‘Itt’ll be here soon’: Whoopi Goldberg teases Sister Act 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Whoopi Goldberg has promised ‘Sister Act 3’ is coming “soon”.
The 68-year-old actress – who plays Deloris Van Cartier in the film franchise – is “excited” about the long-awaited movie and though she didn’t share any details about the plot, she has reassured fans that they won’t need to wait too much longer to see the film.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I can say it’s coming. It’s coming around the mountain when it comes. It’ll be here soon. I’m excited. It’s time for it, you know, it’s time.”
After years of delays, Whoopi thinks now is the right time for the movie.
She explained: “Because we need to laugh, you know?
“I don’t know what we’re going into, but whatever it is, I’m gonna need to chuckle a lot…I think I’m good when I make other people laugh, too.”
Earlier this month, the ‘View’ presenter – who is also producing the movie along with Tyler Perry – revealed she had offered Pope Francis a cameo in the film because he seemed to be “a bit of a fan”.
She told Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show’: “I offered one. He said he’d see what his time was like.”
In October 2022, Whoopi admitted she would love Nicki Minaj, Lizzo, and Keke Palmer to be cast in ‘Sister Act 3’.
Speaking to host Charlamagne Tha God on Comedy Central’s ‘Hell of A Week’, she said: “I want everybody. I want as many people who want to have some fun, because I really, desperately need to have some fun.”
Jenifer Lewis, who starred as Michelle in the 1992 original ‘Sister Act’ film, previously revealed she encouraged Whoopi to use her own singing voice in the movie.
She said on ‘The View’: “They were going to use my voice and I told Whoopi, ‘Look, you just get in this mirror with the two of us, and you just get a hairbrush and pretend that we’re 15 years old singing Gladys Knight and the Pips.’ and Whoopi did it, she sang her little booty off.”
The original motion picture saw Goldberg’s character, lounge singer Van Cartier, forced to join a convent after being placed in a witness protection programme.

‘It’s a dream come true!’ Sam Thompson joins Disney movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson has joined the cast of ‘Inside Out 2’.
The 31-year-old reality TV star is to voice Security Man Sam, a character who finds himself on a chase with everyone’s favourite emotions, in the forthcoming Disney and Pixar film.
Thompson said: “Having watched Pixar films since I was a kid, it’s a dream come true to join the voice cast of ‘Inside Out 2’.
“The film nods to the rollercoaster of emotions growing up and what a wild ride your teenage years can be.
“I for one can’t wait to see my family’s reaction to hearing my voice on the big screen.”
The movie tells the story of teenager Riley, and the emotions she has are all characters, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, which know her “inside and out”.
‘Inside Out 2’ will see the introduction of a new emotion – Anxiety.
Former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Thompson will appear alongside Maya Hawke, who lends her voice to Anxiety, and Amy Poehler, who returns as the voice of Joy.
Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith and Ayo Edebiri are also part of the voice cast.
Kensington Tallman plays 13-year-old Riley, after replacing Kaitlyn Dias from the first film, 2015’s ‘Inside Out’.
Director Kelsey Mann recently said: “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat.
“That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”
Disney and Pixar’s ‘Inside Out 2’ will release only in cinemas on 14th June, 2024.

Britain’s Got Talent bosses ‘nearing 100m deal which could see show extended to 3-month series’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ bosses are said to be nearing a new £100 million deal which would see the show extended to three months next year.
The ITV talent show – which features judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli – tends to run for seven weeks from mid-April to early June, but ‘BGT’ producers are said to be in talks with ITV about expanding the series to a three-month run, from February to May.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: “‘BGT’ has been on since 2007 and viewing numbers are higher than ever – it’s just fans are watching it differently.
“Having over seven million viewers makes it the most watched entertainment show after ‘I’m A Celebrity’.
“Stretching BGT over three months could make it even more of a presence.”
It is thought a three-month run of ‘BGT’ would feature around six Saturdays of audition episodes, six Saturdays of semi-finals and a final.
Britain’s Got Talent’s online advertising is said to have become a big draw, with the show’s YouTube channel boasting more than 20 million subscribers.
The insider added: “Online is where advertisers are now pumping in their money, but to get the clips they need the show.
“So BGT’s creators have the upper hand as they strike a new deal.”
‘BGT’ wannabe Sydnie Christmas’ audition has been viewed 54 million times on YouTube in just six weeks.
The show’s current five-year deal is due to expire in 2025, but the ‘BGT’ hierarchy are thought to be in discussions with ITV about a new three or five-year contract.
This year’s final auditions episodes take place on Saturday (25.05.24) and Sunday (26.05.24), before the semi-finals air all next week, and the final takes place on June 2nd.

