Courtney Love obtains restraining order against ex-manager

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Love has obtained a restraining order against her former manager.
The Hole singer accused Sam Lutfi – who was famously Britney Spears’ manager at the height of her public meltdown in the mid-2000s – of harassing her for money via phone, text messages and email, with the contents of the correspondence described to The Blast as “filthy, nasty, and threatening”.
And now Sam has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from the 54-year-old rocker, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain – whose father is Courtney’s late husband Kurt Cobain – and her sister Jaimee, after the order was granted.
Courtney’s lawyer, Howard King, said: “The escalating verbal harassment and threats of Sam Lutfi left no choice for Courtney and her family but to seek protection. The Cobains are grateful for the anti-harassment order issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court against Mr. Lutfi and the powers it provides law enforcement to assure that Mr. Lutfi terminates all contact with the family.”
Courtney and Sam are currently both being sued by Frances’ ex-husband, Isaiah Silva, for allegedly breaking into his house to steal Kurt’s famous MTV Unplugged guitar, which is currently in the musician’s possession and was central to the former couple’s divorce dispute.
The pair reached a property settlement in May, six months after their divorce was finalised, and the agreement saw the 33-year-old musician allowed to keep the instrument but not receive spousal support, despite asking for $25,000 a month.
Isaiah also had to foot his own legal bills but Frances, 25, was allowed to keep the Los Angeles home they bought together.
Meanwhile, in 2008, Britney obtained a restraining order against Sam, who her father Jamie – who was named co-conservator of her affairs following her meltdown – claims had drugged the ‘Toxic’ singer and prevented her from making phone calls in an attempt to control her.
The manager later sued the ‘Womanizer’ hitmaker and her family for defamation and the case was settled years later.

Ellen DeGeneres craved a ‘challenge’ prior to stand-up return

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen DeGeneres returned to stand-up comedy because she was craving a “challenge”.
The 60-year-old TV star has ended her 15-year hiatus from the stand-up scene with her new Netflix special, ‘Relatable’ and she admitted she initially quit because she was “done” with being on stage after 20 years.
Ellen – who has hosted ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ since 2003 – said: “I was done with it, you know? I did it for like 20 years. I used to joke, when I was touring, ‘Someday, you’ll all come to me.’ And now they do. So I just stopped going out.”
The presenter admitted to fellow TV host Jimmy Kimmel that she used to find touring to be an exhausting experience.
However, she also missed the challenge of writing new material and performing it in front of a live audience.
Ellen – who is married to actress Portia de Rossi – shared: “It was my life for 20 years, and it was touring, and it was really hard because it was the beginning, and no one knows who you are. So when I was done with it, I was done.
“And then it had been 15 years and I decided I miss it and [thought] it would be a challenge to do another one, and I just decided to start writing. And I’m really happy with it.”
The ‘Finding Dory’ star also revealed she was determined that ‘Relatable’ would reflect a different side of her personality – one that isn’t often seen on her TV show.
She explained: “People know me from my talk show but they don’t – I mean, a lot of people know that I did stand-up, but I’ve been on the air for 16 years, and [some people] just know my talk show.
“I wanted them to know that I did something different.”

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell want their daughters to be kind

OHMYGOSSIP — Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell want their daughters to be charitable towards others.
The 43-year-old actor and his wife – who have five-year-old Lincoln and three-year-old Delta together – don’t want their children to feel “privileged”, and would rather they were able to help others.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We’re in an interesting situation where our kids are pretty privileged, and we weren’t, and so [we’re] trying to instill in them what we picked up along the way.
“You gotta be conscious of that and, you know, put an effort into explaining to them, like, ‘Hey, we have a bunch, and there’s a bunch of people who don’t have a bunch.’ ”
Dax recently played the part of Santa Claus for Amazon Deliver across Los Angeles, which included giving gifts to kids at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
He quipped: “A part of it that is motivated by me being an OK person, but really, now that I have kids, you’re always trying to set an example for them that you hope they’ll emulate.
“Because I’m setting other examples that I don’t want them to emulate. So I gotta counteract that.”
Meanwhile, Dax pointed to Kristen, 38, and her own charity work and said he can only hope to achieve a small level of her own generosity.
He added: “She’s a better person than me by a factor of at least six. But still, even if I do one-sixth of what she’s doing, that’s still a lot more than I ever thought I was going to do.”
His comments come after the ‘Frozen’ actress revealed she’s “confident” she “chose the right person”.
She previously said: “[I’m] decidedly confident I chose the right person. He does almost everything in a ‘manly’ way. He can put a pony tail on our five year old’s hair as manly as he can change his break pads in the driveway. Nothing is sexier than him being a good human.
“At first I was attracted to the way he made me feel, and now I’m attracted to the things I learn from him.”

