Paloma Faith is embracing her ‘sadistic’ Pennyworth character

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith loves the “horrific personality” of her character Bet Sykes in the upcoming DC Comics TV series ‘Pennyworth’.
The 37-year-old singer revealed has been cast as the “sadistic” villain in the EPIX ‘Batman’ prequel and although she her alter ego has many traits that are abhorrent she has “learnt to love” her “not so nice” character .
Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes on ‘This Morning’, Paloma said: “I’m currently filming a series called ‘Pennyworth’, which is a prequel to ‘Gotham’, where I play a character for a whole series so like 10 episodes.
“I’m completely immersed in playing another person called Bet Sykes who’s not that nice but I’m kind of in my weird, sadistic way, learning to love her too. I kind of love this horrible person as well, I’m finding new answers in her horrific personality.”
The series focuses on Thomas Wayne – the father of Bruce Wayne, who as an adult becomes The Caped Crusader – and Alfred Pennyworth, who will be played by Jack Bannon, when they first meet
‘Our Girl’ star Ben Aldridge will portray the young American billionaire Thomas who meets Alfred in London in the 60s and employs the former British SAS soldier’s security firm.
The beginnings of this relationship lead to Alfred – who first appeared in the pages of DC Comics in 1943 – becoming a butler for the Wayne family of the guardian and mentor of young Bruce in the wake of the murder of his parents Thomas and Martha.
‘Crybaby’ hitmaker Paloma – who has a two-year-old child with her long-term partner Leyman Lahcine – has been busy filming her scenes at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, England, and she admits going on set has felt “like a holiday” from motherhood.
She said: “That feels like a holiday because when you’re parents you know you have to be nice all the time. It’s so nice coming to work and being absolutely horrible!”

Drew Barrymore bans kids’ acting for now

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore won’t let her children go into acting just yet.
The ‘Miss You Already’ star isn’t keen for her kids – who has Frankie, four, and Olive, six, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman – to start acting time any soon but she would be “so supportive” if they wanted to follow in her footsteps in their later life.
She said: “I’m not going to let them be kid actors. That’s so not their journey. If they want to be actors later in life, I would be so supportive of it. Can you imagine me being a mom who is pushing her kids out there? That’s not going to happen.”
And the 43-year-old actress’ children are “both very good builders”.
She added to People magazine: “Frankie’s really into Legos right now, which I’m really excited about because I mistakenly thought it was a boy’s toy and it turns out she’s really good at it. Her sister’s really good at Magna-Tiles. They’re both very good builders.”
Meanwhile, Drew previously revealed her daughters want to go into acting.
She said: “They’ve got the Barrymore gene! We went to The Sound of Music, they’re like, ‘I just want up on the stage.’ We go to the Amazing Bubble Show, they’re like, ‘I just want on the stage.’ … That’s where they’re gonna, in the healthiest way, develop who they really know they wanna be. As of today, I would say Olive is a vet and Frankie’s a ballerina.”
Drew has to work away a lot for her job but tries to pitch it to her children in a positive way.
She shared: “It’s all in the tone. I had an enlightened conversation with a girlfriend 10 years ago, and she made me aware, in a few sentences, and then I emulated it for myself in this modern time of my life. Which is if you say, ‘I have to go to work, but you know what? I’ll be back soon,’ to a child, that’s like work is the bad man taking you away from them.”

