OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman is returning to Broadway in 2020.
The ‘Greatest Showman’ actor will play the role of Professor Harold Hill in the latest version of the Meredith Wilson classic, which will be directed by Jerry Zaks and produced by Scott Rudin with choreography from Warren Carlyle and it will open on October 22, 2020.
Revealing the history he shares with the production, Hugh said in a statement: “The first musical I was ever a part of was the phenomenal ‘The Music Man’. The year was 1983, and I was at Knox Grammar School in Sydney, Australia.
“I was one of the travelling salesmen, and I think I can actually (almost) remember that unforgettable opening number! That was probably the moment when the magic of theatre was born in me.
“The idea of bringing ‘The Music Man’ back to Broadway has been lurking in the back of my brain for a long time, maybe even for 35 years, and when Scott Rudin called me with that very idea, I was floored. To finally be doing this is a huge thrill.”
Rudin added: “There is just no way to accurately describe the level of excitement I feel about the opportunity to present Hugh in what I think is the best role ever written for an actor in all of Broadway musical theatre. Although I have spent a lot of time and energy wishing there was a way to stop the passage of time, this is the one moment when I wish it would just move faster. I can’t wait for us to begin working on this together in earnest.”
Hugh is best known for his role as Wolverine in the ‘X-Men’ franchise and the spin-offs, however, he has demonstrated his musical acting talents on various occasions; winning a Tony in 2003 for his Broadway debut as Peter Allen in ‘The Boy From Oz’, playing Jean Valjean in the 2012 big screen adaptation of ‘Les Miserables’ and starring his own 2017 musical movie ‘The Greatest Showman’ portraying circus founder P.T. Barnum.
This year, he’s hitting the road for his first ever arena tour with ‘Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show’, and he previously revealed he has always felt “very natural” on stage.
He recently said: “I remember when I was about five or six doing ‘Camelot’ on stage at school and, from that moment I went on to the stage, it felt very natural to me.
“Halfway through the show they out a big crown on my head, which was too big and it slipped down and covered my entire face.
“I thought ‘Oh no this is a disaster’ but then I heard an uproarious laugh from the audience and thought ‘No, it’s all good, it’s fun’. I fell in love with it then and I’ve been that way ever since.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Lemon and Holly Willoughby had a pact with Fearne Cotton that they would all leave ‘Celebrity Juice’ at the same time.
Fearne, 37, had been a regular team captain on the panel show alongside her friend Holly and host Keith for over a decade but announced she was leaving the comedy series last year and has been replaced by comedian Paddy McGuinness.
On ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (13.03.19) presenter Phillip Schofield revealed that his regular co-host Holly and Keith had an agreement with Fearne, 37, that if one of them left, they all would depart, however, Holly admitted that she and Keith decided to stay on because neither were “quite ready to stop yet”.
Holly, 37, said: Obviously, when Fern said that she was leaving it was a bit of a shock for both of us, wasn’t it?
Keith, 45, quickly replied: “It was a bit weird.”
Holly then added: “I think we started together right from the beginning and it was always gonna be weird, however, Paddy there was only ever one person [to replace her].”
Keith then quipped: “I thought you were gonna leave as well!”
Spilling on the pact, Phillip then interjected: “You guys had a pact didn’t you that if one went all went…”
Keith confirmed that the trio “did initially” have an agreement to all depart ‘Celebrity Juice’ together.
Explaining why the pair decided to carry on without Fearne, Holly said: “I think what happened was we just really enjoyed making the show still and I don’t think we were quite ready for it to stop yet.”
Keith went on to say that he felt he and holly couldn’t “just go” because they both “enjoy it so much” and added that they immediately thought of Paddy,45, to be Fearne’s replacement.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kurt Cobain’s iconic hospital gown that he wore when Nirvana played Reading Festival in 1992 is up for auction.
The frontman wore the legendary garment on stage at the annual music festival for what was his last performance in the UK – before his tragic death two years later – and now the famous gown is up for sale via RR Auction currently at $19,965.
Nirvana’s 1992 set at Reading Festival was one of their most memorable, because Kurt famously wore the off-white hospital gown to poke fun at the mounting rumours about his health.
The ‘Come As You Are’ singer even had music journalist Everett True push him on stage in a wheelchair before opening the performance with a few notes of Bette Midler’s ‘The Rose’ and pretending to collapse.
Since Cobain’s death, the hospital gown has been in the possession of a fan, who said they received it from the singer’s then wife, Courtney Love, at a Seattle vigil following his suicide.
