Stephanie Pratt: I’ve only held my nephew ‘once’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Pratt claims her brother Spencer Pratt hasn’t allowed her to see his son.
The 35-year-old reality star and his wife Heidi Montag have 14-month-old son Gunner Stone together, and Spencer’s sister Stephanie claims that she’s only seen the tot five times and “held him once”.
Stephanie says Spencer didn’t even tell her Heidi was expecting a baby, and instead she discovered the happy news via the internet on her birthday.
The 32-year-old beauty said: “I think the headline was ‘Stephanie gets the best gift of all,’ which was just like a horrible shock. [Their] child just turned one and I have seen him five times. I held him once. It’s horrific, but I’m still in a good mood. It’s all good.”
But despite the two siblings seeming being at loggerheads, the ‘Made In Chelsea’ star still insists she’s Spencer’s “biggest fan”, even if he doesn’t want to speak to her.
Speaking on her new ‘Pratt Cast’ podcast with Wells Adams, Stephanie said: “A long time ago, he told me that he unsistered me so I don’t think I’ve been sistered back. It’s been awkward. Even when he told me I was adopted at like 12, I still love him and believe everything he’s said. I’m his biggest fan.”
This isn’t the first time Spencer and Stephanie have been on non-speaking terms, as Stephanie claimed in September last year that the siblings weren’t currently speaking to one another.
She said: “We don’t have a rivalry but we’re not talking at the moment. But it’s just on and off. We clash, I ask him for every piece of advice, like, always. So we are so so so close.”
The two siblings are set to have their differences aired when MTV’s ‘The Hills’ reboot – titled ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ – hits screens in 2019.

Kelly Clarkson: Aretha Franklin helped my shyness

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson overcame her shyness because of Aretha Franklin.
The 36-year-old star has paid tribute to the late soul legend – who died at the age of 76 in August after a battle with pancreatic cancer – and has admitted it was the ‘Respect’ singer’s music that gave her the confidence to pursue her dreams of becoming an artist.
Speaking on ABC’s ‘2018: In Memoriam’ – which will air on Monday night (17.12.18) – she said: “When I was little I just had such a hard time communicating, which is actually why I started to write before I even could sing. It was just to get my emotions [out], and because I was afraid to let down walls because so many crappy things happened. Aretha was the one singer that reached real down in me. Then it was like, ‘It’s OK to cry, it’s OK to be mad at something, it’s OK to get through something.’ ”
The ‘Piece By Piece’ hitmaker explained she was “afraid to be embarrassed” until Aretha helped break down “barriers”.
She added: “I feel like she’s the reason why I’m not so shy. I was terribly shy when I was a kid … just afraid to do anything because I was afraid to be embarrassed. And now I’m the complete opposite. Music really did give me that confidence and she really did stir something inside me that broke down those barriers that I had built up as a child.”
Kelly has opened up about her love for Aretha in the past, and in 2017 she revealed the influence she had on her recent album ‘Meaning of Life’.
She previously said: “These are the kind of soulful, bluesy songs I love. You have to have gone through some stuff in life in order to translate that emotion into them … Not to poo-poo on all my other records, because they’re all me too, but this is the sound of powerful women like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston. They inspired me as a little girl who had nothing but thought maybe I could be something one day.”

