Ryan Seacrest found love through food

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Seacrest fell in love with his girlfriend because of her gluten-free pancakes.
The ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ presenter was drawn to Shayna Taylor’s intelligence and beauty when they first met in 2013, but when she revealed she made an “amazing” breakfast, he was completely smitten.
He told People magazine: “It was the first time we were together, and she said, ‘I make these amazing gluten-free pancakes,’ and I said, ‘What?! Well, tell me everything!’
“That is all it took for me to really fall.”
And the 26-year-old blogger thinks she and Ryan have great “food chemistry”.
The couple relocated from New York to Los Angeles in 2017 for the 43-year-old star’s job on ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ and have embraced the new chapter in their lives.
Shayna told People magazine: “Moving to a new city together was fun because we were also having a new chapter together.”
Despite their busy schedules, the couple think it’s important to make time for one another with activities such as boxing, yoga and tango lessons.
Ryan said: “For the last six months, we both wake up an hour earlier than we used to so we have time together to work out, take a walk, take our time without having to rush. … It’s been wonderful.
The pair think family is very “important” but they are trying to live for the moment, rather than plan for the future.
He said: “Family is so important to me, and to Shayna as well, but I’ve always tried to put life into a master schedule with deadlines, and I don’t want to do that.
“We both try to actually be in this moment, feel this connection, enjoy it and let it grow.”

Nicole Kidman’s daughter wants an Emmy

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman’s daughter wants to win an Emmy award.
The 51-year-old actress scooped two trophies for ‘Big Little Lies’ – one for her portrayal of Celeste Wright and the other for producing the show – at the 2017 ceremony and offered to give the statuettes to her children Sunday, 10, and seven-year-old Faith.
However, her older daughter declined because she’d rather win one of her own in the future.
Nicole – who has Sunday and Faith with husband Keith Urban – said on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’: “Actually I offered, when I won the Emmy for Big Little Lies, I won one for producing and one for acting, which was an incredible thing to happen.
“I was like, ‘OK, I can put one on your shelf, Sunday, and one on your shelf, Faith, and they’re yours.’
“Sunday didn’t want it.’ She said, ‘Oh, I want to earn my own.’ I’m like, ‘You go, girl!’ ”
When she picked up her awards, Nicole – who also has adopted adult children Isabella and Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise – pledged to give the trophies to her youngest children.
She said in her acceptance speech: “I also am a mother and wife. I have two little girls, Sunny and Faith, and my darling Keith [Urban], who I ask to help me pursue this artistic path and they have to sacrifice so much for it.
“So this is yours. I want my little girls to have this on their shelf and to go, every time my mama didn’t put me to bed, it’s because of this! I got something!”
It was previously revealed the youngsters will have cameos in the upcoming second season of ‘Big Little Lies’ and they have enchanted the rest of the cast while on set.
Zoe Kravitz previously said: “Yeah, they’re around a lot and I sometimes can’t tell when they’re actually in a scene or just hanging out.
“But they’re so sweet and really really smart. You can tell they were raised by Nicole Kidman.”

Gisele Bundchen: I’ll work till the day I die

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen thinks she’ll keep working until the days she dies.
The 38-year-old model formally announced her retirement from the catwalk in 2015, before making a one-off comeback at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil, and Gisele has now admitted to working harder than ever before.
She confessed: “I’ve never worked so hard in my life, actually.
“I think I’ll retire only the day I die, because I love working. I love creating. I think that’s why we’re here: to keep creating, expanding and learning.”
However, Gisele – who has kids Vivian, six, and Benjamin, nine, with NFL legend Tom Brady – revealed she’s looking forward to the day her husband gives up the game.
Speaking about the New England Patriots quarterback, chat show host Ellen DeGeneres explained: “I’m a New Orleans Saints fan, and it would help me tremendously if your husband would retire.”
Gisele replied: “I think you should talk with him about that. I haven’t been successful.”
Gisele admitted she has concerns about the physical impact of Tom’s work.
But, on the other hand, she also feels she ought to support him in following his dreams.
She said: “I definitely wouldn’t want to have his job, that’s for sure. I’ll stay happy with mine.
“I think it’s definitely something you get concerned with, but he loves it so much. You gotta let him do what he loves.”
Gisele subsequently revealed that while Tom is best known for his skills on the sports field, he also has another hidden talent.
She revealed: “He’s an amazing waffle maker … He actually makes the batter and jokes with me, ‘I can’t give you the secret, otherwise you won’t need me anymore.’ He has some secret recipe; I’m sure there’s some packaged thing involved.
“But I have never seen him making it because he literally won’t let me see it. He says, ‘Then you won’t need me.’ I say, ‘OK! That’s fine.’ It tastes delicious. I can’t stop eating them.”

