Bev Callard drops Charlie Lawson and Nicholas Cochrane hint

OHMYGOSSIP — Bev Callard has urged Lorraine Kelly to “bully” ‘Coronation Street’ bosses into bringing Charlie Lawson and Nicholas Cochrane back to the cobbles.
The 61-year-old actress – who plays Liz McDonald on the ITV soap – would love to see Charlie, who plays her ex-husband Jim McDonald, and Nicholas, who portrayed the pair’s son Andy McDonald, head back to Weatherfield to complete their family alongside Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “Listen, you’ve got to bully the producer and the writers. I would love Charlie to come back and I know he would love to, too.
“But we so want Nick, who played Andy, to come back as well. We’d love the four of us to all be together again.”
Show host Lorraine added: “That would be fantastic, let’s campaign for that.”
Bev is also keen for the storyliners to pen a plot which would see Liz and her nemesis Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) join forces to wreak revenge on Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) after he slept with Liz behind his wife’s back.
She said: “I so didn’t want Liz to sleep with a married man. But I think Johnny is more to blame than anyone.
“I think Liz and Jenny should get together and get their revenge on Johnny. This is strong women we’re talking about, it’s all his fault.”
But when Bev isn’t on the cobbles she is rehearsing for her role as the Narrator in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, which she will star in from next week.
She added: “Next week I’m in Weatherfield and I’m in Transylvania in the evening.
“I think they [the ‘Corrie’ cast] are all going to come along on different days, so that’s nervewracking, too.”

Rami Malek doesn’t rule out ‘dream’ Bond villain role

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek admitted being a ‘James Bond’ villain would be a “dream role”.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ actor has been linked to taking on a very different part in ‘Bond 25’ – which could be Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 – and he didn’t rule out the possibility of joining the cast.
While he admitted he would “absolutely” say yes if he was asked, he coyly told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We’ll have to see about that.
“It would be nice to play a villain, that would be an actor’s dream, another dream role for me. I’ve got to play so many great ones so far and who knows. I’m keeping tight-lipped.”
Meanwhile, ‘Bodyguard’ actor Richard Madden has said it is “flattering” to be tipped to take over as the suave spy when Craig steps down from the franchise.
He recently said: “Look, it’s very flattering to be involved in that conversation. There are some films to be made, so who what will happen in the future.”
His comments come after Ben Whishaw claimed he hasn’t been told whether or not he’ll be reviving his role as iconic gadget expert Q in the next instalment of the blockbuster film series.
He admitted: “I’m not even sure if I’ll be in it. I’m assuming that I’m not going to be so it will be a nice surprise if they put me in.
“I think it’s right [director Cary Fukanaga] and Daniel need to just figure it out. I’ve done two; I’ve had a good run.”
Though he claims to be be in the dark about his future, the movie’s helmer previously suggested Whishaw would return along with fellow British co-stars Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes, and Lea Seydoux.
Lea, 33, portrayed Bond girl Dr Madeleine Swann in 2015 movie ‘Spectre’, and she looks set to reprise her role after support from Craig – who is to play the suave spy for a fifth time in the forthcoming film – and the filmmaker.
Fukanaga – who will be helming his first Bond movie – said: “Lea will be returning.”
And speaking about the British trio, the director added: “You have some of the best actors in the world here. Why wouldn’t I have the best coming back?”

