OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has prevailed in a $1 million lawsuit against a realtor.
A federal court judge has sided with the 29-year-old singer after a real estate broker from company Douglas Elliman claimed she owed $1 million in commission after she bought an $18 million New York townhouse in 2017, according to The Blast.
But the judge has thrown out the case after the estate agent failed to provide enough evidence to support his allegations.
It was ruled that an email from an employee to one of the ‘Shake It Off’ singer’s representatives didn’t demonstrate she had agreed to pay a seven-figure commission fee, nor that she was planning to use the broker exclusively.
This comes after Douglas Elliman had sued Taylor’s Firefly Entertainment firm for $1,080,000 in what they claimed was unpaid commission, alleging she had “wrongfully excluded” the company from the house purchase.
But Firefly filed a motion to dismiss the suit, claiming the company was “seeking commissions for real estate transactions in which it had little or no involvement”.
The court document added: “In keeping with this pattern, through this action Douglas Elliman seeks more than a million dollars for a real estate transaction in which it does not claim to have played any material role.”
Taylor’s company said the agent had arranged one viewing and provided basic information about the abode, but didn’t contact the ‘Story of Us’ hitmaker again.
She later bought the property around nine months later with another agent.
Taylor’s New York townhouse, located in the city’s affluent Tribeca area, features a gym, home theatre, heated floors and a rainfall steam shower.
There is also a guest suite with a separate entrance, and an outdoor terrace complete with a grill.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has launched a new range of acoustic guitars.
The 27-year-old singer/songwriter confirmed his collaboration with Lowden Guitars in Downpatrick at the National Association of Music Merchants 2019 show in California on Thursday (24.01.19) and the ‘Perfect’ hitmaker is aiming to create affordable quality guitars in the hope of inspiring more young people to learn how to play.
In a statement, Ed said: “There are fewer guitar bands and fewer artists using guitars now, and not as many kids picking up guitars.
“That is something I would like to change by getting these great quality guitars, made in Ireland, into kids’ hands and encouraging them to learn and progress.
“To be able to work in tandem with a guitar company like Lowden to create a whole different concept has been a really cool experience.”
One of Lowden’s most popular guitars, the Wee Lowden, was designed as a present for Ed in 2013 by the firm’s founder George Lowden with the instrument being commissioned to made as a gift by Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody, and that was the start of a long-standing friendship between Lowden and the ‘Shape Of You’ singer.
George added: “We have been honoured over the past years that Ed has chosen to play Lowden guitars both on-stage and in the studio.
“We are delighted to have established a close ongoing relationship which has borne fruit recently through the birth of Sheeran by Lowden.”
Ed thrilled fans at the event with a surprise performance at the event.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer has been a fan of the handmade Lowden guitars since he saw his idol Damien Rice use them in his sets.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner and Willow Smith are the face of Stuart Weitzman’s Spring 2019 footwear campaign.
The 23-year-old model has teamed up with the prestigious designer to be the face of the #SWWomen advertisement alongside Willow, Yang Mi, and Jean Campbell, in what is the first instalment of the brand’s four-part series for spring 2019.
The inclusive campaign – which is shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin – shows the models wearing different shades of nude stiletto styles to emphasise their extensive shade range.
The announcement comes shortly after Kendall revealed the extent of her troubles with acne.
The reality TV star – who recently announced a partnership with the skin-care brand Proactiv – defended her campaign for the brand and insisted that although “there are much bigger problems”, she said her acne was “debilitating” and made her feel “helpless and insecure”.
Sharing a black and white snap of herself, Kendall said: “While there are much bigger problems happening in the world, suffering from acne for me was debilitating. It’s something that I’ve dealt with since I was a young teen and has caused me to feel anxious, helpless and insecure.
“As humans, I don’t think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time where being “perfect” is the standard. We curate our life online and pick the pretty moments to post. I’d like to show a younger generation that not everything is perfect. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Corden has joked that he’s been peeing like a pussy to prepare for his role in ‘Cats’.
The 40-year-old comedian will play the wise moggy Bustopher Jones in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical, and has quipped that he’s been fully immersing himself in the role by living like the animal and using a litter tray to go to the toilet.
Appearing on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, he laughed: “I immerse the character.
“I’ve just been living as a cat.
“I don’t use the bathroom – I have a litter tray … and that’s just what I’ve been doing the whole time.”
