Paris Jackson is very happy

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Jackson is the “happiest and healthiest” she has been for “a long time”.
The 20-year-old actress – who reportedly checked into a treatment centre last month to focus on her physical and emotional health – has dismissed recent rumours she’d had a “meltdown” following the release of a controversial new documentary about her late father, Michael Jackson, and insisted things couldn’t be going better for her.
She tweeted: “There’s no meltdown, no ‘losing [my] s**t,’ or being demanding of anyone.
“Please don’t believe what you read. just bc i was spotted grabbing coffee in LA after taking a nice long break from the chaotic media for some reason makes ‘journalists’ think they can run wild with my name.
“I said it before and i’ll say it again, i’m the happiest and healthiest i’ve been in a long time (sic)”
Paris recently confirmed she was taking a step back out of the spotlight because things had been getting “too much” for her.
She wrote: “yes i’ve taken a break from work and social media and my phone because it can be too much sometimes, and everyone deserves a break, but i am happy and healthy and feeling better than ever! gabriel and i have some new music we’re stoked to share with y’all! (@thesoundflowers) hope you guys’ new year started out with lots of love and light and all the things. i’ll be back soon!! xxox (sic)”
Her comments come after news outlets reported she had stepped away from the spotlight in order to enter a treatment facility.
An insider said: “She decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritise her physical and emotional health. She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan.”
Paris had previously opened up about her battle with depression and says it stemmed from hanging out with “a lot of older people doing a lot of crazy things”.
She explained: “I was doing a lot of things that 13-, 14-, 15-year-olds shouldn’t do. I tried to grow up too fast, and I wasn’t really that nice of a person. I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like teen, angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”

Roxanne Pallett didn’t want to live

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxanne Pallett “didn’t want to be here anymore” following her controversial appearance on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress accused housemate Ryan Thomas of hitting her but admitted she’d made a “horrible mistake” after leaving the show, and the subsequent backlash saw her sink so low, she considered taking her own life and even wrote farewell notes to her loved ones.
She said: “My mum noticed I was losing weight and saw I was losing my hair. And my two friends, the only friends I had left, mentioned how erratic my texts were becoming. They all stepped in..
“The lead up to Christmas was tough.
“[In October] I asked God to help me. I thought: everyone hates me so why am I here. I just couldn’t get through a day, I had nothing and I had no-one and it was all because I’d let things get out of hand. I’d ignored the signs that I needed help because i felt too proud. I only have myself to blame for that.
“You feel like you can never say sorry enough to every single person that hates you and I felt like there was no point in even trying anymore as the perception had become so bad. I just thought, I’m done. I’m not going to make it to Christmas.
“I sent a message to my mum, my auntie and my two friends. I was saying sorry and goodbye. They all panicked, called each other and my mum left work to rush and get to me.”
Roxanne’s loved ones intervened and sent her for “urgent help” and she has undergone therapy after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) stemming from issues in her past including an abusive relationship and the suicide of a friend.
She added: “That was when they all realised I needed urgent help. I went to Scotland the next morning and began EMDR and CBT therapy for PTSD and panic disorder.”
The 36-year-old actress – who didn’t leave the house for weeks because of the abuse she received in the street – admitted she “lost everything” following the scandal but she doesn’t want people to feel sorry for her.
She told The Sun Online: “Yes I’ve lost everything, and I lost myself.
“I’ve lost my career, my radio jobs, my life as I knew it, everything. I’ve only got my mum, my auntie and two friends now who I trust implicitly.
“Sometimes it takes losing everything to see who stays around for you during your worst days and not just the best days. I’m grateful for those people but I did hit rock bottom.
“But I don’t expect anyone to feel sorry for me, because it’s my fault, 100%. I take full responsibility. But like everyone who makes a mistake I just want to be allowed to learn from it and move forward because nobody can punish me more than me.”