Kevin Feige backs James Gunn for Suicide Squad 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvel boss Kevin Feige has backed James Gunn to be a success for DC.
It’s said that the former ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director – who was fired by Disney over controversial past tweets – will step behind the camera for the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel, and the Marvel Studios president had nothing but kind words.
He told MTV News: “I went to see ‘Aquaman’ last night, and I really, really enjoyed it.
“I don’t see a rivalry, I just see cool films being made. One thing you know about James Gunn, he makes cool films.”
Meanwhile, Feige also gave an update on the future of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’, which he previously announced had been put “on hold” last year after Gunn’s exit.
He added: “‘Guardians’ will happen. When, where, how? For a later time.”
The cast of the franchise has supported the filmmaker, with Dave Bautista being very vocal about his thoughts as he revealed he would follow him into the DC Extended Universe after reports about the directer joining the team for ‘Suicide Squad 2’.
He simply tweeted: “Where do I sign up! (sic)”
The filmmaker is said to be in line to jump ship from Marvel to DC and take on a big role behind the camera.
Bautista has repeatedly insisted he wouldn’t want to return to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film series if James’ script wasn’t used for the upcoming sequel.
The wrestler-turned-actor – who plays Drax the Destroyer in the movie franchise – insisted he won’t do another film for the studio unless they agree to use the director’s work.
He said: “James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met. He’s already turned the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract – cut me out or recast me because I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.”

Brendon Urie has High Hopes for his own musical

OHMYGOSSIP — Brendon Urie is in talks to write his own musical.
The Panic! At The Disco frontman has revealed he’s held discussions with directors to produce a musical for the stage and big screen, and is even considering basing it on his own experiences of growing up in Las Vegas, with the dream of the production showing on Broadway.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’ve been talking to a couple of movie directors about film music ideas and about doing musical theatre, Broadway maybe.
“The ideal would be to write music for an idea somebody else has come up with.”
He added: “I talked about doing my origin story, growing up in Vegas, so we will see what happens.”
The ‘High Hopes’ hitmaker has a wealth of experience in the theatre department, after starring in the leading role in Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Kinky Boots’ musical in New York.
The ‘Time to Dance’ singer also recently revealed he’s hoping to smash the West End one day.
However, he wants to conquer London’s’ theatre world speaking in his native American tongue.
He said: “I would love to do the West End, but only if I play an American, I wouldn’t want to butcher their language in front of them.”
The 31-year-old singer has set his sights on leading parts in ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Book of Mormon’.
He said: “Oh, only some of the biggest roles in musical history: The dream is to play Jean Valjean in ‘Les Miserables’ or to be Elder Price in ‘Book of Mormon.'”
Brendon’s time in ‘Kinky Boots’ was “the most exhausted” he’s ever been, and even more “gruelling” than touring with his bandmates.
He admitted: “Broadway is a different beast entirely to being in a band. It is the most gruelling schedule. It’s the most exhausted I had ever been.
“I also didn’t plan ahead enough. We had just done a two-and-a-half month tour and I was like, ‘Screw it, I am going right in to Broadway’. But it was cool – I’d never take it back.”
Meanwhile, Brendon recently revealed he was offered a song from ‘The Greatest Showman’ soundtrack for his band.
Benji Pasek and Justin Paul, the Oscar-nominated scorers behind the soundtrack for the blockbuster musical film, sent him the song ‘The Greatest Show’ to see if he’d like to use it.
Though he didn’t end up recording the hit because it just “didn’t make sense”, he has been inspired by the success of the Hugh Jackman-starring film, and he went onto to record the cover version of ‘The Greatest Show’ for the album ‘The Greatest Showman – Reimagined’.

Ariana Grande applauds Halsey for dethroning thank u, next

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has congratulated Halsey on knocking her off the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100.
The 25-year-old pop star was delighted that a fellow female had reached number one on the US chart, despite it meaning her hit song ‘thank u, next’ has been replaced by Halsey’s ‘Without Me’.
Sharing a screenshot of the article announcing the chart news on Instagram, Ariana wrote: “F*** it up @iamhalsey. To girls on top all 2019.”
And her 24-year-old peer, replied: “Luv u bb. Dynamic women who are headstrong + compassionate all 2019 (sic).”
The ‘Now or Never’ hitmaker admitted she was feeling “overwhelmed” with the news and is “very happy” as the song was about a “very lonely” time in her life, whilst she admitted the support for the track has made her feel the “most loved”.
Commenting on her chart feat, Halsey wrote alongside a photo of the top 10 on her profile: “#1 on billboard. wow. very overwhelmed and confused and so very very very VERY happy. this song came from a very lonely place, and brought me to one of the most loved and supported moments of my lifetime.
“This achievement is completely beyond my means of comprehending right now so I’ll get back to you guys when I find more eloquent and compelling things to say. Right now my brain is a washing machine of emotion. On a very high cycle. I love you very much. (sic)”
The ‘Closer’ hitmaker also said she was feeling a bit “confused” by the news and that she is going to “express herself” properly once it has sunk in.
She wrote on Twitter: “i really need a sec to collect myself so i can properly express my gratitude…i’m so confused? and happy? thank you. (sic)”

