Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is ‘solely focused’ on launching her career in the US following Big Brother drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is “solely focused” on launching her career in the US.
The 29-year-old reality star appeared on the Turkish soap opera ‘Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk’ before winning the ITV2 dating show ‘Love Island’ in 2022 but following her ill-fated appearance on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ earlier this year, she went across the pond to appear in the American version of ‘The Traitors’.
She told Metro.co.uk: “Life is good, and I feel so grateful for these amazing opportunities. The US has welcomed me with open arms, and I have felt so supported by the UK who are championing me to fly the flag across the pond. It’s been a whirlwind six months, but I’m solely focused on my career right now, and taking back ownership of who I am.”
The former ‘Dancing On Ice’ contestant spent Sunday (16.06.24) evening rubbing shoulders with Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie and Jay-Z at the Tony Awards and admitted that she felt “so honoured” to have even been invited to the annual awards, which honour the best in Broadway theatre.
She said: “Last night was amazing. I felt incredibly honoured to be invited to the Tony Awards, and it was an honour to be able to celebrate those in attendance last night.”
At the start of 2023, Ekin-Su endured a disastrous run on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ following her acrimonious split from Davide Sanclimenti and insisted recently that she never should have taken part in the ITV1 series following her breakup.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “I should never have gone into the ‘Big Brother’ house. I was angry, hurt, maybe a bit bitter, definitely insecure – ‘Big Brother’ is not where you go to heal heartache, let me tell you.
“I went into the show thinking that I could rebuild myself after everything that happened with Davide, but I came off worse. My guard was up.
“I blame myself for making a poor choice in my career. People could see that I wasn’t myself, and I can understand why they thought I was being fake.
“I never wanted to believe the allegations against Davide but people would tell me I was being cheated on all the time. I was so scared of being alone, and I didn’t know who the hell Ekin-Su was meant to be without him.”

Corrie’s Jodie Prenger reveals life worlds away from TV fame: ‘I wouldn’t have it any other way…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Prenger is “happiest” when spending time with her animals away from TV fame.
The 45-year-old actress stars as barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth on ‘Coronation Street’, but away from the set of the ITV1 soap opera, she lives on a farm with her fiance Simon Motson and their menagerie made up of three rescue cows, 16 ex-battery hens, five ducks, three ducklings and cockerel Mo.
She told OK! Magazine: “My Uncle Len used to have a bedroom for all his pot-bellied pigs and I’d love a house pig myself. People think because you’re on ‘Corrie’ you drink nothing but Moët and Chandon champagne and walk around wearing sunglasses the whole time. But I’m a real person. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’m sure a nice calm life would be lovely, but I prefer to be outside feeding the chickens and the cows. I do love putting a posh frock on for a fancy social event, but I know what makes me happiest and that’s the animals, even if I am smelling of chicken poo half the time!”
Meanwhile, the soap star first found fame when she won Andrew Lloyd Webber’s BBC talent search ‘I’d Do Anything’ in 2008 and as a result played the role of Nancy in a West End revival of ‘Oliver!’ alongside Rowan Atkinson.
She has gone on to an illustrious career in theatre, with leading roles in ‘Shirley Valentine’, ‘Annie’ and earlier this year she took on the mammoth role of Mama Rose in a one-off production of ‘Gypsy’ for the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.
But prior to mainstream success, she worked as a cabaret singer and performed in less-than-glamorous venues as she recalled once being fired at with a BB gun as she tried to get through her song.
She said: “I got changed in many a toilet because they didn’t have a dressing room and I dried my hair under the hand-drier before going on to stage. I walked into one club and it smelt of wee.
“At another they were still throwing darts on the stage while I was trying to set up. At one booking in Wales, I was the support act for Joe Pasquale, but then you’d have to go to this other venue and there were kids with BB guns firing at you while you were singing.”

