OHMYGOSSIP — John Lennon’s 12-karat gold glasses are set to go under the hammer.
The late Beatles frontman’s Hibo wrap-around frames – without lenses in them – are among a number of items previously belonging to members of the iconic rock group up for sale at the Omega Auctions sale in Newton-Le-Willows, St Helens, Merseyside, England, which takes place next Tuesday (26.03.19) from 11am.
The ‘I’m Only Sleeping’ songwriter’s golden frames were a gift from fashion designer Barry Finch in 1967, and are the most sought-after item in the lot, which also includes a school book owned by Sir Paul McCartney and late guitarist George Harrison’s “Hitler tapes”, a cassette containing unheard tracks recorded in 1978 by George – who died from lung cancer in 2001 at the age of 58.
The tracklisting is as follows: ‘Brazil Spoken Intro’; ‘George Legs Harry’, ‘Brazil 1,2 & 3’, Sooty Goes to Hawaii (Fast Version), ‘1 & 2, Mexican Song (George Harrison’s Father In Law)’ and ‘Bullshot (Vocals Legs Larry Smith)’.
McCartney’s book contains his English essays from his days at the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys between 1959 and 1960, when he was around 17 or 18 , with his teacher’s feedback on them.
His tutor Mr. Durband advised the ‘Hey Jude’ hitmaker on one page: “I’d answer the question first before challenging its truth.”
Harrison’s tape is expected to fetch £3,000, whilst the essays could go for £10,000 or more.
A poster for the Liverpool band’s second album, 1963’s ‘Please Please Me’, is also expected to sell for between £8000 and £12000.
The promo was bought at a garage sale in America last year for just $7 (£5.30).
The items will be on display from 11am to 5pm on Monday (25.03.19) and the day of the auction.
Lennon – who was assassinated in New York City in 1980 at the age of 40 – started a trend for oval-shaped glassless lenses in the 60s, and they remain fashionable to this day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Kruger was left in a “dark place” following her split from Joshua Jackson in 2017.
The 42-year-old actress is now happily romancing ‘Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus – with whom she welcomed a baby daughter in November last year – but before meeting her beau, she says 2017 was a year of “darkness and personal loss”, as she ended her 10-year relationship with fellow actor Joshua as well as several family member deaths.
She said: “I was in such a dark place. I had two really close family deaths that year, I was separating from my partner of 10 years. There was just a lot of darkness and personal loss.”
That year, Diane won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in ‘In The Fade’, and says the gong felt “superficial” amid the turmoil in her personal life.
She added to The I Paper: “People saw that it was not just another movie for me. There is something about grief and loss that lets you see how uncompassionate we are as a society, including myself. You watch TV and you become so numb to somebody else’s misery.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Operative’ actress revealed last year that her split from Joshua was “liberating”, despite her heartbreak.
She said: “[It was] a long time coming. Also we broke up many months before we said we were broken up, so by the time I made that decision, it didn’t feel like it was so urgent anymore. You don’t break up overnight after 10 years, you know what I mean?
“It wasn’t like an urgent, ‘Oh my god, I can’t sleep at night,’ thing. Actually, it felt liberating because I didn’t have to worry about that anymore, so I could immerse myself 100 percent into something else.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra wants to double date with Miley Cyrus.
The 36-year-old actress has been married to Nick Jonas since the end of last year, and has now said she’d love to meet up with Nick’s former girlfriend Miley Cyrus for a double date with her new husband Liam Hemsworth, because she thinks the singer is “amazing”.
When asked if she’d ever double date with the ‘Malibu’ hitmaker, Priyanka said: “We actually talked about that, doing a double date at some point. It was fun. I’ve met Miley just a couple of times, but she’s amazing.”
The ‘Quantico’ actress met Miley, 26, after she starred with Liam in the comedy movie ‘Isn’t It Romantic’, which premiered in February.
Priyanka said the singer “showed so much support to Liam and the movie while we were doing promo”, and says she’s even a “fan” of Miley’s music.
