OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas will star in the ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ sequel.
The 26-year-old actor has confirmed he will return to the franchise to reprise his role as aircraft pilot Alex/ Jefferson ‘Seaplane’ McDonough, and he “couldn’t be more excited” about taking on the part again.
He wrote on Instagram: “Guess who’s back… Let’s go people! The #Jumanji sequel is on the way and I couldn’t be more excited to bring Alex back to the big screen (sic)”
Nick will be in good company as Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan are also heading back into Jumani for the sequel, as is director Jake Kasdan.
And it was revealed this week that the teen cast, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Alex Wolff – who all appeared at the beginning and end of the film as children who were transformed into adult avatars – will also reprise their roles.
The original 1981 book and 1995 movie of the same name both told the story of a magical board game in which wild jungle animals came into the real world.
But the 2017 reboot updated the concept by making the game into a video game in which four teens transported into its world, where the kids changed into grown-up avatars.
Movie legends Danny Glover and Danny DeVito have also signed up to the forthcoming film.
Johnson previously admitted he cannot wait to team up with ‘Twins’ actor DeVito on the project.
He said: “The magic of ‘Jumanji’ is who becomes who. And the idea of Danny DeVito joining our cast was too irresistible and something we knew we wanted to deliver to our audience this upcoming Christmas.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Work on a ‘World War Z’ sequel has stopped following a dispute over its budget.
The movie – which would see Brad Pitt reprise his role as Gerry Lane under the direction of David Fincher – had been in pre-production, with the intention to start production over the summer, but the process has now been called to a halt.
Sources told Variety the project was still in the early stages and Paramount had been looking to fill out the cast but the studio had concerns with the budget.
Though the insiders couldn’t confirm what the issue was, beyond Paramount chiefs becoming “more and more uncomfortable” with where it was headed, the movie has now been paused and it’s currently unclear whether it will go back into development or be shelved completely.
The original movie also hit budget issues in pre-production, and its costs spiralled further when producers famously brought Damon Lindelof in at the last minute to do extensive rewrites on the final third of the project, after filming had wrapped, causing a delay on its release, so it is believed studio bosses didn’t want to end up in a similar situation.
Paramount executive Marc Evans previously admitted drastic action was needed following a screening of the movie, which saw the entire room fall silent afterwards.
He previously said: “It was, like, Wow. The ending of our movie doesn’t work. I believed in that moment we needed to reshoot the movie.
“[I remember thinking] ‘We were going to have long, significant discussions to fix this.’
“I said, ‘There are two roads to go down here. Is there material that can be written to make that stuff work better? To have it make sense? To have it have emotional stakes? And plot logic and all that?’ And Road Two, which I think is the long-shot road, is that everything changes [in the third act].
“So when I gave them those two roads and they sounded more interested in Road B –which meant shooting an additional 30 to 40 minutes of the movie–I was like, ‘To be honest with you, good luck selling that to Paramount.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink is to receive the Outstanding Contribution To Music prize at this year’s BRIT Awards.
The 39-year-old singer will be the first-ever international winner of the accolade after nearly two decades of chart success, and she also plans to perform at the ceremony at London’s The O2 on February 20th.
A BRITs insider told The Sun newspaper: “Pink has had a truly incredible career and she hasn’t performed at the Brits in more than 15 years so it’s a massive coup that she is flying in for the occasion.
“When we told her we would be giving her the award, she was over the moon and agreed to sing at the ceremony.”
The ‘What About Us’ hitmaker was “humbled” to discover she is to be presented with the prize.
She said: “I am so honoured to be recognised with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the Brits.
“Since the start of my career, British fans have been some of the most fierce and loyal in the world. I am humbled to receive this honour.”
It’s particularly good timing for Pink as she announced this week that her new album ‘Hurts to Be Human’ will be out in April, and her new single ‘Walk Me Home’ will drop in a couple of weeks.
She said: “I’m shooting a video in a week I think, with Michael Gracey, the director from ‘The Greatest Showman’.
“I’m really excited about that. He’s amazing. I have a new song, ‘Walk Me Home,’ and I have a new album ‘Hurts to Be Human’. And I think it comes out in April.”
