout film ‘Lock, Stock’, ex-footballer Vinnie featured in the director’s follow-up to the movie, ‘Snatch’, in 2000, alongside Brad Pitt.
Ray was cast in ‘The Gentlemen’ despite his long-running feud with Guy, which the actor last month revealed had been dragging on for decades.
The ‘Sexy Beast’ actor, who plays west London gangster Bobby Glass in the Netflix show, admitted they fell out years ago before eventually making up.
Ray told Virgin Radio’s ‘Chris Evans Breakfast Show’: “We had words years ago – a fallout.
“I was going to do (Guy’s 1998 film) ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and it didn’t happen for whatever reason.
“And I thought he was in the wrong and he probably thought I was in the wrong.
“Fisticuffs never came about, thank God. Over the years we snubbed one another but then you grow up.
“We had a meet and had a little cuddle and a chat about it. And he is a good guy.
“All those wasted years… .”

Shirley Ballas cheated on ex-boyfriend by snogging woman at wild party!

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas cheated on an ex-boyfriend by kissing a woman at a wild birthday party.
The 63-year-old presenter, best known as the head judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, admitted she was unfaithful to her former partner after drunkenly snogging a fellow partygoer.
She told Mel Giedroyc’s ‘Unforgivable’ show: “I was part of something, and that was a 40th birthday party where this wonderful young lady had too much to drink and so had I.
“We had this great big snog – she was engaged, and I had a boyfriend, so you could say it was a really strong and loveable embrace with somebody else’s girlfriend.”
Looking back at other embarrassing moments, the former ballroom dancer – who is now dating her fiancé Danny Taylor, admitted her most humiliating situation came during her interview for ‘Strictly’.
She said an ice pack, which she was using to cope with sciatica – an agonising condition that affects the body’s nerves – had leaked, which led to her completing her bid for the BBC show without wearing any underwear.
When the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column asked what her most embarrassing moment was, she said: “I had one of my interviews for ‘Strictly’. I’d flown in from the United States and I had bad sciatica. I was in terrible pain.
“I had to go straight to the BBC studios and I had those big girl knickers on. They decided to give me ice, so they got an ice pack, put it round my hip, bandaged it up, and I got my knickers on and my lovely long dress.
“Then the water started to leak – it leaked all the way over my pants… I didn’t have a spare pair, so I sat and did my interview knickerless!”
Shirley also revealed her ‘Strictly’ co-star Anton Du Beke had been a “naughty boy” once he exposed her “big girl panties” to the programme’s audience.
She recounted: “On the tour, he came up to my room and said, ‘You read, our Shirl?’
“I said, ‘I’m just popping my hair up, I’ll be out in a moment.’ I’d just bought these big girl panties. They were massive – they go right underneath your boobs.
“He stole a pair and put them in the top pocket of his tuxedo – (he) never told me.
“Then we went out on stage, I’m looking all glamorous, and he’s saying to the public, ‘Doesn’t she look lovely?’ They’re clapping and he goes, ‘I just want you to know that she wears these kind of kickers’, and he pulled them out.
“That’s Anton! He can be a bit of a naughty boy.”

Sam Taylor-Johnson refused to cast Amy Winehouse ‘impersonators’ in Back to Black

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Taylor-Johnson didn’t want to cast an “impersonator” as Amy Winehouse in ‘Back to Black’.
The 57-year-old filmmaker has helmed the new biopic about the late singer and opted to cast Marisa Abela in the lead role as she didn’t try to imitate Amy’s appearance in her audition.
Sam told the BBC: “There were many brilliant impersonators and people that looked like her or sounded like her. But Marisa came in as herself, she was the only one in the audition process who didn’t try to look like her in any way, earrings, eyeliner or anything.”
The ‘Nowhere Boy’ director revealed that she wanted to meet with Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil (portrayed by Jack O’Connell in the flick) before shooting to shed some light on the pair’s turbulent and drug-fuelled relationship but was unable to do so.
Taylor-Johnson explained: “We had to understand why Amy fell in love with him, so it wasn’t about making a one-dimensional villain. We had to fall in love with him to understand why she wrote one of the greatest albums about their love.
“In terms of Blake, it wasn’t my place to cast judgement on somebody who was obviously an addict, and (on) the two of them having this intense, albeit toxic, love affair.”
Sam and Marisa hope that the movie shows what a talented artist the ‘Rehab’ hitmaker was and are keen for audiences to carry on listening to her music once they have seen the film.
The filmmaker said: “I think she would feel we have sort of gifted her her music back again in a different light. Hopefully she would feel proud of it and us.”
Abela added: “And of herself too, as a catalogue of her achievements and what it was she was able to create as a very young woman.
“I hope she would watch it and feel proud of everything she created.”

