Alex Miller had suicidal thoughts after Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Miller had suicidal thoughts after ‘Love Island’.
The 28-year-old reality TV star went “through a dark patch” after he appeared on the ITV2 show last year, admitting he used to imagine himself driving into bridges.
Speaking on FUBAR Radio show ‘Access All Areas with Lizzie Cundy and Stephen Leng’, he said: “I did go through a dark patch where I would look at bridges and think ‘Yeah, I could drive into that’.
“I was in a dark place [after the show]. It was winter time, there was a lot of factors coming up, knowing that everything was sort of coming to an end like getting back into the old routine in the job.
“Everything has died a death, you’ve fallen off the cliff of reality fame. It’s not what it is cracked up to be.”
Fortunately, Alex – who left the show after Megan Barton Hanson picked to be with Wes Nelson over him during a recoupling – was put back on the right track as one of the ‘Love Island’ producers spotted one of his social media rants and pointed him in the direction of a psychiatrist.
He recalled: “I had a little rant on Instagram. I went through a bit of a dark patch and luckily one of the producers who follow me on Instagram saw the rant got in touch with me and put me back in touch with a psychiatrist.
“Looking back, all I needed to do was be forward and go talk to them.”
Alex’s comments come after former ‘Love Island’ star Mike Thalassitis was found dead in woodland near his home in Essex last week, and his tragic death has sparked concerns about the well-being of reality TV stars.

James May building new £3m superhome

OHMYGOSSIP — James May is bulldozing two properties to build a £3 million super-mansion.
The 56-year-old TV presenter is building a spectacular new pad complete with a big garage so he can house his collection of 40 motorbikes and luxury cars, which include a Rolls-Royce, limited edition Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 and Fiat Panda.
James is expected to move back into the home with his partner Sarah Frater when it is ready in around 12 months.
The ‘Grand Tour’ co-host got planning permission to build his new plush property and his neighbours have been pleased he has consulted them about his plans.
His next-door-neighbour Cathy Lewis told MailOnline: “James has been really good and given us lots of information.
“This will be really good for our street, will be a big improvement on what was there before and the designs are sympathetic to the area.
“We know it will take a long time with a lot of disruption, but so far, the builders have been great. The new house will look fabulous.”
Another neighbour added: “I couldn’t wish for a better neighbour than James. He is a delight and has involved us all at every step of the way.”
Work began on the house in October – when the majority of buildings were knocked down – and builders on the job say they have been “making good progress”.
One workman said: “This is a massive job. It will take more than a year to finish, but we are making good progress.
“We are trying hard to be nice to the neighbours and James is a delight to work for.”

Joe Wicks grew up with drug addict dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Wicks grew up in a “dysfunctional household” with a dad who was a drug addict.
The 32-year-old fitness coach says his father Gary was always “in and out of rehab” when he was a youngster, but he is now clean and preparing to run the London Marathon next month.
He said: “My dad was a drug addict from a very young age, so he was in and out of rehab when I was a kid.
“He’s been through the 12-step programme God knows how many times, but he’s clean today, which is the most important thing, and he’s doing the London Marathon this year.
“I grew up in a dysfunctional household. I grew up on a council estate, but I still had a roof over my head, we still had food, I went on school trips. I wasn’t completely deprived.”
While Joe insists his dad’s demons weren’t the reason he turned to a life of healthy living, he has learnt a lot through his father’s “mistakes”.
He said: “It made me understand how damaging drugs can be to a family and someone you love, so I learned through his mistakes.”
But Joe – who is known as The Body Coach – insists he doesn’t have any “resentment” towards his dad’s former drug taking because he prefers to look to the future.
He added to Happiful magazine: “I don’t live with judgement or resentment, I don’t have time for it.
“My mum and dad have gone through therapy for so many years, and I always think, ‘If you keep looking back, what are you doing today? How are you going to feel good today?’
“I love my mum for raising us, and I love my dad for teaching me what to avoid. I really believe you need to have some challenges in life, because you come out of it, and are better for it.”
Joe has been getting stuck into a new challenge of his own of late after becoming a father to daughter Indie, seven months, who he shares with fiancée Rosie Jones, and he is learning new things about parenting all the time.
He said: “One thing I learn is to be patient and know that that baby is just learning about the world.
“They may be crying, they don’t know what’s going on, just cuddle them and you know just be patient and let them find out where they are and what’s going on, they’ve been in the cuddly womb for so long.”

