Jodie Marsh wants to help others in toxic relationships

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Marsh wants to help others in toxic relationships.
The 40-year-old star is making it her mission to support other women and men who find themselves in abusive relationships to get out and continue with their lives.
She wrote on Instagram: “This one is for anyone in a toxic relationship, anyone who is being abused, anyone who is scared to leave, anyone who has no confidence, anyone who has lost self esteem, anyone who doesn’t know where to turn, anyone who doesn’t know how to spot the signs of an abuser, anyone who needs clarification of what abuse actually is and it’s also for anyone trying to get over an ex – to teach you how to be strong and to never shed a tear over them. #itsnotok (sic)”
Jodie also penned a blog post, titled ‘Help is out there’, where she spoke about staying strong and positive after going through so much with her ex.
Jodie had previously slammed her ex Wayne Lennox on social media after she discovered his apparent secret child.
She wrote at the time: “So having spoken to loads of ex girlfriends now, on email, over messenger and over the phone I have just found out that my ex had not two kids by two different women but THREE kids by THREE different women. The whole relationship he hid his third kid from me. Wtf?! My mind is blown. I may have been an easy target and I may have believed his lies for a short while but I am SO happy to have gotten out when I did. I had my eyes opened on NYE as to who he really was and I’m now finding out the extent of his lies. (sic)”

Ryan Adams teams up with John Mayer on new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Adams has worked with John Mayer on his album ‘Big Colors’.
The 44-year-old musician is set to release three records in 2019, and has revealed the first one – which acts as a follow-up to 2017’s ‘Prisoner’ – will see him team up with his guitarist pal, who he teased “brought the heat”.
Alongside a picture of the pair in the studio, which sees Ryan studiously stare at the Grammy-winner as he played the stringed instrument, the ‘Oh My Sweet Carolina’ singer wrote on Facebook: “How lucky to have such an incredible, unbelievable musician and friend & a handsome one at that to play on #BigColors He brought the heat, folks, as usual. We love ya @johnmayer (sic)”
Ryan and John have often shared the stage together to perform a rendition of the former’s song ‘Come Pick Me Up’ from his debut LP ‘Heartbreaker’.
The prolific singer songwriter released a trio of records – ‘Cold Roses’, ‘Jacksonville City Nights’ and ’29’ – in 2005, and is set to repeat the feat this year.
Announcing his plans on Twitter, he wrote recently: “Remember that year when I released three records? Let’s do it again.”
The star also shared a clip from the studio, and added: “It’s sounding f***ing epic. Here it comes… #BigColors @bluenoterecords @CapitolRecords (sic)”
It followed a teasing post from Ryan last summer, when he shared the artwork for his 2000 debut solo album ‘Heartbreaker’ and hinted at a lot of unreleased material.
He wrote at the time: “I wrote this album. I have 17 new songs.
“I have 4 records on a shelf… Does anyone want to hear… Prisoner 2 & 3… Black Hole?
“Live at Capitol Theater w v@stringdusters… Exile on Main Street cover live & rehearsal?
“I’m just asking to see if maybe I’m crazy & no one does. (sic)”
Ryan – who was previously married to Mandy Moore – is known for his prolific output and unusual covers, which have included a full re-recording of Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ LP, and he has admitted in the past that he just wants to make music that moves him and get it out to his fans.
He tweeted: “I have amazing fans. I want them to be able to hear my songs while I’m here. Released my way. To play them for you live. Every artist is different.
“I make a lot of music. It’s time to be who I am. Songs are gifts. Music heals. Cold Roses was written & recorded in 2 weeks. FYI (sic)”

