OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez took a “long time” to believe in herself.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker admits she suffered from a lot of self-doubt at the beginning of her career and constantly worried what people thought of her.
She said: “You know, I’ve really become – and I think from being in this business, I don’t let the opinion of others really influence how I think about myself. And that took a long time. Because in the early party of my career, I did, and it made me feel really bad about myself.”
And the 49-year-old star kept persevering with her talents despite the criticism.
Speaking during a panel after a New York City screening of her upcoming film ‘Second Act’, she added: “I’m killing it, and then everybody’s like, ‘She can’t sing, she can’t dance, she can’t act, she’s just some pretty face or her butt is big’ or whatever they were saying about me and I started thinking, ‘Yeah, that’s true.’ And it really hurt me for a long time … I just couldn’t allow myself to let that become who I was. I was like, ‘No, I’m gonna make another record, I’m gonna make another song, I’m gonna make another movie. I’m a great actress, I’m a great singer, a great dancer, I’m great at this stuff! And I’m gonna keep going!’ And I did. And that’s all I did. I just kept going. And I just started working harder and harder than everybody else. I started believing in myself. I started believing in the fact that I wasn’t an imposter, that I wasn’t a fake.”

Ruth Wilson worried about family reaction

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Wilson was “nervous” about her family seeing ‘Mrs. Wilson’.
The 36-year-old actress portrays her own grandmother – who discovered her late husband had multiple secret wives and children – in the new BBC drama series and she was concerned about how their relatives would react to the story.
She admitted: “I was so nervous about their reaction, because it was the first time they had seen it.
“I knew watching their family story must be an odd experience, whether it is moving or just discombobulating. I was very sensitive to how emotional they might be feeling in this big public arena. I didn’t care what anybody else thought!”
Thankfully, Ruth’s family approved of the production and she herself is very “proud” of the drama, which she thinks is a “gift” to their loved ones.
She told The Big Issue magazine: “As my career grew, people were more willing to listen to this story and the BBC were more willing to take a risk on me.
“The stars all aligned at the right time. It is something I will be very proud of forever. It does feel like a gift to my family.”
Away from the family connection, the ‘Luther’ actress thinks the “unique” story has much wider appeal because it’s so gripping.
She said: “I think it is unique. A real, true domestic drama that is deeply personal, but also full of intrigue. It feels like a domestic thriller.
“It has scale to it but really it is about this woman, her journey and what, on a very intimate level, she is going through. Her life was really ordinary.
“But she married this extraordinary individual and through that her life became extraordinary.
“It makes you feel that maybe everyone’s life, in close up, is extraordinary.”

Will Smith blessed to have relationship with eldest son

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith feels “blessed” to have restored his relationship with his eldest son.
The ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ star is lucky to have a great relationship with his 26-year-old son Trey – who he has with his ex Sheree Zampino – but admits it has not been easy and they had “struggled for years” before getting to this point.
Alongside a video of him and his son, Will wrote on Instagram: “It has not always been like this between Trey & I. We STRUGGLED FOR YEARS after my Divorce from his Mother. He felt betrayed & abandoned. It is a Wild Blessing to recover & restore a Loving Relationship with My Beautiful Son! @treysmith0011 (sic)”
In the video, the 50-year-old actor revealed Trey had recently called his dad his best friend.
He says: “So I’m in Abu Dhabi at the F1. I brought my son Trey. We’ve been hanging and I usually take my kids separately on stuff so they have their individual daddy time. So we’ve been doing this, hanging at the F1, and he said, ‘You know what dad? I just realised you’re not just my dad.’ He paused and said, ‘I’m pretty sure you’re my best friend.'”
Meanwhile, Will previously joked that his kids finally think he’s cool thanks to ‘Suicide Squad’ and he is grateful his role in the movie has given him some power in his household.
He said: “This is the type of thing that, no matter how cool you think you are, your kids think you suck. This is like the first time where like I’m cool for real. The Suicide Squad, I don’t know what it is, but something about this idea and something about this cast has really captured something. So my kids are doing what I say, at least for the next couple of months.”