Joe Duttine begged Corrie bosses to avoid Tim and Gina affair

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Duttine begged ‘Coronation Street’ script writers not to let his character cheat on wife Sally Metcalfe.
The 48-year-old actor was disappointed to find out his alter-ego Tim Metcalfe was going to do the dirty on his significant other – played by Sally Dynevor – with Sal’s sister Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde), admitting he feels “quite protective” over Tim and Sally’s relationship.
He said: “I wanted to protect it. As actors you put a lot of time into your character and your relationship and eventually over time you sort of nick them off the writers.
“So when new writers come along and suggest stuff you’re like, ‘No you can’t do that’. So you do feel quite protective over them because you do get positive feedback and with Tim and Sally they’re a likeable couple and it would be a shame to go down that route.”
Joe admits Tim is “utterly devastated” about his infidelity and will confess all to Sally in prison on Christmas Day (25.12.18), but that will not spell the end of the storyline.
He added: “There’s some interesting stuff happening in the new year.”
Connie recently admitted she is hoping Gina and Sally will be able to mend their sisterly bond after her and Tim’s infidelity is revealed, but she found the plot “clever” despite initial “fears”.
She said: “I love Sally so much – we’re best friends. So we both went, ‘Oh no!’
“Actually though, the way it’s been done is clever. It’s not been Machiavellian, which was my fear at first, but it’s been the opposite of that and the story will run for a long time.
“There’s been different peaks and it’s very subtle, so I’m pleased with it. We were just worried that it would affect our relationship as sisters, but actually there’s something that happens down the line that will rectify that.”

Sharon D. Clarke returning to Holby City to celebrate 20th anniversary

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon D. Clarke is returning to ‘Holby City’ to celebrate the medical drama’s 20th anniversary next year.
The 52-year-old actress will be making her first appearance as Dr. Lola Griffin since her departure in 2008 as the BBC One series celebrates the milestone and will feature in one episode to hold a mirror up to ex-husband Dr. Ric Griffin, who is played by longest-serving cast member Hugh Quarshie, reflecting on his years at the hospital.
Clarke has most recently been seen on screen in this year’s series of ‘Doctor Who’ playing Grace O’Brien – the murdered wife of Bradley Walsh’s alter ego Graham O’Brien – but she admits she is thrilled to be “treading the wards” again as Lola and getting the chance to work with Hugh again.
She said: “I spent three-and-a-half happy years playing Lola. She was the kind of woman I would have loved to have seen on my screen when I was growing up. I was very proud to bring her to life and be a part of the ‘Holby’ family. I’m so excited to be treading the wards again, and seeing what Lola will be getting up to for Holby’s 20th Anniversary. Hey, Ric, Lola’s back in town!”
And Lola is not the only former character returning to the programme as part of the anniversary celebrations that will culminate in a very special 1000th episode in autumn 2019.
Denis Lawson will be reprising his role as cardiothoracic consultant Tom Campbell-Gore, last seen towards the end of series six back in 2004.
Having spent the last 14 years rebuilding his reputation, Tom meets old rival Ric, who he must compete against to win crucial funding at an Innovation Conference, and introduces new surgeon Ange Godard (Dawn Steele) to Holby.
Speaking about his comeback, Lawson said: “I have great memories of my time on ‘Holby City’ and I’m delighted to be back on my old stomping ground with the ‘Holby’ cast and crew.”
Simon Harper – Executive Producer of ‘Holby City’ and ‘Casualty’ – says plans are underway to give the audience a “whole year of anniversary treats” and the two confirmed returns are just the start of the surprises.
Harper said: “It’s so exciting to celebrate the continued success of ‘Holby City’ – one of the UK’s most beloved medical dramas. We want to give the audience a whole year of anniversary treats, paying homage to the show’s heritage with some delicious returning characters – but also celebrating the new, working towards the 1000th episode around Bonfire Night… which is set to be an explosive story indeed! It’s a massive thrill to have Denis back, not only as one of our country’s foremost actors but also as one of Holby’s original bad boys in the show’s early years! Tom Campbell-Gore hasn’t changed a bit since he left ‘Holby’ 15 years ago and definitely has some scores to settle with Ric … And it’s such a coup to have Sharon here again too, it’s fantastic too given how in demand she is – not only is she a fabulous actor and a much loved tender, funny ‘Holby’ character but we clearly couldn’t let the anniversary pass without the appearance of one of Ric’s many ex-wives to ruffle his feathers.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus wants to have a “real relationship” with Ariana Grande.
The ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ hitmaker teamed up with the pop megastar on a cover of ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ last year – which they performed together at the One Love Manchester concert last June, which was organised by Ariana in response to the bombing after her concert at Manchester Arena two weeks earlier – and has revealed the pair have a “new” song, which she’d love to dance to at a club to with the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ singer.
Rather than work with Ariana, 25, Miley would prefer to befriend her peer as she admits they could both “use a friend” after Miley recently lost her Malibu home in the California wildfires, and Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s death and split from her fiancé Pete Davidson.
Asked if they plan to collaborate together, Miley, 26, told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show on Monday (10.12.18): “She’s here in New York actually and we’ve been texting.

