Jodie Comer trying to ‘accept’ her looks

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Comer is trying to “accept” the way she looks.
The ‘Killing Eve’ star has said she’s “always struggled” with her appearance since she was a teenager, and admits that being an actress had made her insecurities worse because she knows she sometimes gets refused a role because of the way she looks.
But to cope with her hang-ups, Jodie says she’s doing her best to not put “stress” on herself to change her appearance, because she knows she’s “worth so much more” than just her beauty.
Speaking to Phoebe Waller-Bridge for ELLE UK’s ‘Modern Love’ issue – which is on sale from April 4 – Jodie said: “A big thing is trying to accept that, with acting, the reason for getting a part or not getting part isn’t always about your talent or how talented people think you are; a lot of it is about your looks. Always worrying about the way you look or your weight for certain roles – that has always been a big insecurity of mine.
“Growing up as a teen, I always struggled with my weight and body image. What I’m trying to do – and I feel like I’m succeeding a little bit in – is to be accepting of the fact that… I always put a stress on myself having to look a certain way, when you are who you are. Your ability to act, or whatever your job is, is worth so much more than how you look.”
And fellow actress Phoebe also spoke about her own insecurities, as she said that focusing on doing things she loves helps to make her body hang-ups “fall away”.
She said: “I feel like when I’m on set working with people I love, with my head in the work, all those things fall away. I stop caring about any of that shit. When women are given the chance to really work or really have a character that does deeper than skin deep, then it suddenly all disappears.”

Kevin Hart ‘changed’ after tweet controversy

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart wanted to apologise by “changing” following his homophobic tweet controversy.
The 39-year-old actor stepped down as the host of the Oscars when historic homophobic tweets he had written were resurfaced, and some members of the LGBT community were left angry when he didn’t apologise immediately for his comments.
But Kevin – who has since apologised twice – says he didn’t physically say the word “sorry” at first because he believed the “best way to say sorry” was through “never doing it again”.
When asked if he regretted how he handled the situation, the ‘Night School’ actor said: “The way that I handled it in the beginning was never from a place where I’m being negative or angry or playing victim. It was, ‘Hey, guys, I apologised about this. I talked about this years ago and I said I’ll never do it again.’ To me, that was the apology. The apology was never doing it again.
“So I didn’t understand why that wasn’t good [enough]. Why isn’t the 10-year change of a guy never talking like this, never doing it again through stand-up or jokes, being noticed? I thought the best way to say sorry is by changing, whereas some people still wanted to just hear me say it again. And that’s where I think the miscommunication or the disconnect came from.”
And Kevin insists he spoke to several people within the LGBT community to understand how he should make amends, and hopes people now know he doesn’t have “any ill will toward anybody”.
Speaking to USA Today, he said: “It was about making sure people are aware that you’re remorseful for your past and the things that you’ve done. And the best way to overcome those wrongdoings is to proceed with change.
“So I had several conversations with good friends of mine that are part of the LGBT community, and listened and heard the point of view that was very important, which was, ‘Hey, Kevin, we just want to know that you don’t feel the way you felt then. We wanted to hear you say that.’
“I thought that me putting my change on display and never going back to that was the best way to do that. And if the verbal [apology] would have been better, then I can understand that. But at the time, I didn’t grasp that concept of just wanting to hear that again.
“Hopefully the people of the LGBTQ community know that I in no way, shape or form embrace any ill will toward anybody in general. It’s not who I am.”