Kym Marsh reunited with boyfriend Scott after 7 weeks away

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has reunited with her boyfriend Scott Ratcliffe after seven weeks apart.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – was “so excited” to see her significant other again after he returned from Kenya, where he has been undergoing an army training exercise, and admits her heart “grew fonder” for him in their absence.
She wrote: “Scott and I were reunited after seven weeks apart while he was out in Kenya on an army training exercise and it was the best!
“It’s true, absence does make the heart grow fonder. I got a train down from Manchester and he met me off the train in London.
“I was so excited to see him, I really missed him! We kept in contact by sending each other letters and little gifts – it’s little gestures and knowing you’re being thought of and missed. Scott’s very thoughtful and I’m really glad he’s home.”
While Scott has been away Kym’s daughter Emilie Cunliffe announced she is expecting a baby, and last week the ‘Corrie’ actress correctly predicted her grandchild would be a boy ahead of a gender reveal party.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she wrote: “Our family and friends gathered at mine for the gender reveal party we threw for Emilie and her boyfriend Mikey – there were 60 of us! On the morning of the party, we went for a scan to find out the sex of the baby and the nurse put the answer in an envelope so we didn’t find out.
“Then we went to get a party cannon filled with blue or pink confetti.
“I wrote in my last column that I thought it was going to be a boy – I just knew!
“Obviously I didn’t mind either way, but I love the thought of a little boy in the family given that we’re missing one. It will be lovely for us all. He’s going to be a very spoilt little boy.”
Last month, Kym admitted it was “a shame” she didn’t have more scenes to shoot on the cobbles, because she wanted to be busier to take her mind off missing Scott.
She said: “I’m very quiet at work and that’s a shame as I’d rather be busy to take my mind off missing him. It’ll all be fine though as we’re in a good place – it’s just part of his life.
“He’s now away for two months with the army.
“At the time of writing, Scott’s only been gone for a couple of days, so I’m OK at the moment – ask me in a few weeks.
“I’m going to keep myself busy seeing family and friends.”

Wayne Bridge tips wife Frankie for I’m a Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Wayne Bridge is trying to convince his wife Frankie Bridge to go on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ so he can have a holiday in Australia.
The 38-year-old former footballer is attempting to persuade the 29-year-old singer to participate in the show – which he appeared on in 2016 – because he would love any excuse to go on vacation Down Under, and she is keen to take part.
Wayne said: “I’ve been trying to talk Frankie into doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’, because I want a holiday in Australia again! She should do it.”
Frankie replied: “I’d like to do it to test myself. I’d find it really hard not being with the kids and I’d be awful at the eating challenges.”
The former England defender – who shares children Parker, five, and Carter, three, with his wife, as well as 12-year-old Jaydon Jean Claude from a previous relationship with Vanessa Perroncel – is also keen to participate on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and thinks he would do well if he had a few drinks beforehand.
When asked if he would appear on the popular BBC One dancing contest, he told OK! magazine: “Never say never. I think I can dance after a couple pints!”
Frankie – who finished runner-up on the Latin and ballroom show in 2014 – previously admitted the former Chelsea player is an enthusiastic dancer who gets more confident with some Dutch courage.
She said: “I think he’d love to do [Strictly’].
“Whenever we’ve had dancers in The Saturdays or when I was in ‘Strictly’, he was always getting them to teach him moves.
“[‘Strictly’] pro Aljaž [Škorjanec] taught him how to do the figure of eight with the hips and that one comes out when he’s had a few beers.
“I think if he was allowed to drink beforehand, he might be actually quite good.”
The pop star – who said participating on ‘Strictly’ was “a fun experience” – was the first contestant of her instalment to earn a 10 from the judges.

Ella Purnell follows ‘feel good’ accounts on Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Ella Purnell follows “feel good” accounts on Instagram so she doesn’t read negative posts that will “change her mood”.
As a teenager, the ‘Churchill’ star experienced depression and anxiety and she also self-harmed following a bad experience at school, but after learning about what led her to self-harm she now has a number of coping mechanisms in place to prevent her from relapsing into that pattern of behaviour and that includes being careful about her social media interactions.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Ella, 22, said: “You have to work really hard, constantly, at it. There’s always the possibility that you could relapse. Self-harm is always going to be something I think about, because for a long time that was how I coped with pain. Start that communication; check in with your friends and follow some feel-good Instagram people. The first thing that changed my life was telling someone.
“I don’t scroll [aimlessly] anymore, because you always end up seeing something that changes your mood. Really put yourself first. It’s a hard thing to do when you’re growing up.”
The ‘Sweetbitter’ actress had her first panic attack when she was 13 and she can recall feeling very confused about her feelings when she was growing up because she thought you could only be depressed if “something really bad had happened in your life”.
Ella – whose parents separated shortly after she was born – decided to go public with her mental health struggles earlier this year and she is proud that she did as it has not only helped her but also lots of her fans deal with similar issues.
She said: “You feel like it’s a weird secret you’re holding in, but it’s really not. It’s just a part of you and it shouldn’t be this big ‘coming out’. I never thought I would have the courage to talk about it publicly because it’s a very private thing, it’s very personal and vulnerable.
“It was really scary, but it’s been so lovely reading messages from people saying, ‘You’ve encouraged me to speak out, to tell someone’. Then I started thinking, ‘This is my thing.’ ”

