Amy Adams’ Vice weight gain

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams gained 12-15lbs to play Lynne Cheney in ‘Vice’.
The 44-year-old actress portrays the wife of former US Vice-President Dick Cheney in the new biopic and says putting on weight helped her to portray the “grounded” Lynne.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I didn’t gain as much weight as [co-star] Christian Bale, so it’s easy to not notice mine. Christian also lost all of his — maybe I hung on to some of my weight, I’m OK with that. It ended up probably being around 12 or 15 pounds. The weight gain was great because I felt that Lynne was somebody who was very grounded and had a lot of gravitas in the way that she walked; she was not flirty or light in any way. As I started to embrace her connection to the earth, that’s when it started really clicking in.”
Amy has received acting Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for ‘Vice’ and the Netflix drama ‘Sharp Objects’ and she has praised ‘Vice’ for helping her to transition after starring as Camille in the psychological thriller.
She said: “The thing that was really amazing was that I moved really quickly into ‘Vice’ after I finished ‘Sharp Objects’. I took a working vacation after ‘Sharp Objects’ and then did reshoots on ‘Justice League’ and then came back and immediately began research, hair and makeup and wardrobe for ‘Vice’. I credit working on ‘Vice’ for helping pull me out of [‘Sharp Objects’] Camille. If I hadn’t had something to focus on that felt so different, I might have had a different transition out of that character.”

Danielle Lloyd: Fame isn’t fun

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd insists fame isn’t fun.
The 34-year-old model – who has sons Archie, eight, Harry, seven, and five-year-old George with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara and Ronnie, 15 months, with fiance Michael O’Neill – finds it “upsetting” that so many people seem to seek out a life in the spotlight because life in the public eye comes with a lot of pressure.
She told Closer magazine: “People are so desperate to be famous these days – it’s actually upsetting.
“I can tell you it’s not as much fun as it looks. There’s a lot of pressure and a lot of ups and downs.
“I was in a bubble of partying and fame – I wasn’t really living in the real world. Now I am.”
Despite her own partying past, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star – who is planning to undergo gender selection to have a fifth child next year – loves the quieter life she leads now.
She said: “When I was younger, it was just me, me, me. The life I was living wasn’t rewarding.
“These days, I’m always driving my boys to football practice – but I wouldn’t change a thing.
“Now I can’t wait to marry Michael and have a baby girl.”
While Danielle previously had breast implants and admitted earlier this year she had undergone cosmetic fillers, she can’t understand why so many young stars are going under the knife because she thinks they are losing their individuality.
She said: “People are morphing into each other. It’s mad.
“I don’t understand the bum craze either – you hear such horror stories.
“I’d never, ever, have any more surgery. I want to grow old gracefully.
“Plus Michael loves the way I look and that’s all that matters.”

Cheryl Tweedy for Strictly?

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Tweedy has been urged to compete in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 35-year-old popstar’s ‘The Greatest Dancer’ co-star Oti Mabuse is a professional dancer on BBC One’s ‘Strictly’ and she thinks Cheryl would make a fantastic contestant.
Speaking to The Sun, Oti said: “I would love to see her try. I think if she did ‘Strictly’, people would love her and see another side that they haven’t seen yet. She would be brilliant.”
Despite recent reports that the pair have not hit it off on set, Oti insisted she and Cheryl have become firm friends.
She said: “We’re generally getting to know each other and there’s something about her that I love.
“I feel like once she lets you in she kind of takes care of you like a sister.”
Meanwhile, Cheryl recently slammed reports she and Oti – who star alongside Matthew Morrison on the show – have not been getting along.
A representative for the star said: “It’s a fabricated story – yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show. It’s a shame we haven’t moved past this.”
“Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her.”
Oti added: “I love Cheryl and had a great time filming ‘The Greatest Dancer’ with her and I can’t wait to see her again soon.”
And a spokesperson for ‘The Greatest Dancer’ said: “Both Cheryl and Oti have a great relationship and this comes across on screen. There is absolutely no truth to any suggestion they don’t get on.”