Corden’s pussy quip comes after Sir Ian McKellen admitted he wants to find his “inner pussy” for his part as Gus the Theatre Cat.
The 79-year-old screen legend recently joked he will embrace his “moggyiness” for his performance.

Taylor Swift (Bombalurina), Jennifer Hudson (Grizabella) and Jason Derulo (Rum Tum Tugger) are also set to appear in the motion picture, which will be produced by Hooper, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Debra Hayward, while Steven Spielberg will be one of the executive producers of the project.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt LeBlanc got asked if he was his ‘Friends’ alter-ego Joey Tribbiani’s dad by a new fan of the sitcom.
The 51-year-old actor – who played the role on the popular US series from the first episode in 1994 – was 15 years younger when the final episode aired in 2004, and since then the show has been repeated on TV and streaming services like Netflix and attracted a younger generation of viewers.
The former ‘Top Gear’ host has recalled how he made a run for it when a teenager thought he was the father of Joey.
During an appearance on ‘Live! with Kelly & Ryan’, he said: “It seems like every year there’s a new generation that watches it.
“I was walking down the street one day, this was a few years ago, this kid, he must have been 13, 14, he’s like, ‘Oh my god, you’re Joey’s dad!’
“And, my response was ‘Scram!'”
Matt previously admitted he doesn’t think a ‘Friends’ reunion would work because he’s too old.
In response to previous speculation that the programme was set to return to screens, he said: “I don’t think anybody wants to see Joey at his colonoscopy!”
Matt understands why fans of the sitcom are so desperate for a ‘Friends’ reunion, but he explained that the show’s humour belonged to a particular period in the characters’ lives.
He reflected: “I understand that people really want to see that reunion. But that show was about a finite period in these six characters lives, between 20 and 30.”
Matt used an analogy to further explain his view.
He said: “I think it’s almost a case of, like, the book is better than the movie.”
The actor added: “I think everyone’s imagination of what they [the characters] are doing is better.”
Matt – who starred on the sitcom alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer – also suggested that at least one other cast member was reluctant to make a return.
He explained: “It’s not any one person. I think it’s better to just leave it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez doesn’t need to get married to be “happy”.
The 49-year-old singer-and-actress had an enlightening conversation about marriage with her 10-year-old daughter Emme – who has a twin brother Max – who told her at the age of eight that she doesn’t see herself tying the knot when she’s older, but when she was a child herself, the ‘Second Act’ star had a dream of being whisked off her feet by her “true love”.
Jennifer – who has been dating Alex Rodriguez since 2017 – told the March issue of Red magazine: “I grew up with the fairy tale, ‘A prince is going save you’, ‘Wait for true love and that’s what makes you happy’, ‘If you’re not married, you’re not happy’.
“Well, let me tell you, my daughter is eons above me already.”
Recalling their chat, she continued: “She said to me when she was eight, ‘I don’t know if I want to get married, mommy’.
“And when she said that I was like ‘Yes!’ because I’ve been teaching her to love herself since she was little.”
Jennifer has been married three times before, was once engaged to ‘Gone Girl’ actor Ben Affleck for two years, and was previously in a five-year relationship with ‘Dirty Dancing’ star Casper Smart.
The ‘Shades of Blue’ actress was with her third husband Marc Anthony – the father of her children – for 10 years between 2004 and 2014.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker was married to second husband Criss Judd between 2001 and 2003, and first husband, Cuban actor Ojani Noa, for under a year.
Jennifer has admitted that some of her relationships “didn’t serve” her and that learning to appreciate her own “worth and value” is something she preaches to herself and her children.
She said: “I feel like I’m in my second, third, or fourth act.
“I feel like I’ve lived several lifetimes already and I’ve had to figure myself out along the way, work out why I felt a certain way, or got into relationships that didn’t serve me.
“And I finally realised, ‘It’s me. It’s all me. I got to fix some stuff. I need to understand my own worth and value’.”
When Jennifer became a mother, she wanted to do everything she could, including turning to religion and practicing yoga and meditation, to make sure she’s the best version of herself.
She explained: “Once I had my kids, I realised I had to be better,
“I had to do better. So I started doing a lot of work on myself.
“I started searching spiritually, religion, all of it.
“Self-help, life coach, meditation, yoga, more meditation.
“Different types of working out, just trying to find how do I be the best me? You’ve taken the knocks so your kids can be better, right?”
Jennifer also spoke of the importance of having an equal partner with the same “work ethic” like she does with Alex.
