Christopher Biggins slams ‘terrible’ Gillian McKeith

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Biggins would have wanted to kill Gillian McKeith if he was on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with her.
The 2007 King of the Jungle admitted he was thankful he didn’t end up in the same camp as the 59-year-old star – who was the fifth contestant to be voted off in 2010 – because he would have lost patience very quickly with the “terrible” woman and her ineptitude with the Bushtucker Trials.
He said: “I can say she was a terrible woman.
“If I was in the jungle with her – I know where I would kill her and bury her!
“I think it’s very important because she didn’t do anything for her fellow contestants.”
‘Loose Women’ anchor Kaye Adams then said: “You can’t say that. Listen, I know you’re saying that in jest…”
He replied: “No, I’m not saying that in jest.”
And the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was defended by ‘Loose Women’ panellist Stacey Solomon, who won the show in Gillian’s year.
She said: “She’s not a terrible woman.”
Biggins, 69, also insisted his own stint in the jungle wasn’t completely harmonious as he branded US supermodel and show runner-up Janice Dickenson “vile”.
He said: “I had the awful Janice Dickinson.
“The awful American model who was vile – she didn’t do anything!”
But while he blasted the “awful” contestants from the past, he moaned that this year’s campmates are all too “nice” and are playing the format in order to do well.
Speaking on who might annoy him if he was on the show this year, he said: “John Barrowman might, but they’re all being very nice.
“Also Noel Edmonds. They all know the programme now and think they need to be nice to win.”

Crystal Hefner: Sex wasn’t important to Hugh

OHMYGOSSIP — Crystal Hefner says sex wasn’t “all that important” to her late husband Hugh Hefner.
The widow of the Playboy magazine founder insists her spouse – who passed away in September 2017 – wasn’t worried about getting physical in the time leading up to his passing and the pair would instead relax with “movie nights and backgammon”.
Asked if the pair regularly got intimate between the sheets, she told Access Live: “You know, in that point in time in his life that wasn’t, you know, all that important to him.”
Meanwhile, Crystal previously admitted she misses the media mogul “every day”.
She said: “I miss him every day. He taught me a lot. He taught me love. He taught me kindness. He was so kind to everybody, so welcoming to everybody into his home, it didn’t matter who you were.”
And Crystal insists she never felt the need to be “dolled up” in lots of make-up because that is something she did just to be part of the Playboy image.
She added: “I’ve never been the heel and dress and full make-up, I’ve never been that kind of person. Maybe I felt like I had to be in the role I was in, being Playmate or being a part of Playboy, that I had to be dolled up. I think now I am more myself, which is the more down-to-earth, minimal makeup, that is where I feel the most comfortable.”
Crystal was thought to be a “pillar of strength” in Hefner’s final years, and stayed by his side through his “declining years”.
A source said previously: “Crystal surprised the hell out of a lot of people when she stood by Hef’s side in his declining years as he got older and became more frail. They actually called Crystal a pillar of strength.”

Jemma Lucy to confront Stephen Bear in new show

OHMYGOSSIP — Jemma Lucy will confront ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear on a new TV show after he was accused of cheating on her during their relationship.
The pair are set to appear on a celebrity version of ‘Eating With My Ex’ on BBC Three, where 30-year-old Jemma will address Stephen’s alleged cheating during their 2016 romance.
The show reunites former couples over dinner to pick over the bones of their failed relationships, and will air its celebrity version in the form of a couple of special episodes early next year.
Jemma and Stephen appeared together on the All Stars series of MTV’s ‘Ex On The Beach’ in 2015, but only hooked up once Stephen left the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in early 2016.
They dated for several months, with pals saying Jemma had fallen for Stephen shortly before the split, and had even gotten matching tattoos.
Jemma said: “It was very intense, it was crazy, there was loads of partying.
“It was a whirlwind of fun and it was like me and Bear were just in a bubble together and we didn’t care about what anyone else thought.”
But the pair split in late 2016 after Jemma accused him of cheating on her, when several girls contacted her on social media to claim they’d slept with the tattooed hunk.
Speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column, she said: “Bear would always deny it and he’d say they were just jealous and they were trying to split us up.
“I believed him the first few times but then just had a gut feeling and messaged one of the girls back.
“I spoke to her and even met her, and everything she was saying just added up.”
In November 2016, Jemma replied to a fan on Twitter to accuse Stephen of cheating on her, when he posted a raunchy Snapchat video of himself in bed with another woman after the couple had split.
When one Twitter user wrote: “I swear @stephen_bear was just loved up with @jem_lucy like last week and now he’s with another lass (sic), Jemma replied: “I f***ed him off he cheated (sic).”
She added: “He will cheat on her too babe like he did me! I’m lucky to be rid of him ages ago (sic).”

