Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are ‘doing more than just dating’

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Shelton says he and Gwen Stefani are doing more than “just dating”.
The 42-year-old singer has been in a relationship with the chart-topping singer since 2015 and he’s opened up about their romance, saying it’s something that’s “meant to be”.
He said: “Gwen and I aren’t just dating. This is something that I feel like is meant to be.”
Blake explained that his relationship with the ‘Hollaback Girl’ hitmaker has helped him to “grow as a human being”.
He told ‘Today’: “I’ve learned more from Gwen Stefani as a human being and how to grow as a human being than I have from anybody ever in my life. Anybody.
“She’s everything that you could hope a human being could be. That’s what Gwen is.”
Despite their romance blossoming, Gwen recently insisted she isn’t feeling any “pressure” to tie the knot with Blake.
The singer – who was married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 until 2016 – said they’re not putting any pressure on the idea of getting married, because they’re trying to make sure they live “in the moment” as much as possible.
Gwen – who has kids Kingston, 12, Zuma, ten, and Apollo, four, with her ex-husband – shared: “There is zero pressure … when there’s trauma, the way that we had trauma back in the day.
“Going through all these hard times, [you] get to a place where you find somebody that’s like your best friend, that you know you can depend on and trust and go through life – we’re just trying to be in the moment as much as we can.”
But when Gwen was asked whether their love is “forever”, she replied: “I hope so, yeah!”

Bradley Cooper says Robert De Niro inspired his directing move

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper says Robert De Niro encouraged him to make the move into directing.
The 43-year-old actor moved behind the camera for the first time earlier this year when he helmed ‘A Star Is Born’, and Bradley has revealed the veteran Hollywood star previously urged him to make the switch.
Recalling his transition from actor to director, Bradley told The Hollywood Reporter: “I tried to get him to do this movie, ‘Limitless’, and combine two characters. That was the first time I tried to cast a movie, even though I wasn’t the director, and I went to see him in his hotel room.
“I was pitching him the whole thing and then he wound up saying yes, which blew my mind because he was my hero. After that movie, he said he thought I should direct.”
But in September, Bradley admitted his directorial debut was a huge risk.
The world-famous star – who also appears in the movie – admitted he placed a massive amount of trust in his co-star Lady Gaga.
Bradley confessed: “The thing that I was very aware of from the beginning and I cherish even to this day is how much we both had at stake, because it was a first for both of us.
“We knew that going into it, we were really going to have to rely on each other, because it’s scary putting yourself out there to this degree.”
And Gaga said it was “incredible” to watch Bradley on the set of the film.
She shared: “Just watching him direct, watching him write, watching him write, not just the screenplay, but watching him write music for himself, becoming a musician, seeing him create his character and him guiding me through the process. It was just incredible.”

Prince William and Prince Harry are to ‘split’ Kensington Palace

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly planning to “split” Kensington Palace into two courts for their growing families.
The royal brothers currently occupy a joint household at the London palace with their wives Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as well as William and Catherine’s three children, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and newborn Prince Louis, six months.
But with Harry and Meghan expecting a baby of their own in Spring next year, it has been reported that plans are being put in place for a formal division of the royal household, and the creation of separate courts to reflect the couples’ increasingly different responsibilities.
A source said: “The brothers have leant on each other and looked after each other since their mother died. But now they have their own families, they no longer rely on each other as before.
“They have become different people with different outlooks on life. Splitting the household is the obvious thing to do.”
Prince William, 36, is second in line to the throne and will become the Prince of Wales when his father Prince Charles becomes King, and this responsibility will see him take on far more work than his younger brother Harry, 34, who will be able to “forge his own path”.
The source added: “There is a gulf in the style and approach to the type of work that William and Kate will increasingly do as future head of state and consort, and Harry and Meghan, who have more of a blank canvas with their roles.
“When William becomes the Prince of Wales, he will take on a lot of extra responsibility, including the Duchy of Cornwall and all that entails. Harry and Meghan have none of that, and seem ambitious about forging their own paths.”
And even though the brothers may remain neighbours, the management of the Kensington Palace household is thought to be likely to split too, as each family require something different.
Speaking to the Sunday Times newspaper, the source said: “If you have one private office trying to manage both, things get difficult. William and Harry’s double act has naturally been supplanted by the two couples and their families.”

