MAFS UK star Ella Morgan nearly quit Celebs Go Dating due to ‘triggering’ experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Ella Morgan nearly quit ‘Celebs Go Dating’ because she was unsure if she was ready to start seeing people again.
The 29-year-old TV star – who wedded JJ Slater in ‘Married At First Sight UK’ last year before the pair split – revealed she considered walking away from the Channel 4 dating programme because she found the experience of seeing other people to be “quite triggering”.
In a series of Instagram videos, she said: “I nearly quit the other day because it was just getting so much. It was quite triggering. I don’t know what I expected going into this. I thought it was going to be a bit of a breeze, a walk in the park. It’s so soon into filming, which is why I’m like, ‘woah, what else is there to come out? How else am I going to feel about myself?’
“I think this has all stemmed from the brunch the other day. Obviously I’m not going to go into detail. I’m probably not allowed to and I don’t want to get into trouble. Since ‘MAFS’ I’ve been working on myself and I thought – because I haven’t dated since then – that I’ve conquered it and it’s going to be so easy, but I’m realising there’s still more work to be done on myself.”
Ella – who is a transgender woman – added she would be returning to therapy once the programme had wrapped.
She continued: “I thought ‘MAFS ‘was hard, but this is harder and I know I’m going to go on a journey on this show.
“Since ‘MAFS’, I’ve not really dated anyone – there’s kind of been the odd person – but I’ve not dated anyone and I really thought this was going to be an easy experience.
“We’ve only been filming a few weeks. Oh my God, it’s amazing but it’s really hard work.
“And today I’ve realised – and I’m really proud of myself for saying this because it’s quite a taboo subject.
“Obviously we have therapy on the show and we’ve got access to psychs and therapists and the team do look after you. But after we’ve finished filming, I’ve decided I’m going to pay for a therapist, even if it’s once a week, once a fortnight.”

Ricky Gervais bashes TV: ‘Terrestrial telly is a s**** show’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Gervais thinks terrestrial TV is a “s**** show”.
The 62-year-old comedian became a household name after starring in programmes like ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’, but Ricky no longer has time for traditional broadcasters because there is “no reason” to tune in while streaming platforms like Netflix exist.
According to The Sun newspaper, he said: “Terrestrial telly is s**** now. The only thing I watch is ‘The Chase’ – and ‘The Apprentice’.
“I just watch Netflix every night, or some sort of streaming service.
“There’s no reason to sit in front of the telly and have no choice any more.”
The actor had moved over to the streaming world in 2019 for his Netflix show ‘After Life’, and explained the transition away from terrestrial broadcasters was because the networks “wouldn’t be able to deal with” the offensive nature of the series.
During an appearance on BBC Radio 5 Live, he said: “They have complaints [systems], so they’re afraid of offending anyone.”
The ‘Derek’ star added he didn’t enjoy working with terrestrial networks because of their heavy censorship.
He said: “Soon you’re left with the same as everything else.
“We second guess the public too much. We think ‘ooh, can they take it?’ Of course they can take it.
“People lap it up because they feel like they’re not being patronised.”
“Luckily, it’s the best of both worlds with Netflix – it’s huge. Usually, to be uncompromised, I had to go to smaller channels so they’d leave me alone.
“It was BBC Two not BBC One, it was Channel 4 not ITV. Now Netflix come along and go ‘we’ve got more than all of them and we don’t interfere.’”
Ricky then admitted he and his partner Jane Fallon, 63, don’t watch his shows together.
He said: “She knows the whole process and she gives her notes as good as anyone would. But no, we don’t sit down and watch me on telly.”