Timothee Chalamet’s important movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothée Chalamet thinks ‘Beautiful Boy’ is “extremely important”.
The 22-year-old actor plays journalist and drug addict Nic Sheff opposite Steve Carell as his father in the upcoming movie and he feels a “pressure” to get the film released because he thinks young people really need to see it.
He told Deadline: “I feel the pressure of wanting to get Beautiful Boy out there. It’s extremely important, not only for people all across America, but also for people my age.
“We’re going through this, and inherent to that is the difficulty of discussing something that is really upsetting and devastating to a lot of families.
“But I think that’s the importance of art and movies.”
Timothée turned to YouTube for footage of drug addiction and also met with other addicts as part of his research for the role, but quickly released he needed to ignore “stereotypes” to be convincing.
He said: “Oh wait, addiction doesn’t have a face. This isn’t a bridge I have to cross to understand playing this. This is a human illness. Don’t play the stereotype of a drug addict. Play a human who’s addicted to drugs.”
The Oscar-nominated star thinks the movie – which is based on Nic’s autobiography, ‘Tweak’, and his father David Sheff’s memoir of the same name – is particularly important because it doesn’t glorify drug use and shows the real feelings of both addicts and those in recovery.
He said: “It’s really an anti-glorification of drug use.
“If films with this subject matter lean into tragedy tonally, you’re almost prepared for it. Or they lean the other way, into a kind of celebratory, upbeat, tragically cool thing. This is, hopefully, what the reality of it is.
“The subject matter is already tough, and we want the redemption of it to be in plain sight, but the honesty is in how f***ing terrifying it is to be using, and also how terrifying it feels to be sober.”

Lady Gaga ‘recovering’ from A Star Is Born

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga is “still recovering” from her role in ‘A Star Is Born’.
The 32-year-old singer plays struggling musician Ally in Bradley Cooper’s recently released directorial debut, and has said she put so much into the character that she hasn’t been able to separate Ally from herself since the movie wrapped.
She said: “It was a sanctuary of trust, and so when I saw that trust with Bradley, I said, ‘OK, I’m going to have to become someone that I do not have complete control over.’ I still feel like I’m recovering from playing this role.”
Gaga went to great lengths to create Ally’s character in the romance movie, and even changed the way she would naturally act on stage to give Ally “something that I don’t always give as a musician”, because she didn’t want fans to think they were just watching Lady Gaga.
She added: “I do certain things when I sing and I’m on stage. I have a certain way about me when I perform, but I wanted to be pointed out when I was doing something that was would look decidedly like me, the way that my fans see me, because I wanted her to be so different.”
The ‘Bad Romance’ singer admits the role was a “big dream” come true, as she wanted to be an actress long before she was a singer, and even creates characters for herself when she’s on stage.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter’s Actress Roundtable, she said: “I wanted to be an actress before I wanted to be a musician, so this was a big dream of mine. I felt really excited and really ready for this part.
“[I have] created characters [onstage] because I did not make it as an actress, so I made characters that I could be – so I could be one. They were always some way related to the woman that I wanted to sing to, and a part of me.”