Fay Ripley turned down Simon Cowell record deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Fay Ripley feels like “an idiot” for turning down a record contract with Simon Cowell.
The 52-year-old actress – who portrays Jenny Gifford in ‘Cold Feet’ – says one of her biggest regrets in life is rejecting a deal with the 59-year-old music mogul’s company after her vocal talents were spotted while she was portraying a singer on TV show ‘I Saw You’.
Fay told Radio Times magazine: “I don’t think there’s anything I regret, although I did turn down a record contract once with Simon Cowell’s record company. What an idiot!
“They’d seen me play a singer in a thing called ‘I Saw You’ and wanted me to make an album.
“I didn’t want to be like Robson and Jerome and I’m not that good a singer so I said no. But what I wouldn’t do now to have a little singalong.
“If I could go back to my younger self, I’d say yes to that [the record contract] and I’d say, ‘Stop thinking you’re fat, because when you’re 50 you’ll really know what fat is.’
“I spent a stupid amount of time thinking I was overweight, but now I’d eat my own leg off for that body. What a waste of energy that was.”
Despite having career regrets, the actress – who took a break from the hit ITV comedy drama in 2001 so that she could marry actor Daniel Lapaine, with whom she has a daughter Parker, 15, and son Sonny, 11 – considers acting on the show to be a “privilege.”
She said: “‘Cold Feet’ did change my life, but I think it’s even more of a privilege to do it now. It’s quite easy to take life for granted in your 30s.
“I actually left ‘Cold Feet’ because I wanted to get married and have a baby and there were other jobs I was excited by. I wouldn’t make that decision now.”

Jamie Oliver ‘felt sad’ for ‘too long’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver found juggling his business empire left him feeling “sad for a bit too long”.
The 43-year-old chef – who has children Poppy, 16, Daisy, 15, Petal, nine, Buddy, eight, and River, two, with wife Jools – admitted juggling his various interests became too much and he was left feeling run down as he was surviving on just two or three hours sleep a night.
He said: “I think I’m generally known for being very optimistic, bubbly and definitely glass half full.
“But one day I felt sad. And for a bit too long. It wasn’t depression but I was a bit stupid. I wasn’t sleeping much.
“I’d get home, see my wife Jools, cook a dinner. Then she would fall asleep because she’s a mum, but I’m wired.
“The phone is pinging. Ping ping. I was going to bed at 1am consistently and getting up at 4am or 5am. It caught up with me.”
The ‘Friday Night Feast’ star knew things had to change and now makes sure he gets to bed by 10pm, in a cold room and wearing an eye mask to block out light.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I was studying nutrition and I realised the most powerful exercise in the gym is sleep. And the most powerful part of nutrition is sleep. Everything comes back to sleep.”
“[Now] I’m like a baby, I have to set an alarm to go to bed. I’m 43 years old and I’ve got to put myself to bed. But I changed my habits and the difference is amazing.”
In 2017, Jamie injected £13 million of his own money to save his Jamie’s Italian chain – which still saw 12 out of 37 branches close – and months later, his Barbecoa restaurants went into administration, he closed down his Union Jacks eateries and stopped publishing his Jamie food magazine.
And the chef admitted it was the lowest point in his life.
He said: “It was definitely the worst time in my life.”
But the star remains positive and credits his wife for all the “good” things in his life.
He gushed: “She’s my best mate. There nothing good I’ve ever done that hasn’t come from how we are as a unit.”
Jools has admitted she’s keen to have another child but Jamie thinks their brood is “enough” – though he won’t completely rule out expanding their family again.
He said: “I’m going to try to control that one . . . but I have to try to control myself, which I’m not very good at.
“I do think five is enough but everyone keeps telling me that six is a round number.”