Beverley Callard misses Anne Kirkbride ‘every day’

OHMYGOSSIP — Beverley Callard still misses Anne Kirkbride “every single day” on the ‘Coronation Street’ set.
The 61-year-old actress – who plays Liz McDonald on the ITV soap – was left devastated when her former ‘Corrie’ co-star, who played Deirdre Barlow, passed away in January 2015 from breast cancer aged 60, and Bev still thinks about her fellow former cobbles resident all the time.
She said: “I’m still in touch with her brother, and his wife Jackie, and her two nephews, who are really talented musicians.
“It will be four years in January, believe it or not. It’s gone so fast, especially at work.
“I miss her every single day. I do, honestly.
“Liz and Deirdre were just great. We knew exactly what each other would do and how we would play a scene, so yeah I do miss her.”
One of Bev’s recent ‘Corrie’ storylines has seen her sleep with Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), whose wife Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) was left devastated, but the actress doesn’t think her character would’ve done such a thing to another woman.
She said: “I have to tell you, when they first gave me the scripts and Liz slept with Johnny I was like no, no I don’t want to do this.
“Because Liz wouldn’t do that to another woman, I don’t think.
“I don’t think she would have slept with a married man, but I have no say in that.
“More often than not you get scripts and you just love them and think, ‘This is amazing,’ but occasionally you can think ‘I just don’t think she would do that.’ ”
As well as some of the scripts, Bev is also not a big fan of some of Liz’s outfits, admitting she is reluctant to step out of her dressing room because of the “horrific” garments her character likes to wear.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she added: “They are disgusting, sometimes I go into the dressing room and the clothes are there and they’re just sort of laid on a chair for you to wear and sometimes I look and think ‘I dare not set foot outside of this dressing room.’
“They are horrific.”

Portia De Rossi thinks Ellen DeGeneres should quit show

OHMYGOSSIP — Portia De Rossi wants Ellen DeGeneres to quit her talk show.
The 60-year-old comic has fronted ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ since 2003 and though she recently extended her contract up to the summer of 2020, she had been close to declining and her wife urged her to turn down the deal in order to do something else.
Portia said: “”I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and stand-up that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity.
“There are other things she could tackle.
“I don’t see the end of her show as her career ending.”
However, Ellen’s brother, stand-up comic Vance DeGeneres advised her to stay on, arguing the country needs her positivity.
But Ellen told the New York Times newspaper: “[Portia] gets mad when my brother tells me I can’t stop.”
Later this month, the ‘Finding Dory’ star’s first stand-up special in 15 years, ‘Relatable’, will broadcast on Netflix and her brother thinks the programme allowed her to “break out” from her talk show.
Vance said: “After doing the show for 16 years, it’s second nature. She wanted to break out of, not a rut, but a mould.”
For Ellen, the special has allowed her to show more of herself than she can on her daytime programme.
She said: “I wanted to show all of me. The talk show is me, but I’m also playing a character of a talk-show host. There’s a tiny, tiny bit of difference.”
When it comes to her talk show, Ellen just wants her audience to go away feeling good.
She said: “It’s escapism for what’s going on, one hour of feeling good.
“At the core it’s a comedy show. But if it’s not funny, at least it feels good.”