The ‘So What’ singer tasted further career success earlier this week when she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (05.02.19).
During her acceptance speech, the pop superstar praised her husband Carey Hart for being her “muse” and hailed their two children, Jameson, two, and daughter Willow, seven, her “stars”, who she wouldn’t “shine” without.
She said: “Thank you to my fans – you guys make it matter. Thank you for coming.
My husband – he’s so cute.
“He’s my muse and if he didn’t p**s me off all the time I’d have not much to say.
“I wouldn’t be standing up here if it wasn’t for you. Never change. My children – you guys are my stars and I would never shine without you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Busted are “excited” to bring “heavy guitars” back to music.
The ‘Year 3000’ hitmakers – comprising Charlie SImpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne – spent time experimenting with “different styles” before everything fell into place with their new album ‘Half Way There’, and they’re happy to have made something which sounds different to what is usually heard on current radio.
Charlie said: “We started writing songs and experimenting with different styles during the summer of 2017. We did some sessions in Los Angeles and went to ICP studios in Brussels for a couple of weeks, but it was only when we wrote ‘Nineties’ that we knew we had found the sound for our new album.
“We got excited about bringing heavy guitars back because all we were hearing on the radio was electronic music.”
The title of the LP references the “seventh album” aspect of their classic track ‘Year 3000’ but also pokes fun at the fact the trio are “not spring chickens” any more.
Charlie told Billboard magazine: “It’s also a play on the fact that we’re not spring chickens anymore. There’s a lyric on ‘All My Friends’ that goes, ‘We’re not old, but we’re not as young as we used to be, halfway to obscurity, and I feel fine.’ ”
But the 33-year-old singer doesn’t think getting older is a problem for the trio as they still feel the same as they used to, just with more experience behind them.
He said: “The nice thing about being a bit older and having lots of experience under our belts is that we can make informed decisions about our band and our future.
“We get to control our careers. Busted in 2019 isn’t actually that different from when we started out. We haven’t really changed that much. We’ve grown up, sure, but we still have a lot of fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Porley was once told she wouldn’t be booked for a modelling job unless she bleached her arm hair.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress “can’t understand” why women’s hair “insults people so much”, but admits she once shaved off her arm hair because all of her school friends were doing so, only to regret it afterwards.
She wrote on Twitter: “I can’t understand why female hair insults people so much.
“I once shaved my arm hair because all the girls at school were doing it. It grew back stubbly, I hated it and never did it again. Years later I was told I had to bleach my arm hair for a modelling job otherwise they wouldn’t book me because it would take too long to retouch. (sic)”
As well as not enjoying people being annoyed about female hair, the 31-year-old star – who played Ellie Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap – is also not a big fan of people chowing down on egg sandwiches on public transport.
She wrote: “Egg & cress sandwich’s should be illegal on all public transport. No eggcuses. You can all unfollow me now (sic)”
Sophie departed ‘Hollyoaks’ in September last year after playing Ellie since October 2015, and admitted she was “grateful” for the opportunity to portray the character and had the “time of [her] life” in the fictional Chester village.

What a bloody ride that was. I have had the time of my life the last 3 years. It really is one big family, the cast and crew work so so hard to put out 5 episodes a week!

OHMYGOSSIP — A man has pleaded guilty to stalking Rihanna – but won’t be jailed.
Eduardo Leon was arrested in May 2018 for breaking into the ‘Work’ hitmaker’s home and appeared on court on Wednesday (06.02.18) in relation to the incident, where he admitted offenses of stalking, vandalism and resisting arrest.
However, a burglary charge against him was dismissed, The Blast reports.
Eduardo was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to participate in a Office of Diversion and Re-entry (ODR) programme, which is designed for offenders who have “mental health and/or substance use disorders, including persons who are homeless”.
The 30-year-old pop star was also granted a criminal protection order against him.
Eduardo reportedly spent 12 hours inside Rihanna’s house last May before he was found by the ‘Diamonds’ singer’s assistant.
When he was arrested by police, he claimed he intended on having sex with Rihanna – who was not home at the time – though he insisted he would not have done it without her consent.
