Coleen Nolan contacted by toy boys on Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has been asked out by a host of younger guys via Instagram.
The 53-year-old star is single again following the end of her 10-year marriage to her ex-husband Ray Fensome in 2018 and she has confessed that she has had some romantic interest from potential toy boys who have messaged her on the photo sharing platform.
Coleen has so far spurned the chance to date one of the youthful hunks because she wouldn’t feel comfortable dating a guy who she’s old enough to have “given birth” to.
The former Nolan Sisters singer made the revelation during a panel discussion on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (08.01.19) about 50-year-old French author Yann Moix’s comments that he isn’t interested in women in their 50s, describing that demographic as “invisible” to him.
She spilled: “I have had a couple of offers [on Instagram] but they’re all young and I think, ‘If I was Coleen Smith from up the road, you wouldn’t be messaging me,’ it’s because I’m on telly because there’s no way a man of your age is gonna look at me and go ‘Phwoar, she’s fit!’
“No, I couldn’t go for someone too young, well anything younger than my eldest son who is 30. I say if I could have given birth to them, I couldn’t go out with them … And also being with someone that young would make me feel older. They’d be like, ‘Do you want to go out this weekend?’ And I’d be like, ‘No, ‘Dancing On Ice’ is on.”
Despite ignoring her Instagram suitors up to this point, Coleen – who has three children, sons 30-year-old Shane Jr. and Rixton frontman Jake Roche, 26, with first husband Shane Richie and daughter Ciara, 17, with second spouse Ray – is interested in finding love again.
However, the ‘I’m In the Mood for Dancing’ hitmaker doesn’t know how she is going to meet the right man for her as she very rarely goes out socially these days.
She said: “I’m single now and 54 this year and you think, ‘Who is going to be interested in me when they can get a 30-year-old?’
“But it’s amazing how as soon as you become single, people will go, ‘You might meet someone.’ And I’m really happy to have this time to just me. I haven’t had that for years and I’m really enjoying it, and also my house is always full, and so I never feel alone. Sometimes when they all go out and for five or ten minutes you might think, ‘Oh this it will be like when they’ve grown up and really left home.’ It’s companionship more than anything, but I don’t meet anybody, I don’t go out.”

Mel B won’t bad mouth exes to her kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B has never said a “bad word” to her three daughters about their fathers.
The Spice Girls star has Phoenix, 19, with first husband Jimmy Gulzar, Angel, 11, with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy and Madison, seven, with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte – whom she divorced last year in acrimonious circumstances accusing him of emotional and physical abuse, allegations which Stephen has denied.
Whatever issues Mel, 43, may have had with her exes she is adamant she works hard to not give her kids a negative impression of their dads and wants them to have positive relationships with their fathers.
Speaking in the new issue of OK! magazine, Mel said: “My oldest [Phoenix] is 19, so I had to do every other weekend and certain weekdays for 18 years. I’ve never said a bad word about any of their fathers to my daughters. Angel sees her dad [Eddie Murphy] on a regular basis. One thing I do with all three of my girls is make sure they know that they’re loved, and that they came from a place of a loving relationship. I always make it a very exciting thing when I send them off to their fathers. Angel is different, because me and her dad don’t have any problems with each other. With Madison [whose dad is Stephen Belafonte] they take everything in, so I try to make it exciting for her, even though I have huge issues with her father.”
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge also confessed she has always remained incredibly “honest” in her life and she is reminded to stick to that mantra by her kids who always “say how they feel”.
She added: “One thing that’s an ongoing thread in my life is being very honest. Kids say exactly what they feel. That’s one of the things that I stick by. It’s not to offend or intimidate anybody. It comes from a good place and I have good intentions.”

