Princess Diana organised supermodel tea for Prince William

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Diana once surprised Prince William by inviting three supermodels over for tea.
The British royal, now 35, recalls coming home from school one day and seeing Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell all waiting for him at the top of the stairs.
In ITV documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, he recalled: “She organised when I came home from school to have Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell waiting at the top of the stairs, I was probably a 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them on his wall.
“I went bright red, and didn’t know quite what to say and sort of fumbled and I think pretty much fell down the stairs on the way up. I was completely and utterly awestruck. That was a very funny memory that’s lived with me forever.”
It comes after Prince William admits he regrets his last phone call with his late mother, who died in August 1997.
He admitted: “At the time Harry and I were running around minding our own business, you know, playing with our cousins and having a very good time … I think Harry and I were just in a desperate rush to say goodbye, you know, see you later and we’re going to go off. If I’d known now obviously what was going to happen, I wouldn’t have been so blasé about it and everything else. But that phone call sticks in my mind quite, quite heavily.”
And his brother Prince Harry admits to feeling the same, adding: “As a kid I never enjoyed speaking to my parents on the phone. And we spent far too much time speaking on the phone rather than speaking to each other, because of the way the situation was. And the phone rang and off he [William] went to go and speak to her sort of for five minutes. I can’t really necessarily remember what I said, but all I do remember is probably, you know, regretting for the rest of my life how short the phone call was.”

Queen Elizabeth was worried for Diana during Charles split

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth was terribly “worried” about Princess Diana before she split from Prince Charles.
The British monarch was “deeply concerned” for the late princess in the wake of her split from the Prince of Wales, who she later divorced in 1996, according to Diana’s close personal friend Harry Herbert.
Speaking in the ITV documentary ‘Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy’, Harry said: “The Queen wanted to talk to me about it because she was so worried. She was so, you know, worried about Diana. And the Queen wanted to know how was Diana feeling – and was it as bad as it was. And it was a sad discussion – a sad moment really because that was everything at its worst.”
Mr Herbert also recalled the first time he set eyes on Diana, when he was just about to play a shot off the tee at his golf course.
He said: “Just as I was about to play my shot, this vision of beauty appeared, full of laughter and energy. And like everyone who meets her she had a big impact. I’m sure my shot was violently hooked or sliced but we became great friends from that moment.”
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Prince William used to “push tissues” under the door when his mother Princess Diana was crying.
Andrew Morton, who wrote the 1992 biography ‘Diana: Her True Story’, revealed: “I think as the sons of the future queen they would want to know more about their mother. Both boys lived through what was going on on a daily basis.
“To the point where William was pushing tissues through the bathroom door when Diana was crying. They knew what was going on at that time. They don’t need me to tell them about the unhappiness of their mother and the distance of their father.”

Prince William is a natural at royal duties

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William is a “natural” when it comes to relating to others.
The 35-year-old royal – who has Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, with his wife Duchess Catherine – has the ability to relate to everyone and anyone, just like his mother, Princess Diana.
One man, who he met at The Passage homelessness centre, said: “He said he was quite nervous when he first went but appeared at ease.”
Whilst another added in the Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy documentary: “He appears very natural, somebody you could go down to the pub with. Diana was a soldier of the Royal family.”
It comes after Sir Elton John praised the “incredible” gift the late Princess Diana had to make everyone feel at ease.
He said: “She had that incredible ability – which [Harry] knd of inherited – to make people feel at ease and make them feel that everything’s gonna be all right. I haven’t experienced many people in my life who have that ability, but she could walk into a room of people and make them feel as if everything was great.”
Meanwhile, Prince William is keen to keep his mother’s memory alive, particularly when it comes to his children George and Charlotte and he revealed he regularly talks to them about their grandmother so they know she existed.
He shared: “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her and we talk about her a bit and stuff. It’s hard because obviously Catherine didn’t know her, so she cannot really provide that … level of detail.
“So, I do regularly, [when] putting George or Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try to remind them that there are two grandmothers – there were two grandmothers – in their lives. It’s important that they know who she was and that she existed.”

