Prince George and Princess Charlotte's Christmas sacks

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s Christmas presents will come in personalised festive sacks.
Their mother Duchess Catherine has bought the young royals a large mailbag each from Selfridges in London, which have been customised to include their name.
According to MailOnline they have a crown printed on them and the words “Expresss Mail Service Please deliver the enclosed presents to [Name] Delivery date: 25th December If undelivered please return to Father Christmas, The North Pole”.
The festive sacks are “large enough to cater for even the most generous amount of Christmas presents,” according to the company that makes them, Harrow & Green.
Philip Taylor, who runs the business with his wife Tanya, refused to comment on individual customers but said: “We are obviously delighted that all sorts of customers love our products.
“When we formed the business five years ago we went for a very high end, quality product but one that sold at a reasonable price. It’s the kind of thing a child will enjoy year after year and even take with them when they leave home.
“They are made from a natural plant material and we ensure that everything is ethically sourced.
“They have proved hugely popular with parents who want something for their children that is quality, personal and will last.”
Meanwhile, Prince William recently revealed that Prince George is so eager for Christmas that he has been sneakily unwrapping some of his gifts prematurely.
Kiss FM DJ AJ King revealed all about the cheeky youngster after speaking to the Duke of Cambridge at a Christmas party for mental health charity The Mix, which supports people aged 13-25 through life’s difficulties.
AJ – who was performing a DJ set at the bash – said: “The Duke said they were all really excited about Christmas and that George is already opening his presents. He thought it was quite funny. That’s kids for you, even the ones that are princes.”
William confirmed his family of four would be having their own little Christmas together.
The DJ added: “I said Christmas would be a bit different for his children this year and he said they would be having a family Christmas together.”

Prince Charles warns about dangers of religious persecution

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles has spoken out against religious persecution.
The 68-year-old royal warned that rising intolerance risks repeating the “horrors” of the Holocaust.
Speaking during BBC Radio 4’s religious Thought for the Day segment, he said: “We are now seeing the rise of many populist groups across the world that are increasingly aggressive to those who adhere to a minority faith. All of this has deeply disturbing echoes of the dark days of the 1930s.
“My parents’ generation fought and died in a battle against intolerance, monstrous extremism and inhuman attempts to exterminate the Jewish population of Europe.
“That nearly 70 years later we should still be seeing such evil persecution is to me beyond all belief. We owe it to those who suffered and died so horribly not to repeat the horrors of the past.”
Prince Charles urged listeners to remember “how the story of the Nativity unfolds with the fleeing of the holy family to escape violent persecution”.
He added: “We might also remember that when the prophet Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Medina, he did so because he too was seeking the freedom for himself and his followers to worship.
“According to the United Nations, 5.8 million more people abandoned their homes in 2015 than the year before, bringing the annual total to a staggering 65.3 million. That is almost equivalent to the entire population of the United Kingdom.
“The suffering doesn’t end when they arrive seeking refuge in a foreign land.”

Prince Harry praised

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry’s appointment as patron of the Rugby Football League has been praised.
The 32-year-old royal replaces his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth in the role, and members of the RFL are thrilled with Harry’s new role.
Group Chairman and Member of Parliament for Leeds North West MP, Greg Mulholland said: “The Group is delighted at the appointment of His Royal Highness as the new patron of the Rugby Football League.
“Prince Harry is a huge fan of sport, and of rugby in particular, and I hope that that he will rekindle the Royal Family’s involvement in Rugby League.
“Rugby league is a fantastic sport and one that is embedded in local communities, where it is of huge importance to people, and it is also a sport played in towns and cities across the country. I hope that the Rugby League authorities will be able to work closely with Prince Harry to encourage more young people to play the game, get active and stay healthy.
“I also look forward to once again seeing the Challenge Cup presented at Wembley Stadium by a member of The Royal Family.”
Harry will also become the new patron of the Rugby Football Union, while his brother Prince William is set to take over responsibility for the Welsh Rugby Union.
WRU president Dennis Gethin said: “We thank Her Majesty the Queen for her support over the years.
“We are delighted that the Duke of Cambridge will take over from his grandmother as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union.
“Since becoming vice patron in 2007, His Royal Highness has been a great ambassador, not only for the Welsh Rugby Union, but for young people and for sport generally.
“He makes a great difference to everyone he meets on his regular visits to Wales and to Principality Stadium, interacting with all kinds of individuals and groups including players past and present, volunteers, apprentices, veterans and staff.”

Prince Charles' adventurous paintings

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles is trying to be more adventurous with his paintings.
The 68-year-old royal is a keen artist and during a visit to The Ayrshire Hospice in Ayr, Scotland, this week, Charles joined patients and staff at an art class and told them about his own works.
Hospice patient Jim Fitzsimmons told reporters: “He did very well but we’ve all seen his landscapes so we knew he could paint.
“He said he’s trying to be more bold in his painting these days and was giving us good tips.”
Speaking about the hospice, Charles said: “This is a splendid hospice and having met some of you I can tell you that I’m so full of admiration for the love and care in this place.
“It clearly makes a huge difference to so many and I hope it goes from strength to strength.”
Earlier this year, Charles’ wife Duchess Camilla praised his painting skills but admitted she was not so artistic.
She said: “I wish I had more time, I do it very badly. He’s so good; I get frustrated and give up. [I want to] tip out my toys from the pram.”
And Charles is actually one of the UK’s most successful living artists.
The heir apparent – also known as the Prince of Wales – has sold £2 million worth of lithographs through his shop at his home in Highgrove House.
Lithographs – which is the process of painting on limestone and printing the image onto paper – is the Prince’s preferred technique and has allowed him to make many copies of his paintings.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William's family Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Catherine and Prince William will spend Christmas with her family, for the sake of their children.
The royal couple have chosen to have Christmas with Catherine’s family in Berkshire, England, rather than at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham estate and parenting expert Lisa Clegg believes the decision is based on a desire for their kids, Prince George, three and Princess Charlotte, 19 months, to have an informal holiday season.
She told MailOnline: “The decision has been made out of a desire to put Charlotte and George first.
“If William and Kate can take a step back from Official Royal duties at certain times, in order to keep life as simple and normal as possible for George and Charlotte then that’s absolutely the right decision.
“The children are still very young and so won’t understand the restraints within certain obligations of the Royal family and to sit down and be quiet in particular situations.
“They are only little and need to be able to be children and get carried away with the excitement and fun of Christmas, without the world looking on them.
“For this reasons, it’s beneficial for them to be in a more relaxed environment.”