Rylan Clark-Neal would be ‘devastated’ by Big Brother snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal would be “devastated” if ‘Big Brother’ returned without him.
The 30-year-old presenter fronted spin-off ‘Big Brother’s Bit On the Side’ from 2013 until it ended this summer and while he hopes the programme will return eventually, he would be upset if he wasn’t still a part of it.
Rylan – who won ‘Celebrity Big Brother 11’ in January 2013 – told the new issue of OK! magazine: “Fingers crossed Big Brother will be picked up somewhere. I always said I would never leave Big Brother unless I was sacked or not wanted, so if it does go elsewhere and they want a new host then fair enough, but I’ll be devastated.
“Big Brother changed my life.”
In 2015, Rylan married his husband Dan, who had been a contestant on the 2014 series of ‘Big Brother’ and he joked meeting his spouse is one of his best moments about the show.
Asked his highlights, he said: “Winning it and finding a husband from it. No, genuinely, my team. We’re one massive family.”
Two years ago, the former ‘X Factor’ contestant and his husband stood in for regular hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ‘This Morning’ and though it was an “honour” to front the show, the couple have no plans to present together any more.
Asked if they would do it again, Rylan said: “Absolutely not, no. I loved it and we were really honoured to be the first same-sex couple to do that but I love the fact my relationship is private.
“We’re working together on stuff but Dan does bits behind the scenes.
“Everyone knows we’re married but I don’t want to rub it in people’s faces. You row, you love, you laugh, you cry. It’s a normal relationship and exactly what I want.”

Hugh Jackman always knew his wife was ‘the one’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman “knew very early” that his wife Deborra-Lee Furness was “the one”.
The 50-year-old actor has been married to the ‘Real Macaw’ star – with whom he has two adoptive children, Oscar, 18, and Ava, 13 – since 1996, and has said that it only took him a matter of weeks to fall head over heels for his wife, and knew she was the one for him even when she was trying to break off their romance.
He said: “I knew very early, I knew before Deb knew, even when she tried to break up with me, I knew [she was the one]. She kind of [broke up with me], a little bit. Early on, three weeks in. I managed to talk her out of it, thank God. I’m a very indecisive person, Deb really knows this about me. I can count on my hand the amount of times in my life anything has felt that clear to me, and when it happens it’s such a relief for me.
“I just knew 100 percent, I even knew when she was trying to work out reasons to break up with me.”
The couple first met on Australian TV show ‘Correlli’ in 1995, and even though it was before they were romantically involved, Hugh believes working with the 62-year-old actress was “the best experience” he’s ever had with another actor.
He added: “The best experience I ever had, working with another actor [was with Deborra]. This was before we were romantically involved or had any idea that Deborra was interested. There was a chemistry … and every time we had a scene together it was unbelievable. Professionally, I’ve never had anything quite like that again.”
Hugh and Deborra married 11 months after they met, and their lives could have been completely different, because Deborra almost talked Hugh out of accepting his iconic role as Wolverine in the ‘X-Men’ franchise.
In a joint interview for the ‘Aussies in Hollywood with Jenny Cooney’ podcast, Deborra recalled: “There is only one time in my life that I have been wrong. I’m thankful that I was wrong because my children get to go to college and have their tuition paid for.”

Sir Elton John cancels shows due to ear infection

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John cancelled his concert in Florida on Tuesday (27.11.18) after suffering with an “ear infection”.
The 71-year-old music icon was due to take to the stage at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday night as part of his three-year ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ – which will mark the end of his touring days – but was forced to cancel after being struck with an infection in his ear.
Posting the news on Twitter, the arena wrote: “We’re sorry to announce that due to an ear infection, Elton John is unable to perform tonight. The rescheduled Orlando date will be announced in the near future so please hold onto your tickets.”
Many fans were left disgruntled by the cancellation – which came 20 minutes after the show was supposed to start – as they had already parked at the venue and proceeded to purchase merchandise and food ready for the concert to begin.
The arena confirmed that receipts and passes for the parking lots would be honoured on the rescheduled date, so ticket holders won’t have to pay for their parking again.
Replying to one fan, the venue wrote: “We understand your disappointment, Ashley. Elton John was in the building and the news was shared with us immediately prior to the PA announcement being made. Receipts and passes from Amway Center parking lots will be honored for the rescheduled Elton John date in Orlando.”
As well as cancelling his show in Orlando, the ‘Rocket Man’ hitmaker has also been forced to postpone Wednesday’s (28.11.18) concert in Tampa, Florida.
Journalist Veronica Cintron shared the media alert for the postponement on her Twitter account, which read: “Due to an ear infection and doctor’s orders, the sold out show scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Tampa is being postponed to a date to be determined.
“All tickets for the original date are valid for the rescheduled date which will be announced shortly – no exchanges needed. If a guest cannot attend the rescheduled date, refunds are available at point of purchase.”

