OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Roma’ won the Film of the Year gong at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday night (20.01.19).
The Alfonso Cuaron-directed drama movie – which stars Yalitza Aparicio, Marina de Tavira and Nancy Garcia – won the coveted award at the ceremony at The Mayfair Hotel.
Alfonso was also named the Director of the Year at the annual awards bash in London.
Olivia Colman and Rachel Weisz were also among the winners on the night, with Olivia claiming the Actress of the Year prize for her role as Queen Anne in ‘The Favourite’ and Rachel winning the Supporting Actress Of The Year accolade for her performance in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed movie.
Olivia, 44, recently claimed the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for her performance in ‘The Favourite’ and she’s also been tipped to win an Oscar in February.
‘The Favourite’ enjoyed further success in the Screenwriter of the Year category, with Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara winning the award.
Elsewhere, Hollywood star Ethan Hawke was named the Actor of the Year for his starring role in ‘First Reformed’, the drama movie that also featured the likes of Amanda Seyfried and Cedric the Entertainer.
Meanwhile, Richard E Grant took home the Supporting Actor of the Year gong for his performance in the Marielle Heller-directed ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.
Acclaimed filmmaker Pedro Almodovar was also handed The Dilys Powell Award for Excellence In Film.

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez will make her comeback on the Julia Michaels song ‘Anxiety’.
The 26-year-old pop star’s first new music since she checked into rehab in October, after suffering an “emotional breakdown” following multiple hospitalisations due to issues related to Lupus and her kidney transplant, will be a feature on the track from the 25-year-old star’s upcoming EP ‘Inner Monologue Part I’, which is released on Friday (25.01.19).
The EP also features One Direction’s Niall Horan on closing track ‘What A Time’.
Julia has helped compose hits for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Janelle Monae in the past, but admitted she was feeling “more nervous” than ever about the release of her impending mini album.
Alongside the artwork posted on her Instagram account, she wrote: “INNER MONOLOGUE PART 1 OUT JANUARY 25TH. Couldn’t be more nervous if I tried. But here’s a piece of my mind and my heart. it’s yours next week. (sic)”
Though ‘Wolves’ hitmaker Selena is yet to comment on the track, Niall, 25, took to Twitter to reveal his excitement at getting to work with the ‘Issues’ hitmaker, and teased their duet is “stunning”.
He wrote: “So excited about this ! I’m singing on @juliamichaels album and I’m over the moon . Julia is one of my very very good friends and ‘what a time’ is absolutely stunning . I’m very proud to be part of this and can’t wait for you guys to hear it . (sic)”
‘Inner Monologue Part I’ is Julia’s fourth EP, her second on Republic Records, and follows 2017’s ‘Nervous System’.
Meanwhile, Selena’s fans might not have much longer to wait for her much-anticipated follow-up to 2015 LP ‘Revival’.
The former Disney star appeared on a live stream on Instagram Stories with her close model pal Connar Franklin in August, when she declared that she was “done” with the record.
In the video, she was heard saying: “My album’s coming out later … I’m done with it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieran Hayler doesn’t think he could have ever “competed” with Peter Andre.
The 31-year-old former stripper and Katie Price called their relationship off in December 2017 after four years of marriage and now Kieran claims Peter, who Katie was married to between 2005 and 2009, was the “love of Katie’s life”.
He told New! magazine: “She always said if it wasn’t for her celeb lifestyle, the reality shows and stuff, her and Peter probably would’ve lasted. He was the love of her life and no one can compete with that.”
And Kieran claims the 40-year-old star used to talk about her exes a lot.
He added: “There is not a day that went by in five years that I was married to Kate that she didn’t mention his [Peter’s] name. Not saying in a positive way because it pretty much was never positive. But, for somebody to talk about their ex-husband so much, it almost makes you think that maybe he was the love of her life and she never got over that. But that’s Katie Price and that’s her mind and no-one will ever get in that mind of hers, and I’m telling you that right now. Her mind is very much her mind.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins accused Jason Gardiner of “selling stories” about her as he gave her a low score on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star was getting feedback from the four judges – Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Jason – when she went on a tirade at the choreographer after he criticised her elegance and control on the ice.
Commenting on her skate to ‘Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend’, he told her: “I know you were channelling Marilyn Monroe … There wasn’t any elegance like you were saying in the VT. She has to be elegant. She is a woman in control of her femininity. You were all over the place hun. And as Ashley said, there’s not enough skating. This is your second skate now. You need to up the ante. We’re not going to see big lifts from you. We’re not going to get any impressive moves.”
