Paris Hilton wanted veteran to have ‘special’ 100th birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton wanted to make a war veteran’s 100th birthday “special”.
The 37-year-old socialite was accompanied to Phillipp Plein’s New York Fashion Week show on Monday (11.02.19) by World War II veteran Sidney Walton and it has now been revealed she has known the old man for “many years” and wanted to do something nice for him.
A source told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “Paris has known Sidney for many years. He’s a huge fan of Paris’, and he loves to attend her DJ shows and events . . . He thinks she’s the sweetest and most beautiful girl.
“She has a big heart and wanted to make his 100th birthday special.”
The fashion show featured a three-course meal and a performance by Lil Pump and Sidney seemed to enjoy the entertainment.
An onlooker previously said: “He was there in his wheelchair with a bunch of balloons watching Lil Pump sing ‘I Love It,’ which has lyrics like, ‘You’re such a f ***ing ho.’
“When he left, everyone was cheering. It might be the only truly nice moment I’ve ever seen during Fashion Week.”
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty recently insisted she will be keeping her $2 million 20-karat diamond engagement ring following her split from Chris Zylka.
When asked if she would give Chris back the ring, she said: “It’s mine.”
And when asked if that meant she forked over the $2 million asking price, she added: “It was free.”
Her comments come after she previously insisted she would be keeping the ring, as the jeweller got “millions of dollars” in free publicity thanks to her social media posts about the sparkler.
She said: “The person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity. I love how social media has basically become a new form of money. It’s pretty sick.”
And when asked if she got to keep the ring, Paris added: “Yes. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”

Corey Taylor says Slipknot’s new album will be ‘evil’

OHMYGOSSIP — Slipknot’s new album is set to be “evil” and “ridiculous”.
Corey Taylor has teased some details of the band’s long-awaited new album, which is the follow-up to 2014’s ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’.
Asked to describe the new record in one word, the singer replied: “[It’s] gonna be evil.”
Corey, 45, refused to reveal too many details about the new album – but he happily gave fans an idea of the tone they can expect.
He told The Des Moines Register: “It’s going to be ridiculous. Let’s put it that way.”
Slipknot released the track ‘All Out Life’ in 2018 – which carried a strong a socio-political message.
Explaining the thought process behind the track, Corey said: “(The song sets) the tone for getting people to stand up and go, ‘We’re not gonna allow this. We’re not gonna allow people to run us down for religious beliefs, for the colour we are, for what we stand for. For who we chose to love.’ All of these things.
“There’s nobody doing it, man. Everybody’s too worried about their pockets. Everybody’s too worried about their paychecks.
“That was me, basically, drawing a line in the sand and going ‘Guess what? You don’t get to do this anymore.'”
Meanwhile, Corey also claimed that his troubles with alcohol abuse and divorce had inspired his writing.
He said: “You could see it in my skin. You could see it in my eyes.
“That’s basically the journey I’m going to take people on this album … show them what happens to depression when you have no chemicals to fall back on. It’s a pretty dark ride.”

Gary Barlow ‘tried everything’ to get Jason Orange to stay in Take That

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow “tried everything” to get Jason Orange to rejoin Take That.
The 48-year-old singer has revealed that Jason – who quit the group in 2014 – had decided he simply “didn’t want to do it anymore” and despite Gary spending “about a year” trying to convince Jason to change his mind, he wasn’t tempted to return.
Gary said to the Metro newspaper: “He just didn’t want to do it anymore. I don’t think he’ll come back.
“It’s one thing when you’re teenagers talking someone into something but he’s a man now.
“We tried to talk him into it for about a year. We tried everything. Guilt. He just didn’t want to do it.”
The band originally featured Gary and Jason, as well as Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams
But following the departures of Jason and Robbie, Gary admitted that if another member were to leave the group, the remaining duo would have to rebrand.
He said: “It can’t go to two. We’ve made an agreement that it can’t go to two and if it does, we’ve got to find a new name.”
As for Gary’s highlights with the band, he claims there have been “thousands”, admitting it’s an “amazing feeling” to perform alongside his good pals.
He said: “There have been thousands [of highlights].
“I remember the night we did the Olympics [in 2012] where we all turned to face each other and it’s an amazing thing looking at your mates with millions of people around the world watching you. You think ‘How have we got here?’ You feel like a fraud every day.”