Ethan Hawke ready for The Black Phone sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Ethan Hawke would love to make a sequel to ‘The Black Phone’.
The 53-year-old actor played serial killer The Grabber in Scott Derrickson’s hit 2022 horror flick and has revealed that he would be keen to reprise the part, even though he had seemingly met his maker at the end of the film.
Speaking to Collider, Ethan said: “Thanks, I have a good relationship, you know, like Maya (his actress daughter) said about directors – it’s really true of Scott Derrickson. I had a really wonderful experience making my first scary movie with him. We did a movie called ‘Sinister’, and he’s just a real filmmaker.
“I love the way he thinks about film and storytelling. And as I get older, I really enjoy working in different genres as an actor. It’s a way to shape (and) change yourself as a performer. By trying to learn the math of what makes a great romantic comedy, what makes a great art film, what makes a great horror film, what makes a great Western, you know, there’s a certain geometry to all that and Scott is brilliant at that. And so, basically, if he wants me to be in ‘Black Phone 2’, I’m gonna do it.”
Derrickson previously said that he would consider revisiting the characters after the movie proved to be successful at the box office.
He told TheWrap: “It’s not something that is innately exciting to me, in the case of this story. I’m interested in the characters we created, and I think there’s a tone to the movie that is unique and can be expanded upon.
“So possibly, we’ll see. You never know, but I’m certainly not closed off to the idea.”

Ruth Jones ‘touched’ by tributes from young ‘Gavin and Stacey’ fans

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Jones is being flooded with praise and thanks for ‘Gavin and Stacey’ from fans who weren’t born when the show aired.
The 57-year-old actress, who co-wrote – and starred as Nessa in – the hit BBC Three sitcom alongside James Corden, 45, from 2007 to 2009, said she’s amazed young fans gush about the show when they meet her at the door of the West End musical ‘Sister Act’ in which she’s starring as a Welsh Mother Superior.
The Daily Star quoted her as saying: “It’s funny really – I often meet people at the stage door of the theatre after a performance.
“And there are teenagers not even born when ‘Gavin and Stacey’ came out who say, ‘Oh we love it’, and it’s such a tribute, such a compliment.
“I’m really touched by that.”
‘Gavin and Stacey’ last aired in 2019 for a Christmas special, and it has been reported the cast would be reuniting once more for a festive one-off this year.
But when asked about the story – which also claimed BBC and Netflix bosses were caught in a bidding war over the episode – Ruth said it was “sadly a rumour”.
She told RTE Radio 1: “All I can say is, if there was something to say on that front, James and I would happily announce it, we would.
“Apparently there’s a bidding war going on between the BBC and Netflix and I love it because it says, ‘a source says’ – who is this source?”
The actress speculated the reunion show gossip started after she was pictured having lunch with James in the UK after he had finished his stint as ‘The Late Late Show’ presenter in the US.
She added: “Then the next thing is, ‘Oh my god they must be writing more ‘Gavin and Stacey’, which is lovely.
“It’s lovely that people are so desperate for it because imagine if it was the opposite and were like, ‘Oh, god, you’re not bringing that back again’.”
Despite insisting there was no new ‘Gavin and Stacey’ episode in the works, Ruth said she would “never say never” to another Christmas one-off special of the show.
She added on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’: “Who knows, you never say never in this world do you? I don’t know.”

Jeremy Clarkson reveals why he fears human heads will grow too big!