Speaking during an appearance on the ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ aftershow on Thursday (21.03.19), she said: “I’m a fan because I think her music is amazing and you can’t deny that. I hope that’ll happen. I love Liam, he’s a great guy, so I’m sure it’ll be a fun group to go out with.”
If the two couples do double date, they certainly won’t be having dinner at the Chopra Jonas household, as ‘Baywatch’ star Priyanka recently joked she’s a “terrible wife” to 26-year-old Nick because she can’t cook.
She said: “I can’t cook. And I told him that when he proposed. I was like, ‘Listen, you’re from a good southern home, you’re used to your mom making you amazing food. You’re not marrying that girl.’ I cannot cook. I can make eggs, also sporadically, maybe at night.
“I’m a terrible, terrible wife in that sense, but the most amazing thing when I told him that, ‘Babe, I can’t cook and I hope you know that,’ he said, ‘It’s alright babe, neither can I.’ But you don’t hear that from guys! They’re usually like, ‘It’s OK, baby.’ And he was like, ‘I can’t either!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson is “doing really well” following the birth of her daughter.
The 38-year-old singer and actress welcomed her third child, a daughter name Birdie Mae, into the world earlier this week, and sources say she’s “feeling good” following the birth and is “savouring every minute” with her new bundle of joy.
An insider told People magazine: “Jessica is feeling good. The baby is doing really well. Birdie is perfect and Jessica is savouring every minute. Her family has been back to visit at the hospital and they are elated. They are just soaking it all in.”
The news comes after Jessica – who also has daughter Maxwell, six, and Ace, five, with her husband Eric Johnson – confirmed the birth of Birdie this week, when she shared a picture of Maxwell meeting her little sister.
Jessica wrote: “We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson.”
And insiders recently said the ‘Blonde Ambition’ star’s older children are “so excited” to be big siblings.
One source said: “Maxwell was hoping to maintain her record of the biggest baby in the family [at 9 lbs., 13 oz.], and now Birdie has her beat by 1 lb. She’s so in love with her little sister. Everyone is very happy.”
Meanwhile, although she’s happy to be a mother of three now, Jessica previously revealed she had no idea how she’d managed to get pregnant again.
She said: “I thought about [having another baby], but I didn’t really know that it could actually happen. We definitely always love to practice. We actually weren’t practicing very much that month so I don’t understand. We try [to figure it out]. This might be a miracle baby.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre “can’t decide” whether to have another child.
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker already has four children – Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, from his marriage to Katie Price, and Amelia, five, and Theodore, two, with his current wife Emily MacDonagh – but has said a fifth could be on the cards soon as he and his spouse are keen to make a decision on the size of their family within “the next year”.
Asked if he and Emily would have another child, marking their third together, Peter said: “It’s so funny because we’ve had this chat over and over again now. We can’t decide. In the next year we will know. We will know if we’re gonna go for it or not.”
Whilst the 46-year-old singer and television personality might still be undecided when it comes to kids, one thing he knows for sure is how “absolutely stunning” his spouse is.
Heaping praise on Emily, he added: She’s absolutely stunning. Let’s not forget that side of things. She’s a 10 out of 10. She’s just stunning in every way. It just so happens that she’s also very kind and very smart as well.”
And Peter says at the start of their relationship, he felt “a bit embarrassed” to talk about his day job with the qualified doctor, because she was “saving lives” whilst at work.
He told MailOnline: “When we first met I always felt a bit embarrassed to tell her about how my day was compared to how her day was.
“And the reason for that was because her day was about saving lives, and I thought ‘well, what do I tell her?’ I’ve gone and done a signing, or something.
“Great jobs, my work is incredible, but having a conversation about it I didn’t know quite where to take it.”
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Emily recently said the pair haven’t ruled out having another child in the future.
She said: “Pete said in a recent interview that he wants one more child but I can’t say I’m on the same page at the moment. I think he’s forgotten about the sleepless nights with Theo at the start. Maybe when I’ve dedicated a few years to my career I will think about having some more as I really want to get stuck into it next year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Doris Day will celebrate her 97th birthday with “cake and ice cream”.