Brad Pitt’s F1 movie set to release in summer 2025

OHMYGOSSIP — Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 film will be hitting cinemas in June 2025.
The upcoming Apple Original flick – which is being directed by ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, 50, and produced by 39-year-old Lewis Hamilton as well as Jerry Bruckeheimer, 80 – stars Brad, 60, as Formula 1 veteran Sonny Hayes who returns to the grid, and is officially going to international cinemas on 25 June next year, followed by its U.S. release two days later.
In a statement, Apple Original Films and Formula 1 said: “The movie is a landmark for the sport and cinema, filmed in real-time during grands prix around the world and involving the Formula 1 community, including all 10 teams, the drivers, the FIA and race promoters.
“The new feature film is set in the exhilarating and cinematic world of Formula 1 and will immerse audiences in the spectacle of the most popular annual sports series, celebrating the skill and heroism of the drivers while showcasing the incredible challenge of competition in Formula 1.”
The movie – which also stars Damson Idris as Sonny’s rookie teammate Joshua Pearce – is set to undergo further shooting later this year, and will continue filming up until the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.
Last July, Pitt decided to put a picture – which is reportedly called ‘Apex’ – on hold due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in order to show solidarity with Hollywood actors.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: ”Brad agreed that they would finish shoots booked in but has postponed planned production over the next two months.
“The cast and crew of ‘Apex’ have been filming in Budapest but Brad has called for the future dates to be put back, in solidarity with everyone striking.
“Everyone has been informed that there will be a two-month hiatus now.
“Conversations about when to start up again are ongoing but it’s likely it will be in November when they will be going to Las Vegas to shoot some scenes.
“Postponing the production was a massive call, especially financially, but Brad has listened to the concerns of the people he works with and wants to show his support.”

Robert De Niro blames himself for not knowing enough about comedy to pull off future Oscar-winning role

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert De Niro blames himself for not knowing enough about comedy to pull off a future Oscar-winning role.
The ‘Raging Bull’ actor, 80, starred in and started filming the never-produced 1970s film ‘Bogart Slept Here’ – before the script was reconfigured into the 1977 film ‘The Goodbye Girl’, which won its star Richard Dreyfuss, 76, an Academy Award.
De Niro said his then-director Mike Nichols, 83, didn’t find him a comedic fit and eventually fired him.
He told Quentin Tarantino, 61, about the project during a question and answer session at the Tribeca Film Festival as it launched its De Niro Con celebration of its iconic co-founder: “I blame myself. I didn’t know certain things. It was a certain type of comedy – (scriptwriter) Neil Simon – that had the timing that would be a certain way… it just wasn’t working.
“I shot for about two weeks. It was the worst. You know, I’ve had maybe three times in my life that I’ve ever had that experience with a director.
“You can’t make them happy and they’re not happy and you’re kind of feeling that. So this was one of them.”
De Niro added he later ran into filmmaker Mike at a dinner – where the director apologised for firing the actor.
The star said he responded: “I’m OK. I did OK. No problem.”
De Niro Con is set to continue over the weekend with more screenings of films including ‘The Godfather Part II’, ‘Analyze This’, ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, ‘Goodfellas’ and ‘The Deer Hunter’.
The De Niro and Tarantino talk started on Friday (14.06.24) afternoon with a screening of ‘Jackie Brown’.
Tarantino’s 1997 third feature saw De Niro play a role as the newly-released convict Louis Gara.
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ director praised De Niro’s portrayal of the “slow” ex-con, as his senses were dulled from years in prison and hits of marijuana after his release from behind bars.
Tarantino told De Niro: “I’ve watched the movie with a lot of different audiences and they always respond so much to how out of it and stoned you are when they’re trying to talk, when they’re having the whole meeting about the money exchange.
“You’re caught up in the phone cord and you realise that was a comedy scene going on right inside of there. You played it as a comedian. I think it was a situation where you just said, ‘Oh, I can do a little bit more here. I can have my own little bit going on while they’re doing the narrative.’”