Kim Kardashian West considered naming unborn son after brother Rob

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West was considering naming her son after her brother Rob Kardashian.
The 38-year-old reality star is due to welcome her fourth child with husband Kanye West, and second via surrogate mother, “in a few weeks” time, and has revealed her process for picking a suitable moniker for her children is to do a “family survey” after they have been born.
Appearing on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, Kim said: “I definitely take a family survey.
“But it’s usually after the baby’s born or we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like.
“I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star – who already has North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 14 months, with rapper Kanye – liked the idea of naming her son after her 32-year-old sibling, but isn’t sure it goes with the rest of her brood’s names.
She added: “I was truthfully thinking about just naming him Rob. My brother.
“But then it’s kind of like North, Saint, Chicago, Rob. But I really was feeling that.”
Kourtney also revealed that she waited a week before naming her four-year-old son Reign, who she was considering calling Preston, and would try out different names each day to see which suited him better.
The 39-year-old star – who also has Mason, nine, and Penelope, six, with ex-partner Scott Disick – said: “I did a week the last time.
“I would try out a different name on different days
“One day Reign, his name was Preston for one full day.
“I was like, I know in my soul his name is Reign.
“And Scott didn’t believe me.
“And I was like, ‘No. I know his name is Reign.’ And he’s like, ‘His name is Preston.
“So I was like fine, let’s call him Preston for a day. And it didn’t work out.”
Meanwhile, Kim recently said she was “frantically trying” to get the nursery ready for her fourth tot.
She said: “I’m frantically trying to get the room ready. It’s madness, but the best madness.”
And there could be many more frantic days to come as Kim previously revealed that ‘Heartless’ hitmaker Kanye wants “seven” children.
She said: “Kanye wants to have more, though. He’s been harassing me. He wants like seven. He’s like stuck in seven … [Seven kids is] crazy. I could never, especially in like the world we live in … I’ve been kinda hesitant about having more kinds because it literally keeps me up at night, thinking about how my kids will survive in a crazy world like this.”
But even with a fourth child on the way, Kim says she’s “freaking out”.
The beauty said: “I’m low-key freaking out. I didn’t think it was going to happen. I thought like, ‘Oh, it probably won’t even take.'”

Billie Lourd pays tribute to Debbie Reynolds

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Lourd has paid tribute to her late grandmother Debbie Reynolds on what would have been her 87th birthday.
The ‘Singing In The Rain’ star tragically died just days after her daughter – and Billie’s mother – Carrie Fisher in December 2016, and to mark what would have been her birthday on Monday (01.04.19), the 26-year-old actress took to Instagram to post a sweet tribute.
Billie posted a picture of herself as a child with her mother and grandmother, and wrote the caption in the signature all-emoji style that ‘Star Wars’ star Carrie used to use, and which Billie has adopted for many of her posts since her mother’s passing.
The caption read: “Happy birthday abadaba,” which is a nickname Billie had for her grandmother.
Meanwhile, the ‘Booksmart’ actress opened up in 2017 about the struggles of coping with the tragic loss of her family members, which she said were “impossible to deal with”.
She said at the time: “It’s completely surreal. There’s no way to really explain it – it’s so hard to talk about. If I say I’m doing good, I’m too happy. If I say I’m not doing good, then I’m a mess. So it’s really hard to know what to say about it because it’s so surreal and impossible to deal with.”
And Billie later admitted her mother’s sense of humour had helped her get through the tough time that followed her passing.
She said: “If life’s not funny, then it’s just true – and that would be unacceptable. Even when she died, that was what got me through that whole thing. When Debbie died the next day, I could just picture her saying, ‘Well, she’s upstaging me once again, of course – she had to.’ ”

Kevin Hart wants one more child

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart is going to have “one more” child.
The 39-year-old actor and comedian already has Heaven, 14, and Hendrix, 11, with his ex-wife Torrei Hart, as well as 16-month-old son Kenzo with his wife Eniko Parrish, but he’s said he and Eniko are planning on having one more child to complete their family before “throwing in the towel”.
He said: “We’re going to do one more and then we’re going to throw in the towel after thatOne more is enough – that’s a loud house. We have a loud one already between the kids and the dogs. So I think adding one more will really complete the Hart family circle and we’ll be done there. That’s it.”
And the ‘Night School’ star could see his wife fall pregnant as early as this summer, as that’s when they want to start trying.
He added: “We’re probably going to start trying over the summer. Kenzo is 16 months now, so I feel that’s the perfect gap. That’s almost a two-year window in between, and he’ll be walking, talking a little bit. I’ll take some time off and be around a little more, so we’re trying to plan it out strategically.”
Kevin’s older kids are at an age where they understand what their dad does for a living, and the ‘Upside’ actor says his daughter Heaven has her sights set on following in his footsteps.
Speaking to USA Today, he said: “They understand what their dad does for a living and they both love comedy. My daughter wants to actually follow in my footsteps and be a comedic actress. She’s looking forward to that time when she’s out of school and done being a kid, where she can embrace it. And my son loves to laugh. They both have watched me sneakily several times while coming and hanging out on tour, which is very funny to me. But, you know, nothing’s ever malicious. It’s all in fun and it’s never hurtful.”

An insider told People magazine: “[Kim] feels unprepared, [but] as soon as the baby is born, she will feel better. She thinks it’s difficult to prepare mentally for a new baby.
“Kim and Kanye are both very excited. Chicago grew so quickly, so they are happy about having one last baby in the house. But this is it, they both say. Four kids is the perfect number for them.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star – who already has North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 14 months, with Kanye – recently said she was “frantically trying” to get the nursery ready for her fourth tot.