However, before he could continue, she interjected and fumed: “Can I just say one thing? Maybe if you didn’t sell stories on me, I wouldn’t have been so upset this week. So take that! Boring, boring! Don’t sell stories on me.”
However, Jason fought back too, telling the television personality: “This doesn’t help your cause. It shows you’re just a brat. Listen to what we’re saying.”
And it was up to host Phillip Schofield to jump in to stop it from getting “completely out of hand”, quickly handing it over to Jayne to give her comments.
She told Gemma: “Skating, yes. You didn’t manage the three rotations on the spin. You touched down. You said you’ve had a difficult week and I feel like the routine was very under rehearsed and lacked content.”
Chris also admitted there was a lack of particular moves, adding: “There’s a lot of production and that looked great. But for the steps, I counted – there was four.”
And Ashley urged Gemma to do more skating if she wanted to move further on in the competition.
He told her: “I look forward to you skating every week as I’m sure a lot of people do. But the fact of the matter is, there wasn’t enough skating. You didn’t do enough to do a higher score. It’s great that you turned up and you’re here but I think moving forward, more skating.”
When she first stepped off the ice, Gemma – who scored a total of 13 out of a possible 40 for her skate – admitted she had a hard week.
She shared: “It’s been a hell of a week and it’s really knocked my confidence a bit too much. I enjoyed it tonight and I had fun and that’s what I’ve come out to do.”
Earlier this week, Jason called Gemma “lazy” and “mediocre”.
He said: “I can always see who’s lazy. Gemma is lazy. She doesn’t look like her heart is in it at all.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson has hinted her daughter will be called Birdie.
The 38-year-old singer – who is expecting a baby girl with her husband Eric Johnson – took to social media site Instagram to share photos from her baby shower over the weekend, and in one picture, her family can be seen standing in front of a neon sign that reads “Birdie’s Nest”.
She captioned the photo, “Birdie’s Nest,” alongside two green heart emojis.
Meanwhile, a source previously claimed Jessica and Eric – who also have Maxwell, six, and Ace, five – were shocked to find out they were expecting.
An insider said: “Jessica and Eric are over the moon. They are so happy and very excited, surprised but overjoyed. It’s fun because Ace and Maxwell are at an age where they understand what it happening. They are really cute waiting for their baby sister.”
Jessica announced she is expecting her third child in September.
Posting a picture on Instagram at the time, she wrote: “This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
The news came as a huge shock to fans as she had previously claimed she’d had an Intrauterine device (IUD) fitted, which would prevent further pregnancies.
Responding to previous speculation she was having another child, she said: “I’m not pregnant. We got an IUD, nothing’s gonna get in that uterus. I have two beautiful children and I’m not having a third.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan thinks he’s largely responsible for Susanna Reid’s new romance.
The outspoken TV star – who presents ‘Good Morning Britain’ alongside Susanna – believes he played a crucial role in helping the 48-year-old presenter to find love with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
Piers, 53 – who is married to journalist Celia Walden – told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Since Susanna became the First Lady of Crystal Palace, we haven’t actually done the whole couples thing.
“The trouble is they don’t drink, the pair of them, so ‘Do you want to come out for some water and kale?’ isn’t really the best invite, is it? There’s been no double-dating since she gave up alcohol.”
Piers also joked that US President Donald Trump has played a crucial role in Susanna’s romance.
The presenter – who made his debut on ‘Good Morning Britain’ in 2015 – said: “I’ve been the gooseberry with them before. And I was responsible, along with Donald Trump, for them getting together.
“We [Piers, Susanna and Steve] were all out in New York for the US elections in 2016, and we all got blind drunk and had a great night.
“There was a frisson then between them and, were it not for Donald Trump, Cupid’s bow may very well have fired in a different direction.”
However, Susanna was quick to dismiss Piers’ claims.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has demanded a public apology from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The 37-year-old TV star wants the presenting duo to say sorry for questioning her professionalism on ‘Dancing On Ice’ after rumours suggested she’d kept the show’s cast and crew waiting while she napped.
Gemma told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I’ve been told on the rumour mill that Phil and Holly have been told off, but a public apology would go a long way.
“I haven’t seen them yet – obviously I’ll see them at the studio, but I’d like an intervention before the show starts. We need to find the culprit responsible for giving them this false information.”
Holly and Phil recently discussed the situation with Gemma on ‘This Morning’.
She said: “I love Gemma and she’s great on the show. But there has to be a bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do.”
And Phil added: “The entire studio was standing there waiting.
“‘Where is Gemma?’ for five, 10 minutes … ‘Oh she’s having a nap.'”
Gemma worries that their comments will undermine her chances on the show.