“Then, I’m going to Houston in Texas to interview a psychopath. And then I’m going to New York to interview another psychopath.
“And then I’m going back to LA to rendezvous with you [Susanna] to do the Oscars where there are about a thousand psychopaths.

James McVey backs bandmate for I’m A Celebrity win

OHMYGOSSIP — James McVey has backed his The Vamps bandmate Connor Ball to compete on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – and win the series.
The 24-year-old musician – who plays in the pop band with the 22-year-old bassist, Tristan Evans and Brad Simpson – believes Connor has what it takes to become King of the Jungle on the hit ITV reality show, partly because he is “really compassionate”.
When asked which one of The Vamps he believes would “smash it” if they went into the jungle, James told Heatworld: “It’s a tough one because I think they all offer different qualities.
“Connor is really good physically so he would smash all the trials. Tristan is hilariously funny so would just be a bit of a joker. And Brad’s really compassionate.
“I think they’d all offer something. I think Connor would do the best maybe. But they’d all do really well.”
The ‘Can We Dance ‘ hitmaker admitted seeing his former fellow campmate Harry Redknapp with his wife Sandra – who he married in 1967 – inspired him to take the plunge and propose to his girlfriend Kirstie Brittain during a new year’s break to the Lake District.
He said: “I knew I wanted to propose to Kirstie this year anyway but I think seeing or hearing how solid him and Sandra had been for 50 or something years really affirmed to me that you can still have a successful marriage.
“I think everyone was in there was just asking about us the more I spoke about it the more it made sense to just propose. He helped me get the ring and stuff which was amazing.
“It feels like I’ve got a new family and Harry is just like a granddad to me in a weird way. It makes you figure out what you want, doing that show.”

Denise Richards reveals daughter’s delays

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Richards’ youngest daughter has a rare chromosome disorder.
The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star – who has Sam, 14, and Lola, 13, from her marriage to Charlie Sheen and adopted seven-year-old Eloise as a lone parent – admitted she is “learning every day” because there isn’t a “road map” for how to treat the youngster’s condition, which has caused “a lot of developmental delays”.
Denise told People magazine: “She wasn’t able to sit up on her own for a very long time, and she didn’t start walking until she was two, and that was with physical therapy.
“She can only say a handful of words [now]. And there are times when she feels like her age in understanding, and then other times where it feels she’s emotionally three years old. It’s been challenging. I’m learning every day because they don’t really have a road map for her particular case.”
Two and a half years ago, Eloise was diagnosed with a deletion in chromosome eight and though Denise – who married Aaron Phypers in September – doesn’t know what the future holds for her daughter, she is staying optimistic.
She said: “Every child is different You take care of your children no matter what is going on with them. I don’t know if [Eloise] is ever going to talk like a typical child. But as a parent, you want what’s best for your children, and you just do it.”
The ‘World is Not Enough’ actress’ proudest achievement is the way she has raised her children, especially as they are growing up in very different circumstances to her own childhood.
She said: “I’m most proud of raising my kids, especially in a time that is very different from how I was raised.
“It’s extremely hard to keep children grounded. This is not an easy time to grow up.”

Lily Allen dedicated ‘F*** You’ to Liam Neeson during Sydney show

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Allen dedicated a song slamming racists to Liam Neeson at her concert on Tuesday (05.02.19).
The 33-year-old singer was performing in Sydney, Australia, when she told the crowd she would sing ‘F**k You’ for the 66-year-old actor, who has been subjected to a huge backlash after shockingly confessed he sought racially-charged revenge after a friend was raped.
She told the crowd: “Normally, I dedicate this song to Donald Trump, but tonight I’m dedicating it to Liam Neeson.”
The 2009 track was written about the far-right British National Party (BNP) and includes the lyrics: “You’re just some racist who can’t tie my laces. Your point of view is medieval.”
Lily also slammed Liam’s “disgusting racist anecdote” and insisted she didn’t believe it was true because she doesn’t think men every try to “defend the honour” of women close to them.
She wrote on her Instagram story: “I don’t believe Liam Neeson’s racist anecdote, which makes it even more disgusting.
“I don’t know a woman who hasn’t been harassed and I have NEVER heard of an instance where a man has actually gone out to defend her honor. It just doesn’t happen.”
Liam sparked a huge outcry when he candidly admitted he understood his character in his latest film, ‘Cold Pursuit’s desire for revenge after he had deliberately gone looking for a fight with a black man because he was so desperate to “kill” someone after a female friend was raped.
He said: “There’s something primal – God forbid you’ve ever had a member of your family hurt under criminal conditions. I’ll tell you a story. This is true … She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way. But my immediate reaction was…
“I asked, did she know who it was? No. What colour were they? She said it was a black person.
“I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody – I’m ashamed to say that – and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some ‘black b*****d’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”
The veteran actor later tried to clarify his comments on ‘Good Morning America’ and insisted he is “not racist”.