Emily Blunt’s daughters love her Mary Poppins voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt’s “cool factor hits the sky” when she does her Mary Poppins voice for her daughters.
The 35-year-old actress has taken on the iconic role made famous by Dame Julie Andrews in the critically acclaimed sequel ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, and she has admitted her two girls – Hazel, four, and two-year-old Violet – simply love when she turns into the magical nanny at home.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning America’, Emily spilled: “Well my daughter quite likes me to do the voice for her sometimes, I think my cool factor hits the sky when I do that. She’ll say, ‘Do your Mary Poppins voice,’ and I’ll say, ‘Spit spot and off we go,’ and she literally [gasps] she loves it. I’m going to dine out on that until they become teenagers and I become inevitably uncool.”
Despite the role winning her the approval of her daughters – whom she has with her husband John Krasinski – Emily noted they still have a soft spot for the 1964 original.
She explained: “They still love Julie Andrews, I mean desperately. I actually asked my daughter, ‘Which one do you like best?’ And she was like, ‘[You’re] an idiot’, And she said, ‘I like them both the same.’ And I was like, ‘Dammit!’ But, I get it.”
Proud mother Emily has previously admitted she is a “different person” now she has had children, and it has had an impact on the way she makes all the decisions in her life.
She explained: “[Being a mum] changes your world completely. You become a different person, because you look at your choices from a different perspective. Whenever I’m considering a project, I always think how it’s going to affect the lives of my daughters. You learn that you’re actually more capable than ever.”

‘Strictly’ look set to approach Louis about being on the next series after a tweet on their official Twitter account merely featured a picture of a phone in response to the 48-year-old filmmaker’s message.

Mick Woodmansey was ‘unaware’ of David Bowie’s drug use

OHMYGOSSIP — Mick ‘Woody’ Woodmansey says he was “unaware” of David Bowie’s drug use.
The 67-year-old drummer was part of Bowie’s alter ego, Ziggy Stardust’s backing band in the early 1970s – which consisted of Woodmansey, guitarist Mick Ronson and bass guitarist Trevor Bolder – however the rocker claims the ‘Starman’ hitmaker did a “good job” of concealing his drug addiction, because the group thought his character change was down to his “ego”.
Speaking to The Metro newspaper, Mick said: “To be honest, we were unaware that he was doing it. When I met up with him in 1980, he said that he tried to keep it off everyone’s minds as such, and I told him he had done a good job because I never knew.
“I’d seen one guy on the road, but I’d never see this guy do anything, so I said to the tour manager, ‘What does that guy do?’ And he said: ‘Oh he’s a supplier.’
“So I thought the road crew who were mainly Americans that that’s how they did it. They had to drive from one gig to another and set up overnight, so maybe they did something to keep awake. I thought he was supplying to them, but no, it was for David.
“It sounds really weird now that you wouldn’t know. There was definitely a character change there through the last couple of tours, but you could put that down to ego, or it’s gone to someone’s head a bit, or he’s a bit tired.. You could always find a reason for it.”
Woody also confessed that during the last gigs he performed with Bowie – who passed away in 2016 after battling liver cancer – the ‘Life on Mars’ singer’s drug use was “taking over” and life on the road was never the same.
He added: “By the last couple of tours unfortunately it was taking over – and it wasn’t the same as the early tours where you did a good show and you had a good laugh, like a gang really, and then went clubbing or went out for a meal. ‘That stopped happening.”

