Kit Harington needed therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington sought therapy at the height of his ‘Game of Thrones’ fame.
The 32-year-old actor was under intense scrutiny at the end of the fifth season of the fantasy drama series, when his character Jon Snow was killed off – only to be resurrected early in the following series – and he was struggling with his confidence and questioning his acting ability.
He told Variety: “When you become the cliffhanger of a TV show, and a TV show probably at the height of its power, the focus on you is f***ing terrifying.
“You get people shouting at you on the street, ‘Are you dead?’ At the same time you have to have this appearance. All of your neuroses — and I’m as neurotic as any actor — get heightened with that level of focus…
“It wasn’t a very good time in my life. I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable. I had a shaky time in my life around there — like I think a lot of people do in their 20s.
“That was a time when I started therapy, and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn’t talking to anyone. I had to feel very grateful for what I have, but I felt incredibly concerned about whether I could even f***ing act…
“It’s like when you’re at a party, and the party’s getting better and better. Then you reach this point of the party where you’re like, it’s peaked. I don’t know what I could find more from this. You realise, well, there isn’t more. This is it. And the ‘more’ that you can find is actually in the work rather than the enjoyment surrounding it.”
The show is due to end after the upcoming final season and Kit admitted that, for the first time, relations between the cast grew “strained” but he insisted they are all fine again now.
He said: “[The shoot was] in extreme weather and just in heavy fucking costumes.
“I was there the whole time this year. I felt a bit like people were coming in and out, and Jon Snow was just f*cking there the whole time.
“You have these in-jokes, and these relationships that thrive for eight years. That’s a long time for those jokes to be going, and they never felt old or tired.
“In the last season, I was like, these are getting tired now. And I think they got tired because we could see the end coming.
“That’s a way of emotionally detaching from something: relationships very slightly starting to strain, just on the edges, just frayed. Now everyone loves each other again.”

Speaking to Radio Times, Grammer said: “I can’t memorise it until I start to move it. It becomes a kind of kinaesthetic memory – at least on stage.
“With television I don’t learn it until five minutes before I do it, because most of the language is not that interesting, and that brings a sense of spontaneity!”
‘Man of La Mancha’ is a 1965 musical with a book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics written by Joe Darion and music by Mitch Leigh.
The production will be directed by Lonny Price, who previously helmed ‘Sunset Boulevard’, which starred Glenn Close.

“That means it’s stuff I wouldn’t normally watch, like YouTube, which is a lot of watching videos of other kids playing the same games my kids play!
“I try to limit some of the time they spend on it, without being controlling, because I do think it is good for their brains.

Julia Roberts doesn’t punish her children

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts doesn’t punish her children but thinks her “serious face” is “enough” for them to know they have done wrong.
The 51-year-old actress has 14-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 11-year-old son Henry with her husband Daniel Moder – who she married in 2002 – and though she is a “strict” parent who thinks it’s important that her children “know their boundaries”, she doesn’t often lose her temper.
Speaking on Italian TV show ‘C’è posta per te’ she said: “I’ve been married for almost 17 years. I’m lucky enough I married the man of my life and I have three amazing children.
“I’m a strict mum. I don’t really lose my temper, but I think it’s important that children know the boundaries of their world and that they feel safe inside those boundaries.
“But if something happens I don’t really punish them, I prefer to have conversations with them. I think my serious face is punishment enough”.
The ‘Pretty Woman’ star has previously admitted that she feels it’s important her children do chores and said that although she doesn’t want her kids to “struggle” in the way she did when she was growing up, she’s determined to instill in them practical skills that will help them later in life.
The ‘Homecoming’ actress said: “From the kind of childhood I had, I raised my kids now, I don’t want them to have to have some of the struggles I had, but at the same time, you do need to know how to make your bed and how to do your laundry and how to be able to make one meal, these are important life skills. They have to run their own race, they have to have their own experience.”