Kingdom Choir loved working with ‘down-to-earth’ Harry and Meghan

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were very “down-to-earth” when they met with the members of Kingdom Choir to finalise what songs they would sing at the couple’s wedding.
The London gospel group gained global recognition when they performed a unique version of Ben E. King song ‘Stand By Me’ at the royal couple’s nuptials at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle back in May, a performance that was witnessed by a star-studded congregation and a global TV audience of approximately two billion people.
Several members of the choir got to meet with Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, at Kensington Palace ahead of the ceremony to finalise the details of their performance and conductor Karen Gibson has revealed they were just both “really lovely people” and a pleasure to sing for.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph newspaper, she said: “The really hard work came before rehearsals, when we struggled to get the right feel and style. [Meghan and Harry] decided they wanted ‘Stand by Me’ during the ceremony, and a medley of ‘Amen’ and ‘This Little Light of Mine’ afterwards. But we couldn’t figure out how they wanted us to sing it. Every time we offered a recording of an arrangement they would say it was too gospely. Six of us went off to Kensington Palace to meet the couple. We just came up with something on the spot, and they liked it immediately. They were very approachable, very down-to-earth, really lovely people. And they seemed to like what we did on the day.”
And Karen has confirmed that the initial approach for them to sing at the wedding came from Harry’s father Prince Charles and not, as many believed, from American bride Meghan – who worked as an actress before marrying into the British royal family starring in drama series ‘Suits’.
The 55-year-old choir leader said: “Actually it came from Prince Charles. He’s the one who loves gospel.”
Since the wedding, Kingdom Choir signed a record deal with Sony Music, recorded an advert for Coca-Cola, performed at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Sydney, Australia, and in November sang at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
They will also appear on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas special to be broadcast on Christmas Day (25.12.18).

Len Goodman is not in touch with Strictly Come Dancing judges

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman doesn’t keep in touch with the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judges.
The 74-year-old professional dancer and former judge on the popular BBC show hasn’t kept in contact with his former colleagues, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli, because he prefers to spend his free time with his family.
Len told Good Housekeeping magazine: “No, [I’m not in touch with the judges] – I’m a geezer!
“No, I don’t meet up with them.
“I met up with Bruno because we were judges on the American version [‘Dancing with the Stars’] but Craig lives in the wilds somewhere and Darcey has a family.
“And I’d rather be with my family. I’d rather be with my grandchildren. I’m just enjoying myself.”
The dancer believes that current head judge Shirley Ballas – who succeeded his place on the panel in 2017 – has done “very well” in replacing him.
He mused: “If you take over from someone, you’re always compared to them, to a degree, and I think she’s done very well.
“She’s been true to herself, she’s not trying to be what she’s not, and I think she’s done a very good job.”
While Len believes Ashley Roberts is the best dancer remaining in the competition, he predicts the public may sympathise with underdog Joe Sugg and vote for him to win the Glitterball Trophy this weekend.
He said: “I think Ashley can already dance quite a bit … If you go to stage school, you may not be learning the waltz, but you do learn about movement and coordination and rhythm and timing, which will help in any form of dance. Any experience is good.
“Joe is probably – out of the four that is left – is probably the worst one, I don’t know for sure, but I think people admire him. Some of them have climbed hills, he’s probably climbed mountains.”

Ruby Bhogal spent ‘a lot of money’ competing on Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruby Bhogal could’ve gone on a “really nice holiday” with the money she spent competing on ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 29-year-old project manager – who was runner-up to champion Rahul Mandal in this year’s series of the Channel 4 baking competition – spent a fortune on kitchen equipment during the season, but she admits it was an “amazing experience”.
She told Vulture: “It was nice enough that the show gave us a little stipend.
“But yeah, I spent a lot of money. I never did the final math, but let’s just say I could’ve gone on a really nice holiday with that money.
“The thing is, I didn’t have a lot of equipment in my kitchen that other bakers usually have. Like, I didn’t have a proper stand mixer.
“I was using a wooden spoon or a hand-whisk.
“So I paid for some equipment, but I can’t complain.
“It was an amazing experience even if the price was massive in the end.”
Ruby says her love for food encouraged her to apply for the show, even though she never dreamed that she would be able to compete on the programme yet alone progress to the final.
She said: “I was out of a job for a few months after moving back to London, and I came across one of the baking books that was in my house.
“It was really by chance and it gave me something to do, and it quickly turned into something I loved.
“I love how food brings people together, and I want to make people happy through food.
“I saw the call for the application on television, and I honestly thought, “Why not? What’s the worst that can happen if I don’t get through?
“Never in a million years did I ever think I would actually get my foot into that tent, and I managed to make my way into the finals.”

