Strictly bosses want The Traitors star for new season

OHMYGOSSIP — BBC bosses are hoping to cast a ‘The Traitors’ contestant in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Bosses at the network are said to be keen to capitalise on the popularity of the show, hosted by ‘Strictly’ presenter Claudia Winkleman and they are debating between runner-up Mollie Pearce and the winner Harry Clark.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “‘Strictly’ is still four months away and there’s still so much to play for, but ‘The Traitors’ are obviously at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
“It would also be a nice tie-in given both shows are hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
“Mollie’s presence would also be a hugely positive moment of representation for people, like her, who have a disability.
“But, just as with ‘The Traitors’, she first has to fend off the competition from rivals Paul [Gorton] and Harry.”
A ‘Strictly’ spokesperson said: “We do not comment on speculation.”
Other celebrities in line for the new season of ‘Strictly’ include Olympic cyclist Laura Kenny, Gladiators’ Nitro, boxer and ‘Love Island’ star Tommy Fury and ‘Bank of Dave’s Dave Fishwick.
Meanwhile, Dominic West has revealed he would “love” to take part in this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 54-year-old actor issued a come-and-get-me plea to the BBC Latin and ballroom show’s bosses, admitting he would be up for taking to the dancefloor and has some dance experience from 2014 movie ‘Pride’.
When quizzed by ‘This Morning’ hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary whether he would take part in the show, he said: “I would love to, yeah I would do it. Did you see ‘Pride’? I did a two-minute dance.”
Asked why ‘Strictly’ bosses haven’t asked him to appear in the show, he said: “I don’t know, maybe they didn’t like that [this dancing in ‘Pride’].”
Dominic would love pro dancer-turned-show judge Anton Du Beke to come out of retirement to partner him on the programme.
Asked who he wants as his pro partner, he said: “I don’t know … Anton?”
Dermot suggested: “Get him out of retirement!”

Katie Piper planning on more facial surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Piper is planning on having more facial surgery.
16 years after suffering a horrifying acid attack orchestrated by her abusive ex-boyfriend, Katie – who has had over 400 surgeries – will undergo more operations to deal with scar tissue from the burns on her face.
Katie told OK!: “[The injuries are] all connected with my ears, nose and throat, as well as my eyes. It’s a cliché, but I always meet people who are worse off than me. It’s not something I feel bad about because I have lived with this for over 15 years, and I am very lucky and grateful to the NHS for all the incredible treatments I have endured.
“You have to be resilient and robust in life, and that’s what I try to teach my kids. I like to think of myself as always remaining tough, simply because there will always be bad things out there and we have to learn to deal with them.”
And, the star admitted it is hard to forget what happened to her.
She said: “In my personal life at home, and with my children I am just being a wife and a mum. I don’t ever think about the fact I am scarred. At work, in my foundation, I do feel different. I am constantly reminded of what happened to me because I am dealing with people who have suffered the same fate. My burns, my scarring, is part of who I am, I realise that. So, I try to be at peace with it, so it doesn’t dominate my life.”
Katie has been happily married to Richard Sutton since 2015, and the couple have two daughters, Belle, 10, and six-year-old Penelope.

Daryl McCormack cast in Knives Out 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Daryl McCormack has been cast in ‘Knives Out 3’.
The ‘Good Luck To You, Leo Grande’ star has been added to the cast for the upcoming Netflix movie ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’, which will see Daniel Craig reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc.
McCormack will join Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner and Mila Kunis in the ensemble cast.
Rian Johnson will return to write and direct the movie, which will go into production this summer and is set for release in 2025.
Plot details on the film remain a secret but Rian recently gave fans a teaser of what to expect in a social media post.
The ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ director wrote on X: “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
“We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going. (sic)”
Netflix acquired the rights to the second and third ‘Knives Out’ films in a $450 million deal in 2021 but Johnson has claimed that even more movies could be made as long he and Craig remain interested in the franchise.
He told Total Film magazine: “As long as the two of us are still having fun, and as long as we can continue to make these truly new experiences each time, and find new ways to challenge ourselves.
“The second we feel like we’re repeating ourselves, or just turning a crank on a machine, we’ll stop. Because to me, the whole conception of this whole series is the same way Agatha Christie did it with her books – we’re doing something new and surprising every time.”