A letter accompanying the garment read: “Late that evening, Courtney Love showed up accompanied by Kat Bjelland of Babes in Toyland with a bag of Kurt’s clothes.
“She was visibly grief-stricken and proceeded to pass the clothes out while asking trivia about Kurt’s life… She handed me his hospital gown from the legendary Reading Festival performance from 1992.
“She then cried on my shoulder for a while. I tried to say something reassuring about his love for her and she pushed me away, insisting that he only loved Frances… The entire incident was sad. And weird. And it blew my teenage mind.”
This year, the festival will see the Foo Fighters and Post Malone amongst the headliners for the huge event.
The ‘Best of You’ rockers and ‘Congratulations’ rapper have been confirmed for the upcoming summer event, with The 1975 and Twenty One Pilots joining them at the top of the bill.
The festival – which takes place August 23-25 across sites in Leeds and Reading – will see Dave Grohl and the band play Leeds on the Friday and Reading for the seventh time on the Sunday, having previously topped the bill in 2002, 2005 and 2012.
Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots will split the honor on the Saturday (Reading) before closing the weekend on the sister site up north, while headliners The 1975 open up at Leeds before moving down south the next day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diana Ross and Nile Rodgers performed together at the Times Square Edition launch party.
The iconic musicians were the surprise guests at the opening of Ian Schrager’s latest hotel in New York City on Tuesday night (12.03.19) and gave a performance in the hotel’s Paradise Club, singing hits such as ‘I Want Your Love’, ‘Upside Down’ ‘I’m Coming Out’ and ‘I Will Survive’.
In 1980 Nile and his band Chic wrote and produced the album ‘Diana’ for the singer which yielded the hits ‘Upside Down’ and ‘I’m Coming Out’.
Sharing a video of the pair playing ‘I’m Coming Out’ Nile wrote: “I got to play two of my biggest songs tonight w @dianaross in my home town. (sic)”
The glitzy event saw the likes of Cara Delevingne, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Suki Waterhouse, Elsa Hosk and Andy Cohen in attendance.
‘Le Freak’ hitmaker Nile previously teased that he may perform with Diana, 74, at Glastonbury Festival in 2017 – however, despite heavy rumours, the Grammy-award winning singer didn’t end up playing at the event.
He previously said: “I have no advice for her, just go there and have a good time. She’s amazing, we were chatting just a few days ago.
“If she does do it then it will be wonderful, it will be one of those great moments – like Dolly Parton or Chic when we played there – and it will be really unique and special.
“If I happened to be in town at the same time then I’d possibly join her on stage. If it did happen then it would be mega!
“She’s still great, her shows are phenomenal, I don’t know if there are clips of her lately on YouTube, but she’s still awesome and everyone that goes to see her tells me nothing but great stuff.”

The ‘Black Swan’ star has teamed up with online-education provider MasterClass to share her “joyful experience” of acting.
She shared: “Acting is a joyful experience. It’s the act of empathy and play. You should be free to be creative, try new things and make mistakes. That is how I learned. In this class, I’m excited to share what I’ve pieced together over 25 years as an actress – things that have worked for me, things that I’ve seen work well for others, and tips I created to help myself.”
The 36-year-old actress previously refused to let herself be “pitted against” other actresses and says that they should not have to fight against one another to be cast as the leading lady in Hollywood blockbusters.
She said: “It’s been really incredible to gather actresses because I think something that we realised was that we’re usually the only woman at work. So like many other industries, we walk onto a nearly all-male set, and we’re usually alone and we rarely get to interact with each other. [There’s power in] just all being in a room together and sharing our experiences and realising how much we’ve been endangered by being isolated. We refuse to be pitted against each other. There’s not only one spot. We’re going to make room for all of us. It’s really, really powerful and really incredible and we have all of these new friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Simpsons’ boss Al Jean thinks Michael Jackson used the show to “groom boys”.
The classic animated comedy’s executive producer has spoken out after the team decided to pull 1991 episode ‘Stark Raving Dad’ – which featured the voice of the late musician – from circulation in the wake of the ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary.
Admitting it’s his own opinion rather than based on fact, he told The Daily Beast: “What saddens me is, if you watch that documentary – which I did, and several of us here did – and you watch that episode, honestly, it looks like the episode was used by Michael Jackson for something other than what we’d intended it.