Milo Ventimiglia: Jennifer Lopez has helped me grow as a human

OHMYGOSSIP — Milo Ventimiglia thinks he’s “grown as a human” working with Jennifer Lopez on ‘Second Act’.
The 41-year-old actor has gushed about his co-star in the new comedy movie, revealing he relished the experience of working with Jennifer on the Peter Segal-directed film.
He shared: “We looked out for each other. I have grown as a human and as an artist spending time with her and that’s really all you can ask for.”
Milo admitted he was “grateful” to have earned the trust of the veteran star, who was specifically selected for the role in the new movie.
He told People: “She’s a creative mogul and a great artist. To have her put her confidence in me as an actor, I was really grateful.”
Meanwhile, Milo recently revealed he “couldn’t get hired” for “one entire year” following the end of his role on ‘Heroes’.
The actor starred as Peter Petrelli on the NBC drama series from 2006 to 2010, and Milo confessed he very nearly walked away from Hollywood after the popular sci-fi show ended, because he found it impossible to get hired for anything else for “one calendar year”.
He said: “I’ve had moments where I’ve had to pick myself up. Probably in my early 30s, I couldn’t get hired in town. I really couldn’t. That was back in the ‘Heroes’ days. I did not work for one calendar year. One entire year, I couldn’t get a job.
“I was really having to re-evaluate what I was going to be doing because, you know, it’s a profession. You need to feed yourself and clothe yourself and have a roof over your head. I was starting to see those things minimise.”

Vanessa Hudgens: I have an affinity towards dads

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens feels “an affinity towards dads”.
The 30-year-old actress has revealed she prefers dealing with fan requests from dads rather than their female counterparts, recalling a recent incident with a mother while she was rushing to catch a flight during a press tour.
Vanessa recalled: “She’s like, ‘Wait, wait! I need a picture for my daughter!’ And I was like, ‘Honestly, I’m about to miss my plane, I’ve got to go.’ She’s like, ‘Come on! You owe me this!’
“And I was like, ‘I have to go.’ And she said, ‘You’re a b****!’ Like, oh my god, I’m literally minding my own business and getting harassed by women.”
On the other hand, the ‘High School Musical’ star revealed she typically finds dads to be easier to deal with.
She told ‘Hot Ones’: “The dads are usually so sweet.
“I have such an affinity towards dads. They’re just like bashful and like, ‘I don’t want to embarrass anyone, but could you please…?’ It’s a more calm, timid approach, which is so charming to me.”
Meanwhile, Vanessa recently revealed she’s “so happy” with her long-time boyfriend Austin Butler.
The high-profile couple have been dating for almost seven years, and Vanessa is certain she’s found the love of her life.
She said: “I’m coming up on seven years with Austin and I just know that I’m so happy and he’s like such an amazing partner and I’m just like so grateful to not have to be in the dating scene.”
Prior to that, Vanessa admitted she would like to start a family in her “late 30s”.
She explained: “I want to get married, travel, then have kids – probably in my late 30s. Everyone’s clock is different. We both respect, trust and admire each other.
“It’s so solid now because I feel strong as an independent woman. I am very self-reliant, but it’s nice to have a best friend you can share victories with as well as losses.”

Shakira accused of tax evasion in Spain

OHMYGOSSIP — Shakira has been accused by Spanish prosecutors of owing more than €14.5 million in unpaid tax.
The 41-year-old pop star – who is married to Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique – has been accused of evading tax between 2012 and 2014, with prosecutors arguing that Shakira was living in Spain during that period, even though she claimed she was based in the Bahamas.
Under Spanish law, people who spend more than six months a year in the country are required to pay their taxes in Spain.
And according to prosecutors, the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker was spending the majority of her time in the country with Pique and she was only going overseas for professional reasons.
The authorities are seeking the unpaid tax bill from all of her global income, rather than what she just earned in Spain.
Now, Shakira – who declared Spain as her official residence in 2015 – must wait to find out whether there is enough evidence for her to face trial.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Shakira admitted she feared her career might have been over after she suffered severe vocal problems.
The singer – who was born in the city of Barranquilla in Colombia – said: “It was like a vascular lesion. So you can imagine, there were times when I doubted I would ever be in front of a crowd again singing my songs.”
However, Shakira didn’t need to undergo surgery in order to make a full recovery.
She shared: “Miraculously, and contrary to everything the doctors predicted, I recovered naturally. They all foresaw surgery, but the lesion disappeared completely from my vocal cords.
“I remember praying. I had forgotten to pray for a while, but when you go through hardship you suddenly recover your faith! I was promising God if I could ever use my voice again, I would celebrate every night – and that’s what I’m doing.”