Vanessa Hudgens says Jennifer Lopez is like a mother to her

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens says Jennifer Lopez has become a surrogate “mamma” to her since they worked together on ‘Second Act’.
The 30-year-old actress has revealed that her and the 49-year-old star have developed a mother and daughter relationship after bonding deeply and “talking telepathically” to each other while filming their latest romantic comedy.
The ‘High School Musical’ actress told Haute Living magazine: “[Jennifer] is the queen. She’s the O.G. of rom-com; she starred in my favorite [films] growing up. When I came in to do camera tests with her, I immediately felt this insane connection. I felt like we got to a point where we could be in a scene, and we were talking telepathically, where she’d be trying to tell me something, and I’d just go with it. I’d be like, ‘Are you trying to tell me this because I feel like you are?’ And she’d say, ‘Yes, baby.’ I’d be like, ‘Oh my God, I totally read your mind!’
“But seriously, not only was it a fun, exciting, iconic experience, but I also got to connect with someone that I admire in a real and deep way.
“[Jennifer] ‘mama’-ed me. She embraced me; whenever she sees me, she gives me the biggest, warmest hug. She always checks in on me and sees how I’m doing.”
Vanessa also gushed that her curvaceous co-star gave her sound career advice that inspired her to “conquer the world” and strive for the epic success of her role models.
She said: “We’d be between sets, and we’d just talk. I’d tell her about my career and where I think I’m lacking, and she’d tell me what she thinks the right steps are to get to where I want to be. And I’d be like, ‘Oh yeah, of course, I’ll do that, and I’m going to conquer the world just like you!’ ”

Steve Coogan confirms Alan Patridge return

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Coogan has confirmed Alan Partridge will return to screens next month.
The 53-year-old actor – who plays the inept TV and radio presenter – has confirmed his character will be back to tackle serious topics like #MeToo on his new magazine-style series ‘This Time With Alan Partridge’.
Speaking on podcast ‘WTF with Marc Maron’, he said: “What we do is we have him trying to jump on the bandwagon and say, you know, he says, ‘Hey! I’ve made mistakes, I’ve stood on the side of the sidewalk and slow hand-clapped while I watch a woman try to parallel park, you know, and I feel bad about that. And now if I saw a woman doing it now, I would shout instructions.’
“He’s sometimes ignorant and prejudiced but he tries to do the right thing.
“Early on we made him too predictably conservative a bit like shooting fish in a barrel – a caricature.
“Whereas now we do him as someone who realises that he’s got to get on message. He’s struggling to do the thing he’s supposed to.”
The comedian explained that his character’s lack of filter allows him to make some “atrocious” arguments and explore topics such as the #MeToo movement, which can be “difficult” to talk about.
He said: “Me Too – there’s a whole episode about that. That’s such a difficult topic for anyone to talk about for anyone to say anything about, but if you’re doing a character it weirdly gives you this licence to. You can get things wrong in a big way and it’s fine because it’s him doing it.
“You’re not saying that he’s right and you’re not saying that he’s wrong. It allows you to sprinkle a little humanity on arguments that are atrocious.”
The upcoming show will co-star Susannah Fielding as presenter Jennie Gersham, and Tim Key as Simon Denton, and is expected to run for six episodes.

Courteney Cox: Johnny McDaid is my one

OHMYGOSSIP — Courteney Cox says Johnny McDaid is the “one” for her.
The former ‘Friends’ actress opened up about her romance with the Snow Patrol musician – whom she was engaged to in 2014 before the pair split up and then reconciled – and she revealed with them not being married, her man has another term for her to show her how much he loves her but she’s not super keen on the title.
Appearing on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, she said: “He’s my guy, he’s my one. He’s my partner, that’s what he calls it, ‘my partner’. I’m from Alabama, so you don’t really say partner unless you’re in the same sex … Saying partner is difficult for me!”
The 54-year-old star – who has 14-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette – admitted the word has caused some confusion in the past regarding what gender her “partner” might be.
She explained: “I was in Atlanta not that long ago and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m supposed to meet my partner in section F,’ and they were like, ‘Oh, I’m sure she’s going to be there, don’t worry about it.’ Not that it matters, but it’s just a different way to speak.”
Although the couple aren’t married yet, Courteney has said it feels like they’re already husband and wife due to the strength of their romance.
She previously said: “We’re not married; I’m married in my heart.”
Johnny, 42, admitted that Courtney is always on his mind and he expresses his strong feelings for her through poetry.
When asked whether the couple had had a wedding ceremony, he said: “We have one every morning when we look at each other.
“My thoughts are never without Court. She’s my best friend. She’s my partner, in everything. When I write her poems, it’s just an extension of how I feel every second anyway, and that’s true for me.”

