Serena Williams: Duchess Meghan will be the best mom

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams thinks her friend Duchess Meghan will be “the best mom”.
The 37-year-old tennis champion – who has 20-month-old daughter Olympia with husband Alexis Ohanian – has been pals with the former ‘Suits’ actress since 2014, and she’s confident she is going to take to motherhood easily when she welcomes her first child with husband Prince Harry into the world in the coming weeks.
Asked how she will cope with parenthood, Serena said: “She’ll be the best mom, for sure.”
The sports superstar – who attended Meghan’s New York baby shower in February, along with the likes of Amal Clooney, Gayle King and Jessica Mulroney – also opened up about the challenges of being a first-time mom and how she had to learn to “go with the flow” and adapt to living day-to-day without too much planning to avoid causing unnecessary stress.
She added to E! News: “Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.
“I had all those high expectations and what I was going to do and then I had what I was going to do.
“I was gonna recover and I was gonna be great, and this is a time that everything is not going to go as planned.
“My whole life is so planned and this is the one time where it wasn’t. You just gotta go with the flow.”
The 37-year-old royal – who tied the knot with 34-year-old Harry on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in front of their famous friends and the royal family – previously gushed about her friendship with Serena and how they met during a charity football game in a post on her old blog The Tig.
She wrote: “We hit it off immediately, taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing in, and chatting not about tennis or acting, but about all the good old fashioned girly stuff.
“So began our friendship.”

Sophie Turner reveals Maisie Williams will be her maid of honour

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner says Maisie Williams will be her maid of honour at her wedding.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress has picked her co-star – and on screen sister – for the important role by her side when she ties the knot with fiance Joe Jonas, so she was baffled when her pal said she’d been looking for an outfit for the ceremony as Sophie has something lined up for her to wear.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ at the show’s season eight premiere on Wednesday (03.04.19): “I don’t know why she’s thinking about [what she’s wearing to my wedding]. I’m giving her the bridesmaid dress! She’s my maid of honor! One of two.”
Sophie, 23, and Maisie, 21, have grown up together on the show, having first appeared as Sansa and Arya Stark respectively a decade ago.
While it was always going to be emotional at the launch event for the final season, the star was happy to have fiance Joe by her side.
She said: “It means so much to have him here, it’s just like, the best support, the best person to calm me down and keep me calm, and if I end up crying, I have a shoulder to cry on. So, it’s good. I’m so happy that he’s here.”
Meanwhile, Sophie has previously opened up about the close bond she shares with Maisie, and admitted while they used to “sneak a kiss” into shoots to put off other actors, they have also been mistaken for a couple in the past.
She revealed: “People always think Maisie and I are a couple. I mean, I am obsessed with her, so you never know … I’ve got an addiction to Maisie Williams. I actually stalk her hashtag on Instagram!
“Even though we are sisters [in ‘Game of Thrones’], we tried to sneak a kiss into every scene we did together to freak everyone out a bit. It kept them on their toes’ making sure they were following the script.”

EastEnders’ Max Bowden wasn’t told he was playing Ben Mitchell

OHMYGOSSIP — Max Bowden didn’t know he had landed the role of Ben Mitchell when he first found out he was joining ‘EastEnders’.
The 24-year-old actor made his debut as Ben this week, making him the sixth actor to play the character, and while Max was delighted when he was cast in the BBC One soap, he was unsure who he would be playing at the time.
He said: “When I found out I got the part I actually wasn’t told I was playing Ben.
“I was told that I was playing someone else because there was a lot of privacy stuff that was going on with it.
“But when I found out I was going into ‘EastEnders’, I was with a girl that I was seeing at the time having champagne breakfast.”
‘EastEnders’ viewers are unsure what exactly Ben is up to, but Max admits he is “playing a dangerous game”.
He added: “Ben’s playing a dangerous game I think, I think he’s not really worried about who he can let down along the way.
“It’s about finally taking what’s rightfully his, whatever that may be.”
Danielle Harold – who has returned to ‘EastEnders’ as Lola Pearce alongside Ben, who is the father of her daughter Lexi – added: “She is going to cause a lot of trouble, her and Ben.”
While Max admits it is “exciting” joining one of the soap’s most famous families, he feels “a lot of expectation” about the role.
Speaking in a joint video on the ‘EastEnders’ Twitter account, he added: “I think, coming into the most, probably famous family in ‘EastEnders’, is very exciting because I’m literally related to everyone.
“I’ve got a relationship and a history with nearly every character on the Square.
“It makes it daunting for sure, as there’s a lot of expectation, and the audience expectation is going to be very high but it’s very exciting.”