Chris Hemsworth found it ‘liberating and refreshing’ shedding the ‘heroic Thor space’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth found it “somewhat liberating and refreshing” to ditch the “heroic Thor space” and play a villain in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’.
The 40-year-old actor has starred as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the 2011 film of the same name and reprised the role in several subsequent movies, but he was grateful to step away from playing a hero to star as Dementus, the warlord leader of the Biker Horde, which abducted Furiosa, and eventual ruler of Gastown, in George Miller’s fifth instalment in the blockbuster post-apocalyptic action franchise.
Speaking to SFX magazine, he said: “It was somewhat liberating and refreshing to kind of shed the heroic Thor space and transform into something different, and not have to be restricted by the expectations of the hero, guess.
The first time I read the script, I felt a huge amount of creative impulses and ideas bubbling up, and then my conversations with George. This went on for a couple of years before we started shooting.
I never had the luxury to sit with a character for two, three years before having actually stepped on set, so there was plenty bubbling under the surface.”
However, it was no easy undertaking, as it took him a long time to understand the character.
He explained: “Unlike other scripts, I didn’t quite know who the character was. I kept having different ideas. Then the next week, something would contradict that. Two weeks out from shooting, I got really nervous because I hadn’t clicked on what this character was. George [Miller, director] suggested I journal in first person as the character and see what comes up. About 1am one night, I couldn’t sleep, and I grabbed my notepad and just started pen to paper and didn’t think much of it.
Woke up the next morning and was quite shocked by what I’d come up with in that half-sleep state. I showed it to George, and we instantly went, ‘Ah, that’s the direction…’ and that now informs the why of the character.”
Hemsworth decided to forget about his “villainous nature” and instead have empathy for the way he is.
He went on: “I think I’d been caught up in the villainous nature of him for too long. I honed in on some sort of empathetic view of who he was, without justifying what he was doing. And getting to a point where I could go, ‘This is a savage, brutal world of survival and life is cheap, so you rule with an iron fist. Kill or be killed. Does this justify some of his actions and how can I go about it?'”
His co-star Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa) was a huge help in his vision for the character.
Hemsworth shared: “Yeah. I felt quite intimidated by the whole experience. What we were a part of was both exciting and also scary. I had a lot of questions and a real need to sort of dissect everything. Meeting Anya, I immediately saw the same enthusiasm. It was just a constant discussion. Everything Anya did helped inform everything I was wanting to do. The two characters – although as abrasive and polar opposites as they were – kind of complemented the journey. I didn’t realise that when I first read the script.”

‘I’m getting very nervous!’ Lorraine Kelly heading to Germany to cheer on Scotland at Euro 2024

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly is planning to be “quite drunk” while cheering on Scotland at their European Championship opener on Friday (14.06.24).
The ‘Lorraine’ presenter is heading to Germany this week to watch her beloved Tartan Army take on the Euro 2024 host nation in the first match of this year’s tournament at the Munich Football Arena in Munich.
She said on her show: “I will be in tartan waving and probably quite drunk.”
Lorraine has voiced some support for the team – who include Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn and Manchester United star Scott McTominay, and are coached by Steve Clarke – admitting they have been “great” ahead of the tournament.
She said: “The guys are doing great. Brilliant manager, amazing support, of course.”
But the star is “very nervous” ahead of the big match.
She added: “I’m getting very nervous and excited about this.”
Lorraine is known to be a huge fan of Scottish club Dundee United, so much so she was made an honorary patron of the club in 2018.
Former Dundee United chairman Mike Martin said at the time: “We are delighted that Lorraine, Andy, Ricky and Brian have each agreed to become our inaugural honorary club patron.
“Their passion for the club is well-known, and in their patron capacity they will help raise the profile of the club as well as personally contributing to a variety of current and planned initiatives here at Tannadice.”
Last month, Wrexham co-owner and Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds admitted he was a big fan of Lorraine, and had heard of Dundee United before.
Speaking on her show, he said: “I love Lorraine, we always have a nice chat.”
He added: “Dundee United – I know that one!”