She said: “Both Alex and I are Latino. We are both self-made.
“He was always the hardest working baseball player that was – me, the same. We have that in common.
“We have the same work ethic.
“We also appreciate and know that coming from nothing, we always want to try to help and give back and teach our kids that.”

The Oscar-winning actress has admitted to being single-minded about her work, revealing that she was happy to spend 12 hours a day at sea for her new movie ‘Serenity’ because she was so invested in the Steven Knight-directed project.
Anne, 36 – who stars alongside Matthew McConaughey and Diane Lane in the thriller film – confessed: “I’m a nerd, so I just love that aspect of it, being with people who all believed in the same story and were willing to go out and be out in the ocean for 12 hours at a time and nobody complained and everybody dug deep and did the work together and had each other’s backs.
“That’s always the part I love the most.”
‘Serenity’ – which tells the story of a fishing boat captain who is approached by his ex-wife to kill her new husband – was shot on the island of Mauritius.
Anne loved shooting the movie on location and working alongside so many talented people.
She jokingly told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Going to paradise, filming in paradise everyday with Matthew McConaughey … yeah, it’s real hard.”
Meanwhile, Anne recently admitted to being “swamped” by the stresses of shooting ‘Serenity’.
The Hollywood star – who has been married to actor Adam Shulman since 2012 – shared: “It wasn’t the longest job, I think we were only there for five weeks.
“But I remember on the last week looking at my husband and saying something to him, and he looked at me and he said, ‘I’m going to give you the dignity of your process right now. I know this isn’t you. You’ve got two days left. I’ll talk to you in two days.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Jean Slater is to battle ovarian cancer.
The loveable cleaner – played by Gillian Wright – will be diagnosed with the disease in the coming weeks, and the actress is working closely with Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure the plot is portrayed accurately.
She said: “It’s an honour and a huge responsibility to be taking on such an enormous issue, affecting so many women and their families. I’m aware of the impact such stories can have.
“It’s important we treat the issue of cancer diagnosis and treatment with huge sensitivity, dignity and respect. I hope the storyline helps awareness of the disease and is supportive to those that are affected.”
‘EastEnders’ boss Kate Oates has backed Gillian to play out the hard-hitting plot with “great truth and depth”.
She said: “Jean’s diagnosis will impact every aspect of her life, including her family, her friendship groups and her mental health, and I know an actor of Gillian’s calibre will approach the story with great truth and depth.
“The Slaters are an amazing ensemble family, full of complex and well-drawn characters, and this story is a completely fresh subject for them to tackle.
“I know they’ll do it justice and in turn raise awareness of such an important issue that affects so many people.”
This comes just a week after it was confirmed Rob Kazinsky will return to the soap as Jean’s son Sean Slater, and he is expected to head back to Albert Square because of his mum’s illness.
Rob wrote on Twitter: “Happy to be back, I have a short break between projects and Kate Oates is a superstar. It’s something I always wanted to do to say thank you to Sean and the show, and we have worked to fit it in in the most explosive way. I think you’ll be… entertained.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Patty Jenkins has “pretty clear plans” for ‘Wonder Woman 3’.
The 47-year-old director – who helmed 2017’s ‘Wonder Woman’ and the upcoming ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ – isn’t sure whether she’ll return to the role for the third film in the money-spinning franchise, but Patty still has firm ideas about the direction of the movie.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, she explained: “I have pretty clear plans for ‘Wonder Woman 3’.
“Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that.”
Patty’s ‘Wonder Woman’ proved to be a huge box-off success when it was released in 2017.
And she hopes that studios are waking up to the potential of other female directors.
She shared: “I think people are realising there’s money to be made with these other stories that they may not totally understand, and that is incredible.
“I feel like, ‘Oh, my God, there’s so many stories that I want to tell. Maybe I can actually get them made now.'”
Meanwhile, Gal Galdot – who stars as Wonder Woman in the movies – recently claimed that shooting ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ was “even more unique and special” than the first film.

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel is working on a female-driven spin-off of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise based on the work of three major writers.
The 51-year-old actor and his producing partner Samantha Vincent are currently in the midst of developing the project, and Vin has revealed via his Instagram account that they’ve joined forces with writers Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
Alongside a selfie of himself and Samantha, Vin wrote: “As you know, there are three new spin offs that We have promised Universal… well this week we heard a pitch for the Fast female protagonist driven spinoff I created in 2017, and you can tell by the smile on Samantha’s face it was VERY exciting. Shout out to Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Welcome to the Fast FAMILY… (sic)”
However, at this stage, it’s not clear whether all three will be free to co-write the script together or whether, ultimately, just one of them will receive a writing credit.