The adorable Beagle Basset Hound cross – a “very inquisitive” boy who loves long walks – will make his debut on Thursday (04.04.19) as viewers of the CBBC show get their first look at the newest addition to the team.

“He’s already met the crew, had a good sniff around, and seems to love it. Pets have always been such an important part of ‘Blue Peter’ and it’s so exciting to be welcoming the latest one to the show.”
New pooch Henry – who was adopted from Dogs Trust – is the latest in a long line of pets on the programme, including nine other dogs, five tortoises, nine cats and two parrots.
Viewers will see his story, as he leaves the re-homing centre and adapts to family life in a new home, before making his first visit to the offices and studio.
On this week’s episode, CBBC’s ‘Pets Factor’ vet Rory Cowlam is set to give him a check-up live on air to make sure he’s fit and healthy.
Henry follows his cute predecessor Barney – also from Dogs Trust – who was adopted in 2009 by then-presenter Helen Skelton.
Back in 1962, ‘Blue Peter’ introduced its first furry friend Petra – who has since been immortalised as a statue in the show’s garden at MediaCityUK in Salford – while Shep’s stint, which began in 1971, will also be memorable for many viewers.

Skins star Mitch Hewer reveals mental health struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Mitch Hewer has opened up about his mental health battle after “hiding away” from life in the public eye.
The former ‘Skins’ actor – who played Maxxie Oliver between 2007 and 2008 – decided to take a step back from the likes of YouTube and Instagram after struggling with “depression and anxiety” following a string of personal and professional “set backs”.
In a candid Instagram post, he wrote: “For many years now people always ask me why I stopped posting, being active online or why I stopped my YouTube channel and decide to hide.
“The answer is something had been creeping up on me and my ability to be creative started to lack more and more every day, insecurity took the place of confidence and my self belief and self esteem slowly drifted away.
“Those things that had been knocking on my door were depression and anxiety. I had experienced more set backs in my personal life and more rejections from work than I could handle. The only thing I knew what to do was to hide away, so I did.”
The 29-year-old star continues to struggle with OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) “every day”, but he “finally decided to stop listening” to voices questioning why he’s here.
He added: “Don’t get me wrong, this didn’t happen over night, wasn’t as easy as turning off a light, it took a very long time. I’d been in a dark place, the darkest.
“So to fast forward to right now, I am not perfect, I am far from perfect and in all honesty I don’t wanna be perfect anymore, it was exhausting. I realised there’s a reason to be here.
“Life is a beautiful gift, you just have to let yourself see it. Acknowledge the small things that bring you joy in each day, Don’t look for happiness because you will fail, just notice the little things that make you smile and feel alive. (sic)”

Michelle Gomez wants Doctor Who return

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Gomez wants to return to ‘Doctor Who’ to face off against new Time Lord Jodie Whittaker.
The 52-year-old actress paved the way for Jodie, 36, to become the first woman to play the Doctor when she was cast by former showrunner Steven Moffat as Missy, the female incarnation of villainous Time Lord The Master.
Michelle bowed out of the role in some style alongside Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi in Series 10 finale ‘Extremis’, but she’s definitely interested in returning if new boss Chris Chibnall wants the two Time Ladies to fight it out.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Michelle – who played Missy in ‘Doctor Who’ in Series Eight and Series Nine too – said: “Oh gosh yeah of course I would, I’d love to have a little run around with her. I don’t know if that’s ever gonna happen but I’m completely open to it, and I’d love to see Missy come back in and just get to play again. I don’t know how that’s going to work but I’m always open to offers.”
Michelle is currently starring in new Netflix supernatural series ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ star and she’s been very pleased with the response to the programme and the rapidly growing fan base it has.
However, the Scottish actress admits the programme – which features Kiernan Shipka as the titular half-human half-witch character – has a long way to go until its fandom can compare to ‘Doctor Who’.
She said: “I don’t think any fandom can quite compare to the ‘Doctor Who’ fandom, who I am eternally loyal to and grateful for.
“I mean, that fandom has grown up over 50 years, from generation to generation to generation. ‘Sabrina’ fandom is definitely this generation, because it was born in this generation. It seems to be as passionate as the ‘Doctor Who’ fans for sure, but, you know, it’s just the beginning for ‘Sabrina’, and we have a long way to go. We seem to be earning that intense loyalty, but it’s still in its infancy.”