Paul Burrell: Princess Diana’s name was taboo in the palace after her death

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Burrell claims Princess Diana’s name was “taboo” in Buckingham Palace after she passed away.
The former butler – who worked for the late royal until her untimely death in August 1997 – says Buckingham Palace was a “sterile and very cold world” in the months after.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, he said: “We have to remember that the boys [Prince William and Prince Harry] were 15 and 12 and they were taken into Buckingham Palace, a sterile and very cold world where Diana’s name was taboo. They were never allowed to speak about her or talk about their emotions.
“Now they’re not in that world and they’re out of that system and they’re young men with their own destiny in front of them so they can speak quite raw and candid about life inside Kensington Palace.”
Meanwhile, Paul recently revealed he hasn’t spoken to Prince William and Prince Harry in 20 years but praised them for continuing their mother’s “hopes and dreams”.
He said: “I haven’t spoken to them since their mother died in 1997. But I’d love to speak to them. And I’d love to tell Catherine about the incredible woman who changed all the rules to make her life more comfortable. To give her a better life as a royal. It’s what Diana did.
“I don’t know why [they haven’t contacted me]. But think about the system. The whole establishment is up against me because I’m the outsider. I belong in Diana’s world. I’m the one who got away. You’ve never heard me say anything disrespectful about the royal family or the Queen. We have a wonderful monarch … long may she reign …
“I think they [Prince William and Harry] are wonderful. They are following in their mother’s footsteps. She had them for long enough to instil her hopes and dreams and ideals. They are now the product of Diana.”

Prince Harry wonders what Diana would be as a mother now

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry “wonders” what kind of mother Diana would be now if she was still alive.
The flame-haired royal tragically lost his mother, Princess Diana of Wales, when he was just 12-years-old and he admits it will always be “difficult” without her in his life.
He said: “It has been hard and it will continue to be hard. There’s not a day that William and I don’t wish that she was still around, and we wonder what kind of a mother she would be now, and what kind of a public role she would have, and what a difference she would be making. You know, and of course as a son I would say this, she was the best mum in the world.”
And Prince William, who was just 15 at the time of Diana’s untimely death, thinks about his mother all the time and says she “lives with him every day”.
Speaking in the Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy documentary, William added: “There’s not many days that go by that I don’t think of her, you know – sometimes sad, sometimes very positively. You know, I have a smile every now and again when someone says something and I think that’s exactly what she would have said, or she would have enjoyed that comment. So they always live with you people you lose like that. And my mother lives with me every day.”
Meanwhile, William previously revealed Diana would have most likely been a “nightmare grandmother”.
He said: “She’d be a nightmare grandmother, absolute nightmare. She’d love the children to bits, but she’d be an absolute nightmare. She’d come and go and she’d come in probably at bath time, cause an amazing … scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place, and then leave.”

Prince George needs to choose surname

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George will need to choose his surname soon.
The four-year-old royal is heading to nursery in September and his parents – Prince William and Duchess Catherine – will need to pick a surname for him so he can register with his school when term time starts.
It is likely that the family will go for Mountbatten-Windsor but could choose Wales or Cambridge.
Explaining its origin on the official Royal website, a post reads: “The Royal Family name of Windsor was confirmed by The Queen after her accession in 1952. However, in 1960, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh decided that they would like their own direct descendants to be distinguished from the rest of the Royal Family (without changing the name of the Royal House), as Windsor is the surname used by all the male and unmarried female descendants of George V.
“It was therefore declared in the Privy Council that The Queen’s descendants, other than those with the style of Royal Highness and the title of Prince/Princess, or female descendants who marry, would carry the name of Mountbatten-Windsor. The effect of the declaration was that all The Queen’s children, on occasions when they needed a surname, would have the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.”
However, it is likely that Prince George – whose name was announced as George Alexander Louis when he was born – will have the Mountbatten-Windsor name unless Prince Charles decides to change the family surname.
The post adds: “For the most part, members of the Royal Family who are entitled to the style and dignity of HRH Prince or Princess do not need a surname, but if at any time any of them do need a surname (such as upon marriage), that surname is Mountbatten-Windsor.
“Unless The Prince of Wales chooses to alter the present decisions when he becomes king, he will continue to be of the House of Windsor and his grandchildren will use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Prince Harry regrets final phone call with Princess Diana

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry “regrets” his last phone call with his late mother Princess Diana.
The flame-haired royal tragically lost his mother in August 1997 when he was just 12 and he deeply regrets the last conversation they had because he was desperate to get off the phone so he could go back and play with his brother Prince William whilst they were spending time with their father Prince Charles at Balmoral.
Harry said: “As a kid I never enjoyed speaking to my parents on the phone. And we spent far too much time speaking on the phone rather than speaking to each other, because of the way the situation was. And the phone rang and off he [William] went to go and speak to her sort of for five minutes …
“I can’t really necessarily remember what I said, but all I do remember is probably, you know, regretting for the rest of my life how short the phone call was.”