Rita Ora’s easy transformation into Post Malone

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora claims she looks like Post Malone without make-up on.
The ‘Anywhere’ hitmaker shocked her fans when she dressed up as the tattooed rapper for the Kiss Haunted House party concert in London last October but she claims her transformation didn’t require much effort.
Shown a picture of herself as Post, she said: “That’s literally me with no make-up, all that happened was they drew some face tattoos and I put a wig on and had no make-up touch ups, so that’s scarily what I look like in real life.”
Despite her dramatic transformation, the 28-year-old singer was stunned when the audience didn’t recognise her.
She told talk show host Jimmy Fallon: “I literally did a concert and they didn’t clap because they were like ‘Who is this weird human being on stage?’
“I had to talk in the mic and still they didn’t believe me and then I had to sing and they were like ‘OK, we believe her.’ ”
With a world tour on the horizon, Rita is already planning another impersonation.
Asked who she’ll dress up as at the concerts, she quipped to Jimmy: “You, I feel like a suit and a tie.”
Following her Halloween transformation, Rita is keen to secure a collaboration with Post on her next record.
She said: “Apart from how obsessed I am with him, yes I would love to do a collaboration with Post Malone.”
Meanwhile, Rita teamed up with Ed Sheeran to write ‘Your Song’, a track on her latest album ‘Phoenix’, and she joked she thinks he “poos” songs because he works so quickly, much to her delight.
She said: “The thing with working with Ed is like he poos out songs, it’s the craziest thing ,how quick he writes songs.
“We did it in two hours and then we went to the pub, which is what we both like. My dad owns a pub so we just went and had a beer, it was super fun.”

Justin Bieber sets second wedding date

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin and Hailey Bieber will marry again on his birthday weekend.
The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in September but are planning to exchange vows again in front of their friends and family somewhere in Los Angeles during the weekend of March 1.
Sources told TMZ the pair deliberately chose the date because the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker was keen to be a “married” man by the time he turned 25.
Both Justin and Hailey, 22, have families based in the East Coast and Canada, and they initially planned to tie the knot again there but changed their plans due to likely bad weather.
Among those who have already received Save the Date emails for the religious ceremony and Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott.
The couple are said to have sent out three different Save the Date cards so far, but are determined to stick to their plans this time around.
However, they are keeping most of the information surrounding their celebrations a secret as they want all the “exciting details” to be a surprise for their loved ones.
A source recently: “Justin and Hailey are so happy and inseparable. They are thrilled that they can finally share their love and commitment with family and friends. They want the music, entertainment and exciting details to be a big surprise for their guests …
“There was no location included in their text, because they want complete privacy. Everyone is in full preparation mode. Justin plans to use his personal DJ to spin on the big day. They truly are planning a beautiful celebration and a party to be remembered.”
Justin confirmed his marriage to Hailey in a social media post made to mark Thanksgiving in November.
He wrote: “Happy late thanksgiving to everyone. First thanksgiving as a married man, first time hosting thanksgiving. First time both sides of the family has come together. Relationships are hard and love isn’t always easy but thank you Jesus for showing me how! Every day is a learning process, trying to be more like him, patient, kind, selfless, boy I got a long way! But gods grace is sufficient (sic).”

Minnie Driver calls for Riches return

OHMYGOSSIP — Minnie Driver would return to ‘The Riches’ “in a heartbeat”.
The 48-year-old actress starred opposite Eddie Izzard on the FX drama for two seasons but the show was axed in 2008, with the network citing falling ratings for the cancellation.
However, Minnie has branded the decision “lunacy” and claimed the network only scrapped the show because some of its writers had been “vocal” in the infamous Hollywood Writers’ Strike in 2007.
Responding to a tweet asking which cancelled shows people would like to bring back, Minnie posted: “It was a brilliant show, predicated on an even more brilliant idea.
“We were cancelled in the wake of punitive measures taken against writers who were vocal in the writers strike in 2007. Lunacy. I’d make this show again in a heartbeat.”
The ‘Speechless’ actress – who has a 10-year-old son, Henry – previously used Twitter to admit she doesn’t think movie sets are a “good place” for children and urged aspiring young actors to finish their education before thinking about their careers.
Minnie made her comments after being asked by photographer Jason Joseph for some advice for his daughter, who is an aspiring actress.
He tweeted: “@driverminnie we have a very talented very curly haired little 10yr old girl here who is auditioning to play The Rock’s daughter! Can you offer up any advice for her? 🙂 (sic)”
She simply replied: “Finish school.”
Shortly afterwards, she gave a longer response to clarify her stance.
She posted: “Just gave what might be interpreted as a dismissive response 2 children acting. I should clarify:Ive worked with lots of child actors and they are great(mostly) However I will never 4 a sec believe a set is a good place for a child. Education can only ever make you a better actor.(sic)”