TOWIE star Gemma Collins had stalkers who ‘wanted to kill her’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has received death threats from “scary people” who used to regularly turn up at her shop.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ alum, 43, revealed she stepped away from her front-of-house work at her Gemma Collins Boutique in Brentwood, Essex, after some “weird” people showed up.
During an appearance on the ‘Everything I Know About Me’ podcast, she said: “You know, people would wish me dead. I’d get all sorts turn up at the shop. Weird. People are weird. And that’s why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.”
Gemma recalled she also received a menacing letter in which the writer said they “wanted to kill [her]”.
She explained: “No one would believe the b***** crap I’ve had to deal with.
“I’ve had a woman stalker that wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me.”
The TV star revealed she contacted the police about some of the incidents, though conceded she didn’t feel truly safe until she increased her personal security.
As well as her safety struggles, Gemma recently opened up about the mental toll her appearance and exit from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ took on her.
The reality star felt like she “wanted to die” after leaving the jungle in 2014, because she was met with horrible comments about her appearance.
She told the MailOnline’s podcast: “All the embarrassment of like, you know what the TV programmes were saying, ‘Gemma Collins left the jungle, she was hungry, she was this’, and it wasn’t my fault.
“I can remember laying in my flat where I lived and just thinking, ‘I just want to die.’
“I haven’t done nothing wrong. I’ve left the jungle because of something that happened to me.
“No one was even honest about what happened to me, so I had to walk around with this shame that I’d something wrong.”

Olivia Attwood Dack ‘to host new ITV dating show’

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood Dack has landed a job as the host of a new ITV show.
The 33-year-old TV star, who shot to fame after appearing in the third series of ‘Love Island’ in 2017, has confirmed she will be presenting an as-yet untitled programme on the channel, which is rumoured to be a dating series.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Loose Women’ panellist shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her at work in Greece, and added the caption: “Guys …….. i have been keeping a secret. BTS from my brand new @itv reality show … you’re not ready (I don’t actually think I am) (sic).”
The series will apparently follow a group of couples who are having relationship difficulties due to the bad behaviour of men, while Olivia attempts to change them for the better.
In November 2023, it was reported the TV personality had been offered a six-figure salary to host the show.
An industry insider told the MailOnline: “Olivia is over the moon, she could have never predicted after starring on ‘Love Island’ as a contestant to one day be presenting her own dating series.
“She is working with a full ensemble cast and filming has already started in Greece, she is loving every second of it so far.
“It’s a dream come true for her, and she can’t wait for viewers to fall in love with the format and hopefully enjoy watching the show as much as she has shooting it.”
Last August, Olivia joined ‘Loose Women’ as the programme’s new panellist after making several guest appearances on the show, but admitted she felt like the job offer “was a joke”.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “It wasn’t something that was on the mood board. It all happened really organically.
“I was a guest on the show a couple of times, and I always loved it when I was.
“I joked to my agent saying, ’Imagine me as a Loose Woman’, and she said she really could. Then one of the show’s bosses got in touch and we went out for lunch, she asked me how I would feel about trying it out, and I said, ‘Oh my God, are you serious?’ I almost thought it was a joke.”