Dan Reed open to Leaving Neverland follow-up

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Leaving Neverland’ director Dan Reed wants to make a follow-up documentary about Michael Jackson’s sexual abuse trial.
The filmmaker explored accusations made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck against the late ‘Thriller’ hitmaker in the two-part series and he’s admitted he is keen to keep working on the scandal but only if Gavin Arvizo – who accused Jackson of molesting him – would consent to take part because he’s fascinated by the fact the King of Pop was acquitted of all charges in 2005 following an 18-month trial.
Asked if he’d like to make a sequel, he told Film School Rejects: “Oh yeah, I would love to do that. The film I would really like to make following this one is the trial of Michael Jackson.
“I could only do that if the victim and his family participate. It would be a much weaker film [if they didn’t.] I don’t want to follow ‘Leaving Neverland’ with a weaker film.
“If Gavin Arvizo and his family would agree to participate, I would very much like to tell the story of that trial. I think it’s fascinating and astonishing that Michael was acquitted.
“The way that happened is an amazing story and one that should be told. But no, I’m not going to just carry on making Michael Jackson films, that’s not my thing.”
Dan revealed he also has a number of interviews carried out with police and those who investigated the allegations against the ‘Bad’ singer that didn’t make the cut in ‘Finding Neverland’ because he felt it was more important to focus on the alleged victims.
He said: “I shot interviews with LAPD and Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department who investigated. I had a great interview with the main prosecutor, the deputy DA from the 2005 trial.
“We hadn’t put those in because I had a strong feeling it needed to remain a claustrophobic story about two families.
“This was unseen and unheard and the first time Michael’s victims had really spoken out in any detail to the press about what happened.
“I thought that was an extraordinary new thing we have, and the other extraordinary thing we have is this sort of 360-degree insight into the family’s ordeal once the information about the abuse was disclosed. It becomes a drama…
“Four and 3/4 hours felt like a complete story and HBO agreed, and then it became a case of what do we take out and get it down to four hours, because we were all in agreement it shouldn’t be longer than four hours.”

Wendy Williams staying in sober living facility

OHMYGOSSIP — Wendy Williams is living in a sober house.
The talk show host – who took a break from her eponymous programme in January after announcing she was experiencing complications from autoimmune condition Graves Disease – revealed on the programme she has been living in a special facility in New York in order to combat her addictions.
Weeping on her show on Tuesday (19.03.19), she admitted: “I have been living in a sober house…
“You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in the past. I never went to a place to get treatment … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story.”
After work on the show and attending various classes and groups, the 54-year-old star returns to the facility every day.
She continued: “After I go to the Pilates and go to several meetings all around town in the tri-state area, I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help.
“They don’t know I’m Wendy. They don’t care I’m Wendy. It’s the brothers and sisters caught up in the struggle. It’s been really interesting, this ride.”
Before making her confession on the show, Wendy admitted only her husband Kevin Hunter had known the truth.
She said: “Only Kevin knows about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here.
“After I finish my appointments … I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family.
“We talk and read and talk and read and then I get bored with them. Doors locked by 10 p.m., lights out by 10 p.m., so I go to my room and stare at the ceiling and fall asleep to come here and see you. So that is my truth.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian’s daughter True is “worth” the struggle she’s been through with Tristan Thompson.
The 34-year-old reality star split with the basketball player when he allegedly locked lips with Jordyn Woods – who is the best friend of Khloe’s half-sister Kylie Jenner – at a party last month, and although she’s been left heartbroken by the break-up, she says the 11-month-old tot she has with the NBA star has made it all “worth it”.
When one fan tweeted: “I genuinely hope @khloekardashian meets someone one day that treats her with the respect she deserves. She’s been through more shiddy relationships than any one person deserves. At least she got baby True (sic)”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star replied: “Baby True made it all worth it. Thank you for your beautiful message.”
Khloe also admitted she doesn’t post much about True on social media because she doesn’t want to “bug” her fans, but insisted she will be featured in upcoming episodes of their family’s E! reality show.
Responding to a fan who said they “couldn’t wait” to see more of True on the show, Khloe said: “She will definitely be on the show. But I try to not post her that much because I don’t want to bug the fuck out of you guys LOL I know most people don’t care about other people’s kids but I can’t help it LOL (sic)”
The tweets come after she recently said 28-year-old Tristan was a “good dad” to True, despite reports of her being upset that he wasn’t putting in enough of an effort.
A fan tweeted: “@khloekardashian hunny keep raising your daughter the best way you know how. All she needs is her mom. You’re doing great. Keep ya head up. (sic)”
And Khloe responded: “Thank you love! You’re so very sweet. But he is a good dad to her. My sweet and special baby True will NEVER be put in the middle of him and I. I can promise that (sic)”