Jenny Agutter doesn’t ‘understand’ MeToo victims

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenny Agutter can’t “fully understand” why actresses got into situations that led them to being sexually abused.
The 66-year-old actress doesn’t think women should meet with male industry figures alone unless they “found the person very attractive” because the implication behind the private meetings should be obvious.
She said: “In the States, there were occasions when you might be asked to go to a private screening or someone’s place and you just didn’t do it – unless you found the person very attractive, in which case you did do it.
“But if they’re not really attractive, there’s nothing to be gained from it, because it’s obvious what you’re indicating by going.”
And the ‘Call the Midwife’ actress insisted she would never have been in such an uncomfortable situation herself because if she found herself in that position, she would be “back out of the door rather fast”.
She added: “Because there isn’t any part that’s worth that – and I think there’s an arrogance in me a little bit as well, which is, ‘If you’re not casting me because I’m right for the part, then why are we in this situation?’ ”
However, the ‘Railway Children’ star insisted the situations highlighted by the #MeToo movement are “wrong” and no one should abuse their power in that way.
She added to Radio Times magazine: “It’s terrible that anyone would use their power in that way. That’s wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong – no question about it.
“What is sad is to be in a situation where you have to negotiate it: you shouldn’t have to do that. I was very lucky never to have to.”
Jenny relocated to Los Angeles in her 20s in a bid to further her career but she always felt “a little bit protected” because she was in a relationship with a producer at the time.
She said: “No one was going to hit on me, with him there! It was a bit like having the Mafia around you.”

Jake Quickenden tries Vogue Williams’ breast milk on E4 show

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden tried Vogue Williams’ breast milk while helping Spencer Matthews babysit their son Theodore.
The 30-year-old singer – who has been friends with the 33-year-old beauty and the former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star since they met on Channel 4 reality show ‘The Jump’ in 2017 – was disgusted when he had a taste of her milk on the couple’s E4 show ‘Spencer, Vogue and Baby Too’, admitting it was “awful”.
Spencer told him to try it on his hand, but Jake replied: “But this is out of Vogue isn’t it? It smells weird.
“Have you tried it? What did you think?”
Spencer admitted: “I wasn’t particularly impressed with it to be honest.”
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant tried it anyway, but quickly stuck his tongue out before wiping it.
He said: “That’s awful.”
Jake then turned to baby Theodore and said: “You poor little thing, do you want a Hobnob?”
The comical segment comes as the first episode of the parents’ show was aired on Monday (07.01.19), on which they openly discussed everything from their sex life to dilation.
Spencer and Jake were left looking after four-month-old baby Theodore while Vogue enjoyed a night out after leaving behind a bottle of milk for her son.
The ‘Can’t Stand the Rain’ singer finished as runner-up in the 14th series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2014, but breast milk wasn’t on the menu ahead of his time in the jungle.
After landing in Australia he managed to escape from his holding hotel for secret pub trips before he took part in the show.
He recently said: “You’re supposed to be in lockdown, but it depends who you get looking after you. I was in the pub most of the time.
“I could sneak out of my room, I did alright.”