Sophie Turner’s identity crisis

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner suffered from a bit of an “identity crisis” when filming wrapped on ‘Game of Thrones’.
The 23-year-old actress – who plays Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy series – admits she had to undergo therapy when she stopped playing the character as it had become such a huge part of her.
She said: “Six or seven months ago, just after Game of Thrones finished, I went through a bit of a wobble as I think everyone would when 10 years of your life is suddenly like gone and you will never be that character again,” Turner shared. “I went through a bit of an identity crisis and suddenly feeling a little bit inferior. And then, you know, therapy really helped and now I kind of own everything.”
Sophie’s fiancé Joe Jonas was on the ‘Game of Thrones’ set a lot and he found out so many show secrets that he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement to promise that he wouldn’t leak any details ahead of its eight and final season.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “Joe was on set most of the time so he kind of figured it out and he was like, ‘Can you fill me [in]?’ And, he signed an NDN, NDA [non-disclosure agreement] and everything so it’s all good.”
Meanwhile, Sophie previously admitted being in ‘Game of Thrones’ is both a “blessing and a curse”.
She said: “My standards have definitely been raised. It’s a blessing and a curse, ‘Game of Thrones being my first job and working with such incredible scripts and such incredible veteran actors, working with the best crew. It makes you a bit of a snob, I think.
“And because it was my first job, the actors on ‘Game of Thrones’ are the people I learned to act from. I learned to act watching Lena and Peter and Maisie [Williams] and Kit [Harington] and all of these different people. I put them all on such pedestals. The thought of not working with them is almost excruciating to me. They’ve been my growing up.”

Hugh Jackman’s son thinks he’s cool

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman’s son finally thinks he is “really cool”.
The 50-year-old actor has earned some serious brownie points with his son Oscar, 18, now he is appearing in stop-motion animation movie ‘Missing Link’.
He told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “My character is adventurous and goes off to find Sasquatch, the ‘Missing Link’. Zach’s hilarious. I love this project because my son, a fan, loves the stop-motion thing with the real puppets. He thinks my doing this now means I’m really cool. And – since my kids are teenagers – this is not easy to achieve.”
Meanwhile, Hugh – who also has Ava, 13, with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness – previously revealed how he became his son’s “wingman” when the teenager wanted to impress a girl.
Hugh recalled: “Once he was on the beach. He was talking to a girl, he was about 13, he was talking to a girl, who I guess to be about 15, and he started walking towards me. He came up to me and he started walking ahead of the girl, and he goes, ‘Dad, Dad, Dad, she’s coming over. I told her you’re Wolverine, just go with it.’ I was like, ‘I am the wingman for my 13-year-old boy.’ ”
And ‘The Greatest Showman’ star feels his “blessed” children have a “responsibility” to help others.
He shared: “My kids have so many advantages. And I want them to know that they have a responsibility to use those advantages to help others. My kids are constantly reminded about how lucky we are in our family. We’re ridiculously blessed. We live in a beautiful home in places that other people dream of. But in terms of the world, we’re even more blessed. One out of six people doesn’t have clean drinking water. They can’t comprehend how we live.”

The ‘Winchester’ actress hailed the late model as “generous” and said she was “never vain” despite her “beautiful bone structure and eyes”.

“However she was never vain, but a kind and generous person who used her model earnings to put her half brothers through school.
“She was a great optimist and always looked on life with positivity.”
The ‘Queen’ star has fond memories of being on the set of ‘Goldfinger’ with Tania and admitted she will be missed very much.

“My sister and I will miss her very much.”
The news of Tania’s passing came on Sunday (31.03.19), with a message on the official Bond Twitter account reading: “We are very sorry to hear that Tania Mallet who played Tilly Masterson in GOLDFINGER has passed away.