Katy Perry mourns loss of close friend Angelica Cob-Baehler

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has mourned the passing of her close friend Angelica Cob-Baehler.
The 34-year-old singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (27.11.18) to post a lengthy tribute in honour of the late music executive – who played an important role in Katy’s career – after she lost her battle with cancer last week at the age of 47.
Posting a series of pictures of the pair together, Katy wrote: Six days ago, one of my biggest champions and realest friends, Angelica Cob-Baehler moved on from this place. She was one of the strongest women I have ever known – fighting her cancer like friggin’ Rocky, enduring chemo, immunotherapy, a tracheotomy, feeding tubes for months on end, and experimental cancer treatment trials. I watched her go through many stages for over a year, but a few things remained constant: her sarcastic/wicked sense of humor, her positive outlook, and the incredible love she had for her family. (sic)”
The ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ hitmaker credits Angelica with “willing her into existence” as an artist, and “always having her back” when she was starting out her career.
She continued: “We had a lot of wins together for over 10 years, and I am incredibly grateful she was a born fighter/no s**t-taker because she practically willed me into existence as a young artist when she “stole my files” from limbo at Columbia Records and brought them to life at Capitol Records. She was like a big sister to me, showing me the ropes and always having my back. She never became a yes-person and was quick to check me when I needed checking – that was family.”
Katy closed off her post by asking for fans to donate to Angelica’s favourite charity in her memory.
The ‘Roar’ singer wrote: “I know today is #GivingTuesday, and if you have been a longtime KatyCat and a friend of mine or Geli’s, let’s honor her by donating to her favorite charity, Generosity.org by clicking the link in bio. She may be gone from this place, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in power, my angel, and don’t worry, we got Chapman and the girls. #RIPGeli (sic)”

Adam Levine ‘begged’ Cardi B to be in Girls Like You

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Levine “begged” Cardi B to feature in ‘Girls Like You’.
The Maroon 5 frontman has claimed he was desperate for the 25-year-old rapper to take part in the band’s 2017 hit single, and says he didn’t give her much guidance on what to put in her featured verse because he “knew she was going to murder” it without his input.
When asked what advice he gave Cardi, the 39-year-old singer said: “I told Cardi, ‘I want you to put something down that shows your fierceness as a woman and say it however you want.’ I knew she was going to murder this verse and bring the song to a whole new place. She was vital. I begged her to do it.”
The music video for the track features a star-studded cast of strong female figures – including Ellen Degeneres, Jennifer Lopez, and Sarah Silverman – and Adam says it was important for him to make sure the video showed the band’s “support” toward women.
He said: “The iconography of the video is really important – for all of us to remember as men to support these women. Let’s be pillars of strength and support and not approach it from a defensive standpoint, or one that would suggest I know anything about how a woman would feel. Remain reverent to what is happening and not claim to know. Just be a set of ears.”
And Adam admits he feels so strongly about the “plight of women” because of his two daughters – Dusty Rose, two, and Geo Grace, nine months – whom he has with wife Behati Prinsloo.
When asked by Variety magazine what connected him to the plight of women, he said: “Having little girls. But being a male who is a prominent public figure is a very tricky place to be. There are dangerous waters to navigate. You always want to be on the right side of something you feel passionately about. I have two young daughters, and to think about them being mistreated at all – ever – made my blood boil. So we went for it because I felt that as long as I stayed close to my heart with this concept, I could never go wrong. In the video, I was doing it for my kids and my wife. If anyone doesn’t understand the intentions, f**k ’em.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘knees are shot’

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger has had to change his fitness regime because his “knees are shot”.
The action movie icon and former bodybuilding champion has admitted his workout has taken a different focus, and he revealed he wants to cycle “all over the world”.
Speaking to Men’s Health magazine, he said: “Squatting and all those kind of like heavy leg exercises, I can’t do anymore. My knees are shot. I have to protect my knees because I want to go skiing.
“I do mostly bicycling, so that’s why I want to bicycle all over the world. When I travel, I get around in the bicycle.
“When I go shopping or something, I go on the bicycle, because then you can exercise in the legs and you see the town in a totally different way.”
Arnie, 71, also opened up about his son Patrick’s own training, and he explained he doesn’t have a big influence on the way his offspring gets in shape.
He added: “My sons train themselves and sometimes they train with other trainers. I’m really proud of them.
“Patrick, he works out every day, but he doesn’t want to get too big because of the acting, because he’s being sought after now for romantic roles, not action roles.
“But eventually, when he gets to be like 30, 35, he will go get bigger and then do more action movies. But I love seeing them work out and being into it. It’s a great feeling.”
Meanwhile, the star is envious of the equipment people have access to nowadays, compared to what he had available to him when he was younger.
He said: “The machines that you have today, I wish that I could have used them in addition to what I did, because they’re really amazing (what has happened with the gym equipment business).
“A guy like myself who had shoulder surgery, hip surgery, knee surgery–they can always find an exercise around the injury that I could do.”

Emily Atack’s ex-boyfriend back star to win jungle crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack’s ex-boyfriend Jack Vacher has backed the star to be crowned the winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 28-year-old actress has made no secret about her heart being broken by her partner of five years, and though the 23-year-old estate agent has “moved on”, he’s still supporting her on the show.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Jack said: “I’m sure she’ll do great.
“I’ve moved on and everything.”
Emily – who has had high profile relationships with Dougie Poynter and Harry Styles in the past – previously opened up to her campmate, Noel Edmonds, about her heartbreak and confessed she is doing “soul-searching” whilst she’s in the jungle.
She said: “I’m soul-searching. I had a difficult start to the year. I had a break-up after being with someone five years.
“I’d go into the habit of needing that security, love and acceptance from a guy to make me happy.”
ITV bosses are reportedly keen on a romance between Emily and Nick Knowles.
It’s said that producers have noticed a bit of a spark between the 28-year-old actress and ‘DIY SOS’ star Nick, 56, and they’re hoping it can develop into something during their time in the jungle.
An insider previously said: “Producers think Nick and Emily getting together would make good telly. Nick has a type and Emily fits the bill.
“And she hasn’t minded a famous boyfriend in the past. Everyone is watching closely and hoping for a proper spark.
“They’ve had a couple of moments on screen that producers thought was a good sign. They’re seeing how things develop.”

Mel B disappointed Victoria Beckham won’t rejoin Spice Girls

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B admitted it’s “disappointing” Victoria Beckham wouldn’t take part in a Spice Girls reunion.
The 43-year-old star will go back on the road for a stadium tour with bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner, but the fashion designer won’t be joining them for the comeback shows.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Mel said: “Yeah, it is disappointing, but it’s not in some ways, because you have to be respectful of what she wants to do and you can’t force anybody to do anything.
“But I still live in hope that she is going to join us, and she is a part of our band.”
However, the ‘Wannabe’ singer admitted she’d be love to have a celebrity guest join the on stage during the tour for a special appearance.
Asked who could potentially step in, she added: “You’re asking the wrong person. I’m just gonna say yes, of course, it can happen. I’d have to check in with the other girls first.
“I’m the one [that’s] always thinking about stuff like that, always. And I’m the first one to say, ‘Let’s do this and we’ll introduce Taylor Swift on one song or Adele or Katy Perry.’ I think that’s a great idea ’cause at the end of the day, it has to be a celebration.”
It was previously revealed Victoria won’t be joining the reunion as she is busy focusing on her family and fashion career but previously wished the girls well.
Earlier this month, after news of the reunion was revealed, Victoria wrote on Instagram: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!
“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.
“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls #friendshipneverends (sic)”

