Coleen Nolan got death threats

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan left ‘Loose Women’ after receiving “death threats”.
The 53-year-old star took a three month break from the daytime show last year following a furious on-air row with her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate Kim Woodburn and she’s admitted she was devastated by the aftermath, which saw someone tell her they hoped she “died of cancer”, just like her actress sister Bernie, who passed away in 2013.
Coleen – who split from husband Ray Fensome last year – told Notebook magazine: “Everything spiralled. I’d ploughed on with work and hadn’t faced up to my divorce.
“But when the death threats happened it was a catalyst and it all hit me. I needed to get a grip on my life.
“You have to be made of steel to not be affected by hurtful comments. But when people were saying things like: ‘I hope you die of cancer like your sister’, it was time to stop.”
The former Nolan Sisters singer returned to the show in November and is delighted to be back on the panel.
She said: “It’s fabulous to be back. I was rugby tackled by this lot in excitement on my first day. Very touching.”
Throughout her break, Coleen received a lot of support from her co-stars.
Fellow panellist Saira Khan said: “We’re all best mates, so if anything happens to your mates you miss them. We all sent our well wishes and waited for her return….
“We all checked in and texted every week. It wasn’t the same without her, but we supported her every step of the way.”
Kim has previously slammed the way she was treated by Coleen and her sister Linda Nolan on the show, accusing them of “ambushing” her.
She said: “I was ambushed, it was disgusting.
“It was like a circus and I was there for some cruel entertainment. I want Coleen and her sister fired.”
During her brief appearance on the programme, Kim slammed her fellow former ‘CBB’ housemate Coleen as “lying trash” and a “piece of filth”.
She said: “I will never forget what the likes of her and the seven others put me through. I’ll never forget it. Never. It was sad and awful and it was bloody cruel.
“I lose my temper but I’ve got a good heart and soul. She sits there, she’s hard as nails. She’s a con artist.
“I wouldn’t want to sit and talk to lying trash like you. You think what you like. She is trash. Anyone who can stand in a group of seven people and bully … you are trash, you’re a piece of filth!”

The ‘California Girls’ hitmaker says she was grateful to be dating the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor as he celebrated his 42nd birthday.
He wrote on Instagram: “last selfie on a set in my 41st year …i’m grateful and as I contemplate the passage of time I really feel age is just a number and we are not…we ARE the choices we make, the words we speak, the thoughts we create and the actions we take…they shape our realities…and as I say to myself and my son…make smart choices…happy me and my loyal companion (sic)”
Whilst Katy wrote in a since-deleted comment: “Glad I made the right choice doe. Happy birthday angel. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Katy previously revealed “opposites attract” when it comes to her relationship with Orlando.
She said: “I think when you’re attracted to someone, it’s sort of like how opposites attract. I’m looking for that balance and maybe he’s looking for [someone who is] a multi-tasker.”
Her comments follow reports that the actor is feeling “very happy” in his relationship with Katy and is feeling “like a new person” as he’s “matured” a lot since the first time they started dating.

Justin and Hailey Bieber looking for a new home

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin and Hailey Bieber have been forced to look for a new home after their rented property sprung a leak.
The newly-married couple were staying at a house in the San Fernando Valley – which cost them $100,000 a month – but they had to move out last month after pipes burst.
The couple are currently staying at a hotel in Beverly Hills whilst they look out for somewhere else to stay, TMZ reports.
Hailey has taken herself off social media as of late and she feels “so much happier” since taking a break from Instagram.
She wrote recently: “Being off Instagram is the best thing ever. Whenever I take breaks from it I feel so much better so much [happier] as a person … the second I come back on I get immediate anxiety, I get sad and I get worked up. Please don’t get me wrong Instagram is an incredible tool and great way to stay in touch and interact with others. But the negativity screams so loud.
“It’s hard to focus on your well being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive. I just don’t believe we’re called to live a life where we’re so easily caught up in strangers opinions on something they have NOTHING to do with. (sic)”
Justin and Hailey could one day move to Canada as the ‘As Long As You Love Me’ hitmaker finds it “very peaceful”.
A source said recently: “Justin loves being in Canada because it’s very peaceful. He can take Hailey out and it’s not a mess with photographers. They are much more left alone. They seem very happy together.”