Saturday Kitchen targeted by prank calls

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Saturday Kitchen’ has been targeted by prank callers asking innuendo-laden questions.
The BBC cookery show, which has been hosted by a range of notable chefs since James Martin’s departure last year – has currently been bombarded by callers posing fake dirty questions which have had viewers in hysterics.
One viewer, Rachel from Surrey, said on the 10am show: “I’ve got some horse chestnuts.
“Every time I bite one, I get a prick in my mouth. Any tips?”
Host Matt Tebbutt then spluttered: “Cook them?” He is then said to have cut her off.
Another call – thought to be the same lady – used a slang term for cannabis and cheekily asked: “What is the best herb to have with a Camberwell Carrot?”
Roger, of Cockermouth, Cumbria, said: “I’ve two massive sackfuls of purple spurting broccoli. I’m looking for a sauce.”
Doug from Hastings, East Sussex, said: “I’ve crabs. I’m looking for a recipe to cure it.”
Fans of the show took to Twitter, amused by the prank callers who had been throwing off the TV presenters.
John Scott Cothill tweeted: “Just had to search Twitter to make sure I wasn’t the only one hearing that. #SaturdayKitchen (sic)”
And Louise Hann tweeted: “They’re all flustered after today’s legend Rachel. I can almost hear the producer in Matt’s eat, ‘Quick, go to VT! Just eat something damn it!’ #saturdaykitchen (sic)”
The rotating hosts of the popular BBC show include the Hairy Bikers, Anna Haugh, Andi Oliver, Glynn Purnell, Michel Roux Jr., Donal Skehan and Matt Tebbutt.
Each show typically includes a host chef and two guests chefs cooking in the studio. They are joined by a celebrity who is usually on the show to promote a forthcoming project.
On this Saturday’s episode (24.11.18) Matt Tebbutt will be joined by chefs Ian Orr and Rene Redzepi and special guest Alfie Boe.

Scott Disick felt pushed away

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Disick felt himself being “drawn further away from the family” when the Kardashians got involved in his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star understands that everybody wants to be “protective” of their family but admits when they got involved, it made it difficult for him to get close to the family and instead it pushed him away.
Speaking on an upcoming episode of the family’s E! reality show, he said: “Everybody wants to be protective of their family. But I think sometimes when people get too caught up when it’s, like, a negative protection and not always being there with the positive … then I think everybody kind of feels, like, attacked. Listen, no matter what you say to somebody, when there’s something happening in their life, it’s not actually going to be taken in. Like, I know back in the day when your mom or Khloe would get involved with me and Kourtney’s stuff, it would only draw us farther away from the family. It never pulled anybody in and made people feel more comforted.”
Meanwhile, Scott apologised to Kourtney – with whom he has Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three – after introducing his girlfriend Sofia Richie to their children.
He said: “Last night when we got home, the kids were there, so of course they met my girlfriend. Kourtney goes, ‘You’re a f***ing joke. You don’t care. We discussed with the therapist that we were going to wait.’ I said, ‘We discussed with the therapist that we were going to wait until after the new year and after the holiday!'”

Prue Leith’s husband loves leftovers

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith’s husband loves her “leftover” meals.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge rediscovered her love for cooking after meeting retired clothes designer John Playfair – who she married in 2016 – and she has opened up about her man’s favourite dish.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (20.11.18): “The thing he likes best is a plate – it is just leftovers.
“I open the fridge on a Sunday night, I look at all that stuff that’s in. There’s a little bit of mayonnaise, whatever’s in there.
“And I put it on biscuits, or in an egg cup, make it look nice – put it on a lettuce leaf, little bites of different things.”
Prue, 78, met her man at a friend’s house, and she admitted getting to cook meals for someone else has made her enjoy food more.
She added: “We did meet each other at somebody else’s house. He is amazing – people call him my toy boy because he’s seven years younger than me.
“He is great, and one of the reasons I’m back to the cooking business is because I have someone to cook for every night.”
After 25 years working on other projects including novels, Prue has also been inspired to write a new cookery book which is titled ‘My All-Time Favourite Recipes’.
Explaining the reason behind the new tome, she said: “In a sense, it was ‘Bake Off’ because I kept finding I was pinching the bakers’ recipes and I was doing what cookery writers always do, which is begin to stack up bits of paper.
“I had sworn for 25 years I wouldn’t write another recipe book because I was writing novels. But then when I realised I had this stack of stuff – I was even nicking recipes from Paul Hollywood – I better write a book.”