Eamonn Holmes convinced Saira Khan to do Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes convinced Saira Khan to take part in ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The ‘Do The Right Thing’ host talked the ‘Loose Women’ panellist into appearing on the ice skating series, after she told him she was keen to strut her stuff on the programme but “didn’t have time”, which sparked memories of a similar conversation he had with his wife Ruth Langsford ahead of her agreeing to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
He told new TV podcast Series Linked: “Well, Saira’s story is very similar to Ruth’s. Ruth’s was on ‘Strictly’, and basically the problem was, cut a long story short, when Ruth was asked to do ‘Strictly’, she came to me and said, ‘I’ve been asked to this. And da da da da. It’s always been my dream, but I can’t do it.’
“And I looked her and she said, ‘I’m far too busy.’ I just raised my eyebrows. She said, ‘What? What?’ And I said, ‘Well it obviously wasn’t your dream, don’t tell me it was your dream. Because if it was your dream, you would do it.’
“She didn’t take that too well, she slammed the door, disappeared.
“Came back a few hours later, and said to me, ‘Right, I’m going to do it. But not because of what you said.’
“I harboured that guilt all through that, because she was doing ‘Loose Women’, ‘This Morning’. She’d launched a fashion range in QVC.
“She was involved in tons of planning meetings and publicity things for all of that. There was some other program which I can’t remember, but there were five things on the go for her.
“And finding practice time was practically impossible. And really it took it out of her, and it was a big strain on us.
“Saira is in exactly the same position. But I said to Saira when she said to me, ‘Should I do this?’ I said to her … she said, ‘I haven’t got time.’
“I said, ‘Look, that’s what Ruth said. But the thing is, Saira, you might not be asked again.’ Ruth might not have been asked again.”
Eamonn firmly believes people blessed with a particular talent or a dream should strive to achieve their goals because they have a “moral duty” to do so.
He said: “If it was your dream, I’m always this person, I went to school, what they said to us was, ‘If you have got a gift, if you’re good with animals, be a vet. If you’re good with figures, be an accountant.’
“Whatever it is. And from a religious point of view they said, ‘God has given you a gift, it is your moral duty to use it.’
“And I always believed that, and I always think what a shame that somebody has a gift and they say, ‘Well I could have been a golfer, a footballer, but, but.’
“But what? I was very, very lucky that as a TV presenter at 19 I was given the opportunity to do what I wanted to do from the age of 11.”
And the ‘This Morning’ co-host – who presents the show alongside Ruth on Fridays – believes ‘Dancing on Ice’ fans will identity with former ‘Apprentice’ star Saira’s journey.
He added: “I just believe go for it, go for it. And Saira has a lot of things to fit in, but maybe she’s got a journey there that the public would identify with.”

Charlotte Tilbury inspired by ‘old Hollywood glamour’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Tilbury is inspired by “old Hollywood glamour” when doing red carpet make-up.
The 45-year-old beauty mogul is a celebrity favourite to create stunning looks for A-list events, and the creative director has revealed she’s inspired by “images and films from the 1920s to the 1950s” and is “obsessed” with how skin appeared in vintage photography.
Writing for the publication, the Vogue contributing editor said: “I’ve always loved old Hollywood glamour, so when I’m doing red-carpet make-up, images and films from the 1920s to the 1950s and beyond are my inspiration.
“I’m obsessed by how skin used to appear in black-and-white photography and under HMI film-studio lights: blurred, soft-focus, dreamy, luminous.”
But although Charlotte loves classic glamour and black and white photography, she admits that the current fashion world is more “unforgiving” and “the digital age of high definition” and has made adapt her make-up looks accordingly.
She explained: “Now that we’re in the digital age of high definition when my starlets walk the red carpet, their journey begins in daylight — and ends in HD.
“It’s so unforgiving. It’s a megapixel, mega-pore, mega-nightmare situation, and shows things you can’t even see with the naked eye.
“So, whenever I’m approaching a modern red-carpet face, there are a few things that remain constant in my approach.
“The first port of call is always a glowy base with a flawless filter effect. Then comes contouring, which is simple Hollywood make-up 101: shading the cheeks, jaw, temples, eyes, and nose has become a thing now, and all the celebrities want it.
“Precision highlighting and powdering will give you the amazing facial structure of a big-screen star. But this season, what I’m doing differently is bringing a certain freshness to classic Hollywood make-up by using washes of finely milled shimmer or a chiffony veil of oyster and champagne tones on the eyes, rather than going for a deep-set, dark, smoky eye. ”