Kendall Jenner cried ‘endlessly for days’ over online trolls

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner has “cried endlessly for days” over online trolls.
The 23-year-old model has become “stronger” in recent years, but she has been affected in the past by cruel comments on social media and insisted the only way to deal with the remarks is to “not pay attention to it”.
In an interview with Allure magazine, she said: “I have cried endlessly for days because of things people have said to me, and I’ve had to become stronger through it.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong: I am not superhuman. I definitely feel, and the things people say online are very hurtful.
“You also just have to live your life and not pay attention to it. I think it can get pretty unhealthy if you really are deep in it and paying attention to it all the time. I think that that’s what can really mess you up.”
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star went on to speak about the negative attention she received about her acne after attending the Golden Globe Awards in 2018
She said: “I mean, it’s something that I look at myself in the mirror every day and see. Like, I don’t want it there, but you have to deal with what you have right in front of you, and I had to deal with it, and it was probably a once in a lifetime thing for me to go to the Golden Globes.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever go again, ’cause that’s not usually my event to go to, you know? And so I went and I was super excited about it, and I’m not gonna let something so little (and big) as acne stop me.
“I was feeling good about myself, and then when people say mean things I’m like, ‘I know I have a zit. I know I’m breaking out. You guys don’t have to keep pointing it out’. I obviously see that, but let me live.”

Eva Longoria expected no problems with son on set

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria thought it would be “easy” to work with her son on set.
The 43-year-old actress didn’t think she’d have any problems if she was accompanied by seven-month-old Santiago – her son with husband Jose Baston – because she was only a producer on ‘Grand Hotel’, rather than appearing on camera, but it was much harder than she had anticipated.
However, Eva has no regrets about her decision.
She said: “It was fun. When I was directing, I had just had Santi and I was breastfeeding as I was saying action and running around. I thought, ‘This will be easy. I’m not in front of the camera. There’s no pressure to look amazing,’ [but] it was so hard.
“I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ But he’s grown up on the set. He’s been on the set every episode. This cast is like his surrogate family.”
Eva is delighted to see the finished series because she had been so “obsessed” with the original Spanish story it is based on.
She added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It was a lot of fun. It was an original Spanish format that was a period piece that happened in the 1800s and I was obsessed with it.
“I was like, ‘I wanna contemporise that. What would a family-owned hotel look like today with the upstairs and the downstairs? What happens if we set it in Miami, which is a sexy character in itself? What happens if we populate it with all these wonderful and beautiful people?’ And then voila, you have Grand Hotel.”
Eva previously admitted she is “embracing every moment” of parenthood.
She said: “I’m still in ecstasy with becoming a mother and embracing every moment. He’s starting to laugh now and react to people, which is really exciting and fun to watch. I have a really great group of girlfriends who are mums who have been through it and give really good advice. It’s just really nice to be surrounded by that tribe of women.”

Laura Anderson isn’t ‘smug’ over Megan and Wes split

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Anderson doesn’t feel “any smugness at all” about Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson’s split.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestant was Wes’ original partner on the ITV2 show before he dumped her in pursuit of Megan, but the 29-year-old star has insisted that it’s a “shame and it’s sad” the pair have now gone their separate ways.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: “I don’t feel any smugness at all; we were never in a proper relationship anyway.
“It’s a shame and it’s sad that they split. They loved each other. But I am not close or particularly friendly with them. And so I don’t know all the details.
“I don’t know who did the dumping, for example
“All I know is that he’s busy, she’s busy. They are both beautiful and I’m sure will be successful. What was meant to be will be.”
Megan and Wes aren’t the only ‘Love Island’ couple to recently call time on their relationship.
Last week, Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel called time on their romance – but former air stewardess Laura admitted it was a “shock” when she heard they had called it quits.
She said: “With them, it was a shock. I am close with Kaz and both still love each other. It’s a difficult one.
“They mutually, between them, decided to split. I don’t know what that means for their future, and I know that it was a difficult choice. I adore both of them, and I know they’re okay.”
Adam Collard and Zara McDermott, and the show’s winners, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, are the only couples who remain together.
Laura Crane and Jack Fowler split last August, whilst both Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster, and Laura and Paul Knopps called it quits shortly after leaving the villa.
Georgia Steel and Sam Bird also split last year, as did Charlie Brake and Ellie Brown.