Dua Lipa to release single for Alita: Battle Angel movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa is set to release a new single, which will be used in the upcoming movie ‘Alita: Battle Angel’.
The 22-year-old musician will co-write and perform the track, named ‘Swan Song’, for the epic action-adventure movie produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, and directed by Robert Rodriguez, which will hit UK cinema screens on February 6 2019.
Speaking about Dua’s involvement, Jon said: “From the moment we saw her video for ‘New Rules,’ we knew that Dua Lipa would be the perfect artist to do a song for ‘Alita: Battle Angel’. She has the kick-ass strength, power and attitude in her performances that Alita embodies in the movie. Jim, Robert and I are thrilled to have her onboard and are confident she will make ‘Swan Song’ the perfect inspiring and empowering anthem for our film.”
‘Alita: Battle Angel’ is based on the manga series ‘Gunnm’ by Yukito Kishiro, and Dua said she took on the task of writing the movie’s anthem because the main character is “all about empowerment”, which she said “resonates” with her.
Dua said in a press release: “I am intrigued at both Alita herself, and the amazing team of creators that came together to make this movie possible. I see a little of myself in her, in both her badass spirit and our shared haircut. Alita is all about empowerment and standing up for who you are, which are two things that resonate with me.”
The movie stars Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, and Keean Johnson, and the screenplay was written by James Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis.

Sir Paul McCartney teams up with Emma Stone for anti bullying video

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney and Emma Stone have teamed up for a musical short film designed to combat bullying and negativity.
The 76-year-old rocker has joined forces with the ‘La La Land’ actress to reimagine his new single ‘Who Cares’ as a short film, which features a message of universal positivity, and is hoping to raise awareness for a new anti-bullying campaign called #WhoCaresIDo, which was inspired by the song and film.
Paul also enlisted the help of Creative Visions, a global nonprofit organisation that uses the power of media and the arts to ignite positive social change, and the #WhoCaresIDo campaign was launched with the help of Creative Visions as well as Facebook, Enso, Artemis Rising Foundation and the Blue Chip Foundation.
#WhoCaresIDo hopes to reach millions, first raising awareness and engagement regarding the issues addressed by the song and film, then providing them with tools to take action through a network of experts and partners, empowering people to treat others with support and kindness.
Speaking about the short film and the wider campaign, Paul said in a press release: “My hope is that if there are kids being bullied – and there are … Maybe by listening to this song and watching this video, they might just think it’s not as bad … that it’s the kind of thing you can just stand up to and laugh off and get through.”
Whilst Creative Visions founder Kathy Eldon added: “Millions of people around the world feel silenced, subjugated – bullied – and believe that no one cares,. Our intention with this campaign is to put the power of the song to work and inspire us to show up and care – and let others know that we do care.”
The ‘Who Cares’ short film – which was directed by Brantley Gutierrez and Ryan Heffington – is available exclusively on Apple Music.

Lili Reinhart is taking a Twitter break

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart is taking a break from Twitter.
The 22-year-old actress has dubbed the micro-blogging platform as a “cesspool for evil 15 year olds”, and claimed she is taking a break from the social media platform in order to escape the “disrespectful” comments she receives.
Writing in a post on her Instagram story, the ‘Riverdale’ star wrote: “Do people on Twitter ever get tired of being so negative and disrespectful to literally everyone and everything? Are they really that miserable? There’s hate everywhere. But especially Twitter. It’s like a cesspool for evil 15-year-olds who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and have nothing better to do.
“Taking a break from that toxic site and the people on it who feel the need to constantly attack me, my cast mates, my relationship and ‘Riverdale’.
“Hate to break it to you online trolls: Spreading your hate and overall negativity online won’t make you any less miserable.”
Lili – who is in a relationship with her ‘Riverdale’ co-star Cole Sprouse – has long battled with her online presence, and previously said she strives to find a balance over what to post on social media.
She said: “It’s very much a constant balance of what do I share? What do I not share?
“I want to be authentic, but I also don’t want to give everyone parts of myself that they don’t need to know about.
“I’m mostly just trying to show the goofy and happy side of myself. Even if I’m feeling sad, I try to keep everything positive.”
And the blonde beauty recently slammed Hollywood “praising people” on the size of their waists, as she says her career has made her “hyper-aware” of her body hang ups.
She said: “I didn’t think anything was wrong with my body until I was in an industry that rewards and praises people for having a smaller waist than I will ever have.
“I became hyper-aware of my changing body. I could see the difference in my shape in photos and wondered if anyone else was noticing. I felt this strange, constant struggle of having to live up to the expectation of the appearance that I had already established to the world.”

