Bethenny Frankel’s new boyfriend ‘saved’ her life in allergy emergency

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel’s new boyfriend saved her life when she went into anaphylactic shock caused by a severe food allergy.
The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star was rushed to hospital on Sunday (16.12.18) after she became “unconscious for 15 minutes” after eating soup which triggered her “rare fish allergy”.
Luckily, the 48-year-old brunette had her epinephrine epipen injector with her and she has alluded that it was the actions of her new man, real estate developer and film producer Paul Bernon, that resulted in her still being alive.
Bethenny revealed the incident in an emotional Twitter post which prompted a follower to tweet her to say “don’t forget you have a new boyfriend too”, leading her to reply: “He saved my life”.
A source has now confirmed to PEOPLE that Paul’s actions on the day did save her life, saying: “It was that serious. Her blood pressure was through the roof and she was unconscious. She went into anaphylactic shock. Her boyfriend friend saved her life.”
Bethenny’s original Twitter post read: “I have rare fish allergy. Sun,I had soup,itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40.I couldn’t talk,see, thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead. 911 & EPI saved me.I’ll never not carry an #epipen @newtonwellesley xo (sic)”
Bethenny suffered her allergic reaction in the greater Boston area, which is where Paul lives, and she made sure to tag Newton Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts into her post to show her appreciation for the actions and efforts of emergency room staff at the medical facility.
It’s been a difficult year for Bethenny as her on/off boyfriend Dennis Shields passed away in August at the age of 51.

OHMYGOSSIP — Thom Yorke has been shortlisted for the Best Original Song award at the Oscars.
The Radiohead frontman has made the list of 15 artists who are in the running to make the final five nominations for his song ‘Suspirium’, which features in horror remake ‘Suspiria’ at next year’s ceremony – which takes place in Los Angeles on February 25.
The 50-year-old musician is joined on the list by the likes of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star is Born’, Kendrick Lamar and SZA for ‘All The Stars’ from ‘Black Panther’ and Emily Blunt who has been named twice for her performances in ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ for ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go’ and her duet with Lin-Manuel Miranda in ‘Trip A Little Light Fantastic’.
Gal Gadot and Sarah Silverman are both in contention for ‘A Place Called Slaughter Race’ from Disney animated sequel ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’, whilst Dolly Parton makes an appearance on the list for ‘Girl in the Movies’ form the recent Netflix movie ‘Dumplin’.
Other tracks on the list include the folk song ‘When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings’ from the Coen Brothers’ ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’, the song ‘Treasure’ by Sampha from true story drama ‘Beautiful Boy’.

Torvill and Dean stars had skating crash course

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Torvill and Dean’ stars Will Tudor and Poppy Lee Friar were taught enough “to be comfortable” on the ice.
The pair are appearing in the new ITV drama about skating legends Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill, and while they trained for two hours a day for a few weeks they used “doubles” for many of the big moments.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Will said: “We [are] able to go backwards but we don’t show that in the actual movie.
“The idea was that we’d be comfortable enough on the ice so that we could do the scenes on the ice and that would be fine. But we did have doubles.”
He insisted they “did do bits of routines”, which follows the previous decision from programme bosses to not allow them to perform the film’s climatic dance.
Torvill and Dean competed in the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo and made history by scoring 12 perfect sixes from the judges.
The triumphant pair became the highest-scoring performers of all time after skating to Maurice Ravel’s ‘Bolero’, and their performance was watched by a British television audience of more than 24 million people.
Executive producer Emily Dalton recently said: “We hope people don’t feel robbed. But anyone who has seen anyone do the dance will know no one can do it like them.”
Despite the pressures surrounding the drama – set to air on Christmas Day (25.12.18) at 9.15pm on ITV – Poppy has now revealed they were able to get in the right frame of mind as actors.
She said: “When we’re doing our scenes we’re really just thinking about our characters and scenes, and less about the reality that we’re playing these icons.”