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson is worried human heads will grow too big due to the world becoming increasingly “confusing”.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter, 63, took aim at modern entertainment and food services for being overly-complicated, and argued the intricacies of modern life would cause people’s brains to needlessly expand.
He said in his Sunday Times column: “Already, we have many people who think that an old newspaper full of fish ’n’ chips is no match for a grilled trout on a bed of whatever the modern-day equivalent of a potato is.
“Certainly I bet you never saw the day coming when you threw your microwave in the bin and replaced it with a man on a moped.
“I’m not being a Luddite here. I want new medicines and new ways of communicating with people. I don’t even mind that artists have moved on from charcoal and crayons, but I do have to wonder about the speed we’re going.
“A study published recently determined that the human brain was roughly the same size for thousands of years, but since the 1930’s, it has begun to grow at an astonishing rate. It’s now 6.6 per cent bigger by volume, and 14.9 per cent by surface area.
“And there’s no evidence that this growth is slowing. Which means we will continue to become cleverer and more complicated until eventually our heads are so massive, it’ll become impossible to be born.”
‘The Grand Tour’ host also bashed the film ‘Dune: Part Two’ for being “completely incomprehensible” and knocked the characters of Baron Harkonnen (played by Stellan Skarsgård) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) for being too nuanced.
He said: “Everyone told me that the new ‘Dune’ movie is very good, so I went to see it. And it turns out they were lying. It’s completely incomprehensible.
“By concentrating pretty hard, I worked out that the guy from ‘Ronin,’ in the black vinyl nightie, was the baddie. But after the woman from ‘Mission: Impossible’ drank the blood from a supersonic earwig and was suddenly covered in writing, it’s possible she was up to no good too.
“Luckily, however, I live in Chipping Norton, where the local cinema is fitted with comfortable sofas and pretty waitresses who bring you rosé, so I got a bottle, relaxed and concentrated on that instead.”

Eamonn Holmes stranded by Storm Kathleen!

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes was late for his morning presenting job after being stranded by Storm Kathleen.
The 64-year-old broadcaster was replaced by Tom Harwood, 27, for the first 75 minutes of Monday (08.04.24) morning’s GB News breakfast show after he was unable to make it to the network’s London studio on time for its 6am start.
Tom appeared alongside Isabel Webster, 41, who told viewers: “It’s a bit different this morning. Eamonn is on his way in but he’s been caught up in Storm Kathleen. More on that a little bit later.”
Eamonn made it into the studio by 7.15am and joined Tom and Isabel on the show as he patted Tom on the back for stepping in for him.
Isabel asked the Northern Irish former Sky News anchor: “What a shocker, Eamonn, so what happened?
“You were at the airport by 11am yesterday morning.. .”
Eamonn said he didn’t get home until 11.30am on Sunday, adding: “It’s just one of those things.
“The weather situation… a lot of people in the further north would have been through it as they were more likely to be affected.
“So Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow, Aberdeen – they were all affected by it. But we are here.”
He then jokingly tugged Tom’s arm and told him to “get out” of his seat.
Isabel had told her Instagram followers in a video about Eamonn’s absence she had “cut him some slack” for not being punctual.
Eamonn – who has suffered a string of health woes linked to his double hip replacement surgery – added he was feeling a bit hoarse.
He went on to say his landing at Heathrow Airport, London, was turbulent.
Eamonn had taken to his social media on Sunday (07.04.24) to update his fans about being hit by flight days as Storm Kathleen battered Britain – grounding more than 100 flights across the nation.
He captioned a selfie snapped at Heathrow: “Huge winds playing havoc with flights today. Not sure you’ll be seeing me on @GBNews Breakfast tomorrow the way things are going? Been in Glasgow airport since 11am.”

Kate Garraway shooting secret new TV project abroad!