The Hollywood legend is set to celebrate her birthday on April 3, and her business manager has confirmed she has organised “quiet” birthday plans which involve indulging in her favourite sweet treat, Edy’s slow-churned chocolate fudge ice cream.
Her manager Bob Bashara told People magazine: “Doris will be spending a quiet birthday at home again this year surrounded by a few close friends.
“She always gets lots of phone calls wishing her happy birthday. And, in the evening, she’ll enjoy a special birthday dinner followed by cake and ice cream.”
The birthday plans come after the ‘Calamity Jane’ star discovered in 2017 that she was actually two years older than she had previously thought, when a copy of her birth certificate, obtained from Ohio’s Office of Vital Statistics, revealed the actress was actually born in 1922, and not 1924 as she’d once believed.
In a statement at the time, she said: “I’ve always said that age is just a number and I have never paid much attention to birthdays, but it’s great to finally know how old I really am.”
The documentation showed that the actress was given her pre-fame name of Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff on 3 April 1922 by her parents Alma and William Kappelhoff of Cincinnati.
Charley Cullen Walters, Doris’ spokesman, said at the time that the emergence of the birth certificate should finally end the debate that has surrounded the actress’ age for decades.
He said: “There has long been speculation and rumours about Doris’s age and we get this question a lot; looks like we finally have the answer.
“The story I have heard the most is that at one point Doris was up for a role when quite young and her age may have been miss-written on the audition form. We don’t know if that’s correct, but if so it could’ve simply stuck for all these years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke is “overwhelmed” by the outpouring of support she has received since revealing she almost died from a brain aneurysm in 2011.
The 32-year-old actress revealed this week that she’d suffered two life-threatening aneurysms in 2011 after the end of the first season of ‘Game of Thrones’, on which she plays Daenerys Targaryen.
And now, she’s said she can’t believe how many people have come forward to send their love and support to her in the wake of her news.
In a video posted to Instagram, she said: “Hi everyone. I had to put a video up to say thank you. The response from my story has been overwhelming and deeply and profoundly moving, so thank you so much.”
Since the health scare, Emilia has helped to set up the charity SameYou – which helps to provide treatment for people recovering from brain injuries and strokes – and has encouraged her fans to share their own recovery stories with the organisation.
In the video clip, the beauty added: “So, you’ve heard my story, and now we would like to hear yours. So please, go to SameYou.org and tell us your recovery story.”
The ‘Terminator Genisys’ star captioned the clip by sending “a million million thank yous” to all her fans for their support.
She wrote: “A million million thank you’s to everyone who has read shared and sent love for my story, it’s a beautiful thing to behold and I can’t quite believe how many of you this has affected! @sameyouorg is ready to hear your stories, how you recovered and what could have made that recovery experience better. OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas says married life has been “amazing” so far.
The 26-year-old singer tied the knot with ‘Quantico’ actress Priyanka Chopra late last year, and has said he’s loving being a husband so far, as he says it’s an “incredible thing” that has made his life “way better”.
Speaking about how he and Priyanka support each other emotionally, the Jonas Brothers star said: “Well, I think that we both obviously look out for each other in every way that we can. And I think as we’re continuing to navigate married life together, we’re figuring out exactly what and how we can be the best support for each other. And so far, it’s been amazing and having that partner, that life partner, is just an incredible thing and makes everything way better. So, I’m just hopeful that I can continue to be a good partner to her and whether that’s emotional or physical health, I want to be that teammate in everything.”
Nick recently announced he is reuniting with his older brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas to revive their band the Jonas Brothers, and says he’s “anxious” but “excited” to get back out on the road, especially now that all three of them are adults with their own families and partners.
When asked by Huffington Post what tour will be like now that there’s children and partners involved, Nick said: “I think it will be a lot of fun. I don’t know what it will look like. Part of what makes it so exciting to us is that we’ve all had these experiences over the years, whether together, or now solo, or Joe would do with DNCE. And suddenly these things that we’ve done before have become brand new again. Just by way of coming back together, we’re adults now. We obviously all have our families and seeing what that would look like in this modern era is just really exciting. And I’m anxious to get out on the road and we’re building a plan now, so please stay posted.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Orlando Bloom is moving in with Katy Perry.