Carrie Underwood is struggling with weight loss

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood doesn’t “feel like herself” following the birth of her second son.
The 35-year-old singer gave birth to her son Jacob almost two months ago, and has said she’s been struggling to regain her pre-baby body, and no longer feels comfortable in her own skin as she feels like her body “belongs” to her son.
Posting on Instagram, the ‘Cry Pretty’ hitmaker – who has Jacob, as well as three-year-old son Isaiah, with her husband Mike Fisher – wrote: “I’m going to be honest, ‘bouncing back’ after having Jacob has been much more difficult than after I had Isaiah and I’ve been pretty hard on myself lately. I go into the gym and I can’t run as fast or as far. I can’t lift as much weight or do as many reps as I could a year ago. I just want to feel like myself again…for my body to feel the way that I know it can. As I was working out today, I realized that for the past 11(ish) months, my body has not belonged to me. It was a perfect home for Jacob. And even now it belongs to him every time he drinks his milk. (sic)”
Carrie is currently preparing to head out on tour, and says she is making a promise to her self to “start appreciating” her body and “stop analysing every angle and every curve”.
She added: “As I prepare for red carpets and for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can’t. I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal. I’m going to keep staying the path because it is a journey and as long as I’m always working towards my goals, one day I’ll reach them. I’m going to take it day by day, smile at the girl in the mirror, and work out because I love this body and all it has done and will continue to do! #bodyafterbaby #fitmom #healthy #staythepath @caliabycarrie. Gemma Chan likes to ‘sit back’ in social situations

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Chan prefers to “sit back” in social situations.
The 36-year-old actress has revealed she’s a reserved person off-screen, and would much rather take a back seat when she’s around people she doesn’t know at a party, because she likes to “get the measure of people” before speaking to them.
She said: “In a new social situation, I’d much rather sit back and let other people talk first. I prefer to listen and, I suppose, get the measure of people before I necessarily give them all of me.”
The ‘Captain Marvel’ actress also spoke about racial inequality in Hollywood, as she slammed critics who took issue with her portraying Bess of Hardwick in recently released movie ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
Gemma insists skin colour doesn’t matter in film even when it comes to historical roles, and praised ‘Hamilton’ for casting a black actor as George Washington, as she says “our art should reflect life now.”
Speaking to Allure magazine, she added: “Why are actors of colour, who have fewer opportunities anyway, only allowed to play their own race? And sometimes they’re not even allowed to play their own race. In the past, the role would be given to a white actor who would tape up their eyes and do the role in yellow face … I feel like Hamilton opened minds a lot. We have a black man playing George Washington. They describe it as ‘America then, told by America now.’ And I think our art should reflect life now.”
Meanwhile, Gemma recently spoke about her career and said her law degree – which she obtained when she studied at the prestigious Oxford University – has helped her in her pursuit of stardom, because she knows how to check a contract carefully and can memorise scripts quickly.
She said: “It is quite helpful with the memorisation, I had to learn about 2,000 cases by heart, so I am fairly good at learning scripts quickly. On the whole, it is quite a different part of the brain: Law is very analytical, and acting is more instinctive and emotionally driven.
“But, it does come in handy with learning lines – and reading my own contract.”