Mark Strong believes audience will ’empathise’ with Shazam! villain

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Strong thinks audiences will “empathise” with his villainous ‘Shazam!’ character Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
The 55-year-old actor admitted that one of his favourite things about playing the bad guy in the latest DC Extended Universe film was “getting to have a back story” and he is sure that viewers will have more understanding of his character’s motives to do evil because they have seen that.
When asked what his favourite thing about the role was during a Q&A and screening of the movie at the BFI Southbank in London, he said: “I think it was getting to fly, firing electricity out of my hands getting to have a back-story which is kind of interesting.
“I had a lot of fun actually villains get great threads, they get great lines and like I say you learn a little bit about him as a young boy so even if you can’t understand him you can kind of empathise with where he’s coming from.”
Zachary Levi – who stars as the titular hero – previously praised the film’s director David Sandberg for bringing “gravity” to the movie because of the way he has handled the story arc.
The Swedish filmmaker is best known for his work in horror and the actor thinks his director’s background stopped the saga – about an orphan boy and his super-powered adult alter ego – from getting “silly” as he was able to keep the story “grounded”.
Zachary said: “I think what he brings is the same types of tools and skill-sets that help him to make a great horror film, which is a good command of the camera and storytelling and he’s painting really beautiful frames.
“And also making sure there’s a gravity to the film which is very much needed to balance out the levity.
The new film focuses on teenage boy Billy Baston (Asher Angel) who is made the ‘Champion of Eternity’ after being bestowed his powers by an ancient wizard and can become a super-powered adult by saying the magic word “Shazam” – an acronym of the ancient world gods and historical figures: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury.
The movie opens worldwide on April 5.

Producers cut nude scene from Rocketman to lower age rating

OHMYGOSSIP — Producers have cut a nude scene from ‘Rocketman’ so it will have a lower age rating.
Bosses requested that director Dexter Fletcher cut a 40-second scene from the Elton John biopic in which Taron Egerton as the musician and Richard Madden as Elton’s manager John Reid are lying together naked on a bed so it can achieve the American rating PG 13 – equivalent to a British 12A.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Two guys have a naked cuddle to express their love for each other and that will be reduced to a fully dressed warm hello. The world knows Elton’s gay it’s no secret.”
The publication also claimed that Elton himself was keen for his wild life and career to be told accurately on the big screen and insisted filmmakers could “Tell it all. Go as G-rated as you need to”.
Despite earning plaudits from people who have seen him as the ‘Rocketman’ singer, Taron, 29, has confessed that he doesn’t want to know” when the musician watches the film but he does really want Elton, 71, to be pleased with his portrayal of him.
Speaking on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, he previously said: “He’s so universally loved, and I just want to make him happy really. Just getting over the pressure of it and having a good time.”
Host James then inquired as to when Elton will see it, and Taron quickly laughed and replied: “I don’t want to know!”
Music producer Giles Martin previously revealed that his friend Elton is more than happy with Taron’s takes on his most famous songs for the film, even though he hasn’t yet seen the final edit of the movie.
Giles – who worked on the music on the upcoming movie – revealed: “Elton said, ‘I don’t think I have heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron.’ And the great thing about Elton, he wants Taron’s interpretation for the songs.”

Robbie Williams wants to become chat show host

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams wants to follow in James Corden’s footsteps and become a chat show host.
The ‘Let Me Entertain Show’ hitmaker has admitted becoming a judge on ‘The X Factor’ has given him a taste for television, and he’d love to get the chance to take the ‘Late Late Show’ host’s lead by pursuing a new career fronting his own programme.
Speaking on an Instagram live stream, Robbie said: “James Corden is incredibly talented. I’m going to go into TV, ‘X Factor’ has opened a few doors and James is my sort of inspiration for what I’m planning to be able to do. He makes it look so easy.”
Although Robbie, 45, kept quiet on any potential plans, Idris Elba could be an obvious choice for his first guest after he admitted the talented star is his “man crush”.
He added: “I have met Idris and he’s easy to have a man crush on. He’s everything you’d expect and want from Idris Elba. He’s just smooth and lovely and cool.”
Unlike Robbie’s fellow Brit James – who originally starred in BBC sitcom ‘Gavin and Stacey’ – he has never managed to match the success he’s enjoyed in his native UK Stateside.
While the singer – who has been enjoying his first residency in Las Vegas – previously “gave up” and enjoyed his anonymity in the US, he recently admitted he’s now focused on cracking the country.
He said: “I spent years trying to break America and then I just gave up and thought, ‘I can come here unrecognised.’
“But now I’ve changed my mind. I want everyone in America to know my name. I want Jennifer Aniston to know who I am.”
Robbie, who has a house in Los Angeles, has admitted taking on the residency was a “no-brainer” because it has always been something he dreamed of.
He said: “This is a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. This is what I’ve always wanted to do. I love Vegas. I live 35 minutes away by plane.
“I can come here, bring my kids and perform in this city – which always seemed like the centre of showbiz to me, because I grew up listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra.
“These were the guys my dad wanted to be like, and I wanted to be like my dad, so Vegas was where it was at.”

