OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek praised British “musical heritage” as he picked up the Best Leading Actor gong at the EE British Academy Film Awards.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ star – who triumphed at the awards ceremony for his role as Freddie Mercury in the movie – thanked the Queen star for his contribution to music as he spoke to the audience gathered at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night (10.02.19).
Speaking as he collected the award, he said: “I still cannot believe that I’m included with this group of actors. It’s quite difficult entering your [British] world with this role, as an outsider. It’s not lost on me how sacred your musical heritage is.”
Rami will hoping to continue his good awards season at the Academy Awards later this month, where he is nominated in the Actor in a Leading Role category.
The 37-year-old actor – who has already picked up a Golden Globe and a SAG Award this year – said: “I guess at that point, you start to consider it. I’m always so thankful that I get to be a working actor. The percentage of people who get to do this is so small that getting accolades like this seems so distant always, whether you’ve received awards in the past or not. But I think perhaps after getting the Globe, it seemed more attainable — but there’s something about hearing the words that you’re an Oscar nominated actor that are still going to be incredibly shocking. It’s a profoundly humbling moment for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Roma’ won Best Film at the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday night (10.02.19).
The Netflix drama took home the top prize at the awards ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall, pipping other nominees ‘BlacKkKlansman’, ‘The Favourite’, ‘Green Book’ and ‘A Star Is Born’ to the post.
Taking to the stage alongside the whole of the ‘Roma’ cast, the film’s director Alfonso Cuarón said: “This time I’m going to read because as you can tell, I blanked and can’t think what to say. I just want to thank Participant Media and Netflix for their faith and courage and I share this award with my amazing cast and crew.”
Alfonso had previously opened up about how he felt the issues dealt with in ‘Roma’ were more universal.
He explained: “Roma has opened up a discussion here and in Mexico about domestic workers. Additionally, in Mexico, they have had a discussion about racism. You have to see some of the comments there, with some people making all these offensive statements about the caravan of migrants. I mean, a sector of the population is repeating pretty much the same words of Trump …
“What I’m saying with this is that, unfortunately, some of the themes and issues dealt with in Roma are not specific to Mexico, just as they are not specific to the US. The relationship between social class and ethnicity; all of that stuff is just everywhere. When I was doing this film I was not trying to do a political film, I was trying to do film a little bit more about existence. So I hope that people, if anything, relate to the sense of existence and absurdity of existence in ‘Roma.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamara Ecclestone is thinking about trying for a second child with husband Jay Rutland.
The 34-year-old Formula One heiress has revealed their four-year-old daughter Sophia – who is nicknamed Fifi – has told them she wants a little sister, and she is “open to the idea” after previously having reservations about expanding their brood.
Speaking to HELLO! Magazine, Tamara spilled: “She’s been talking about how much she wants a sibling, and for the first time I’m open to the idea.
“She really wants a sister, but certainly not a brother – she’s very girlie and thinks boys are smelly.”
Tamara admitted that having another child is a “scary” prospect.
She explained: “Having another baby is obviously scary because it would mean a big change, but I’m definitely up for it.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty revealed that she would just like her husband – who she tied the knot with in a lavish ceremony in 2013, after less than a year of dating – to sign her a card with a loving message inside for Valentine’s Day (14.02.19), after being showered with romantic getaways and surprise dinners in the past.
She said: “One year he organised for a chef to come to the house and prepare my favourite food – pizza, pasta and chocolate mousse. And when I was pregnant with Fifi he whisked me off to Paris.”
On what she’d like this year, she added: “To be honest I’d be happy with a nice card with something lovely written inside.
“He’s very imaginative and thinks of special things which aren’t materialistic but mean the most to me – such as the DVD he made of special moments in our lives and draping a balloon with messages containing all the reasons why he loves me.
“Jay’s very romantic – a keeper.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tag remains in the dark about the mystery of Breda McQueen’s stalker.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor has insisted he doesn’t know the identity of Breda’s stalker – although he’s aware that fans are speculating that it’s actually his own character, Sylver McQueen.
He explained: “I think the writers have done it very well. I understand the reasoning behind why people think that it’s Sylver. I actually don’t know who it is, to be honest. There are a few different people who it could be.