She explained: “I’m not looking forward to this week at all. What has happened could really affect my voting. It could be the last week I’m in the show because of how difficult it’s going to be to do a good performance.”

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star marked her youngest child’s first birthday with a lavish party based around the characters of the famous Lewis Carroll novel.
Sharing a video of the decor, she narrated it: “Guys, it’s Chicago’s first birthday party. Can you guys guess what the theme is? You guys, look at Chicago’s cake!”
In the videos, Chicago’s amazing cake – which is adorned with an icing replica of the Cheshire Cat and also has a teapot made of fondant on top – can be seen, flanked by cake pops, and slices of cake decorated like playing cards. The room itself is laid out with tables for the guests – both adults and kids – with Wonderland themed decorations displayed on each table.
Approaching the house, fake hedges line the path and continue into their home, with some set out in a maze formation to lead guests to the main party area. There was also a bouncy castle in the garden for the kids to play on.
Kim and her husband Kanye West have everything to celebrate as of late as they have confirmed they are expecting a fourth child – a little brother or sister for North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago – via a surrogate.
A source said previously: “The couple has always wanted a big family, and their first time with surrogacy went so well, they decided to do it again. The couple is excited to welcome such an incredible gift in 2019. They’ve also talked that after this child, they are most likely done having kids.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt thinks Rihanna is “smoking”.
The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ star is a huge fan of the 30-year-old singer and is a particular fan of her hit track ‘Stay’, admitting it makes her cry because it’s so “beautiful”.
In a special feature for W magazine, she said: “I mean, come on. Smoking. That song she did, ‘Stay?’ Isn’t it gorgeous? It actually makes me cry that song, it’s so beautiful.”
Whilst Rihanna is at the top of her game in the singing world, Emily is at a similar position in the film industry. However, she thinks her daughters could be “so much better” at acting than she is.
She said: “I don’t know if I’m all about encouraging my children to be actors … people have a hard time in the industry. So I think I feel unfathomably lucky that it has been kind to me, but I would worry for them. But if they want to do it, god, they would probably be so much better than me! Honestly, I look at them sometimes and say, ‘She is going to be great!'”
However, Emily’s “greatest hope” for her children – Hazel, four, and Violet, two, who she shares with actor John Krasinski – is that they are “truly happy”.
She said: “My children’s happiness, their safety and their well-being is the most paramount thing in my life. And if [I am] unable to give them any of those things, then who am I? What’s my identity? The 24-year-old television personality fired back at Kid Buu, after he questioned whether she really loved Rob or was just with him for “clout”.
Writing underneath one of her pictures, Kid Buu – who is dating Rob’s ex Blac Chyna – wrote in a since-deleted comment: “You really wit robs fat ass for love or is it just for clout? (sic)”
She criticised Kid Buu’s relationship with Chyna, before replying: “to answer your question…I love rob. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Rob is reportedly “in a good place right now”.
A source said of the 31-year-old reality star: “He’s in a good place right now. He’s happy, he’s getting healthier, and he’s just really settled into his role as a parent. That’s his priority and that’s what’s really giving him purpose right now … Rob is not involved with filming ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, he has no interest in that. His family would love to have him back on the show, but they of course support any decision he makes and they’re just happy that he’s finding his groove, being a dad and living a quiet life makes him happy. He sees his family all the time. He’s rarely alone.”
Chyna and Rob have been at war as of late, with the pair involved in a bitter court battle over an incident that Rob claims saw himself get injured and his possessions damaged. In the court documents, Rob claimed it cost him $17,000 to “repair and/or replace only part of the property” Chyna destroyed.
Court documents stated: “Invoices issued to Plaintiff prove that the cost of repairing and replacing some (but not all) of the property damage White caused exceeded $15,800 (including $12,695.47 to replace drywall, patch holes and repaint walls and $3,119.01 to replace the television White destroyed). Plaintiff also incurred substantial costs in changing locks and hiring security to deter additional violent attacks on his person and property.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Blackwood has left ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘EastEnders’ star and his skating partner Carlotta Edwards left the ITV competition on Sunday night (20.01.19) after losing in the skate off to Saira Khan.
Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby after learning of his exit, he said: “Yeah, I’m disappointed but it’s all good. It’s all good.”
And Carlotta was in tears as she spoke of the amazing friendship they had made during the series.
She added: “We’ve built a friendship that has lasted forever and that’s what means the most to me. And the fact my dad and brother are watching.”
Jason Gardiner opted to save Richard as he felt he “has more of the skating ability”.
He said: “This is a really close skate off actually and the two of you, I can see you really want this. But tonight I’m going with the couple that has more of the skating ability.”