Robert De Niro used own life experience as inspiration for new movie Ezra

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert De Niro and writer Tony Spiridakis used their own experiences of raising neurodivergent children for new movie ‘Ezra’.
The film tells the story of stand-up comedian Max Bernal (Bobby Cannavale), who lives with his father (De Niro) and faces challenges when it comes to co-parenting his autistic son (William A. Fitzgerald) with his ex-wife (Rose Byrne).
Tony told Variety: “I didn’t know anything about autism, I thought I gotta write this down. Because of the lack of understanding that I had, I kept thinking, every day was a surprise.
“I made so many mistakes as a father, I wanted to show warts and all — the mistakes of being a father of an autistic child because I held on tight, I loved my son, and my son showed me with his wonderful spirit a way out of it, and that was a beautiful thing. So I thought it would make a good movie to see a father be that wrong.”
Robert added: “I had certain things about it that I thought should be addressed. Everybody is well-intentioned, coming from a real place. It was done with a lot of love and a lot of hard work.”
Director Tony Goldwyn said he took on the project because Spiridakis is his “best friend in the world”.
He added: “This is a story about destigmatising autism and disabilities in general. More so, it’s about celebrating the fact that what makes us powerful is our uniqueness and our differentness.”

Anya Taylor-Joy found ballet helpful for Furiosa

OHMYGOSSIP — Anya Taylor-Joy found ballet lessons to be “handy” for her action scenes in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’.
The ‘Menu’ star has revealed that her classical dance training – which ended when she was 16 years old – proved to be very useful for her role in the George Miller-directed movie because of the choreography and “discipline” required.
The 28-year-old actress told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “Ballet definitely comes in handy. The training and discipline is not unlike having to consistently hit your mark for these big action scenes. The choreography is similar – you just don’t have to wear pointed shoes.”
Charlize Theron played Furiosa in the 2015 film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, and Anya appreciated having the support of the Oscar-winning star.
She shared: “[Charlize] was so helpful, so supportive and very cool with everything I was doing. I felt very lucky to have that support.”
On the other hand, Anya was frustrated that she didn’t get to shave her head for her role in the new movie.
The actress explained: “I was excited to. I actually had been looking for a role that would allow me to do it. But then I met with George and he didn’t want me to do it.
“We had a whole discussion about it, but George explained why the hair had to stay – because Furiosa is stolen from her home and there is an element of her that thinks by keeping her hair, she will be able to somehow still go back home as the same girl she was.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Queen’s Gambit’ star has also enthused about working with Chris Hemsworth on ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’.
Anya said: “I loved working with Chris. We had never even met before this but we really hit it off right away. We had so much fun together.”

Louise Thompson paid just 25 a day for Made In Chelsea

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Thompson has claimed she was paid £25 a day for ‘Made In Chelsea’.
The 34-year-old star first appeared on the show in 2011 and went on to appear over nine seasons as the ups and downs of her relationship with co-star Spencer Matthews played out but Lucy now believes it was a waste of her education.
Speaking on Elizabeth Day’s ‘How To Fail’ podcast, she said: “I came to London and it was a funny old time for me because I was trying to be a serious student up in Edinburgh and had cool friends up there.
“They’re all a bit more academic and studious and then I was going to film on ‘Made in Chelsea’ where we were just filming in nightclubs and driving fast cars – that kind of thing.”
After initially starting on just £25 a day, she received a modest pay increase for the second season.
She said: “Then it went up to £50 after one series, and then after a while I was paid £200 a day and that was capped at that – that was the absolute max.”
Meanwhile, Louise recently revealed she will “never be mentally strong enough” to carry another child, following the traumatic birth of her two-year-old son Leo.
Louise has told how she watched herself almost “bleed to death” while she underwent an emergency C-section in November 2021, and she believes being awake during the operation “definitely contributed” to the development of PTSD.
Louise said she won’t ever fall pregnant naturally again, but it is possible she could freeze some eggs one day.
Asked if she will ever be able to have kids again, she said on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’: “It’s still fairly inconclusive. I will never mentally be strong enough to carry a child and physically I have something called Asherman syndrome, where my uterus is glued together with scar tissue.
“I suppose in one sense it’s a bit of a miracle that I didn’t have to have a hysterectomy, so I do still have a womb.
“I had a year with no periods, then I had a surgery to try and fix that and then that ended up in another haemorrhage, so where I am left currently is that the hospital have sort of said, ‘It would be too threatening. We wouldn’t want to do another surgery in that area. Let’s let you live.’
“Equally, I am so grateful to have one beautiful, healthy child who has lots of friends and cousins.
“I do have ovaries and embryos so there is a chance I could freeze some eggs … when I am ready.”