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway has been filming a secret new TV project abroad after the release of her tear-jerking ‘Derek’s Story’ documentary.
The 56-year-old ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-host – who told in the show of the devastating impact of her late husband Derek’s Covid battle before his death aged 56 in January from a heart attack – took to social media after an airplane trip to reveal she was fresh from filming.
She said in a caption on her Instagram alongside a photograph of a bouquet of orchids she took while on board a flight: “Just landed back home after an amazing week filming – meeting some truly inspirational people (can reveal all in September.)”
She added about her bumpy journey: “Every flight that lands safely is a good flight by me! But this was exceptional.
“Despite storms internationally and delays the staff were calm and kind and managed to look as fresh as these flowers – even on landing.
“I am more resembling potpourri but feel great!!!”
‘Kate Garraway: Derek’s Story’ was shown in March as the final part of a trilogy of documentaries about the her late political strategist and psychotherapist husband Derek’s Draper’s battle with Covid.
At the end of September, Derek reached the grim milestone of being Britain’s longest surviving Covid patient after spending 184 days in and out of intensive care with the virus – which left him in a coma, battling sepsis and robbed of his speech.
His health fight saw Kate forced into a long break from work as she became his full-time carer once he was released from hospital – which she said left her in crippling debt of at least £800,000.
She said when she returned to presenting duties on ‘Good Morning Britain’ she felt ashamed for being “completely broke” and said her “well paid” ITV job wasn’t enough to cover the cost of being a carer.
Kate added on the show about how she had been inundated with letters from fellow carers: “I’m sad because I don’t have the chance to care any more but it felt wrong to walk away from the caring campaign I felt I have a responsibility for.
“I’ve had 8,000 letters from people saying, ‘Please don’t give up’… because we need (the care system) to change.
“If something can be done it will be a wonderful legacy for Derek.”
On her latest documentary about Derek, she said: “Derek’s care costs more than my salary from ITV and that’s before you pay for a mortgage or household bills or anything for the kids – so that is a crunch point.
“We are entirely reliant on extraordinary carers but the system they work for is incredibly complicated and underfunded.”
“Why is it people get sick and it’s no longer considered the right thing for them to be in hospital – why does coming home feel like falling off a cliff?”

Stephanie Waring exits Hollyoaks after 28 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring is set to leave ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 46-year-old actress – who plays Cindy Cunningham on the long-running soap – has taken to social media to announce that she’s leaving the show, amid a wave of cast exits.
Stephanie – who made her ‘Hollyoaks’ debut in 1996 – wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe I am writing this and I have taken the last two weeks to process and come to terms with the shock of what I am about to say.
“I am heartbroken to announce that my character of Cindy has been included in the actors reduction of Hollyoaks.
“As an actress obviously I understand there are no jobs for life but with my 28 years on the show I hoped that Cindy would survive the exciting revamp and continue into its new era, especially as I began playing her in 1996, making me the only original cast member remaining to be included in the cast cull, which I can only describe as gutting.
“I was given the chance to say I had chosen to quit the show to spare me any embarrassment of revealing that I’ve been axed, which was very kind but I don’t want to lie to the fans who have followed Cindy’s journey for nearly 3 decades as I believe they know she nor I would ever have left the show by choice, Hollyoaks is in my blood and I have loved every minute of walking in Cindy’s heels.
“I would like to add that I totally understand all shows evolve, so whilst I cannot hide my devastation I can only express my gratitude for my time on the show and respect the producers decision with no anger just sadness. (sic)”
Stephanie also revealed that she’d love to return to the show one day.
The actress said: “I will relish every last scene I have left to play with the gift of a role that is Cindy Cunningham. I don’t know how or why she exits yet but I have been assured I’m not being killed off, which I’m thankful for as in soap land anything can happen so I’d like to think we’ll see her again but who knows.
“On a personal note, whilst I currently can’t imagine a life away from my Hollyoaks family or being Cindy, who will always remain a part of me, I know that on my last day I’ll walk out with my head held high, even if my mascara is still running! (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond is to host a brand new show for the BBC where she will spend the weekend with celebrities in their homes .
The 49-year-old presenter is best known for fronting ‘This Morning’ for ITV and was also recently announced as the new host of ‘For the Love of Dogs’ on the network following the death of Paul O’Grady but will now take on a new role at the rival broadcaster for a six-part series titled ‘Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend.’
She said: “I’m so excited to serve up some big lols and tons of OMG revelations on the BBC as I spend some quality time with some of the UK’s favourite celebrities. When I’m on a mission no secret is safe, and trust me no stone or cupboard will go unturned!”
Details of which celebrities are to take part will be announced at a later date but bosses at the BBC have teased that a host of “big names” are signing up because Alison – who also recently joined ‘The Great British Bake Off’ as a presenter – is one of the best-loved TV stars in the country.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC said: “Alison is one of the most warm-hearted presenters in the UK.
“It’s no surprise that big name celebrities are lining up to have her spend the weekend at their homes. It’s going to be a blast!”
The news comes just days after the former ‘Big Brother’ contestant claimed she “never wanted” the full-time hosting position on ‘This Morning’ following the introduction of Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, and that she and Dermot O’Leary were happy presenting the Friday slot and covering holidays.
She told The Sunday Times magazine: “We’re the Friday guys! We love being Friday guys!”
Asked if there was any discussion about her presenting more often, she added: “Absolutely not. How could I? I live in Birmingham and do ‘Bake Off’ and ‘For the Love of Dogs’. I never wanted that job. Last year we did extra because we were going through issues, but Cat and Ben will save that show.”