Harry Styles working on new film projects

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles is “working” on a number of different acting projects.
The ‘Kiwi’ hitmaker has reportedly turned his focus to acting and movies and has even been stepping behind the camera for some new films.
A source told The Sun On Sunday newspaper: “Since stepping away from 1D, Harry has really enjoyed life outside that pop bubble. Acting is something he really enjoys and he’s been working behind the camera on a number of different projects.”
Harry is still working on music too and he recently revealed he is recording his second solo album.
Speaking back in November, he spilled: “I’m making my second album right now, so I’m going to do that [making the right choices], read a lot and see what happens.”
On finding his feet as a solo artist, he added: “I tried to write as much as possible, with as many different people as possible and try and learn as much as I could. I guarantee I wrote a lot of really, really bad sh** before I wrote anything good.”
This time round, the heartthrob doesn’t have the pressure of having to fit in a movie role, like he did with ‘Dunkirk’ last year. Though he hinted that he’d just have to manage if another job came up whilst he’s writing his new record.
He added: “When I got the role in ‘Dunkirk’, it happened right at the start of my first album, so I had to stop everything for five months. But stuff like that always happens when it happens, so … I’m enjoying not knowing to be honest.”

Calvin Harris is not afraid to give feedback

OHMYGOSSIP — Calvin Harris is not afraid to give people feedback if he thinks their music sucks.
The Scottish DJ says he likes having other people point out something they don’t like in his own work and will always be “honest” if he’s not a fan of a beat or lyric, no matter how brutal he may come across.
Speaking to Tom & Daisy on KISS Breakfast, he confessed: “I like giving people feedback. “Usually I like people telling me if I’ve got something that’s bad.
“I want you to tell me that, right?
“So I would expect other people to be the same. “So if they send me something and I think it’s bad, I’m going to say look, ‘I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think this is very good.'”
The 34-year-old star also admitted that he doesn’t care if his hit song ‘One Kiss’ with Dua Lipa isn’t the recipient of any awards at the 2019 BRIT Awards, because he already knows for a “fact” that it’s the “biggest record of the year”.
He said: “‘One Kiss’ was the biggest record of the year.
“I just work in facts guys, I just work in facts. Don’t get me wrong if someone’s going to give me an award, I will accept that.
“I will say thank you very much. But as far as just cold hard facts go, I already have the biggest record, give it to someone else.”
And the ‘Outside’ producer – who recently teamed up with Rag’n’ Bone Man on the single ‘Giant’ – says he is tipping George Ezra to sweep the board at the ceremony at London’s The O2 arena on February 20.
Asked who he’d like to see do well, he said: “George Ezra is having an amazing year. I want Ezra to win Best Male and I want Ezra to win Best Album. Let’s just say Ezra for everything.”
Calvin loves attending the BRITS because it gives him the chance to visit the UK, after relocating to Hollywood Hills, so he will definitely be attending the iconic bash next month.
He said: “Yeah, yeah, I always go back for the BRITs, I love going back for the BRITs. It’s just another excuse to go back to the UK because I really like going back to the UK. I’m going back for it 100%.”

Nicky Byrne: Liam Gallagher told me to ‘F off’

OHMYGOSSIP — Westlife’s Nicky Byrne claims Liam Gallagher told him to “f*** off” in the 90s.
The ‘Hello My Love’ hitmaker recalled how he was at a shop launch in London’s Bond Street during Oasis’ heyday in the mid-90s, and he and his bandmates were hyped to be in the same room as so many “superstars”, including the ‘Some Might Say’ group, who split up in 2009.
The ‘Flying Without Wings’ singer, 40, thought he’d go up and meet his idol, Liam, the band’s former frontman, but introducing Westlife – who had just formed in Dublin that same year – as their manager Louis Walsh’s “band” didn’t impress the notoriously outspoken 46-year-old rocker.
Recalling the snub from the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker on Friday night’s (11.01.19) episode of ‘The Graham Norton’ show, Nicky spilled: “We were a young band in 1998, we’d just signed a record deal over here and we went to the opening of a big store in Bond Street and there were all these superstars including Oasis, who were so big.
“We thought, ‘We have to go over and say hello,’ so I tapped Liam on the shoulder and said, ‘We’re Louis Walsh’s new band’ and he just said F off!”
Nicky – who is joined by Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Markus Feehily in the group – also revealed that his kids aren’t impressed that their dad is going to be back signing Westlife’s “rubbish songs” on their forthcoming tour after they recently made their comeback with new single ‘Hello My Love’, which they perform on the show, from their first album in almost eight years.
The ‘You Raise Me Up’ star – who has twin sons Rocco an Jay, 11, and five-year-old daughter Gia with wife Yvonne – admitted: “They are at that stage when they say, ‘Dad, you’re not going to sing all those rubbish songs from the past are you?'”
‘The Graham Norton Show’ airs on BBC One from 10.35pm.