The 42-year-old actor was believed to have put his Beverly Hills bachelor pad on the market earlier this week following his February engagement to the ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ hitmaker, and it has now been claimed moving in with his fiancée is a “natural step” for the couple.
A source said: “Since they are engaged, it was just a natural step for them to live together.”
The transition is believed to be going smoothly, and the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star has had no objections from his ex-wife Miranda Kerr – with whom he has eight-year-old son Flynn – because she “gets along” with Katy and doesn’t mind her being around when Orlando has custody of his son.
Speaking to People magazine, the insider added: “[Miranda] doesn’t have an issue [with the move]. Miranda knows Katy and the two get along. Miranda doesn’t have an issue with Flynn being at Katy’s house when Orlando has custody. Everyone is getting along great.”
Orlando listed his property earlier this week for a whopping $9 million, two million more than he paid for it a little under two years ago.
The home comes complete with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a secured courtyard entry, a swimming pool and spa, several floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and an informal dining area with family room.
Meanwhile, it’s not yet known which of Katy’s properties Orlando is moving in to, or if they will purchase an entirely new property to start their life together in.
The ‘Roar’ hitmaker has two multi-million dollar homes in Beverly Hills, and is still currently in a battle to acquire the eight-acre, multi-structure Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary convent in Los Feliz she hopes to convert to a sprawling family compound.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas says “transparency was the key factor” in the Jonas Brothers reunion.
The 26-year-old singer recently teamed up with his brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas to revive their band the Jonas Brothers, and after admitting earlier this month that they’d “spent a year doing therapy” to make sure they were on the same page before reuniting, Nick has now said they have a “healthier relationship” with one another because of the specialist help.
Asked by Huffington Post what the biggest takeaway from therapy was, the ‘Jealous’ hitmaker said: “I think the thing that was so great about this next chapter was that it really began with us getting to the healthiest place we could be as brothers and as family before we decided to work together at all, given that the way it ended before was not the best. We just thought, let’s dive in, let’s really open up and pull this thing apart and see what would need to be different for this to work this time around for a healthier relationship. I think that honesty, that transparency, really was the key factor. And I built the foundation now to where those things that used to be hiccups before for us, are no longer a problem and we’re able to really enjoy this ride and the reaction so far to the new music and everything that’s going on has just been incredible.”
Nick – who married Priyanka Chopra in December – said earlier this month it had taken a while for the brothers to “work through” the rift that had caused the band to split in 2013.
He said: “We literally spent a year basically doing therapy, working through some things, and figuring out what this chapter would look like. We’ve had to be really open and honest. There are things in the past that bothered us from time to time, even in our performances that we would do.”
And the singer – who spent time as a solo artist following the initial end of the Jonas Brothers – even admitted he thought a reunion would be “impossible”.
Speaking after the release of their new single ‘Sucker’, he said: “When it ended it was not good. It was a couple years of rebuilding our family, and in our mind it seemed impossible for us to do this ever again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr gets on “really well” with Katy Perry.
The 35-year-old model – who has son Flynn, eight, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom and Hart, 10 months, with spouse Evan Spiegel – has a “modern family” and still enjoys seeing the ‘Lord of the Rings’ actor and his new fiancée.
Asked about a photo of her giving Katy a birthday gift in October, she said: “Oh, I haven’t seen that photo. “But I went to pick up Flynn because it was Katy’s birthday, and they walked him out.
“It was so nice to see Katy. We all get along really well.
“We’re like a modern family.”
While the Kora Organics founder doesn’t like to speak much about her spouse because the Snapchat mogul is so “private”, she thinks he is a great father and both her sons are “lucky” to have him around.
She told Marie Claire magazine: “I love seeing him with the boys and I feel really grateful for his love and support. The boys are lucky to have him in their lives.”
