Sam Hall axed from Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Hall has reportedly been axed from ‘Emmerdale’.
The 20-year-old actor has portrayed Samson Dingle since he was just five years old but has been left “absolutely gutted” after producers told him they were killing off his alter ego.
The decision is said to not have been popular with the cast, leaving Sam’s on-screen family “angry”.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Sam had a meeting with bosses earlier this month where they broke the news.
“He has been left devastated. He’s grown up with his on-screen Dingle clan and they are all very protective of him.
“Some of the cast even went to talk to bosses about their decision.
“As news of his axing swept through the building there were quite a lot of angry Dingles.
“The fact that they are planning on killing him off means there’ll be no way back for him either.
“He’s absolutely gutted.”
Sam – whose storylines have included being a teenage dad – previously admitted he enjoyed it when the younger cast members took centre stage on the show.
He told Metro.co.uk: “I think it’s great to give the teenagers these storyline as it gives us a chance to film something different and show the younger people in the village.
“I love the scenes where he is getting up to not good without a doubt. I would be friends with Samson in real life because deep down he is a good lad!’”
And he was excited for the future of his alter ego.
He added: “As my character gets older, it gives me the opportunity to be in bigger storylines and the chance to develop Samson’s character.
“I’ve enjoyed every minute of working there and look forward to the rest. I love being a Dingle, I couldn’t ask for anything better. It’s great every time I get to film with the family. In fact after filming with them for so many years, it doesn’t feel like work at all.”
An ‘Emmerdale’ spokesperson declined to comment.

Bruno Tonioli wants to ‘drop dead on stage’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Tonioli wants to die on stage.
The 68-year-old Italian choreographer has enjoyed a career beyond his wildest dreams and the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge has no plans to retire because he adores his work so hopes when the end comes, it will be while he’s doing what he loves
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “If I drop dead I will drop dead on stage. I love what I do. I always had this dream since I was a kid and what has happened is beyond what I could have ever dreamed of.
“Obviously I had to work very hard, I had to teach myself languages, but still being here, still working in the UK, still working in Hollywood. It’s like, ‘Wow! It’s meant to be’.”
Bruno was one of the original judges on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but left ahead of the 2020 series because of COVID-19 travel restrictions – and he’s not watched a single episode with his replacement, Anton Du Beke, on the panel.
He said: “I haven’t watched it, but it’s funny, I never watched it when I was in it. I have no regrets.
“I’m still doing ‘Dancing With The Stars’ in America.
“I haven’t spoken to Anton, they are all still my friends.
“The show is extremely successful and I had a fantastic time on it.”
As well as his judging work, Bruno is keen to do more acting and is eyeing a sinister “baddie” role – though he wouldn’t want people to think he’d just been hired as a “celebrity booking”.
He said: “I’ve sung, I’ve danced, I’ve done all of that, but I want to play a baddie.
“I’d do it uncredited because you put my name on and they say it’s a celebrity booking, that’s s***t.
“I want to play a baddie, a mafioso, a drug dealer. I love ‘The Gentlemen’.”
Bruno admitted he is considering getting Botox injections – after realising he’s the only one on the ‘BGT’ panel, which also includes Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, with wrinkles.
He said: “I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror and said, ‘Bloody hell, I am the only person with wrinkles’.
“I do my thing but I haven’t done Botox yet. I will now. There’s nothing wrong with it if it makes you look better on screen, I’m not commenting on that.
“I think I could do with a bit. I’m very expressive, so I’m not sure if I could cope if I couldn’t move my face.
“But you have choices. I’m not one to criticise people’s choices.
“If it makes you feel better there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Hilary Swank wouldn’t take Boys Don’t Cry role now