Marlon Dingle’s Christmas chunder

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Charnock will throw up a “chunky fruit shake” twice on Emmerdale’s Christmas Day episode.
The 50-year-old actor’s alter-ego Marlon Dingle is supposed to have a Christmas Day (25.12.18) to remember this year after his significant other Jessie Grant plans a surprise wedding for the couple, but he manages to over-indulge on Christmas Eve (24.12.18) drinks, leaving him a little worse for wear on his big day.
He said: “This year is a real treat for me because I get to throw up twice on British television on Christmas Day.
“I thought, ‘Can we show this on Christmas Day when people are having their turkey?’ But they seemed fine with it. So I really went for it.
“It was fruit, a chunky fruit shake! Mmm delightful. And in the second vomiting scene I throw up in a wedding guest’s hat!”
Despite the Woolpack chef over-tipping it the night before, Mark revealed his alter-ego’s nuptials turn out to be “very romantic”.
He said: “Marlon’s just overwhelmed by the surprise wedding and he’s also very light-headed because he got so hammered the day before.
“I don’t know whether being sick on your wedding day is a bad sign or not but coming out of that is a really delightful wedding. It turns out to be very romantic.”
As well as enjoying shooting his vomiting scenes, Mark also had fun filming a comical moment when his character is hammered on Christmas Eve.
He added to What’s On TV magazine: “On Christmas Eve you will see me falling out of shot, visually it is funny.
“But the director said you don’t need a crash pad you are just going to fall back into someone’s arms. And when we did it, it really was funny. You always know it is funny when the crew laugh.”

Susannah Constantine injured ahead of Strictly performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Susannah Constantine is worried about performing in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ final because she’s injured.
The 57-year-old presenter was the first voted off this year’s show but she’ll be returning to the floor with her professional partner Anton du Beke at the weekend, and she’s warned the dancer not to expect too much from her because of the pain she’s in.
She said: “I have torn an intercostal muscle and it’s incredibly painful because it’s the muscle that holds the ribs together.
“Lots of people get it when they do ‘Strictly’. Kate Silverton has got the same injury and Stacey Dooley did it as well. It is quite common.
“You just have to wait for it to heal and I am still in recovery.
“I’ve said to Anton, ‘You either have to carry me or I’m not going to move and I’m just going to stand there.’ I can be like a maypole and everyone can dance around me.”
Susannah was devastated when she was first voted off the show and compared the feeling to being dumped by a boyfriend.
She added to Closer magazine: “It was gutting being voted out. It was absolutely the worst feeling. I felt like I had been dumped by a boyfriend, which is why I had my hair cut afterwards.
“On the show, when I went out on that dance floor, I just went to pieces.
“I was never going to get over that, however long I stayed in there – whether I went out first or last – and even with Anton, who was so amazing and supportive, I just couldn’t get over that fear.”

Miley Cyrus calls Liam Hemsworth her ‘survival partner’

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus calls Liam Hemsworth her “survival partner”, not her fiance.
The 26-year-old singer praised her actor partner for helping save their pets from the devastating wildfires that destroyed their Malibu home and though he thinks the new label she’s given him isn’t particularly romantic, she couldn’t think of anything better.
She said: “Liam, I have never loved him more for this.”
Asked whether Liam is her fiance, Miley told ‘The Howard Stern Show’: “Yeah, kind of … ish. I call him my survival partner now and he thinks it’s not romantic, but I learned that it is.
“That is why you pair up with someone, is for survival, and he was so incredible. He got all of the animals out.”
However, Miley did lose her treasured song-writing book in the wildfires and admitted the destruction of her hand-written lyrics was the most devastating aspect of the blaze for her.
Miley confessed: “The hardest thing for me to lose was every song, including ‘Malibu’ – I lost because I always write it on paper.
“[Inside the house] was my song-writing book that I always wrote the lyrics in the car, so that’s gone.”
Asked why Liam didn’t save the book, Miley replied: “He grabbed his camera.
“I asked him, ‘What did you get me?’ He said, ‘My laptop and my camera.'”
Following the wildfires, Miley took to Instagram to explain that although she was devastated to have lost her home, she still considered herself to have been fortunate.
She wrote: “Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. (sic)”