CapitalFM star Sonny Jay is ‘surprised’ at how quickly he has adapted to parenthood

OHMYGOSSIP — Sonny Jay is “surprised” at how quickly he has adapted to parenthood.
The 30-year-old radio DJ welcomed baby Mia with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer in May and admitted that he finds it strange how such a “massive responsibility” just landed in his lap.
He told thortful: “It’s surprised me how Danielle and I have just kicked into being parents. I find it so odd how one day you’re not a parent and then suddenly you’ve just got this massive responsibility. The only thing genuinely that I found so difficult is being up in the night feeding. Doing a night feed and not falling asleep – I’m literally shaking my head trying to do everything. Scrolling on TikTok just to keep my eyes open, I’ve found that hard. I would say that’s the hardest part of it so far.”
The former ‘Dancing On Ice’ winner was then asked what his plans are for his first Father’s Day as a dad and admitted that while the timing wasn’t ideal because that Sunday (16.06.24) is when he is on hosting duties at the Capital Summertimeball, he will still celebrate the day before and joked he could perhaps take the little one along to work with him as long as she has a set of earphones.
He said: “Well, the timing hasn’t worked out because I’ll be working at the Capital Summertime Ball on that day. But we’re going to celebrate the day before because it’s my first one. I find it crazy because it really hits home that I’m now a dad and can celebrate that day as one!
“Maybe I could take her with some little headphones on for a backstage tour to meet people and experience something amazing at such a young age, we’ll see”

Giovanni Pernice will NOT return to Strictly Come Dancing, BBC confirms

OHMYGOSSIP — Giovanni Pernice will not return to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 33-year-old dancer has appeared as a professional on the BBC Latin and ballroom show for almost a decade but in recent weeks , he has been the centre of allegations of “threatening and abusive behaviour” towards his former partners on the series and now the broadcaster has confirmed he will not be a part of this year’s competition.
On Monday (10.06.24), the BBC unveiled the list of professionals who will take part in the upcoming series – which is due to air from September – and it included Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.
Giovanni has rejected all the claims made against him and said he “forward to clearing [his] name.”
The dancing champion first took part in the series in 2015, when he and ‘Coronation Street’ actress Georgia May Foote finished as runners up and in 2023, he competed with ‘Sherlock’ star Amanda Abingdon, but their time on the show was short-lived when she left and cited “personal reasons” as the reason behind her early exit.
Immediately after the news broke, Amanda deleted her social media platforms on Instagram and X.
Towards the end of May, it was revealed Giovanni’s future on ‘Strictly’ was uncertain after the dancer became jaded with the “scrutiny” he had faced for the allegations made against him about his teaching methods, and wanted to turn his attention to other shows instead.
A friend of the performer’s told The Sun: “Gio feels the scrutiny on him has become too much, and now is the time to make a fresh start.
“He wants to focus on other TV projects, and feels he’s achieved all he can on Strictly, having won the trophy back in 2021 and reaching the final an unprecedented four times.”
They added: “He remains adamant he’s done nothing wrong other than being a hard taskmaster but knows his style of training isn’t to everyone’s liking — especially in this day and age. He has a lot of other exciting projects in the pipeline right now, and he’s just super-excited to get cracking on them. This, now, is his priority.”

‘Coronation Street’ love triangle between Toyah, Nick and Leanne finally explodes

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Coronation Street’ love triangle between Toyah, Nick and Leanne has finally exploded.
Toyah Battersby (played by Georgia Taylor) has found herself in the arms of sister Leanne’s husband-to-be Nick (Ben Price), after the pair’s long struggle to persuade her sibling to step away from sinister cult The Institute, led by Rowan (Emrhys Cooper.)
With Leanne’s relationship with Nick in freefall, Monday (10.06.24) night’s episode of the ITV soap saw her storm out of their flat – leaving Toyah to comfort Nick in more ways than one.
The pair shared passionate clinch, leaving viewers wondering whether Nick and Leanne (Jane Dawson) will last, or if he and Toyah’s blossoming affair will take off.
Actress Georgia, 44, said: “It’s really confusing for Toyah. Nick is to all intents and purposes her brother-in-law and they haven’t always got on, so it’s not like she’s been harbouring some secret attraction.
“So this has hit her out of the blue – they’ve both been there for each other these last few weeks when life has been really tough and those feelings are starting to get a little bit blurred.
Toyah loves her sister but every time she feels guilty for leaning on Nick, Leanne does something to push her away again.
“It’s difficult when you’re angry at someone, but you also feel guilty for something you’ve done to them. It’s very conflicting for Toyah.”
Recent scenes have seen Toyah arrested for murder after the body of her stillborn baby was found in the park after a series of face-offs with cult leader Rowan.
When Toyah received a bouquet of yellow roses, Leanne sheepishly admitted she told Rowan about Toyah’s baby.
Georgia said about their row: “Toyah feels massively betrayed, because at first Leanne denies that she told Rowan, then even when it does come out and she knows she’s lied, Leanne is still on the backfoot and trying to deny it.
“Leanne won’t accept that Rowan would do anything like that because she just thinks he’s this perfect human.
“It feels like the ultimate betrayal because when Toyah’s at her most vulnerable, when she’s grieving the loss of a child, she still feels like her sister’s not there for her.”
Nick has slapped Leanne with an ultimatum: him or Rowan.
But his demand left her raging – although she later vowed she’d never cheat on Nick.