Gisele Bundchen: There’s no secret to my romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen says there’s no “secret” to her lasting relationship with Tom Brady.
The 38-year-old model has been married to the NFL star – with whom she has son Benjamin, nine, and daughter Vivian, six – since 2009, and says their romance has stood the test of time because they know how to make sure to “keep the communication loving, respectful, and current”.
She said: “I think it’s important to honour each other for who we are, and to not try to change the other. Just to fully accept each other.
“I think it’s important to always keep the communication also loving and respectful and current. I’m not going to talk about something that happened, you know a year ago. We address it, and then we let it go. Because I think with acceptance comes freedom.”
And Gisele says sharing their highs and lows as a couple makes them stronger together.
Speaking on an upcoming episode of the Thrive Global podcast, she added: “When someone you love is happy, it makes you happy, or if they’re sad it makes you sad. You suffer with them and you have joy with them.”
Despite the couple going strong nine years after they tied the knot, their path to a perfect relationship wasn’t easy, as just months into their romance, they discovered the quarterback’s ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, was pregnant with his child.
Writing in her book, ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’, Gisele said: “Needless to say, that wasn’t an easy time. But it was a time that brought about so much growth.”
The blonde beauty recently spoke about Tom’s son Jack, who was born in 2007, and dubbed him as her “bonus child”.
She said: “It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone – there’s no manual to prepare you for that. But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child. He opened my heart in ways I didn’t even know my heart could expand.”

Pete Shelley laid to rest

OHMYGOSSIP — Buzzcocks rocker Pete Shelley has been laid to rest.
The lead singer of the punk rock band passed away from a suspected heart attack at the age of 63 earlier this month, and the band’s official Twitter has now confirmed he was been buried in a private funeral which was held in Maardu, Estonia, where he had been living.
Buzzcocks wrote: “In accordance with Pete Shelley’s wishes, a private funeral was held in Maardu, Estonia on Thursday, December 13th. It was attended by his wife and a few close family friends.
“As noted in his eulogy, ‘However we knew Pete, we will miss him sorely in all his shapes and guises, but his legacy will live on in our memories and in the ways he has touched our lives.'”
Pete’s passing was reported by the BBC after his manager told the outlet, and a tweet from the ‘Ever Fallen In Love’ hitmakers later confirmed the sad news.
They wrote at the time: “It’s with great sadness that we confirm the death of Pete Shelley, one of the UK’s most influential and prolific songwriters and co-founder of the seminal original punk band Buzzcocks.
“Pete’s music has inspired generations of musicians over a career that spanned five decades and with his band and as a solo artist, he was held in the highest regard by the music industry and by his fans around the world.”
Buzzcocks were formed in Bolton in 1976 by Shelley and singer-songwriter Howard Devoto, who left the group a year later in 1977, leaving Shelley as the principal singer-songwriter.
They were regarded as an important influence to the punk rock movement, and are known for their hit singles including ‘Ever Fallen In Love’, ‘What Do I Get?’, and ‘Orgasm Addict’.
Buzzcocks disbanded in 1981 when Shelley took up a solo career and several other members split off to work on side projects, but they have reformed several times since 1989.

Gisele Bundchen: Meditation eased my panic attacks

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen credits meditation with helping to ease her “panic attacks”.
The 38-year-old model has been suffering with her mental health for many years, and says she started meditating in her “early 20s” as a way to help deal with her anxiety, as she says the relaxing practice has given her “a new life”.
She said: “I started meditating in my early 20s, after having severe panic attacks … that’s one of the very important tools that helped me … it actually gave me a new life. When you start being loving with yourself, being loving with others, filling your mind with affirmations and loving thoughts, you create more of that in your life, and that becomes more of your reality.”
Now, the blonde beauty says meditation is part of her every day life, and she wakes up every morning at 5:30am to light a candle, sit in silence and meditate.
She added: “When you reach rock bottom, you have to figure out a way to get out of there. It gave me a new life, and an opportunity to become aware of a new world that I didn’t know existed, which was a world within myself.
“It’s really helpful if I just take a few moments to be quiet for 5, 10 minutes, and take a few deep breaths, and just go into that space. And then when I come out of it, I just feel revitalised and ready to tackle so much more.”
Gisele has even tried to get her husband and NFL star Tom Brady – with whom she has son Benjamin, nine, and daughter Vivian, six – involved, but says he’s not as “diligent” with the practice as she is.
Speaking on an upcoming episode of the Thrive Global podcast, she said: “He has meditated, but I don’t think he’s as diligent as I am with meditation. For me, it came from something that has helped me heal from something that was so challenging in my life. Maybe because he hasn’t had the same need as me, maybe for him, it hasn’t become something so consistent.”

