Carley Stenson and Danny Mac welcome their second child

OHMYGOSSIP — Carley Stenson and Danny Mac have welcomed their second child together.
The loved-up duo have taken to social media to announce the arrival of their baby, revealing that Carley actually gave birth in April.
The 41-year-old actress – who played Steph Cunningham on ‘Hollyoaks’ between 2000 and 2011 – wrote on Instagram: “Beauie Mac [heart emojis]
“Been in our LOVE bubble since 18/04/24
“We adore you [heart emojis] (sic)”
Carley – who welcomed the couple’s first child, a daughter named Skye, back in 2021 – previously announced her pregnancy news via social media.
The actress took to Instagram earlier this year to share the news with her followers.
Alongside a photo of her growing baby bump, Carley – who has been married to Danny since 2017 – wrote: “We can’t wait to meet you.
“#springnewlife #ourbaby #bigsister #pregnantat41 #inourlittlebubble (sic)”
Prior to that, Carley admitted that motherhood has changed her life.
The soap star posed for steamy calendar photoshoots during her younger years – but Carley insisted she wouldn’t do that these days.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Now I’m a mum, I don’t know about getting any kit off.
“I just think your attitude changes when you are older – and certainly when you’re a mum.”
Despite this, Carley still has fond memories of the photoshoots.
She said: “It was liberating as a woman of 20 or so to feel confident.
“I’ve got those pictures to look back on and enjoy.
“It was always something I did back then knowing that, hopefully one day, I’d be an old granny and would say, ‘Oh, look at me back then’.
“I was young and free-spirited. I felt good about myself. I didn’t really think too much about it. It was just me and my girls getting all dolled up and enjoying ourselves. I was just embracing my youth and my freedom, really.”

Thomas Haden Church joins the cast of Knives Out 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Thomas Haden Church has joined the cast of ‘Knives Out 3’.
The 63-year-old actor is set to star alongside the likes of Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny in the Rian Johnson-directed movie, according to The Wrap.
Thomas is one of a number of new additions to the ‘Knives Out’ franchise, which sees Daniel take on the central role of Benoit Blanc.
The veteran actor is being joined by the likes of Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin, with production work set to begin in the UK in June.
Rian, 50, is writing and directing the project, which is officially titled ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’.
Although plot details remain a closely-guarded secret, Rian recently teased the movie on social media.
The acclaimed filmmaker wrote on X: “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
“We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Netflix has also teased details about the third movie in the ‘Knives Out’ franchise.
The streaming service said on its Tudum site: “That’s right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson. Blanc will be unravelling a brand-new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new cast of suspects.”

Evangeline Lilly ‘steps away’ from acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Evangeline Lilly is “stepping away” from acting.
The 44-year-old star has taken to social media to announce that she’s stepping back from Hollywood, explaining that she’s currently feeling filled with “joy and contentment” as she prepares for the next chapter in her life.
Evangeline – whose film credits include ‘The Hurt Locker’ and ‘The Hobbit’ franchise – wrote on Instagram: “I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision. Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment. I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong. A new season has arrived, and I AM READY…and I AM HAPPY. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Evangeline previously claimed that social media has an unhealthy influence over the film industry.
The actress – who played Kate Austen in the hit drama series ‘Lost’ between 2004 and 2010 – admitted to feeling frustrated by the ever-increasing influence of social media platforms.
She told the Evening Standard newspaper: “In the early seasons, there was no Twitter. By the latter seasons Twitter was dictating some of the stuff that happened on the show. They would say, ‘The fans want this? Alright.’
“Then of course Instagram and TikTok and everything else came along and just took over the business to the point where now, what really gets you a job in Hollywood these days, unless you’re a very well-established actor, is not your talent, not whether you’re right for the role … it’s how many followers you have on social media and, are you in franchise films? It’s just sad, that’s a sad reality in Hollywood right now. It’s become too corporate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Clelia Theodorou still struggles to talk about the horror car crash in which her mum died.
The 29-year-old star lost her mum in the tragic accident in 2023, while she broke both of her legs in the crash – and Clelia has now admitted on social media that her emotions remain very “raw”.
During a question and answer session with fans, Clelia was asked: “Will you ever talk about your accident and what happened?”
The reality star replied on Instagram: “I’m not sure. I find it very hard to talk about.
“Maybe in the future I will but it’s still really raw. Family and friends that know everything I can talk too but talking about it to someone new and reliving it is so difficult.”
Clelia admitted that she’s unlikely to drive again, having been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following the accident.
She shared: “I haven’t been driving and don’t see myself driving for a very long time, if ever. It was really difficult getting into a car again after it happened just as a passenger.
“I hope one day I will but for now absolutely not. Mostly due to ptsd but also my injuries, I would need to be fully confident with my feet etc.
“The first time I was in a vehicle after was horrific. Luckily I was taken home from my time in hospital in an ambulance because I still had to be on a stretcher and had to lay down.
“So that made it easier as there was only one small window to see out of but I couldn’t look. After that I was taken to and from appointments in ambulance transport, I couldn’t physically get into a car either. (sic)”