R Kelly branded ‘monster’ by daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — R. Kelly has been branded a “monster” by his estranged daughter.
The 52-year-old singer has recently been the subject of docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ – which featured woman claiming he had used his position to abuse women and young girls for decades – and Buku Abi admitted she has been “deeply affected” the programme and has found it “very difficult” to process the revelations.
She wrote in a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories: “Before I start I just want it to be known that I am speaking from the heart, nothing I say or do not say is to hurt ANY party reading this or affected by this.
“To the people that feel I should be speaking up/against everything that is going on right now. I just want you all to understand that devastated is an understatement for all that I feel currently.
“I do apologize if my silence to all that is happening comes off as careless. That is my last intention. I pray for all the families & women who have been affected by my father’s actions. Trust, I have been deeply affected by all of this.
“However, it has been very difficult to process it all, let alone gather all the right words to express everything I feel.”
Buku – whose real name is Joann Kelly – clarified she, her mother and her siblings haven’ had a relationship with the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ singer for “years” following many challenges “in regards to him, his life decisions and his last name.”
And the singer/songwriter admitted she’d been left unhappy about people bombarding her with messages saying she should have spoken out about her famous father before now.
She continued: “My mother, siblings and I would never condone, support or be a part of ANYTHING negative he has done and or continues to do in his life.
“Going through all I have gone through in my life, I would never want anyone to feel the pain I have felt.
“Reminders of how terrible my father is, and how we should be speaking up against him, rude comments about my family, fabricating me, my siblings & our mothers ‘part’ etc. Does not help my family (Me, my sister, my brother, and my mother) in our healing process. Nor does it allow a safe space for other victims who are scared to speak up, speak up.
“”The same monster you all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house.”
Buku explained she had stayed quiet for the sake of her own “peace of mind” and “healing” and stressed she needs to put herself first.
She wrote: “My choice not to speak on him and what he does is for my peace of mind. My emotional state. And for MY healing.
“I have to do & move in a manner that is best for me. I pray anyone who reads this understands I put nothing but good intent behind each word.”
Buku concluded her lengthy series of posts for thanking her family’s supporters for helping to “push us through this hard time.”
She wrote: “This past year for my family has been very difficult, all the love and support you all continue to show is why we keep going. You all fuel us.
“Family, friends, followers, fans, etc… I love you guys to pieces. Your love is appreciated & always will be.”
Kelly, 52, has denied all the allegations made against him and has threatened legal action against his accusers and the makers of the series.

Theft from Aretha Franklin being investigated

OHMYGOSSIP — Police are investigating a theft into Aretha Franklin’s estate.
The ‘R.E.S.P.E.C.T.’ singer died of cancer in August, but two months before she passed away, officers in Michigan began looking into an allegation that some of her assets had been stolen.
Sources told TMZ that the investigation involves someone inappropriately using her funds, but it isn’t currently clear how much money has gone missing.
The revelation about the alleged theft came about because the estate are currently locked in a battle with Aretha’s 61-year-old son Edward – who was born when the Queen of Soul was just 14 years old – as he has been trying to get a court order to force the estate to produce monthly financial documents for his mother’s heirs.
However, according to The Blast, the estate are reluctant to freely turn over the information because they are concerned it could negatively impact the criminal investigation by police into the missing assets.
In addition, the estate is also locked in a dispute between one of Aretha’s ex-husbands regarding music royalties and they are concerned the records and other materials requested “may jeopardise these matters and should not be disclosed.”
The estate wants the court to shut down Edward’s attempt to get the records so the police may continue their investigation.
Last month, the IRS filed a claim in Oakland County Probate Court alleging the Franklin estate owed millions in back taxes and penalties.
Despite court records allegedly showing the ‘Natural Woman’ hitmaker – who had four sons and married twice – owed more than $6.3 million in back taxes from 2012 to 2018 and $1.5 million in penalties, an attorney for the estate claims they have paid off $3 million and are in dispute over the figures.
Lawyer David Bennett said: “All of her returns have been filed. We have disputes with the IRS regarding what they claim was income. We claim its double-dipping income because they don’t understand how the business works.
“She had to pay for transportation, hotel rooms, back-up singers, musicians. When she did that, the IRS was questioning the returns she filed. We’re going through audits. Returns were filed as timely as we could get them filed.”