Ariana Grande urged Kanye West and Drake to ‘behave’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande urged Kanye West and Drake to “behave” amid their squabble on Thursday (13.12.18).
The 25-year-old pop star took to her Twitter account to tell the high-profile rappers to suspend their dispute as she and Miley Cyrus were preparing to release new music.
She wrote: “guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u (sic)”
Miley then replied to Ariana’s tweet, saying: “Didn’t they hear the news ?! War IS over ! Thank you , next! (sic)”
And Ariana responded: “period. (sic)”
Ariana – whose new track ‘Imagine’ is from her album ‘Thank U, Next’ – explained via social media that her latest record is about “pretending” a relationship “never ended”.
Miley, on the other hand, has released a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic single ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over).
Earlier on Thursday, Kanye opened up about his feud with Drake on Twitter.
The outspoken rap star shared a screenshot of a text message he had received which said Drake had filed a “clearance request” for ‘Say What’s Real’, a song from his 2009 mixtape ‘So Far Gone’, which was produced by Kanye.
The ‘Heartless’ rapper then went on to accuse Drake of avoiding him, but also taking sly shots at him at the same time.
He wrote alongside the screenshot: “This proves s**t faker than wrestling
“Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths (sic)”
Kanye, 41 – who is married to Kim Kardashian West – then claimed he’d been trying to meet with the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper for “six months”.
He said Drake had ignored him, even though he was still speaking to his mother-in-law Kris Jenner, as well as Travis Scott – who is dating Kim’s sister Kylie Jenner.

Vanessa Hudgens: Plastic surgery isn’t a bad thing

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t consider plastic surgery to be “a bad thing”.
The 30-year-old actress thinks the popularity of plastic surgery is merely a reflection of the “social landscape that we’re in”, and she cannot understand why so many people consider it to be a negative trend.
She explained: “It’s not just my industry, it’s in the world right now girl. That is America. That is the social landscape that we’re in.
“But if you look at ancient cultures, different cultures all over the world, the ways that we make ourselves feel beautiful are different.”
Vanessa pointed out that other cultures have developed similar beauty trends.
And the brunette beauty believes the public ought to consider alternative beauty trends before berating people for undergoing surgery.
She told Us Weekly: “Some cultures put giant plates in their lip, other cultures shove bones through their noses and right now the way that America perceives beauty at times is related to plastic surgery.”
As a result, the ‘Spring Breakers’ star refuses to criticise people who opt to have plastic surgery, even though it’s not something she’s considered doing.
Vanessa said: “I don’t think it’s a bad thing, [but] I don’t think it’s necessarily for me at this point of my life.”
The world-famous star is widely known for her health-conscious approach to life.
But Vanessa insisted her strict fitness regime isn’t simply about looking good – she considers it to be important for her mental wellbeing, too.
She reflected: “That’s always been my thing. I’m like a yogi of 16 years now. So I’ve always been about self-reflection. I think it’s so important for your mental health as well as your physical health, and it’s just really important to show yourself love and compassion.”