Gemma Collins makes ‘shocking’ and ’emotional’ family discovery in Who Do You Think You Are?

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins made a “shocking” discovery about an unknown relative in ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’
The 43-year-old reality TV star – who is also known as The GC – has been delving into her family’s history for the long running BBC show and she was surprised by her findings in the “emotional” upcoming episode.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: “Gemma has been filming an episode for the new series and it has been an emotional experience for her.
“There have been a lot of discoveries that have been really shocking.
“Viewers are going to get to see a different side to Gemma on the series.”
The new series – which is set to air on BBC One later this year – is set to feature an all-star lineup.
As well as the former ‘TOWIE’ star, bosses have also lined up ‘Line of Duty’ actress Vicky McClure, ‘Top Gear’ presenter Paddy McGuinness, singer Olly Murs, Spice Girls legend Melanie C, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, and Olympian Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill.
Simon Young, the BBC’s head of history, said: “I’m so grateful to all the celebrities who have shared their family histories.”
Gemma rose to fame on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ from 2011 to 2019, but she previously argued that there are no longer any “stars” on the show and it isn’t as entertaining as it used to be.
Gemma – who left ‘TOWIE’ in 2019 – moaned to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back. What’s happened?
“There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar] but the rest of them were terrible.
“There’s no stars there, darling – we were stars.”
And the ‘Diva Forever’ star insisted there is no chance of her returning to the programme because it is “toxic”.
She added: “Being in those toxic arguing environments… it’s a load of c***.”

Sequel CONFIRMED for huge 90s movie and big stars in talks for return

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are in talks to return to ‘Practical Magic 2’.
Warner Bros. have confirmed a sequel to the original 1998 movie – which featured Bullock and Kidman as two witch sisters – is in the works and will be on the way “soon”.
A post on the Warner Bros. X account read: “It’s official! Practical Magic 2 is in development and coming soon. #PracticalMagic2 #ComingSoon (sic)”
According to Variety, Bullock and Kidman are in talks to return for the sequel, which could see them reprise their respective roles as Sally and Gillian Owens.
Based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 novel of the same name, the original movie saw the Owens sisters, who are raised by their eccentric aunts, try to break a curse, in which any man who loved a woman from their family ended up dead.
Bullock and Kidman are expected to produce the sequel, alongside Denise Di Novi – who produced the first film – and Akiva Goldsman is to write the script.
In 2019, there was talk of a prequel ‘Practical Magic’ TV series, based on Hoffman’s book ‘Rules of Magic’, but it didn’t ever materialise.
Stockard Channing, Evan Rachel Wood, and Dianne Wiest also appeared in the 1998 original motion picture.
Despite initially receiving mixed reviews from critics and grossing $68.3 million from its $75 million budget, ‘Practical Magic’ has since gained a cult following.
As has Alan Silvestri’s spooky score, which features Stevie Nicks’ re-recording of ‘Crystal’ and ‘If You Ever Did Believe’, as well as Elvis Presley hit ‘Always on My Mind’, and Joni Mitchell’s ‘A Case of You’.