James Dreyfus lands House of Dragon role

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’ star James Dreyfus has landed a role in the second series of ‘House of Dragon’.
The ‘Thin Blue Line’ actor, 55, is to portray Lord Gormon Massey in every episode of the upcoming season, which he believes will be a “crushing” blow to his haters.
He wrote on X: “If you love programmes about massive fire-breathing dragons, and very dark fantasy adventure, do watch out for me as Lord Gormon Massey in this quite popular, I’m told, sequel.
“In every episode. A cough and a spit. But you might enjoy.
“I realise the sudden news about my employment must be crushing to some, who’ve dedicated themselves to destroying my career. For absolutely no reason.
“I’ve been told daily that I’ve haven’t worked since 2001. Which is news to me. Still, no matter.”
Ahead of his return to prime-time TV in HBO’s second series of ‘House of Dragon’, the ‘Mount Pleasant’ actor sent additional “condolences” to his trolls, by revealing he is to star in a further three films this year.
James added: “I’m so sorry some of you will be sobbing into your tissues/sleeves, but I always feel the element of mystery and surprise is more thrilling. For me, at least.
“I regret to inform you that I also have 3 movies due out this year, so my condolences to you fragile princesses at this difficult time.”
James shot to fame as Constable Kevin Goody in 90s sitcom ‘The Thin Blue Line’, before landing a small role in ‘Absolutely Fabulous’.
He went on to star alongside Kathy Burke, 59, in sitcom ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’, appearing as wannabe actor Tom Farrell.

Daisy May Cooper’s Rain Dogs ‘shelved after one series’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Rain Dogs’ has been shelved after one series.
Daisy May Cooper’s BBC One sitcom, which aired on HBO in the US, saw the ‘This Country’ star portray struggling single mum Costello Jones, which earned her a Best Actress nod at the 2024 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.
But the programme, which was created and written by Cash Carraway, is not expected to return after it reportedly “didn’t rate too well”.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It’s disappointing for Daisy as Rain Dogs was a good opportunity to make some inroads in the US.
“But unfortunately, it didn’t rate too well on both sides of the pond.
“So the production company behind it, Sid Gentle, agreed with Cash it was time to move on. Some critics praised the writing but ultimately it just didn’t pull up any trees.”
However, Daisy’s other BBC sitcom, ‘Am I Being Unreasonable?’, which she co-wrote with her co-star Selin Hizli, has been re-commissioned for a second series.
Away from the small screen, Daisy gave birth earlier this month to a baby boy, Benji, who arrived prematurely.
The star shared a moving Instagram video of her weeping as she stroked her little boy through his neonatal crib, and she wrote: “What a bloody week…
You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that i nearly had to phone the samaratins but my god you are perfect.
“I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond. you are all bloody superstars. I am so blessed
“Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter
Born 06/06/24 (sic)”
Benji is Daisy’s first child with partner Anthony, and she also has Pip, five, and three-year-old Jack with her ex Will Weston.

Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson to star in new Kathryn Bigelow film

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson are set for parts in Kathryn Bigelow’s next movie.
The pair are in line to appear in Bigelow’s first film since 2017 although details about what characters they will be playing are yet to be revealed.
News of the untitled movie was first disclosed by Netflix during its Upfront Presentation in New York recently and sources say that it will be set at the White House during an unfolding national crisis.
Bigelow – who became the first female to win the Oscar for Best Director for her work on the 2008 movie ‘The Hurt Locker’ – had been due to helm an adaptation of the novel ‘Aurora’ for the streaming giant but it ultimately failed to get off the ground.
Idris has long been tipped to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond and joked earlier this year that he is now “more famous for not playing” 007 than past actors who have portrayed the spy.
Speaking to Radio X, the 51-year-old star said: “It was definitely one of the biggest rumours. I’m arguably more famous for not playing Bond than some of the actors who did!
“And you know, it’s been one that I’ve taken lightly at times. You know, everyone loves Bond. Such a fantastic character, and just to me, I found it as a compliment to be considered all those years ago.”
The ‘Hijack’ actor previously accused racist trolls of putting him off wanting to don Bond’s tuxedo.
Idris told the ‘SmartLess’ podcast: “Essentially, it was a huge compliment that every corner of the world except from some corners, which we will not talk about, were really happy about the idea that I could be considered.
“Those that weren’t happy about the idea made the whole thing disgusting and off-putting because it became about race. It became about nonsense, and I got the brunt of it.”