Ore Oduba to host Strictly Come Dancing tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba is to host the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ live tour again.
The 33-year-old presenter – who won the show in 2016 – has been confirmed to present the 2019 arena shows and even suggested he may treat fans to his famous jive once again.
He said in a statement: “”I had the best time hosting the 2018 tour, the Strictly fans were as loud and excitable as ever. And I’m sure 2019 will be no different, we’ve got a sensational show planned. And yes – when we hit the road in January – I will be packing my dancing shoes!”
Already confirmed for the tour this year are Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, Dr. Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara, and Stacey Dooley, who will be dancing with Aljaz Skorjanec, rather than her show partner Kevin Clifton, who is committed to stage show ‘Rock of Ages’.
And while Stacey is upset not to be working with Kevin, she’s excited about dancing with Aljaz, who was partnered with Kate Silverton on this year’s show.
She said in a statement: “I will miss Kev, but I am looking forward to putting Aljaz through his paces.
“I’m loving this experience so much. I know people always say that, but it’s so true. To be able to go on tour and perform for the fans all over the UK is such an honour. I’m so excited!”
Ore is very excited about the tour line-up so far.
He tweeted: “Oh yeah @SCD_Live_Tour this line up is sizzling… even more pumped and excited for next year!! Can’t wait to see who else is hitting the road with us in 2019… who could it be? #strictlytour.(sic)”
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli will also be involved in the tour.

Craig Revel Horwood slams Strictly Come Dancing stars over pay complaints

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood has slammed ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s professional dancers for complaining about their salaries.
The 53-year-old judge has hit out at the professionals on the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition after it was claimed they are planning to form a union to fight for a pay rise, because he believes they should be grateful for the exposure the programme gives them.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, he said: “This show puts them in the limelight. If they are doing what they normally do, which is competitive dance up in Blackpool, there would be 500 people interested. There is 12million people interested in this show.
“They have all got Twitter accounts and they are all making money on the side doing something else. I think, ‘Isn’t that enough? Go and do Cats for 200 quid a week and then see how you feel’.”
Professional dancers on ‘Strictly’ are thought to earn about £50,000 for the series, but have pointed out they work much longer hours to train their celebrity partners than the judges do, who earn thousands more.
Craig’s comments echo similar statements made by fellow judge Bruno Tonioli in 2015, when he said: “If you don’t like it, stop moaning and f**k off.”
Meanwhile, the acid-tongued judge caused more drama earlier this month when he slammed host Tess Daly for asking “dull questions” on the live shows.
During a Q&A for his new book ‘In Strictest Confidence’, Craig said: “The book is honest like me but on the telly I wear my judge’s hat. I can’t be myself. I like to joke about and do all that stuff. I might raise an eyebrow or two. In those ten or 20 seconds where I have to answer Tess’s quite dull questions actually … I tend to avoid them and not answer if I’m super honest. If there is anyone here from the press I did not say that. I am BBC. I only have 20 secs to decide what to say about the dance.”

Rita Moreno joins cast Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Moreno is joining the cast of Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’ reboot.
The 86-year old actress played the role of Anita in the original 1961 film adaptation of the 1957 Broadway musical and will now return to the iconic story playing Valentina, a re-conceived version of the character of Doc, the owner of the corner store in which lead male role Tony works.
The original movie was written by award-winning playwright Tony Kushner and the star has admitted that she is “tingling” at the chance to work once again with Tony and director Steven.
She said: “Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself revisiting this seminal work, and to be asked by Steven Spielberg to participate is simply thrilling!
“Then to work together with the brilliant playwright, Tony Kushner – what a glorious stew! I am tingling!”
In the original movie, Rita’s character Anita Palacio is the girlfriend of Bernardo who is the head of the Puerto Rican gang the Sharks, however, Bernardo’s younger sister Maria, who is also a best friend of Anita, falls for Tony, who is the co-founder of white gang the Jets.
Steven revealed that from his “earliest discussions” he had the actress in mind and thinks she gave one of the “greatest musical performances ever filmed”.
He said: “From our earliest discussions, we wanted to include Rita Moreno in our production, her Anita is one of the greatest musical performances ever filmed, and a personal favorite of mine.
“We created an original role for her, and we feel beyond fortunate that Rita will bring her extraordinary gifts as an actress, as well as her deep understanding of ‘West Side Story’ to this production as an executive producer.”
Steven, Kevin McCollum, and Kristie Macosko Krieger are set to produce the movie and filming will begin in the summer of 2019.