Dita Von Teese to join cast of Jean Paul Gaultier’s show

OHMYGOSSIP — Dita Von Teese is to join the cast of Jean Paul Gaultier’s ‘Fashion Freak Show’.
The 46-year-old burlesque dancer will hit the stage for seven performances of the iconic couturier’s shows at the Folies Bergere cabaret in Paris from January 22 and the French designer has revealed it’s an “honour” to work with the model because she epitomises his brand as she is so “glamorous” and “chic”.
Speaking to WWD, Gaultier, 66, said: “Dita Von Teese is the most Parisian of all Americans. I have every admiration for her as she has raised burlesque to the rank of a chic, glamorous and popular art. It is an honour to welcome her to the ‘Fashion Freak Show.'”
The pin-up beauty has previously walked in some of the French fashion house’s couture shows and confessed that it’s a “dream” to star in his all-singing and all-dancing cabaret show, because he has always “celebrated diversity” on his catwalks.
In a statement, she said: “It’s an absolute dream to be a part of Jean Paul Gaultier’s show at the Folies Bergère. Mr. Gaultier has always celebrated diversity on his runways in a genuine and authentic way. His celebratory show captures the essence of who he is as a creator of distinctive and rare beauty.”
The fashionista’s stage show opened last year and tells the story of Gaultier’s life.
The performances were meant to come to an end in March, but have proved so popular, their run has been extended until April 21.
Dita already appears in the show via a video cameo alongside Beth Ditto, Anna Cleveland, Josephine Baker, Catherine Deneuve and Farida Khelfa.

Christian Bale congratulated by Church of Satan

OHMYGOSSIP — The Church of Satan have congratulated Christian Bale on his Golden Globe win.
The occult organisation praised the 44-year-old actor for achieving his “highest personal potential” in response to his acceptance speech when he picked up the Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award on Sunday (06.01.19) and joked Satan had influenced his portrayal of former US Vice President Dick Cheney in ‘Vice’.
The Church tweeted: “To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. As Mr. Bale’s own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting. Hail Christian! Hail Satan!”
In his speech, Christian thanked his “geezer” director Adam McKay for casting him in the film and said: “[McKay] said, ‘I’ve got to be somebody who can be absolutely charisma-free and reviled by everybody’. So he went, ‘Oh, that’s got to be Bale.
“To the competition, I will be cornering the market on charisma-free assholes. What do you think, Mitch McConnell next? That would be good, wouldn’t it?
“Thank you to Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play this role.”
And Christian – who gained 40lbs, shaved his head and bleached his eyebrows for the movie – also paid tribute to his wife Sibi Blazic, and thanked her for her advice when it came to writing his speech.
He said: “Thank you to my beautiful wife, who told me, ‘Less is more.’
“She knows the dumb c**p that can come out of my life sometimes. I can sink and ruin a perfectly good movie and a so-so career in one speech, so thank you for that advice, my love. I wouldn’t be working without her.”