Scott Haze leads cast of The Prince

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Haze is to lead the cast of the Hunter Biden-inspired film ‘The Prince’.
The 40-year-old actor heads Cameron Van Hoy’s movie and is joined by stars including Nicolas Cage, J.K. Simmons, Giancarlo Esposito and Andy Garcia.
The film tells the story of an addict’s odyssey through the world of power, pleasure and pain on his transformative journey towards recovery.
Sources say that Haze’s character is partly based on Hunter Biden – the son of US president Joe Biden whose abuse of drugs and alcohol is well known and who was found guilty earlier this week in a Delaware trial on three felony counts relating to the purchase of a gun in 2018.
Screenwriter David Mamet had alluded to the project in an interview with podcaster Andrew Klavan recently.
He said: “These guys who did ‘Sound of Freedom’, they came to me and they said, ‘You want to write a movie for us?’ I said, ‘Yeah, sure, what do you got?’ They said they wanted to do a movie about Hunter Biden.”
Insiders close to the film have denied that the picture is based on Biden.
They said: “This project has been in the works for a while and, as it currently stands and is led by Van Hoy, is a fictional account of fictional events and characters.”
In a statement to Deadline, the director said: “It’s amazing to work with David Mamet on this wildly original screenplay.
“Collaborating with him, Academy Award winners Nicolas Cage and J.K. Simmons, along with Giancarlo Esposito, Andy Garcia, and my dear friend and collaborator Scott Haze, is a dream.”

Ruth Jones teases eager Gavin and Stacey fans about character deaths

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Jones teases excited ‘Gavin and Stacey’ fans by telling them most of the characters will be killed off in a helicopter crash when they pester her for spoilers about the last-ever episode.
The 57-year-old actress – who co-created the beloved BBC Three sitcom with James Corden, 45 – jokingly tells fans of the show their favourite characters meet a grizzly end when they ask about plot points for the 2024 festive finale, which will air on Christmas Day (25.12.24).
During an appearance on the ‘Brydon And…’ podcast alongside her fellow ‘Gavin and Stacey’ castmate Rob Brydon, 59, Ruth – who is currently performing in the musical ‘Sister Act’ in London’s West End – said: “At the end of ‘Sister Act’, I go out of the stage door and people and there’s often people there wanting programmes signed, which is lovely.
“But to a man, they’ll say, ‘I’m the biggest ‘Gavin and Stacey’ fan’ or, ‘Thank you so much for this Christmas Special,’ or, ‘You must be so excited, I can’t wait until Christmas’.
“A couple of people at the stage door, say, ‘What’s going to happen, is Smithy going to say yes?’
“And I go to them, ‘Do you seriously want me to tell you what’s going to happen in the Christmas Special?’ And they go, ‘Yes!’
“And I go, ‘But you don’t, because what happens on Christmas Day when you come to watch it, you’ll know what’s going to happen.’ And they go, ‘Please tell me’.
“So, I go, ‘There’s going to be a helicopter crash, most of the cast are going to get killed’, and I just make stuff up!”
As well as Ruth, James and Rob, all of the main cast – including Joanna Page, Mathew Horne, Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman – are expected to return for the festive one-off.