Aston Merrygold slams Craig Revel Horwood

OHMYGOSSIP — Aston Merrygold has slammed Craig Revel Horwood for his elimination from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2017.
The former JLS star was booted off the show last year after Craig gave his Viennese Waltz a lowly four out of 10 and Aston is still upset about it, as Ruth Langsford received the same score even though she fell over during her routine.
Aston – who will return to the show for the Christmas special – said: “Craig gave me a four. Can he justify that? Not really, I don’t think so, personally. Anton and Ruth got a four from him and they fell over in their routine and ended up on the floor. Was my routine bad enough that it matched someone’s that fell over?
“I think I got eight, seven, seven — something like that and there wasn’t really consistency there. Fair enough, he didn’t like the routine, but maybe think about the scoring.”
Aston will team up with professional partner Janette Manrara again but believes they could have won the competition in 2017 if the Couple’s Choice option had been introduced during his stint on the show.
He said: “Couple’s Choice? Are you kidding me? I said to some of the execs, ‘Great to see you, but I’m fuming. Why didn’t you add Couple’s Choice last year?’
“We could have done stuff that Strictly has never seen before, 100 per cent.”
Aston, 30, will compete against Caroline Flack, Jake Wood, Michael Vaughan, Anita Rani and Ann Widdecombe in the Christmas special.

Christopher Eccleston’s ‘miserable’ movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Eccleston had a “miserable experience” on ‘Thor: The Dark World’.
The 54-year-old actor portrayed Malekith, The ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, in the 2013 superhero movie and though he thought director Alan Taylor and lead actor Chris Hemsworth did a great job, he signed up without being aware it would take seven hours a day to transform him into his character, which he didn’t enjoy.
He said: “They said to me in the negotiations, ‘There’ll be a little bit of make-up’. What they didn’t say was that it’d be seven hours of it, which was very dishonest of them.
“That was a miserable experience and a dreadful performance, but I loved working with Alan – he’s a great director.
“And Hemsworth was fantastic. A generous actor who really had his feet on the ground.”
Christopher also branded his own performance as Raymond Calitri in ‘Gone In 60 Seconds’ “s***e” and admitted his latest job as hard man Harvey in ‘Dead In A Week (Or Your Money Back)’ is the first time he’s been happy in such a role.
He said: “Whenever I’ve played these sorts of people before, I’ve failed miserably.
“In ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ I was s***e – though I was told recently by a fan that, ‘You’re so bad in it, it’s good.’
“I take my responsibility, but in ‘G.I. Joe’ and ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’, the writing was poor.”
One of the actor’s first films was director Danny Boyle’s debut movie ‘Shallow Grave’, and Christopher recalled how it was an “intense” shoot, and though he didn’t really get on with co-stars Ewan McGregor and Kerry Fox, he thinks that was good for the picture.
He told Total Film magazine: “It was an intense shoot.
“Myself, Ewan and Kerry were never going to be friends – we just had different approaches to acting. But I think that was good for the film.
“We made it largely on an industrial estate in Glasgow that was freezing.
“I remember we wrapped on Bonfire Night and Danny Boyle looked like Jack Nicholson in ‘The Shining’.
“His hair was stood up on end, his eyes were popping out, fireworks were going off and he turned around to me and said, ‘I think I’m going mad.’ ”

Cardi B and Offset holiday together

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B and Offset are holidaying in Puerto Rico.
The former couple may have just split up a few weeks ago but they have been spotted enjoying some sun on the back of a jet ski in the Caribbean island.
Cardi had reportedly been planning spend Christmas with Offset for the sake of their daughter Kulture.
A source said recently: “Cardi B wants Offset to be a part of Kulture’s life and wants him to spend Christmas with his daughter. It’s Kulture’s first Christmas and it means a lot to Cardi to have the family together … She plans to spend time and celebrate the holiday [in the Dominican Republic].”
Offset has made a number of public gestures to get Cardi back, with the most recent one when he crashed his ex’s set at Rolling Loud festival in Los Angeles, along with a huge ‘Take Me Back Cardi’ sign made out of white and red roses. Although she rejected his apology, he still thinks it was the right thing to do.
He tweeted recently: “All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. A n***a was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh (sic)”
And Cardi plans to “reset” in 2019 after splitting from Offset.
She said: “Everything is good! I’m very excited for 2019 – I just feel like it’s going to be a reset. 2018 was the good, bad, and the ugly year, a lot of good, a lot of bad, a lot of ugly all mixed together.
“A lot of things scare me … I never wanted to protect somebody so much, I just want to protect my baby. ‘Oh, my gosh, you’re so innocent and this world is so evil.’ I just want to also protect her. I guess she’s born in fame … I just want early to teach her to be confident … I know when she starts reading and she sees how mean the world is, I just want her to be like, ‘I’m fabulous and rich and I don’t give a f**k.'”