EastEnders stars to run marathon for Barbara Windsor

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Woodyatt and Jake Wood are among the ‘EastEnders’ stars who have joined forces to raise £100,000 by running the London Marathon in support of Dame Barbara Windsor.
As well as Adam (Ian Beale) and Jake (Max Branning), several other Walford regulars, Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), Tanya Franks (Rainie Branning), Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell), Jamie Borthwick (Jay Brown), Jane Slaughter (Tracey the barmaid) and Kellie Shirley, who previously played Carly Wicks, have joined formed running team Barbara’s Revolutionaries alongside her husband Scott Mitchell.
The group are raising money for Dementia Revolution, a year-long campaign from Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK, following the former ‘EastEnders’ actress’ diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease in 2014.
Scott admits it is “heart-breaking” watching Barbara – who has been living with dementia for nearly five years – struggle on a daily basis, and admitted she can feel “confused, disorientated, frustrated and afraid” at times.
He said: “Dementia can, and does, have a profound effect on daily life.
“It is heart-breaking for family and friends to watch a loved one struggle with day-to-day life and be slowly stripped of their memories.
“The same goes for the person living with dementia, who at times can feel confused, disorientated, frustrated and afraid. Sadly it has been no exception for Barbara.”
Jake wrote on Twitter: “So proud to be supporting dementia revolution with Barbara’s husband Scott & the team from Eastenders (sic)”
At the time of writing, the team have already raised more than £27,000 of their £100,000 target.
In June last year, Jake scooped a British Soap Award for Best Scene, and he dedicated the accolade to Barbara, who played Peggy Mitchell on the show from 1994 until 2016.
He said: “I want to send a big ‘EastEnders’ hug to Barbara Windsor and her husband Scott. We love you very much, thank you very much.”

Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley calls for Joe Tate return

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ star Jeff Hordley wants Joe Tate to make a shock return to the show.
The 48-year-old actor, who plays Cain Dingle on the ITV soap, has called for Ned Porteous’ alter-ego, Joe, to come back from the dead after he was killed off.
The soap star admitted he has discussed the possibility of Joe walking “back through the door one day” with his co-star Charley Webb – who plays his daughter and Joe’s fiancée, Debbie Dingle – with the pair keen to work with the former ‘EastEnders’ actor again.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Jeff said: “I hope Joe walks back through the door one day.
“Both Charley and I have talked about it. We’ve not spoken to Jane Hudson, our exec producer, but me and Charley love working together.”
Upcoming scenes on the programme are set to show Cain revealing the truth to his daughter about how her fiance died, and Jeff opened up about what is to come for Cain and Debbie.
She said: “Yes there is a rift but I’m hoping they still come back together at some point, and if the truth of the situation is that Cain didn’t kill Joe, maybe it’s a road back for father/daughter to reunite.
“I’d love that, but that’s the nature of stories like this. It will put us in new territory as father and daughter.”
The star previously admitted that despite the violent storyline, it’s been “nice to play something different” and explore different sides to his character.
Speaking of the plot, he said: “It’s new territory for me, so it’s been nice to play something different.
“When you stay in a soap, it’s like an onion and there’s so many layers to get to with the character.
“At the same time, there are also stories that repeat but just with different people.”

Spice Girls manager says streaming figures are ‘meaningless’

OHMYGOSSIP — Spice Girls’ manager doesn’t care about “meaningless” streaming figures.
Simon Fuller has opened up about the modern trend of stats and social media numbers, and insisted that all that matters is how quickly tickets have sold for the group’s upcoming nine-date arena tour.
He’s quoted by the BBC as saying: “There’s no music out, the streaming on Spice Girls, we don’t even bother looking at it because I haven’t a clue what it is, my guess is it’s not very much.
“It’s the fastest selling, biggest selling tour this year, because people engaged with them, they are engaged with them, the girls are awesome, they have a message which connects and we will sell out more stadiums, quicker, than any other artist on planet Earth. Fact.”
Currently, the Spice Girls – made up of Emma Bunton, Mel C, Mel B and Geri Horner – have around 333,000 followers on Instagram, compared to Little Mix’s 10.9m.
His comments come after recent reports that the band’s plans for their own cartoon after it was snubbed by TV networks and film studios.
A source previously said: “The girls all felt the project would be snapped up in a big-money deal, but to date nobody has optioned it and they’re finding it difficult to get it off the ground.
“They have a production deal to make the animation but nobody has bought the rights to broadcast it yet, which came as a great surprise to the girls.
“Geri and Mel B, especially, have been really keen to see themselves made into cartoon characters and launch their legacy to a whole new youth audience. They were hoping that Marvel or Disney would pick up their movie but it just hasn’t taken off.”