Ray Quinn was ‘desperate’ for Hollyoaks role

OHMYGOSSIP — Ray Quinn has always wanted to get back into soap acting, and was “desperate” for a part in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The Channel 4 show’s newcomer – who previously starred as Anthony Murray in former Scouse soap ‘Brookside’ – faced an anxious two-week wait to find out if he had landed the role of far-right extremist Jonny Baxter last year, and he was “overwhelmed” when he was offered the part.
He said: “I was just so desperate to get the job, then a few weeks later, I found out I got the gig.
“I was just overwhelmed and really happy to be given the opportunity to play the role.”
Ray wasn’t fully aware of exactly what his character was all about when he auditioned, but after finding out about the controversial plot – which will see Jonny try to recruit Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) into a far-right extremist group – he “didn’t hesitate” when offered the part.
He added to Digital Spy: “There was always this undertone where there was something dodgy about him, but I wasn’t made fully aware of what it was.
“Obviously when they offered me the role, they explained this fully. I didn’t hesitate, just purely because I knew it was a role I could sink my teeth into.”
Ray was so keen to get back into soap acting, he applied for another part on the soap before joining as Jonny.
He recently said: “I actually auditioned for a different role originally, then Jonny came along. ‘Hollyoaks’ like to keep things close to their chest.
“I was only told that he was a confident guy and the life of the party, someone you could go for a drink with.
“After I got the role though, and was made aware of what it entailed, I was rather excited by the challenge of the role may bring.”

Spike Lee values ‘impact’ over awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Spike Lee considers the “impact” of his films to be more important than awards.
The 61-year-old director – who has helmed a string of iconic movies during his career, including ‘Do the Right Thing’, ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ and ‘Malcolm X’ – has received worldwide acclaim for his work in the film business, but Spike has insisted he doesn’t measure his success by the number of awards he’s won.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Spike explained: “The goal is not to be nominated. The goal is to make films of impact, and this film [‘BlacKkKlansman’] definitely has.
“I’m not trying to be some grandiose motherf***er like, ‘Oh, I don’t need awards.’ I’m not saying that. But what I’m saying is that, there are things more important.”
Spike’s ‘BlacKkKlansman’ tells the story of real-life black detective Ron Stallworth, who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s.
And the director considers the movie to have been timely, arriving amid tension in the US.
He said: “I think it really deals with the world we live in today. I keep saying this, but it’s true – ‘The stars were in alignment.’ Everything is timing, really.
“You could do anything – a great song, movie, play, novel – and one little thing in there, it’s not gonna hit. It’s not gonna have impact. It’s timing.”

Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray team up for Apple’s first film

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Coppola is reuniting with Bill Murray for Apple’s first film project.
The 47-year-old filmmaker – who is the daughter of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola – previously worked with Bill on ‘Lost in Translation’ and they are set to reunite for Apple’s ‘On the Rocks’.
The upcoming project – which tells the story of a young mother who reconnects with her playboy father – will see Bill star alongside Rashida Jones.
‘On the Rocks’ is being co-produced with A24, which is working with Apple to make a series of movies.
Apple has not yet confirmed a launch date for its streaming service but the company is expected to spend somewhere in the region of $1 billion on original content.
Sofia wrote ‘Lost in Translation’ with Bill specifically in mind for the character of Bob Harris.
But the acclaimed director previously admitted she was anxious prior to shooting the film, which tells the story of an ageing movie star meeting a newlywed, played by Scarlett Johansson, in a Tokyo hotel.
Sofia explained: “It was really nerve-racking. We went to Tokyo and were spending money in the hope that he would show up. I don’t even know how we got our financing without a contract.
“I was determined and probably spent a year trying to track him down. People were trying to give me other options but I was set that I wasn’t going to make the movie if he wasn’t doing it and I really wanted to make this movie, so I had to find him.”