Miranda herself feels very “lucky” to have the “luxury” of either taking her youngest son to work at her Kora Organics office or to hold meetings at home.
She said: “I’m so lucky that I can take my little one to work.
“I’ve been in plenty of meetings where I’ve had to stop and go, ‘Sorry, just have to go feed my baby!’
“But it’s such a luxury to be able to be settled, to be in one place and to have routines.”
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel admitted she’s keen to have another child in the future.
She said: “Not right this second, but yeah, definitely at some point. I love being a mum. It’s just the most rewarding thing.
“I’m always busy, but I’m balanced-busy.
“It’s all about business, the baby and my big boy.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams now wants “everyone in America” to know who he is.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker has never managed to match the success he’s enjoyed in his native UK Stateside and while he previously “gave up” and enjoyed his anonymity in the US, he’s now focused on cracking the country.
He said: “I spent years trying to break America and then I just gave up and thought, ‘I can come here unrecognised.’
“But now I’ve changed my mind. I want everyone in America to know my name. I want Jennifer Aniston to know who I am.”
Robbie, who has a house in Los Angeles, has admitted taking on the residency was a “no-brainer” because it has always been something he dreamed of.
He said: “This is a dream I’ve had since I was a kid.
“This is what I’ve always wanted to do. I love Vegas. I live 35 minutes away by plane.
“I can come here, bring my kids and perform in this city – which always seemed like the centre of showbiz to me, because I grew up listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra.
“These were the guys my dad wanted to be like, and I wanted to be like my dad, so Vegas was where it was at.”
The 45-year-old star – who has three children with wife Ayda Field – is currently midway through a 15-date residency in Las Vegas and he’s hoping the audiences will start “spreading the word” about him.
He told HELLO! Magazine: “What thrills me is I get British people in the audience but I also get Americans. They know my songs. They know the words to ‘Angels’ and ‘Feel’.
“I’m like, ‘So you do know me – well tell all your mates about me. Start spreading the word. I’m here waiting.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Mendes wants to work with Ryan Gosling again.
Although the 45-year-old actress has taken an extended hiatus from acting to care for her and Ryan’s daughters Esmeralda, four, and Amada, two, she admitted she would return to the big screen if she would work with Ryan, who she last starred with in the 2012 movie ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’.
She told Extra that she would “absolutely” work with Ryan again, adding: “I’m excited to go back to work, it’s just not, like, I’m dying to do a movie again, so it has to be something really special.”
Eva also admitted she is the stricter parent to the couple’s daughters.
She said: “I think I am. There’s that term ‘helicopter parent,’ but aren’t you supposed to be a helicopter parent?… I’m strict about what they eat, and what they wear, and what time they go to bed. And what they watch, so yeah.”
It was previously revealed that Eva and Ryan, 38, are at their happiest when they’re spending quality time with their kids.
A source shared: “They are both in love with being parents, and can’t get enough of it. Neither wants to slow down on work interests but every day is a juggling act to be with their daughters.”
And despite the closeness of their relationship, they both apparently feel it’s important to give each other a certain amount of freedom.
The insider said: “They love and respect each other and try to give the other space to pursue what they love. Now the children come first, and they share a love for them which neither had experienced before.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ralph Fiennes cast a dancer rather than an actor in ‘The White Crow’ as the film was “very financially challenged”.
The 56-year-old actor directed and produced the upcoming film which follows Rudolf Nureyev (Sergei Polunin) as he becomes a top ballet dancer in Russia and revealed that he chose to feature a real ballet dancer in the movie as financial and time limits on the movie meant a body double would be ineffective.
In an interview with website HeyUGuys, the ‘Harry Potter’ star said: “I think ballet dancers have very specific physicality in the way they move of course there is a version where you could cast an actor – but you would need to use a body dancing double unless that actor happened to be a great ballet dancer.
“I felt that if I had a dancer – I knew we would be shooting in the limited time frame and that the ability to swap out dancing doubles in the scene would be denied by the time limitation.