John Legend’s album advice from Mariah Carey

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend was encouraged to make a Christmas album by Mariah Carey.
The 39-year-old singer has produced his first festive compilation, ‘A Legendary Christmas’ and admitted it was the ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ hitmaker who gave him the idea for the record.
He explained: “We did a song called ‘When Christmas Comes’. Even at the time, Mariah was like, ‘You need to do a Christmas album’.
“And I agreed and I just didn’t feel like I had the time at that time to do it.
“But I made time this year and I’m glad I did.”
John – who has children Luna, two, and Miles, seven months, with wife Chrissy Teigen – had also promised to “fully embrace” the theme on the live shows that accompanied the record.
Speaking in a recent interview, he pledged: “We’re going to make [the show] Christmassy.
“We’re going to have decorations and fully embrace the retro vibe.
“I think we set the tone with the album photoshoot and we’ll continue with that tone for the tour.”
And the ‘All of Me’ singer doesn’t think his embracing of the festive season every night will leave him tired of Christmas.
He said: “Who knows how I’ll feel after that tour, but I think after the tour and then a significant break from Christmas, I’ll probably actually want to do some more.”
John’s festive record has already won over his whole family.
He said: “They all like it. Chrissy likes hearing it, Luna too.
“We all like to dance to it and we all love Christmas music.
“I think we’re all unabashedly embracing tradition and the festive spirit and I think it’s why I featured the family in the album photoshoot – it’s really all about family and love and music.”

Dylan O’Brien is single

OHMYGOSSIP — Dylan O’Brien and Britt Robertson have split.
The long term couple – who dated for six years – have quietly called it quits, Us Weekly magazine reports.
It is not the first time the couple have been plagued by split rumours as at the beginning of the year, Dylan was forced to confirm he is still with Britt.
He said at the time: “Sometimes I look back and I’m like, ‘Man, I actually lived with that for more than half a year of my life. And my girlfriend did not leave me.’ It’s great.”
Whilst the couple loved spending time with each other, Britt confessed they both hate it when the other is watching them act on set and they instead keep their visits away from the set.
Speaking back in 2015, she shared: “I hate when he’s on set watching me work. I think it’s because we’re both actors and very aware of the process. He hates it when I’m on set when he’s working and vice versa. I think it makes sense that we’re a little shy and sensitive about working in front of our significant others – to me it makes sense. When I go visit him I don’t even go on set. And, when he visits me it’s rare that I’ll go on set.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore feels “blessed” to have the best memories with her family.
The ‘Miss You Already’ star is so grateful to be a mother to Olive, six, and Frankie, four – who she shares with her ex-husband Will Kopelman – even through the hard times.
She wrote on Instagram: “#TheWayItLooksToUs: MY REALITY BECOMES MY MEMORIES … And when I look back, it wasn’t so bad … When I cleaned up my daughter’s mess, the powdered sugar in the air fell into my mouth and I realised how sweet my reality really is … Sometimes what seems like the biggest mess can be your greatest memory. Someone wise once told me that memories are what you take with you. #TheAirIsSweet … And life goes on. In that same hallway, Olive directs us all in a little play and we make a video! Meanwhile, Drew previously insisted she won’t let her children go into acting just yet but she would be “so supportive” if they wanted to follow in her footsteps in later life.
She said: “I’m not going to let them be kid actors. That’s so not their journey. If they want to be actors later in life, I would be so supportive of it. Can you imagine me being a mom who is pushing her kids out there? That’s not going to happen.”

Jack Osbourne’s divorce finalised

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Osbourne has finalised his divorce.
The 33-year-old television personality will started 2019 with a new chapter after he and his ex-wife Lisa Stelly filed the final paperwork about their split.
The couple have made an agreement about custody of their children – Andy, three, Pearl, six, and Minnie, 10 months – as well as arrangements about child support, The Blast reports.
Lisa filed for divorce back in May after six years of marriage.
They wrote in a joint statement at the time: “Hello! So the news about us separating has probably come as a bit of a shock to everyone. But, we just want to clear the air and share with you what’s going on. So, first and foremost, we absolutely still love each other. Our family is the most important thing in our lives, and we tried everything we could for many years to make this work.
“What’s best for our family right now is that we separate lovingly, and remain best friends who are committed to raising our children together. We had seven beautiful years of being a couple, filled with the most amazing moments and we will be eternally grateful to one another for that. We also have three wonderful children who we cherish more than anything. We are disappointed but feel confident that we will continue to grow our relationship as co-parents and best friends. Lots of love, Jack and Lisa. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Jack previously revealed how he feels there is an “ignorant freedom” for those who are not parents.
He explained: “There’s an ignorant freedom without being a parent. You don’t realise how you can do things at ease, and you can just jump on a plane and you can just get in your car and go. There’s certain things that you don’t [understand how easy they are] until [they’re gone]. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world … I think I’m a pretty realistic parent. I like to try and ride the line of being fun, but yet mean when I say, ‘This is how it’s gonna be.'”

