Duff McKagan gives update on ‘real’ GNR album

OHMYGOSSIP — Duff McKagan says Guns N’ Roses new album is “real” but the band want to surprise the fans.
The ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ bassist – who is back with founding bandmates Axl Rose and Slash alongside Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer – has opened up about the possibility of a new LP from the legendary rockers, and he admitted the band won’t be tied down to any kind of schedule.
He told ‘Trunk Nation’: “Oh, it’s real, but the fun part and the cool part about Guns N’ Roses is we don’t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens.
“It’s never been that band that there’s a direct schedule of how we do things. I’ve heard some magnificent stuff that Axl has, really cool stuff he’s been working on.
“So I’m excited about the possibilities with that, of course. I don’t mean to get anybody rabid. Our day will happen when it happens, that’s for sure.”
The band’s last record – 2008’s ‘Chinese Democracy’ – feature Axl and a number of other artists, meaning this will be the first to feature the original trio together since ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’.
Slash previously admitted the success of the group’s ‘Not In This Lifetime Tour’ had lit a fire in the band.
He said: “I think we’re going to go well on into the future.
“I mean, Axl’s got a ton of s**t that he recorded already, so we’re going to get in there and just start getting into that thing, and then if we do a record and then do a tour, I could see that cycle going on endlessly.”

Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry was on a Biffy Clyro message board at 15

OHMYGOSSIP — Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry was on a Biffy Clyro message board as a teenager.
The 31-year-old singer admitted that when she was 15 she was a member of an online discussion site with other fans of the Scottish rock band – made up of Simon Neil, James Johnston and Ben Johnston – and insisted that being a “weirdo” as a teenager turns “you into a functional, semi-interesting adult”.
In an interview with Q magazine, she said: “Recently, one of my friends was visiting and we were talking about Idlewind and Biffy Clyro and we went down quite an intense YouTube hole looking up nostalgic songs.
“I guess that’s emo. I was on the Biffy Clyro message board when I was a teenager. I’ve met them a few times and they seem nice, but I try not to unload my creepy fandom on that level.
“I was more of a quiet lurker than an active poster, just soaking up all the information. Being a weirdo at 25 turns you into a functional and semi-interesting adult.”
It isn’t just the ‘Many Of Horror’ hitmakers that Lauren is a fan of though, as the ‘Mother We Share’ singer confessed that she was starstruck when she saw Blondie singer Debbie Harry being “standoffish and sassy”.
She said: “A couple of years ago I saw Debbie Harry at something and that was exciting because I’ve loved her since I was tiny.
“She blazed a trail. I could hear her being standoffish and sassy to someone and I was like ‘Yeah that’s what I want to believe Debbie Harry is still doing’. She’s still out there, sassing it up.”

Geri Horner wanted Spice Girls reunion for her bandmates

OHMYGOSSIP — Geri Horner wanted to reunite Spice Girls for her bandmates.
Although the ‘Wannabe’ singer – who was known as Ginger Spice during the group’s heyday – admitted she wasn’t particularly bothered about getting the band back together, she was swayed when she heard how much it meant to Emma Bunton.
Speaking to the Sunday Times magazine, she revealed: “We went round to see Mel C and she said she didn’t want to do it. Emma said, ‘But I just want my children to see their mummy up there doing it.’
“And it really touched me. I was like, ‘Oh my God, we have to try and make something happen.’ ”
Geri, 46, was also adamant about the reunion – which will see the girls hit the road for a UK tour – because of bandmate Mel B’s emotional divorce from husband Stephen Belafonte.
During an incredibly tough time for Mel, she has since revealed she attempted suicide in 2014, and her friend hopes the live shows will give her a “joyful experience”.
She added: “I could tell something was … I could feel her energy. She would sometimes be quite defensive and sometimes quite vulnerable. Her walls were high at that time.
“[The tour] will be a joyful experience. I thought it was paramount that we come back together and have a really fun time.”
Although Victoria Beckham won’t be joining the reunion, she recently admitted she would be taking her children – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and seven-year-old Harper, whom she has with husband David Beckham – to watch her former bandmates in action.
She said: “I’ll always be a Spice Girl … I’m proud of them. It’s going to be the best show. I can’t wait to take my kids and see it. With my business now, I just wouldn’t be able to do it. I wish them so much luck and love and in spirit, I will absolutely be there with them.”

Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt ‘joked about who would die first’

OHMYGOSSIP — Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt would “joke about who would die first” and how they would pass away.
The Status Quo rock star has opened up about his late band mate – who sadly aged 68 in 2016 from sepsis following an infection of a pre-existing shoulder injury – and he admitted they often used to wonder how they would go.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday’s EVENT magazine, Francis said: “Me and Rick [Parfitt] used to joke about who would die first. We would laugh our heads off and describe ways in which we died – always crazy overdoses.
“I swore it would be me. He swore it would be him. If we’d ever been successful in America both of us would be long dead because we’d have had even more money to blow on booze and cocaine. But Rick was right in the end. I sobered up and he never did.”
Francis added he has calmed down from the rock ‘n’ roll antics of the ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’ prime in the 1970s, and he is now content to grow old.
He joked: “If you want to know what I really like doing, it’s sitting here at home waiting for death. I’m an old man. I’m nearly 70… I love trees. I love jigsaw puzzles and crosswords and shows like Endeavour and Vera on the telly.
“And, when you get to my age, I’ll be doing my jigsaw one minute then my head will be hanging and I’ll have drifted off for ten minutes. It’s lovely. Those little catnaps are absolute bliss.”
Meanwhile, in his memoirs ‘I Talk Too Much: My Autobiography’, the guitarist revealed how he still sees his friend in his dreams.
He wrote: “Since he went, I’ve been dreaming about Rick as though he’s not dead. In my dreams he’s always got a big smile on his face, like he often had in life.
“I say, ‘I thought you were dead!’ He says, ‘Yeah, well, you know.’ And I think, yep, that’s Rick. Turning up even though he’s dead. Typical.”

Keira Knightley: I hate being told to relax

OHMYGOSSIP — Keira Knightley hates being told to “relax” when she’s acting.
The 33-year-old actress says people often try to remind her that “acting is relaxation”, but she finds it difficult to switch off when she’s on set, and only discovered it was acceptable to make mistakes when she watched Dame Judi Dench filming in 2005 film ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
When asked what the best advice she’s received is, she said: “I’ve been told so many times ‘Acting is relaxation, acting is relaxation,’ but you f***ing try it! And the more you try to relax, the more tense you feel. But on ‘Pride and Prejudice’, [Dame] Judi Dench forgot her lines in our scene and I suddenly realised, ‘Oh, actually, mistakes are fine.'”
The ‘Colette’ star received criticism for her role in the flick when she was first cast, but says she managed to brush it off thanks to her “f**k you attitude”.
She added: “I think I’ve always had a ‘F**k you’ attitude, and that’s helpful sometimes. With ‘Pride and Prejudice’, everyone was like, ‘She can’t act and that’s going to be dreadful.’ So I thought, ‘Well f**k you!'”
And Keira sometimes finds it hard to leave her characters on set, as she says the 2012 movie ‘Anna Karenina’ saw her bring the titular character home, much to the annoyance of her husband James Righton.
Asked by Notebook magazine if she ever finds it hard to switch off, she said: “Yes, in ‘Anna Karenina’. It was technical to film, so it was the only time I’ve ever – not intentionally, but totally – taken the character home. And my then boyfriend, now husband – f***ing miracle that we stayed together after that – was like, ‘I really don’t want to live with Anna Karenina ever again.’ I terrified the cast too. It was a bit much!”