“We were financially very challenged and therefore our time to shoot is challenged and therefore if I can get a dancer so I can shoot the scene and not have to worry of cutting away to someone else we would achieve the filming schedule.”
The ‘Schindler’s List’ actor went on to explain that it “made sense” to hire a dancer rather than an actor and insisted that being able to work without a double was the “dream ticket”.
He said: “I thought that makes sense that this was about a great dancer so to have someone who can sit at the bar and do a warm up exercise and we can follow their face and go to their feet and their legs that felt like the dream ticket.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Director Dexter Fletcher has promised that ‘Rocketman’ will be “no holds barred”.
It has been claimed that movie bosses have requested that Dexter cut a 40-second scene from the Sir Elton John biopic in which Taron Egerton as the musician and Richard Madden as Elton’s manager John Reid are lying together naked on a bed.
However, Dexter – who is currently editing the project – has taken to Twitter to insist that the movie will be a “no holds barred” account of openly gay singer/songwriter Elton’s life.
He tweeted: “Seeing much speculation about ROCKETMAN!! That’s good! It’s still unfinished so it’s nothing but rumors. It has and always will be the no holds barred, musical fantasy that Paramount and producers passionately support and believe in. See for yourself May 24. Dx x (sic).”
It had been claimed that the cut is being made to the movie so it can achieve the American rating PG 13 – equivalent to a British 12A.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Two guys have a naked cuddle to express their love for each other and that will be reduced to a fully dressed warm hello. The world knows Elton’s gay it’s no secret.”
The publication also claimed that Elton himself was keen for his wild life and career to be told accurately on the big screen and insisted filmmakers could “Tell it all. Go as G-rated as you need to”.
Despite earning plaudits from people who have seen him as the ‘Rocketman’ singer, Taron, 29, has confessed that he doesn’t want to know” when the musician watches the film but he does really want Elton, 71, to be pleased with his portrayal of him.
He previously said: “He’s so universally loved, and I just want to make him happy really. Just getting over the pressure of it and having a good time.”
Music producer Giles Martin previously revealed that his friend Elton is more than happy with Taron’s takes on his most famous songs for the film, even though he hasn’t yet seen the final edit of the movie.

OHMYGOSSIP — Francis Rossi is too “scared” to have his septum repaired.
The Status Quo frontman is in constant pain because of the hole inside his nose, which was caused by his heavy drug use, but he won’t go under the knife to tackle the problem.
Asked if he regrets being so open about his drug use, Francis – who has been sober since the early 1990s – said: “No I don’t. I still do talks in schools and tell the kids that drugs make you feel fantastic and then this happens – and I get a cotton bud, stick it up one nostril, through the hole and bend it so it comes out the other nostril.
“I’m too scared to have the operation and get it repaired, so my nose is sore most of the time, it gets all dry and crusty.
“You wouldn’t want to see up it.”
The 69-year-old rocker admitted drugs and alcohol turned him into a “d**khead” but he doesn’t believe he’d have turned to cocaine if he hadn’t been such a heavy drinker.
He said: “I became a d**khead. For me it was that manly thing – trying to prove something – and that’s not who I am.
“We were in a Mexican restaurant in Montreaux with Queen and everyone was shouting, ‘Have a drink’. So I drank six margaritas. Everybody started cheering so I did six more. That’s how I became a drinker.
“Then it was, ‘Have a toot.’ But I would never have taken cocaine if it wasn’t for drinking.”
These days, that ‘Whatever You Want’ hitmaker leads a much quieter life with his wife Eileen.
He told MOJO Magazine: “I get annoyed when people talk about the rock’n’roll lifestyle. I think, ‘You mean being a d**khead?’
“You could say I’m OCD but that’s a current term. I’m just organised and regimented.
“I work out, I practise guitar every evening and do jigsaw puzzles. I don’t do them because I want to beat them but because they relax me.
“I’ll go and sit in the orangery with Eileen, with a fire going, Talking Pictures TV on and a puzzle on the go. Lovely.”