Meanwhile, Michelle Rodriguez – who stars as Letty Ortiz in the film franchise – previously hit out at the tone of the movies, accusing the Fast and Furious’ films of being “stuck in the 90s”.
She explained: “Letty’s a strong woman.
“She’s a kid who grew up with a socio-economic background that makes you a little bit rough around the edges, I guess. I knew girls like Letty growing up. They’re attracted and loyal to guys like Dominic Toretto because it’s the only way to survive in a place that gets violent – Chicago, New York, Los Angeles.
“When people are poor, there’s a lot of crime and when there’s lots of crime, you have to watch your back.
“It gets physical and that’s why it seems like we’ve been stuck in the ’90s for the last [however] many years that we’ve been doing the franchise, because of the macho bravado involved, but that truly is the voice of the urban ghetto. I was hoping that at some point we’d evolve out of that vibe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker forgot to tell his band about their Coachella booking.
The psychedelic rock band have been announced as one of the this year’s headliners for the iconic California festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio and 33-year-old frontman Kevin let the set that he forgot to relay the news to touring bandmates Cam Avery, Dominic Simper and Julien Barbagallo.
In a new interview with Australian newspaper The Sunday Times, Kevin said: “They would’ve woken up, seen the poster and thought it was a joke, if they read this interview, they’ll know I forgot. We’re not much of a celebratory gang.”
The ‘Less I Know The Better’ hitmaker also offered an update on the next Tame Impala album, revealing he is not working to a strict deadline as he prepares to release the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Currents’.
Kevin admits working with Lady Gaga – who referred to the Australian musician as a “musical genius” for his input to her 2016 single ‘Perfect Illusion’ – has influenced his next record and made him appreciate the excitement of his fans for what he’s going to do next.
He said: “I like to think that the album is its own thing, I wouldn’t want in 20 years to be listening to an album I made now and think that I finished it for any deadline or any particular reason. It was finished because it was finished.
“Anticipation is good … I want to be the kind of artist that feels empowered by people waiting to hear what I’ve got. This is the Gaga in me speaking.”

While boasting about his sizeable piece, the 41-year-old actor admitted if he was around in the medieval times he would’ve worn a small codpiece – a flap attached to the front of the crotch of men’s trousers to accentuate the genital area – because he wouldn’t need to “over-compensate” for anything.
Speaking on his new BBC Once show ‘Right Royal Family’ – on which he experienced the lives of his Tudor relatives – he said: “In modern times, the flashier the car – the Ferrari – it means that you’re over-compensating for something.

His new show explores his regal lineage and displays the soap actor reliving key moments in his ancestor’s lives.
In the opening episode, Danny went back 35 generations to learn how to fight like a Viking and also adopted the lifestyle of William the Conqueror after he found out he is descended from Louis XI of France, a king who was later made Saint Louis.
Speaking about the programme, he said: “I’m really proud of it actually because it’s just me learning about history with his audience and my relatives. It’s different and it’s got something about it.”

The 27-year-old vlogger – who found love with his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro partner Dianne Buswell on the popular BBC show last year – is said to be wanted for a big production, but that would mean residing in New York and embarking on a long-distance relationship with his 29-year-old girlfriend.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Joe is hot property – there’s been tons of interest in him since ‘Strictly’.
“He’s told friends he would seriously consider a move to the Big Apple, but that could affect him and Dianne.
“He’s very serious about her – but she has other commitments in other countries, it could be tricky.
“He’ll have to think about his plans carefully.”
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pair first announced they were in a relationship after the final of the BBC competition, making things official by sharing intimate snaps together over Instagram.
Joe claimed he didn’t mind losing out in the BBC One show’s final because finding love was a better prize.
He wrote: “I may not have won the glitter ball, but I’ve won something a million times more special. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards hasn’t met Jesy Nelson’s boyfriend Chris Hughes – but says he “seems really nice”.
The Little Mix band member and former ‘Love Island’ star confirmed they are dating when they were spotted kissing in a takeaway in south London, last week, but Perrie is not willing to “spill the beans” on her bandmate’s relationship.