Queen Elizabeth is a big fan of Coach Trip

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth is a big fan of ‘Coach Trip’.
Brendan Sheerin, who presents the popular reality show, claims the British monarch likes to keep up to date with the programme, which sees pairs of contestants travel around Europe in a coach and get voted off by their fellow travellers before being replaced by a new couple.
Brendan told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve heard the Queen has it recorded in when she’s away.
“It makes me so proud as I love the Queen. I think she’s an amazing lady, especially all the good things she’s done for this country. She’s phenomenal.”
The Queen is also reportedly a big fan of ‘Pointless’, having accidentally come across it when she tuned into the BBC News at Six early by accident.
A source said previously: “Her Majesty’s diary always stops for her afternoon cup of tea in her private sitting room and it’s now customary for ‘Pointless’ to be on the television.”
She is also said to like political programmes such as ‘Question Time’ and also enjoys racing, ‘Antiques Roadshow’ and ‘Antiques Road Trip’.
When she appeared on ‘Antiques Roadshow’ in 2014, she asked presenter Fiona Bruce when it was going to be on TV. When she found out it was August she told Prince Philip: “Oh good, we’ll be able to watch it at Balmoral.”
The BBC sends the Queen certain shows for her to watch but will reportedly slip in other programmes they think she might be interested in. The Queen is also gifted DVDs by the younger royals.

Prince William: Diana would have been a ‘nightmare grandmother’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William thinks Princess Diana would have been a “nightmare grandmother”.
The 35-year-old royal would have loved for his late mother – who died in August 1997 – to have met her grandchildren Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, but quipped she would no doubt “cause an amazing scene”.
William’s own parenting style is inspired by his late mother’s.
He added: “I want to make as much time and effort with Charlotte and George as I can because I realize these early years, particularly, are crucial for children, having seen what she did for us.”
And William likes to talk to George and Charlotte – who he has with Duchess Catherine – about their grandmother so they know she existed.
Speaking on the Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy documentary, he shared: “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her and we talk about her a bit and stuff. It’s hard because obviously Catherine didn’t know her, so she cannot really provide that … level of detail.

Sir Elton John praises Princess Diana

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John praised the “incredible” gift that the late Princess Diana had to make everyone feel at ease.
The ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker was close to the British royal before her untimely death in August 1997 and was amazed by the royal’s ability to make everyone “feel that everything’s gonna be all right”.
He said: “She had that incredible ability – which [Harry] knd of inherited – to make people feel at ease and make them feel that everything’s gonna be all right.
“I haven’t experienced many people in my life who have that ability, but she could walk into a room of people and make them feel as if everything was great.”
And Elton also praised Diana for raising awareness of HIV and AIDS and the treatments available.
Speaking in the ‘Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy’ documentary about the stigma surrounding the disease, he added: “It was considered to be a gay disease. For someone who was within the Royal Family and who was a woman, and who was straight, to have someone care from the other side, was an incredible gift.”
It comes after the 70-year-old singer heaped praise on Prince Harry for continuing his late mother’s charity work.
He said: “If his mother was alive, she’d still be doing the work she set out to be doing, and he’s carrying it on in the best possible way.”
And Elton thinks Diana would have been “so proud” of Harry for raising awareness of HIV.
He wrote on Instagram last year: “In 1991, Princess Diana moved a mountain by addressing the stigma surrounding people living with HIV/AIDS. She showed the world we could safely wrap our arms around AIDS patients, by shaking hands with a patient without gloves. We’ve made huge strides since then in the treatment of the disease.
“People now live long, happy lives with HIV, when the virus is effectively managed with anti-retrovirals. Despite this amazing progress, most people today are still frightened and stigmatised at the notion of taking an HIV test. Today in London, Prince Harry gave that stigma a knock on the head by showing the world how easy and simple it is to take an HIV test. Bravo Prince Harry! Your mother would be so proud of you.”

Duchess Catherine thinks her husband the Duke of Cambridge should attend dance lessons.

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Catherine thinks her husband the Duke of Cambridge should attend dance lessons.
The 35-year-old has been married to Prince William for six years and the brunette beauty joked her spouse should attend Berlin’s Clärchens Ballhaus, which is one of the last and longstanding ballrooms, to refine his moves on the dancefloor.
Speaking about the couple, who are currently on a Royal visit to Germany, to the Mirror Online, the ballroom’s guest relations manager Nils Juergens said: “Kate was joking that William should come here for dancing lessons and they both laughed.”
And William, who was spotted pulling shapes in a club earlier this year, has admitted he was keen to sample the German nightlife in the future.
Nils added: “I told them about the club scene here and William said he would like to try it out.”
And Nils has praised the Royal couple for putting him at “ease” during their meeting as he was really nervous ahead of their arrival.
He said: “I had been a nervous wreck before they got here but that really broke the ice and put me at my ease. They were very nice and very natural.”
During William and Catherine’s visit they also met with German actress Jana Pallaske, who has hailed Catherine – who was formerly known as Kate Middleton before she married her spouse – as being “regal” and having “so much grace” about her.
Speaking about the star, she said: “Kate told me she was really liking Berlin. I think they like the vibe here. It’s wonderful to see someone who carries themselves with so much grace. She is so regal. That is my goal.”