Saoirse Ronan got a ‘weird’ body shape from Queen of Scots corsets

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan was left with a “weird body shape” for a month after wearing corsets for ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
The Irish/American actress has previously opened up about how difficult it was wearing the waist-cinching garment for the period drama – in which she portrays the titular royal Mary Stuart – and has now revealed that when she and her cast mates took the corsets off, they had “hourglass” figures for weeks.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (17.01.19), she said: “The bloody corsets. It changes your shape. After we wrapped, about a month afterwards, myself and all the girls had this weird, I mean it was great, but we had this weird hourglass shape. We had just had these corsets put onto us every day and the warmer the corset gets throughout the day from being put on your body, they tighten it more.
“You think, ‘Oh, I will be able to chill out now,’ and then they come and tighten it even more. So we had different body shapes. It’s no wonder they couldn’t do anything and didn’t exercise so much. They just couldn’t move.”
Another challenge for the role was speaking in French for part of the movie, and though the 24-year-old star has plenty of experience, having executed a flawless southern American accent in ‘Lady Bird’, she said speaking in French required her to send “her mouth to the gym” every day to train the muscles.
However, she find it easy to transfer her natural Irish accent to Scottish.
Saoirse – who stars alongside Margot Robbie’s Queen Elizabeth I in the film – told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “I liked doing the Scottish one because it is so similar to Irish anyway. When you change your accent, you are speaking in a different way. If I was doing a southern English accent or a Californian accent, the way I would speak would completely change. It’s literally just like music and finding the melody of something. We had to speak French in this as well and the muscle they use when speaking in French, is completely different to the ones that we would use. You are basically sending your mouth to the gym every day.”

Saoirse Ronan misses watching This Morning when she’s working

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan misses watching ‘This Morning’ when she’s not in the UK.
The ‘Lady Bird’ star is a regular viewer of the live daytime ITV show, and when she phones her mum Monica back home, she always tells her how annoying it is that she can’t watch Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the sofa when she’s away shooting on location.
Appearing on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (17.01.19), the 24-year-old Irish/American star said: “I will just say that when I am away, I get on the phone to my mam and say I just miss watching Phil and Holly. I watch you guys every day. So when I am away, I genuinely miss watching you more than anything else. I watch it on The Hub.”
The two hosts were thrilled to have a Hollywood star as a fan and thanked Saoirse for her kind words.
Saoirse was on the show to speak about her new movie ‘Mary Queen of Scots’, in which she portrays the titular part of Mary Stuart.
Meanwhile, the ‘Brooklyn’ star, who was born in New York but raised in Carlow, south east of Dublin, recently admitted that she considers Ireland to be her real home.
She said: “Even though I was born in the Bronx, I grew up in Ireland and I enjoy going back because it’s where I feel at home. There’s a serenity there that I can’t find anywhere else.”
Though living in The Big Apple gave her more independence.
She added: “Living in New York, getting to experience the different cultures and being part of the excitement of that city has been important to me.
“Being there has helped me become more open and outgoing, compared to before, when I was living a sheltered kind of life. I’ve matured a lot lately.”
Saoirse – who is an only child – finds it difficult being away from her mother as they are like “best friends”.
She admitted: “She’s always been a role model for me and I have so much respect for her sense of dignity and integrity.
“I’ve tried to take after her and bring that same kind of perspective to the way I live.
“Both my parents have taught me to be true to myself and dedicate myself to pursuing the things that are truly meaningful to me.”

