Emily Blunt: Acting helped me with my childhood stutter

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt says acting helped her overcome her childhood stutter.
The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ star – who has Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with her husband John Krasinski – had a speech impediment when she was growing up and she used to focus on “watching and listening” to people because she “couldn’t speak fluently”.
She said: “Because I couldn’t speak fluently, I watched and listened. I’d be on the Tube, and I’d wonder about people and invent back stories for everyone. There’s always been a natural desire to walk in the shoes of others. It started quite young, because it was the only tool I had to speak properly. I was that kid, upstairs in my room, trying out stuff in the mirror. But I’d never tell anyone about it. It was always very private.”
And the 35-year-old actress admits she “didn’t have a desire to pursue acting”.
She added to Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I didn’t have a desire to pursue acting and I wouldn’t have, if I hadn’t fallen into it. Crazy, isn’t it? But that’s probably why I ended up booking jobs, because I didn’t have any nerves. It was very charmed – rather embarrassingly, in fact.”
Meanwhile, Emily previously revealed she thinks overcoming a childhood stutter has helped to shape her as an adult as the bullying she suffered taught her some important life lessons.
She shared: “I think whatever you have to overcome in life ultimately paves the way [for whom you become as an adult]. I got teased a lot, and to this day, I hate unkindness in people and bullies.”

Michael Sheen’s romance ended over Brexit

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Sheen’s relationship with Sarah Silverman ended because of Brexit and Donald Trump.
The ‘Masters of Sex’ actor split from the 47-year-old comic in February after four years together and he admitted the fact they both wanted to be more politically involved in their home countries following the UK referendum result and the election of the controversial ‘Apprentice’ star contributed to the split.
He said: “We both had very similar drives, and yet to act on those drives pulled us in different directions – because she is American and I’m Welsh.
“After the Brexit vote, and the election where Trump became president, we both felt in different ways we wanted to get more involved.
“That led to her doing her show ‘I Love You America’, and it led to me wanting to address the issues that I thought led some people to vote the way they did about Brexit, in the area I come from and others like it.”
While the pair have remained friends, they don’t regret sacrificing their relationship for the sake of their beliefs.
Michael – who has been working with small grassroots groups in his native Wales – told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I felt a responsibility to do something, but it did mean coming back here – which was difficult for us, because we were very important to each other. But we both acknowledge that each of us had to do what we needed to do.”
The 49-year-old actor – who has daughter Lily, 19, with former partner Kate Beckinsale – also admitted his acting career has taken a back seat while he focuses on his activism.
He said: “I have two jobs now, essentially. Acting takes second place.”
Michael is also considering returning to the theatre, and has been considering a show about “political historical socio-economic stuff, a one-man show with very low production values.”

It comes after Kim launched her first mascara, which comes as a part of the brand’s Glam Bible Smokey Volume 1 set.

Sheridan Smith’s new show Cleaning Up set for three series

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith’s new series ‘Cleaning Up’ is set to run for three series.
The 37-year-old actress has been busy filming the upcoming ITV drama in which she plays Sam, a struggling mum-of-two who uses her job as a cleaner in the City to start insider trading to try and help her family.
Bosses are expecting the programme to be popular with viewers as they have reportedly told cast and crew to clear their schedules for two more series after the debut run.
A source told The Sun’s TV Bizarre column: “Bosses think the ideal scenario is for three series, so people are keeping their diaries open.”
Whilst filming the new programme, Sheridan requested chicken nugget Happy Meals from McDonald’s on her rider.
The ‘Cilla’ star regularly asked for the fast food order so she could chomp on the chicken treats, which are covered in a delicious crispy coating, while she was on set.
An insider previously told the same publication: “Sheridan was militant about making sure she had the meal ready for her every day.”
Sheridan will soon be soon starring alongside Alison Steadman and Sinead Keenan in new 90-minute BBC One drama ‘Care’, which has been written by Jimmy McGovern and Gillian Juckes.
In the show Sheridan plays Jenny, a mother-of-two raising her girls alone after the departure of her husband Dave.
She grows to rely on Mary (Steadman), Jenny’s widowed mother, whose help with childcare allows Jenny to hold down her full-time job at the supermarket but when Mary suffers a devastating stroke and develops dementia, Jenny’s world comes crashing down and everything changes for her and her sister Claire (Keenan) as they must decide how best to care for their ailing mother.