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilary Swank wouldn’t take her Oscar-winning role in ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ today.
The 49-year-old star shot to fame when she played Brandon Teena, a trans man who was murdered in a hate crime, in the 1999 drama and she thinks if it was remade now, the role would offer a “great opportunity” for a trans actor, but she defended taking the role herself, insisting it was “such different times” back then.
She told The Times’ Saturday Review: “Now for the most part, in most places, it’s accepted to be a trans person. [But] at that time, people weren’t even coming out as gay and lesbian, it was a career killer, or whatever. They weren’t ready to tell their family, or maybe they weren’t even ready to tell themselves.
“We’re in such different times — I feel like it would be a great opportunity for an actor who’s trans to play that role.”
However, Hilary insisted trans actors shouldn’t only be getting trans roles.
She added: “But I also feel like actors are actors. We are supposed to play different people and I would like to hope trans people are getting the opportunity to play non-trans people as well.”
The actress believes “100 per cent” that ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ helped improve understanding of trans people in wider society but still feels more is needed.
She said: “It was a jumping-off board to start a conversation that was needed, and we need this conversation to continue until everyone’s leading a safe life.”
Hilary lived as a man for a month to prepare for the film and when she played a boxer in ‘Million Dollar Baby’, she ate 60 egg whites a day and contracted mercury poisoning from eating too much fish as she transformed her body.
The ‘Ordinary Angels’ star enjoys being able to deeply dedicate herself to a role but admitted radical transformations are “few and far between” these days.
She said: “I like those transformative roles, the collaborative process of getting to that point, whether it’s with the hair and make-up people or a trainer, or whether it’s just walking in someone else’s shoes who is so different from me physically.
“It allows me to see the world in different ways. I’d be up for a role like that again, but they’re so few and far between.”

Simon Cowell plans to get in touch with ‘great friends’ Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has insisted Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are still “great friends” of his and he wants to repair their rift.
The music mogul was mocked by the pair during their recent appearance on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, which prompted a war-of-words between Sharon and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda Holden, but the ‘X Factor’ boss doesn’t bear them any ill will and admitted he should probably get in touch with the duo.
Simon – who ditched his mobile phone eight years ago – told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “If you put Sharon and Louis in the house, that’s what you pay them for, they’re going to be controversial. I still consider Sharon and Louis really good friends, we could pick up the phone to each other tomorrow. I think that’s probably one of the things they’re upset about, because they can never get hold of me.
“Amanda is a great friend, but I really do believe Sharon and Louis are great friends as well. I don’t have a phone but from what I heard, what they said about me was actually quite funny. And I probably will phone them both in the next week or so, because I haven’t spoken to them for a while and it sounds like I should do.
“What would I like to say to them? ‘How are you?’ Whenever I meet them, see them, speak to them, it’s like we’ve spoken yesterday. My honest opinion is I think we miss each other.”
Meanwhile, Simon also revealed he is hoping to team up with former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl for a new TV talent show because he loved working with her on ‘The X Factor’.
He said: “Cheryl was brilliant on the show, great to work with, really good fun – and there might be something coming up where we might be working together, funnily enough.
“I can’t tell you much at the moment. I don’t think it will be on a streaming service, this one, and it won’t be ‘X Factor’. But it will be TV because Cheryl is great on TV. She’s fantastic.
“Just as Sharon and Louis were as well – they both did a brilliant job. I have a lot to be thankful for with both of them.
“The project I’m working with Cheryl on is in very early stages, and until it’s signed I’m really superstitious. Once it’s signed I couldn’t care less, but until then I try to keep things confidential.”

Rose Ayling-Ellis to host Paralympics for Channel 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Ayling-Ellis will help front the coverage of the Paralympics this summer.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress – who won the 2021 series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with Giovanni Pernice – will lead the team for Channel 4’s coverage of the competition in Paris, becoming the first deaf host, with the production team lined up to work with her able to communicate using sign language.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It’s an exciting new move for Rose and she is really looking forward to getting stuck into the Paralympics and learning about all the sports and teams.
“Everyone on set will be able to sign language in a new move for the TV team.”
The news comes a few months after it was revealed the 29-year-old star will appear in a TV adaptation of the first ‘Tuva Moodyson’ novel by Will Dean, ‘Dark Pines’, which follows a deaf journalist attempting to solve mysterious murders in an isolated Swedish town
She said in a statement: “As soon as I read Charlotte’s scripts and then dived further into Will’s books, I just knew this was a role I wanted to play and a world I wanted to explore.”
The series, which is being helmed by the studio behind ‘Death in Paradise’, Red Planet Pictures, will also see her act as an executive producer alongside Belinda Campbell, Caroline Skinner and the show’s writer, Charlotte Jones.
As well as ‘Dine Pines’, Rose previously revealed she was working on a comedy-drama that centred around the London dating life of a deaf women.
She told Deadline: “This is something that hasn’t been spoken about. We hear a lot about being female and how women appear in the dating scene but as a deaf woman, it’s a very different experience. It will be nice to share that story.”
The TV star is also set to supervise a disabled writers’ room for the project, but has insisted that she will not be the sole writer, as she is currently “engaging with some exciting writers” to ensure the show stays as relatable and honest as possible.
She continued: “There are so many different people in the show and I can’t speak on behalf of their experiences so I wanted a team that could put it all together. I won’t exactly be going to the countryside to spend months writing this.”