Ashley Banjo, too, chose to vote for Richard and Carlotta.
He shared: “This is really tough, really tough. It’s really close for me. But I’m going for the couple that is showing the most improvement but also this week, given me slightly more, both in the show and the skate off. I’m going to save Richard and Carlotta.”
However, Christopher Dean decided to save Saira based on her save-me skate.
He told the duo: “For me, the winning couple is the roar of the tiger. Saira and Mark [Hanretty].”
As head judge this week, Jayne Torvill was given the casting vote and she opted for Saira.
She said: “One had the skating, one had the performance but the couple I’m going to save was Saira and Mark.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will skate on ‘Dancing On Ice’ next week.
The former British, European, Olympic and World champions have confirmed they will take to the ice during next Sunday night’s (27.01.19) show.
Teasing viewers about their appearance next week, the duo smiled as hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby confirmed the pair would take to the ice – but details about their performance are being kept quiet and they didn’t reveal any more.
The duo have always danced on the show since its inception in 2006 but over the years, they danced less and less and during last year’s show, which was won by singer and television star Jake Quickenden, they only performed once to ‘The Impossible Dream’.
Earlier this series, Phillip questioned Jayne if they would perform on the show, asking her: “Jayne, a lot of people are asking, so I’m going to ask you now for the first time. Will you guys be skating this year?”
And the duo were only happy to confirm they would, earning a cheer from the crowd.
Fans will be no doubt hoping the pair will dance their famous Bolero routine, which saw them win medals at the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics.
Meanwhile, host Holly previously credited the success of the ITV show to coaches-turned-judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
She explained: “I think it’s very much due to the power of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, because they are such a British institution, they’re legends in their own right. To be taught by those two or to have them as part of the show is such a unique experience. I think that’s why people still really want to do it.”

The ‘Say Something’ hitmaker took time out of his ‘Man of the Woods’ tour to meet kids at HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio after they recorded a video dancing to his hit track ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ from their hospital beds.
The hospital shared on their official Twitter page: “We want to thank @jtimberlake for visiting with our amazing kids and their families! We also want to say thank you to YOU! for helping make this possible by sharing and liking their video. #JTSawMe (sic)”
And one fan Maria was given the VIP treatment and was invited to join Justin at the AT&T Center for his show.
Another tweet reads: “Maria is getting the VIP treatment from @jtimberlake! At the @attcenter and #djfreestylesteve also sharing the love! #JTSawMe (sic)”

The Duchess of Sussex hosted her friend Daniel Martin for breakfast at Kensington Palace over the weekend and the make up artist took to Instagram to reveal she is still a pro at making the tasty meal.
Referencing her old and now closed lifestyle website The Tig, she wrote on the photo sharing site: “Back to our Tig days.., Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM! #foodie #foodiegram (sic)”
Meanwhile, Meghan – who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry – is said to be in the “happiest period of her life” right now.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: “She has told friends that this is the most exciting [time], the happiest period in her life. I’m told that she is upbeat and that she is happy. Behind the scenes, she and Harry are really happy at the moment. They are super excited about the spring birth of their baby. They are very much looking forward to moving into their new home in Frogmore Cottage.”
And Katie believes the royal couple will be having a “very modern” nursery with no pink or blue, as they want to keep the room as unisex as possible.
She added: “The couple has said that they don’t know the sex of their baby. Meghan gave away a little detail that we’ve all been hoping to hear, that it’s going to be a spring baby. They’ve decided not to find out the sex, but according to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern. OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle is the “avocado toast whisperer”.
The Duchess of Sussex hosted her friend Daniel Martin for breakfast at Kensington Palace over the weekend and the make up artist took to Instagram to reveal she is still a pro at making the tasty meal.
Referencing her old and now closed lifestyle website The Tig, she wrote on the photo sharing site: “Back to our Tig days.., Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM! #foodie #foodiegram (sic)”
Meanwhile, Meghan – who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry – is said to be in the “happiest period of her life” right now.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: “She has told friends that this is the most exciting [time], the happiest period in her life. I’m told that she is upbeat and that she is happy. Behind the scenes, she and Harry are really happy at the moment. They are super excited about the spring birth of their baby. They are very much looking forward to moving into their new home in Frogmore Cottage.”
And Katie believes the royal couple will be having a “very modern” nursery with no pink or blue, as they want to keep the room as unisex as possible.
She added: “The couple has said that they don’t know the sex of their baby. Meghan gave away a little detail that we’ve all been hoping to hear, that it’s going to be a spring baby. They’ve decided not to find out the sex, but according to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern.