Ex-England football captain John Terry ‘in talks for tell-all TV documentary’

OHMYGOSSIP — Former England captain John Terry is in talks for a tell-all TV documentary about his life.
The ex-Chelsea defender is said to have received “multiple offers” about putting his life on the small screen, like fellow former Three Lions skippers David Beckham and Wayne Rooney.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “John is one of football’s most recognisable and popular figures.
“He has had multiple offers to make a series like Beckham and Rooney and is mulling them over.
“It’s a big decision to lay your life open to the public.”
It is thought the documentary will be a “hit”, partly because of former Aston Villa star John’s chemistry with his wife of 17 years, Toni Terry.
The source added: “She and JT have incredible chemistry, which they think viewers will love.
“Given John’s popularity at Chelsea and Aston Villa, as well as England, production companies know a documentary or series would be a hit.”
John captained Chelsea to five Premier League titles and five FA Cup wins.
He also won the Champions League and Europa League with the Blues, as well as three League Cups.
Off the pitch, John was accused of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand – the brother of former England star Rio Ferdinand – in 2011, but he was found not guilty by Westminster magistrates.
However, following a hearing, he was fined £220,000 by the Football Association and received a four-match ban.
Talk of a film about John’s life comes after David and Wayne’s respective documentaries ‘Beckham’ and ‘Rooney’ were, this week, placed on the National Television Awards long list for the Authored Documentary prize.

The Fortune Hotel crowns first-ever champions as winners take home 210k

OHMYGOSSIP — Jo-Anne and Will were crowned the first-ever winners of ‘The Fortune Hotel’ on Thursday night (23.05.24), taking home £210,000.
The mother, 55, and son, 20, duo beat off competition from best pals Jae and Cherish and married couple Aysha and Samm to end up with £200,000 in their briefcase, which was added to the £10,000 they won earlier in the series.
Jae and Cherish took home £30,000 between them after banking the cash earlier in the series, but Aysha and Samm were set to leave with nothing – until an incredible gesture from Jo-Anne and Will.
Will told the pair: “We want to give you five grand out of ours, so you can do what you want to do with your kids.
“You deserve it just as much as the rest of us.”
Samm told the pair: “Thank you so much.”
Aysha replied: “God bless you.”
Samm later admitted it was “amazing” to see Jo-Anne and Will scoop the money, while Jae praised Jo-Anne, who was diagnosed with skin cancer nine years ago.
She said: “I’m very, very happy for Will and Jo-Anne, because they don’t build people like Jo-Anne anymore. They don’t. That woman is a fighter. She is supposed to be here.”
Cherish added: “She’s an inspiring person, and she loves her son. We can see the love and the light in them.”
Hosted by Stephen Mangan, the series – which was filmed at a hotel in the Caribbean – began with 10 pairings each given a briefcase.
In one of the cases there was £250,000, in another there was the dreaded Early Checkout card – with the holders at the end of each night going home – and the other eight cases were empty.
Throughout the series, some pairings managed to bank £10,000 for being the Fortune Holders – the ones with the money in their case – at the end of an episode, but the main aim of the game was to end it with the cash in their case, which Jo-Anne and Will did.
Earlier this week, it was reported ITV are already planning to bring the show back for a second run.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Launching new formats is a gamble these days and an uncommonly large number have fallen by the wayside despite them showing some promise.
“Channel 4 poured huge budgets into reality shows ‘Scared Of The Dark’ and ‘Rise And Fall’, for example, but couldn’t justify taking them to a second series.
“That won’t be the case for ‘The Fortune Hotel’, though. Despite a considerable spend, ITV is working on plans for round two.”

BAFTA-winning actor up for Strictly stint and wants judge to come out of retirement to partner him

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic West would “love” to take part in this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 54-year-old actor has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the BBC Latin and ballroom show’s bosses, admitting he would be up for taking to the dancefloor and has some dance experience from 2014 movie ‘Pride’.
When quizzed by ‘This Morning’ hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary whether he would take part in the show, he said: “I would love to, yeah I would do it. Did you see ‘Pride’? I did a two-minute dance.”
Asked why ‘Strictly’ bosses haven’t asked him to appear in the show, he said: “I don’t know, maybe they didn’t like that [this dancing in ‘Pride’].”
Dominic would love pro dancer-turned-show judge Anton Du Beke to come out of retirement to partner him on the programme.
Asked who he wants as his pro partner, he said: “I don’t know … Anton?”
Dermot suggested: “Get him out of retirement!”
Several stars have been linked to this year’s ‘Strictly’, including professional boxer Tommy Fury and pop star Will Young, who took part in the show in 2016, but he pulled out “for personal reasons”.
Last month, Will said withdrawing from ‘Strictly’ was the “hardest point” of his career, because he was “in the middle of a protracted breakdown” and experiencing PTSD at the time.
The ‘Jealously’ hitmaker said on the ‘How To Fail with Elizabeth Day’ podcast: “I wish I had experienced it when I wasn’t ill because I would’ve loved it.
“I love dancing, I trained in ballet and contemporary.
“I was actually really excited about doing the show but just leaving the house going 20 yards to the corner shop was hard.
“I was in the middle of a protracted breakdown and PTSD, and I learned very quickly I wasn’t able to do this.
“It was a heightened agoraphobia. Imagine having panic attacks 24 hours a day. I don’t know how I managed it, to be honest.
“I don’t see it as a failure, but I see it as probably the hardest point of my career.”
According to Gambling.com, Tommy is the 4/6 favourite to swap boxing for the ballroom this year, while Will is Evens to take part in the programme, and darts legend Phil Taylor is 11/8.