Robbie Williams using colouring to help quit smoking

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has swapped cigarettes for crayons.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker is determined to quit his nicotine habit and has found colouring in pre-drawn pictures is helping to relieve his cravings because it gives him something to focus on other than how much he’s missing smoking.
Speaking in an Instagram Live video, he said: “I’m just doing some colouring in, which is good because I’ve got something to concentrate on.
“Art is good for my mind.”
Robbie – who has children Teddy, six, Charlton, four, and Coco, four months, with wife Ayda Field – is finding quitting the deadly habit very difficult and has been experiencing panic attacks as a result.
He added: “Anyone who is giving up smoking with me, keep on. The struggle is real. I’ve been all right all week, it’s been sort of six out of ten difficult and then in the last hour and a half I’ve just collapsed, panic attacks, over- whelmed . . . I’ve had to get out of the house just to calm down a little.”
The 44-year-old pop star initially gave up smoking when Teddy was born but returned to his 40-a-day habit in 2016.
However, last year, the ‘X Factor’ judge pledged to making quitting for good his New Year’s resolution because he wants to be around when his children grows up, though he’s worried about the side effects of giving up.
He said: “On January 1 I’m going to stop smoking, does anyone want to join me?
“But I’m really scared about putting weight on. I’m terrified in fact about that, but staying alive for my children will be worth the weight gain . . . he said, lying to himself.”

Sue Nicholls rescues stranger’s shopping experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Nicholls rescued a hapless shopper after he was left without £1 to put into his supermarket trolley.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who has played Audrey Roberts since 1979 – went from Weatherfield wonder woman to real-life legend when she saved a stranger’s Sainsbury’s shopping experience on the weekend, by producing a precious £1 coin for him to pop into one of the store’s wheeled carriages so he could transport his goods.
After feeling down on his luck when he checked his pockets only to realise he hadn’t brought a pound to trigger the trolley’s release, the man, who goes by the name Taz on social media site Twitter, couldn’t quite believe it when he turned around to see supportive Sue brandishing a shiny £1 for him to use.
He tweeted: “The only time that I don’t have a £1 coin to use for the trolleys at Sainsbury’s and all people to ask is, flaming Audrey Roberts from Coronation Street (sic)”
Thankful Taz also shared a selfie alongside smiley Sue, who had a huge grin on her face, appearing delighted to have helped a guy in need.
While Sue had an additional £1 to give the guy, her alter-ego Audrey is in a state of financial distress over on the cobbles after the hair salon owner recently had her £80,000 savings shockingly stolen.
Despite her latest financial failure, Audrey can rest easy in the knowledge that she will not require any pound coins for trolleys if she does her shopping at local Weatherfield newsagents The Kabin, owned by Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden), who acquired the shop from Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) in 2009.
Audrey once played a huge part in ensuring Rita kept hold of the corner shop after her fellow cobbles stalwart decided to sell up after being blackmailed by Cilla Battersby-Brown (Wendi Peters).
Rita was all set to offload the store in 2004, but her good pal Audrey convinced her to keep hold of the business.

The 50-year-old actor is married to Naomie Harris, who worked as a make-up artist in the fantasy franchise based on the novels by J. R. R. Tolkein – which follows hobbit Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) on his quest to destroy the powerfully dark, One Ring.
However, Eddie revealed that his wife’s special effects work with Bloom – who played a Sindarin Elf named Legolas in the trilogy — means he has a lot of the star’s pointed ears in his “loft”.
Speaking to the Metro about what creatures his wife worked on, Eddie said: “She was doing Orlando Bloom a lot. I used to have thousands of Orlando Bloom’s ears in my loft.
“That should be the title of my autobiography: ‘I’ve got Orlando Bloom’s Ears In The Loft.’ ”
Meanwhile, the British star plays Vihaan in the Andy Serkis directed Disney live-action reboot, ‘Mowgli’, and confessed that he had to act like a wolf for the CGI effects which was like “going back to drama school”.
Eddie added: “They put a camera on your head and it monitors all your face and body movements, and then you act with everybody else. After that they combine it with CGI. Naomie Harris and I played the husband-and-wife wolves bringing up Mowgli.
“So we were acting in a room together with Peter Mullan, Tom Hollander, Benedict Cumberbatch [who plays Shere Khan, the tiger], Andy [Serkis, the director, who also plays Baloo, the bear] and Christian Bale [Bagheera, the panther], all of us crawling around making animal movements in out T-shirts and tracksuits. It was like going back to drama school, really. I’m surprised someone didn’t ask me to be a tree.”