Jordan Peele to co-write Candyman film

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Peele will co-write the new ‘Candyman’ horror film.
The 39-year-old filmmaker – who made his directorial debut with the acclaimed 2017 psychological scare fest ‘Get Out’ – is bringing back the cult horror franchise, which began in 1992 and starred Tony Todd as a hook-wielding supernatural killer who appears after his name is said five times in a mirror.
Jordan was previously reported to be producing the project for MGM and Monkeypaw Productions but now it has been revealed he and Win Rosenfeld will also pen the script, which is inspired by legendary horror author Clive Barker’s short story ‘The Forbidden’.
The project will be directed by Nia DaCosta.
Jonathan Glickman – MGM President, Motion Picture Group – said in a statement: “We cannot wait for the world to see what the mind-blowing combination of Jordan, Win, and Nia bring to the legend of Candyman. They have created a story that will not only pay reverence to Clive Barker’s haunting and brilliant source material but is also thoroughly modern and will bring in a whole new generation of fans.”
Like ‘Get Out’, the original ‘Candyman’ was centred around and African/America character – the murderous Candyman – and Peele admits the movie had a huge impact on him when he was younger, especially as Todd also starred in Tom Savini’s 1990 remake of George A. Romero’s zombie classic ‘Night of the Living Dead’.
He said: “The original was a landmark film for black representation in the horror genre. Alongside ‘Night of the Living Dead’, ‘Candyman’ was a major inspiration for me as a filmmaker – and to have a bold new talent like Nia at the helm of this project is truly exciting. We are honored to bring the next chapter in the Candyman canon to life and eager to provide new audiences with an entry point to Clive Barker’s legend.”
The first film spawned two follow-ups ‘Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh’, and ‘Candyman: Day of the Dead’, and Peel’s new movie has been described as “spiritual sequel” to the original and will be a return to neighborhood where the legend began; a now-gentrified section of Chicago where the Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood.
Shooting on the movie is scheduled to begin in spring 2019 and Universal Pictures will release ‘Candyman’ in cinemas in June 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Schumer is launching a clothing line for “women of all shapes”.
The 37-year-old comedian is releasing her own inclusive clothing brand, called Le Cloud – which she co-designed with celebrity stylist Leesa Evans – is set to launch at Saks Off 5th on December 13 with the aim of “being authentic…and empowering women of all ages and sizes to do the same”.
The ‘I Feel Pretty’ star’s collection is meant to feel “light as a cloud” and features tops, skirts and outerwear in fabrics including French terry, satin and crepe and in sizes from XS to XX.
rices range from $38 to $248 and the ‘Snatched’ actress hopes a “Le Cloud customer will feel confident and powerful.”
Amy told WWD: “We are making beautiful, comfortable and wearable clothing that is accessible to real women.
“A Le Cloud customer will feel confident and powerful when wearing these pieces. We take our product seriously, but not ourselves.”
The ‘Trainwreck’ star opened up about negative experiences with some stylists, and revealed that she decided to launch her line after working with Leesa on the 2015 romcom and feeling like she approached her body in “such a different way”.
“People are so used to fitting way smaller actresses or models if I were doing a photo shoot for a magazine or a fitting for a role I was playing, the clothes didn’t look right or fit right.
“I was made to feel like my body was wrong. I was so reticent about my fitting with Leesa, and she just approached it in such a different way.”
Thirty percent of net proceeds from the line will be donated to Community Partners in support of the STYLEFUND project, which was founded by Amy and Leesa and aims to empower women from all economic backgrounds through the use of clothing.