When asked by Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast if she has met the 26-year-old hunk, she replied: “Nope, I haven’t.”
When a shock Roman replied: “You haven’t met him yet? He’s a lovely boy”, she said: “Yeah, no, he seems really nice but I can’t spill the beans on my best friend I’m afraid.”
Roman was wondering whether or not the couple will make their red carpet debut at the BRIT Awards on February 20.
He had started off by asking: “Are you allowed to bring dates to the BRIT Awards?”, to which Perrie replied: “Yeah of course! We get one ticket each.”
He then explained: “Now the reason why I ask this, Perrie, is that we have to obviously bring it up – there was a rumour that there’s a new man in Jesy’s life, a friend of the show, Mr Chris Hughes?”
The new couple were seen smooching in a kebab shop in the Elephant & Castle area, following a date at ‘Harry Potter’-themed magical bar The Cauldron in the UK capital.
After having drinks, the pair decided to get some food from the nearby eatery, but they couldn’t resist having a kiss and they even playfully poked their tongues out at one point to have a naughty lick of each other’s tongues.
Although it is said to be “very early days” between Jesy and Chris an onlooker on the night insisted the pair were “really affectionate” and could barely concentrate on their food.
An onlooker said: “They couldn’t keep their mitts off one another. They kept pausing mid-sentence to snog, and were really affectionate. It may be early days but there’s definitely a real spark.”
The ‘Woman Like Me’ hitmaker has been single since splitting with Harry James last November and Jesy was previously engaged to Rixton star Jake Roche from July 2015 until late 2016.
Chris found fame and love with Olivia Attwood on the 2017 series of ‘Love Island’, with the couple finishing in third place.
However, outside of the villa the couple’s relationship hit the rocks and they split in February 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Reid was “shocked” to find out ‘EastEnders’ were recasting the role of Ben Mitchell – because he was told they wouldn’t be doing so.
The 26-year-old actor – who played the character from 2014 until January 2018 – was informed by the soap’s bosses that Max Bowden would be the sixth actor to take on the role, just one week before the news went public on Monday (21.01.19).
He said: “They told me that they were going to recast him about a week before it was announced.
“To be honest, I was shocked because I didn’t expect that they were going to recast the role. I was told that they weren’t going to recast.”
However, Harry insists he wasn’t “upset” by the news, but it does spell the end of his time in Albert Square, which he admits is “a shame” and “frustrating” because he loves the character.
He added to Digital Spy: “At the same time, it didn’t upset me, which is what a lot of the fans are saying.
“This is business and this is the game that we’re in. The acting industry is very cut-throat.
“I’ve said before that I didn’t come into this industry to play one part, because I love exploring different characters’ lives and personalities.
“All it’s done is closed that door fully, whereas before it was half open. But doors do close and then other ones open.
“It is a shame and it is frustrating because I still love the character of Ben. For me he’s one of the most exciting characters to play on the Square.”
Harry has wished Max well in the role, but some fans have poked fun at the news after the character was recast for a sixth time.
Comedian Matt Lucas took to Twitter this week to joke he is “next week’s Ben Mitchell”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Steph Waring is trying “to be more grateful” in life after visiting Iraq.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress visited refugee camps in Iraqi Kurdistan with her charity Bring Hope Humanitarian last year, and since returning from the region she has “definitely changed personally”.
She said: “I’ve been to Iraq with my charity, Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation to visit the refugee camps out there and that was a real privilege to do.
“I’ve definitely changed personally since doing that and I’m trying to be more grateful for everything that I’ve got.
“Also, I’ve just been spending time with my girls and on myself really, by giving myself the space that you need when you’re working so much. It’s always nice to rejuvenate yourself, get fit and be kind to yourself, when you’re away from the set.”
Steph – who plays Cindy Cunningham on the Channel 4 soap – recently vowed to return to the area in 2019, because she wants to help the refugees “any way” she can.
When asked if she head back to the region, the 40-year-old actress said: “Absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt I will be back next year.
“I want to continue this, I really want to fight for them, and help in any way I can.”
During her visit, Steph spoke to Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad’s sister, who told how her brothers were murdered and the women were sold as sex slaves after their village was invaded by ISIS.
Steph said: “I’ve come back with a sense of knowing now, because I was quite ignorant to what was going on in these war-torn countries.
“It’s not something I’ve ever thought about. It’s quite sad to think that.
“I’ve brought it home with me.”