Chris McCausland is reportedly set to become the first blind contestant on ‘Strictly’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has reportedly bagged its first-ever blind contestant in comedian Chris McCausland.
The BBC One Latin and ballroom show has already had a deaf star in EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who lifted the Glitterball Trophy in 2021, alongside Giovanni Pernice, and now it’s been claimed the 46-year-old CBeebies star is among the stars set to hit the dance floor later this year.
Chris lost his sight when he was 22 after he was diagnosed with the genetic condition retinitis pigmentosa, which is inherited from parents.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Strictly Come Dancing bosses are delighted by the signing and think Chris will be great on the show. He has a hilarious sense of humour and an infectious personality.
“Producers are really keen to showcase disability on TV and are conscious of how important it is. Chris loves working and doing TV so it’s the perfect project. Chris has spoken openly of his sight issues and is determined to show it won’t hold him back on the ballroom dance floor.”
The insider said of the ‘Scared of the Dark’ star’s aspirations: “He’s been gigging non-stop for decades so is a real pro at performing in front of crowds. He is up for the challenge of learning how to dance and is prepared to put in hard work and long hours in training.
“He’s also hoping to have a lot of fun and raise his profile, like a lot of celebs taking part on Strictly.
“The pro dancers will all want to be partnered with him to embrace a new challenge and a show first.”
The Liverpudlian – who has a young child with his wife Sophie – previously admitted being embarrassed by his blindness.
He said: “When it started happening it was scary and embarrassing.
“I got myself into bad situations because I didn’t want to ask for help. I will never be on a level playing field with everyone else.”

Most Flatulent: Yvette Fielding reveals she mistook farts for ghosts on Most Haunted

OHMYGOSSIP — Yvette Fielding mistook farts for ghosts on ‘Most Haunted’.
The 55-year-old creator and presenter of the paranormal series has released a memoir “charting her path from child TV star to becoming the queen of the supernatural, dedicated to searching for answers to the unexplained.”
And in her new tome, titled ‘Scream Queen’, she confessed to being spooked by a colleague’s trump.
She spilled: “Things sometimes go wrong.
“We’ve got so many outtakes of a member of the team accidentally breaking wind, me thinking it’s a ghost and then screaming down the place.
“I love all that. It goes to the core of what Most Haunted is about.”
The former ‘Blue Peter’ star revealed she and the team always used to pull pranks on one another.
She shared: “Viewers might be forgiven for thinking because we contact dead people, some of whom suffered horrific pain and sadness, that there isn’t much fun to be had.
“The opposite is true.
“We’re always giggling and playing pranks.
“Occasionally, I’ve had to be the sensible one if the others muck about, especially on live shows.
“Just before we went on air and walked on stage, the boys would start throwing water at each other’s crotches, so it looked like they’d wet themselves. They’d be in hysterics, but I’d become a bit school marmish. ‘Come on,’ I’d say. What are you lot doing?'”

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge – who also has Lexi, 18, with her husband Chris Hughes – was joined by her youngest girl on the ITV talent show recently where she assisted in pressing her Golden Buzzer with Simon Cowell’s 10-year-old son Eric.
And now a source has spilled that Amanda, 53, has big plans for Hollie to have a career in showbiz, and would love both her girls to follow her into the entertainment industry.
An insider told OK! Magazine: “Amanda has big plans for both her girls and is keen for them to follow in her footsteps and have a career in showbiz. Lexi is already doing well with her modelling but it’s Hollie who Amanda thinks is going to be a big star.”
They added: “Hollie is very interested in her mum’s career and loves going along to things like Britain’s Got Talent and has been begging Amanda to let her get involved for years. Although it was a spontaneous thing with her and Eric pressing the golden buzzer, Amanda knew it was only a matter of time before it happened.”
Meanwhile, Amanda recently defended her teen daughter posting bikini pictures to social media.
The TV star stressed she is an advocate of “body positivity” and doesn’t mind seeing her eldest post images of herself in swimwear.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: “Lexi did speak to me and her dad about this.
“She is 18 years old now, so I feel like she’s confident and we have always encouraged body positivity in our house.
“I feel like if she’s ready to do that then we’re all for it. She knows what could happen from doing it, but I think she should be able to do what she wants, when she wants, and at 18 that’s the correct time to do it.
“I wouldn’t have encouraged it before, she posted a photo last year in a bikini when she was 17 but again, that’s her choice. We are happy if she is happy.”