Will Ferrell and Bad Bunny team up on ‘extraordinary’ new animated film

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Ferrell and Bad Bunny are teaming up on new animated film ‘Dropz’.
The 56-year-old Hollywood star and Grammy Award winning musician, 30, are both involved in a new project for Paramount Animation, which is currently under development.
As reported by Variety, studio president Ramsey Naito revealed the film is being produced by Ferrell, with Bad Bunny serving as an executive producer.
She described the animated movie as “our E.T. about real kids in a super extraordinary situation”.
Rob Letterman – known for his work on the likes of ‘Shark Tale’, ‘Monsters vs Aliens’ and ‘Pokemon Detective Pikachu’ – is directing and co-writing the script with playwright Ike Holter.
Naito revealed the story is “infused with fashion”, and will serve as a “cultural statement” for both kids and families.
The Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation chief also revealed other original films, including an adaptation of ‘Swan Lake’, and sci-fi comedy ‘Muttnik’ following a puppy turned “Han Solo-type space bandit”, who returns to the family who abandoned him on Earth.
The latter is being produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Zareh Nalbandian, with Mike LeSier, Chris Yost and Michael McCullers penning the script.
Naito said: “We have an incredible slate coming out of franchise titles, and that has also allowed us to develop an original slate that’s really exciting.”
Another project in development is ‘Once Upon A Motorcycle Dude’, which she described as a “fairytale disrupter” following a princess teaming up with a post-apocalyptic biker to save their kingdom.
Original movie ‘Yokai Samba’ has also been unveiled, alongside other projects for already-established franchises, including ‘Transformers One’, ‘The Smurfs Movie’, ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants’, ‘Paw Patrol 3’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’.
Naito added: “We want to make movies that reach kids and families everywhere that have a real relatability, that feel broad and diverse.”

‘They should make a film!’ Sherrie Hewson calls for Benidorm return

OHMYGOSSIP — Sherrie Hewson has called for the return of ‘Benidorm’, after the show reached a new audience on Netflix.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who recently joined the E4 show as evil granny Martha Blake – would “definitely go back” to the ITV sitcom, and she would love there to be a big screen version of ‘Benidorm’.
She told OK! magazine: “I think ‘Benidorm’ is bigger now than when we were actually on television.
“People stop me and say, ‘I’m rewatching Benidorm again.’
“It’s been in the top 10 on Netflix..
“There’s nothing on telly like it, is there? I call it ‘Carry On Funny’ because it’s a very British sense of humour.
“I’d definitely go back – we all loved our time on ‘Benidorm’. I say they should make a film out of it.”
‘Benidorm’ – which was created by Derren Litten – ran for 10 series before being shelved after 2018’s 10th season.
The show saw holidaymaker characters descend on the same all-inclusive Solana hotel each year in Spain’s Benidorm.
Sherrie portrayed Solana manageress Joyce Temple-Savage in the series, and the 73-year-old actress is still in touch with several cast members, including now-‘Coronation Street’ actor Tony Maudsley, who portrayed hair salon owner Kenneth Du Beke in ‘Benidorm’.
She added: “I’m still in touch with a lot of the cast still.
“Tony Maudsley and I speak every other day.
“We never stop talking about ‘Benidorm’ – it was 10 years of our lives.”
In October, Derren revealed he had enough material for 74 more episodes of the iconic sitcom.
A fan on X asked him: “Would be great to see new episodes… Derren Litten surely living in Benners you have plenty of stories you could pen?”
Derren replied: “I don’t live in Benidorm but I live fairly close by.
“I have more stories for another 74 episodes; if ITV wants them, they know where I am!”