Jaime Winstone: I knew to avoid certain casting couches

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaime Winstone “knew” early on in her career that she shouldn’t “sit on certain casting couches”.
The 33-year-old actress – who is the daughter of Hollywood icon Ray Winstone – has spoken out about the alleged sexual misconduct in the movie industry, and says that even at 17 years old, people would speak to her “quite weirdly”, and she knew she had to avoid certain “wrong’uns”.
She said: “I knew not to sit on certain casting couches. It wasn’t common knowledge, no, but I definitely knew about some massive wrong’uns in the industry. I was a 17-year-old wearing denim hotpants – just because it was hot – and I was spoken to quite weirdly. I know I’ve been paid less than a man, and there have been certain films where I had to negotiate side-boob and stuff like that. These are things men wouldn’t even discuss.”
Now that she’s older, the ‘Donkey Punch’ star is able to “pick and choose” what roles she takes, and is thankful she doesn’t have to do lengthy red carpet events.
She added: “It’s nice to pick and choose now, because that stuff’s exhausting. I’m a mum. Those red-carpet events are quite long, I’m tired at ten o’clock and I don’t really drink any more. I haven’t given up altogether, but I only drink once or twice a month now. My partner doesn’t drink and for me, with a little one, you just can’t. Why do that to yourself? I’m enjoying this nice new chapter in my life.”
But Jaime hasn’t fully escaped sexism in the industry, as she says after the birth of her son Raymond – whom she has with her long-term partner DJ James Suckling – two years ago, she was told to lose weight.
Speaking to The Times, she said: “There was just a bit of weight-loss chat. I definitely know my dad has never been told to lose weight.”

Mel B: I want to shed light on abusive relationships

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B is “on a mission” to “shed light” on abusive relationships.
The 43-year-old Spice Girl previously accused her now ex-husband Stephen Belafonte of being both emotionally and physically abusive to her during their decade long marriage, and has now said she’s being open about her alleged experiences because she wants to “bring awareness” to the dangers of abusive relationships.
She said: “I feel like I’m on a mission to shed light and bring awareness to being in an abusive relationship. Or what an abusive relationship is, and what it looks like, and what the signs are, so you can catch it early before it’s too late and you feel like you’re trapped in it.”
And the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker is pleased her story – which she detailed in her memoir ‘Brutally Honest’ – has already managed to help other people going through similar alleged abuse, including an 82-year-old woman who claimed she was “still living” with an abusive partner.
Mel added: “So if I can help one person … Which I know I already have done because I get lots of letters and when I do my book signing, women are there not because they’re a Spice Girl, it’s because they’ve either been through abuse, or they’re in it, or they’re wanting to get out of it. I had an 82-year-old woman the other day going ‘I’m still living in it, but thank you for sharing your story because it’s exactly like my story.’ And she was 82 years old! I’m like ‘Tick’. My job is done then.”
The brunette beauty – who has three daughters, 16-year-old Phoenix, whom she has with Jimmy Gulzar, 11-year-old Angel, whose father is Eddie Murphy, and seven-year-old Madison, whom she has with Stephen – says she’s “adamant” to keep talking about her alleged experiences.
Speaking to E! News, she said: “Very few people make it out without the serious damage of the scars on the inside and outside. I am adamant to talk about it and I am adamant to be on my road to recovery and healing.”

Penny Marshall has died

OHMYGOSSIP — Penny Marshall has died aged 75.
The ‘Laverne & Shirley’ star – who was the younger sister of the late writer, producer, and director Garry Marshall – has passed away after suffering complications from diabetes, her publicist confirmed on Tuesday (18.12.18).
Penny earned fame for playing Laverne DeFazio on the ‘Happy Days’ spin-off ‘Laverne & Shirley’ which was created by her brother, and which aired for eight seasons from 1976-83.
After being approached to step in as a last minute replacement for Howard Zieff to helm the 1986 feature comedy ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’, Penny went on to direct 1988 movie ‘Big’ – which starred Tom Hanks in the leading role – which became the first film directed by a woman to gross more than $100 million domestically.
Penny teamed up with Tom Hanks again for the 1992 movie ‘A League of Their Own’, for which she also broke through the $100 million barrier.
The actress and director often credited her brother Garry – who passed away in July 2016 at the age of 81 – with giving her “a life” through her role in the ‘Happy Days’ spin off.
Speaking after he passed away, she had said: “My brother gave me a life. It’s not many people who have a brother who give them a life. He gave me a life and I appreciate it and I tried to not let him down.”
Whilst in 2012, Penny claimed it was Garry who advised she seek out acting classes, and told her not to listen to members of her family who tried to steer her away from her chosen career path.
She said at the time: “He’s a great guy. I wouldn’t have a career without him. He told me go have lunch with this person, go take acting classes from this person. I said, ‘Mommy wants me to change my name.’ He said, ‘Why?’ ‘Because she doesn’t want me to embarrass the family.’ He said, ‘Don’t listen to her, she’s nuts.’ ”