Danny Dyer eyed for boxing match with Jack Fincham

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is set to fight Jack Fincham in a charity boxing match.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor is reportedly being lined up to face the ‘Love Island’ star – who is dating his daughter, Dani Dyer – in the ring for Boxing With the Stars in June.
And despite his hardman image, Danny may have a tough battle on his hands because 26-year-old Jack is a “bit of a pro” as he’s practised the sport for years.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Jack’s a bit of a pro in the ring, having boxed for most of his adult life.
“Organisers want to give him a real challenge and know coming head to head with Danny would give him the ultimate jitters.
“This time the match will be televised. It would be guaranteed viewing gold and raise tons for charity in the process.”
However, bosses are worried things could get “serious” if the former stationery salesman has any relationship issues in the coming months.
The source added: “The only concern at the moment is what would happen if Jack and Dani were to split up again. It could all get a bit serious.”
Jack has already signed up for the charity boxing event and is in training, with organisers determined to land the 41-year-old actor as his opponent.
Boxing With the Stars was set up by Danny’s ‘EastEnders’ co-star Jake Wood, who plays hardman Max Branning, during a break from the soap in 2016.
Danny recently admitted he “got it wrong” when he told his daughter not to appear on ‘Love Island’ because he was very proud of her on the reality show.
He said: “She is a beautiful little soul. I did tell her not to do [‘Love Island’]… but I got it wrong… She did it with grace and dignity.
“She did find a geezer, but she didn’t do none of that [sex on the show]… I said to her, ‘If you’re going to do it, win it.’
“She is quite a vulnerable little thing and I think she showed that vulnerability, she is a normal kid. I think people because of me had a perception of her, but she was anything but that.”

Rosamund Pike got chemistry lessons before Marie Curie role

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosamund Pike was tutored by a chemistry teacher four times a week before shooting her role as Marie Curie.
The 40-year-old actress stars as the legendary scientist – who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity and was the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize – in the upcoming biopic ‘Radioactive’ and the ‘Gone Girl’ star revealed that she “went back to school” to prepare for the film.
In an interview with Stylist magazine, she said: “When I was playing Marie Curie, I had a chemistry teacher come to my house four times a week.
“I went back to school and it was wonderful. I think it’s very important that we understand that the brain is a muscle that we can train.”
The movie is an adaptation of the novel by Lauren Redniss and will centre on the relationship between the scientist and her husband Pierre Curie, and while the flick is primarily a love story, Rosamund was keen on giving a real portrayal of Curie and insisted she “didn’t need to be liked”.
She said: “Marie Curie was an astonishing person. I love her because she didn’t need to be liked. It’s a gutsy quality in a woman when they don’t have to please people. I’ve really taken that to heart.
“Marie didn’t need to be liked. I’ve taken that idea to heart in my performance. In the first moments of the film, I’m not asking you to think ‘Oh isn’t she lovely’ I’m making you think ‘Oh actually she’s quite difficult’. She had one of the finest minds in the country and she wasn’t afraid to say it.
“I love it when someone can say they’re the smartest person in the room. It’s so not how we’re trained to behave.”

Zara Larsson didn’t want another duet

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara Larsson refused to make ‘Ruin My Life’ a duet.
The 21-year-old pop star’s latest single was supposed to feature both a male and female voice but she didn’t want to follow ‘Never Forget You’ – which she collaborated on with MNEK – with something that sounded similar because she wants people to know who she is.
She told Billboard’s ‘Pop Shop’ podcast: “I didn’t want to do a duet, because the last time I did a song, my biggest one in America, that was a duet.
“I thought to myself, I just wanted to release a song, just me. If it’s going to be my single, I want people to know who I am.
” A lot of the times, people have heard my song, any of the singles, but not necessarily know who I am. If they see a picture of me, they don’t put two and two together. I wanted to put my face out there.”
And Zara admitted she made a number of changes to the lyrics of the song because it was initially about an extremely “toxic” situation and felt “really tragic”.
She explained: “When I looked at the lyrics, it felt really tragic — this passionate back-and-forth almost argument in the song.
“And now that we took away the guy, it was just a really, really sad girl. We switched up a few things — it talks about a toxic relationship, knowing someone isn’t good for you, but you really, really want this person back. That and the [original] topic of the song was a bit too much, and I’m very cautious about what I talk about.
“I felt that it was a great song, but I wanted to make it more emotionally sad than actual physical violence.”
The Swedish singer was determined the accompanying music video was “glamorous” and stayed away from the obvious.
She said: “It was hard finding a concept for this video that wasn’t, like, me laying in bed crying over this guy.
“I didn’t want it to be that. I wanted it to be more glamorous.”