Sarah Paulson had ‘swear-off’ with Samuel L Jackson

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Paulson had a “swear-off” with Samuel L. Jackson.
The 44-year-old actress was delighted to be cast alongside the 70-year-old screen legend in ‘Glass’ and was determined to get him to “like” her because she felt his approval would make life better and she had a “lot of fun” going head-to-head with him to see who could use the most expletives.
She said: “I just wanted Samuel L Jackson to like me. He is an incredibly formidable human and right away you feel that if he likes you, you are going to be okay in life. We had a bit of a swear-off. I have
a potty mouth and so does he. It was a lot of fun!”
Sarah didn’t even read the script when she was offered the role of Dr. Ellie Staple in the movie because she jumped at the chance to work with filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.
She told talk show host Graham Norton: “I burst into tears when M. Night Shyamalan called to tell me. I really wanted to work with him. I said yes without even looking at the script. It was desperation and admiration.”
Meanwhile, her co-star James McAvoy admitted he was starstruck working alongside “massive movie stars” like Samuel and Bruce Willis because he’d grown up watching them on screen.
He said: “They are massive movie stars. You work with movie stars that are your contemporaries, but when you are working with somebody that was a movie star when you were a wee boy, someone that was starring in ‘Moonlighting’ when you were six, it is unbelievable. It is different.”
James reprises his ‘Split’ character, Kevin Wendell Crumb – who suffers from dissociative identity disorder – in the movie and he needed to find one specific characteristic for each of his alter egos 24 personalities.
He said: “All of them had one driving characteristic. That was key to getting into them physically. I based one of the twins on a young Saoirse Ronan!”
The interview with Sarah and James airs on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on BBC One on Friday (11.01.18) night.

Justin Hurwitz says La La Land will become a stage show

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Hurwitz says plans are underway to create a ‘La La Land’ stage show.
Hurwitz was responsible for scoring and writing the songs for the five-time Oscar winning 2016 musical movie, which starred Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
The 33-year-old composer has revealed that it is his intention to turn the Los Angeles love story into a theatre production but he intends to wait “a few years” as he wants to let the story “be a movie for a while”.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, he said: “The plan is to intentionally take a few years to do it: let the movie be the movie for a while.”
The 2016 romance was directed by Damien Chazelle and follows Gosling’s jazz pianist character Sebastian, and struggling actress Mia, played by Stone, as they are drawn together by their common desire to find fame and follow their passions.
Hurwitz – who won the 2017 Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for ‘City of Stars’ for his work on the movie – is keen work, once again, with fellow writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the musical duo who helped create the original songs in the film.
He said: “I guess it would depend on all of our schedules it would be nice to find a way for us all to work on it again. They’re so much fun to work with. Getting the old band back together would be the fun part.”
As for who would direct the stage version, Hurwitz admitted he wasn’t sure whether original director Chazelle would be up for taking on the project.
He said: “That’s for Damien to decide, but it’s not something he’s going to make a decision on for some time.”

Steve Carell never picks part to ‘impress people’

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Carell will never picks a part to prove to people he is “capable” of playing the role.
The 56-year-old actor is most famous for his comedy performances but he took on serious drama when he played journalist David Sheff, a long-suffering father who tries to save his drug-addicted son, Nicolas – (Timothee Chalamet) – from addiction in the 2018 film ‘Beautiful Boy’.
Carell wanted the part for his own artistic satisfaction because he was intrigued that his alter ego in the movie – which is based on a true story – “doesn’t cast blame” or make “moral judgements” on his child’s drug use.
Speaking to The I Paper, Carell said: “I never want to do a part in order to impress upon people that I’m capable of doing it. I like that the film doesn’t cast blame. It doesn’t make any moral judgements on people who have addictions and that’s important. There is a certain level of scorn in our society that needs to be lifted and [the issue] needs to be understood on a deeper level.”
Opening up about the statistic that 130 people fatally overdose on opioids in the US every day, he added: “It’s such a tragedy. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to do this. It’s such a national – international – emergency right now.”
The story is based on the memoir of David, entitled ‘Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction’.
Carell has revealed that shortly before he started shooting ‘Beautiful Boy’ his 14-year-old son John asked him “an unsolicited question about whether marijuana is a gateway drug” to harder substances.
The ‘Big Short’ star was taken aback because it was relevant to the plot in the flick, however, he admitted he wanted to be “forthcoming” and keep his advice informative but short.
He added: “It’s nothing we’d ever discussed before. And it seemed so strange that it came up just before I was going to start filming this movie. You want to be as forthcoming as you can, but you don’t want to overstay your welcome, because kids generally want information but they don’t want a lecture, and you lose them at a certain point.”