Dave Grohl didn’t think Foo Fighters would be successful

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl “never thought” Foo Fighters would be successful.
The 49-year-old frontman founded the ‘Learn To Fly’ rockers following the disbandment of Nirvana – whom he was the drummer for – after the tragic death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, and has said he never believed Foo Fighters would be as successful as the ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ hitmakers.
He said: “I never, ever thought we would be in the place that we are in now. I mean, anyone that would imagined that happening is just fucking insane. If someone were to tell me we would be where we are now I would tell them they are wrong, that there’s no way that’s possible.”
And Dave admits he pushed forward with Foo Fighters’ second record – 1997’s ‘The Colour and the Shape’ – because he “didn’t want to get stuck” in the dark place he was left in when Nirvana ended.
Speaking to Billboard’s Chart Beat Podcast, Dave said: “After that first [Foo Fighters] record we thought, ‘Ok, well, let’s make one more”, and some of us were backpacking through Europe and we spent our life doing it but you gotta do it at least once, so we thought, ‘Ok, let’s do it again. This time, we’ll get an established producer and we’ll really work on it because the first one was just me, five days in the studio.
“So the ball kinda just kept rolling and it was a nice way to feel like life had direction and that there were things to look forward to, because I didn’t want to get stuck in that place where I was when Nirvana ended.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Everlong’ musician recently revealed Kurt Cobain’s death taught him to live everyday like it’s his “last”.
He said: “When Kurt died, I remember the next day and thinking, ‘I still get to live.’
“So I’m going to live everyday like it’s my last one. Even if it’s the worst day, I’m gonna try to appreciate it.”

Gerard Depardieu questioned over rape allegation

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Depardieu has been questioned over an allegation of rape.
The 69-year-old actor attended a police interview on Tuesday (27.11.18) in relation to a claim made in August but is not being kept in custody and was free to terminate the interview at any time, sources in France have revealed.
When an unnamed young actress-and-dancer made an allegation against the French film star in August, he vehemently denied the claims against him.
His lawyer, Herve Temime, said at the time: “Gerard Depardieu absolutely denies any attack, any rape.
“I regret the public nature of this process which is doing major harm to Gerard Depardieu, whose innocence will certainly be proven.”
He also admitted his client had been left “shaken” by the allegations, which went against “everything he is and respects”.
He added: “I had a long meeting with Gérard Depardieu and I am absolutely convinced his innocence will be established.”
The ‘Going Places’ actor has been accused of raping and assaulting the 22-year-old woman – who reportedly went to him for career advice – at his mansion in Paris’ chic 6th district between 7 and 13 August this year.
His alleged victim filed her complaint in Provence, southern France, prompting local prosecutors to open an investigation and the case was later transferred to prosecutors in Paris.
The ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’ actor has made headlines in recent years for his criticism of high taxes in France, which prompted him to move to Belgium in protest.
In 2013, he was granted Russian citizenship by the country’s president, Vladimir Putin.
Gerard has previously spoken of his poor background and admitted to taking part in petty crime during his childhood, resulting in a prison stint for car theft.

Lady Gaga faced constant harassment

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga was constantly “harassed” when she began her music career.
The 32-year-old singer-and-actress – who previously admitted to suffering from PTSD after being raped when she was 19 – claims it was the “rule” to expect unwanted advances whenever she went into the recording studio, but when she did confide in people, no one wanted to “protect” her as it would mean losing their own “power”.
She said: “When I started in the music business when I was around 19, it was the rule, not the exception, that you would walk into a recording studio and be harassed. It was just the way that it was.
“So I do wish that I had spoken up sooner. I did speak up about it. I was assaulted when I was young, and I told people.
“And, you know, there was a ‘boys club.’ Nobody wants to lose their power, so they don’t protect you because if they say something, it takes some of their power away.”
With issues such as sexual misconduct and the gender pay gap being discussed more openly in recent years, Gaga is hoping it is time for a big change.
Speaking to Glenn Close, Kathryn Hahn, Nicole Kidman, Regina King and Rachel Weisz for The Hollywood Reporter’s Actress’ Roundtable, she said: “What I hope is that these conversations come together — that it’s not just about equal pay on one side … or equal billing over here … and then assault on this side. But that it all comes together and that this movement is all of those things.”
And the ‘Star is Born’ actress is delighted that so many men have lent their support to the causes.
She said: “That’s what is so exciting with the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up, to see men coming to stand by our side and say, ‘We want you to be loud. We want to hear your voices.’ It’s really remarkable.”