Maya Jama: ‘Love Island really works’

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama insists ‘Love Island’ “really works”.
The host of the ITV2 dating show says that despite there being several breakups following the seasons, there have been many success stories with couples going onto to get married, engaged or start a family together.
Maya is quoted by The Sunday Express as saying: “Kai and Sanam recently got engaged and they were the winners of my first ever series [four years ago]. I got to watch their love story blossom and it’s proof that Love Island really works.”
The presenter believes that the scorching sunshine and the relaxing vibe of the South African villa boosts the chance of contestants falling in love.
The 29-year-old beauty continued: “We all experience extra bursts of love when we are in the sun, when we are relaxed and in a nice environment. Everyone is feeling sexy in their bikinis, so I think it’s the perfect formula to find a connection.”
Molly-Mae Hague, 25, and Tommy Fury, also 25, and Olivia, 30, and Alex Bowen, 32, are examples of couples who met on the show and have stayed together and had children.
Maya’s claim that ‘Love Island’ is the real deal comes after Tommy admitted he is “in no rush” to marry Molly-Mae.
The boxer proposed to his influencer partner last summer, months after they welcomed their daughter Bambi into the world in January 2023, but he’s adamant the couple aren’t busy planning their wedding.
He told Closer magazine: “We’re not putting pressure on it. We’re enjoying being engaged and enjoying that period of our life, so we’re in no rush.”
He also shut down any speculation about whether they will be having another child, adding: “I don’t know. You can’t plan things like that. It just happens, doesn’t it?”
The couple, who met on ‘Love Island’ five years ago, became engaged in July 2023 when Tommy staged a surprise proposal during a trip to Ibiza and presented his love with a £600,000 ring.
Love Island returns on Monday 3rd June at 9pm On ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV And STV Player, and in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Sally Phillips: New Bridget Jones movie could be best yet

OHMYGOSSIP — Sally Phillips has teased ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’ may be the “best yet”.
The 54-year-old actress is set to reprise her role as the titular heroine’s best friend Shazzer in the upcoming fourth film in the franchise, and she’s reassured fans the project won’t just be “a trip down nostalgia lane”.
She told Red magazine: “The script might be the best yet – definitely not just a trip down nostalgia lane.”
Sally feels lucky for her part in the series because she’s always had fun working with James Callis and Shirley Henderson, who play Tom and Jude.
She said: “In those films, the friends always have the best time, because you’ve got people to hang out with.
“There’s a lot of night shoots, when you’re just eating chocolate ‘til four in the morning, then running past in the back of shot.
“James, Shirley and I always laugh ourselves sick. We always feel like we’re in trouble.”
Sally’s comments echo recent remarks made by Hugh Grant, who is set to return as Daniel Cleaver.
Hugh – who didn’t appear in the third film, ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’ – told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’ll tell you what, I think this script for the fourth Bridget is the best one of the four. And, in fact, one of the best scripts I have read for in a long time.”
The film will see Renee Zellweger’s Bridget adjusting to life as a single mother following the death of her husband, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), and Hugh was impressed with the depth of emotion he found in the script.
He said: “It’s based on trying to bring up two children alone, and then [it’s] all mixed up in the Bridget Jones comedy, so it is very sad, as well as very funny.
“It has me in tears.”