Queen Latifah to produce and feature in teen flick Paper Chase

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Latifah is set to appear in and executive produce teen comedy ‘Paper Chase’.
The 49-year-old actress-and-producer has joined forces with Shakim Compere to produce the flick via their own Flavor Unit production company along with Gunpowder & Sky’s Van Toffler.
‘Girls Trip’ star Latifah said: “Shakim and I have known Van forever and we’re thrilled to collaborate with him and his team.
“This film is exactly what we love to do, make fun and energetic projects that audiences have a blast going to see. Lauren Domino and Angela Tucker are such great talents and we can’t wait to get started.”
According to IMDB, the movie tells the story of: “Alicia, an ideal-driven, well-meaning, somewhat pretentious New Orleans high school senior ready to reinvent herself at Kensington University.
“After finding out she wasn’t awarded a $10,000 grant she was overly confident she’d receive, she must figure out another way to come up with tuition money before summer ends.”
It’s currently not known what part Latifah will take on, with no casting details available at present.
The ‘Empire’ star recently executive produced ‘The Trap’ featuring rapper T.I.
Meanwhile, a sequel to hit comedy ‘Girls Trip’ is looking likely.
Latifah’s co-star Jada Pinkett Smith said a second instalment could see the Flossy Posse head to South Africa or Rio de Janeiro.
The 2017 flick saw the pair joined by Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish as a reunited group of college friends who get up to no good on a work vacation in New Orleans.
Jada – who plays Lisa Cooper – revealed in January that they have discussed the locations for filming for the sequel, and admitted she hopes they can “work out a deal” to get the hilarious comedy back in the cinema.
She spilled: “We had such a good time.
“I really miss them. We stay in contact. We haven’t been able to all get together in a while, but I’m hoping that we’re gonna have this deal figured out so we can make a ‘Girls Trip 2’.
“I’m ready for more Flossy Posse, trust me. “I’m ready to have some fun with my girls!”
On the locations they have discussed, she said: “We talked about Rio and South Africa.”

Eva Green feared she would die on Dumbo set

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Green thought “she was going to die” on the set of ‘Dumbo’.
The 38-year-old actress plays circus performer Colette Marchant in the Disney movie, which is directed by Hollywood legend Tim Burton, and she admits she was so nervous about doing the big tricks.
She said: “I had to train with real circus people, so that was amazing because you get to train for free, with the most amazing circus performers [but] I was so scared of heights, it was a real phobia. I really panicked at the beginning, but I got over it. It’s amazing, I can’t believe I can swing. I thought I was going to die if I was going to go up there.”
And Eva learned a lot about core strength whilst she was perfecting the “difficult craft” for the film, which also stars Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito.
She added to Collider.com: “First of all, you need to strengthen your core a lot, and your arms. It’s such a difficult craft, it’s amazing, and then off you go. You have to do weird things up there; it’s great!”
Meanwhile, Eva previously confessed she surprised herself by taking on the role in the Disney film because of her fear of heights.
She explained: “I surprised myself by playing the trapeze lady. I’m so scared of heights, I didn’t know if I could do it. But wonderful circus people taught me. It’s very physical: you need strong arms and abs …
“The circus people were very patient, very kind with me, I was absolutely petrified. I thought I would never be able to do that. For two months, every day, I trained, you need a very strong core as well. Very strong abs. Very strong arms. Little by little, I’d go higher and higher and higher and that was amazing.”

Mick Jagger undergoing heart valve replacement surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Mick Jagger will reportedly undergo heart valve replacement surgery this week.
The Rolling Stones legend – whose procedure means the iconic rock band’s US tour has been postponed – will have the “non-invasive” operation in New York, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Mick will be undergoing a non-invasive heart valve procedure. The prognosis is good and this kind of surgery has a high success rate.”
The report adds that the 75-year-old star is hoping to be out of hospital 48 hours after the surgery this week, and to be back on stage by the summer.
Meanwhile, Professor Sir Nilesh Samani – Medical Director at the British Heart Foundation – suggested Mick will most likely have keyhole surgery.
He explained: “The benefit is that there are no big scars that need to heal, unlike open heart surgery.
“A patient can expect to go home within 24 to 48 hours, feel well one or two weeks later and be back to normal health after a month. The procedure is highly successful and if all goes well, it is possible Mick will have more energy than previously.”
It comes after the ‘Paint It Black’ group announced on Saturday (30.03.19) that they were postponing their stadium tour to give the frontman chance to have the operation and properly recovery.
He said: “I hate letting our fans down and I’m hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour but am looking forward to getting back on stage as soon as I can.”
The band – which is also made up of Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood – added in their own statement: “Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”
It was previously claimed the ‘Brown Sugar’ singer was already “bored” with having to rest at home because he’s actually feeling “great”.
A source previously said: “He’s massively frustrated, he wants to be getting back out there and at this moment in time he’s feeling absolutely fine.
“Of course he has taken the medical advice on board, but he looks after himself well and feels totally capable at this moment in time.
“He’s optimistic he won’t be laid up for long, and at the moment he’s just hanging out in Miami with the other guys.”

Donny and Marie have also denied claims their decision was down to them feuding, insisting they argue every day anyway.