A few months after Eduardo’s arrest, police were called to the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker’s home again following a suspected burglary attempt that tripped her alarm.
Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section confirmed in September: “Officers responded to a home in the 7800 block of Hillside Avenue about 9:30 pm.”
And in August, police sent units to the mansion after the alarm was activated by accident.
Insiders at the time claimed Rihanna wasn’t home when the authorities arrived, but it was revealed there was no immediate threat to the property.
Meanwhile, in 2015, investigators questioned a man who had sent the singer death threats and taken selfies outside her mansion, whilst in 2014, police in New York arrested a man after he showed up at her SoHo home to deliver notes to the star, after having already sent multiple letters to her Los Angeles address.

The 31-year-old TV personality – who is best known for appearing in ‘Geordie Shore’ from 2011 until 2014 – is planning a night out with the singer and her good friend Ferne McCann now she has moved on from her former fiance John Noble.
She told The Sun Online: “I’m young-ish, single and I’m finally going to dedicate time for myself.
“I spent so many years lavishing my affection and time on men who didn’t deserve it. This is the year where I put myself first.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West have pulled out of their purchase of a $14 million holiday home.
The couple – who have children North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 12 months, and are expecting their fourth via a surrogate – had been planning to buy a luxury condo in Miami Beach but have now decided to look elsewhere due to privacy concerns.
According to TMZ, the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star and her 41-year-old spouse are now looking into property in the Bahamas or other tropical destinations that their whole family will be able to enjoy.
And at the top of the list for their dream home is somewhere private and secluded as they pulled out of the Miami Beach abode after being photographed on its balcony and realising it wasn’t right for them.
Unfortunately for the couple, Kanye will lose the $600,000 down payment he made on the property when he reserved it as a Christmas gift for the 38-year-old beauty.
The condo was situated just a few steps away from the beach within a building that has been dubbed ‘Billionaire Beach Bunker’.
The 4,700 square foot property featured four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as a huge terrace.
And that’s not all, as the building has a gym, pool and spa for residents to use, as well as offering a concierge service.
A source previously said of the purchase: : “Kanye saw the property during Art Basel in December and bought it as a Christmas present for Kim. It was a complete surprise for her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson claims he was “first choice” to host the Academy Awards.
The 46-year-old actor hoped to make the 2019 Oscars “fun and entertaining” but his commitments to ‘Jumanji 2’ ruled him out of the job, which was eventually accepted by Kevin Hart, his co-star in the film, though he subsequently stepped down following a row over homophobic tweets.
The Rock tweeted: “I was their first choice to host this year, and my goal was to make it the most fun and entertaining Oscars ever. We all tried hard, but couldn’t make it work since I’m shooting Jumanji. (sic)”
But the ‘Fast and Furious’ star hasn’t ruled out stepping up to the helm for a future ceremony.
He added: “Academy and I were super bummed but maybe one day down the road (sic)”
This year’s ceremony is to go ahead without a host byt ABC recently teased the Oscars – which will take place at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on February 24 – will kick off with a “very exciting” opening.
After the likes of Daniel Craig, Jennifer Lopez and Whoopi Goldberg were all confirmed as presenters, ABC president Karey Burke said: “From what I’ve heard, we have a very exciting opener planned. We are not going to go straight into people thanking their agents.”
Karey insists that the “lack of clarity” surrounding the show’s hosting situation has proved to be helpful in keeping the ceremony relevant, and says the list of presenters is “phenomenal”.
She added: “Ironically, I have found that the lack of clarity around the Oscars has kept them in the conversion. It’s really compelling. People really care.
“The list of presenters is phenomenal and growing. This is going to be a big turnout for this. There are big popular movies being nominated.”
The broadcaster’s comments come after Daniel, Jennifer, and Whoopi were announced as presenters alongside Awkwafina, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Amandla Stenberg, Charlize Theron, Tessa Thompson and Constance Wu.
Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper is set to make his award show singing debut at the Academy Awards when he takes to the stage with his ‘A Star Is Born’ co-star, as the pair will perform their hit song ‘Shallow’, which is taken from the movie and which is nominated for Best Original Song.

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Tyler has opened a home for neglected and abused girls in Memphis.