“It wasn’t just a comedy to him, it was something that was used as a tool. And I strongly believe that. That, to me, is my belief, and it’s why I think removing it is appropriate. I lose a little bit of money financially, it’s not something that’s great personally to lose one of the most successful things I ever did, but I totally think it’s the right move.”
The episode in question sees Homer sent to a psychiatric hospital, where he befriends a man named Leon Kompowsky who thinks he is Michael Jackson.
Although originally credited under the pseudonym John Jay Smith, it was later confirmed that the ‘Thriller’ singer did voice the character.
Michael has been accused of child sexual abuse and Al believes he used the fact that he appeared in the show “to groom boys”.
He added: “I don’t believe in going through and making judgments on every guest star and saying ‘this one was bad, that one was bad,’ but the episode itself has a false purpose, and that’s what I object to about it now … I think it was part of what he used to groom boys. I really don’t know, and I should be very careful because this is not something I know personally, but as far as what I think, that’s what I think. And that makes me very, very sad.”
In Dan Reed’s ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary, Wade Robson, 36, and James Safechuck, 40, both allege that Michael sexually abused them when they were children and would stay over at his Neverland Ranch.
Wade – who testified under oath in Michael’s 2005 child sex abuse trial that the musician never abused him – claims that he was molested by the King of Pop from the age of seven until 14. James – who previously testified on Michael’s behalf when he was accused of sexual abuse in 1993 – claimed he was abused from the age of 10 until he reached puberty.
The Michael Jackson estate has hit back at the allegations branding both accusers “perjurers” and “admitted liars”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanya Burr has split from her husband Jim Chapman.
The 29-year-old YouTube star announced her break-up from childhood sweetheart Jim, 31, on Tuesday (12.03.19) after three-and-half years of marriage, however, she is adamant the pair will remain “friends forever” even though they are no longer in a relationship.
Writing on her Instagram stories to her 3 million followers, she said: “Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together.
“We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever.
“Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time (sic)”
Fellow YouTube personality Jim also took to social media to share a heartfelt message and says that he and Tanya are still “absolutely best friends”
Writing to his 2.1 million Instagram followers, he said: “After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“We’re still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other.
“We will continued to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds.”
The couple, who have a net worth of £4 million, have been in a relationship since December 2006 and they married at Babington House, Somerset, South West England, in September 2015.
A friend of the couple told The Sun Online that neither party was to blame for the split, and although they are both “really sad” they will stay pals “for sure”.
The pal said: “Jim and Tanya are both really sad but the split has been done with love and respect for each other. They will stay friends for sure. There was no one to blame they just grew apart.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Perry and his fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer had planned their summer wedding before his sudden death.
The ‘Riverdale’ actor tragically passed away this month at the age of 52 just a few days after suffering a stroke and it has been revealed that he and Wendy 44, had planned to marry in Los Angeles on August 17, according to TMZ.
The couple, who had been together for more than a decade, had reportedly sent out art-deco themed save the dates, in a 30s style grey and gold colour scheme, to their friends and family.
Wendy spoke out for the first time following Luke’s death earlier this week and said the “outpouring of love and support” since the actor’s death has been “a great source of solace”.
She said: “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”
Wendy hailed Luke as “an extraordinary man”, and also thanked his children – Sophie, 18, and Jack, 21, who he had with ex-wife Rachel Sharp – for their support.
She added: “The past 11 years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him. I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”
Meanwhile, Sophie recently discussed her father’s passing in an Instagram post.
She wrote: “A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, and in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs is to star in ‘101 Dalmatian Street’.
The ‘Excuses’ hitmaker has turned his hand to acting and will be voicing Cornish Doberman, Spike, in Disney Channel’s brand new animated series.
Speaking about his exciting new role, he said: “I’m voicing a very chilled but adventurous Doberman called Spike. He’s a surfer dude with a sensitive streak who develops a soft spot for Dolly when the characters head to Cornwall for a summer holiday. I really enjoyed taking on the exciting new challenge of voice acting, particularly for such a cool new Disney Channel character. The series starts on 18th March and Spike will get his starring role later this summer – I can’t wait to see the reaction to my canine creation when it airs.”
Olly’s character Spike will appear in a two-part special, which is set in Cornwall, with the singer having teased how Spike gets involved with the 101 Dalmatians in the new series, which is set in modern day Camden, London and features eldest siblings Dylan and Dolly, their parents Doug and Delilah, and 97 younger puppies, whose names also begin with ‘D’.
He shared: “In the episode that I’m going to be in, they [the 101 Dalmatian Street family] come down on a holiday from London all the way down to Cornwall where they bump into Spike, but the holiday goes wrong and Spike helps to save the day.”