Steve Carell hit by car

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Carell was hit by a car by an excited fan.
The ‘Beautiful Boy’ actor was riding his bike when he was struck from behind by a vehicle and though the impact catapulted him over the handlebars, he came away unscathed, and the “distraught” driver was left stunned when she realised who she’d ploughed into.
Speaking on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, he said: “I actually got hit by a car a couple weeks ago.
“I was riding, pretty fast road. I made a turn, and I didn’t see the car behind me, and they hit me from behind. So I went up over the handlebars.
“It’s a weird experience because everything just slows down. I thought, ‘Well, I’m gonna tuck and roll.’ And I rolled, and I got up, and I was fine. Luckily everything was fine.
“The woman who was driving the car jumped out. She was distraught obviously, and I went over to her, and my bike was sort of stuck under the front of her car, and she’s saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! It’s Steve Carell!’
“She was so excited that she hit me. It was really kind of a fun experience, a fun fan encounter.”
The 60-year-old presenter suggested Steve should opt for an “all-leather” outfit in future to prevent his clothes getting “scuffed up” as they did in the accident.
And the 56-year-old star promised: “If you get me a leather onesie bike outfit, I will ride it over here someday.”
While she didn’t produce a leather oneside, Ellen did give the ‘Foxcatcher’ star a light-up yellow vest and a blinking helmet with a flag coming out of it, which Steve quickly put on.
Ellen said: “So you don’t get hit. I want people to see you. I don’t want anyone to hit you again. No one is going to hurt you now.”
Her guest replied: “I’m gonna wear this. I’m actually gonna wear this. And I’m gonna ride right by your studio.”

Tara Reid sues Sharknado producers for $100m

OHMYGOSSIP — Tara Reid has sued the producers of ‘Sharknado’ for $100 million for using images with her likeness on slot machines.
The 42-year-old actress – who played the part of April in the fantasy thriller franchise – has insisted her contract with Asylum Entertainment and SYFY Media Productions did not give the producers the right to use and profit from the use of her image on any branded products from “manufacturers of slot machines, gambling products and beer makers”.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, the ‘American Pie’ star accused them of “false endorsement” and “misappropriation of celebrity likeness”.
Tara is seeking substantial damages as they have reportedly profited millions of dollars from the machines.
The actress’ contract also stated she did not want her face to be used on items related to tobacco or of things of a sexual nature.
As well as the financial reimbursement, Tara has demanded an injunction banning her image from being used on the machines ever again.
The lawsuit comes after the ‘Cruel Intentions’ star admitted she thought ‘Sharknado’ was the “stupidest movie” ever when she was shown the script.
Tara confessed she nearly rejected the role because she wasn’t impressed by the concept.
She admitted: “I remember when I received the script, I was like ‘This is the stupidest movie I’ve ever read in my life.’
“And I was like, ‘I’m not going to do it as this is just re*****d as sharks are there in LA and taking over Beverly Hills,’ and I thought what a stupid movie.”
In fact, if it wasn’t for her friends changing her mind, Tara wouldn’t have starred in the franchise at all.
She recalled: “I was out to dinner with friends and I was telling them about it and they laughed so hard that it hurt.
“And they were like ‘You have to do this movie, like, it’s so funny. You know, like, it’s so bad that it’s good.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union has defended kissing her infant daughter on the lips.
The 46-year-old actress – who has four-week-old Kaavia with basketball legend Dwyane Wade – has hit back at her critics amid accusations that kissing her baby daughter on the lips during a recent Instagram video was unhygienic.

Miley Cyrus ‘trusts the universe’

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus believes in “trusting the universe”.
The 26-year-old pop star has joined forces with Mark Ronson for the track ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’, and Miley thinks their collaboration has happened at the perfect time in her life.
The singer – whose Malibu home was recently burned down in the California wildfires – reflected: “I believe in trusting the universe and that everything works out when it should. Any time before this would not have been right.
“Now is the perfect timing – it’s just such a timely song, both for me in my personal life and for what’s going on in the world. So, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Miley also praised Mark for “trusting” her with the concept of the ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ video, which touches on a number of political and social issues.
She explained: “Mark was very trusting about my ideas.
“It’s all about what is heartbreaking to us in society every single day – waking up to the news of violence, judgement and hypocrisy. It’s about a deeper heartbreak than losing love in a romance or relationship.”
Mark is a long-time fan of Miley, and he revealed he’s been waiting for four years to work with the chart-topping pop star.
He said on ‘The Graham Norton Show’: “I saw her singing ’50 Ways to Leave Your Lover’ on TV and was transfixed, then basically stalked her for four years!”
Mark – who has previously worked with the likes of Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars – also admitted he had minimal influence over the video for ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’.
He quipped: “Miley is such a visionary. Which guitars to use was my domain.”