“People seem to believe it’s Sylver, but they think that even though Sylver may know the truth, he’s trying to protect his mother. It’ll definitely be interesting to see who’s following her.”
David also revealed he’s looking forward to his character discovering Breda’s sinister secrets.
The actor described the inevitable storyline as a “really good challenge”.
He told Digital Spy: “When Sylver first found out that Breda wasn’t his mum at Christmas, that was one of the biggest challenges that I’ve had as an actor.
“I really got into that storyline and the director George Siougas was excellent – he brought out a different side to Sylver.
“I’m really looking forward to Sylver finding out that Breda is a serial killer. I’m very excited to take that on, because I think it’ll be a really good challenge and really exciting for the show.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward has been cast in new horror movie ‘Skendleby’.
The former ‘X Factor’ champion – who won the singing competition in 2005 and went on to appear on soap ‘Coronation Street’ – will star alongside Mark Jackson and Niamh McGrady in the British thriller.
As reported by Variety, he has joined the cast as archaeologist Dr. Giles Glover, with filming set to start in the UK next April.
The movie – which will feature an all-British cast – follows the story of an ancient curse in the Skendelby Hall estate.
Shayne said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining a great cast and crew on an exciting new British film.
“The script is brilliant and I can’t wait to get going.”
The film will be produced by Rebekah Louisa Smith’s new Doctor Rebekah Productions company.
Speaking about the studio’s goals, she explained: “We will specialize in creating innovative and compelling storytelling for various niche markets.”
Last year, former ‘Corrie’ star Ward revealed his film ambitions, and he admitted he would “definitely consider” any offer to work in Hollywood.
He said: “I’m having a lot of meetings with the right people at the moment and choosing my next film project very carefully.
“Until you’ve signed a contract you can’t announce anything. If the right Hollywood opportunity comes calling I’ll definitely consider it.”
Now, the 34-year-old actor is shooting for his film debut in ‘Stairs’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has loved the “bat s**t bananas” reaction to ‘Fighting With My Family’.
The WWE legend has returned to his “wrestling roots” to produce the new comedy drama based on the life of former women’s champion Paige, and he admitted he holds a “deep connection” to the movie.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Audience buzz surrounding our film #FightingWithMyFamily has been absolutely bat s**t bananas.
“Deep connection to my wrestling roots, so this one was an honor to develop and produce.
“What a brilliant cast led by our shining stars @florencepugh & @j_a_lowden And writer/director @stephenmerchant. (sic)”
Directed and written by Stephen Merchant, the movie stars Florence Pugh as Saraya ‘Paige’ Bevis’ alongside Jack Lowden has her brother Zak, while Nick Frost and Lena Headey play their parents Patrick and Julia.
In another post reflecting on his passion for the film, Johnson revealed he has wanted to make the project for a long time.
He said: “I watched a gritty documentary back in 2012 about @realpaigewwe and immediately identified with her crazy, loving wrestling family, because they reminded me of my own crazy wrestling family.
“I thought this this documentary would make a crowd pleasing movie one day – years later, here we are.
“I’m very happy for our hard working, brilliant cast and filmmakers. You guys earned every cheer that comes your way on this one.”
‘Fighting With My Family’ will hit the big screen on February 14 in the US, with its UK release following on February 27.

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Theroux has wished his “fiercely loving” ex-wife Jennifer Aniston a happy birthday.
The ‘Leftovers’ star paid tribute to his former spouse, dubbing her “fierce, kind and funny.”
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Happy Birthday to this fierce Woman. Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind … and fiercely funny. [Love] you B (sic)”
Jennifer and Justin split in February 2018 but have remained friendly since they went their separate ways.
The 47-year-old actor had previously admitted he doesn’t believe in having “ex” partners because he hopes all his former lovers can continue to be “friends” with him.
When asked if he thinks a relationship has “failed” once it’s ended, Justin said: “It’s absurd to call someone ‘my ex-girlfriend’ or something … To add an ‘ex’ to someone feels very strange. Idealistically speaking, she would still stay your friend. You know, nobody is inherently evil. Nobody. Except for those narcissistic and self-involved people – some of them are always on the news at the moment. 99 percent of the people aren’t evil though, I don’t think so. They don’t wake up in the morning and think, ‘How can I harm someone today?’ No, what makes us human is the pursuit of happiness.”