Barbra Streisand believes Michael Jackson’s Leaving Neverland accusers

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand believes Michael Jackson’s accusers but said she partly blames their parents.
The 76-year-old star – who once turned down an offer to collaborate with the late singer – has opened up on the HBO documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ in which James Safechuck and Wade Robson claim that Michael sexually abused both of them after befriending them when they were children.
Speaking to The Times, she said: “His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has.
“You can say “molested”, but those children, as you heard say [the grown-up Robson and Safechuck], they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.
“It’s a combination of feelings. I feel bad for the children. I feel bad for him. I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him. Why would Michael need these little children dressed like him and in the shoes and the dancing and the hats?”
Barbra’s comments come after the ‘Billie Jean’ hitmaker’s daughter Paris Jackson insisted it’s not her “role” to publicly defend her late father from James and Wade’s shocking accusations.
The 20-year-old actress took to Twitter to explain why she hasn’t commented on ‘Leaving Neverland’.
Responding to a fan on the micro-blogging site, she wrote: “There’s nothing i can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense.
“Taj [Jackson] is doing a perfect job on his own. and i support him. but that’s not my role. i’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. that’s me. (sic)”
While Paris praised her cousin Taj Jackson, 45, for speaking out in defence of his uncle and explained her own silence on the issue, she did tell another follower that she shares her father’s “moral compass”.
She tweeted: “I have the same moral compass as my father, but not the level of patience. i’ll fight for love n peace in the same way, but i am more aggressively driven. i don’t sit by idly when i see injustices happen, especially when they’re directed towards me or my family. f**k that noise (sic)”
In Dan Reed’s ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary, Wade – who testified under oath in Michael’s 2005 child sex abuse trial that the musician never abused him – claims that he was molested by the singer from the age of seven until 14.
James – who previously testified on Michael’s behalf when he was accused of sexual abuse in 1993 – claimed he was abused from the age of 10 until he reached puberty.
The Michael Jackson estate has hit back at the allegations branding both accusers “perjurers” and “admitted liars”.

Richard E Grant says some stars looked like wax works at Oscars

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard E Grant says some Hollywood stars looked like Madame Tussaud’s wax work models at the Oscars.
The 61-year-old actor admitted he was so starstruck at the prestigious ceremony last month and couldn’t help but take selfies with some of his favourite stars, even if some of their cosmetic enhancements meant they looked less lifelike.
Speaking at an Advertising Week Europe event in London, he laughed: “It’s an extraordinary thing, being at the actual Oscars is like being at Madame Tussaud’s live.”
“Except some people do literally look like waxworks, from whichever angle you look. Seeing all these people that you’ve admired or newly admire all in one room… was a real pinch yourself thing.”
Richard’s fanboy antics at the ceremony – where he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor prize – was described by one critic as a “wily crocodile-eyed old veteran trying to secure more last minute votes”.
However, the star – who attended the ceremony with his daughter Olivia – insisted it was actually closer to “a six year old trapped in a 61-year-old body”.
He explained: “I had psychoanalysis when I was 41. He said I was emotionally stuck at 17 years old. So long as you are not hurting or murdering anyone, stay in that zone.”
Although the ‘Can You Forgive Me?’ actor missed out on an award at the ceremony, he was overjoyed to meet his childhood hero Barbra Streisand.
In a series of tweets after the Academy Awards, he wrote: “Being Oscar nominated was pretty amazing, but meeting with @barbrastreisand and having a proper conversation was an absolute astonishment. 40 carat Gold … Suitably blurry-eyed selfie with @BarbraStreisand who was EVERYTHING I’d hoped, expected & dreamt she’d be. QUEEN BEE (sic)”
Richard has been a fan of Barbra since he was 14-years-old, when he penned a sweet letter to the famous singer.
He wrote on Twitter: “As a lifelong fan of someone you’ll understand what it meant for me to take this snap outside the home of @BarbraStreisand Asked Security for permission & he replied, ‘It’s a public road, but thanks for asking’. Wrote her this letter when I was 14. My wife is very understanding! (sic)”