Simon Cowell feels like Ant McPartlin’s BGT break ‘didn’t happen’

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell feels as though Ant McPartlin’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ break “never happened”.
The 59-year-old music mogul is delighted Ant and Declan Donnelly have reunited to co-host the latest series of the talent show this year – after Ant took some time out of the spotlight last year following a drink-driving conviction, leaving Dec to present the show alone – because he “really did miss him”.
He said: “It’s like it never happened. That’s when you know it’s comfortable because we’re all back together again, we’re friends.
“These things happen, and I really did miss him.”
Simon has been a judge on every ‘BGT’ series, including the upcoming 13th edition, and says Ant – who has co-hosted each season alongside Dec, apart from last year – looks the “happiest” he has seen him for a while.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “It’s the happiest I’ve seen him for a long, long time.”
Simon’s comments come just days after fellow ‘BGT’ judge David Walliams said he felt “really emotional” to see Ant and Dec reunite on the show.
He said: “It was lovely to see when they stepped back on the stage together in London how excited people were to see them together.
“It was really emotional and I was pleased for them. It was just how it always was.
“Ant and Dec are really nice blokes and they are ‘what you see is what you get’ type of people.
“It’s not like they have a persona that’s different to how they are on TV, that’s why people love them so much, they’re just so natural and themselves.
“It was nice being back together. I love being around those two.
“Obviously, I don’t get to do so much with them because we’re on the judges’ table, but I feel a kinship with them because, well, one is I’ve known them for about 25 years because I started off writing for them.”
Fellow judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden have echoed the comedian’s views.
Alesha said: “It’s been like getting the family back together, it just feels normal. We’ve been working together for so long now that when we’re together it just feels right.”
Amanda added: “Oh, this year has been so lovely! The live shows were not the same without him [Ant].”

The Vamps team up with Krept and Konan on Right Now

OHMYGOSSIP — The Vamps have collaborated with rap stars Krept & Konan.
The ‘Can We Dance’ hitmakers – comprised of Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans – have changed direction on ‘Right Now’ with the MOBO Award-winners which follows a series of tropical dance hits, including recent single ‘All The Lies’ with Brazilian DJ Alok and German producer Felix Jaehn.
The new track with the British duo – Casyo ‘Krept’ Johnson and Karl ‘Konan’ Wilson – will feature on the four-piece’s new EP ‘Missing You’, which is released on April 19.
The collaboration came about after Tristan discovered he was neighbours with the pair, and frontman Bradley Simpson says the song will “surprise” both fans of The Vamps and Krept & Konan.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “We met Krept and Konan a couple of years ago at the EMAs.
“We swapped numbers and we’re fans of theirs so we all discussed working together some time.
“Then Tristan found out the guys lived just around the corner from him and texted them asking if they wanted to get together in the studio.
“The track, ‘Right Now’, is about living in the moment, and we are really proud of it. We think it will surprise fans of us and Krept & Konan.”
Despite teaming up with the rappers, The Vamps aren’t done with EDM, as they still want to continue experimenting with their electronic sound and would love to collaborate with The Chainsmokers.
Connor said: “We love to carry on doing collaborations and have a few lined up for the album.
“The Chainsmokers would obviously be great, and we have actually spoken to them a few times before. I really like that new song with 5 Seconds of Summer – it’s really cool.
“Even working with DJs now you can still keep your band sound, keep playing guitars, the bass, or whatever, and it still works, which is really great. We like to keep it fresh, we don’t want to keep doing the same thing, as you get bored, but at this point we just want to make the music that we like and hope that it works for the fans too.”
The band kick off their ‘Four Corners Tour’ in Plymouth on April 27.