Ashley Roberts’ emotional rollercoaster

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Roberts has found ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to be an “emotional rollercoaster”.
The former Pussycat Dolls star – who, along with professional partner Pasha Kovalev has been in the dance-off for the last three weeks – admitted she’s been under a lot of “mental strain” and gripped with doubts throughout rehearsals but insisted the stress has all been worthwhile.
She said: “The emotional rollercoaster ride, it is such a process throughout the week, what you go through.
“You start doubting yourself [and think] ‘how is this all going to come together on Saturday?’ but it does.
“I thought it would be physically challenging but also the emotional and mental strain that sometimes happens is whoa!
“But it’s all worth it when you look back; we’ve all done such amazing work.”
After three weeks in the bottom two, the 37-year-old singer admitted she stopped taking it to heart and just wanted to focus on using the extra time on stage to “give a little show”.
Asked how she’s stayed motivated at a press conference for the show’s finalists in London, she said: “The motivation comes naturally, when I first got the call to do this show I was so excited and so grateful to be part of this amazing show.
“The first two times in the dance off I was like ‘OK this is a bit of a bummer’ but Monday hits, it’s a week, it’s a fresh start and you get in there and you get focused.
“By the third time I looked at Pash and said ‘OK hunny should we just give them a little show because we’re here’.”
And Ashley – who will compete with Pasha against Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, and Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice to scoop the glitterball trophy – is determined to enjoy every second of the show’s final on Saturday night (15.12.18).
She said: “The amazing thing though is that we did have battle it out to get to the final but I’m so grateful to be here and just go out with these fabulous people and enjoy it.”

Kevin Clifton praises Stacey Dooley

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Clifton wept as he thanked Stacey Dooley for helping him fall in love with dancing again.
The 36-year-old professional dancer admitted this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has helped him get back on the right track after a “crazy” year in which he split from wife Karen Clifton but still embarked on a tour with her, and he praised his show partner for her hard work in getting them to the finals.
Speaking on spin-off show ‘It Takes Too’, Kevin wiped away tears as he said to Stacey: “I’m feeling a bit emotional right now. I just want to, for God’s sake, I just want to say thank you to you, not only for the hard work you have put in.
“I have had one of the craziest years of my life, you’ve just been so nice to work with, I’ve enjoyed it so much. I know I said this the other day, but, I’ve fallen in love with dancing all over again and Strictly all over again. I love this show. Thank you for everything.”
Stacey then hugged Kevin while presenter Zoe Ball also grew tearful.
Later in the evening, Kevin also paid tribute to the documentary maker on Instagram.
He shared a video of her achievements on the show and wrote: “Loved every second. Thank you @sjdooley”.
Stacey replied with a red heart emoji.
The professional dancer has admitted he was hoping to be paired with Stacey at the start of the series because he was a big fan of her work – and was then delighted to find she wasn’t as serious as he expected.
He said: “I really was hoping to get Stacey as my partner at the beginning because I was a superfan of her documentaries, so when she was announced on the show I was like, ‘Oh please, please please.’
“But then, I thought she’d be nice and everything, but I thought she’d be quite serious because of the way she is in her documentaries, but it turns out once you got in the training room, she’s really hyper. All the time. A massive idiot in a really lovely way. She’s just as daft as I am.”

Dick Van Dyke had Mary Poppins Returns doubts

OHMYGOSSIP — Dick Van Dyke had “some misgivings” about ‘Mary Poppins Returns’.
The 93-year-old actor has reprised his role as Bert, 54 years after the original movie was released, and he admitted he wasn’t initially sure a sequel was a good idea because they usually “don’t work” and can’t compare to the original.
However, he’s delighted with the new film – which sees Emily Blunt take over from Dame Julie Andrews as the magical nanny – and thinks it’s a fitting tribute to the original Walt Disney movie.
He said: “I had some misgivings, because almost traditionally sequels don’t work. They’re never quite as good as the original.
“[But] this is an homage to Walt and the original movie. I was so impressed that their heart was in the right place. They wanted to pay respect to the original. And I was so tickled when they asked me, because it was kind of like bookends for me.”
The veteran actor was “surprised” at how well he got to grips with his song-and-dance number in the new movie and he had a great time shooting the scene.
He told People magazine: “The minute I heard I was going to do a little number, that sold me.
“And I thought I could contribute by just being a little bit of a reminder of the original. And I think it turned out well.
“I got to jump up on a desk and do a dance number. It surprised everybody, but nobody was as surprised as I was. We did several takes of it, and I was just amazed. And I enjoyed it, of course.”
Despite his lengthy career, Dick thinks ‘Mary Poppins’ is what he’ll always be remembered for.
He said: “I would imagine it would be the thing I would be remembered for.
“I get a lot of mail today from kids who have just discovered ‘Mary Poppins’. So it’s on its third generation and holding up very well. I’m sure that if I’m remembered for anything it’ll be ‘Mary Poppins’.”