Anne Hegerty takes part in I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hegerty fought her biggest fears to take part in her first Bushtucker Trial on ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’.
The 60-year-old television quiz personality – who is nicknamed The Governess – gave the Monstrous Monoliths her best shot, but whilst she only managed to pick up two stars, it was all in all a victory for Anne, who suffers from Asperger’s.
Anne was to be locked up in five different rocks, where she had to enter the codes on the wall into the locks on the Perspex boxes to free the stars. However, being a jungle trial, she wouldn’t be alone in the rocks.
The first one went well, with Anne – who had been covered in slime and fish guts – managing to quickly secure the two stars. However, Anne struggled a bit more in the second one. She was covered in mealworms and other jungle critters and ran out of time whilst trying to collect the third and fourth star.
Once out of the third monolith, Dec asked her if she wanted to “power on”, and after a second, she said: “I’m A Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here. I can’t do it. I’m so sorry.”
However, Dec and his co-host Holly Willoughby were fully supportive of Anne’s decision, with Dec telling her: “You’ve got two stars in that bag. There are plenty of people who have taken on Bushtucker Trials and haven’t even got two.”
Anne then returned to Snake Rock and revealed all what had happened to her fellow campmates, Fleur East, Rita Simons and James McVey.
She told them: “I did the first one in 90 seconds. That was ok. I got two stars. Then it all went pear shaped. Absolutely freak out disgusting. And I came out and I was just covered in gunk and mealworms and I was like no, no more, can’t do it so I shouted I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! Well we got two meals for the other camp. Aren’t they lucky. I really really hope that they’re glad.”
‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! returns on Wednesday night (21.11.18), where John Barrowman will take on the next trial, Scary Rose.

Becky Vardy blasted by I’m A Celebrity bosses over lack of showers

OHMYGOSSIP — Becky Vardy claims she “got a b*****king” for not showering enough on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 36-year-old star took part in the show last year and insisted she didn’t feel pressured to look sexy in a bikini because no one in camp was willing to strip down without prompting, due to it being so cold and wet.
Asked if she felt pressure to look sexy in the shower, she said: “No! We all got a b*****king because we weren’t using the shower enough.
“It was cold, it was peeing it down with rain constantly and I literally got a tick in the back of my neck the first night I got in there.
“And there were leeches everywhere, so no one wanted to strip down into any form of swimwear.”
Becky claimed the show was very heavily controlled and edited and the contestants were even given instructions on what to talk about.
She said: “I was surprised by how edited it is, even down to us walking to the trials. We had to do that walk three or four times.
“Any time that you see people sat around the fire, usually someone’s been called into the Bush Telegraph and comes out with a bit of paper and says, ‘We all need to discuss this topic’.
“If you’re stood where the phone box is and look straight out, it’s all fake. I lost count of how many cameras there are.
“Above your head, the cameras are on zip wires so they follow you everywhere. It’ crazy, it is like ‘Big Brother’, you’re watched and listened to 24 hours a day.”
And the star was “stupidly naive” about the food rations.
She added to heat magazine: “You literally have to be on your last legs to get anything. That was the bit I was quite stupidly naive about.”

Celine Dion loves spending time with her kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion’s favourite part of the day is seeing her children.
The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ hitmaker loves performing but says the best part of her day is being with her kids – René-Charles, 17, and eight-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
She told People magazine: “The highlight of my day is always being with my children … Even though my young sons are twins, they are so different. If one likes to wear a certain shirt, the other one wants something completely different. They’re searching for their own individuality. It’s important for their emotional growth.”
Meanwhile, Celine previously revealed she is “proud” of her sons every day.
Marking the twins’ eighth birthday, she shared on Instagram: “My sweet boys, you are turning 8 today and you make me proud every day. I love you with all my heart and wish you a very happy birthday! – Mom xx (sic)”
And Celine recently revealed hat she sleeps in the same bed as her twin sons to stop herself feeling “lonely” following the death of her husband René Angélil.
She explained: “I organise myself to not feel lonely. So I got myself a huge, huge, huge bed and I sleep with my twins. They are comforting me a lot. I need them. I need them close. And when it’s time for them to say they want their room, their room’s ready. But we watch a lot of TV together. I’m discovering Disney.
“They’re really well because I’m strong. I’m sounding pretentious but if I don’t show them the way, they will question it. Papa is not coming back but Papa is in your heart. We kiss him every night. We have a little ritual where we say goodnight to him with a little picture. Then the kids talk to him. And they write words, put them in balloons and we send the balloons to the sky.”

