Coronation Street and EastEnders face schedule changes

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘EastEnders’ are having a schedule change for the next two Fridays.
On February 22 and March 1, viewers will have a change in the running order to avoid a clash thanks to a ‘Corrie’ special.
Rather than its usual 7.30pm and 8.30pm double bill on ITV – with ‘EastEnders’ in the middle on BBC – the Wetherfield soap will instead run for a one hour time slot, which means fans will be able to switch over to check in on the events in Albert Square as soon as ‘Corrie’ is finished.
It means viewers won’t have to choose between the shows or rely on catch-up or recordings to watch them both.
It’s not known how long the altered Friday night schedule will run for, as the guide beyond March 1 won’t be confirmed until net week.
As well as those changes, ‘EastEnders’ fans will also be without the soap on Monday (18.02.19) as the Beeb will be running football coverage of Manchester United and Chelsea’s FA Cup clash.
To make up for it, tonight (14.02.19) will see two episodes hit the air.
Similarly, only one ‘Corrie’ episode will air on Wednesday (20.02.19) due to the BRIT Awards airing on ITV.

Kristoff St John ‘saw late son Julian’ before he died

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristoff St John saw visions of his late son Julian before he died.
The ‘Young and Restless’ actor passed away earlier this month at the age of 52, and the star’s ex-wife, Mia St. John, has now claimed that Kristoff was “depressed” at the time of his death.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “He called me at 11 a.m. and the first thing he said was, ‘Mia, thank God you answered’. He was just so depressed.
“He was drinking and just saying, like, nonsense – that he didn’t want to be here anymore.”
Mia – who is a professional boxer – subsequently explained that the actor was so disorientated as he phoned her, he mistakenly thought he saw their late son Julian.
In reality, Julian took his own life in 2014 as he underwent mental health treatment at a hospital in Long Beach.
Mia recalled: “He said, ‘Julian is at the door I gotta get the door,’ [He] said, ‘Okay, let’s talk to Julian, bring Julian in.’
“Julian came in and he said, ‘Julian is gonna take me for a walk now’ and I said, ‘No you aren’t going for a walk right now.'”
Following Julian’s death, Mia and Kristoff founded the El Saber es Poder (Knowledge is Power) Foundation to battle mental illness.
And now, Mia has once again reiterated the need to invest more time and energy into understanding mental health issues.
She said: “When Julian passed, he died of a broken heart. These mental health issues are real.
“Kristoff suffered from bipolar, our son had schizophrenia and I just felt like it was so hard for people to pay attention.”

Gillian Anderson: Embracing grey hairs is a big decision

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian Anderson thinks choosing to embrace her grey hairs will represent a “big decision” in her career.
The 50-year-old actress has acknowledged that she’ll move into a “a pretty obvious age bracket” when she allows her hair to go grey, and she’s admitted that it’ll be an important moment in her career.
She said: “There will be a point in my career where I make an active decision to allow my hair to be grey.
“That is a big decision, because all of a sudden it means one is being cast from that point on in a pretty obvious age bracket.”
The actress – who is, perhaps, best-known for her starring role in ‘The X-Files’ – conceded that ageing is something she simply has to “come to terms with”.
Speaking to the BBC, she explained: “There have definitely been moments where I’ve been in a new show or film and been the oldest person there.
“No matter what our profession is, it’s something all of us will have to come to terms with.”
Earlier this month, Gillian admitted it was “arresting” to see how her appearance has changed during her career.
However, she is now philosophical about the consequences of ageing.
She shared: “If you watch yourself on film, there is a certain point where you see yourself change. It’s arresting.
“It can either be completely traumatic or something that instigates a shift of consciousness towards thinking about what’s important. But you have to go through that trauma first, to mourn.”
The actress now accepts she can’t do anything to halt the ageing process and is, therefore, determined to “celebrate” it.
She said: “The thing to remember is, how one looks in the mirror is the youngest one will ever look again. So you can’t do anything but celebrate it!
“Ageing is something we all need to find a way to embrace – the inevitability of age, of decline, of … rot.”