Hugh Grant bemused by festive popularity

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Grant “doesn’t know” why ‘Love Actually’ is still popular.
The 58-year-old actor thinks it’s “nice” the 2003 ensemble romantic comedy – in which he played the Prime Minister – is still screened over the festive season but he’s amazed it’s so well-loved.
He said: “I don’t know why ‘Love Actually’ is still so popular.
“Everyone watches it at Christmas, which is nice.
“Do I remember anything from filming? I mean, there was the horror of that scene where I had to dance around.
“I suspect that was the most excruciating scene ever committed.
“It wasn’t easy for an Englishman in his 40s to do at 7 in the morning, stone-cold sober.”
While the ‘Four Weddings and A Funeral’ actor’s career has moved away from romantic comedies in recent years, he’s still “very proud” of his previous work – though he’s also thankful being “old and wrinkly” means he now gets offered different projects.
He said in a recent interview: “I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth with romantic comedies.
“I’m proud of them and they are very popular.
“If I get home from the pub and switch on the TV, there I am, chatting up some girl.
“I am grateful for them, but I’m also very pleased to be through with them.
“Different stuff comes across my desk now that I’m old and wrinkly.”
Hugh recently hailed his ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and ‘Love Actually’ co-star Emma Thompson as a “genius”.
But he added: “She is not remotely sane. She’s nuttier and nuttier as the years go.”
And he thinks ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ actress Renee Zellweger is equally “nutty”, but they get on very well.
He said: “Renee loves me and I love Renee. Well, I mean she’s in the same category as Emma Thompson, in terms of lunacy, but an amazing actress of course, and very generous.”

Aled Jones embarrassed by song

OHMYGOSSIP — Aled Jones used to run away whenever he heard ‘Walking in the Air’.
The 47-year-old singer-and-presenter shot to fame in 1985 when he was just 14 after he was asked by chance to record a version of ‘The Snowman’ theme and had no idea how big the song would become – or how embarrassing he would find it.
He wrote in a guest column for Closer magazine: “‘Walking in the Air’ came about by chance in 1985.
“I went into the studio to record something for a Toys R Us advert and they asked me to sing the song.
“The boy who originally sang it in the film, his voice had broken, so I sang the advert version.
“Little did I know it would still be played over 30 years later.
“When I was at school, I would go bright red every time I heard it – if I was in a shop and the song began to play, I’d have to run out.”
And the ‘Songs of Praise’ star – who has children Emilia, 16, and Lucas, 13, with wife Claire Fosset – admitted the song has always been banned in his own household.
He added: “My family don’t play it though – they know better.
“They used to laugh and point at me when it was played in public.”
Luckily, Aled is much less embarrassed about his new music.
He said: “Fortunately, I can listen to the album I did with Russell Watson this year, ‘In Harmony’. We’re really proud of it.”

Kerry Katona gets her own gifts

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona buys her own Christmas presents.
The former Atomic Kitten singer – who has Molly, 17, and Lilly-Sue, 15, with ex-husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 11, and Max, 10, with second spouse Mark Croft and four-year-old Dylan-Jorge with third husband George Kay – gets one gift from her mum but it doesn’t upset her as she just wants her kids to have a great day.
She said: “I just want my kids to be happy. o one gets me anything – I do the shopping myself. I buy my own presents.
“Actually, my mum gets me pyjamas every year and that’s it.
“But look, it’s not about me, it’s about the kids.”
The 38-year-old star doesn’t worry about how much she spends on her brood because most of them rely just on her for gifts.
Asked how much she spends on the kids, she told new! magazine: “About £500 each, but you have to remember that the youngest three only have me.
“If I don’t buy for them, no one will.
“They have no aunties or uncles – there’s no one on the other side of the family who would get them anything.
“Mark hasn’t seen them for years and I’m not speaking about George.”
Kerry is looking forward to indulging in her favourite foods on December 25 and isn’t worried about putting on weight because she’s been working so hard in pantomime.
She said: “I think I’m the only person who must lose weight at Christmas. It’s because panto is so gruelling, so I’m not too worried about bingeing on the day.”