Cheryl Tweedy comforted emotional Oti Mabuse

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Tweedy comforted Oti Mabuse after she locked herself in a toilet and cried after having to choose her three final acts for ‘The Greatest Dancer’.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional barricaded herself in a loo and could only be coaxed out by co-star Cheryl after she struggled to say goodbye to some of her acts on the BBC dance show.
Oti told the Daily Mirror: “The eliminations were so hard for me. It took me about an hour to come out as I was crying in the bathroom and I didn’t want to do it.
“Choosing the acts was great but it was saying ‘no’ which was horrible. It was Cheryl who sat me down and had a talk with me and calmed me down.”
However, Oti is excited about the live shows which start on Saturday (02.02.19) as she no longer has to choose who gets eliminated.
She said: “They are different because I don’t have to say ‘no’ to anyone. I just want to enjoy the show and the acts. I love the entire top nine.
“I’m ambitious. I think one of my acts should win ‘The Greatest Dancer’. They work really hard and I believe in them that they have something very special.
“I absolutely feel protective over all of them. I feel responsible. When you are on Strictly, you get a celebrity and you have to calm them down, but that’s one person.
“Now you have the responsibility of three acts and some are children.”
Cheryl agrees that Oti is competitive but says her co-star gets away with it because she is “cute”.
She recently said: “I love Oti. But she is way more competitive than me.
“She was the one stealing acts off of the table and hiding them from us.
“The thing is, she is so cute she gets away with it.
“Me and Mathew Morrison loved more of the same people and fought it out more to be honest.”

New David Bowie doc highlights career failures

OHMYGOSSIP — David Bowie was blasted by the BBC as an “amateur-sounding vocalist who sings wrong notes and out of tune”.
A new documentary, ‘David Bowie: Finding Fame’, is set to air on BBC Two next week and will chart the music icon’s rocky path to fame and the pitfalls and criticism he faced along the way, including the BBC’s disparaging comments about him in 1965.
Filmmaker Francis Whately calls the documentary a tribute to Bowie’s enduring legacy, explaining to The Guardian: “It shows an icon in rude health, really, that we can make a whole film about someone’s lack of success.”
In 1965, David and his group The Lower Third auditioned for the BBC and recorded three songs, James Brown’s ‘Out of Sight’, Bowie’s ‘That’s a Promise’ and, ‘Chim Chim Cher-ee’ from Mary Poppins.
A researcher for the new documentary discovered the verdict of the BBC’s “talent selection group” and their comments have been included in the new film.
They included comments such as: “I don’t think the group will get better with more rehearsal – what we heard will always be the product,” and “The treatment of Chim Chim Cher-ee kills the song completely. Instead of being bright and gay the song becomes a sad ballad. The singer is a cockney type but not outstanding enough.”
And the talent selection group was particularly unimpressed with Bowie, stating: “There is no entertainment in anything they do. It’s just a group and very ordinary, too, backing a singer devoid of personality.”
‘David Bowie: Finding Fame’ will air on BBC Two Saturday 9 February at 9pm.

Victoria Beckham wants her daughter to be the ‘kindest girl in the class’

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham wants her daughter to be “kind”.
The 44-year-old fashion designer – who has Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, and 13-year-old Cruz with husband David Beckham – wants her little girl to understand that treating people well is a much better quality than being the prettiest or smartest person in the room.
Speaking about seven-year-old Harper, she said to Grazia magazine: “I say to Harper all the time, it’s not about who is the prettiest girl in the class, it’s not about who is the smartest girl in the class, it’s about who is the kindest girl in the class.
“And it’s about feeling good about yourself, celebrating that and supporting other women.”
The former Spice Girls singer has always raised her kids in a “pro-female” household.
Asked if she has encouraged her boys to help empower women, she said: “Yes definitely. David and I have always communicated that message with the boys too – it’s always been very important to us.
“It’s always been a very pro-female household, even when we were outnumbered. And now we have two female dogs, we’re evening things out a little.”
While Victoria admitted she can be very “critical” of herself, she has accepted herself and her flaws and just tries to “make the most” of her attributes.
She said: “Working out is a huge part of my life.
“Like most women, I am pretty critical of myself. But I am 44 years old, I’ve got a herd of kids at home, I accept the way that I look and I make the most out of what I’ve got.
“I think that, as women, we should learn to take compliments and be kind to ourselves as well as each other.”

Nina Dobrev’s adventurous bucket list

OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Dobrev has an adventurous bucket list now she has turned 30.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ star reached the milestone birthday last month and has revealed she wants to go skydiving, swim with sharks and climb Everest in the next few years.
Asked what is on her bucket list, she said: “Skydiving, rock climbing, Everest, bungee jumping, swim with great whites, Bali. I add to it anytime something cool pops up that I want to do.”
Whilst Nina is quite an adventurous person, she admits she found it scary performing in front of a live audience on the set of her new sitcom, ‘Fam’.
She shared to W magazine: “The very first live show was absolutely terrifying, and I felt like I was going to die. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that much anxiety in my life. But with every show after that, it went away a little bit more and more, to the point where it is still there … This was an opportunity that came up, and I had never done a sitcom before. I’m a massive fan of Friends, and the genre had really intrigued me, but I didn’t know much about it … I was a little apprehensive [about returning to television] at first, but honestly, finding a great character and great people that you want to work with is such a blessing.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty previously admitted she loves the challenge of staying in shape and eating healthily.
She said: “I’m getting older and more conscious of what I eat and how I eat it and what I do. Doing something different [each day] has been the most fun, and I’ve seen the most benefit because you shock your system.”