James Gunn thanks Zack Snyder for being ‘incredibly supportive’

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has praised “incredibly supportive” Zack Snyder.
The 57-year-old filmmaker is co-head of DC Studios along with Peter Safran and taking over the DC Cinematic Universe – which launched with Zack’s ‘Superman: Man of Steel’ in 2013 and saw that phase end with 2023 sequel ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ – and after the ‘Rebel Moon’ director said he was “excited” about what was to come under the guidance of the pair, James revealed they have been in contact.
Zack told CBR about the future of the DCU: “You know, I’m a pretty open book. I really feel like, you know, if the characters are treated with reverence, and mythologically correct, then I’m down. I’m in.
“Let’s see what happens. I’m pretty excited. I mean, we’re going to get Superman pretty soon, so we’ll see what that’s like.”
A fan on Threads then asked James if he’d seen Zack’s comments and he replied: “I didn’t, but I knew it already because he’s texted me. He’s been incredibly supportive throughout this process.”
In February, the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ filmmaker revealed he and Zack had been in contact.
He told a fan on X, formerly Twitter: “He contacted me to express his support about my choices. He’s a great guy. Again, he seems really happy with the massive world-building he’s doing now.”
The new phase of the DCU will kick off with ‘Superman’, which will star David Corenswet in the title role alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer. It is due for release on July 11, 2025.

ITV to launch new YouTube channel Celebs Up Close

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV has announced a new YouTube channel called ‘Celebs Up Close’.
The broadcaster will share clips of archived celebrity interviews from shows such as ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, ‘Lorraine’ and ‘This Morning’ on the dedicated channel.
ITV told The Sun: “We have unlocked the ITV Studios catalogue and trawled the depths of the archive to bring you this exciting new channel.”
The channel officially launches on May 1 via www.youtube.com/@celebsupclose.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross previously admitted he’s “glad” he has never interviewed a member of the Royal Family
The ‘Masked Singer’ judge and talk show host is keen to not “get involved” with all their drama but has nothing but nice things about the royals, having “met them all”.
The 63-year-old star told the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “I’ve never interviewed anyone in the royal family and at the moment I’m quite glad that’s the case. I don’t want to get involved in other people’s business. I’ve met them all, though.
“I met the Queen several times, which always felt very special. Prince Philip was always quite funny. I think I met Harry briefly. I’ve met William a lot. I haven’t met Kate. I have met Andrew but we don’t talk about that any more. Charles I’ve met loads of times, and Camilla is a laugh.”
The comedian has invited celebrity guests to bare all on his eponymous talk show since 2011.
Jonathan has been competing with rival chat show host Graham Norton, 61, for years, and previously claimed his fellow TV presenter is ahead of the game in terms of booking movie stars.
He previously said of ‘The Graham Norton Show’ host: “I think Graham gets first bite of film guests.
“Some stars prefer his show over mine because they’re less protected on my programme. If they go on Graham’s, three guests all sit together on the sofa.”

Olivia Attwood thought Loose Women offer was a joke

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood thought an offer for her to become a ‘Loose Women’ panelist “was a joke”.
The 32-year-old ‘Love Island’ star has confessed she’s been watching the show for years and thought it would be “surreal” to be a part of it despite having been a guest several times – and she was stunned to given a formal offer to join the panel last year.
She told OK! magazine: “It wasn’t something that was on the mood board. It all happened really organically. I was a guest on the show a couple of times, and I always loved it when I was.
“I joked to my agent saying ‘Imagine me as a Loose Woman’ and she said she really could. Then one of the show’s bosses got in touch and we went out for lunch, she asked me how I would feel about trying it out, and I said, ‘Oh my God, are you serious?’ I almost thought it was a joke.”
Olivia added: “I watched that show on TV when I was a kid, when I was off sick from school – my mum would always have it on the telly, so it’s quite surreal to be doing it now.”
She went on to insist she gets on well with all the other panelists and credits them with giving her plenty of tips and advice.
Olivia has carved out a successful career in TV following her stint in the ‘Love Island’ villa back in 2017 – filming her own series of documentaries for ITV exploring issues such as porn, trolling and beauty standards as well as shooting reality show ‘Olivia Marries Her Match’ about her wedding to Bradley Dack.