Slash: Rock got boring

OHMYGOSSIP — Slash thinks rock music has been “dull and boring” for the last decade.
The Guns n’ Roses guitarist believes commercial forces had a negative impact on the genre as bands were pressured into making their songs radio friendly rather than doing something new and exciting, prompting fans to find what they’re looking for in other genres such as rap and hip-hop.
He told Billboard Radio China: “When Velvet Revolver came out, there was definitely a movement that started in the early to mid-’90s that held up all the way through the end of that decade and went into the millennium. And so we came out and there was tons of new rock and roll bands. And they weren’t ‘nu metal’ and they weren’t indie bands, but there was definitely this kind of indie-esque feel to them.
“And I think one of the reasons that Velvet Revolver was as successful as it was had a lot to do with [singer] Scott Weiland, because he was still a holdover from that kind of thing, with Stone Temple Pilots, that came from the ’90s and blah blah blah. Anyway, but it was all cool.
“And then, as we got down the line, it seemed that rock sort of got… More than anything, the commercial approach to rock and roll that the industry forces on bands, or forces people to think that this is how they have to go about it to succeed, and it just turns into this generic mishmosh that manages to get on the radio but doesn’t really turn anybody on, and it’s just dull and boring and people start looking elsewhere.”
However, the 53-year-old rocker thinks things are starting to change and he’s excited to see how some new “hungry, young” bands fare in the coming years.
He added: “And I think that was, really, what happened to the industry, as far as rock and roll is concerned, after 2006 up until just recently. But it seems to be turning over a new leaf right now. So I’m really interested to see where it goes over the next few years, ’cause there’s a lot of really hungry, young, rock and roll bands getting together right now that I’m aware of.
“And, obviously, Greta Van Fleet have done amazingly well and made everybody perk up and go, ‘Oh, wow!’ Now there’s people out there looking for young, teenage rock and roll bands to sign. So it’s interesting.
“If you watch everything as it develops in real time, it’s really, really boring and s**t takes what seems like forever. But if you’re not paying attention, all of sudden, you’ll turn around and go, ‘Oh my God! Something just changed.’ And it’s just a constant state of ebbs and flows of rock and roll in this business.”

Idris Elba wasn’t attractive until recently

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba thinks it’s only recently “other races” have started finding him attractive.
The 46-year-old actor was recently named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine but he doesn’t think he’s necessarily considered conventionally “beautiful” in many parts of the world.
He said: “Going back, the kind of place the Spot (90s London nightclub) was, if I saw you and you saw me, in that environment, which was very culturally integrated, you’re a very good-looking person … I’d have gone, ‘All right!’ Or you might have found me … And to us, coming from that environment, it was a sexy bar, and it was sexy because it was culturally liberated.
“It was good-looking people, different races, having a good time.
“But then, if I go to Newcastle, maybe I’m not … I don’t know whether they think I’m attractive up there. Because I don’t look like the guys who are considered beautiful there.
“I went to America, and it was very much, I was a good-looking actor, but only to black women. And recently – but only recently – other races have gone, ‘Oh. He’s very attractive.’ ”
The ‘Mountain Between Us’ actor admitted he can be “quite” vain and is starting to notice the effects of ageing.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I’ve noticed the differences from when I was 29. I’ve noticed how much slower things heal, how much harder it is to get rid of your tub …”
Idris doesn’t think it’s harder to be a man in Hollywood now in the age of the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements.
He said: “It’s only difficult if you’re a man with something to hide.”
The ‘Luther’ actor admitted he wishes he didn’t have to be in the public eye, though he’s happy to have been recognised for his work.
He said: “I think people don’t realise that, when you say ‘famous’ … It’s one thing to be famous, as in, celebrated for your work, another to be in the public eye
“If I could go back, would I want to be in the public eye? No.”