The 43-year-old comedian has revealed to his 11.7 million followers on Twitter that he has made two new rules to abide by for 2019’s new year, and they include not reading any reviews about himself to avoid any negative comments, and the second is to “not eat so much food”.
Russell tweeted: “January is a time for resolutions isn’t it? Veganuary, Dry January, So, guess what I’ve stopped doing? I started this a few weeks before, around the winter solstice actually – I tried to be in tune with that energy – and I’ve not been eating any chocolate. I think I might have lost some weight.
“I tell you I read this review somewhere, so there’s two things that have changed as a result of that review: One, don’t read reviews, two, don’t eat so much food. They described me as rotund. Rotund! Like how could I be rotund, I’m not designed for rotundness, look at me. Anyway I have to thank that person because they’ve inspired me.”
Brand has also become a keen baker since moving to the countryside with his wife Laura and their two daughters but he’s also to stop eating the fruits of his labour to stay in shape.

J.K. Rowling lives in ‘fictional worlds’

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K. Rowling has admitted that her writing is the biggest part of her life and is more of a “need than a love”.
The ‘Harry Potter’ author has confessed that she spends most of her “conscious life in fictional worlds” and although there is nothing lacking in her external life, she doesn’t know “how it would feel to live any other way”.
Answering what she loves most about the writing life on her website, she said: “I can’t answer this without sounding melodramatic. The truth is that I can’t really separate a ‘writing life’ from ‘life.’ It’s more of a need than a love.
“I suppose I must spend most of my conscious life in fictional worlds, which some people may find sad, as though there must be something lacking in my external life. There really isn’t! I’m a happy person, by and large, with a family I adore and quite a few activities I enjoy.
“It’s just that I have other worlds in my head that I often slip in and out of and I don’t really know how it would feel to live any other way.”
The 53-year-old writer went on to explain that although she would never complaining about her millions of fans, she sometimes misses when readings and events were “slightly more low key” as she was able to interact with her admirers in a more personal way.
She said: “I miss the days when readings and events were slightly more low key. I’m not complaining, but when audiences grow big you obviously can’t reach everyone who wants to ask you a question.
“Being able to engage with people on Twitter goes some way to solving this for me. It’s astounding that people are still so interested in those books, and I doubt I’ll ever stop interacting as long as there are readers who know the world so well.”

Anne Hathaway ‘sets negative thoughts on fire’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway writes out her negative thoughts and then sets them on fire to combat stress.
The 36-year-old star has revealed the usual way she fights against anxiety, as she recommends the idea of sending the bad “energy” up in flames.
Speaking in Town & Country magazine’s February issue, she explained: “Set a timer on your phone, have a candle nearby, and write it all down. You spew it all out. You do not read it. The timer goes off, you tear it out of the book, and you light it on fire. Literally on fire. All of this energy, this angst, this rage – everything is smoke.”
Anne – whose husband Adam Shulman and their two-year-old son Jonathan play a big part in her life to keep happy and healthy – also revealed how social media has helped her.
Discussing the impact Instagram has had on her life, she said: “Having the ability to do something on my own terms has been good for me. It has allowed me to calm down and communicate in a way that’s more clear.”
However, the ‘Ocean’s 8’ star added while she limits her time on the app to just 15 minutes a day, she also sends the captions and snaps to someone else, and reassesses them an hour later before they are finally posted.
She added: “That way I look at it with fresh eyes. Because once it’s out there, it’s out there.”
There is still negativity with some followers on the photo-sharing platform, and last summer Anne spoke out to shut down body shamers for their cruel comments.
Sharing a video on the site, she later said: “It sounds kind of sad to say, I just wanted to enjoy my summer and let everyone know that I’m living in my body and I’m happy with my body, and if my body is different than what you’re used to, or what you think it should be, that’s [your experience]. My experience is mine, and I’m loving it.”