The Aerosmith frontman donated $500,000 to Janie’s House, which is named after the band’s 1989 song ‘Janie’s Got A Gun’, about a girl who turns to drugs after being abused, and the facility opened its doors earlier this week.
The home is run by the non-profit organisation Youth Villages – who help young girls with emotional, mental and behavioural problems – and Steven’s contribution came from his own Janie’s Fund, which he setup in 2015.
The 70-year-old rocker has said that the venture has been “good” for his “soul”.
He said: “This does my heart and my soul good. This is real.”
Steven – who has battled his own substance and alcohol addictions in the past – was inspired to start up Janie’s House after visiting a treatment centre for “co-dependency” and seeing how their work had a positive impact on the young people’s lives.
He said: “As you can only imagine, being in a band with guys for 50 years, you can have problems.
“And rather than quit, I decided to go to this treatment centre for co-dependency.”
It’s the second home to open, after Steven – who has three daughters, Liv, 41, Mia, 40, Chelsea 29, and a 28-year-old son Taj with his youngest daughter’s mother Teresa Barrick – launched a place for children in Atlanta, Georgia, two years ago.
Janie’s House can help 14 girls at a time and 30 per year, and offers various different therapies to aid the young people with their recovery from drug or alcohol dependency and allow them to go on to lead normal lives.
The ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ hitmaker has vowed: “I’m gonna bring this Janie’s Fund with me wherever I go. It’s like a dream come true.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Vaccines’ drummer Yoann Intonti almost died after contracting viral meningitis on tour last year.
The ‘If You Wanna’ group supported Imagine Dragons on the European leg of their ‘Evolve World Tour’ over August and September 2018, and frontman Justin Hayward-Young has recalled how surprised he was that his bandmate managed to complete the shows, despite “knocking on death’s door” with the infection, which causes inflammation of the tissue that covers the brain and spinal cord.
Justin told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “We toured Europe with Imagine Dragons in the summer and Yoann went a little too hard, too many days in a row, and ended up with viral meningitis and was knocking on death’s door.
“Somehow he still managed to play every show.
“He was wheezing as if he was about to take his dying breath.
It’s quite scary because then we started googling viral meningitis and it’s pretty f***ing serious.”
Meanwhile, the band – who play two consecutive nights at London’s Roundhouse, starting on Friday (07.02.19) – previously joked their worst ever gig felt like an episode of ‘My Super Sweet Sixteen’.
The ‘I Can’t Quit’ band – completed by Freddie Cowan, Arni Arnason and Timothy Lanhami – performed at the wedding of cycling champion Mark Cavendish and model Peta Todd in 2013.
Recalling the awkward event, Justin said: “I think they were hoping all their friends liked us as much as they did. It was like ‘My Super Sweet Sixteen’ where someone thinks they’re getting Justin Bieber and then…”
Freddie quipped: “It’s Kula Shaker.”
The guitarist added that it was “amazing” to be there, but that the “big reveal” perhaps fell short of what the cyclist was hoping for.
He said: “He’s such a nice man, and it was an amazing setting. I think he thought the big reveal would happen, and his grandparents and all the kids would be like, ‘Vaccines oh brilliant!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bryan Ferry, Michael Bolton, Four Tops, Thin Lizzy and Gloria Gaynor are among the legendary acts set to perform at this year’s Rewind Festival.
The annual throwback festival is set to return to Perth in Scotland, Macclesfield and Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire this summer.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bryan – who shot to fame as the lead vocalist of the glam art rock group Roxy Music, who achieved 10 top 10 singles between 1972 and 1982 – will headline Rewind Scotland on July 21.
He sad: “Really looking forward to returning to Scotland again this year to perform at Rewind Festival.”
The likes of Lisa Stansfield, Belinda Carlisle, Hazel O’Connor, Midge Ure, Bjorn Again, The Skids and Big Country are also set to play the final day in Perth.
‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ hitmakers Foreigner make their Rewind debut the night before (July 20).
Founding member Mick Jones said: “We are excited to be part of Rewind Festival. Scottish fans have always been great to us, and we look forward to bringing them an amazing show.”