Alan Carr ‘eyed to replace Bruno Tonioli on Britain’s Got Talent’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr is being lined up as a possible replacement for Bruno Tonioli on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 68-year-old star won’t be available for the next season of the hit TV show, due to filming commitments in the US, and TV bosses are currently creating a list of potential candidates to replace him on the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ panel.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Once it became clear auditions were starting in October, as opposed to January as per the previous 17 series, it became clear Bruno may not be able to take part.
“He’s committed to the US, but the new format for ‘BGT’ is non-negotiable because the show will effectively be replacing ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.
“Bruno has been a real hit with his fellow judges and viewers so it would be incredibly sad to see him go.”
Alan, 47, is considered to be a strong candidate to replace Bruno on the panel.
The insider explained: “Alan Carr is a name that has been mooted – his chemistry with Amanda Holden is already a winning formula – and he would bring a fantastic comic edge to the panel.
“A decision will have to be made in the coming weeks.”
Bruno joined ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2023, after leaving ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
However, Alan was strongly linked to the role before the appointment was announced.
A source previously told The Sun newspaper: “For almost two months Alan may have been the favourite to take over from David, but Bruno was always Simon Cowell’s preferred choice.
“Not only does he have years of judging experience under his belt from his time on ‘Strictly’, he will bring an outrageous brand of comedy that ‘BGT’ needs on the panel.
“In so many ways this is already the perfect job for Bruno as it sees him return to a glitzy showbusiness favourite that fits in with the rest of his work.”

Cillian Murphy starring in Netflix’s Peaky Blinders film

OHMYGOSSIP — Cillian Murphy is to return to ‘Peaky Blinders’ for a Netflix movie.
The 48-year-old actor will reprise his role as Birmingham gang leader Tommy Shelby in the much-discussed film that has now been greenlit by the streaming giant.
Production is set to begin later this year with Tom Harper – who oversaw episodes in the first season of the BBC TV show that aired between 2013 and 2022 – directing from a script by series creator Stephen Knight.
Plot details and additional casting information have not been revealed although Knight has previously said that the film will take place during World War II.
In the wake of the movie announcement, Cillian told Deadline: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me… It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of ‘Peaky Blinders’. This is one for the fans.”
Harper said: “When I first directed ‘Peaky Blinders’ over 10 years ago, we didn’t know what the series would become, but we did know that there was something in the alchemy of the cast and the writing that felt explosive.
“‘Peaky’ has always been a story about family – and so it’s incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the movie to audiences across the world on Netflix.”
Knight added: “I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen. It will be an explosive chapter in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ story. No holds barred. Full-on ‘Peaky Blinders’ at war.”
Cillian had often expressed interest in returning as Tommy Shelby on the big screen but was only prepared to do so if the story was of sufficient quality.
The ‘Oppenheimer’ actor told Rolling Stone UK last year: “If there’s more story there, I’d love to do it.
“But it has to be right. Steve Knight wrote 36 hours of television, and we left on such a high. I’m really proud of that last series. So, it would have to feel legitimate and justified to do more.”