Stan Lee ‘makes multiple cameos in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stan Lee makes multiple cameo appearances in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.
The iconic comic book writer – who passed away on November 12 – is set to make numerous appearances in the new computer-animated superhero film, according to directors Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman.
Rodney shared: “Stan Lee has more than one cameo in the movie.”
In fact, Bob gave moviegoers some more specific details about when Stan appears in the film.
He told Collider: “The easiest to spot, because you don’t have to stop the film, is when Peter [Parker] and Miles [Morales] are on the ground on the sidewalk, after they’d fallen from the train, there’s a dog who smells them with a guy who walks over them. That’s Stan again. On his way home from work.
“But then I will say, there are many, many train scenes. Subway shots. If you just pause, he’s in a lot of them. That guy is all over New York. He’s a busy man.”
Meanwhile, Peter Ramsey – the third of the film’s directors – has admitted the creative process behind making the movie was “insanely organic”.
He continued: “It’s all a really free-flowing sort of thing that we all just shepherded along and threw things in the pot, stir, and stir, and taste it. See where we are, then it’ll bounce back to pages.
“It’s one of those things that it’s like, it really was all about the film as a process in and of itself rather than, ‘Here we have a finished script. Now we will do exactly what’s on the page and nothing more.’
“It was much more alive than that.”

Naughty Boy: Streaming gives everyone a fair shot

OHMYGOSSIP — Naughty Boy believes streaming has given every artist a “fair shot”.
The ‘La La La’ producer – whose real name is Shahid Khan – has found it “fascinating” witnessing the changes in the music industry over the years, and thinks apps like Spotify and Apple Music, and even YouTube, have given aspiring artists and producers they same opportunity as the world’s biggest stars to get their music heard.
He said: “It’s been fascinating watching the music industry develop over the past decade.
“Streaming gives everyone a fair shot and aspiring producers can now be recognised more easily from sharing their art online – sites like YouTube give new musicians a platform.
“On a personal level, I’ve got hundreds of thousands of loyal followers on my YouTube channel – knowing I’m reaching the people who care about my music as soon as I upload a video is what makes me tick.”
The 33-year-old studio wizard has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Sam Smith and Emeli Sande, but he insists it’s still important to “challenge” himself.
Asked what advice he would give to aspiring producers, he said: “When it comes to creating music, I’d say to always challenge yourself and think outside the box – you can get inspiration from anywhere.
“Also, make sure you take on new opportunities: I’d never have thought, after ten years in the industry, that I’d be making a track out of coach sounds. “Opportunity is around every corner.”
One way he’s challenged himself recently was by teaming up with Trainline to record the song ‘via M40’ – a track mixed with coach sounds from the app’s most popular route, London to Birmingham – to launch their coach service.
Shahid managed to get some cool noises out of a hovercraft, plus seatbelt clicking, passenger chatter, toilets flushing and horns beeping, and even thinks he could make an entire album from the various sounds.
Asked if he’d like to make a record with Trainline, he replied: “Sure, I love a challenge! There are some cool noises we could get from the hovercraft.”
Passengers can now book coach journeys via the Trainline app and website Trainline.com