Corrie’s Julie Goodyear is ‘living a really good life’ amid dementia battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Goodyear is “living a really good life” amid her ongoing dementia battle, according to a close pal.
The 82-year-old actress – who is best known for playing ‘Coronation Street’ character Bet Lynch from 1966 to 1995 – was diagnosed with the disorder last year, but her friend Mark Llewellin has now insisted her condition has not dampened her spirits.
During an appearance on the ‘Conversation Street’ podcast, the author – who is the partner of soap actor Roy Barraclough, who played Bet’s husband Alec Gilroy – said: “Julie is living a good life, really.
“She still loves leopard print, I’m pleased to say.
“I see her at least once a week, sometimes twice a week, and spend a few hours with her and have afternoon tea at her house, which I call leopard print boulevard.
“She’s quite happy, she goes out regularly. I take her chocolate cake on a Sunday and we tuck into that – well, she doesn’t let me have any to be honest.”
Mark has also heaped praise on his “very brave and strong” friend.
He continued: “She’s good, obviously she has dementia as everybody knows, but it’s wrong to say you suffer from dementia, you live with dementia.
“It changes what you can do and how you look at life. I think Julie has been very brave and strong about that.”
Julie’s husband Scott Brand announced she had been diagnosed with the disorder last June, in an effort to raise awareness for dementia.
Mark admitted Julie and Scott had always wanted to be open about her condition.
He said: “They always wanted to go public with her dementia on the basis that it could help those going through a similar thing to think there was somebody like Julie in a similar position.
“It has brought in thousands of letters to her.”

Shirley MacLaine and Stephen Dorff starring in People Not Places

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley MacLaine and Stephen Dorff are to star in ‘People Not Places’.
The pair have been cast in the indie film from director Brad Furman that has started production in New Jersey.
The film tells the story of an elderly Atlantic City widow (MacLaine) as she meets a homeless man (Dorff) who sleeps in cars.
The duo bond over their shared loneliness as they face both his troubled past and her brief future.
The filmmaker’s mother Ellen Brown Furman has written the script while her son and Jess Fuerst are producing the picture for their Road Less Traveled Productions company.
Brad told Deadline: “This is the opportunity of a lifetime, as I have been collaborating with both Shirley and Stephen in preparation on this film for years. I have had the privilege of working with incredible actors, and none have been more committed than these two, to their crafts and these roles.
“On the eve of Shirley’s 90th birthday this April, she said to me that three weeks is like a year for her at this age. This story had to be told, and it had to be told now. And she showed up with the stamina of someone half her age. She is at the top of her game.”
The director added: “This is a personal, intimate story, written by my mother. It is an ode to mothers, and it is incredible to be able to take this journey with my family by my side.”
Ellen said: “Shirley MacLaine was always my Clare, a strong kind woman from a generation of women like my mother and aunt. Stephen Dorff is my Edgar, a role he embodies with truth, grit and elegance.
“Together with my son, Brad Furman as director, these three indomitable talents are bringing my script to life in a loving environment of mutual respect. My dream is coming true. Pinch me.”

Paul Walter Hauser joins Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Walter Hauser is set to join the cast of the Bruce Springsteen biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’.
The ‘Richard Jewell’ actor is in negotiations to play Springsteen’s longtime guitar tech Mike Batlan in the movie that is being directed by Scott Cooper.
Jeremy Allen White is portraying The Boss in the film while ‘Succession’ star Jeremy Strong is playing the ‘Born in the USA’ rocker’s manager Jon Landau.
The film is adapted from Warren Zarnes’ 2023 book of the same name that tells the story of how Springsteen’s 1982 album ‘Nebraska’ was made.
It was the musician’s sixth studio album and is one of his most acclaimed records. The songs focused on blue-collar narratives and featured Springsteen performing all the instrumentals alone.
It was ranked at 150 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020.
20th Century Studios chief David Greenbaum said after confirmation of the biopic earlier this year: “It is a once-in-a-lifetime honour to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many.
“The deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again.”
Paul is also due to star in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster ‘The Fantastic Four’ but explained that he had reservations about joining the cast because of the failure of previous movie adaptations about the heroic ensemble.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 37-year-old actor said: “Don’t think that didn’t weigh in as I was deciding whether or not take the job. That movie has not been fully nailed just yet.
“But I really do think the combination of the screenplay, and the department heads that are working on the film, and that classy cast of really exciting actors – some of them known for a long time, and some of them having a moment right now – (make me feel that) this movie is special, and it was something I wanted to be a part of.”