Michelle Williams seeing change in Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Williams is seeing real change in Hollywood in the wake of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements.
The 38-year-old actress has said she’s begun to feel like “one of the boys” in her career in recent months thanks to the movements which aim to bring gender equality to the workplace as well as an end to sexual harassment, as she says she no longer receives unwanted advances from Hollywood executives.
She said: “Rather than being grasped too tightly or hugged for too long at the morning meeting my hand was shaken and I was looked squarely in the eye as I was welcome to my Monday morning.
“I realised this is actually what it feels like to be on the inside, to be one of the boys.”
And Michelle – who was paid just $1,000 in comparison to her co-star Mark Wahlberg’s $1.5 million for reshoots of ‘All the Money in the World’ – says she’s even begun receiving the same pay as her male colleagues.
She added: “And on the job I completed two weeks ago – let me tell you something – I was paid equally as my male co-stars.”
The ‘Venom’ star also recalled what happened when her pay gap scandal was uncovered, as she said “no one cared” about the disparity.
Speaking at a rally on Capitol Hill on Tuesday (02.04.19), she said: “And guess what? No one cared. This came as no surprise to me.
“It simply reinforced my life long belief that equality is not an inalienable right. And that women would always be working just as hard for less money while shouldering more responsibility in their homes. If it’s this way for me – a white woman in a glamorised … how were my sisters suffering across their professions?”

Jameela Jamil: Don’t f**k with Demi Lovato

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil has warned critics not to “f**k with” Demi Lovato.
The 33-year-old model and actress has slammed Internet trolls who plague the ‘Sober’ hitmaker with negative comments, particularly about her weight and body image, and has said Demi “deserves so much more respect” for “being a source of strength and light”.
In a post on Instagram, the ‘Good Place’ actress wrote: “Do not f**k with Demi Lovato. She is a queen, and if you think her weight is of any relevance to what she has achieved, or what she has meant to her fans, then you aren’t worthy of even licking the s**t off her Shoes.”
And in the caption, she added: “She deserves so much more respect. We all do. Nothing on earth makes your weight relevant unless you are an MMA fighter/wrestler/suitcase. Thank you to @ddlovato for always being a source of strength and light. (sic)”
Demi, 26, seemed to appreciate the support from her pal too, as she commented on the post to profess her love for Jameela.
She wrote: “I LOVE YOU”, alongside the crying, prayer hands, and heart emojis.
The post comes after the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer stuck up for herself on social media last week, when she responded to critics who commented on her “fuller figure”.
She wrote: “I am more than my weight. Unlike in the past, I am not triggered, I’m not upset that someone wrote a headline about my ‘fuller figure’. I’m angry that people think it’s okay to write headlines about people’s body shapes. Especially a woman who has been so open about being in recovery from an eating disorder. I’m not upset for myself but for anyone easily influenced by the diet culture. Too many people today base their ideal body weight off of what OTHERS tell us we should look like or weigh. Articles like these only contribute to that toxic way of thinking. (sic)”

Kim Kardashian West’s second surrogacy ‘different’ from first

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West’s second experience with surrogacy has been “different” from her first.
The 38-year-old reality star is set to welcome her fourth child, and second via surrogate mother, in just a few weeks, and has said that since changing which surrogate she used to carry her impending arrival, the situation this time around has been vastly different to when she welcomed her daughter Chicago, now 14 months, into the world last January.
She said: “It’s a different experience for sure, this situation is different. I love my surrogate, we have a really good relationship. I really trust her and I definitely see, like, the first time that I went through it, I was a little bit more anxious, and texting more and calling more, and I feel like my surrogate this time around, really is such a protecting person and I really trust that in her.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star – who also has North, five, and Saint, three, with her husband Kanye West – says she feels more “at ease” this time around, because she knows what to expect from the process.
She added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “So, I feel really calm and at ease. I don’t know if it’s a fourth kid thing or, we’ve been through the surrogacy before, you just get a little bit more calm as they go.”
Kim’s comments come after it was recently claimed the beauty – who turned to surrogacy after she was advised against getting pregnant for a third time, following complications with both her pregnancies – was finding it “difficult to prepare mentally” for the new baby.
A source said: “[Kim] feels unprepared, [but] as soon as the baby is born, she will feel better. She thinks it’s difficult to prepare mentally for a new baby.
“Kim and Kanye are both very excited. Chicago grew so quickly, so they are happy about having one last baby in the house. But this is it, they both say. Four kids is the perfect number for them.”