Cary Elwes ‘hit the jackpot’ with Princess Bride role

OHMYGOSSIP — Cary Elwes “hit the jackpot” when he landed a starring role in 1987 movie ‘Princess Bride’.
The 61-year-old actor was catapulted to fame playing Westley in Rob Reiner’s fantasy comedy and Cary admits the film kickstarted his Hollywood career and holds a special place in his heart because it is still loved by fans almost 40 years later.
He told PEOPLE: “Once I got that part, that really kind of opened the door for me and that’s how I got the role of Robin Hood with Mel Brooks [in ‘Robin Hood: Men in Tights’].
“So that was really Rob basically saying, ‘I believe that you can do comedy and I can believe you do serious as well.’ So, yeah.”
He went on to add that ‘Princess Bride’ is still a big part of his working life, explaining: “I have sold-out shows. I tour with the movie and I sell out everywhere I go. It’s crazy. It’s really beautiful.”
Cary concluded: “You’re lucky as an actor to have anyone resonate with your work and I seem to hit the jackpot with that one.”
In the film, Cary starred alongside Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Peter Falk and Billy Crystal and it became a cult classic despite failing to score huge numbers at the box office.
In 2016, ‘Princess Bride’ was selected by America’s Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”.
Cary went on to appear in films such as ‘Glory’, ‘Days of Thunder’, ‘ Bram Stoker’s Dracula’ and ‘Liar Liar’. His latest project, spy thriller ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ was released this month.

Keanu Reeves gets seal of approval of his ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ co-stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba is thrilled Keanu Reeves has joined him in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’.
The 59-year-old star is a new member of the voice cast in the upcoming flick in the hit franchise based on Sega’s successful video games series, having replaced Jason Griffith in the role of Shadow, and he has been given the seal of approval from both Idris, who voices Knuckles, and his predecessor.
Idris, 51, told IGN: “I’m a big fan of his.
“I’ve heard that he’s a fan of mine, and we are destined to make something together. So, here we go.”
Jason told TMZ of the ‘John Wick’ star’s casting: “It’s a great choice.
“Shadow is now being voiced by Ted Theodore Logan, John Wick, and Neo, so I think that’s a pretty good company to keep.
“I think it’s an excellent casting choice, myself.”
The 43-year-old voice actor – who voiced the anthropomorphic black hedgehog for three years – was keen for Keanu to land the part before it was made official.
Jason added: “In fact, when there were rumours about Keanu and several other actors, and people would ask me who did I think it would be if it weren’t me, I said, ‘I hope it’s Keanu.'”
The character was first introduced in the 2001 video game ‘Sonic Adventure 2’ and has extraordinary speed and Chaos Control powers that allow him to manipulate both space and time.
He is initially seen as anti-Sonic but later becomes an ally to the blue protagonist in the games.
The ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ franchise launched with a successful flick in 2020 – which was then surpassed by the 2022 sequel – and producer Toby Ascher recently revealed that he wants new releases of the movies to become “Avengers-level events”.
The third film also stars Ben Schwartz (Sonic), James Marsden (Tom Wachowski) and Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnik).