Ellen Degeneres ‘didn’t think’ she’d do stand-up comedy ever again

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen Degeneres “didn’t think” she’d ever do stand-up comedy again.
The 60-year-old comedian performed stand-up gigs for 20 years before she gave it up in favour of her eponymously titled talk show – which has been running since 2003 – and although she’s set to make her return to the stage for the first time in 15 years with new special ‘Relatable’, she admits she very nearly stepped away from the microphone for good.
She said: “I didn’t think I’d ever do it again. I did it for so long, I did it for probably 20 years and it’s a lonely life – especially as a woman by yourself on the road.
“[‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’] is a great gig. I get to go home every night, and this is fun. But stand-up is different than this. I just wanted to see if I could do it again after 15 years.”
And although her talk show is a far cry from her stand-up routine, Ellen insists that working on the show “every day” taught her to not be so hard on herself when things don’t go exactly as planned.
She added during an interview on the ‘Today’ show which aired on Tuesday (18.12.18): “These people wait for a long, long time to come here and I want them to have the best show they can possibly have.
“When I started out in stand-up, every single night you want it to be amazing and perfect all the time. But to do a show every single day, sometimes you just have to – if it’s a bad show and something happens where you mess up – there’s another one the next day. I tried to make every single show my favourite show.”
Ellen’s return to stand-up comes as her wife Portia De Rossi recently revealed she wants her spouse to quit her talk show, even though she’s just extended her contract up to the summer of 2020.
Portia said: “I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and stand-up that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity.
“There are other things she could tackle.
“I don’t see the end of her show as her career ending.”

Sandra Bullock is scaling back her kids’ Christmas presents

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bullock has “stopped” going overboard when it comes to Christmas presents for her children.
The 54-year-old actress has adopted children Louis, eight, and Laila, six, and has said that whilst she used to “overdo” the number of gifts they’d receive on Christmas Day (25.12.18), this year she plans to just give them “three small gifts” each, because she wants to highlight the importance of being grateful for what they have.
Speaking during an appearance on the ‘Today’ show, Sandra said: “Usually [Christmas is] overdone. Really, really overdone because I overdo it, and then I panic that I didn’t do enough, and then I get more, and then everyone else has overdone it.
“But this year we just stopped. We just stopped because there’s so much happening in the world where people don’t have anything. And we said, ‘Why don’t we just make this about other people?’ And they were amazing about it. So Christmas is three small gifts.”
Her comments come after she recently admitted she could be “a little neurotic” when it comes to her kids, as the current state of the world leaves her “afraid every day” of what might happen to her children whilst they’re at school.
She said: “I now realise what it feels like to be afraid every single day because I love my kids to the point where I’m a little neurotic, in what’s happening out in the world, and am I a good mother?
“When you leave the house and they go to school, I check my phone constantly, did the school call, is something, are you gonna get hurt, if they’re leaving with somebody else, I panic. I have to learn how to relax within a world that spins that kind of worry and remind myself and my children that it is also a hopeful place.”
The ‘Bird Box’ actress is calmed somewhat by her boyfriend of three years Bryan Randall, who has an “understanding of fearlessness” when it comes to parenting.
But Sandra says she still finds herself “afraid”, as she wants to do whatever she can to “protect” her children.
She added: “I don’t. I’m afraid and I want to make sure that I do everything in my power to protect these two beautiful children that I’ve been blessed to raise.”