The likes of Lulu, Paul Young, Eddi Reader, Joyce Sims, Black Box, The Dire Straits Experience, The Undertones, The Primitives and Hipsway will also perform at Stone Palace.
Lulu said: “I am excited to come home to Scotland and perform at Rewind Festival for the first time. It is going to be a fantastic weekend of live music from start to finish at Scone Palace. I look forward to rockin’ out with you!”
Disco queen Gloria Gaynor is set to headline August 3 at Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield, where she will perform on the same day as Bananarama, Tiffany, Heather Small, Hazel O’Connor, UB40 (feat. Ali Campbell and Astro), The Dire Straits Experience, Neville Staple, The Undertones and The Primitives.
Rock legends Thin Lizzy will close the North festival on August 4, with Level 42, Heaven 17, Joyce Sims, Cutting Crew, Black Box, Bjorn Again, The Selecter and From The Jam joining them.
‘The Boys Are Back in Town’ hitmakers’ guitarist, Scott Gorham said: “It’s an honour to play Rewind – with so many classic artists on the bill it’s going to be a day to remember.”
Rewind South will be treated to a performance by Motown legends the Four Tops, who will headline August 17.
Lulu, Heaven 17, Heather Small, Tiffany, Kim Appleby, UB40 (featuring Ali Campbell and Astro), The Dire Straits Experience and The Undertones will head down to Temple Island Meadows to support the ‘Reach Out I’ll Be There’ hitmakers.
The throwback extravaganza will conclude with a headlining set from rock legend Michael Bolton, who will close the festival in Henley-on-Thames on August 18, joined by a stellar line-up featuring Sister Sledge, Belinda Carlisle, Paul Young, Midge Ure, Hazel O’Connor, The Wailers, The Selecter, Neville Staple and From The Jam.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has hired a psychic to cleanse the ‘Dancing On Ice’ rink of negative energy after her painful fall.
The reality TV star – who was left injured after she took a tumble last month – has turned to a shamanic practitioner called Sue to prepare the studio for her routine on Sunday (10.02.19), and claimed the “energy” in the room has been impacting her performance.
In a video shared on Instagram, she said: “I’ve brought a psychic into the ice today to cleanse the energy for my performance on Sunday.
“There’s very bad energy in this corner and it’s affecting the performance. We are gonna banish out all the bad energy for this Sunday. Hell yeah!”
Gemma also revealed clips of Sue moving around the studio chanting and carrying out rituals to “cleanse” the space.
The ‘TOWIE’ star added: “She’s banishing away the negative energy since my trauma of the fall on the ice.
“She’s getting me at one with the ice again. Go on, darling!”
Her plan comes after the ITV show’s associate creative director Dan Whiston suggested that Gemma’s fall has “cursed” the other contestants.
Actress Melody Thornton damaged her left shoulder and hit her chin on the ice when she slipped during rehearsals, while Jane Danson fainted just hours before the show on Sunday (03.02.19).
‘Love Island’ star Wes Nelson also hurt himself – damaging his knee – during training, and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom was back on the rink after missing the performance on January 27 because of a groin strain.
He recently said: “It was really, really awful.
“It was almost as if Gemma’s fall from last week’s show … it was a sign of things to come. Everyone was getting injured.
“She’s got black knees, they’re so bruised, she hurt her chest as well. People are pushing the boundaries so there are going to be these injuries.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Bauer claims her former skating coach cut ties with her because of battles with eating disorders and her “mental health situation”.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ pro – who is paired with ‘Love Island’ star Wes Nelson on the current series – has opened up about “ending up in psychological therapy” after she fell into depression.
Sharing a professional lingerie snap, she wrote in a lengthy post: “Before I started shows I would have never thought I’d be comfortable in front of the camera in a bikini or much less in underwear! Every day I was told I am too fat (which I wasn’t!) and it did nothing but making my confidence shrink into nothing!
“At 13, when my skating career started to take off, circumstances, comments and many voices made me fall into a combination of eating disorders. Completely ASHAMED and always wanting to be the best in everything I did, I hid my struggles – for 4 years
“Appearing as the strong Vanessa nobody would have EVER thought of my mental health issues. 4 years later, I could not handle the pressure anymore. I fell into depressions on top of my eating disorders.