The couple announced their split in a joint statement, where they said the focus would be on continuing their “cherished friendship”

We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship. OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Demon Headmaster’ is returning to CBBC with a modern twist.
The popular children’s TV classic – which starred Terrence Hardiman as the terrifying and hypnotic headteacher in the original show – is being revamped for a whole new audience more than 20 years after the final episode aired.
The new 10 part series – set for CBBC and BBC iPlayer – will tell the story of a group of kids at an academy school who quickly realise the Super Head is hypnotising his pupils.
The show first aired in 1996, with two series coming that year before a third and final run hit the small screen in 1998.
Hardiman – who has also appeared in the likes of ‘The Worst Witch’, ‘Jonathan Creek’ and ‘Doctor Who’ – has previously opened up about a revival of the show, and admitted he had thought about how a whole new generation of viewers would react to the character.
He said: “I have very happy memories of working on ‘The Demon Headmaster’. And what fun to play such a megalomaniac!
“[Fans’] most frequent question was, ‘How did you do that with your eyes?’ I wonder how a new generation will react.”
However, he also admitted it was very unlikely he’d reprise his role, instead suggesting there’s a greater chance of them recasting the part
He added: “I’m now too old to play it, I think… but one never says never! As Sean Connery once said, didn’t he? Never say never!
“But I cannot see any possibility of it happening, and if they wanted to redo it, reboot it, I’m sure they would get another actor.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre will be separated from his wife Emily on Valentine’s Day (14.02.18) because he’s on tour.
The 45-year-old singer considers the romantic date to be special day in the calendar and he is disappointed that he won’t be able to spoil Emily, 29, in person because he’s performing his ‘Celebrating 25 Years’ concerts across the UK over the next two months.
Writing in his Planet Pete column in the latest issue of New! magazine, he shared: “I understand why some people think Valentine’s Day is just a money-making thing, but for it’s a special day. Sadly, I won’t be with Emily this year. My ’25 Years’ tour kicked off on Monday, so I’ll be performing in Newcastle that night.”
Peter and Emily have two children, Amelia, five, and Theodore, two, together and he also has two other kids, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, from his marriage to Katie Price.
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker admits he and Emily – who is a qualified doctor – have had many offers to shoot a reality TV show focused on parenthood and although he has so far turned down the opportunities he has hinted he may put his family in front of the cameras when the time is right.
He said: “I get approached about doing dad diary-type shows a lot but I’ve always said no. It’s not because I’ve hung up my reality TV towel or anything, it’s just all to do with timing. It’s always nice to be asked though. As a father-of-four I’d say the most valuable lesson I’ve learnt is … not to have anymore children.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mahershala Ali thinks playing basketball is the perfect preparation for starring in a film.
The 44-year-old star won the Best Supporting Actor award at the BAFTAs on Sunday night (10.02.19) for his performance in ‘Green Book’ but he previously attended college in California thanks to a basketball scholarship, and he believes the sport is strikingly similar to the movie business.
Speaking to the BBC, he explained: “In basketball, there’s a sense of everyone touching the ball, everyone contributing, there’s only five people on the team, so you can see what everyone else is doing.
“I think there’s this sense of real collaboration in sports. Michael Jordan knows he wouldn’t have won the championship without Bill Cartwright. It prepares you for being able to work with other people.”
In 2017, Mahershala won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Barry Jenkins-directed drama ‘Moonlight’, thereby becoming the first Muslim star to win an Oscar for acting.
However, Mahershala has admitted to being tired of “always” being asked “about diversity” within the movie business.
He said: “It’s just that white actors are only asked about race if they’re doing a civil rights project.
“In interviews like this, they talk about their process and life, but black actors are always talking about diversity, where the culture’s at, where it’s going. We have to be professors of cultural studies, where a white actor can just be an actor!”
The Hollywood star also insisted that his passion for acting has never been motivated by fame or money.