Cara Delevingne is face of Dior Addict lipstick

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne has been announced as the face of Dior Addict lipstick.
The model and actress is set to front the upcoming new range – called Stellar Shine – which has been conceived by the makeup brand’s creative and image director Peter Philips.
The updated formula – which looks to capture the “spectacular spirit of fashion” – is set to be launched in March, and it is the next step in Cara’s collaboration with the company.
She is already the face of Dior’s Capture Youth collection, which features skin care targeting the first signs of aging.
The announcement comes after the 26-year-old star – who will appear in both ‘Carnival Row’ and ‘Fever Heart’ next year – revealed she is planning to slow down and be more selective with her big screen roles.
She recently said: “It’s really important now what scripts I choose and to wait for the right projects. I’ve definitely got better with [saying no]. I think we all get better at that with age.”
Meanwhile, Cara loves speaking to women from all walks of life and recently admitted she finds their stories inspirational.
The model said: “Generally, women inspire me no matter what. The more you get to know every women, their story, strength and inspiration.”
And the British beauty couldn’t be happier that women are increasingly encouraged to speak out about their passions.
She added: “Now more and more women are finding a voice to stand up for what they believe in – the more vulnerability that is spoken about, the better.”

Sue Nicholls has become ‘awfully more opinionated’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Nicholls has become “awfully more opinionated” and developed road rage since growing older.
The legendary ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who has played Audrey Roberts on the ITV soap since 1979 – admits her language is “appalling” when she is driving a car, as is her “sign language”, since she has “become ancient”.
The 75-year-old star said: “I think actually funnily enough in the last years when I’ve become ancient I think I’ve changed a bit and I’m talking late 60s, early 70s, I think I had changed.
“Maybe it’s my mindset that has changed. I’m awfully more opinionated and don’t drive with me because my language is appalling. My sign language is hot as well.
“I’ve spent most of my life happily smiling and not saying much of interest and suddenly I find that I’m actually quite opinionated.
“I’ve got a touch of something, you know when people do have a slight disability and they tell the truth and it’s not rude but you think, ‘Oh gosh I wasn’t expecting that.’ ”
Audrey is rarely seen driving on the cobbles, which may explain partly why Sue admits she is happier in the fictional world of Weatherfield than she is when she steps off the street set and returns to real life.
She said: “It’s a pathetic thing to say but I’m happier in this strange little world of Weatherfield with all the terrible things that do happen over the years, people getting killed and god knows what, than I am with the real world.
“I can’t cope with the real world.
“So I kind of like this so I don’t know if that makes me a rather feeble, elderly person, so I enjoy it. I enjoy what I have to do.”
Sue believes it would be “interesting” to have a ‘Corrie’ character “heavily into” the #MeToo movement, a campaign against sexual harassment and sexual assault which became particularly prominent soon after movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual abuse by multiple women in October 2017.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “Yes there’s #MeToo but that’s another part of life now, which we didn’t have before and that’s quite interesting.
“You know, that would just help any series as well, if you’ve got a character that’s heavily into that. It’s another issue that can be explored and that’s interesting too.”

Susanna Reid: I quit the gym because it made me hungry

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid quit exercise because it made her too hungry.
The 48-year-old broadcaster has shed lost 21lbs since giving up alcohol and adopting a healthy new regime in September, but she ditched exercise due to feeling too hungry after workouts.
On today’s (11.12.18) ‘Good Morning Britain’, Susanna’s co-host Piers Morgan gave her a healthy food hamper for her birthday, and said: “The worst thing about being alcohol-free, you’re basically awake all the time, you obviously don’t sleep.
“You don’t do anything; you just exercise and eat kale.”
But Susanna quickly corrected him, saying: “Actually I don’t do any exercise at all.
“I stopped going to the gym, I found it made me too hungry.”
The former ‘Save Money: Good Food’ host also announced that she is content with her current weight and is not keen to shed anymore pounds.
She said: “I’ve levelled out, I lost a stone-and-a-half and that’s enough, and I don’t go to the gym.”
The TV presenter previously stated she feels a lot better now that she has lost weight, and no longer has to deal with heavy hangovers.
She said: “And as you get older it takes that little bit longer to get over a night out if you’ve had some drinks. I feel better.”
However, the brunette beauty admitted that cutting out booze from her “big nights out” has definitely been a change, saying she used to love alcohol-fuelled evenings of champagne or prosecco.
She previously added: “There is definitely a bit of a loss, because in our culture big nights out are so centred around alcohol. And I used to love a big night out.”