Steven Spielberg’s next film to be released in 2026

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Spielberg’s next movie will be released in 2026.
The legendary director is to helm a “new original event film” that is being backed by Universal Pictures and is scheduled for release on May 15, 2026.
It is not clear what the picture will be about although it was previously reported that Spielberg was crafting a UFO story.
David Koepp – who has worked with Spielberg previously on movies including ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ – is writing the script while Kristie Macosko Krieger will produce the film.
Spielberg’s most recent flick was 2022’s ‘The Fabelmans’ – which was loosely based on his childhood and early years behind the camera – and explained that the “fear” he felt during the coronavirus pandemic inspired him to make the personal movie.
The 77-year-old filmmaker said: “The fear I felt about the pandemic gave me the courage to tell my personal story.
“(It made me ask) if there was one movie I hadn’t made yet that I would now have time to make, what would that be?
“I always wanted to tell the story about my mother and my father, my sisters, and this amazing struggle between art and family.
“It’s come out in all my films. All my films are really personal, and many of them are about family. But nothing that is so specific to my experiences as ‘The Fabelmans’.”
The ‘Jaws’ helmer described how he was in the unfamiliar position of being uncertain what he was going to work on next after ‘The Fabelmans’ had been released.
Spielberg said last year: “I don’t know what I’m going to do next. I have no idea.
“And it’s kind of a nice feeling, and it’s also a horrible feeling. It’s nice that I can actually have control of my life again and make my own choices. But I need to work and I love to work.”

Jason Schwartzman and Eva Longoria join Christmas comedy Oh. What. Fun.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Schwartzman and Eva Longoria are to star in the festive comedy ‘Oh. What. Fun.’
The pair have joined Michelle Pfeiffer in the Christmas flick that is being directed by Michael Showalter.
Joan Chen, Devery Jacobs, Havana Rose Liu and Maude Apatow have also been added to the cast – with Danielle Brooks appearing in a cameo role – of the picture that is shooting in Atlanta.
The film is described as a love letter to mothers and a cross between ‘Home for the Holidays’ and ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’.
It focuses on a woman called Claire Clauster (Pfeiffer) who organises a special Christmas outing but is forgotten by her family in the shuffle.
By the time they have realised their error, she has gone missing and their festive celebrations are in jeopardy. Thankfully, nothing is going to stop Claire giving her family the holiday they deserve.
Denis Leary is to play Claire’s husband while Felicity Jones, Chloe Grace Moretz and Dominic Sessa will be starring as the couple’s children.
Details about the parts the newly announced actors will be taking on are yet to be revealed.
The script is based on a short story by Chandler Baker, who has adapted it for the big screen alongside Showalter.
Schwartzman has frequently collaborated with Wes Anderson during his movie career and thinks he has been fortunate to have such a long-standing relationship with the esteemed director.
The 43-year-old star said: “That’s what I love about working with him, is you learn about him through the work and there’s no one who does it like him.
“He’s always pushing it someplace new. I’m envious of him and I’m happy to be a part of this.”