Rylan Clark-Neal believes BBBOTS got him Radio 2 job

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal believes he got his BBC Radio 2 show because people realised he “wasn’t an idiot” from his presenting job on ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’.
The 30-year-old presenter is set to take over from Zoe Ball this weekend with his permanent slot on Radio 2 on Saturday afternoon and he is convinced it was his tenure on the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ discussion spin-off show – which he got offered to helm after winning the Channel 5 reality show in 2013 – that showed potential employers that he was a talented presenter.
In an interview with The I Paper, he said: “It was an opportunity for the public to see the person behind the character I had created on ‘The X Factor’. I won ‘Big Brother’ then I got asked to host ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’, it gave me a career.
“It then gave me my husband [Dan Neal] and gave me the life I have now. Without ‘BB’ I don’t think any of this would have happened. It was the best apprenticeship I could have asked for … I think people realised I wasn’t actually an idiot.”
Rylan – who has also hosted ITV game show ‘Babushka’ and filled in on the sofa on ‘This Morning’, just two of his other TV jobs – accepts some of the public may think “ridiculous” that he was hired to replace Zoe, 48, following her move to the Radio 2 Breakfast Show but he is confident he can win over any listeners with doubts.
He said: ” Of course, you’re going to get the people who only know me for being an ‘X Factor’ contestant and have no idea what I’ve been up too for the past five years. That’s fine – not everyone’s going to follow what I do. I think a lot of people will think it’s ridiculous I’ve been hired but hopefully some will think it’s the right thing to do. I sat in for Zoe a few times, but when I was told that I had got the job properly, my first reaction was, ‘Sorry!?’ It was a shock for me.”

Virgil Abloh reveals Micheal Jackson-inspired Louis Vuitton invite

OHMYGOSSIP — The invitation to Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton menswear show was inspired by Michael Jackson.
The 38-year-old artistic director announced last year that his second collection for Louis Vuitton would be inspired by the late King of Pop – and the invites to the luxury brand’s autumn/winter 2019 menswear show are a tribute to Jackson, featuring the legendary singer’s iconic white glove.
The white gem-encrusted glove is signed by the designer and has the address of Jardin des Tuileries in Paris printed on the palm while also featuring the words: “There was only one us” – which are part of a poem written by Virgil.
Posting a video of the invitation in front of an open flame, he wrote: “woke up the other day and wrote my first poem outside of a high-school homework assignment a million years ago for Louis Vuitton 2.0. @julianklincewicz is here in the studio shooting & directed this (sic).”
A robotic voiceover in the teaser video also reads the prose out loud, saying: “See, the thing is, there is only one. There was only one. Not me, but you; us. There was only one us.”
The fashion designer previously revealed that his next step at the French fashion house would be inspired by the pop icon – who sang tracks such as ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Thriller’ – and insisted the music of Jackson changed the collection entirely.
He said: “My next Louis Vuitton collection is going to be based on Michael Jackson, and when I have Michael singing in the background, it’s a different type of shirt, it’s a different kind of boot, it’s a different fit of pants. Music is key.”

Rihanna in discussions to launch luxury fashion house?

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna is reportedly in discussions to launch her own luxury fashion house.
The 30-year-old singer has enjoyed significant success with her Fenty Beauty line, Puma collaboration and Savage x Fenty lingerie collection, and now Rihanna is in secret talks with LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) to launch a luxury house under her name, according to WWD.
Sources have said that the Parisian giant, LVMH, has already cherry-picked employees for the singer from Louis Vuitton and Celine to work with her on the upcoming project.
Rihanna’s collection with LVMH will include ready-to-wear, leather accessories and goods, and is predicted to be released in conjunction with her upcoming ninth album, which is expected to drop later in 2019.
LVMH – which already houses Fenty Beauty by Rihanna – is home to some of the world’s most prestigious brands and includes Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton.
The fashionista is known for her risque styles and bold fashion choices, having made her design debut back in 2013 with high-street fashion chain River Island, for whom she created an affordable range of clothing and accessories.
Meanwhile, TechStyle Fashion Group – which teamed up with the Bajan beauty to launch her inclusive lingerie line Savage x Fenty – previously revealed that the singer is “involved” in every part of the process.
TechStyle co-CEO Adam Goldenberg shared: “Every single item we have designed she has been involved in the process and seen it on a model, made her own adjustments, decided if we are going to bring it in stock, down to every element of the campaign.”