‘It’s going to be tight!’ James Corden reveals Gavin and Stacey concern

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gavin and Stacey: The Finale’ is facing a race against time to be finished in time for Christmas Day, with filming yet to begin.
Co-creator James Corden, 45 – who writes the beloved BBC Three sitcom alongside Ruth Jones, 57 – is set to return as Smithy for the last-ever installment of the show over the festive period, and he admitted the programme will have a “tight” production.
Appearing on Radio 2’s ‘Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on Thursday morning (13.06.24), he said: “We’ll be shooting it around September or October time. It’s going to be tight to get it in and delivered.”
James – who is currently starring in the play ‘The Constituent’ in London – admitted getting the gears moving on the programme was like “building a Jenga puzzle”, due to the cast’s busy schedules.
He continued: “Building that show is like building a Jenga puzzle with cast availabilities and all, things like that, but I think it will be OK.”
The former ‘Late Late Show’ host admitted the cast – which includes Ruth (Nessa) Joanna Page (Stacey) , Mathew Horne (Gavin), Rob Brydon (Uncle Bryn), Larry Lamb (Mick) and Alison Steadman (Pam) – have been desperate to get their hands on the script, but he and Ruth want to make sure it is completely finished before handing it over.
He said: “Once I open the play in a couple of weeks, Ruth and I have to do one last pass and clean up of it really, because the cast are like, ‘When can I read it?’, and we’re like, ‘Ah, just got to …’.
“Because we don’t really want to give it to anybody unless we feel like it’s [done], because we have to make a few trims and a few little adjustments, but I’m very excited to share it with people.”
After months of rumours, James and Ruth announced in May that the sitcom would be returning for the final time over the festive period.
Taking to Instagram, the comedian posted a picture of himself and Ruth holding up the script for ‘Gavin and Stacey: The Finale’, and added the caption: “Some news … It’s official!!! We have finished writing the last ever episode of ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
“See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James (sic).”

Austin Butler has no idea about Pirates of the Caribbean rumours

OHMYGOSSIP — Austin Butler insists that he is not aware of rumours linking him to a role in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ reboot.
The ‘Elvis’ actor has been tipped as a potential star of the new chapter of the Disney franchise but says he is none the wiser about the talk – even though he is a massive fan of the films.
Austin told Entertainment Tonight: “Oh really? I haven’t heard about that, I loved ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Who knows? I haven’t heard anything about that.
“That just reminded me of when I was a kid. In elementary school, we had to make these posters that had your favourite music, your favourite actors. And at that time – third or fourth grade, I think – ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ was on there.”
Butler admits that it would be difficult to emulate Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow if he did end up securing a part in the reboot.
The 32-year-old star said: “It’s a hard one to touch because they did it so well, I loved what Johnny (Depp) did with that.”
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed last month that two ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ pictures are in the pipeline – both the reboot and a female-centric flick that is to be led by Margot Robbie.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “It’s two different movies.
“We hope to get ’em both made, and I think Disney agrees they really want to make the Margot one, too.”
Bruckheimer had also hinted that the ‘Pirates’ reboot would feature a new cast.
The producer said: “It’s hard to tell.
“You don’t know, you really don’t know. You don’t know how they come together. You just don’t know.
“Because with ‘Top Gun’ you have an actor [Tom Cruise] who is iconic and brilliant. And how many movies he does before he does ‘Top Gun’, I can’t tell you.
“But we’re gonna reboot ‘Pirates’, so that is easier to put together because you don’t have to wait for certain actors.”

Gemma Collins dealing with ‘a lot of stress’ after family deaths and her mum’s health scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has been dealing with “a lot of stress” recently after multiple family deaths, and she was told her mother “could die”.
The former ‘TOWIE’ star was left devastated when doctors said her mum, Joan Collins, would not be resuscitated if she went into cardiac arrest.
Fortunately, Gemma’s mum is now doing “amazing”, but Gemma has had other tough times, including the “shock” passing of her fiance Rami Hawash’s dad.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve had a lot of stress the last couple of weeks.
“My mum was suddenly taken into hospital and I was told she could die.
“They would not resuscitate her if she went into cardiac arrest.
“So imagine that, you know, I’m in the hospital having been out for dinner the day before, and then the next day I’m like, ‘Wow’, so that was a massive shock.
“Rami’s father passed away, which was also a massive shock.”
Another family death occurred when Gemma’s chicken died, and she had a further pet problem when her dog was bitten.
She added: “Then someone bit my dog and then my chicken died.
“It’s a lot to deal with for one person in a week.
“And you know, I still have to go to work.”
Last month, Gemma revealed she was told to “prepare for the worst” a week prior, when her mother stopped breathing and was admitted to intensive care.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time: “So last week I had the shock of my life when my mum stopped breaking and I called an ambulance and was told to prepare for the worst and would I like to resuscitate her.
“It’s been extremely tough but she is stable now and hopefully she will be much better soon.”