Kirsten Dunst asked husband Jesse Plemons to star in Civil War: ‘It’s not a role he wanted to play’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirsten Dunst had to convince Jesse Plemons to play a small role in ‘Civil War’.
The 41-year-old actress is married to fellow Hollywood star Jesse, 36, and plays a renowned war photojournalist in the upcoming drama film but needed an actor to play an unnamed soldier in a pivotal scene of the film.
She told MovieWeb: “It’s not a role that he wanted to play. I kind of asked him to play it for us because he’s such a brilliant actor!”
The ‘Power of the Dog’ star workerd with director Alex Garland on the futuristic film – which sees a team of journalists travel across the United States during a multiparty Second American Civil War – and explained that she was immediately interested in working with him after reading the script.
She told ScreenRant: “I’ve been a fan of Alex Garland’s since ‘Ex Machina’, and he makes so few films, and I’ve read screenplays of his, but never had the opportunity to work with him, so this was an opportunity. I knew that he was meeting with other people as well. So I read the script immediately, and I Zoomed with him the next day. I just wanted to be a part of whatever he was going to tell.
“I knew that he’s someone that takes major swings and, even though he hates the word auteur, he is. He’s an auteur. So then when I got the part, I was just like, ‘Give me a camera immediately’.
“And then we all rehearsed together, and we watched two films that really meant a lot to all of us, The Marie Colvin documentary, ‘Under The Wire’, and then ‘Come and See’, which is a, I think it’s a Russian film.. So those were two of some of the things that we watched together in our process.”

Robert Downey Jr would ‘happily’ play Iron Man again

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Downey Jr. would “happily” play Iron Man again.
The 58-year-old actor portrayed Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego in 11 movies from 2008’s ‘Iron Man’ to 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and although his beloved character was killed off in the later movie, the Oscar-winning star insisted that doesn’t have to mean fans have seen the last of him.
He explained to Esquire magazine in a new interview: “It’s too integral a part of my DNA. That role chose me. And look, I always say, never, ever bet against Kevin Feige. It is a losing bet. He’s the house. He will always win.”
Elsewhere in the interview, his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow – who played Tony’s assistant and wife Pepper Potts – revealed she gave up learning her lines for the films because of Downey’s insistence on “throwing out” his scripts and improvising new dialogue at the last minute.
She said: “There would be this process of [director] Jon Favreau and Robert and I going into Jon’s trailer in the morning and Robert being like, ‘I’m not saying these lines’ and throwing them out.
“And then live improv-ing either in the trailer or on the set. I think in order for something to feel alive for Robert, it has to feel fresh, and he makes it fresh by making it feel like it was just invented.
“So many of those famous lines were written 10 minutes before we said them.”
Despite the ‘Oppenheimer’ actor’s comments, in December, MCU boss Kevin Feige insisted there are no plans to “magically undo” the character’s death so he can make an appearance in future films in the blockbuster series.
Asked by America’s Vanity Fair magazine if Downey could return to the role, Kevin said: “We are going to keep that moment and not touch that moment again.
“We all worked very hard for many years to get to that, and we would never want to magically undo it in any way.”

Rita Simon hints at EastEnders return after being killed off: ‘I wouldn’t get a coffin!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons refused to get in a coffin when her character left ‘EastEnders’.
The 47-year-old actress – who now stars as Marie Fielding in Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ – had played Roxy Mitchell on the BBC soap opera for a decade when she and her on-screen sister Ronnie (Samantha Womack) were supposedly killed off in 2017 but when asked about a possible comeback, mentioned a series of other characters who had come back from the dead.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “Listen, [there] was Dirty Den’s return, Michelle [Collins] as Cindy…I think in soap when you get asked to go in a coffin, you say no. I did!