Casualty’s Amanda Mealing dishes dirt on Connie Beachamp attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Mealing took a real-life head bashing while filming a “brutal” ‘Casualty’ attack.
The 51-year-old actress – who plays Connie Beauchamp on the BBC medical drama – has opened up about the consultant’s shocking upcoming assault, and says she “bashed her head for real” to film a close-up of her character hitting the floor.
She said: “It’s a brutal attack. It was really brutal when we were filming it. I took a bit of a knock when we were doing it.
“To get the close up of Connie’s head hitting the floor, the padding had to be taken away and I really did bash my head for real.”
Following a day of intense events, Connie will be violently attacked by a mystery suspect, who leaves her for dead in an empty stairwell.
The star said she felt the shocking storyline was “important” because medics experience such incidents in real life.
She said: “This is an important story to highlight because there are physical, emotional, verbal and cyber attacks [on medics] now. This is a catalyst for post-traumatic stress disorder in Connie. The attack happens once, but Connie ends up living it much longer.”
Ahead of the violent attack, Connie will clash with senior nurse Louise Tyler (Azuka Oforka) over her hard ruling.
She told What’s on TV magazine: “Connie, in her inimitable way, is very removed emotionally and very pragmatic, so it causes a lot of frustration with Louise who is experiencing a personal plight with nursing.
“Louise is emotionally involved with a patient called Ernest and wants to deal with the whole person, their home life as well as medically, but Connie only wants to deal with the medical. It brings her into conflict with patients and their families, and maybe someone in particular … Connie always rubs people up the wrong way.”

Danny Dyer recalls ‘slowly committing suicide’ during dark days

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer believes there is a “higher power” guiding him through life after once being in such a “dark place” he was “slowly committing suicide”.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor has become “quite spiritual” as he has got older and has started meditating daily, after previously being “a bit of a lunatic” in which he hated himself so much he couldn’t bear to look in the mirror for more than five seconds.
He said: “I’ve become quite spiritual. I believe there’s a higher power looking after me. Maybe there’s something that has been dragging me through life.
“I’ve had a mad couple of years, a lot of soul-searching. Pre that, I was a bit of a lunatic. Self-sabotage, all that.
“I was in such a dark place, I was slowly committing suicide. I had no hope, I hated myself, couldn’t look in the mirror for more than five seconds.
“It just repulsed me, what was looking back. I was just pressing the f**k-it button all the time. It got to a point where I thought I was going to die – I don’t think I’m going to wake up.”
Danny says he has “never really been the same” since he appeared on stage in his mentor Harold Pinter’s play ‘Celebration’ in 2001 at New York’s Lincoln Center, before which he stayed up all night and smoked crack.
He said: “I was abusing myself so much, my brain wasn’t ready and I didn’t have a clue what to say.
“The blood rushed from my feet to my head and I was petrified. I felt so vulnerable.
“Never really been the same since. It’s like a boxer who wins 27 fights and no-one gets near him and then they get knocked out and they’re never the same again.”
Danny also admits he became a “parody of [himself]” 10 years ago.
He added to the i newspaper: “I think about 10 years ago, I was a bit of a laughing stock, and I created a lot of that myself. I became a parody of myself. Whatever that means.”
The ‘Football Factory’ star picked up the Serial Drama Performance prize at the National TV Awards last month for his role as EastEnders’ Mick Carter, and admitted afterwards he felt Harold – who passed away in 2008 aged 78 – had given him “a little gift” from beyond the grave.
He said: “I feel very connected to Harold Pinter, who was very important to me, and I realise that now. I took him for granted slightly.
“He’s been gone for 10 years and I’m doing a play at the moment, doing ‘The Dumb Waiter’, and I feel really connected to him at the moment. Maybe this is a little gift from him, I don’t know.”