He explained: “It took time but I learned that acting was about just being of service to stories and characters. And I always believed that if I just did my best work, it would naturally expand.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David and Victoria Beckham took their family ice skating to celebrate son Cruz’s 14th birthday.
The Beckham family got their skates ready as they took to the ice rink at the QUEENS Skate Dine and Bowl in London on Sunday evening (10.02.19) as a treat for Cruz before he turns another year older on February 20.
David and Victoria – who have four children, Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and seven-year-old Harper – headed to the West London spot to practice their skills on the ice and make use of the private bowling alley for their family to enjoy on the special occasion.
On Victoria’s Instagram story, she wrote: “Happy Birthday Cruz!! We love u so much!! Can’t believe our little man is ALMOST 14!!!
“So stylish! He matched his clothes with the party venue! So lovely having all the grandparents together to celebrate (sic)”
On Victoria’s Instagram, the family could be seen presenting Cruz with a large iced cookie that read “Happy Birthday Cruz”.
The Spice Girls legend previously revealed that Harper was given ice skates for Christmas after being inspired by ‘I, Tonya’, the biopic of skater Tonya Harding, played by Margot Robbie.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old former England soccer captain posted a picture of him struggling to keep up with his children as he wobbled round the ice rink holding on to his daughter’s hand.
David captioned the post: “Dad on the ice for the first time ever (sic)”
The football legend later posed with a penguin to help him keep steady on the ice after his unsteady start.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson is “doing great” with her pregnancy.
The ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ star – who is expecting her third child with her husband Eric Johnson – has been documenting her tough pregnancy online and Jessica’s sister Ashlee has revealed she is doing “great”.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: “She’s doing good. She’s doing great.”
And in another interview with Extra, she added: “She’s ready for that baby.”
Meanwhile, Jessica – who also has Maxwell, six, and Ace, five – previously admitted he “doesn’t understand” how she got pregnant again.
She admitted: “I thought about [having another baby], but I didn’t really know that it could actually happen. We definitely always love to practice. We actually weren’t practicing very much that month so I don’t understand. We try [to figure it out]. This might be a miracle baby.”
And Jessica’s children are “so excited” to be a big brother and big sister.
She added: “They’re so excited because they’re only fourteen months apart, so they didn’t get to experience the excitement of each other. But when I told them that we’re having another baby, I know that they’ll remember that for the rest of their lives. They are most excited about learning how to do the swaddle. Maxwell, my daughter is just so happy that it’s a girl. They ask me the craziest questions that I can’t say on TV … ‘How does the baby come out?’ ‘Where does the milk come from, I don’t understand!’ I’m a little bit too honest, and Eric’s like, ‘I don’t think we need to give out ALL the information, Jessica. So, I’m scaring my kids, I think.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coming to America 2’ will be released in August 2020.
The hotly-anticipated sequel to 1988’s ‘Coming to America’ has been given an official release date of August 7, 2020, exciting Eddie Murphy fans everywhere.
Murphy has been confirmed to return to his role as Prince Akeem but it is not yet known whether the film’s other stars including James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and Arsenio Hall will return to their roles.
Craig Brewer is set to direct the sequel to the 1988 comedy, in which Eddie plays Prince Akeem, the prince of a fictional African country who travels to America to escape an arranged marriage and find a wife.
In a statement, Murphy said of Brewer’s appointment: “After many years of anticipation, I’m thrilled that ‘Coming to America 2’ is officially moving forward. We’ve assembled a great team that will be led by Craig Brewer, who just did an amazing job on ‘Dolemite [Is My Name]’, and I’m looking forward to bringing all these classic and beloved characters back to the big screen.”
‘Black-ish’s Kenya Barris will rewrite a script by ‘Coming to America’ original writers Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield.
Barris added: “Craig’s ability to create a distinct cinematic world with each of his films is not only impressive but also what made him exactly the voice and vision we needed to bring this story to life. From ‘Hustle & Flow’ to his work with Eddie on ‘Dolemite Is My Name’, he never fails to blow me away. He is a true auteur and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Brosnahan makes time for “self-care” when she gets overwhelmed.
The ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ star feels it is important to take time for herself and says taking an “extra hour of sleep” does wonders for her and her body.