Amy Schumer’s empowering clothing lines

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Schumer wants to “empower women of all ages and sizes” with her new clothing line.
The ‘Trainwreck’ actress is launching ready-to-wear collection Le Cloud, which will debut at Saks Off 5th on December 13, and wants people to feel “confident and powerful” wearing it.
She said: “My instinct is to be authentic and to empower women of all ages and sizes to do the same. We are making beautiful, comfortable and wearable clothing that is accessible to real women. A Le Cloud customer will feel confident and powerful when wearing these pieces. We take our product seriously, but not ourselves.”
Amy has teamed up with Leesa Evans, a celebrity stylist and costume designer, to launch the clothing line after working alongside her at events.
She added: “People are so used to fitting way smaller actresses or models. If I were doing a photo shoot for a magazine or a fitting for a role I was playing, the clothes didn’t look right or fit right. I was made to feel like my body was wrong. I was so reticent about my fitting with Leesa, and she just approached it in such a different way.”
And the 37-year-old actress and comedienne credits Leesa for helping her “feel comfortable in something other than sweatpants”.
She told WWD: “Leesa taught me about proportions, and she taught me that I could feel comfortable in something other than sweatpants. The tools that she gave me for feeling comfortable and feeling that I could reach my full potential, and I was more worthy to be out in the world in an outfit. I wanted to pass that on to every woman. That is my truest, deepest reason I wanted to do this. And wanting it to be affordable and comfortable and look great.”

Game of Thrones reunion confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — HBO is reuniting several ‘Game of Thrones’ cast members who were killed off in the fantasy series.
It was confirmed on Wednesday (28.11.18) that the broadcaster is creating a special featurette which reunites a number of actors who didn’t survive in the drama, including Sean Bean whose alter ego, Lord of Winterfell Ned Stark, was brutally beheaded in the first series.
The special – which is hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien – was shot in Belfast earlier this year and ‘Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa, who played ruthless khalasar Khal Drogo in the drama series, is also suspected to be part of the special.
Other characters who didn’t live through the action include Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen), Robb Stark (Richard Madden) and Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) to name a few.
The reunion special is to be included on a Blu Ray box set which will contain every season of the show, set for release in late 2019.
‘Game of Thrones’ – which is based on the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ novel series by George R.R. Martin – will end after Season 8 airs and David Nutter, one of the show’s directors, insists fans will not be disappointed by the climax.
Nutter said: “It’s such a complete and satisfying finale and where the show goes to, and the journey that it takes. That it lives up to the hype and lives up to why the audience loves the show so much, It’s going to be something quite, very special.”
Season 8 will premiere in April 2019.

Michael Bublé: My wife helps me keep perspective

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Bublé’s wife Luisana Lopilato helps him “keep perspective”.
The ‘Love You Anymore’ singer is so grateful to have his “centred, kind and beautiful” wife – with whom he shares Noah, five, Elias, two, and Vida, four months – with him at all times because it helps him to “keep it real”.
He told People magazine: “In any good marriage, I hope that your partner is a big part in keeping it real. My wife helps me keep perspective. She’s a centred, kind, beautiful human being who has her life together. In the culture of celebrity, it’s easy to lose yourself sometimes, and it’s wonderful to have someone who is such a solid person who can bring you right down to earth if you need.”
Meanwhile, Michael previously admitted that dealing with his son’s cancer battle put his life into perspective and it made him realise that there were more important things in his life than being a celebrity.
He explained: “All of the things I thought were such a big deal, like my insecurities, what people think of me, how many will this sell, what will the critics say – they went in a moment. Suddenly, all I could think was, ‘Why did I ever allow that in? Why didn’t I see that I have all I need right here, that everything else is fluff?’ Throughout that time I prayed and meditated, and promised myself that from on I would just be real.
“It is still very painful obviously. I don’t go into detail because it is not my story, it is my kid’s story, and if he wants to tell it, he will.”