BBC delays early iPlayer release of EastEnders to add in London Marathon scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC has delayed the ‘EastEnders’ early morning iPlayer release on Monday (22.04.24) to include real footage from the London Marathon.
Cast members Emma Barton (Jay) and Jamie Borthwick (Honey) ran the race in real life on Sunday (21.04.24) and it’s also part of the storyline for the BBC One soap as they took part in memory of Lola (Danielle Harold), Jay’s wife who lost her battle with cancer after a heartbreaking brain tumour battle.
The episode will be available on the streaming platform at the later time of 1pm and on BBC One from 7.30pm.
EastEnders announced on social media: “Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick have just completed the London Marathon for an upcoming storyline that will see their characters, Honey and Jay, take on the event in memory of their beloved Lola.
“As well as running on behalf of their chosen charities, Emma and Jamie run parts in character to film various scenes along the route. These scenes will be edited into the main show this evening and viewers will be able to watch the special scenes tomorrow (Monday 22nd April) from 1300 on BBC iPlayer and at 1930 on BBC One. @londonmarathon #LondonMarathon.”
Jamie said of the reason behind their run: “Over the last 18 months, we have seen a storyline where my [Jay’s] wife Lola, had developed a brain tumour. We just really tried to make it as real as we could and our lovely boss dropped the idea to us that maybe our characters would run the marathon.”
Emma said: “I think it’s a really clever idea that EastEnders have done to show what a lot of the people all over the country are doing. And that’s raising money for their charities or in memory of a loved one. As Honey and Jay are going to be running the London Marathon, we are going to be filmed live on the London Marathon day, which will then go into Monday April 22’s show at 7.30pm. This has never been done before in soap history.”
Asked if they were ready for filming during the race, Emma said : “We just have to treat it like any other scene of EastEnders, professionally, we’re gonna get it done and then we can relax for the last half.”
Emma ran on behalf of BBC Children in Need, whilst Jamie raised money for Prostate Cancer UK in memory of his relatives.

Not The Nine O’Clock News revival wanted by sketch writer

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Not The Nine O’Clock News’ sketch writer Richard Sparks would love to see the show revived.
The hit sketch show was broadcast on BBC2 from 1979 to 1982, it originally started as an alternative to the Nine O’Clock News on BBC1 and featured satirical sketches on then-current news stories and popular culture, as well as parody songs, comedy sketches, re-edited videos, and spoof television formats.
The likes of Rowan Atkinson, Pamela Stephenson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones, and Chris Langham took part.
And Richard, who penned some of the sketches, would love to see the topical comedy show return after fellow satirical show ‘Spitting Image’ got revived in 2020 on BritBox.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s HOT TV column as saying: “You could easily do a new series today.
“It’s simply satire. You just take the news and mock it.
“There are shows like that around and they revived Spitting Image.
“So there is room for good satire and good comedy.”
However, Richard insists there would be no point bringing back the programme if they can’t lay into politicians.
He continued: “I’m not in favour of censorship in any way.
“Comedians are meant to be lords of misrule and agents of disruption.
“If we go around flattering the politicians, it doesn’t do them or the audience any good.”
The ‘New Rock New Role’ author added: “The whole idea was to do topical news for the younger generation.
“So while the parents were watching the news, their kids were watching ‘Not The Nine O’Clock News’.

Laura Anderson wants to interview Love Island mega-fan Margot Robbie

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Anderson hopes to interview ‘Love Island’ super-fan Margot Robbie.
The 34-year-old TV star – who appeared in the 2018 series of the ITV programme – was left shocked after friends of the ‘Barbie’ actress, 33, reached out to her ahead of Margot’s birthday asking for a personal video message.
Now, Laura has revealed she is determined to capitalise on her ‘Love Island’ bond she shares with the Hollywood legend.
During an interview with the MailOnline, she said: “I would quite like to interview like Margot Robbie in the future because she’s a big fan of ‘Love Island’ and that would be quite cool because me and some of the other islanders from season 4 were asked by some of her friends to send them a video for her birthday once.
“She had a ‘Love Island’ themed birthday party on a yacht, and they played all of us saying happy birthday to her and she was so excited. The fact that she actually kind of knows who I am is very cool.
“They got a few people, but it was all our season and they sent us a video of her reaction. She was like, ‘Oh Laura’, you know saying my name and I was like, ‘Oh my God she knows who we are!’”
Laura isn’t the only ‘Love Island’ star Margot has come into contact with, as Chris Taylor – who appeared on the programme in 2019 – made a cameo as a Ken in ‘Barbie’, whilst Liberty Poole, David Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu met Margot at the UK premiere of the blockbuster.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he said: “It was really weird because she knew who we all were.
“She literally came over and gave me a hug and knew my name, it was really weird.
“We sat down and I started talking to her and she is literally the nicest person I’ve probably ever met in my life.”