Emilia Clarke ‘went through the mill’ with health scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke “went through the mill” when she suffered two brain aneurysms during ‘Game of Thrones’, according to her co-star Iain Glen.
The 32-year-old actress revealed last month that she’d suffered two life-threatening aneurysms in 2011 after the end of the first season of HBO fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’, on which she plays Daenerys Targaryen.
And her co-star Iain, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, has now praised her for being “so strong” during her health scare.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Iain said: “I did [know about her health struggles]. She went through the mill. I mean, she’s such an amazing lady, and she was so strong, but she had real scares.
“I think when you sort of come out the end of something like that, everything must feel golden. I think the ‘Thrones’ family were great with her. I hope she’d say that, but they shepherded her and looked after her as much as they could.”
Iain’s comments come after Emilia took to social media one week after sharing her story to thank her fans for sending their love and support to her.
She said: “Hi everyone. I had to put a video up to say thank you. The response from my story has been overwhelming and deeply and profoundly moving, so thank you so much.”
Since the health scare, Emilia has helped to set up the charity SameYou – which helps to provide treatment for people recovering from brain injuries and strokes – and has encouraged her fans to share their own recovery stories with the organisation.
In the video clip, the beauty added: “So, you’ve heard my story, and now we would like to hear yours. So please, go to SameYou.org and tell us your recovery story.”

Evan Peters sitting out American Horror Story season nine

OHMYGOSSIP — Evan Peters will be “sitting out” the next season of ‘American Horror Story’.
The 32-year-old actor has revealed he won’t be involved in the upcoming ninth series of Ryan Murphy’s anthology show, which means it will be the first one he’ll miss in the programme’s long run to date.
Speaking to a producer from Extra, he confirmed: “No, I’m going to sit a season out.”
The confirmation he is going to skip a series comes after the star admitted he had become “exhausted” and drained by the dark roles he has taken on during the show’s time on air.
He commented last year: “It’s just exhausting. It’s really mentally draining, and you don’t want to go to those places ever in your life.
“And so you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life. You’re in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you’re like, What the hell? This isn’t who I am.”
More recently, he explained he felt like he needed some time away to work on other things and “decompress”.
He said: “I think it was a full-on burnout. I’m going to take a break, regroup, decompress, get back in touch with what I feel like I want to do. “Not that I didn’t want to do any of those roles – they’re exactly what I wanted to do. It was just zero to 100 instantaneously. I want to play music.”
While Evan won’t be involved, his ex Emma Roberts – who previously appeared in ‘Coven’ (season three), ‘Freak Show’ (season four), ‘Cult’ (season seven) and ‘Apocalypse’ (season eight) -has been confirmed for the upcoming season, with Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy cast as her love interest.
Details about the plot for the upcoming series are being kept under wraps, but it was thought Sarah Paulson will have a role as, like Evan, she has featured in every other installment so far.

Kristen Bell: Balance is a four-letter word

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell says “balance is a four-letter word”.
The ‘Frozen’ actress has opened up about her home life with husband Dax Shepard – with whom she has daughters Lincoln, five, and four-year-old Delta – and revealed that the couple make sure to prioritise “self-care” where possible as she explained the importance of “communication”.
She told E! News: “We try to have the best communication possible. To me, balance is a four-letter word, it’s just such a swear in our house. You’re never gonna feel it.
“You’re never gonna feel balanced or right… [The family has a calendar where] everyone adds their priorities whether that’s ‘I’m going to be home late this night so you gotta know that everything is on you or call a sitter’ or ‘I need some self-care this Saturday.’ ”
She added that from there, they will “try to compromise”.
Meanwhile, Kristen also revealed that the “colour” is the only thing the couple don’t see eye to eye on.
She said: “We don’t see the same colours… We have never agreed on two things: teal or gunmetal grey.
“[But it] does not affect our marriage, though in the moment it seems like you very much need your partner to see the same color as you.
“Once I realized, ‘Oh, he’s colourblind,’ I was able to let it go.”
Having said that, Dax – who has been dating Kristen since 2007, and tied the knot in 2013 – previously said they “had to work really hard” at being a couple, because their personalities are so different.
He insisted: “We definitely had to work really hard at being a couple because we’re both incredibly, painfully stubborn, and we’re pretty much opposites.”

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly earn £12k a day

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly earned £12,000 a day last year, despite Ant spending some of it in rehab.
The presenting duo raked in the impressive amount during the last 12 months even though Ant took time out to focus on his sobriety after a drink driving conviction.
Documents filed for Hurley Promotions Ltd., the company owned by the duo, show their profits were £4.4 million in the last year, which works out to the impressive sum. Figures obtained by The Sun newspaper reveal they made £85,000 a week.
Ant and Dec are set to return to viewers’ screens for the new series of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and one of the show’s judges David Walliams admit he felt “really emotional” by the reunion.

I think it’s because they have a genuine friendship and they are exactly the same off camera as they are on camera.”