Brigitte Nielsen: Women need to be aware

OHMYGOSSIP — Brigitte Nielsen claims women need to take responsibility for their personal safety, despite #MeToo movement.
The movie icon has shared her views on the campaign – which has resulted in a higher awareness of sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry – and whilst she believes women who have been victims of serious sexual assault and rape must be supported she believes they are situations that ladies need to educate themselves about.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, she said: “#MeToo, it’s good for women that really need it. We need to stick together more. But I also think women have to be careful how they use it.
“If women want to have equal rights and wear the pants you have to speak up and don’t accept an invitation at 11 in the evening at a hotel thinking you are going to sign a movie deal. It’s not going to happen.”
During her interview, Brigitte also discussed what it’s like being a mother to her baby girl Frida – who she welcomed into the world with husband Mattia Dessi in June – at the age of 55 and how happy she was to find out she was having a daughter.
The mum-of-five – who also has four sons from previous relationships – said: ” My soul came out, my heart came out of my body. I thought, ‘Here’s my princess.’ I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I had the most amazing relationship with my mother and I just so much want to create that wonderful relationship with Frida that my mother has given me. We are on track right now.”
Brigitte – who got pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment – also revealed she chosen not to go through the route of gender selection.
The ‘Creed II’ star said: “I have four boys who are all amazing … and now little Frida. When you go through trying for so many years, you don’t think about boy or girl, you just think about whether they are going to be healthy, is it going to happen or not happen?”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Home Alone’ star Macaulay Culkin is changing his middle name and he wants his fans to pick him a new one.
The 38-year-old actor has decided his current middle moniker Carson is “very Irish” so he is giving his fans the opportunity to log on to his website BunnyEars.com and select their favourite name from a list of five.
In an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, he said: “I was staring at my passport recently and I was looking over my middle name. My current middle name is Carson. It’s very Irish. The five possible names are; Macaulay Culkin, Shark Week, TheMcRibIsBack – a nod to limited edition McDonald’s pork sandwich – Publicity Stunt, which was suggested by his girlfriend Brenda Song, and Kieran, which has been put forward by his brother who shares the same name.
Revealing why his full name is on the list, he said with a smile: “So if somebody comes up to me at the airport and says, ‘Excuse me, are you Macaulay Culkin?’ I go, ‘Well, Macaulay Culkin is my middle name.’ ”
As Christmas approaches, Macaulay admits he does get recognised more due to his performances as Kevin McCallister in festive classics ‘Home Alone’ and the sequel ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’.

He said: “She’s flipping through the channels and she’s like, ‘Eh, you wanna watch it?’ I’m like, ‘You wanna watch ‘Home Alone’ with Macaulay Culkin, don’t you?’ And she’s like, ‘Yes!'”
When asked if he had ever uttered any of the film’s most famous lines to Brenda, he added: “I have indulged that. Most of the time I’m just muttering my lines under my breath, like, ‘Keep the change you filthy animal.’ Whatever gets her motor running, I guess.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore “completely fell in love” with Taylor Goldsmith after a single hug.
The ‘This Is Us’ star had been chatting with the musician on Instagram for a while before they went out on their first date but she admits it was love at first sight.
She said: “I left that dinner completely smitten but we didn’t hold hands or kiss or anything. I completely fell in love with him without having done anything more than given him a hug good night.”
And the 34-year-old actress and singer feels she really “lucked out” with Taylor.
She added: “He’s undeniably good person in every respect. I wasn’t expecting it but I really lucked out. I would go through everything that I went through a million times over if it meant landing Taylor in my life again and meeting him.”

She told the December issue of Australia’s ELLE magazine: “I love Taylor, and he’s my best friend, but my relationship with him is very different from the way that I’m fulfilled by my girlfriends.”
Mandy and Taylor tied the knot earlier this month in front of family and friends in an “intimate” ceremony in Los Angeles.