She said: “Sometimes I find that the best thing for my body is to just take that extra hour of sleep and not work out. I’m good at making time for self-care when I get overwhelmed. I read a book or take a bath or snuggle with my doggies and watch ‘Survivor’. Or I have coffee with friends.”
And the 28-year-old actress admits she felt like she was “dropping weight in an unhealthy way” during the first season of her Amazon show but she turned to bone broth to keep her going.
She added to the March issue of Shape magazine: “My stay-healthy secret when I’m working 14- or 15-hour days on Mrs. Maisel is bone broth. For the first season of the show, I was feeling very tired. And because I have a fast metabolism, I felt like I was dropping weight in an unhealthy way. Bone broth has collagen and fat in it, along with all kinds of vitamins and minerals, and I really think it helped me. I was the only person on our set who didn’t get sick that season.”
Rachel’s role in ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ has earned her critical acclaim and she has been raking in the awards including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
During her acceptance speech, she said: “I have wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember and to be able to count you all in this room as my peers let alone to stand up on this stage is beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much. I have a habit of getting very flustered up here and forgetting to thank a lot of vitally important people to my team. [I also want to praise] the unsung background actors who work the same hours as us and share the same union as us. I couldn’t be luckier to be a part of this amazing group of artists.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner says the idea for her daughter’s amusement park themed birthday party came to her in a dream.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star has revealed the idea for the event came to her in a dream, as she thanked party planner Mindy Weiss for making it all happen.
She wrote on Instagram: “I dreamed about this party and then drew it up on paper room by room and @mindyweiss really made my vision come to life!!! Thank you Mindy and team! This party was magical. (sic)”
The huge bash was themed around Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld’ LP and the entrance to the party mimicked the album cover, so guests walked in via the mouth of a giant inflatable Stormi, and they were also given ‘Stormi World’ balloons to walk around the grounds.
Carnival rides, a butterfly garden, giant inflatables and dancing pixies were there to entertain the guests, as well as singing and dancing that included ‘Baby Shark’. The group were served mini pizzas and french fries, which were placed in pink cartons with SW written on them in the signature Louise Vuitton ‘LV’ font.
Also on offer was a huge cake adorned with flowers and a mini carousel, and pretzels, which were hanging from strings on umbrellas being circulated around the outdoor venue. There was even a ‘Stormi’s Gift Shop’ merchandise stand for guests.
Kylie later shared a photo of herself and Stormi in front of neon lighting which read “Wish you were here” and insisted she “had” to throw the lavish bash.
She captioned the photo: “i had to go all out for my baby. #StormiWorld (sic)”
Kylie originally had to postpone the party due to bad weather.
She shared at the time: “Alright so, we were supposed to have Stormi’s birthday party this weekend. It’s not happening because it was supposed to rain and it’s not raining anymore. It didn’t end up raining, but better safe than sorry. We have all her cousins here and everybody who loves her. We’re playing with farm animals.”

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ matriarch absolutely adores being a grandmother to Mason, Penelope, Reign, North, Saint, Chicago, Dream, True and Stormi and loves that the family is so close to each other.
She said: “Oh, my goodness, it never ends! It’s the most incredible blessing to be able to watch my grandbabies grow. I’m so blessed to have my family live so close as I get to spend so much time with all my grandkids. Kim lives right across the street, Kylie and Rob are just a few minutes away and Kourtney and Khloé are only a five-minute drive. Khloé throws weekly parties and get-togethers for the cousins, it’s the cutest thing.”
And the 63-year-old television personality thinks the kids are also “blessed” to have one another as they will have “best friends for life”.
She added: “As blessed as I am to have all of my grandkids, they are beyond blessed to have each other. They will all have best friends for life.”
Kris gives all her children presents after they welcome a child into the world and she revealed she gave a particularly “sentimental” gift to Khloe.
She shared to People magazine: “Sometimes you see something that makes you think of someone and the best gifts are often those heartfelt, random gifts that let someone know you’re thinking of them. I gave Khloé diamond bracelets that her father had given to me on the day she was born. I had been holding on to them for the day Khloé had her first baby. Natural diamonds never lose their value, so I know my children can pass those pieces down to their children.”