Olly has always wanted to try his hand at being a voiceover artist and is excited about the opportunity.
Speaking about his voiceover dreams, he added: “I’ve always wanted to do a voiceover and I love acting, so for me this is amazing to be able to do for the first time … I enjoyed doing my first ever voiceover a lot. I perfected my dog barking skills many years ago, so I was able to get them out there to the universe today. It was really good fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keira Knightley’s famous ‘Love Actually’ hat was a last minute addition.
The 33-year-old actress – who starred in the 2003 Christmas romantic comedy – has revealed that the scene where her alter-ego, Juliet, realises Mark (Andrew Lincoln) is in love with her, was actually fronted by a last minute wardrobe change because she got the “biggest” pimple of her “life” the morning of shooting.
Appearing on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, she said: “Do you know what, the only thing I really remember from doing the whole of Love Actually, I was 17, and I got the biggest zit of my life when we were shooting this scene and it was the important one and it was literally like another head growing out of my head and it was a small part and I was only on it for two weeks and the chances of getting this extra head … So they went in and they tried to cover it and they tried to light it but there was nothing they could do so the hat went on. That’s the reason for the hat.”
The actress shot to fame as a teenager with roles in movies like ‘Love Actually’ but said criticism over her career and her changing body left her “broken”, and eventually led to her suffering a mental breakdown when she was just 22 years old.
She said: “I was at a time in my life when I was still becoming. Like most young people, I hadn’t quite found who I was or what I was about. My body was changing, and I didn’t even know how I felt about myself and what I looked like. Yet all of a sudden, people were being very vocal with their views on me as a young woman and as an actress. I lost confidence in myself because I was made to feel that I didn’t deserve to be doing what I was doing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas wants to duet with his wife Priyanka Chopra.
The 26-year-old singer and actor says he’d be “open to” singing with the 36-year-old actress – who he married in December at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India – as she has an “incredible voice” and there’s always a lot of “music and dancing” in their home.
Speaking to People magazine, he said: “I’d be open to it, I mean, she’s got an incredible voice and there’s a lot of music in our house and a lot of dancing.
“So, I don’t know. Right now we’re just enjoying the first couple months of married life, and we’ll see where it takes us.”
The ‘Quantico’ actress took on a starring role in the latest music video for Nick’s band, The Jonas Brothers, who recently released their first single in six years titled ‘Sucker’. Nick’s brothers Joe and Kevin’s significant others, Sophie Turner, 23, and Danielle Jonas, 32, also starred in the video.
Speaking about the video, he said: “We have these incredible people in our lives – Kevin and I with our wives and Joe with his fiancée Sophie – and it was really important to us to include them from the beginning. It’s a family affair across the board. It makes everything better knowing that they’re there with us.”
Nick celebrated his band’s comeback single ‘Sucker’ hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 by purchasing the ultra-luxury car for the ‘Baywatch’ actress.
Priyanka, 36, declared herself “Extra Chopra Jonas” with her flash car and hailed Nick the “best husband ever”.
Alongside two pictures of the couple toasting the new ride with a glass of champagne, including one of them leaning in for a kiss, Priyanka wrote on Instagram: “When the hubby goes number one.. the wifey gets a @maybach !! OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian is reportedly “upset” with Tristan Thompson for not making enough of an effort to spend time with their daughter.
The 34-year-old reality star broke up with the basketball player after he was accused of kissing Jordyn Woods – who is the best friend of Khloe’s half-sister Kylie Jenner – at a party last month, and it has now been claimed she’s becoming “extremely upset” with Tristan as she doesn’t think he’s doing enough to make sure he can see their 11-month-old tot True.
A source said: “Khloé is getting extremely upset with Tristan because he isn’t really making any effort to be involved in their daughter True’s life.”
Tristan, 28, travels often for basketball games, but insiders say the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star thinks he has “moved on”, and no longer cares about their family.
The insider added to Us Weekly magazine: “Khloé understands he is on the road because of basketball and lives in Cleveland, but she just feels that Tristan has moved on. Tristan’s attitude seems to be, ‘I will see True when I see her.'”
Khloe’s concerns come after it was recently claimed the former couple were “on the same page” when it comes to custody over their daughter.