‘It’s changed me how I was’: Lloyd Griffith received ‘a lot of abuse’ during Soccer AM stint

OHMYGOSSIP — Comedian Lloyd Griffith used to receive “a lot of abuse” when he appeared on ‘Soccer AM’.
The 40-year-old TV presenter and actor has admitted he “really loved” taking part in the programme, but the online abuse he used to receive “really affected” him and has “changed” how he was.
He told the ‘RHLSTP’ podcast: “I was on ‘Soccer AM’ on Sky Sports every Saturday morning, which I really loved, but I did get a lot of abuse and it did affect me.
“Not to get too deep, but it’s changed me how I was.
“The amount of s*** I used to get on a Saturday morning, and a Sunday morning, when the repeats were, was horrific and I hated it.”
Lloyd admitted he once “cried [his] eyes out” when he received a particularly horrific tweet.
He said: “But I loved the show and I loved the people who were really nice about it.
“But there is this horrible cluster of football fans that are very opinionated and will just say anything. It doesn’t matter.
“The day I got it I still remember one of the tweets I got said, ‘I’d rather send my children on holiday with the McCanns than watch this fat p**** for two hours.’ I cried my eyes out when I read that.
“But then an opportunity came up for another job and it was a big job.”
He has gone on to star in Apple TV+ show ‘Ted Lasso’, as a reporter called Lloyd.
The star recently said of the programme: “As a step into filming, it was just the perfect job.
“It’s a heartfelt, warm show and that’s exactly what it was like.”

Ex-Blue Peter presenters Anthea Turner and Janet Ellis vow to ‘save’ children’s show

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthea Turner and Janet Ellis have vowed to “save” ‘Blue Peter’.
The former children’s TV presenters have voiced their concerns over the BBC’s plans to experiment with the show’s format, including potential plans to pre-record the show instead of broadcasting it live.
Anthea, 63, who presented the series from 1992 to 1994, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We’ve got all the credentials, we’ve got our badges – of course we’d go back.”
Janet, 68 – who fronted the programme from 1983 until 1987 – added: “We could save ‘Blue Peter’.”
Anthea admitted it would be “a shame” if the show was pre-recorded, because the programme would not be able to offer viewers and presenters “that edge” live broadcasts have.
She said: “It will be a shame if it’s not live. ‘Blue Peter’ needs presenters who can work live.
“It needs that edge – live will always give you that edge.”
Janet joked her five grandchildren – her pop star daughter Sophie-Ellis Bextor’s kids Sonny, 20, Kit, 14, Ray, 12, Jesse, eight and Micky, five – refused to believe she ever hosted the programme due to her age.
She laughed: “My grandsons don’t believe I was on it.
“They can’t believe I ever did it, because they think, ‘Why would they let old people on?’”
While the BBC are “open” to changing the format of ‘Blue Peter’, the network insisted there are “categorically” no plans to cancel the show, which has been running since 1958.
In a statement made in October 2023, a spokesperson said: “The future for ‘Blue Peter’ is bright.
“‘Blue Peter’ still inspires children, as seen with the popularity of the new ‘Blue Peter’ book badge launched last month, and it continues to be a much-loved part of the CBBC line up, celebrating its 65th birthday just this week.”

Gemma Collins claims reality show with James Argent was cancelled as he was ‘very unwell’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins was previously due to star in a joint reality show with her ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent, but it was canned after he failed to turn up for filming.
The 43-year-old reality star dated her fellow ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ alum, 36, briefly in 2012, before they got back together five years later, only for the couple to split for good in 2019.
Now, Gemma has claimed she and James were signed up to front their own reality programme, but it was ultimately shelved as he was battling addiction at the time.
During an appearance on the ‘Everything I Know About Me’ podcast, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star recalled bursting into tears after James didn’t show up to film the show, but has emphasised it “wasn’t his fault” because he was “very unwell”.
Previously, Gemma admitted she “felt suicidal” once her relationship with James broke down, and added their romance turned “very sour” when “drugs changed him as a person”.
Speaking on ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’, she said: “For anyone who ever thinks about taking drugs, or just trying it for one night, you can end up getting addicted.
“I was really happy with James. We did get on, but the drugs changed him as a person. I fought every day for three years to get him well.
“I have felt suicidal … I think when my relationship broke down with Arg, that affected me. I just thought, ‘I don’t wanna be here anymore. I can’t take it.’
“Christmas was an all-time low. I saved his life three times, I had this insatiable love for him – I never wanted to give up on him.
“It was hard, there was a lot of love there – the relationship turned very, very sour because of the drugs.”
Before his relationship with Gemma ended, James was rushed to hospital twice in 2019 after friends and family feared he had overdosed.
Despite his substance hardships, the ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ contestant insisted he has now turned his life around and has been sober “for years”.
He told GB News: “I battled with that for a number of years. But I’ve got through it and I’m doing alright. I’m doing well. I’m clean, sober, and I have been for a long time now.”