Chris Pratt considering winter wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt is thinking about a “fall, winter” wedding.
The ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’ star has revealed he and his fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger haven’t “really” figured out many details for their upcoming nuptials but were considering a wedding towards the end of the year.
He said: “We’re maybe [thinking of a] fall, winter kind of thing. We have a lot to get done.”
And Chris has revealed his six-year-old son Jack, who he has with his ex-wife Anna Faris, is excited about the wedding.
Speaking to reporters at ‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part’ premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday (03.02.19), he also revealed Jack is “so thrilled” about the upcoming wedding.
Chris announced his engagement to Katherine last month.
Sharing a romantic snap of the pair on Instagram with Katherine’s engagement ring on show, Chris wrote: “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”
Whilst Katherine wrote in her own post: “My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you.”
And Anna is thrilled for the couple and has even offered to officiate their wedding.
Speaking at the time, she said: “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, you know, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,’ I was like ‘Ah! That’s amazing.’ And I texted him back, ‘Just want to remind you, I’m an ordained minister.’
“I so subscribe to the idea of expanding family and love with Jack, I’m just so happy. We’re all really happy. I knew that it was going to happen, I love her, and I love him, and I’m just so happy that they found each other. They’re both f***ing amazing people, the truth is there isn’t any bitterness.”

Roger Mathews denies JWoww’s allegations

OHMYGOSSIP — Roger Matthews insists he is not a “monster”.
The 42-year-old businessman has spoken out against allegations made by his estranged wife Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley, who claimed he had been abusive, teamed up with her ex-boyfriends to extort her and put their children, Meilani, four, and two-year-old Greyson, at risk, and insisted he is “saddened” by her claims.
He wrote on his website in a post titled ‘A Message to Jenni’: “I am extremely saddened. Saddened, as I lay here next to both of our children that we could not have found a better way to handle our differences. You and your post have made me a monster.”
In a lengthy post of her own a few days ago, the ‘Jersey Shore’ star shared a video which seemed to show Roger pushing her over, and he’s confirmed that it’s him in the clip, but claimed it had been edited to remove his estranged wife’s own “violent behaviour”.
He added: “I want to say right here, and right now that did not give me the right to push you, and for that I am sorry, and I apologised at the time too…
“I am not this monster you paint me to be. I repeat you have never once ever conveyed to anyone I was ever physical in any way to you. I’m confident you could find a few people now that will claim you did, but it would be because you asked them to lie for you.”
Roger went on to dismiss Jenni’s other claims, including that he fed Greyson pizza despite being “highly allergic” to dairy and gluten, insisting the youngster doesn’t have such dietary issues and maintained he wasn’t part of an extortion attempt from a former partner, though he confirmed he had spoken to two of her exes, claiming they shared accounts of abusive behaviour from the 32-year-old star.
He claimed Jenni made her allegations against him after she rejected his request for equal custody of the children.
He wrote: “That’s when you decided to write your rant that you posted for the world to see and painted me as a monster and an abuser…
“You have never said I’m a bad father, not once. Until now. Until 2 days after we reject your proposed custody offer. Seems peculiar how now I’m this violent abuser after 8 years together where not one soul ever heard that before and I’m a bad father.
“I will never stop fighting for my children and I will not have my name tarnished by a habitual offender and abuser of both men and the legal system. I will not stand for it. I am ready for that war and have always put my full faith and trust in the truth.
“You are not the person you claim to be. You’re a master manipulator who must be stopped. I worry for my kids in your care. I do. You need help.”

Rami Malek had ‘not pleasant’ experience with Bryan Singer

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek has admitted he found working with Bryan Singer “not pleasant”.
The 37-year-old actor didn’t think anyone expected the director to be fired from ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ in the middle of production but he felt it “had” to happen.
Asked about his experiences working with the director on the movie during a discussion with The Hollywood Reporter at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, he said: “I’ve sat here and talked about how everyone deserves a voice and anyone who wants to talk about what happened with Bryan deserves to have their voice heard.
“In my situation with Bryan, it was not pleasant, not at all. And that’s about what I can say about it at this point.
“For anyone who is seeking any solace in all of this, Bryan Singer was fired. Bryan Singer was fired, I don’t think that was something anyone saw coming but I think that had to happen and it did.”
Bryan – who still has the directing credit on the film – was replaced by Dexter Fletcher when he was sacked in December 2017 amid reports of conflict between himself and his lead actor, as well as accusations of sexual misconduct, which he has repeatedly denied.
Rami has also offered his support to the men who have accused the 58-year-old filmmaker of inappropriate sexual behaviour.
He said: “My heart goes out to anyone who has to live through anything like what I’ve heard and what is out there. It’s awful, it’s remarkable that this happens, I can appreciate so much what they’ve been through and how difficult this must be for them. In the light of the #MeToo era that this somehow seems to exist after that, it’s a horrible thing.”