Tom Wlaschiha was asked to reveal Game of Thrones spoilers to the Royal family

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Wlaschiha was begged by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to reveal ‘Game of Throne’ spoilers.
The 44-year-old actor, who portrays Jaqen H’ghar in the HBO series, met with the 35-year-old royals during their recent trip to Germany and they constantly quizzed him about the upcoming plot and admitted they are huge fans of the programme.
Speaking to the Mirror Online about his encounter with the couple, he said: “They said they really liked ‘Game of Thrones’ and have watched every series. They wanted spoilers but I said I couldn’t tell them.”
But Tom was surprised by the request and the fact they tune into every episode, as he never thought they would have the time to sit down and tune into each series religiously with their hectic work schedules and having to look after their children Prince George, three, and two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
He said: “I’m surprised they have time to watch such a long running series.”
However, this is not the first time Prince William and Duchess Catherine – who was previously known as Kate Middleton before she married her spouse – have revealed they are avid watchers of ‘Game of Thrones’, as earlier this year during their interview with Scott Mills on BBC Radio One they opened up about tuning into the show.
Meanwhile, it has previously been reported William’s younger brother Prince Harry, 32, was close to starring in the fantasy drama as he was offered a cameo in the sixth season.
Speaking previously a separate source said: “Harry has been offered a cameo in the sixth series of ‘Game Of Thrones’, which starts filming in Northern Ireland.
“There are plenty of opportunities for him to take up a role.”

Prince Harry rumoured to propose next month

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry is reportedly set to propose to Meghan Markle “next month”.
The 32-year-old royal has been dating the ‘Suits’ actress for almost one year, and it is rumoured he is already thinking about taking his romance with the star to the next level by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him in the upcoming weeks.
Speaking about the red head’s relationship to the Daily Star Online, a source said: “I’m told there will be a formal proposal, and it could be as soon as next month.”
It has been reported Harry has visited his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s jeweller to discuss the aesthetic for the engagement ring, and the item will reportedly be made by an expert at Collins in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
It is also rumoured that if Meghan accepts Harry’s request to marry him, they will be planning to tie the know in the Spring next year, although it is believed they could “elope” to avoid having a “showy wedding”.
A separate source recently said: “They could get married somewhere private and elope rather than have a showy wedding.”

And Harry is said to be keen on starting a family once he’s a married man.

Prince Harry presents RAF Honington with new colour

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry presented a new colour to the RAF Honington regiment on Thursday (20.07.17).
The 32-year-old royal visited the site near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, yesterday to celebrate their 75th anniversary after it was set up in 1942, and the red head delivered a message to the regiment on behalf of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate the milestone.
An image of Harry – who is an honorary Commandant of RAF Honington – meeting the troop has been shared on Kensington Palace’s Instagram account, which was captioned: “Prince Harry today presented the RAF Regiment with a new Colour @rafhonington and delivered a message on behalf of The Queen.(sic).”
Harry was also set to present The Firmin Sword of Peace to the RAF Police during his visit.
During Harry’s trip he met with local school children before he officially opened the new Station Medical Centre.

Princess Charlotte wears Prince Harry’s hand-me-down red shoes

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Charlotte has been spotted wearing hand-me-down red shoes that once belonged to Prince Harry.
The little girl is currently in Germany with her parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and her brother Prince George and has been photographed wearing the iconic bright-red Mary Janes once sported by her uncle in the 1980s.
The leather Start-rite pumps adorned with buckles, which she wore with a floral Liberty-print dress, were first rocked by Prince Harry in 1986 at Highgrove House, Gloucestershire, and he famously wears them in a portrait of his family, including Princess Diana, Prince Charles and his brother Prince William, taken at Kensington Palace.
But it’s not the first time that Charlotte, two, and George, three, have mimicked their parent’s generation of royals in the style stakes.
At last year’s Trooping Of The Colour, Prince George wore a Peter Pan collar shirt and blue shorts that Prince William wore to Harry’s christening in the early 1980s.
And according to Daily Telegraph, royal clothing is often stored away so that future generations may make use of it as “many items of royal clothing are carefully persevered, stored away afterwards for potential exhibits, but also in case anyone from the royal family may wish to reuse them.”
Meanwhile, the royal children may have to share their family’s vintage items soon as Duchess Catherine is said to want “more babies” with her husband Prince William.
The royal couple, both 35, already have three-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte together, but it seems the brunette beauty still wants to expand her brood.
Catherine made the lighthearted comment during her trip to Warsaw, Poland, on Monday (17.07.17) when she was given a cuddly toy designed to soothe tiny babies during a visit to an event for start-up tech companies.
Upon receiving the gift, Catherine told her husband: “We will just have to have more babies.”