Chris Cornell’s wife leads star-studded tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Cornell’s wife Vicky led a star-studded tribute concert in memory of the late Soundgarden frontman on Wednesday night (16.01.19).
The likes of Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Jack Black, Brad Pitt and Muse’s Matt Bellamy were among those at the ‘I Am The Highway’ gig at the Forum in Los Angeles to honour the ‘Black Hole Sun’ hitmaker, following his tragic death in May 2017, aged 52.
Vicky said her late spouse would be “very proud” of the turn out and hailed him for paving the way for a whole new generation of musicians.
She said: “We all know how music can change us, but Chris did something more extraordinary – he changed music and paved the way for so many from Seattle to across the globe.
“And that legacy, and his influence, will live for generations to come. I am so proud that, along with his legacy, his philanthropic work continues to grow and flourish.
“Chris would be so very proud. Simply put, to me, and because of all of you, Chris lives on, a music immortal whose passion for helping others is more alive today than ever.”
Former members of his old bands – including Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog – performed on the night.
And the evening featured a touching performance by the ‘You Know My Name’ hitmaker’s 14-year-old daughter Toni, who did her own rendition of Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’, whilst standing in front of a picture of her late father.
Tenacious D frontman and Hollywood star Jack Black was joined on stage by Metallica’s James Hetfield.
Whilst Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl – whose band Nirvana pioneered the grunge sound in the 90s along with fellow Seattle band Soundgarden – did ‘Show Me How To Live’ with Audioslave.
Foo Fighters also dedicated ‘Everlong’ to Chris.
Before performing their hit song, emotional frontman Dave said: “I realise that with all this love, the one person that would have appreciated it the most can’t be here tonight.”
Soundgarden were joined by Taylor Momsen, Waybe Kramer and Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morrello for a group performance of ‘Loud Love’.
And Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Ryan Adams also took to the stage.
In October, a life-sized bronze sculpture of Chris was erected at Seattle’s MoPOP Museum.
A coroner ruled the late rock star’s death as suicide.

Michelle Pfeiffer struggles to find ‘exciting’ acting jobs

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Pfeiffer finds it increasingly difficult to find acting jobs she is “excited” by.
The 60-year-old Hollywood star took a five-year break from movies, returning with a slew of roles in 2017, and though she has two major gigs coming up, a second ‘Maleficent’ out next year, and her upcoming role in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ as Janet Van Dyne, there hasn’t been many other jobs that have taken her fancy as she would rather enjoy her other hobbies than take on work that doesn’t float her boat.
She told Vanity Fair: “I just look for [projects] I can get excited about. And honestly, that gets harder and harder because I also know what it’s like to not work so hard and enjoy my life, and I have other interests.
“But I also have always loved making movies and floating in and out of different characters . . . I love [how] with the film community, I feel really at home there, and I’m really incredibly lucky and grateful to have found my place in the world.”
And it seems she has felt that way ever since she returned to work two years ago, as she said at the time she believed she is “un-hireable” because she’s “picky” about her roles.
The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ star also admitted she’d always make sure her work was suitable for the schedule of her two children – Claudia, 25, and John, 24, whom she has with husband David E. Kelley – and that it had an impact on her career.
She said: “I’ve never lost my love for acting. I feel really at home on the movie set. I’m a more balanced person honestly when I’m working.
“But I was pretty careful about where I shot, how long I was away, whether or not it worked out with the kids’ schedule. And I got so picky that I was un-hireable. And then … I don’t know, time just went on.”