Avril Lavigne remains ‘super close’ to Chad Kroeger

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne is still “super close” to her ex-husband Chad Kroeger.
The ‘Complicated’ singer split from the Nickelback frontman in 2015 after two years of marriage, but she’s admitted her former flame has helped her through her battle with Lyme disease.
She told PEOPLE: “Chad and I are super close … I’m really grateful to have someone like him in my life who cared while I was getting back up on my feet.”
There are no hard feelings between the former couple, and Avril described Chad as a “cheerleader”.
The pop star shared: “He’s just always been a cheerleader of mine and always been such a huge fan. He’s in my corner, he’s on my side, and he’s always been really great.”
Meanwhile, Avril also revealed the ‘Photograph’ hitmaker has had a big impact on her songwriting.
She explained: “He took me under his wing, he got me in the studio, he recorded me, he was very encouraging.
“He helped me with some of the songs that I wrote, because he’s such a good songwriter – I’d be stuck on a lyric or stuck on a part, and he’d help me finish a song if I couldn’t and he would record it.”
On Friday (15.02.19), Avril will release ‘Head Above Water’, her sixth LP and first album since 2013, which features songs written during her health woes.
Speaking candidly, the star admitted she turned to her faith, family and music to help her through the tough times.
She said: “Music really lifted me up and made me feel better. At first I didn’t know I was making an album – I just naturally turned to songwriting in a time of healing.”

Brie Larson was ‘overwhelmed’ by Emma Stone’s Oscars success

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson found Emma Stone’s Oscars success “overwhelming”.
The 29-year-old actress was “able to feel it more” when Emma, 30, won her Best Actress accolade for her performance in ‘La La Land’ than when she previously won the same award for her role in ‘Room’.
Brie – who starred in ‘Room’ in 2015 – told The Hollywood Reporter: “I hated being alone in that moment, I was able to feel it more through [Emma] than I ever was able to feel it for myself.
“It’s just too overwhelming. But seeing it from, like, your sister, I was able to just celebrate it and feel the love and acceptance of it in a way that I hadn’t been able to before.”
The ‘Captain Marvel’ star subsequently spoke about her work with Time’s Up, which was created in light of the Hollywood sex scandal.
The ’21 Jump Street’ actress admitted that although there are still many obstacles that need to be overcome, she feels her work is effective.
Brie said: “Time’s Up still takes up a solid amount of my time every day; we now have a lot of ways to try to hold ourselves and others accountable.
“We’re also dealing with a lot of institutions – agencies, unions, studios. But I’m constantly getting emails that make me go, ‘This is working.'”
Brie was also “stoked” by Disney CEO Bob Iger’s response to the movement’s recent initiative – which called on movie studio to hire more female filmmakers.
The Hollywood star was thrilled by Disney’s ambition, which insisted that at least 40 percent of the studio’s upcoming movie slate would be directed by women.

Spencer Matthews gets Good Morning Britain role

OHMYGOSSIP — Spencer Matthews will host the showbiz section on ‘Good Morning Britain’.
The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star will be joining Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley on the morning talk show and is excited about bringing showbiz gossip to its viewers as he is a big fan of the programme himself.
Spencer said: “I’m so excited to join the GMB team this Monday and bring all the latest entertainment gossip, although not talking about myself might feel odd!
“I’m an avid viewer of the programme as I am up early with my newborn and nothing prepares you for the day quite like watching Piers Morgan’s brilliant rants – of which both my son Theodore and I are fans. See you on Monday!”
Spencer – who has five-month-old son Theodore with his wife Vogue – will be temporarily filling in for the show’s current Entertainment Editor, Richard Arnold.
Richard Madeley – who has been presenting while regular host Piers Morgan has been away – will return for three days alongside Kate Garraway. He will present on Monday February 18 to Wednesday February 20.
He said: “It’s huge fun sitting in for Piers. ‘Good Morning Britain’ has been on a real roll since its launch – great viewing figures, great guests, loads of exclusives and a good dollop of daftness mixed in. Unlike some live programmes, their highly experienced producers trust their presenters to go with the natural flow of the show, if necessary to come right off script, so literally anything could happen. And it’s such a treat working with Kate, Charlotte, Ranvir, Sean and Susanna. I’m hugely looking forward to next week and I hope you can join us.”
The 53-year-old acid-tongued television presenter has recently been absent from the show as he is in America.