An insider shared earlier this month: “Khloe has True for the majority of the time. Khloe’s able to bring True or be with her at work, where Tristan can’t. Also, True spends a lot of time with her big family and all the cousins are in LA so it makes the most sense for her to stay with Khloe. Khloe and Tristan may have their issues but Khloe will never deny Tristan a chance to spend time with his daughter. Things may change in the future, but for now Khloe and Tristan are on the same page with True being with Khloe for most of the time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ciara says found it difficult to wait until marriage to have sex with Russell Wilson.
The 33-year-old singer began dating the NFL quarterback in 2015, and has said that although they had an instant connection, their devotion to their faith meant they decided to wait until they were married to consummate their love – which Ciara admits “took a lot of prayer” to stick to.
Speaking about their decision to abstain from sex, the ‘Level Up’ hitmaker – who married Russell in 2016 and now has 23-month-old daughter Sienna with him – said: “That took a lot of prayer. It was hard. I can’t lie.”
But Ciara – who also has four-year-old Future Zahir with her former partner Future – says they were both determined to stick to their promise, because they had an immediate connection and knew it would be worth it.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, she added: “We both knew. We both had that light-bulb moment.”
This isn’t the first time the couple have discussed their abstinence pledge, as shortly after they began dating, Russell sat down for an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church in San Diego, where he openly discussed choosing to wait until marriage.
He said at the time: “I met this girl named Ciara, who is the most beautiful woman in the world. She’s the most kind person, the most engaging person.
“I knew that God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me, and to bless so many people with the impact that she has, that I have. Nobody’s perfect, but he’s anointed us to do something miraculous, something special.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Perry’s cause of death has been confirmed as a stroke.
The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star tragically passed away earlier this month at the age of 52 just days after he was hospitalised when he suffered a stroke, and on Wednesday (13.03.19) his death certificate was released, confirming the stroke as his cause of death.
According to TMZ, who obtained the certificate, his passing was ruled as an “ischemic cerebrovascular accident”, which is commonly known as a stroke.
The certificate also states Luke’s body was transported to Dickson, Tennessee – where he once owned a farm in 1995 – where he was laid to rest on Monday (11.03.19).
Luke’s fiancé Wendy Bauer was listed as his next of kin on the papers, and comes after she spoke out for the first time earlier this week when she said the “outpouring of love and support” since the actor’s death has been “a great source of solace”.
She said: “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”
Wendy hailed the ‘Riverdale’ star as “an extraordinary man”, and also thanked his children – Sophie, 18, and Jack, 21, who he had with ex-wife Rachel Sharp – for their support.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham formed a bond with Amy Schumer over their social media trolls.
The 32-year-old actress and Amy became friends several years ago, and have now said their bond was first formed when they rallied together to offer each other emotional support from the criticism they often receive online.
Speaking in a joint interview for The New York Times, Lena said: “It’s a pretty specific experience. Most people don’t know what it’s like to open social media in the morning and hear you are physically, socially and politically worthless.”
But the ‘Girls’ creator says the 37-year-old comedian is much better at handling the negative comments.
She added: “She’s titanium, and part of her skill is the ability to make it look easy.”
And although Amy might be better at handling the haters now, she insists it never used to be that way, as a few years ago she had to shy away from the public eye when they scrutiny got too much.
In the interview, she said: “I was kind of retreating a bit in general after years of getting beaten down, and [David] Chappelle was like: ‘There’s a lot of love out there for you, Amy. I don’t know why, but I heard it.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Torode waited three hours for his fiancée to accept his proposal.
The ‘MasterChef’ star was left feeling anxious after his now-fiancée Lisa Faulkner took time to accept his hand in marriage after he got down on one knee on Christmas Day.
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, she said: “She said yes which was really lovely! She didn’t yes for three and a half hours! She was so gobsmacked and I said, ‘Are you gonna say yes?’ She said, ‘I haven’t said yes yet?’ Things are sort of moving in the right direction, but we’re really busy.”
Lisa shared her excitement on social media and admits it was a “complete surprise”.
She wrote at the time: “My gorgeous John completely surprised me on Christmas Day and asked me to marry him! After waiting to tell our family when we got home we then had a few days just grinning at each other!! I’m so very happy to share our lovely news with you. Happy 2019 it’s going to be quite a year and I’m going to embrace every minute of it. All you need is love. Love is all you need. (sic)”
John also took to Instagram to share a snap of the actress.
He captioned it: “And she said YES !! Bloody love my Lisa .. Have put a ring on it (sic)”
The couple first met on ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ and she previously stated that she likes to keep their romance low-key.
She said: “Our relationship is as quiet and private as it can be when you both work in television.”