The 43-year-old retired basketball star has been dating the stunning singer for two years now and are very loved up, but he fears his luck could run out with his 49-year-old partner.
After ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter Piers Morgan gushed over how “utterly” beautiful J-Lo is, her man laughed: “I just hope she doesn’t wake up and say, ‘OK, your time is up, get out!’ ”
His comments follow reports A-Rod has put his own four bedroom Hollywood Hills West home up for sale at $6.5 million, months after the couple bought a $15.3 million luxury apartment in New York City.
Meanwhile, the former sportsman recently revealed he wants to do something “creative” for his partner to mark the festive period, rather than “going out and buying something expensive”.
Speaking about the potential Christmas gift, he said: “It has to be something creative. I can’t just go out and buy something expensive.
“For Jennifer, something that is handwritten or maybe is a photo – I don’t want to give any secrets away for this holiday. It’s something that is heartfelt. It is something that resembles a memory that we’ve had together that involves our children or involves our home. Ultimately, that’s what it is all about.”
Jennifer previously revealed she feels as though she’s developed a more mature attitude towards her relationships over the years.
She said: “When we met, we’d both already done a lot of work on ourselves. Everybody has flaws, and the people I want in my life are the people who recognise that and are willing to work on those flaws. It’s super-important: someone who’s willing to look at themselves and say, ‘OK, I’m not great here’ or ‘I could do better there.'”

Margot Robbie unveils full Birds of Prey title

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie has unveiled the full title of the standalone Harley Quinn movie.
The 28-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (20.11.18) to reveal the upcoming DC Comics movie will be called ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’.
Posting a photo of the front of the script, Margot simply captioned it with a smiley face.
Warner Bros. confirmed the movie’s title on their Twitter page and also reiterated that the release date has currently been set for February 7, 2020.
The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star is set to produce the movie, which is expected to feature a villain that has never before appeared on the big screen in a DC movie whilst Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya will be the main players in Harley Quinn’s girl gang in the blockbuster. The project is being directed by Cathy Yan.
Margot first pitched the idea of a Harley Quinn spin-off film in 2015, and she’s spent the last few years developing a clear idea for the project.
She previously explained: “I pitched the idea of an R-rated girl gang film including Harley, because I was like, ‘Harley needs friends.’ Harley loves interacting with people, so don’t ever make her do a standalone film. She’s got to be with other people, it should be a girl gang. I wasn’t seeing enough girl gangs on screen, especially in the action space. So that was always a big part of it.”

Taylor Swift signs with Universal Music Group

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has signed a new global recording agreement with Universal Music Group.
The 28-year-old pop superstar has put pen to paper on a multi-year agreement which will see Universal (UMG) act as the exclusive worldwide recorded music partner for Swift, whilst UMG’s Republic Records will serve as her label partner in America.
Announcing the news in an Instagram post to her 113 followers, Taylor wrote: “I’m ecstatic to announce that my musical home will be Republic Records and Universal Music Group … It’s really important to me to see eye to eye with a label regarding the future of our industry. I feel so motivated by new opportunities created by the streaming world and the ever changing landscape of our industry … I also feel strongly that streaming was founded on and continues to thrive based on the magic created by artists, writers and producers.”
The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ hitmaker also praised Universal Music Group chairman/CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and Republic founder/CEO Monte Lipman as “incredible partners”.
And Grainge was fulsome in his praise for Taylor, saying in a statement: “Few artists in history approach Taylor Swift’s combination of massive global hits and creative brilliance. She is so multi-talented, she can achieve anything. I have such enormous respect for Taylor, in particular for her use of her hard-earned influence to promote positive change. Because of her commitment to her fellow artists, not only did she want to partner with a company that understood her creative vision and had the resources and expertise to execute globally on her behalf, she also sought a partner whose approach to artists was aligned with hers. With these shared beliefs, there is so much we can accomplish together, and all of us at UMG are enormously proud to be embarking on the next chapter of her career alongside her.”
Lipman added: “Taylor has not only captured the imagination of an entire generation, but has also redefined the paradigm of the modern music industry. Her commitment to songwriting and performing has earned her the respect of her peers and millions of adoring fans around the world. I can only imagine what Taylor is capable of achieving in the years to come, both culturally and creatively.
An interesting condition of the deal is that Taylor insisted that should Universal sell any of its shares in Spotify it will “result in a distribution of money to their artists, non-recoupable”.
Speaking about the clause, she said: “They have generously agreed to this, at what they believe will be much better terms than paid out previously by major labels. I see this as a sign that we are headed towards positive change for creators – a goal I’m never going to stop trying to help achieve.”
This follows Taylor’s stance against Apple Music, which prompted the company to change its policy not to pay royalties to artists or labels during its initial three-month free trial period.
The singer/songwriter also previously refused to allow streaming services such as Spotify to host her music in a protest about the level of royalty payments for musicians but she did allow her songs to be streamed from June 2017.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has bought her mom her “dream home”.
The ‘Money Bag’ rapper took to Instagram on Monday (19.11.18) to share videos of the fancy New York abode, which she has saved up for over a year to purchase.
In the first clip, in which she shows off the shiny new kitchen, she says: “Last year I was so thirsty to buy my mama a home, and I could only afford a house that cost $600,000.
“You know, we live in New York, so a price that looked like that look like s**t.
“I waited, I waited, I waited, I waited til I could afford a dream home, and I copped it.”
The property boasts a large bathroom and a gym, and Cardi admitted she was excited for her four-month-old daughter Kulture – whom she has with husband Offset – to come and stay.
She said: “When my daughter visits her grandma’s house, she gonna come here.”
The 26-year-old star – who is estimated to be worth around $8 million – admitted that while it was always a “childhood dream” to buy her mom a luxury pad of her own, she’s now got to use her salary to pay “big girls bills”.
She captioned the post: “Stay down till you come up !Its always been a dream to buy my mother a house .Last year i was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones i was interested for her weren’t at my price range .I worked and worked and now I’m here !! Thank you everybody who supported me to make my childhood dreams come true! Buy my momma a house !!…..don’t ask me for shit motherf**kers i got big girls bills (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker recently revealed she thinks her daughter is starting to resemble her younger sister, Hennessy Carolina, 22.
She wrote on Twitter: “Ok my daughter started to look like me not so long ago now she lookin like Henny again (sic)”