Priyanka Chopra: I’m a terrible wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra has joked she’s a “terrible wife” because she “can’t cook”.
The 36-year-old actress married singer Nick Jonas last year, and has now revealed she warned him when he proposed to her that whilst he was used to have amazing home cooked meals from his mother, he wouldn’t be getting the same treatment when he married her, because she’s awful in the kitchen.
She said: “I can’t cook. And I told him that when he proposed. I was like, ‘Listen, you’re from a good southern home, you’re used to your mom making you amazing food. You’re not marrying that girl.’ I cannot cook. I can make eggs, also sporadically, maybe at night.”
Luckily for the ‘Quantico’ actress, the 26-year-old Jonas Brothers star didn’t mind her lack of culinary expertise, as he admitted he too struggles when it comes to meal times.
Priyanka added during an appearance on ‘The View’ on Tuesday (19.03.19): “I’m a terrible, terrible wife in that sense, but the most amazing thing when I told him that, ‘Babe, I can’t cook and I hope you know that,’ he said, ‘It’s alright babe, neither can I.’ But you don’t hear that from guys! They’re usually like, ‘It’s OK, baby.’ And he was like, ‘I can’t either!”
And although they won’t be collaborating in the kitchen any time soon, Nick recently claimed he’d be “open” to teaming up with his wife on a song, because he says she has an “amazing voice”.
He said: “I’d be open to it, I mean, she’s got an incredible voice and there’s a lot of music in our house and a lot of dancing.
“So, I don’t know. Right now we’re just enjoying the first couple months of married life, and we’ll see where it takes us.”

Kylie Jenner wants more friends

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner has been “trying to find a bigger circle of friends” since her best friend Jordyn Woods locked lips with Tristan Thompson.
The 21-year-old reality star was left stuck in the middle when Jordyn – whom she has been friends with for several years – admitted to kissing Tristan, the then-boyfriend of Kylie’s half-sister Khloe Kardashian, at a party last month, and sources have now said Kylie is trying to branch out and find new friends.
An insider told People magazine: “Kylie has had a rough few weeks. She is still upset about the Jordyn situation, although she seems to be doing much better.
“She has been socialising more and trying to find a bigger circle of friends that she can be close with. After the Jordyn drama, she realised that relying on just one friend is not the best idea.”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star wasn’t under any “pressure” from her family to cut Jordyn off, as they are letting her make her own decisions.
Another source said: “It’s still a tricky situation for Kylie. And no one is actually putting too much pressure on her. Her family is aware that she is in contact with Jordyn. They are letting Kylie figure things out for herself.”
Following news of Jordyn’s lip lock with Tristan – who has 11-month-old daughter True with Khloe – the model, also 21, moved out of Kylie’s home, and while it was reported they were “barely communicating”, they were spotted grabbing breakfast together earlier this month at Pedalers Fork restaurant in Calabasas, California.
A source said of their reconciliation meeting: “It seemed very casual and they both were having a discussion together while eating.”

Perla Navia: My sex room makes Fifty Shades look tame

OHMYGOSSIP — Perla Navia says her “graphic” S&M room makes ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ “look tame in comparison”.
The ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star revealed that she and her “submissive” husband Jonathan Barton have home dedicated to sadism and masochism and Perla, 42, insisted it’s their “happy room” where she gets “all her anxiety out”.
In an interview with The Daily Star newspaper, she said: “It’s graphic. It’s our happy room and where my husband is my submissive. It’s where I get all my anxiety out. ‘Fifty Shades’ is tame in comparison. In fact when I watched ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ I knew it was built by someone not into S&M. Some elements of it where put in the wrong place. ”
The Colombian beauty went on to explain that she and her husband never sleep in the same room after partaking in S&M and admitted that inflicting pain on her husband is her “personal high” and she enjoys it due to the “trauma” she has faced in the past.
She said: “I had a lot of trauma growing up and that made me develop a sense for pain that’s how S&M came into my life and that’s how I get my personal high. We have a bedroom together as well but when we use the room, we don’t sleep together in the same room. That’s what every couple with an S&M room does. There’s no cuddling afterwards but that’s what worlds for me.”
Perla added that since embarking on the reality show, she feels “more important” than Jonathan as she’s doing something “quite credible”.
She said: “Finally I am more important than my husband. He was the company man and the one with the brains and I was the housewife. Now he looks at me and thinks I’m doing something quite credible.”