Drake defended by baby’s mom

OHMYGOSSIP — The mother of Drake’s son has mocked Kanye West.
The ‘Famous’ rapper launched an online tirade against the ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker earlier this week, in which he accused his rival of threatening him and his family, but Drake’s only response was to share a string of laughing face emojis on his Instagram story.
And after Ariana Grande lightheartedly urged the “grown men” who were “arguing online” to stop while she and Miley Cyrus released some new music, Sophie Brussaux – who has son Adonis, 14 months, with the ‘God’s Plan’ singer – couldn’t resist taking a swipe at Kanye.
She replied to a screenshot of the tweet: “I would hardly call Kanye arguing with himself ‘grown men.’ ”
Sophie’s comment came after Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West – who has children North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 11 months, with the 41-year-old rapper – sprung to the defence of her husband.
She tweeted: “@drake Never threaten my husband or our family. He paved the way for there to be a Drake … My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world. (sic)”
The tirade was launched after the duo – who were once close friends – famously fell out after Kanye deliberately decided to release new music close to Drake’s release date and though it previously seemed they had smoothed things over, the ‘All Day’ hitmaker hit out again this week.
He shared a screenshot of a text message he had received which stated the 32-year-old star had filed a “clearance request” for ‘Say What’s Real’, a song which featured on his 2009 mixtape ‘So Far Gone’, which was produced by Kanye.
The ‘Heartless’ rapper then went on to accuse Drake of avoiding him, but taking underhanded shots at him at the same time.
He wrote alongside the screenshot: “This proves s**t faker than wrestling
“Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths (sic)”
Kanye then claimed he’d been trying to meet with the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper for “six months”, but said Drake had ignored him whilst still speaking to his mother-in-law Kris Jenner, as well as Travis Scott, who is dating Kylie Jenner, the half-sister of Kanye’s wife.
In another tweet, he wrote: “Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro You sneak dissing on trav records and texting Kris talking bout how’s the family (sic)”
Just over an hour after his rant was posted, Kanye took to Twitter again to claim that Drake had now gotten in touch.
He wrote: “Drake finally called
“Mission accomplished.”

Her husband – who has three children from a previous relationship – shared the same image on his account as he thanked his wife for their daughter and vowed to try to be a “great” father.
He wrote: “I found a new love!!! Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Thank you Queen @remyma She is beautiful!! Wowwwwwww THE GOLDEN Child IS HERE!!! #thegoldenchild Gonna continue, working on me. So I can be a great father. Happy (sic)”

He wrote: “Tough labor… but my wife is still fighting through it. She’s a warrior! Keep us in your prayers! The #GoldenChild is on its way! (sic)”
The couple announced their happy news in July after renewing their vows to mark 10 years of marriage.
In a video shared on Instagram, Remy – who has an 18-year-old son, Jayson, from a previous relationship – said: “Although we told you guys that we were renewing our vows, which we are, we also wanted y’all out here when we told you guys…”
Papoose continued: “We having a baby” while rubbing Remy’s stomach.
Remy, wearing a stunning pink and white lace embellished gown, wrote alongside the post: “Oh yea…& then this happened” with a winky face emoji.
The ‘Wake Me Up’ singer – whose real name is Reminisce Mackie – tied the knot with Papoose over the phone back in 2008 while she was incarcerated in New York state prison and held a proper ceremony when she was released in 2016.

Jada Pinkett Smith battled severe depression ‘for years’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith battled severe depression “for years”.
The 47-year-old actress – who has kids Jaden, 20, and Willow, 18, with husband Will Smith – has opened up about her mental health struggles in her Facebook Watch series, ‘Red Table Talk’, confessing that waking up used to be the “worst part” of her day.
She shared: “I was severely depressed, severely. And that was something that I battled with for years. Waking up in the morning was like the worst part of the day.”
Jada revealed that each and every day used to feel like an enormous struggle for her.
She said: “By the time the evening time came I was at least like, ‘OK, I’m good’. But then you go to sleep again and then you gotta … you gotta restart.”
Meanwhile, Jada has admitted that race “always” caused the end of her relationships with white men.
The Hollywood star has dated Caucasian guys in the past, but the romances never lasted because they had “no idea” about oppression.
She said: “I have dated some really wonderful white men but it was interesting in that you’re dating someone who has no idea what oppression is.
“He’s at the top of the food chain, he doesn’t understand. It’s a very hard thing for him to be able to relate to. It was always the factor in the relationship that made it break.”
The ‘Girls Trip’ actress also admitted to changing her behaviour around white women because she feels judged by them.