Kylie Jenner: 2018 was my best year yet

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner says welcoming her daughter into the world has made 2018 her “best” year yet.
The 21-year-old reality star gave birth to her daughter Stormi – whom she has with boyfriend Travis Scott – on February 1 this year, and as the year draws to a close, the beauty has credited the tot with making sure her year has been “unforgettable”.
In an Instagram post – which also thanked her fans for their continued support – the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star wrote: “just thinking about how much i love each and every one of you. thank you for all the love and support this year. 2018 has been unforgettable thanks to you.. and having Stormi of course has made it the best. i can’t wait for 2019 (sic)”
The lip kit mogul has been a doting mother since her daughter was born 10 months ago, and her best friend Jordyn Woods previously heaped praise on how well Kylie had been taking on motherhood.
Jordyn said: “I think just people grow and evolve every day and when you become a parent you have to keep learning and it’s an experience and I have just seen her blossom and mature, so it’s nice.”
And Kylie believes motherhood has made her “less selfish”.
She said previously: “I think more about the future because of her. Every time I leave and I’m stressed about leaving her, I’m like, ‘I’m doing it for you.’ Everyone says you change completely when you become a mom, but I really feel the same, just better. So I don’t know what really has completely changed my world, besides her, of course. But I feel like it’s only gotten better. You’re less selfish – and I actually enjoy changing diapers. It’s really satisfying. To make her clean again. And I don’t know, the whole thing is really … it’s like such an amazing experience.
“It’s actually been the opposite for me. I feel like it’s just been so amazing, and so much fun. I’m learning so much more about myself and life, and it’s been such a great experience. Of course there’s hard times and stuff … even in the beginning, just not sleeping, the nights, like, baby blues … and all the ups and downs. And also even when I’m here it was so hard to leave this morning. I’m like, ‘I’ll be right back, I’m so sorry, I have to leave!’ and she doesn’t even know what’s going on. I think about her all the time, anywhere I am. I would rather be with her or wish she can come everywhere. I can’t wait till she can come everywhere with me, because right when she’s old enough I’ll bring her everywhere.”

Stars pay tribute to Penny Marshall

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie O’Donnell, Busy Philipps, and Melissa Joan Hart are among the stars who have paid tribute to the late Penny Marshall.
The ‘Laverne & Shirley’ star – who was the younger sister of the late writer, producer, and director Garry Marshall – passed away on Monday (17.12.18) after suffering complications from diabetes at the age of 75.
And several celebrities including Rosie – who shared the YouTube video for a K-Mart commercial she starred in alongside Penny – have already taken to social media to pay their respects.
Posting the video link on Twitter, the 56-year-old comedian wrote: “simply heartbroken #ripPENNY (sic)”
Whilst actress Busy Philipps tweeted: “Oh Penny Marshall. Rest In Peace and thank you for everything. (sic)”
Melissa Joan Hart took to Instagram to mourn the loss of the ‘A League of Their Own’ director, as she praised Penny for being a “special role model” to female comedians.
She captioned an old picture of Penny: “Heartbroken to learn that #PennyMarshall has passed away!! The Marshall family holds a special place in my heart for being so kind and creative and encouraging to other artists. But she was a special role model for female comedians like myself. #RIP #ThankYou (sic)”
‘Stranger Things’ actor Sean Astin also tweeted his condolences to Penny’s family and friends, as he said he was thinking of her “brilliant moments” whilst sitting on a sit-com set himself.
He wrote: “I got to stay up late-after Happy Days-2 watch Laverne & Shirley. So sad 2 learn that Penny Marshall has passed. Sitting on a sit-com set 40 years later, thinking about milk & pepsi, rodeo-doh-doh-doh & so many of her brilliant moments. Love to her family, friends & our town… (sic)”
Shortly after news of her passing broke, Penny’s family released a brief statement saying they were “heartbroken” by the loss.
They said: “Our family is heartbroken over the passing of Penny Marshall.”

Katie Price will continue having cosmetic surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has vowed to continue having cosmetic surgery.
The 40-year-old television personality has already undergone several procedures including face lifts, breast implants, and a nose job, and has said there’s “more” body altering surgeries to come, as she took to Instagram to praise her surgeon Dr Plovier for his continued work.
Posting a picture of herself with the cosmetic surgeon on the photo sharing app, the ‘Loose Women’ panellist said: “Lots of people asking me where to get surgery and I have to say Dr Plovier at the Be Clinic in Brussels is the best ever and the best clinic I’ve ever seen and been too and thank him for all my procedures and more to come 🙂 his wife @mcboxingclub does amazing skin treatments too (sic)”
Despite having gone under the knife multiple times already, Katie – who is mother to Harvey, 16, Junior, 13, Princess, 11, Jett, five, and Bunny, four – has previously insisted she isn’t addicted to cosmetic surgery.
Asked whether she’d developed an addiction, Katie said: “Definitely not. I’ve seen psychologists about it for a TV show and they said I wasn’t.
“I just look to improve how I look. I just seem like I have loads of work done because I’m open about it.
“I was talking to a well-known celebrity recently and I asked her where she gets her lips and fillers done, and she was like: ‘Me? I don’t have it done.’ And it’s so obvious that she does! Why deny it? I was like: ‘Yes you do!'”
On top of her surgical procedures, Katie has also had over 10 non-surgical bum lifts.
After her 11th lift last year, Katie wrote on Instagram: “Got the amazing @ShaneCooperUK doing my bum lift with LipoFirm pro Focusing on skin tightening, fat and cellulite reduction to contour my body! Love his bespoke treatments (sic)”