Neve Campbell was thrilled to resolve her Scream ‘pay and respect’ issues

OHMYGOSSIP — Neve Campbell is “really grateful” her issues about “pay and respect” in the ‘Scream’ franchise were taken “seriously”.
The 50-year-old actress played serial killer target Sidney in the first 1996 instalment of the series and returned for each of the sequels except the 2023 sixth entry – which she quit in a row over her pay packet – and she has praised the studio for taking the steps to make amends as she prepares to return for the new film.
She told PEOPLE: “Sidney is so strong and has inspired a lot of people.
“I’m really grateful that the studio took my concerns about pay and respect seriously.
“When they approached me for ‘Scream 7,’ I wasn’t sure how things would unfold. But it was encouraging to see that they started off on the right foot.”
Neve hopes other actors won’t have to face what she experienced.
She added: “It’s nice to know that I’ve made a difference in that way.
“And I really hope that other actors get that chance too.”
The ‘Skyscraper’ star announced in March she was coming back to the role by sharing a photo of a script for ‘Scream 7’, which she captioned on Instagram: “I’m so excited to announce this news!!! Sidney Prescott is coming back!!!!”
Neve added: “It’s always been such a blast and an honor to get to play Sidney in the ‘Scream’ movies.
“My appreciation for these films and for what they have meant to me, has never waned.
“I’m very happy and proud to say I’ve been asked, in the most respectful way, to bring Sidney back to the screen and I couldn’t be more thrilled!!! (sic)”
Neve also confirmed Kevin Williamson, 59, who wrote the original 1996 ‘Scream’ film, will direct the upcoming seventh instalment.
Kevin wrote on Instagram: “It’s been nearly 30 years since my very first script, ‘Scream’, was directed by the legendary Wes Craven.
“I never would have predicted what it would become. Or that I would be directing the seventh installment of the franchise.
“I am overcome with gratitude and excitement, and I can’t wait to take this journey with Neve and the entire ‘Scream’ family as we bring back Sidney Prescott in the next chapter of the ‘Scream’ franchise.
“Thank you to all the Scream fans. You are the gift that keeps giving. @nevecampbell See you on set. (sic)”
Neve said at the time she quit ‘Scream 6’ as she “felt the offer” on the table for her return “did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.”
She told People in 2022 about walking away from the film: “I don’t know that I’m done for good.
“It would really depend on what they came to me with next. It would have to be different. It would have to be a different attitude, and I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
“If they came to me with a number that felt right, that felt respectful, that felt in keeping with my value that I brought to the franchise, I’d be willing to consider (coming back.)”

Sydnie Christmas wins Britain’s Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydnie Christmas has won ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 28-year-old singer from Kent scooped a £250,000 cash prize and a slot to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year after triumphing on Sunday’s (02.06.24) season 17 finale.
Speaking after her win, she said: “I cannot believe the amount of love I’ve felt since it aired. It’s absolutely – oh my god. I am overwhelmed with love and I wish for one day that everyone feels the way I do. It’s amazing, thank you so much.”
Although the judges gave their comments after each performance, their opinions didn’t count towards the final standings as it was all down to viewer vote.
However, all four panelists were blown away by Sydnie’s rendition of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.
Amanda Holden said: “I know how long you have waited for this moment, it was utterly spellbinding and perfect in every way. It was just gold dust.”
Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli added: “That is what I call a show-stopping performance, you took my breath away.”
Alesha Dixon said: “You just radiate hope and joy and light – and there was something about that performance and that emotion, I felt it move through my body with you.”
And Simon Cowell commented: “That was really something special. That lyric felt so personal to you about what you must have wanted over the years with a God-given talent like that and for whatever reason you’ve been ignored. I actually felt very emotional.”
A total of 11 acts performed in the final, with magician Jack Rhodes and dance duo Abigail and Afronitaaa taking the runners-up slots ahead of singer Innocent Masuku, SSaulabi Performance Troupe, dancers Haribow, impressionist Mike Woodhams, the Northants Sing Out choir, comic Alex Mitchell, magician Trixy and wildcard entrant The TrickStars.