David Beckham reminisces on ‘special’ trip to Oz

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham’s trip to Australia was extra “special” because he was with his children.
The 43-year-old retired soccer star – who has sons Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 13, and daughter Harper, seven, with his wife Victoria Beckham – and his spouse recently took their three youngest kids Down Under and had a great time enjoying all of the “touristy” sights of the country.
Speaking to AIA Vitality Australia about his trip, David said: “This time I was able to bring my kids.
“My kids obviously had never been to Australia before, so we’d done all the touristy stuff. I took the boys and we climbed the [Sydney Harbour] Bridge. We did all the touristy things.
“They had a lot of fun and so did I. To introduce them to a new culture, to a new country, was very special.
“I’ve been to some great restaurants here. The coffee’s really good here, and people have been amazing, so it’s been a really, really good trip.”
While on their trip to Australia – which they undertook as part of David’s role as an ambassador for the Invictus Games, a competition for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans – the family visited Bondi Beach, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and made a surprise visit to Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures, where they enjoyed quad biking and abseiling.
The facility revealed on their Instagram account: “The *other* British royal family, the Beckhams, took some time out on their visit to Australia for the Invictus Games to enjoy a day of quad biking and abseiling at Glenworth Valley together with 3 of their 4 children today.
“David, Victoria and three of their children enjoyed a day of adventure with an adrenaline-charged abseiling experience followed by a ride through Glenworth Valley’s bush trails and purpose-built circuit on our quad biking adventure. They even assisted our team with feeding some of our new Spring foals.
“Our team certainly enjoyed hosting the Beckhams. The family were incredibly down-to-earth, friendly and appreciative and all thoroughly enjoyed their day with us (sic)”
Ahead of the trip, Victoria had spoken of how excited she was to have the opportunity to enjoy being in the country.
She said: “The only time I’ve been there before was with the Spice Girls, 24 hours in Sydney and Melbourne
“When you’re young and travelling the world like that, you’d sit in your hotel room and watch TV. When you’re older, you want to get out and see things.”

The ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star has had a rough week after he returned home from his uncle’s funeral to find his house had flooded, and after praising his girlfriend Paige Price for helping him through the traumatic experience, he has now decided to take their relationship to the next level, as he’s asked her to marry him.
Posting a series of pictures of the couple on Instagram on Monday (19.11.18), Paige wrote: “When you’re a little girl, you dream of marrying the man of your dreams. As of the time of writing, Frankie himself has not posted on Instagram or Twitter to confirm the news of his engagement.
The 32-year-old actor previously shared his devastation on Twitter when he returned to his home to find that his pet cat had accidentally turned on a sink, causing his whole house to flood.
He wrote: “I arrived home from my uncle’s funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water. Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture. All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone.
“I’m devastated and exhausted from a tough week with the loss of my Uncle Skip, 45 hours of travel to and from France to walk in to find this disaster. I’ve cried more yesterday and today then my whole life combined. Forgive me for venting. I just need some support.”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shares 100-piece sushi meal