Wendy Williams has a hairline fracture in her shoulder

OHMYGOSSIP — Wendy Williams has suffered a hairline fracture in her right shoulder.
The 54-year-old talk show host appeared on her eponymously titled show on Tuesday (18.12.18) with her arm in a sling which was hidden underneath a pink sweater, as she told viewers she had been injured during an accident over the weekend which has left her needing to heal.
She said: “I did it on Sunday by Monday morning my shoulder was on fire. There’s no way I could’ve done yesterday’s show, so I was all about the medical care yesterday from one doctor to the other. I’m on the mend, I don’t need an operation.”
But despite her accident, doctors told the star she’s “very healthy” for her age.
Wendy told her viewers on Tuesday: “[Doctors] told me I’m very healthy for a person – after 50. I’m not wearing a hard cast, but I do have a sling and I do have my flower ring on.
“So we only have to work around this for a moment before I just go home. That’s all you can do: rest.”
The presenter’s recent injury comes after she was forced to take a three-week break from her talk show in October last year when she collapsed live on air due to complications with her overactive thyroid and autoimmune disease Graves.
Wendy admitted that she wouldn’t have been able to get through the health scare if it wasn’t for her husband Kevin Hunter because he had supported her the whole time.
She explained at the time: “My husband was extremely concerned. He’s not just my husband, he’s my business partner, one of the executive producers on the show and he’s also my manager. He and I are glued at the hip. He was with me every step. For him, seeing me go through all of this, it’s really been trying on him. I’ve been concerned about him. I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about me!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has broken the record for the most money made in a single year by a musician, thanks to his £342 million world tour.
The 27-year-old musician didn’t release any new music in 2018, but that hasn’t stopped him from having the most financially successful year of any musician, as his ‘Divide’ world tour – which he first embarked on in 2017 in support of his third studio album of the same name – has brought in a whopping £342.3 million in 2018 alone.
According to data collected by Pollstar on the top 10 highest grossing tours of 2018, Ed sold 4.86 million tickets for the shows in the past 12 months, including the four sold out dates he performed at the 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium in London.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker has smashed his previous tour earnings for his 2014/15 tour ‘Multiply’ – which grossed £119 million – and is now on course for the most lucrative tour of all time.
Andy Gensler, executive editor of Pollstar said in a statement: “The ‘Divide Tour’ was a perfect storm of medium-priced tickets, future classic singles that exploded globally, a compelling solo performance that embraced audience participation, a production that was successfully upgraded from arenas to stadiums, and having a huge online presence that connected him directly with fans.”
Following closely behind Ed in the Pollstar list is his close friend Taylor Swift, whose ‘Reputation’ tour earned her £273 million with almost three million tickets sold, whilst third place went to married duo Beyonce and Jay-Z, who earned £201 million from 2.1 million ticket sales.
Rounding out the top five are Pink, with her 1.28 ticket sales bringing in £134 million this year, and Bruno Mars, who earned £132 million from 1.29 million tickets.