Cardi B spotted wearing engagement ring

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has been spotted wearing her engagement ring for the first time since she rekindled her romance with Offset.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker had removed the piece of jewellery when she split from her rapper husband but things seem to be going well for the couple if the piece of jewellery is anything to go by.
The pair were seen out together at the Ignite Angels and Devils Pre-Valentine’s Day party in Bel Air, California, with Cardi’s massive engagement ring clearly on display, E! News reports.
Cardi had previously spoken out about why she refused to go to marriage counselling with Offset, even though they were trying to work things out for the sake of their six-month-old baby daughter Kulture.
She said: “I decided on my own. Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me. I didn’t want to go to marriage counselling. He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counsellor or nothing that could make me change my mind.”
And Cardi also made it clear that she won’t be jumping back into bed with her husband just because she “likes sex” and is “sexual” – because she wants to be a “good example” to her baby daughter.
She added: “If you think Imma automatically hop onto you after a marriage that just means you think I’m a sleaze. And I’m not. I have a kid – I have to show an example. Just because I’m out there and very sexual doesn’t mean that I have to be whorish. I like to have sex. That doesn’t mean I have to have it with everybody, not that I judge women who want to have sex with the world.”
Offset and Cardi split amid rumours that he had tried to organise a threesome with two other women.

Prince William knows about ‘fear’ of fatherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William knows all about the “fear” of fatherhood.
The 36-year-old royal – who has Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, nine months, with his wife Duchess Catherine – openly discussed the struggles of becoming a dad and the “fears” of having a newborn baby around.
During a visit to a ‘Future Dads’ session, which helps to provide practical guidance and advice for fathers-to-be, he said: “The fear of having a newborn baby, that’s very vulnerable and that’s what you spend most of your time worrying about, thinking what do I do? And that’s the thing isn’t it? It’s very daunting of how tiny they are when they first arrive. They are so fragile and everything’s so tiny, their little fingers and toes, you do feel like if you move them around too much they’re going to break almost but they don’t!”
The Duke of Cambridge met with Rick Karadia-Hudson, who was attending the sessions ahead of the arrival of his first child in May, and Prince William drew on his own experience and quipped that it only got more hectic the older the child got.
When Rick said “they move about so much”, the Prince joked back: “Wait ’til they’re nine months, then they’re off. You’ve got one leg and one arm!”
Meanwhile, Duchess Catherine had previously admitted her husband had struggled with fatherhood as she spoke to single father Billy during a visit to Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in north London.
Speaking about their meeting, Billy said: “She said he did not know exactly what to do … She was saying William was sort of similar and I just wanted to let her know how Family Action have been there for me and I think they need more support.”

Rebel Wilson: Dating is challenging in LA

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson says it is a “challenge” dating in Los Angeles.
The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star thinks Hollywood’s beauty standards are “very unrealistic” and joked that she finds it easier to date elsewhere in the world.
She said: “Los Angeles is a bit of a challenge. I remember when we shot ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ in Atlanta. Boy, was I popular there! I should move to a city like Atlanta. I was considered a 10 there. Not to say the people in Atlanta aren’t good looking. But Hollywood’s beauty standards are very unrealistic.”
And the 38-year-old actress has revealed what her ideal man is like.
She added to People magazine: “I look for someone who is physically bigger than me. It makes you feel more feminine. If I feel like I’m going to crush a guy in a cage fight, then they are probably not the guy for me. It’s wanting someone who is kind person. I’ve been so lucky to create this awesome life for myself that I want to find that person to share it with. It can be a roller coaster being in the public eye, so I guess I [really just want] genuine niceness and supportiveness.”
Rebel previously confessed she doesn’t consider herself to be beautiful.
Speaking about her ‘Pitch Perfect’ co-stars, she said: “Everyone is so different looking and I think that’s great but I think all the girls, I’ll take myself out, they’re so beautiful and they’re all so gorgeous. They all have a light that shines through and I think that’s why we have so much fun working together, because they’re beautiful inside and out.”