Channing Tatum is ‘so happy’ for Amanda Bynes

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum is “so happy” Amanda Bynes is back on track after a difficult few years.
The actor has praised his ‘She’s The Man’ co-star – who has revealed she pushed for producers to cast him in the 2006 rom-com when he was still unknown – and said he is glad she is doing better after taping a few years out of the spotlight to overcome her personal issues.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, he said: “I love her and I just hope she’s doing well… I’m so happy she’s killing it again and just back on the right.
“She’s so talented and so special. She’s been doing it… I mean, I think it’s so impossible when you start at such a young age to keep perspective. It’s tough.”
The ‘Magic Mike’ star went on to praise Amanda – who has been sober for four years after slipping into substance abuse issues – for always being fun to be around and sent his love to the 32-year-old actress.
He added: “She was just so alive. You never knew what was going to come out her mouth, she was just on fire… I haven’t seen her in so long. I love you, Amanda, and I hope you’re doing well.”
Amanda had explained how she fought to have Channing cast alongside her in the movie because she knew he had star quality.
She told Paper magazine: “I totally fought for Channing [to get cast in] that movie because he wasn’t famous yet. He’d just done a Mountain Dew commercial and I was like, ‘This guy’s a star — every girl will love him!’
“But [the producers] were like, ‘He’s so much older than all of you!’ And I was like, ‘It doesn’t matter! Trust me!’ ”
But the actress also recalled how she fell into a “deep depression” after the shoot because she hated the way she looked when her character, Viola Johnson, posed as her twin brother Sebastian.
She admitted: “It was an interesting experience [afterwards]. When the movie came out and I saw it, I went into a deep depression for four to six months because I didn’t like how I looked when I was a boy.
“I’ve never told anyone that. [It was] a super strange and out-of-body experience. It just really put me into a funk.”

Mariah Carey: George Michael’s death took its toll

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey says the death of George Michael “really took a toll” on her.
The ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker admits she was shocked by the Wham! singer’s death in December 2016 because she thought he would “be OK”.
She said: “It’s really about a great support system and working with people who understand and try to create a good environment. Hopefully, those people will also understand stress is really a killer. When we have lost some of our greatest, it’s really taken a toll on me, as someone who grew up watching them and being inspired by them. You mentioned George Michael. I remember before my first album, even in high school, the Faith album, I looked at that and said, ‘I want to make an album that crosses all these genres.’ We had a lot of things in common in terms of record company political stuff. I remember this one dinner that we had. We were both talking about really difficult stuff that we’d been through. And when he passed away on that Christmas, I couldn’t believe it because I thought he would be able to be OK.”
And the 48-year-old singer “missed out on a lot of things” when she was growing up because of her star status and admits she felt like “Rapunzel in a castle”.
She added to Pitchfork: “I missed out on a lot of things and I was enormously blessed with a lot of things … In the early part of my success, I was cloistered. I was like a Rapunzel in a castle kept away from the world, so I didn’t get to feel famous. I just felt like, ‘OK, I’ll go out there when they tell me it’s time to go sing, and then I’ll come back here and sit in the house.’ The beginning of my career was bleak, because I was surrounded by everybody who was so much older than me, and I wasn’t really allowed to have fun. The big boys were always in control.”