Emmerdale’s Hayley Tamaddon hospitalised after suffering ‘horrendous’ pain

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayley Tamaddon was rushed to the hospital after she suffered “horrendous” head and neck pain.
The 47-year-old TV star – who is known for playing Del Dingle in ‘Emmerdale’ and Andrea Beckett in ‘Coronation Street’ – was taken to A and E after she vomited twice and began feeling like her head was going to “explode”.
Taking to Instagram, the actress – who has four-year-old Jasper with her ex-fiancé Adrian wrote: “Today. Woke up. Thought my head was gonna explode.
“Puked up twice. Took Jasper to nursery. Got ready for a photoshoot.
“Got there and realised I really should see a doctor.
“Ended up in hospital on a drip for medication. It didn’t work. Head and neck pain still horrendous.”
Hayley then revealed she had been diagnosed with arthritis – a condition that causes swelling and inflammation in joints – before being sent home.
She continued: “Had a scan. Got told I have arthritis. Came home.
“Picked Jasper up. Made tea. Put Jasper to bed.”
The actress admitted the ordeal had taken a toll on her, and added she would be returning to the hospital for a check-up on Thursday (13.06.24).
She penned: “Took some tablets. Had a cry.
“Going back to the hospital tomorrow. Life of a single working mum.”
This isn’t Hayley’s first health shock, as the soap star revealed in 2022 she had been diagnosed with meningitis, an infection that inflames the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal chord.
She wrote on Instagram: “Last weekend did not go as planned…and I ended up in hospital with meningitis. I got poorly very quickly. And my temperature wasn’t coming down it was going up. The light hurt my eyes and my head felt like it might explode. My neck was stiff and my body ached.
“I rang a family friend Anthony Kearns who is a doctor at Blackpool Hospital A and E department and told him my symptoms and he told me to get to hospital asap.
“I was taken into a cubicle and straightaway the amazing doctor, Dr Karun, said I think this is meningitis, but at that stage they weren’t sure if it was bacterial or viral.
“So I was given strong antibiotics through a drip. Then a brain scan and a lumbar puncture confirmed it was viral. And a few days later I was sent home.”

Ted Lasso star wants to teach England footballers the national anthem ahead of Euro 2024

OHMYGOSSIP — Former Soccer AM host and Ted Lasso star Lloyd Griffith wants to teach England footballers to sing the national anthem before Euro 2024.
The comedian, 40, is a trained singer and has even performed the anthem before Arsenal and Grimsby games, but believes it is “insane” that Three Lions stars, who will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia on Sunday (16.06.24), don’t have lessons in belting out ‘God Save the King’ before a big match.
Because he believes many don’t even know the iconic song – unlike privately educated rugby stars.
He told the ‘RHLSTP’ podcast: “I want to teach the players to sing the National Anthem, because that’s something they’re not taught, which I think is an absolute insane thing.
“I think the stat was only one footballer in the last England squad had been privately educated, and the rest had been through the state. It’s insane.
“So much money is put into a footballer through club level to get them to where they are, and let’s say it’s the first time they’ve represented their country and they go, ‘Biggest game of my life,’ and it’s, ‘Oh, just before you start playing, do you mind singing a song on camera?’ ‘How far away will the camera be?’ ‘Oh, about a foot.’ ‘And what if I don’t sing?’ ‘If you don’t sing, everyone will think you hate the Queen, and God. Good luck with that.’
“I think it’s an insane thing that footballers aren’t taught how to sing the National Anthem, whereas if you look at rugby, most of them have come through the private school route and they sing the National Anthem every 45 minutes in public schools.”
Lloyd would also love a crack at singing the national anthem himself ahead of an England match.
He added: “I was trying to do this campaign a few years ago to sing the national anthem before an England game at the Euros.
“Because what annoys me, when you go and watch an England game it is usually a singer that has no real love for football and they just sing it and then they’re off, or they’re in the corporate thing.
“I’m like, ‘Mate, get me in my normal clothes singing the National Anthem, get it really riled up.’ ”