Robin Wright had show responsibility

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Wright felt a “responsibility” to finish ‘House of Cards’ after Kevin Spacey was sacked.
The 52-year-old actress – who was an executive producer on the political drama – was worried about what would happen to the programme after her co-star was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple men and she was thrilled Netflix decided to “resume [production] and finish off the way we always intended” following a production hiatus.
Asked if she felt what had happened was a betrayal of trust, she said: “No, not at all. The climate at the time was very hot and there was a lot of shock in the world and what do we do with this information?
“It was sensitive, and we really needed to ruminate on it and go, ‘What do we do with this? We’ve got 600 people employed here, we’ve got a show that the fans are expecting us to finish, and that’s a responsibility.’ ”
Robin – who has children Dylan and Hopper with ex-husband Sean Penn and married third husband Clement Giraudet last summer – recalled a humiliating experience from her modelling days where she was treated like a “thing”, making her vow to take control of her own “path”.
She told You magazine: “It was in Paris, there was a casting call, and it was, ‘OK, come on, girls, get in line’.
“I thought we were just going in to meet the photographer – he’s still a huge photographer today – and the cattle got in the line and we went in one by one. I remember seeing the girl in front of me – I was peeking around the corner – and they were, like, ‘Take off your shirt.’ She took off her shirt, she showed her breasts and they were, like, ‘Next.’ I had to go in and he went, ‘They’re too small’ because my boobs were too small.
“I remember the humiliation. You are a commodity, a thing. After that, getting into commercials and movies, I didn’t want to feel that any more, so you start to design your own path.”

Jeremy Kyle makes wedding plan

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Kyle is getting married next year.
The 53-year-old presenter got engaged to his former nanny, Vicky Burton, in January 2018 and now they are planning to tie the knot in the Caribbean and have told their loved ones to keep some time in summer 2020 free.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Jeremy has been telling those closest to make sure they are available next summer as that is when he is looking to marry.
“The pair haven’t confirmed an exact date but have started thrashing out plans – with the Caribbean being one of their main destination choices.
“But what is important to them is having their friends and family at the bash, if it is abroad they just have to firm up all the logistics. But for the moment it’s looking like it will be somewhere tropical.”
Jeremy – who has 27-year-old Harriet with first wife Kirsty Rowley and Alice, 15, Ava, 13, and Henry, nine with second spouse Carla Germaine – owns a house in Barbados, where he and Vicky regularly holiday, so it’s seen as the likely destination for the wedding.
The ‘Jeremy Kyle Show’ host was married to Carla for 13 years but they split in September 2015 and she cited his “unreasonable behaviour” for the divorce.
He then became an item with Vicky 15 months later and confirmed his new romance during an appearance on ‘Loose Women’ in February 2017.
Jeremy said at the time: “It’s a new relationship, a new chapter. I’m very happy thank you very much, let’s move on with our lives.”
But Jeremy’s new relationship with Vicky hit a nerve with Carla and she said at the time that she was “shocked” by news because she looked after her kids for years.
She said: “I’m in shock – she was my nanny for nine years, she looked after my babies.”

Daniel Day-Lewis ignored Richard E Grant

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Day-Lewis refused to “acknowledge” Richard E. Grant for “three months”.
The ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ actor felt like he owed his success to the Oscar-winning star because he landed his career-making role in ‘Withnail and I’ after Daniel turned down the part of Withnail, but his gratitude when they worked together on ‘The Age of Innocence’ five years later was met with a minimal response.
Recalling how he threw himself to Daniel’s feet, Richard said: ‘I said, ‘Oh Daniel, I owe you my career.’ And he said, ‘Arise!’
“Then he didn’t acknowledge me for the next three months because his character hated my character and he’s a method actor.
“Michelle Pfeiffer said to me, ‘It’s nothing that you’ve done personally – this is the way he works.’ ”
Richard is up for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.
However, the 62-year-old star is comfortable with the fact he’s expecting ‘Green Book’ star Mahershala Ali to take the honour.