“My coach found out about my MENTAL HEALTH SITUATION and didn’t want to have anything to do with the girl who ended up in psychological therapy !! It was the most devastating years of my life but I still managed to hide the whole situation from everybody around me. (sic)”
Vanessa, 22, put on a strong front at school and in public, but turned to therapy and became convinced she was at fault for her mental health issues.
It even got to the point that the star – who continued to thrive with her education, despite her struggles – quit skating, before realising the positive impact the sport could have on her life.
She added: “I am now unbelievably proud of myself for how far I’ve come. By myself and for myself I trained my way back into my passion.
“Being a pro figure skater travelling around the world DOING WHAT I LOVE became the best therapy! Things have turned up differently than I wanted but everything was for the better.
“Skating gives me life and there is no happier place for me than ON STAGE PERFORMING… I have fallen in love with taking care of my body and I’m still working on my mind! (sic)”
And she urged anyone facing similar problems to speak to people and get help rather than keeping it inside.
She concluded: “If you are struggling SEEK HELP. Admitting, accepting and sharing are the first steps to recovery. You’re not alone. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hollander was rejected from ‘The Missing’ before joining spin-off ‘Baptiste’.
The 51-year-old actor previously tried out for a role in the BBC One drama – which starred the likes of James Nesbitt in series one and David Morrissey in series two – but after being turned down he landed a role in the follow-up show, which features Tchéky Karyo as the titular detective.
Tom – who plays an uncle hunting for his niece – said: “I’d auditioned for ‘The Missing’ and been rejected. I had a bit of an axe to grind about that.”
Like ‘The Missing’, ‘Baptiste’ looks set to have viewers on the edge of their seats, with Tom promising a cliff-hanger as the first episode comes to its conclusion.
He added: “There is certainly a twist at the end of the first episode.”
Tchéky landed his own series after winning the hearts of ‘The Missing’ viewers as Julien Baptiste over the first two seasons, and he admits becoming a sex symbol aged 51 has made him “feel young again”.
He is quoted by The Sun’s Bizarre TV column as saying: “I didn’t expect it, but it’s flattering. This has made me feel young again.”
As well as Tom and Tchéky, Jessica Raine will also star in the hotly-anticipated spin-off as Genevieve, who seeks out Baptiste’s help.
Executive producers Harry and Jack Williams said in a statement: “We are so pleased to welcome Jessica Raine to our brilliant cast; her talent and commitment are perfect for Genevieve and we’re really excited to see what she does with the character.”
The pair are also excited about working with Tom.
They said: “We have wanted to work with Tom for some time and are so pleased he is going to play Edward in ‘Baptiste’.
“Tom’s huge range and formidable talent make him a wonderful addition to our cast.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Headey is set to star in new assassin movie ‘Gunpowder Milkshake’.
The 45-year-old actress is joining the new thriller from Studiocanal and The Picture Company, and the ‘Game of Thrones’ star will star alongside Karen Gillan, who is expected to be the lead of an all-female cast with filming due to begin in Berlin, Germany, in the spring.
Although details of the plot have been kept under wraps, the film is described as being in the assassin genre and includes stories spanning over multiple generations.
The action flick will be directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the pair responsible for the dark Israeli breakout ‘Big Bad Wolves’ and the duo also penned the script alongside graphic novel writer Ehud Lavski.
Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman of The Picture Company will produce the movie through their overall deal with Studiocanal.
Lena recently wrapped up her final scenes as ruthless Queen Cersei Lannister in HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’, which premieres in April, and the star previously admitted that she was overcome by emotion during her last days on set.
Lena – who made her ‘GoT’ debut in 2011 – previously confessed: “I knew that David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], our creators, were doing speeches and giving everybody these drawings of the storyboards.
“And I suddenly got really emotional at the end and tried to head down the stairs. They all rushed up and trapped me. And then they gave the speech, and it was really moving.”
The ‘300’ actress also revealed that – much like the show’s fans – the cast are always keen to discover how the story will evolve.
The actress – who stars alongside the likes of Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams – shared: “They usually give us all of [the scripts], and if anyone says they don’t flip to the end, they’re lying.”