Kevin Hart signs on for Sunny remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart has signed on to produce a remake of South Korean movie ‘Sunny’.
The star’s own HartBeat Productions have teamed with CJ Entertainment for the project – which will be renamed ‘Bye Bye Bye’ – as they look to bring the comedy drama to a new audience.
As revealed by the Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has acquired rights to the movie, which has landed Amy Aniobi – writer-producer for HBO’s ‘Insecure’ – to pen the script.
When the original ‘Sunny’ was released in 2011, it became one of the highest grossing movies in South Korea.
It’s a female-driven dramedy focusing on a group of adult friends as they reunite 20 years after leaving high school.
It marks the second project the actor and Universal have set up in a month, following news in October that Chris Rock is in talks to direct him in comedy ‘Co-Parenting’.
Meanwhile, he also starred opposite Tiffany Haddish in the studio’s blockbuster ‘Night School’.
The new projects come after Hart’s Comedy Act win at the People’s Choice Awards, which led to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson joking he would kill off his friend’s character in the ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ sequel.
Along with a middle finger emoji, he joked on Twitter: “I mean Im happy for my son, but you gotta be s****in’ me?! I do all the heavy lifting in our comedy act and HE takes home the gold?
“Welp, seeing as I’m producer of Jumanji, guess who’s character is gonna die in the opening scene when we start shooting in Jan. #BuhByeKev (sic)”

Glenn Close wants more women-centric movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Glenn Close hopes her part in ‘The Wife’ will encourage studios to make more women-centric movies.
The ‘Fatal Attraction’ star is confident her role in the 2017 movie will inspire more movie studios to fund films, which include prominent female characters, as she laments how long it took for the movie to be made.
She said: “I’ve been a part of two films that took 14 years to make. The first one was ‘Albert Nobbs’ and the second was ‘The Wife’. It was actually hard to find actors who wanted to be in a movie called ‘The Wife’. It’s two women writers. And, you know, starring a woman. No one wanted to make it and, most of the money, if not all the money, came from Europe.”
And Rachel Weisz hates the term “strong women characters”.
In an actress roundtable with Close, she added to The Hollywood Reporter: “The Favourite apparently took 20 years to make, because there is lesbianism and three females at the centre of it. I have a real problem with the idea of ‘strong women characters’. Well, does that mean we have muscles or something? No one ever says that to a man.
“I want young girls growing up to see stories being told where a woman takes a central role. Where she is not peripheral to the story. She’s driving the story, and so, you as a kid can go, ‘Oh, that’s me. I can identify’. It’s, like, a funny thing that these films are coming together as women have been speaking up about harassment.”

Axl Rose: Queen are the greatest band of all time

OHMYGOSSIP — Axl Rose has dubbed Queen as “the greatest band” of all time.
The 56-year-old rocker may have countless young musicians looking up to him and his band Guns N’ Roses, but for Axl himself, the title of all time greatest musicians would go to the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ hitmakers and their late frontman Freddie Mercury.
Speaking to Abu Dhabi news outlet Atlas, he said: “For me, it’s easy – Queen is the greatest band and Freddie [Mercury] is the greatest frontman of all time. The band are the greatest because they embraced so many different styles.”
In 1992, Axl performed ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ with Queen and Sir Elton John, as he took part in the ‘Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert’, which was held the year after his death in November 1991.
Axl’s interview with Atlas was conducted ahead of Guns N’ Roses’ planned show in the United Arab Emirates capital on Sunday night (11.26.18), which was cut short after Axl fell ill.
The ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ hitmakers played for two hours before calling it a night, as Axl claimed he had been “throwing up” throughout the day.
In fan-filmed footage, he can be heard saying on stage: “They’ve got me on IVs and a bunch of injections, ’cause I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last five hours.
“So instead of cancelling, I’m gonna do the best show we can for you.”
Slash later tweeted: “Abu Dhabi, you guys were f***ing great tonight!
“Axl was severely ill. But you all were hugely supportive. Thanks for that. We’ll see again next time! Cheers! (sic)”