Keeley Hawes can’t escape Bodyguard

OHMYGOSSIP — Keeley Hawes can’t “escape” her ‘Bodyguard’ alter-ego Julia Montague.
The 43-year-old actress is tired of talking about the award-winning BBC show, which saw her character killed off, and even gets stopped in the streets of Corfu, Greece, where she films her ITV drama ‘The Durrells’ by people who recognise her as the Home Secretary – who was protected by Richard Madden’s PC David Budd.
Speaking to the latest issue of RadioTimes magazine, she said: “This is the best place for me right now, I think! Being away from it all is amazing – in the middle of nowhere on a small Greek island.
“Although I’ve still heard what’s going on.
“It seems there’s no escape from ‘Bodyguard’.
“Even here in my Corfu bubble people come up and ask me about it!”
Keeley has since starred in ‘Mrs Wilson’ and Channel 4 series ‘Traitors’, and although she admitted the reaction to Julia’s assisantion was “the nicest thing”, she wishes people would talk about her other roles.
She said: “The reaction is the nicest thing in the world but, I mean, I’ve done three things between ‘Bodyguard’ and this – all completely different – and being here now is wonderful.
“A total escape on a beautiful island. That’s the fun part of my job, isn’t it?”
Meanwhile, Keeley admitted that she is finding it difficult to say “goodbye” to ‘The Durrells, which is coming to an end with its fourth and final series, but admitted she would rather the comedy goes out on a “high”.
She said: “Saying goodbye is incredibly sad … I can barely talk about it.
“But it’s the right thing to do – it’s always better to go out on a high.”
She also teased that the show’s creator Simon Nye has written the “perfect end” for the series.
“And I really hope that people will be happy with the way we’ve decided to end their story.
“Because it’s tricky. Everyone’s really invested in The Durrells. I’ve really invested in them! So, I hope we’ve done the right thing by the fans and the Durrell family.
“And that it’s a satisfying conclusion to this chapter of their lives. Simon Nye [the series writer] has created the perfect end.”

Simon Cowell: It’s ‘harder’ to find talent in the UK now

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell says it is “harder” to find talent in the UK now.
The 59-year-old music mogul feels himself and the team at ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ would be doing “above average” if they could find just two good acts this series.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Yes, it’s really, really difficult. If we find two great acts per season, I’d say we’re doing above average. I do believe we’ve found some extraordinary talent this year. But we’ll have to see whether the viewers agree.”
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is set to return to screens this week with Simon taking his judging position alongside Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
Ant McPartlin – who took a year out to focus on his sobriety after a drink driving conviction – has also made his return to the show alongside his presenting partner Dec Donnelly and Alesha recently revealed “everyone is happy” to have him back.
She said: “We’ve worked together now for, I think, seven years and when we get together it is like a family vibe in the studio and it just feels good and it’s so great, and everyone’s happy and back to our naughty selves … There’s a lot of love and, I think, you ladies know the more you work with people, the more you build up relationships and care about each other as people – you’re not just doing your job, you care about each other’s wellbeing, it’s no different on our show.”
Dec had previously admitted in late 2018 that ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ would be “back to normal”.
He said: “It’s back to normal for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – fingers crossed it will be great.”
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ returns to screens on Saturday night (06.04.19).

She said: “I normally write in a bunch of different directions at once.
“Now, the thing that I noticed, generally with a lot of artists, is that we try to put out the most obvious choices.
“I am trying really hard not to do [that] and instead offer something fresh and different from what I did before.
“It is all about showing some kind of growth with each project.”
The Canadian star is set to tour the US in support of her new album, kicking off at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California, on June 27, and wrapping at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on August 10.
Carly also recently announced her first London show since 2015 will take place at XOYO on May 29.
Tickets for the latter concert go on sale on Friday (05.04.19) from 10am.
Meanwhile, the singer recently revealed she secretly filmed Seal eating “an entire loaf of bread” on a private jet.
The ‘Party for One’ hitmaker was sharing a flight with the ‘Kiss From A Rose’ star and singer Michael Bolton on their way to “some gala event”, and she opened up about the bizarre journey with her unlikely travel companions.
She recalled: “Fun fact: Seal ate an entire loaf of bread one slice at a time. It was gluten-free though.
“So that’s good… [The video is] in my phone… The way it happened… He opened the bread, he removed a piece, he closed the bread, he ate the whole piece, nothing on it. Then he did it all over again.”
Carly “had so many questions” about the turn of events, and she took the video so she could ask a friend what they thought was going on.
However, she admitted Seal might have noticed her covert filming, and said it was “a little awkward”.
She said: “That’s probably why things were a little awkward for the rest of the flight. Yeah, maybe.”