Simon Cowell launches campaign to find the next One Directon

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has launched a new campaign to find a “megastar boyband”.
The 64-year-old music mogul is keen to emulate the success of One Direction – who were formed on ‘The X Factor’ – and Simon has announced plans to host a series of auditions in the UK and Ireland in a bid to find the next big boyband.
The TV star – who played a pivotal role in One Direction’s success – said in a statement: “Every generation deserves a megastar boyband and I don’t think there has been one to have the success of One Direction in over 14 years.
“The industry tends to focus on solo artists – so it usually takes someone from outside to put a group together. Nothing beats the fun of being in a group, touring the world and performing for thousands – and it’s also a brilliant launchpad for a solo career.
“When you have a great group, it’s like lightning in a bottle but there’s no magic formula and a fair bit of luck involved!”
Simon acknowledged that ultimately, there’s no guarantee of success in the music industry.
The record executive – who has also enjoyed huge success with the likes of Little Mix and Fifth Harmony – explained: “There’s always a high degree of risk and I genuinely have no idea what’s going to happen! We might uncover an incredible group; we might not get there.
“What if no one shows up to auditions? That could be awkward. There is no guaranteed path to success – anything can happen, but that’s what’s exciting for me and that’s why I’m doing this.”
Auditions are set to begin in Newcastle on July 4, with subsequent auditions planned for Liverpool, Dublin and London.

Marvel eye Shawn Levy to direct new Avengers movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Levy is wanted by Marvel to direct the next ‘Avengers’ film.
The ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ filmmaker is thought to be the studio’s top choice for the upcoming superhero blockbuster.
According to Deadline, Levy has been presented with the script by screenwriter Michael Waldron but is yet to give an answer on whether he will take on the movie or not.
The studio is thought to be planning meetings with other directors as they await a final decision from Levy.
It is uncertain if the director will get behind the camera on the superhero ensemble project as he will be involved in the last season of the Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’ as a director and executive producer and also has a ‘Star Wars’ project in the pipeline.
The fifth ‘Avengers’ flick is slated for release in 2026 and had initially been titled ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ – although this was changed following Jonathan Majors’ departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after he was convicted of harassment and assault last December.
Levy’s blockbuster ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is to be released next month and he explained that the film is not titled ‘Deadpool 3’ as it is a “two-hander character adventure” featuring the heroes played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman respectively.
In an interview with Screen Rant, the 55-year-old director said: “As far as crafting the ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ story, I just felt privileged every day because you’re talking about two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles.
“It also gave me an opportunity. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but it’s not ‘Deadpool 3’. It’s a different thing that’s very much Deadpool and Wolverine.
“And it’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies. They were awesome, but this is a two-hander character adventure.”

“I thought it would be nice to do some, some of my old … see if my old bits, some of my old bits work. So I’ve got a load of new stuff. And I’m going to stick some of the old bits, because I’m quite fond of some of the old bits, you know.”
‘Dish from Waitrose’ is available on all podcast providers.

Meanwhile, Louise previously admitted to suffering “incredibly bad PTSD and anxiety” after giving birth.

A source told MailOnline: “He hasn’t been paid an appearance fee or any money at all for signing up to the show, not a penny.
“On ‘Love Island’, it is all about the exposure and for Joey, it means more than that too … He’s looking for someone to settle down with, so it’s not about the money he can make on the other side.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Callum Jones’ love life is “non-existent” at the moment.
The former ‘Love Island’ star is focusing on himself following his acrimonious split from Jess Gale, who previously accused Callum of being unfaithful.

Jess previously offered her own explanation for their split. However, the 27-year-old reality star is now keen to “put the story straight”.
Callum said: “I did see the interview that she done but I think there wasn’t that much context behind the old situation. So I just addressed everything because I just wanted to put the story straight kind of thing.”

Jess told MailOnline: “Me and Callum are not speaking anymore. I’ve not said anything, well I haven’t spoke to him in ages actually.

“It wasn’t a blazing row it was just a conversation. And from then onwards we decided we aren’t going to speak anymore.
“I decided to break-up because there was no way that could have happened after that. After that we spoke a little bit but it’s definitely not a thing anymore. I am very happy to just draw the line with that anymore.