Katie Price and Peter Andre’s children wants to do I’m A Celeb together

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess and Junior Andre want to follow in the footsteps of their parents Peter Andre and Katie Price by doing ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ together.
‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker Peter, 51, married former glamour model Katie, 46, in 2005, after they met on the 2004 series of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’, and their offspring would love to follow in their footsteps.
Princess, 16, who is making waves as a model, would also like to become a host of ‘Love Island’ in the future.
Speaking in the article that accompanied the siblings’ first joint OK! Magazine photoshoot, she said: “I’d love to be a TV presenter. I’d love to host something like Love Island. I wouldn’t want to take part in the show as a contestant, but I’d love to be as good a host as Maya Jama.”
Junior, 18, meanwhile, is busy with his music career.
But he added: “I’ve said before that we’d love to go and do I’m A Celebrity. It’s where our parents met, so it’s why we’re here in the first place.”
Princess suggested: “We’d have to do it together but that would be fun. I’d be terrified, but that would be so iconic.”
Peter previously said he would let Princess host ‘Love Island’ – but not be a contestant.
The singer – who also has Amelia, 10, Theo, six, and newborn daughter Arabella with wife Emily – previously insisted there is “no chance” his eldest daughter can sign up for the reality show unless one day it’s “based on priests and nuns” delivering sermons.
And while he’s still against the teenager becoming an Islander, the veteran pop star wouldn’t have a problem with her taking over as host.
Peter wrote in his new! magazine column: “Princess has said she wants to do it, but I still haven’t changed my mind about that. Presenting it? Yes. A contestant? Not so sure!”
Back in 2019, Princess asked how he’d feel about her featuring on the series, and he revealed: “She said to me ‘Would you ever let me go on ‘Love Island”, and I said to her ‘When they start doing Love Island based on priests and nuns and they’re having their sermons on Sundays you can go on ‘Love Island’ but until then no chance.’
“I don’t know why I’m saying that, well I know why I’m saying that, and I don’t mean to be strict like that and they get told everything by their friends anyway. So Junior, he’s kind of getting to that stage where he wants to hang out and watch things.”

Ruth Langsford ‘extends TV break’ after Eamonn Holmes split

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has reportedly extended her break from TV following her split from Eamonn Holmes.
The pair – both 64- recently announced they have parted ways after 14 years of marriage and are heading for a divorce, and now a new report suggests Ruth has decided to take an extra week off before returning to her regular slot on ITV chat show ‘Loose Women’.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ruth will not be back on screen this week. She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not yet be making a return to the ‘Loose Women’ panel.”
Ruth has not been seen on TV since the couple’s split was confirmed last month in a statement which read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
News of Ruth’s extended break comes after Eamonn addressed the couple’s split during an appearance on GB News by thanking fans for their well wishes.
He said: “Just before we move on, we’d just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation.
“Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.”
Since the split, the pair are said to be having “difficult conversations” over who gets to keep their beloved dog Maggie.
A source told The Sun: “Maggie is like a daughter to them. They dote on her. But she’s getting on and they know she needs stability.
“It’s a case of who can give her that.”
They are both very fond of their dog, and Eamonn – who underwent spinal surgery in 2022 – would feel heartbroken if he’s forced to give her up because of his health issues.
The insider continued: “The thought of giving her up is heartbreaking to him. But if Ruth is able to get out and about and walk her more, then it may well be that she gets Maggie in the split.”

Michael Keaton looked ‘possessed by a demon’ reprising Beetlejuice role

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Burton says it was like Michael Keaton was “possessed by a demon” when he reprised his role as Beetlejuice.
The 72-year-old Hollywood star is returning to the iconic role for the upcoming sequel to the 1988 horror comedy, ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, and the director and his co-stars found it surreal how he jumped right back into his alter ego like it was yesterday after 36 years.
The ‘Edward Scissorhands’ filmmaker told Empire magazine: “It was like he was possessed by a demon, because he just went right back into it.
Catherine O’Hara (Delia Deetz) said: “It was insane. Insane.”
Jenna Ortega (Astrid Deetz) chimed in: “It was like an animal with a gun had just walked into the room. To watch him physically change and appear and Michael Keaton to be gone, and for me to be dealing with this Beetlejuice guy…It blew my mind.”
The ‘Jack Frost’ star explained how it was important to make sure he was playing the same version of the trickster ghost, which was difficult consider how much “merchandising” there has been of it since.
He explained: “There’s been so much merchandising of it, I had to drop back to where it started.
“I had to go, ‘What was my unusual imagination even thinking about when I was developing it in the first place?’ As opposed to seeing a coffee mug or a golf-club cover [adorned with Betelgeuse’s face].”
It was “off-putting” for him when he came to channel the mischievous spirit again.
Keaton added: “The ubiquity of Beetlejuice as a character in the culture created its own challenges. “
That was f****** weird.
“To be honest with you – I’m being very frank – it was off-putting, to look and go, ‘I don’t want to look like all these little things, f*** that – what was the thing that started this?’”