Jaime Winstone is loving motherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaime Winstone is “enjoying a new chapter in her life” since becoming a mother and has cut down on her partying because parenting is so full-on.
The 33-year-old actress has two-year-old son Raymond with her long-term partner DJ James Suckling and is also a stepmother to her boyfriend’s nine-year-old and seven-year-old boys, whom he has with a former partner, and she admits that she has cut down her nights out because she’s ready for bed at “10 o’clock” now.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Jaime said: “It’s nice to pick and choose now, because that stuff’s exhausting. I’m a mum. Those red carpet events are quite long, I’m tired at 10 o’clock and I don’t really drink any more. I haven’t given up altogether, but I only drink once or twice a month now. My partner doesn’t drink and for me, with a little one, you just can’t. I’m enjoying this nice new chapter in my life.
“There’s something really strong when you have a baby and they have brothers already. Your feelings and your emotions in the situation get put to the back seat, because you want to make this brotherhood work more than anything. At weekends it’s a nuthouse. There’s a lot of willies running around!”
The ‘Donkey Punch’ star’s dad is British acting legend Ray Winstone and she admits it amuses her when she goes out with her father and he wonders why people are excited to see him.
The reason for Ray’s bemusement is that he doesn’t think of himself as a celebrity, despite boasting a filmography that includes ‘The Departed’, ‘Sexy Beast’, ‘Beowulf’, ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ and many more.
Jaime admits she has told 61-year-old Ray: ” ‘Dad, you’re pretty big. You’re working with Spielberg.'”
The actress – who can next be seen in ice skating TV biopic ‘Torvill and Dean’ – added: “We’d go to Sainsbury’s and he’d be, like, ‘What the f**k are they looking at? Why are they staring at me?’ I think he still finds it quite funny when I’m on the telly, but he’s very, very proud. He watches everything. Absolutely everything.”

Kem Cetinay is Dancing On Ice’s new backstage reporter

OHMYGOSSIP — Kem Cetinay has been confirmed as the new digital reporter on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The former ‘Love Island’ winner is set to return to the ITV celebrity ice skating competition after he finished fourth in the show earlier this year, where he is set to take over backstage reporting duties from Jordan Banjo.
It was suspected in October that the 22-year-old reality star would take over from the 25-year-old dancer, as bosses reportedly wanted to “shake things up” on the show.
A source previously told the Sun Online: “Jordan was brilliant, but there have been changes to his schedule that mean he’s unavailable to film next year, so he’ll be axed from the format.
“There will be a lot of new faces on the ice, too. Ale Izquierdo, who skated with Max Evans in this year’s show, won’t return, neither will Melody Le Moal, who was partnered with Lemar.
“Show bosses are bringing in new professionals to shake things up.”
Kem is “delighted” to have his first major television role, and admitted that although he rose to fame through reality television, he wants to expand into more major presenting projects.
A source previously said: “Kem’s delighted. It’s his first major TV presenting gig and he’s hoping it will propel him into the mainstream.
“While reality TV will always be in his roots, he’s keen to move away from it now … Kem can still remember some of his ice-skating skills from last year so he may even get his skates back on.”
Meanwhile ‘Dancing on Ice’ recently announced the full line-up of celebrity skaters, including reality star Gemma Collins, ‘X Factor’ finalist Saara Aalto, and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan.

Alan Carr confirms Strictly Come Dancing rumours

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr has confirmed he was approached by producers of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 42-year-old comedian has been the subject of rumours for the 2019 line-up of the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition, and has now confirmed he would be willing to take part as long as he doesn’t have to visit odd locations to practice his dances.
Speaking on ITV talk show ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (18.12.18), he said: “Oh my listen. Listen! I will do it but next year I’ve got a busy year, I’m going on tour!
“They cornered me and they said, ‘Would you do it?’ and I would do it but I hate those VTs where you know, ‘We’re doing Salsa so we’re off to a dips factory, you know what I mean?
“They go to Chester Zoo or a museum, but I’m like, I need to be in the studio now doing the Argentine Tango. Step away from the rhino – I want to stick a rose in my mouth and do the thing!”
The talent show is famous for its over the top outfits, and the ‘Chatty Man’ star is no stranger to dressing up, as he recently completely transformed himself in to Jennifer Lopez for heat magazine’s Christmas issue.
The TV host was taking part in the magazine’s annual Stars Dress Up Christmas special and decided to “push the boundaries” for the good of his fans.
Speaking to the publication, he said: “You know I would do anything for heat. Two years ago, I went full frontal as a man when I was Orlando Bloom and the lovely David [Walliams] was Katy Perry, so I thought, ‘How can I push the boundaries? How can I stretch myself for the heat readers?’ So, I went full frontal as a woman!
“And the experience was lovely, although I do wonder if J-Lo’s cape was as itchy as this one. Honestly, it was so scratchy, it was as if my psoriasis had come back – like wearing green eczema. Also, because I had no protection underneath, I felt like the material exfoliated my private parts – they’re looking much younger now and have a vibrant glow.”