Paris Hilton isn’t thinking about dating right now

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton isn’t even “thinking about” dating right now.
The DJ and socialite insists she is focusing on her work and family following her split from ‘Leftovers’ actor Chris Zylka and is “busy being a boss-babe”.
She told E! News: “I’m amazing. I am busy being a boss-babe, running an empire. That is all I have time for. I barely have time for myself, let alone anything else. I am not even thinking about [dating] right now. I am literally so busy. I hardly have time to see my own family, let alone do that. I am so happy. I just love my life. My advice is to always be happy and feel good about yourself – because life is truly too short.”
Meanwhile, Paris previously admitted she thought her marriage to Chris was going to be her own version of a “Disney” happy ending.
She said: “I’m doing really good. I’m just really having my me time. I just feel that when I fall in love, I fall in love fast and hard. It was this whirlwind romance and I’ve always been obsessed with Disney stories and love stories, and I thought it was going to be my happy ending and I just realised after time that it wasn’t the right decision.”
And the 37-year-old star hasn’t ruled out getting married and having children in the future.
She added: “You know, one day, I would love to get married and have children, but for right now I’m just focusing on myself and my work.”
A source previously claimed that Paris’ wedding to Chris was “never going to happen”.
They said: “This wedding was never going to happen. They never had an engagement party and Chris’ parents never even met Paris’ parents. They postponed the 11/11 date without a new date. No one is surprised by this at all. Paris got caught up in wanting a wedding and she just didn’t think about the marriage part. It was never going to work with Chris.”

Louis Emerick’s Coronation Street comeback has been confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Emerick will return to ‘Coronation Street’ over Christmas.
The former ‘Brookside’ actor appeared on the cobbles for three months earlier this year when he made his debut as Liz McDonald’s (Beverley Callard) love interest Mike Thornberry, and now his previously reported comeback has been confirmed.
A spokesperson told the Liverpool ECHO newspaper: “He is back on screen for a few episodes around Christmas time.”
The news of his comeback comes after reports over the summer that new ‘Corrie’ boss Iain MacLeod had re-hired Louis for a “major storyline”.
A TV source previously said: “Producer Iain MacLeod felt that Louis’s character had more to give and wants to involve him in a major storyline.
“Producers want to test the water and see if he could be a more permanent fixture.”
As well as striking up a brief romance with Mike, Liz was also recently romantically involved with new Rovers Return landlord Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) – and Mike is set to divulge the pair’s infidelity in front of the former factory boss’ new punters.
The insider added: “His character Mike will reveal the extent of Liz’s affair with married Johnny Connor in the Rovers Return to a room-full of shocked locals.”
News of Louis’ return will not come as too much of a surprise to die-hard ‘Corrie’ fans, after he previously dropped a huge hint he might reprise his role at some point.
In response to a fan who appeared to be blaming Corrie’s former series producer Kate Oates for his short stint on the show, Louis replied: “to be fair to #KateOates I knew the deal when I joined, and hey,the door will be left open, #MikeThornberry ain’t ready to give up on Liz yet x (sic)”
He also tweeted another fan: “i was only on a 3month contract! (sic)”

Stephanie Waring is missing her ‘best friends’ on Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring has lost her “best friends” on the ‘Hollyoaks’ set.
The 40-year-old soap star – who first appeared as Cindy Cunningham back in 1996 – admitted she is finding it tough coping without working with her real-life pals Amanda Clapham and David Kennedy, who played her character’s daughter and husband respectively.
Amanda’s alter ego Holly – Cindy’s daughter – recently drove off into the sunset while David’s character Dirk Savage tragically died, and it’s made a difference during filming.
Stephanie told Inside Soap: “I was very close to Amanda Clapham and David, they were my best friends. It is hard sometimes not having them here – there are two holes in ‘Hollyoaks.’ ”
The actress first played Cindy for five years until 2001, before making brief returns in 2002 and 2004 and eventually making a full time return a decade ago.
Her character has been through a lot over the years, but Stephanie has suggested that could be more to come with plenty of “life in the old dog yet”.
She added: “She’s done so much already. She’s been married six times she has children, she’s killed someone and she has bipolar… I’d like to think [her next steps] would be something that challenged me.”
Despite the soap seeing a lot of change recently Stephanie, 40, heaped praise on co-star Stephanie Davis, 25, ahead of her return as Sinead O’Connor last month.
She recently said: “Do you know what, she has really grown up a lot and she has really taken control of everything in her life and everything that has happened with people.
“She is a really truly wonderful human being and I couldn’t be happier to have her back on the show.”