Teri Hatcher thought Agnes Brown was a real person

OHMYGOSSIP — Teri Hatcher thought Agnes Brown was a real “elderly lady” when she was a guest on ‘All Round To Mrs. Brown’s’.
The 54-year-old actress is a guest on the new series of BBC One talk show – which is inspired by sitcom ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ – on which the stars are accompanied by their mothers.
And Brendan O’Carroll – who plays the foul-mouthed Irish matriarch – has revealed that the former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star was confused when she met him out of character backstage as she thought Mrs. Brown was an actual person.
Brendan said: “I went to her dressing room to say ‘hi’ before the show and I knocked and I said ‘Hi Teri, I’ll see you out on the floor, I’ll be out there doing the show with you.’ And she went, ‘OK’. So I think she thought I was the floor manager then when she saw me in the kitchen she goes, ‘You look familiar!’ ”
Brendan’s wife Jennifer Gibney – who plays Agnes’ daughter Cathy Brown on the series – can remember Teri having a “respectful” conversation with Mrs. Brown on the kitchen set much to her amusement looking on.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ (19.03.19), Jennifer said: “When Teri was in the kitchen with Agnes, she was having a respectable conversation with an older woman and then revealed something she’d never revealed before because she was talking to this elderly woman.”
The cast of ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ is almost entirely made up of Brendan’s family members, such as Eilish O’Carroll (Winnie) who is the actor’s sister and his daughter Fiona O’Carroll (Maria) among others, and although people think it would be difficult working with your family all the time he and Jennifer love it because it means they are always with them when they do their live tours.
Jennifer said: “We’re really lucky. In the last Christmas special we had four of our six grandsons – we had Jamie, Felix, Eli and we had Blake. So we had four of the grandsons in the show.”
Brendan added: “Actually it’s fantastic. We have a great chemistry and a great love and we do have spats but they last like that. But when we’re on tour we get to see each other every day.”

Ben Bailey Smith would love to be a Disney dog

OHMYGOSSIP — New Disney Channel star Ben Bailey Smith says if he was a dog he would be a pampered pooch that’s carried everywhere.
The 41-year-old actor-and-comedian – whose rap stage name is Doc Brown – voices both Sid Squirrel and Spencer Sausage Dog in new Disney Channel animated series ‘101 Dalmatian Street’ and admitted that if he could pick to be any canine he would choose to be a “pedigree lap” dog who can “get away without walking” and eats “very luxury foods”.
He said: “If I was a dog, I would be anyone of those pedigree laps, any type of dog that can essentially get away without walking, be carried, dressed up, fed very, very upgrade luxury foods – I’d be one of those. Not a fighting dog or a walking or a running dog, definitely not.”
‘101 Dalmatian Street’ is inspired by Dodie Smith’s 1956 novel and Walt Disney’s beloved 1961 film ‘101 Dalmatians’. The series sees the characters re-imagined for the 21st century and is set in modern day London in Camden.
Ben is joined in the UK voice cast by Paloma Faith, Miriam Margolyes, Tameka Empson and Bethan Wright.
‘Silicon Valley’ actor Josh Brener and Michaela Dietz voice the dogs Dylan and Dolly, the eldest Dalmatian siblings, and the show follows their adventures along with the pooches’ parents Doug and Delilah and the other 97 puppies, whose names also begin with ‘D’.
Ben – who has starred in comedy film ‘David Brent: Life on the Road’, ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Cleaning Up’ – admits it was his dream come true to work on a Disney project and he got his voices for each character by studying the drawings.
He said: “When I was a small child, my dream was to voice cartoons and to one-day voice animated movies. It was the first thing I ever wanted to do and I never actually believed that I’d ever do it.
“With the characters, you see a picture of them and then you get a sense of whether they have a big burly voice or a little tiny voice, high pitch, low pitch and then from there you just play around.
“It’s important at that point to have other people in the room who can give their opinion. So something like this, it’s a comedy; you can do various silly things and see what sticks. Also you can do one really silly voice, try it out and it’s funny for a moment and you realise a hundred episodes later that it’s just really annoying.
“So that initial process is quite important, but it’s also one of the most fun parts as anything could work. It might not, but it might and that’s quite an exciting thing to be part of.”
‘101 Dalmatian Street’ airs on Disney Channel, Monday to Thursday at 5pm.

Soon, she’ll be off to university, and that’s even harder. It’s more difficult later in life because you’re more set in your ways. You get used to having a little person around.