Alexis Ohanian reveals secret to successful relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexis Ohanian has revealed the secret to his successful relationship with Serena Williams.
The ‘Reddit’ co-founder has been married to the tennis ace since 2017 and believes taking time out of their busy schedule and spending every Sunday together has made them stronger.
Writing for Glamour magazine, he shared: “We have a simple Sunday tradition. Growing up, my dad would make pancakes every Sunday. They were delicious, but it wasn’t just about the food. It was about being together. So on Sunday mornings, I make breakfast for the family and it doesn’t cost me a thing, except for gluten-free flour (I had to modify Dad’s recipe a bit), some eggs, almond milk, a secret ingredient, and berries (Olympia loves raspberries). There are no phones, just conversation. And we’ll spend the day together lounging around the house, or playing hide-and-seek, or going for a swim in the pool. Just being a family on those days means so much to both of us.”
Alexis and Serena share Alexis Olympia Jr. together and the 37-year-old professional tennis player previously admitted she doesn’t like being away from her daughter.
She said: “I spend so much time with her, every single day. We literally do everything. So I really don’t like being away from her, but I also think it’s healthy, in a way, for me to do what I need to do and be that working mom, and then go back home and be the mom.”
Though she loves being a mother, Serena admitted she was shocked when she realised how much she’d missed the pressure of competing out on the court.
She said: “It definitely surprises me. I have this amazing child, all these grand slams … it was all super bonus. I definitely feel a lot less pressure out there but I’m a little bit shocked at how much I almost want that pressure.”

Ciara’s Valentine’s Day gift

OHMYGOSSIP — Ciara’s favourite Valentine’s Day gift is spending time with her “greatest love”.
The ‘Level Up’ hitmaker says the best present she got for the annual romantic holiday is spending time with her husband Russell Wilson.
She told People magazine: “With such busy schedules, there is nothing better than taking time on Valentine’s Day to be super focused on one another. The best present is just being present with my greatest love! I also look forward to the homemade gifts from my kids.”
The 33-year-old singer previously revealed she is very “blessed” to have a family.
She shared: “I’m very blessed with having the best support system that I could ever ask for or every dream of. My husband is pretty awesome … You see Russell playing on the field; he’s that same person at home. I think even cooler! He’s an awesome support system to me and best friend so that makes a world of difference.”
Ciara admitted she feels “inspired” by her husband Russell in a sweet message last November to mark his 29th birthday.
She said in the video clip: “I love you so much. I am so excited for this special day for you. It is your birthday, but I also hope you feel like every day is your birthday or at least it is my goal to love you that way. May this year be everything you hope for and more – everything that you work hard for and more, you work hard. And you inspire me. I am grateful for the man that you are to our house, the father that you are to our kids, the lover that you are. You inspire me to be better. You make me a better woman. I am a better woman because of you. You make me want to figure out ways to love in a way that I never knew I could but I sure want to try hard as heck to make you happy because you make me feel so good. I hope you feel all the love you make me feel on this special day. I love you. Happy Birthday. You are the best … in the world. You are the best to me. I love you. Happy Birthday!”