Andy Cohen ‘can’t wait’ to be a father

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Cohen “can’t wait” to be a father.
The 50-year-old star announced earlier this week on his show ‘Watch What Happens Live’ that he will welcome his first child via a surrogate “in around six weeks time”, and a source close to him has now claimed he’s “ready” to be a father.
The source said: “Most of his close friends and staff at ‘WWHL’ had known for a few weeks now, but he kept the secret from the wider group – including some Bravo executives there and the Housewives who were on his show. ”
“A smaller group went out to celebrate. [Andy] was telling people that he was ‘relieved’ the news was finally out there and just kept reiterating how excited he was for the future.”
“[He said] ‘I can’t wait to meet my kid.’ He’s always had that urge to be a father, and felt like this was the right time. His parents are of a certain age, and he wants them to know his child. He said, ‘I know I’m single, but I haven’t met anyone and I want a family. I’m ready to do this.'”
The insider believes Andy will be an “amazing dad” to his tot, and said he was “over the moon” to have announced the news on his show.
Speaking to People magazine, the source added: “I’ve never seen him smile like that. He was so, so happy. Everyone was showering him with congratulations and praise.
“When he was originally speaking, we thought he was resigning from the show, so we all were just so surprised and happy.
“He’s going to be an amazing dad. He’s so filled with love. He’s going to give this child a wonderful life.”
Andy made his announcement at the end of his final ‘Watch What Happens Live’ show of 2018 on Thursday (20.12.18).
He said: “I am grateful to be able to live my dream every day and grateful to you for coming along for the ride.
“I don’t take any of it for granted and throughout it I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible.
“I overshare and I expect everyone around me to do the same.
“Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers, and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father.
“Thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future.”

Kim Kardashian West is careful about posting her kids on social media

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is always careful about how much she posts about her children on social media.
The 38-year-old reality star has North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 11 months, with her husband Kanye West, but has said that whilst she does feel “comfortable” posting pictures and videos of her brood online, she does feel the need to “pull back a little bit” sometimes.
Asked if she’s ever worried about her children being on social media, Kim said: “Yeah, absolutely. There’s times where I’m comfortable to post, and then times when I pull back a little bit. There’s certain things that I … even when North was doing my make-up and she was having the tantrum, I’m like ‘Do I wanna post that?’ And then I was like, oh it’s too funny I have to. But there are some things when I’m like, you know what, let’s not post that.”
But the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star thinks that it helps that her children have so many cousins – including Kourtney Kardashian’s three children Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three, as well as Khloe Kardashian’s daughter True, eight months, and Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi, 10 months – who are all in the same boat when it comes to being in the public eye, so they still “grow up so normally” together.
Kim added: “Because there’s so many cousins, I do feel like they have this sense of … you know they grow up so normally and have so much fun, and I never want them to feel like things are for social media or anything like that. We definitely have the conversation about it.”
However, the eldest Kardashian child, eight-year-old Mason – whom Kourtney Kardashian has with her ex-partner Scott Disick – is starting to learn about the world of social media as his friends at school all have Instagram accounts.
Speaking to Busy Philipps on her ‘Busy Tonight’ show, Kim said: “He’s eight, but his friends at school will come and tell him everything. Because he doesn’t have a phone or an Instagram or anything like that, but his friends at school will and they’ll say something like ‘Oh, did you see this?’ or ‘Did you see that?’ And we’ve had to have talks like ‘You know he actually doesn’t know that kind of stuff that’s in the media’. So he is at the age where he’s gonna start knowing things.”

Drew Barrymore’s tough workouts helped her shed 25 lbs. in 3 months

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore has shed 25 lbs. in three months thanks to “so much work”.
The 43-year-old actress – who is mother to Olivia, six, and Frankie, four, whom she has with her estranged husband Will Kopelman – took to Instagram on Friday (21.12.18) to share before and after photos of herself as she admitted that although her weight loss journey has been “hard as f**k”, she knows it’s all been worth it.
She captioned her Instagram snaps: “#TheWayItLooksToUs: WELLNESS … @marniealton
“When I look at Instagram, I am made to think I should be at my best self
But most days, I lack consistency due to real life.
“Solution: with the right people (@marniealton) we can make our goals a reality…
“Here is me in a before pose and then 25 pounds later in the same place.
“You can tell my face is so much thinner! This takes me so much work. Diet and exercise and fighting like a lion for it! Damn you genetics! And yet thank you for all the good stuff. I love where I come from (JOHN ETHEL LIONEL) and whatever package it comes in. I just know that I have the control to be what I want. Even if it is hard AF!
“At least I know there are experts I can turn to for help. I mean look at what Marnie helped me do in three months! When i have time off in 2019…I’m comin for ya! PS may I just say I want to be these ladies on the front page. You are my spirit animals and my goal posts! (sic)”
For the ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ star, the difficult weight loss isn’t the only thing she’s found challenging lately, as she recently took to social media to explain that co-parenting with her former spouse – whom she split with in 2016 after almost four years of marriage – isn’t always easy.
She wrote: “Will and I continue to marvel at what we made and try to be the best co parents we can be. It’s not always easy and the point is…nothing in life is. But it doesn’t mean that any bitter outweighs the sweet! (sic).”