Armie Hammer’s daughter wanted to meet Aladdin in India

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer’s daughter thought she was going to “meet Aladdin” when she went to India to be the flower girl at Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding.
The 32-year-old actor has revealed his four-year-old daughter Harper – whom he has with his wife Elizabeth Chambers – was “excited” about her recent trip to India where she played an important part in the Hollywood couple’s nuptials, because she believed she would be able to meet the fictional character made famous in the eponymously titled 1992 Disney movie.
Speaking to E! News, Armie said: “She loved it. She told everyone at her school … everyone was like, ‘What are you doing for your birthday?’ She’s like, ‘I’m going to India.’ And everyone’s like, ‘Yeah, OK. What are you really doing?’ But, she went to India. So, yeah, they had a great time.
“She was mostly excited about going to India because she thought it meant that she got to meet Aladdin. She didn’t quite understand that Aladdin’s not a real character. But when she got there she felt like she was in the palace anyway.”
The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor – who also has 23-month-old son Ford with his spouse – wasn’t able to attend the couple’s wedding himself, but recently revealed he was there for another memorable time in their lives.
He said: “I couldn’t go [to the wedding], because [I] was in Europe doing a press tour, but my wife and our daughter Harper went. She was one of the flower girls in the wedding.
“We were there for Priyanka and Nick’s first date. We were sitting there, we kinda watched the two of them talking and we were like, ‘Hey, see what’s going on?’ And now they’re married!”
Meanwhile, ‘Quantico’ actress Priyanka recently took to Instagram to reveal she and Nick, 26, are in “marital bliss” following their wedding.
Posting a picture of herself laying on the ‘Jealous’ hitmaker’s chest with her sparkling wedding band fully on display, 36-year-old Priyanka wrote: “Marital bliss they say (sic)”

Julia Roberts knew she was famous after bathroom encounter

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts realised she had reached a new level of fame when a fan asked for an autograph in a bathroom stall.
The 51-year-old actress is now a Hollywood icon, but she has revealed the moment she discovered her fame had reached new heights was when she was going to the bathroom in a public toilet in Georgia, and a woman asked if she was the actress from the 1988 movie ‘Mystic Pizza’.
Julia said: “I went home to Georgia to visit my mom and my younger sister and we went to the movies.
“It was after the movie was over and I was in the bathroom and there was a woman in the bathroom who said, ‘Hey, girl in stall number one, were you in ‘Mystic Pizza’?'”
After the ‘Homecoming’ star confirmed she did in fact play Daisy Arujo in the film, she realised things were “different” when the girl asked for an autograph.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Julia added: “She slid something under the stall [and asked] ‘Will you sign this?’
“[I said] ‘Uh, not right now.’ And I thought, wait, this is different.”
Despite being a global superstar, Julia recently revealed she still can’t believe she inspired Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – who was known as Meghan Markle before marrying Prince Harry this year – to act.
The former ‘Suits’ actress shared in August 2017 that she had begun her acting career because of Julia, and the ‘Pretty Woman’ star has been “floating” ever since she found out.
After being told the fun fact, Julia said: “It’s a great night for me! But I am just going to be floating on that all night!”
In the 2017 profile for Glamour magazine, Meghan – who is currently expecting her first child with her 34-year-old spouse – was tasked with listing the 10 women who “changed her life”, and she noted the ‘Notting Hill’ star as being the actress who made her want to follow that career path.
She wrote at the time: “She was the first person I saw onscreen and thought, ‘That looks like so much fun; I wanna do that.’ When I was younger, someone once told me, ‘You kind of look like Julia Roberts in profile.’ It was the best compliment of all time.”