Lindsay Lohan wants her parents back together

OHMYGOSSIP — Lindsay Lohan is trying to get her parents back together.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star wants her mother Dina and father Michael – who divorced in 2007 – to reunite and even tried to set them up, like her character did in ‘The Parent Trap’ movie.
He told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “I actually like Jesse, but my children still want Dina and I back together. They have for years. As late as my last birthday, my children and I went to dinner at Per Se in NY City only to have a ‘party crasher,’ Dina, show up. Unbeknownst to me, Lindsay set it up and when Dina walked in Lindsay said, ‘Happy ‘Parent Trap,’ Daddy!'”
It comes after Michael gave Dina’s new boyfriend the seal of approval.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate revealed on the show she had been romancing Jesse Nadler, who she has never met, or even spoken to on FaceTime, for five years.
He said: “The guy reached out to me on Facebook via message. We texted for about an hour. He even sent me snapshots of his communication with Dina to prove himself to be true. He called, we spoke for over an hour [and] got into great detail. He’s a really nice guy with a good heart and I like him. And if he makes Dina happy, I’m happy for them. Dina needs somebody in her life she can trust and quite honestly, after my communication with him and knowing her, they are perfect for each other. Because they plan on a face to face at the end of the show, I feel it’s appropriate talking about this to put the rumours to rest.”

Hailey Bieber finds it ‘scary to be this young and married’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber finds it “scary to be this young and married”.
The 22-year-old model – who tied the knot with Justin Bieber last year – feels lucky to be married to her “best friend” and she loves the “forever” aspect, even though she finds it daunting at such a young age.
She said: “It’s definitely scary to be this young and be married. It’s a scary thing, but it’s also the person that I’ve literally been in love with for so many years. I feel like he’s my best friend. And we just get to do life together forever, now. I think the forever aspect for me is just like, you don’t think about that until you get married. And then you’re like, OK, this is really like, this is forever. Meaning like, there is no end.”
And Hailey has confessed she wasn’t in “any serious relationships” before she got involved with Justin and says that why she described the jump into marriage as a bit of a “scary leap”.
She added: “[Before Justin], I was somebody who was never really in any serious relationships. I’ve always been so independent. So for me, trying to co-habitate with someone and learn how to like, do life with another person, that directly has just been interesting. It’s so different. But I think that’s also what it’s like when you’re in a serious relationship … You have to consider another person … That’s why I say it’s scary because I didn’t have any of that experience before. I went from being a baby, not having a lot of experience, to being married.”
Hailey and Justin had a rocky start to their relationship where they “weren’t really together” and eventually fell out of contact.
Speaking to Kendall Jenner for ZAZA World Radio series on Apple Music’s Beats 1, she shared: “We weren’t really together.
“It was this weird limbo. We were friends and then it was like more, and then we weren’t. And then we didn’t speak for a very long time.”

Avril Lavigne: Music helped me heal

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne says music helped her “heal”.
The ‘Complicated’ hitmaker has been battling with Lyme Disease, a bacterial infection spread through infected ticks, and she admits heading into the studio to work on her new single and album has helped her.
She said: “Music has been more healing than ever for me. I was at a point where I wasn’t sure whether I’d be working or even doing music again, and then I started writing songs from my bedroom. ‘Head Above Water’ and ‘Warrior’ were the first two songs that I wrote, and then they just kept coming. It was cool for me to see because it showed me that music is such a big part of who I am without even thinking about it or trying to make a record.”
And the 34-year-old singer admits it is a “little scary” getting back into the swing of things as she plans to promote her new music.
She added to USA Today: “It’s a little scary. I’m like, ‘I just want to step into this, pace myself and enjoy every moment.’ Making that record was a big milestone for me and something I’m really proud of, and now I’m [starting to] get back up on stage. So I have my family with me and a good group of people around me that are helping me get through this.”
Meanwhile, Avril previously admitted she learned a lot from her battle with Lyme disease and it has changed her outlook on life.
She said: “When you go through something like that, you realise how fulfilling simple things are – things I could do anymore, like being able to get up in the morning and go to the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee. It taught me patience; it taught me being more present. That was a beautiful lesson.”