Diane Kruger is experiencing ‘a great moment’ in her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Kruger feels as though she’s in the midst of “a great moment” in her life.
The 42-year-old actress gave birth to a baby daughter last month and she’s revealed that she and her partner, actor Norman Reedus, are relishing the challenge of parenthood.
She shared: “It’s a great moment of joy. We have a lot to be thankful for. It’s been a wonderful year.”
The Hollywood star admitted she’s looking forward to creating some Christmas traditions with her family.
She told E! News: “What’s exciting is to start your own and anything is possible and as long as my home is happy and light and positive, it doesn’t matter.”
Diane and Norman, 49, have been dating since 2016 and the actress previously admitted that their relationship is markedly different to her previous romances.
Diane insisted she’s no longer willing to make the same number of “compromises” she’s made in the past.
The actress – who met Norman during the production of the movie ‘Sky’ in 2015 – said: “There are certain things I won’t accept anymore.
“I think when you’re in a long-term relationship, you start making excuses, and you’re making a lot of compromises – which obviously you need to make to make things work – but I think there are certain things that I’ve learned I don’t want to accept anymore.”
Diane also explained how maturity had transformed her outlook on life.
The actress reflected: “The older I get, it’s about focusing on the people that I have left: my mom, my brother, my grandfather and my boyfriend. I just want to be present in my life and not try to project so much into the future.”

Tessa Thompson pretends to like terrible Christmas gifts

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson pretends to like any terrible Christmas gifts she’s given.
The 35-year-old star has admitted to occasionally using her acting talents when she’s been handed awful presents by any of her friends or family.
She shared: “We’re not big shoppers in my family – my parents make stuff instead. My dad will take a found photograph and frame it; my mom is this incredible artist who can weave things and make things by hand. Everything she does is really beautiful.
“I’m lucky in my family, but … yeah, okay, I’ll tell you: I’ve been given a couple questionable purses. I look at them and think, ‘Okay, can I make this work? What can I try?’ …. It’s a very nice gesture, but not for me.”
Despite her disappointment, Tessa has always tried to remain polite and appreciative.
She told Elle magazine: “You know, you can still be grateful for a gift even if you don’t like it. I think saying ‘Thank you’ sincerely isn’t dependent on the gift. It’s about the effort and the thought. You can always be real about that.”
Meanwhile, Michael B Jordan – Tessa’s ‘Creed II’ co-star – recently admitted he sees himself as a “giver”.
The actor revealed he likes to do things for other people, but over the years, he’s struck a “nice little balance” between finding time for himself and also taking care of others.
Michael said: “For me, I’m always a giver. I’m a pleaser, you know, a fixer. I do a lot of things for other people. That’s something that just comes with me. It’s okay, it’s who I am.
“Obviously everyone has their own limits, but I think I’ve found a nice little balance between not spreading myself too thin and, at the same time, helping people.”

The 26-year-old rapper – who has a five-month-old daughter called Kulture with Offset – recently announced she’d split from the Migos star, but she apparently remains uncertain about what to do in the longer term.
The source told E! News: “They haven’t been spending time together and Cardi expressed she still wants her space. She is very busy right now with her work and is focused solely on Kulture.”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker “still loves” Offset, according to the insider, who explained that Cardi “wants her family to be whole again”.
Cardi doesn’t want to co-parent Kulture, but she’s undecided about whether her relationship with Offset is sustainable in the long run.
The source explained: “She is very torn and is trying to stay focused on business matters right now.
“She doesn’t want to have to co-parent Kulture, but isn’t quite sure if they can make their relationship work.”

The New York-born rap star recently took to her Instagram Live to hit out at claims that their split has been contrived in order to generate interest in their relationship.
Cardi said: “Y’all gotta understand, there’s a kid involved. Ain’t no type of publicity that I would ever want that would have my daughter looking at me crazy when she get older.
“I just really hate how people say we trying to do this for publicity. Think we want to put our life out there for what – what we gain from publicity? Nothing. Why would you f***ing think that I would put my f***ing family in some bull***t. I have my heart on my sleeve right now, you know what I’m saying?”