Roseanne Barr: Sara Gilbert destroyed my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Roseanne Barr says Sara Gilbert “destroyed” her life.
The 66-year-old actress was accused of racism over a tweet comparing Valerie Jarrett – a senior adviser to former US President Barack Obama – to an ape last year, leading to her sitcom ‘Roseanne’ was subsequently cancelled and she thinks her former co-star is partly to blame after posting to condemn the remarks.
Speaking to the Washington Post, she said: “She destroyed the show and my life with that tweet. She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with fine Chianti.”
Just half an hour before US network ABC announced it was cancelling ‘Roseanne’, Sara tweeted to distance herself from Barr’s controversial posts.
She described them as “abhorrent” and said they “do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show”.
Now, Sara has responded to Roseanne’s latest comments on the matter, and admitted she is “heartbroken” by the way everything unfolded.
She added to The Post: “While I’m extremely disappointed and heartbroken over the dissolution of the original show, she will always be family, and I will always love Roseanne.”
Following the cancellation of ‘Roseanne’, ABC have established spin-off show ‘The Conners’, which features all her former castmates reprising their roles following the death of her character, and the actress isn’t happy with the programme or the network.
She previously said: “They think because they killed me it’s OK to use me, use the memory of me. Still mention me. It’s still my show, but they stole it. They are going to do it to other comics. I’m just the first.
“[ABC told me] if I do one more thing they don’t like, they’ll remove my reruns for ever. And I said, ‘Could you define what the one more thing is?’ and they won’t.
“It’s a total Stalinist censorship. I’m known for free speech and also bringing free speech into a family context with the conversations I had on my show. They don’t want none of that no more. They only want pliable servants. I’m not that. I’m not a slave.”

David Easter opens up about 20-year depression battle

OHMYGOSSIP — David Easter has opened up about his 20-year battle with depression, and urged employers to “do more” for people with mental and physical disabilities.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – whose character Mac Nightingale was killed off this week – has suffered from clinical depression for the past two decades, and he wants to encourage bosses to help others in the same situation.
He said: “I apologise for some of my tweets. I suffer from clinical depression. I was diagnosed 20 years ago – it’s a battle.
“It’s a battle I’m going to win, it’s a war I’m going to win.
“I would love everyone to know that employers have to do a lot more for people with any disability, mental and physical.
“You’ve got to do more. Embrace it more, care about it more and love more. Because with love you can do anything.”
David has been “blown away” by the support he has received after his final scenes aired on Hollyoaks’ E4 episode on Wednesday (20.03.19), and he thanked Lime Pictures for the “brilliant” stories he’s had.
He added: “I’ve had so many messages of love and support as the character and as David. I love each and every one of you for it.
“I’m just blown away by it.
“Thank you to everyone at Lime, I miss you. Thank you for all the storylines I’ve had, which have been brilliant.”
David has confirmed he has left the Channel 4 soap forever, despite admitting it would be a “very good idea” for him to return to the village as Mac’s “evil twin”.
He said: “Mac had to go, it was the end of my time. I couldn’t do anymore.
“It’s right to leave the show, and I won’t be back.
“There will be no ghosts, no evil twin, although that’s a very good idea. But it’s never going to happen.”
Mac was bumped off by serial killer Breda McQueen, who is played by Moya Brady, after she poisoned his lasagne, and he praised the “magical” actress for being “so amazing” in his final scenes.
Speaking in a video on his Twitter account, he added: “I want to thank Moya for being so amazing in killing me off.
“It was a fantastic scene and she’s such a lovely, funny lady. I love her. She’s magical.”

The EDM superstar dropped the Korean version, which he composed, arranged and produced, last month, and felt it deserved to be heard all around the globe.
The single, which is about redefining “what love and relationships look like” in modern times, is the ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker’s fourth K-pop collaboration.
Aoki – who had a hit with ‘Waste It On Me’ with Korean superstars BTS – said: “Monsta X is one of those powerhouse groups that sets the bar very high.