‘They cut a lot out’: Michael Rosenbaum was meant to have a bigger part in Guardians of the Galaxy

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Rosenbaum was supposed to have more screen time in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise.
The 51-year-old actor portrayed Martinex in two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) flicks and explained that his involvement was meant to be much more significant than the supporting part it turned out to be.
Speaking at Nashville Comicon recently, Michael said: “The role was supposed to be a lot bigger. They cut a lot out.
“You were supposed to see… it was written in the script to see Martinex’s powers, which were really cool. But they had so much to talk about in the script that they ended up cutting it out at the end. And there was some other stuff.”
The ‘Smallville’ actor explained that he does not have any bad feelings towards director James Gunn and was grateful to have the chance to work with his friend on the movie.
Michael said: “It was fun. For me, it’s like, I’m working with my friends, I get paid, I’m in a big Marvel movie, life could suck worse, you know what I mean? I’m very grateful.”
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was billed as the final movie in the superhero franchise but Zoe Saldana – who plays Gamora – is convinced that it will make a return to the big screen in the future.
During an appearance on The Playlist, she explained: “I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
“It’s just such a fan-favourite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like [writer/director] James Gunn’s writing – which is just so marvellous for and very specific for this genre.”

Lee Isaac Chung made Twisters cast film in harsh conditions

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Isaac Chung exposed the cast of ‘Twisters’ to the elements during filming for the disaster movie.
The 45-year-old director has helmed the sequel to the 1996 tornado flick ‘Twister’ and pushed the stars – including Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones – to the limit to ensure the film was “as practical as possible”.
Lee told Empire magazine: “This is an elemental story, so I wanted us to go as practical as possible.
“We really tore things up. We had jet engines blowing. We had fans so massive you’d lose your hearing without earplugs. We were pelting our cast with everything – dirt, wind, ice.”
Chung also explained that the picture was shot during tornado season in Oklahoma which increased the complexity of the production.
The ‘Minari’ filmmaker said: “It was tough. The unpredictability of the weather caused a lot of issues and delays.
“It was my choice to do this in tornado season, but honestly, I still can’t believe we actually did it.”
Glen is confident that viewers will love the sequel as he knows what it takes to follow a successful film after starring in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.
He said: “Audiences won’t have seen anything like this. We knocked this movie out of the park!
“I remember when we were breaking ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, we went back to the original to figure out: ‘What do audiences want from a ‘Top Gun’ movie? What are the set-pieces and characters that feel wholly ‘Top Gun’?
“It was the same on ‘Twisters’. Our film honours the first one, but stands on its own merits.”

Helen Worth is departing Coronation Street after 50 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Worth is quitting ‘Coronation Street’ after 50 years on the soap.
The 73-year-old actress has played Weatherfield stalwart Gail Rodwell since 1974 and she celebrates her golden anniversary next month, but she has made the difficult decision to step away from the ITV show at the end of the year.
Half a century after she first walked onto the cobbles, viewers will see Helen bid farewell to the street in a major storyline for the her family, which includes son Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), daughter Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), son David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), granddaughter Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Gail’s mother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).
Making her announcement, she said: “This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world. I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.
“I have been truly blessed to have been given the most incredible scripts week in week out, and to have worked with fantastic actors, directors and a brilliant crew.
“The past 50 years have flown by and I don’t think the fact that I am leaving has quite sunk in yet.”
Helen will start filming her exit story next month and the emotional scenes will be on screen at the end of the year.
Paying tribute to Helen’s five decades on ‘Corrie’, Executive Producer Iain Macleod said: “The words ‘legend’ and ‘icon’ get used a lot these days but they genuinely do apply to Gail and to Helen Worth. However, given her humility, I know Helen won’t thank me for saying so! In Helen’s hands, Gail has been a huge part of ‘Coronation Street’ for five decades and at the centre of some of the most memorable storylines – often deriving from her catastrophically bad luck in choosing husbands!
“Her ill-fated marriage to Richard Hillman was one of the most ground-breaking stories in soap history and cemented Gail’s already established status as one of the ‘Corrie’ greats. As the matriarch of the Platt clan, her affectionately prickly relationships with her kids and flighty mum Audrey epitomise what makes the show great: complicated family dynamics brought to life impeccably by Helen’s dramatic and comedic chops, alongside those of her fictional clan.
“Gail has given us countless hours of entertainment but it should also be said that Helen herself is a consummate professional and a thoroughly good egg. Everyone connected to the show will miss having her around the place just as much as the viewers will miss having her on their screens and we wish her all the very best for the future.”