‘We are really good friends’: Josie Gibson denies Stephen Mulhern romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson has insisted there is “no romance in the air” after rumours were sparked that she might be dating Stephen Mulhern.
The TV stars were seen holding hands outside the ITV Studios in London last week, where they filmed the final episode of ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.
However, Josie – who is a single mother to five-year-old son Reggie-James – has denied the reports and insisted she and the 47-year-old presenter are just “really good friends”.
Breaking her silence, she told OK! Magazine: “Stephen? Oh, he’s so lovely. We are really good friends, I really adore him, but there’s no romance in the air.
“But he’s so nice. Every bloke that I come in contact with, the press seems to think that I’m having it off with them. People must think I’m a right goer. I’m not like that.”
The ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ star went on to explain that she would only ever embark on a new romance or kiss someone if she was deeply in love.
She said: “To be with somebody or to even kiss somebody, I’ve really got to love them. I’ve really got to really be into them.
“I can’t give my energy over when I’m not completely into it. You know when you get that magic connection?
“For me it only comes around like once every seven years or eight years. I love the love because those are very, very special [moments] when you find them.”
Despite being a single mum, the 39-year-old star never feels lonely.
She added: “To be honest, since I’ve had him, I don’t suffer from that loneliness.
“I don’t really ever get lonely and that’s probably why it’s stopped me from finding somebody or dating anyone.
“He’s just filled a gap, like he’s filled a hole – something that I’ve always wanted.”

‘It was everywhere’: Alisha Weir shocked by the blood involved in Abigail

OHMYGOSSIP — Alisha Weir was stunned by the amount of blood involved in ‘Abigail’.
The 14-year-old star plays the titular role in the vampire movie and explained that she was taken aback by the deluge of claret that was spilled during the making of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s film.
Speaking to Collider, Alisha said: “I think what surprised me most was, I mean, the obvious one was how much blood there was. Reading the script, you don’t know how much blood there’s going to be because it doesn’t tell you on the script.
“So getting to be on the sets, I think the sets definitely surprised me, too. Everything, even in the big house that you see at the start, it was all set, like the decorations and everything, everything was so detailed, and it was amazing to see that.
“But I think the main one would be how much blood there was. It was just getting more and more and more, honestly, I was just so used to it at the end. It was everywhere, and I didn’t even mind it at the end.”
The picture marked Weir’s first part in a horror film and she urged other performers to “have fun” if they are cast in a project with lots of blood and gore.
The ‘Matilda the Musical’ actress said: “I would say just have fun. The blood’s gonna get everywhere, so you honestly just have to just let it be.
“It’s going to get there anyway, so don’t try to rub it off in between takes because it’s just gonna get loaded back on you. Just embrace the blood, honestly, because it’s gonna get everywhere anyways.”

Scarlett Johansson will produce the new Jurassic World movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson is set to produce the new ‘Jurassic World’ film.
The 39-year-old actress is taking on the lead role in the latest movie in the dinosaur franchise and has now signed up to take responsibility behind the camera as well, just as Margot Robbie did with ‘Barbie’.
Scarlett is set to have considerable input into the creative process of the movie – which is thought to be launching a “new Jurassic era” with a brand new storyline – alongside director Gareth Edwards.
A movie insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Scarlett has been in talks with the studio for months and made it clear that Gareth was her first choice to be the director.
“He wanted a big fee but has now signed. With him being her top pick, she is now far more interested in being part of the movie and her role as an actress and producer is justifiable.”
‘Bridgerton’ star Jonathan Bailey is also in talks to appear in the film – slated for release in July 2025 – but returns for the ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy character played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard appear to be off the table.
Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum are also unlikely to feature in the new picture after the trio reprised their roles for the 2022 movie ‘Jurassic World Dominion’.
Steven Spielberg will executive produce the latest film after helming the first two movies in the series in the 1990s.
The upcoming flick is the seventh movie in the franchise but filmmaker Colin Trevorrow suggested that the sequels should never have been made after his film ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ suffered from negative reviews.
He told Empire magazine: “There probably should have only been one ‘Jurassic Park’ – but if we’re gonna do it, how can I allow them to tell stories in a world which dinosaurs exist, as opposed to, here’s another reason why we’re going to an island?”