Lisa Vanderpump hesitant to go under the knife

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Vanderpump has always been hesitant about cosmetic surgery.
The 58-year-old reality TV star is “reticent” about going under the knife despite having fillers and Botox regularly with her A-list physician Dr. Simon Ourian.
Speaking during an episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Reunion Secrets Revealed’, she said: “I’m on television, and I’m 58 years old. My skin would not look as good as it does were it not for Dr. Simon Ourian.
“I’ve always been a bit reticent really to go under the knife. But the way things have changed, I don’t think it’s necessary. Well, none of it is necessary, clearly.”
Lisa – who wed restaurateur Ken Todd in 1982 – has owned 35 restaurants, bars and clubs with her beau, and the star explained that she doesn’t “have time” to go under the knife and stay home whilst she recovers because her hectic schedule wouldn’t allow it.
She added: “I’m on camera — I’ve got three shows on the air, I’m in the restaurant every night. You could document me every day pretty much for the past eight years. I don’t have time for that downtime.”
But the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star says that if you don’t like something about your appearance, then you should take the plunge and do what makes you happy.
She admitted: “Don’t tell me about it. Do it! If something about your face makes you unhappy, just do it.”

Alexina Graham named Victoria’s Secret Angel

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexina Graham has been named Victoria’s Secret’s newest Angel.
The 29-year-old model – who walked in the lingerie giant’s prestigious fashion show in New York City last year – has been given her wings as she officially joins recently announced VS model Barbara Palvin and Jasmine Tookes to become their first red-headed catwalk recruit.
The flame-haired beauty admitted that she is feeling a “mixture” of emotions because it still feels so “surreal”.
Speaking to Glamour UK, she said: “Being a Victoria’s Secret’s Angel comes with a lot of empowerment. I think for me being a red head VS Angel means I get to put red heads out there more. Being an angel is part of having that media outreach so that I can say to young red head kids, ‘you can do anything you want! Nothing is impossible!’
“It’s very exciting! It still feels so surreal to be honest, I have been working so hard to get to this moment – it’s a real mixture of feeling emotional, nervous and excited!
” I found out when I was having dinner with one of my best friends, just in a restaurant in Soho, New York. My agent sent me a screenshot of an email saying, ‘you are joining the VS family in 2019!'”
The British model insisted that despite her long struggle with bullies at school, her red locks have become part of her “identity” because it makes her feel “powerful”
She added: “Like most red heads I did get bullied at school because we just stand out. I was this skinny little, geeky thing with no boobs but now I have embraced it as a woman. Having red hair is now a powerful part of my identity. It took me a long time to get here, I have gone through so much in the last ten years both in terms of my career and my life.”
Alexina also explained that the road to becoming a VS Angel was not an easy one because there were many times she wanted to give up.
She said: “Even 5/6 years ago I was talking to my Mum saying, ‘I might leave modelling behind.’ But she was the one who told me, ‘keep going, I know something is going to happen for you,’ and now knowing I have this platform and I can be a role model to red haired children is amazing.
“When I first did the Victoria’s Secret show in Shanghai and I was the first red haired girl to walk in the show since Karen Elson in 2009, I had so many messages from children and one woman said, ‘my child got bullied at school today and I showed her your Instagram to prove that the bullying doesn’t mean anything and you can achieve whatever you put your mind to!’ That meant so much to me.”

The 43-year-old TV presenter is releasing her first clothing collaboration with the high-street chain, and the star revealed that her much-anticipated range came to be when she discussed pyjamas being “accessible” to everyone.
Speaking to Glamour UK, she said: “The funny thing is that I am not a fashion designer – obviously! Next and I have worked together for a couple of years, where I selected my favourite bits and all that jazz.
“One of the first fittings I ever did, Charlotte from Next came over to my house and there I was stood in my knickers and bra saying, ‘I would love to do a range of pyjamas!’ It all started with that! I proceeded to go upstairs, empty all the pyjamas I loved out of my drawers saying, ‘what if it felt like this and was accessible to everyone!’ She just looked at me like, ‘this is the first time I have ever met you!’
“It then turned into this capsule collection where I have designed pieces that I have always wanted.
“I am not always walking around the house in my underwear – she’s just really easy to be around!”
And the pixie-haired beauty – who has children Ace, seven, Trixie, two, and Isabelle, nine, with husband Matt Willis – insisted that the range is “comfortable” and “classic”.
She added: “It’s based around classic pieces that will last and that you can mix and match. The shirt on the pyjamas, for instance, I actually want to wear as a shirt. I have always said if I feel comfortable in clothes, I feel more confident – hence the power suits!”