‘I’m shameless’: Daisy Ridley asked Jerry Bruckheimer for Pirates of the Caribbean part

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley has asked Jerry Bruckheimer for a role in the female-led ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film.
The 32-year-old star worked with the hugely successful producer on her latest film ‘Young Woman and the Sea’ and put in a “shameless” request for a part in the female-centric flick that Margot Robbie is set to feature in.
Daisy told The Times newspaper: “Oh, I had a word. I’m shameless. People think I’m one tool short of the box, but I was like, ‘Please give me a ‘Pirates’ job!'”
Meanwhile, the actress is reprising her role as Rey in the upcoming film ‘Star Wars: New Jedi Order’ and is looking forward to recapturing the “joy” she felt when working on the sequel trilogy of the famous sci-fi franchise.
Daisy said: “I can only say what my personal feeling of those films is. And it is joy. My twenties were filled with this amazing thing, which is why I’m going back.”
Rey’s backstory was changed during the course of the trilogy – much to the anger of the fans – but she explained that she was merely “submitting herself” to the whims of the director.
She explained: “I would say, that my feelings are slightly beside the point. And I never want to invalidate someone else’s feelings.
“That was changed, I think. But I don’t know. That’s the thing. As an actor, you submit yourself to the vision of someone else – I’m generally saying to the director that I trust them.”
Daisy has now realised that her work isn’t going to impress everyone and is “comfortable” with that fact.
The ‘Magpie’ star said: “And I’ve become more comfortable knowing everything is not for everyone. I mean, it’s obviously nice when people like it, but knowing that does not make things easier.”

Christopher Nolan has had to adapt films to the ‘shifting sands of culture’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Nolan has constantly had to adapt as a filmmaker.
The 53-year-old director has helmed successful blockbusters including ‘Inception’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ but explained that he has never worked on any of the ideas he had growing up because of the ever-changing nature of the movie industry.
In an interview with Empire magazine, Nolan said: “As a young man, I had a list of, however many I’d worked out, 12 or 13 films… I had a lot of ideas and a lot of very specific things that I was going to do. And I look back and I haven’t done any of them; they all changed.
“When you plan ahead too far in the movie business, you’re not taking into account the shifting sands of culture under your feet… (Cinema) evolves. And part of your job as a filmmaker is to be open to being part of that evolution.”
However, Nolan insists that he is grateful to have been able to change his plans.
The filmmaker said: “That’s been tremendous fun. It would have been very boring to have done things exactly the way I thought I was going to do them.”
Nolan has helmed some huge projects as a result of his reputation as a director but explained that he does his best to maintain an intimate style of working – which was showcased on the epic ‘Oppenheimer’.
The ‘Dark Knight’ helmer explained: “Over the years we’ve found ways to work with people who understand that we want to use that machine in a very nimble way.
“‘Oppenheimer’ was one of the best experiences we had like that, because we made that film very, very quickly. It had a very large cast, a lot of ambition, but we really powered through and did it in a really spontaneous manner.”

Daniel Craig to return for ‘Knives Out 3’

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Craig will return for ‘Knives Out 3’.
Director Rian Johnson took to X to confirm that Craig will reprise his role as Benoit Blanc in the upcoming Netflix movie and he also revealed the movie’s title will be ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’.
He posted: “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
“We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going.
“The next Benoit Blanc mystery, the follow-up to ‘Knives Out’ and ‘Glass Onion’, is called ‘Wake Up Dead Man’.”
And, Netflix shared the news on its Tudum site, stating: “That’s right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson. Blanc will be unraveling a brand-new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new cast of suspects.”
The first ‘Knives Out’ movie was released in 2019, when Craig’s private detective Blanc was hired to investigate the death of best-selling author Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). He joined forces with nurse Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas) to uncover the truth.
And in 2022’s ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’, he was in Greece investigating tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton).