Joey Essex’s late mother ‘put him on’ Love Island, says sister

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex’s sister Frankie Essex believes their late mother “put him on” ‘Love Island’.
The 33-year-old reality star opened up about his mum – who took her own life when he was 10 years old – during the ITV2 dating show, and Frankie has now revealed she thinks their mother pulled some strings beyond the grave to get him onto the programme, because she “would have loved to see him settle down”.
During an interview with OK! magazine, she said: “It can be hard talking about someone who has passed away. It’s Men’s Health Week focusing on mental health now, so it was nice for Joey to open up about her.
“I was really proud of him because it’s something you never really get over, you just learn to live with it. You need to keep their memory alive, and Joey is doing that.
“I actually said to one of my friends that I believe our mum put him on the show – she would have loved to see him settle down. I think she would be really proud of us both.”
Frankie insisted ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ alum agreed to do the show because he “genuinely just wants to settle down now”.
When asked if her brother was looking for lasting love, she said: “He really is, 100 per cent.
“I think all Islanders are, to be honest, except maybe the odd few who could be playing a game. Joey has done it all before and dated in the public eye, so he genuinely just wants to settle down now.
“I do think he’s at a point where he’s finally ready to settle down and find someone.”
Frankie is “so supportive” of her brother’s quest to find the love of his life, but admitted she is “keeping an eye” on his on-screen partners, with Joey currently coupled up with Samantha Kenny.
She said: “Every night I can’t help but scroll through social media to see what everyone is saying about him. I’m so supportive of everything Joey does and want him to find love in the villa, but I’m also keeping an eye on who he’s partnered up with to see what people are saying about her.”

This Country star lands brand-new BBC show

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘This Country’ star Charlie Cooper has landed his own funny factual series for the BBC.
The 35-year-old actor and writer is to front ‘Charlie Cooper’s Local Legends’, which will shine a light on bonkers rural myths of the UK for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
He said: “I’m really excited about this new series, as I’ve always been fascinated by local legends, myth and folklore.
“As I see it, my mission is to explore our ancient world, seek out mythical creatures and boldly go where no TV presenter has gone before.”
In the three-part series, Charlie will tour the UK in his campervan, and he will investigate everything from Crop Circles and UFOs in Wiltshire to roaming ghost dogs on the coast and countryside of East Anglia.
The ‘Stags’ actor – whose sister is fellow ‘This Country’ creator Daisy May Cooper – will meet believers and the naysayers, and visit iconic locations along the way.

Broadcast details for ‘Charlie Cooper’s Local Legends’ – which is a working title – will be confirmed in due course.

Ex-Strictly stars agree it’s ‘sad’ Giovanni Pernice won’t be part of 2024 lineup

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro Kristina Rihanoff has defended Giovanni Pernice following his departure from the show, but James Jordan has insisted there is “no smoke without fire”.
Giovanni was absent from the BBC’s list of pro dancers confirmed to be taking part in this year’s ‘Strictly’ earlier in the week after nine years on the show.
It comes amid allegations of “threatening and abusive behaviour” towards some of his former celebrity partners on the Latin and ballroom show.
However, Kristina – who danced on ‘Strictly’ from 2008 to 2015 – insisted it is “very sad” that Giovanni won’t be part of this year’s series, and said he was always “easy-going to work with”.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she said: “I personally always looked forward to his choreography because that’s what I appreciate on the outside because this is the job I love and used to do.
“I think he produced some beautiful dances and it’s always exciting to watch what he would choreograph. I think the whole situation is very, very sad.”
Former ‘Strictly’ pros and couple James and Ola Jordan also appeared on ‘This Morning’, via video link, later on Tuesday’s episode (11.06.24).
While James agreed with Kristina that the situation was “very sad”, he insisted “there isn’t smoke without fire”.
He added: “I wanted each of my celebrity partners to have best ‘Strictly’ experience they could. I honestly believe if you went and asked all of them they’d say they had a great time.
“For him to have four people come forward, there’s clearly something there.
“I’m not bad-mouthing Giovanni, none of us clearly know enough about it. I can only discuss what I’ve read in the paper, which is four people that have come forward.
“If that is the case you have to sit up and look at it, isn’t the proof in the pudding a little bit, he’s not coming back.
“There’s something going on we don’t know about, we haven’t seen the footage, so it’s very difficult to comment.”
Giovanni has rejected all the claims made against him and said he is “looking forward to clearing [his] name.”