Jennifer Lopez praises Leah Remini’s improvised scenes in Second Act

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez’s favourite scene in ‘Second Act’ is when her co-star Leah Remini’s unexpectedly unbuttons her pants.
The 49-year-old singer-turned-actress plays unlikely businesswoman Maya Vargas in the romantic comedy, opposite Leah, who portrays on screen pal Joan, and J.Lo has revealed that she encouraged her real life pal to improvise in a lot of the movie’s scenes which led to the trouser popping moment.
She said: “A lot of the things that happened were improvised and I think two of my favourite moments were something that we just talked about. It would be as simple as we were doing a scene in the kitchen and she unbuttoned her pants in-between takes and I’d be like, ‘You should so do that in the scene.’ And she was like, ‘What?’ I said, ‘You should unbutton your pants in the scene.’ And she was like, ‘Really? OK!’ She unbuttoned it and it was one of the biggest laughs in the movie.”
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker – who has twins Max, 10, and Emme, 10, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony – also confessed that she got very “emotional” whilst shooting the scene in the film where she discovers that Vanessa Hudgens’ alter ego Zoe is her long lost daughter as she couldn’t help but think about “not being able to see” her kids until they were in their 20s.
She said: “It was easy to get there [emotional] – we have another actress who’s ready to be emotionally available – and when I really think, all I have to do is think about my kids and not being able to see them until they were in their 20s, I would die. It was very easy for me to tap into that as a mother.”
‘Second Act’ is out in cinemas now.

Netflix to acquire Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile in $9m deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix is set to acquire Ted Bundy biopic ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’ in a $9 million deal.
The streaming service is reportedly closing in on a deal for the US and some international rights to the chilling drama, starring Zac Efron, after winning a bidding war involving STX and Lionsgate, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The follows the infamous serial killer who charmed his 30 or more female victims before killing them in the 1970s, through the eyes of his long-time girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by Lily Collins, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.
The service recently released the hit docu-series ‘Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes’ created by Joe Berlinger, the director who also helmed the new bloodcurdling drama film.
Netflix is said to be releasing the film in autumn.
The film had its world premiere on January 26 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City and the deal marks the first narrative feature buy for Netflix at this year’s Sundance market.
Despite Zac, 31, receiving rave reviews for his portrayal of the charismatic killer the film has been criticised for glorifying the magnetic murderer although director Joe has rubbished the claims, stating the film shows Bundy’s “psychopathic seduction”.
He previously said: “I think the idea of this particular story, making a movie about Bundy, equals glorification of him is a very naive and knee-jerk reaction.
“Because if you actually watch the movie, the last thing we’re doing is glorifying him. He gets his due at the end, but we’re portraying the experience of how one becomes a victim to that kind of psychopathic seduction.
“I think there should be no censoring of subject matter, if it’s done responsibly. And even if it’s done irresponsibly, people have the right to tell any story they want to tell.”

Gabrielle Union’s motherly mindset

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union is “in the right mindset” to be a mother.
The 46-year-old actress welcomed her daughter Kaavia – whom she has with her husband Dwayne Wade, and who was born via surrogate mother – into the world two months ago, and says she’s glad she waited until her 40s to become a mother, because she thinks having a tot any earlier would mean she’d be “greatly influenced” by “FOMO” (the fear of missing out).
She said: “Any earlier and the FOMO would have greatly influenced how I parented. I’ve seen it. I’ve done it. I’ve done it well. I’ve gotten all the T-shirts. Now I’m in the right mindset and mental space, and I’m open to being the best mom I can be.”
Two months in to her parenting journey and Gabrielle admits she’s “exhausted”, but wouldn’t change it for the world.
She added: “[It’s] like that second day in Vegas where you’re all, ‘I’m not sleeping Saturday away. I’m going to day-party and rally!’ But your body is like, ‘Are you crazy?’ You’re exhausted and you kind of start to feel a little ill because you haven’t slept.”
And the ‘Being Mary Jane’ star already knows the key lesson she wants to instil in her daughter, as she says she wants to make sure her tot is able to be “free” to make her own mistakes.
Speaking to Women’s Health magazine’s March issue, she said: “I want to let her be free. I want to instill in her morals, values. And then I want to give her space to fill in those gaps, fall on her ass, and make mistakes. Get an F because she didn’t study. Pick the wrong dude. Pick the wrong friends and figure it out. I don’t want to be super judge-y.”