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson “greedily” ate over 100 pieces of sushi for his “Sunday cheat meal”.
The 46-year-old WWE wrestler-turned-actor is no stranger to sharing his weekly cheat foods with his loyal followers on social media, however the ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ star vowed to take “gluttony” to “new levels” with the Japanese feast he had set out to enjoy while watching a Netflix documentary on Johnny Cash and disgraced former president Richard Nixon, ‘ReMastered: Tricky Dick & The Man in Black’.
Dwayne wrote on Instagram: “The cheat meal Sunday Sushi Train rolled on this past weekend with some power and a ton of that wooosabi.
“Great new doc on Netflix about one of my fav country artists, the icon himself, Johnny Cash. I wear the black for the poor and beaten down.. livin’ in the hopeless, hungry side of town.
“If you ain’t eatin’ – then you ain’t cheatin’. Enjoy your cheat meals my friends and excuse me while I take greed and gluttony to new levels. #FilthyAnimal #SooshTrain (sic)”
The former WWE superstar is currently filming a ‘Fast and Furious 8’ spin-off, ‘Hobbs and Shaw,’ alongside pal Jason Statham.
The spin-off will continue from 2017’s ‘The Fate of the Furious’ and see Johnson play agent Luke Hobbs and team up with assassin Deckard Shaw (Statham) to fight Idris Elba, who will play the film’s as-yet unnamed villain.
‘Fast and Furious’ scriptwriter Chris Morgan is penning the ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ film and although it will contain the “original DNA” of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise but still maintain their own “take on the Fast universe”.
In October, Johnson posted a picture of him and Statham sitting opposite each other and captioned the post: “We either gonna get along or we gonna get it on. F**k getting along (devil emoticon).
“Great first week of shooting our Fast & Furious spin-off, “HOBBS & SHAW” with my ace @jasonstatham. We’re havin’ a blast disrupting the norm to deliver something fresh, cool, fun and bad a** for the fans.” (sic)

Jada Pinkett Smith: I had to pull a knife on aggressive boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith once allegedly had to “pull a knife” on a “really aggressive” boyfriend.
The 47-year-old actress – who is now married to Will Smith, with whom she has son Jaden, 20, and daughter Willow, 18 – has claimed that she’s been “emotionally abused” in relationships in the past, but even had one former partner become so angry with her, that she alleges she had to grab a kitchen knife and “hide in his son’s room” for safety.
Speaking on Monday’s (19.11.18) episode of her Facebook Watch show ‘Red Table Talk’, she said: “I’ve definitely been in relationships that have been emotionally abusive. I think emotional violence is really prevalent.”
The ‘Girl’s Trip’ star then turned to her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and added: “You remember that one incident I had with that one guy I was dating where I had to pull a knife out on him?
“[We were leaving a restaurant] and he had been drinking and he was driving. He started getting really aggressive in the car. Thank goodness I knew where I was and I knew how to get out of the car and get to the house. I ran to the house. I had to take my clothes off, take off my heels. I always travel with a black Russell hoodie and black Russell sweats.
“I remember jumping in that sweatsuit, grabbing a big ol’ knife from the kitchen and hiding in his son’s room. I’ll never forget.”
Jada alleges the former boyfriend then snuck in through the back door to his home, where she confronted him.
She continued: “[He came in through the back] on the creepy creep creep like he was going to sneak up on me.
“I heard him. I came out of his son’s bedroom and I was at the bottom of the hallway. I was like, ‘Don’t come near me,'” she said. “He said the quintessential line you hear in movies all the time, ‘You think I would hurt you? I would never do that to you.’
“I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m in trouble.'”
The actress didn’t elaborate on how the alleged incident ended, but said Spike Lee’s offer to make the 1996 film ‘Girl 6’ is what helped her end the relationship.
She said: “Spike Lee saved me from that one. Spike had been calling me about ‘Girl 6’. I used Spike as an excuse to get on that plane and [her former boyfriend] said right then and there, ‘I’ll never see you again, will I?’
“I got on that plane and he never saw me again.”