Metallica to release live album for charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica are releasing a live acoustic album for charity.
The ‘Enter Sandman’ hitmakers – comprised of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Rob Trujilo, and Kirk Hammett – are set to drop the LP, titled ‘Helping Hands: Live & Acoustic at the Masonic’, on February 1.
The album consists of songs performed at their acoustic benefit concert in San Francisco earlier this month, which saw them perform versions of iconic tracks including ‘Unforgiven’ and ‘Nothing Else Matters’.
Both the benefit concert and the upcoming album are raising money for their nonprofit, All Within My Hands, and the San Francisco show even included a charity auction which raised $1.3 million for the cause – which helps fight hunger and provide underprivileged communities with workforce education.
Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation also recently donated $100,000 to those affected by California’s devastating wildfires.
‘Helping Hands: Live & Acoustic at the Masonic’ will be released as a double-LP with two coloured vinyls, and will be available to purchase from record stores next year.
All proceeds from sales will go directly to the All Within My Hands Foundation.
Meanwhile, Metallica recently said they have no plans to retire, because they feel more “energised and rejuvenated” than ever before.
Lars said: “A lot of people are retiring, and we feel very energized and rejuvenated. I mean, we wanna go [a] long [time].
“We hope we can get another 20, 25 years out of Metallica. I don’t know what it’s gonna look like, I don’t know what it’s gonna sound like, but that’s in our heads.
“We’re not sitting there thinking retirement or this or that; we’re sort of more the opposite. So I would say, for us, everything we do is kind of a long game.
“And back then, when you were 17, you only think of, like, the next five minutes. ‘Where is the next beer? Wooh!’ So that’s kind of different mentality nowadays.”

Dolly Parton would never retire

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton has “never once” thought of retiring.
The ‘9 To 5’ hitmaker insists she has no plans to give up her career any time soon and she feels so “grateful” that she still gets to perform.
She said: “There’s a whole lot to be said for loving your work and having confidence in yourself. I never once thought of retiring …
“It’ll happen when it happens. That’s how I feel. I am grateful that I am still here. So many people have more talent than I’ve ever dreamed of having that never get to see dreams come true.”
However, Dolly would give up her career in a heartbeat if her husband Carl Thomas Dean needed her.
She told People magazine: “If my husband needed me, or someone in my family, I would put him first. I’ve always put myself first and my career first, but if something were to happen to him, I would pull back on that. I’d still find a way to work, still find a way to be productive. I just hope I fall dead in the middle of a song, hopefully one I wrote, right on stage. That’s the way I go!”
Meanwhile, the 72-year-old singer previously insisted she wants to continue performing for as long as she can.
Asked if she’d ever go into retirement, Dolly said: “I don’t know what in the world I would do, I don’t even know what that word ‘retire’ means. I’d only do that if my husband was ill and needed me to be there, or if I was too sick to go on. And then I would still be writing songs, coming up with business ideas, being on the phone, creating. That old saying, ‘I’d rather wear out that rust out’, I think I would rust out pretty quickly if I wasn’t busy.”

Justin Bieber to spend Thanksgiving with his father

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are to spend their first Thanksgiving as a married couple with Justin’s father.
The couple – who recently confirmed their marriage – will mark the holiday with Jeremy Bieber and his family.
A source told E! News: “Justin didn’t grow up celebrating Thanksgiving, but they are doing a dinner tomorrow night.”
It comes after Hailey changed her name to Hailey Bieber.
Hailey is now ‘Hailey Bieber’ on Instagram and has changed her bio on the site to include the name ‘Hailey Rhode Bieber’. The name change comes just days after Justin posted a picture of them together on Instagram and wrote: “My wife is awesome”.
Meanwhile, Justin has dialled back his work commitments in order to spend more time with his new wife and sources say he’s “content” with where his life is now.
An insider recently said: “He’s happy and content. He is in love with Hailey. She encourages him to do whatever he wants to do, and is encouraging him in this season of self-discovery … It actually bugs him when people ask when he’s going back to the studio or on tour. He has worked for years, and the first time he takes a significant break, everyone’s all, ‘When’s he coming back?’ To Justin, those aren’t just questions – those are demands. For years, everyone has tried to take a piece of him. Just let him be.
“He’s thinking, ‘Hey, maybe it’s not music. Maybe there are other things I should be doing.’ So while he’s figuring it out, the last thing he needs is people asking him when he’s going back into the studio. He truly wants to make the world a better place, and he’s self-aware enough to know that some of his previous choices may not have accomplished that. So he’s working through it, which really should be applauded. It’s a very mature thing to do.”