Kelly Brook: I felt like a failure after miscarriages

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook felt like a “failure” after suffering two miscarriages.
The 39-year-old model lost a baby girl in 2011 – whilst she was dating former partner Thom Evans – when she was five months pregnant, before suffering another miscarriage later the same year, and has said she struggled to push through the “difficult time” before publicly addressing her heartbreak on ‘Loose Women’ last year.
She said: “I feel like it’s such a taboo subject and it wasn’t really something I’d planned on speaking about. I’d never really discussed it publicly, but I thought it would maybe give comfort to other women who have been through the same thing.
“You can feel a bit of failure if you go through miscarriage or feel that it’s quite unfair, but as much as it was a real loss and a difficult time, I got through it.”
And since pushing through the devastating losses, the Heart FM radio presenter has said she’s come to terms with the idea that she probably won’t have any children of her own.
Kelly – who is now romancing Jeremy Parisi – added: “I’ve sat down and asked myself: ‘Do I really want to have children? Is this something I really want to do?’ And I’ve realised that actually it’s not something I’ve always wanted and I’m fine with it.
“It’s sad that it happened and obviously I wish that it hadn’t gone that way. But there is life after that, and I’ve found happiness in other things, like gardening. I’m a natural nurturer, and that was my therapy. I can’t control a miscarriage – it’s something completely out of my control.”

Ashley Banjo gives adorable shoutout to newborn daughter on Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Banjo promised his newborn daughter he would “be home soon” during Sunday’s (24.02.19) episode of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 30-year-old dancer is on the judging panel of the ITV ice dancing competition, and took a moment to shout out his daughter Rose Adura Banjo- whom he welcomed with his wife Francesca Abbott on Thursday (21.02.19) – during the live show on Sunday.
Speaking after host Holly Willoughby asked him about life as a new father, Ashley said: “I am in love. I know she is not technically watching yet but, ‘Daddy will be home soon Rosie, I love you’.”
The Diversity star also thanked the show’s make-up team as he joked that he looked “horrendous” following several days of late nights since his tot’s birth.
Before the show – which saw the remaining five celebrities competing for a place in the semi-finals next week – kicked off, Ashley posted a picture on social media in which he said his daughter is “everything” to him now.
He wrote alongside the snap of himself: “Backstage about to go live for @dancingonice! Last time I was standing here I didn’t have a daughter… Now she’s everything… #nextchapter #time (sic)”
The dancer revealed the news of his daughter’s birth in a sweet post on Instagram earlier this week.
He wrote: “Our beautiful daughter came into the world at 6:45pm on 21st February 2019 – weighing a healthy 8lbs 13oz.
“Her name is Rose Adura Banjo. I am in the deepest love ever with my little family @francescabanjo I love you and am so proud #nextchapter (sic)”
Ashley had previously revealed he is finding the idea of fatherhood “quite surreal”, but is delighted about the prospect after the couple went through a “tough” fertility journey.
He shared last month: “It’s already quite surreal for me thinking there is a little baby Banjo on the way. A little girl. It’s been tough. People assume, I did it myself, they think, ‘If you want a baby, have one.’ It doesn’t happen like that.”

Michael Jackson accused of child sex abuse by former maid

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Jackson has been accused again of being a child sex predator by his former maid Adrian McManus.
Adrian previously made allegations of child sexual misconduct against the King of Pop – who passed away in 2009 – earlier this year, and has now doubled down on her comments, claiming she saw him “fondling” children on several occasions through her time working at his home.
Speaking to Australian TV show ’60 Minutes’ – which aired on Sunday (24.02.19), she said: “They were sitting on his lap. I just saw a lot of fondling. Him maybe rubbing his hands in kids’ hair, kissing them. Petting the kids … kind of by the rear end. I didn’t think it was appropriate because they’re not his children … I just didn’t think it was right.”
Her allegations have been corroborated by another staffer named Melanie Bagnall, who worked as a security guard at the Neverland Ranch, and said claimed once saw the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker with a child “sitting on his lap”.
She said: “[I saw] a child sitting on his lap and he had his hands close to the boy’s genitalia. Like, cupping his genitalia.”
Meanwhile, in an interview given earlier this year, Adrian claimed she often found the “underwear” of young children in Michael’s room.
Speaking to DailyMailTV, she said: “There was a lot of Vaseline around Neverland, a lot in Michael’s bedroom. I didn’t question it, because he was my boss and you just do what you’re supposed to do, but I would wonder.
“When I would go in to pick up Mr Jackson’s bedroom, many times when there were his special guests there, little boys, they were taking baths with him in his Jacuzzi. He had a Jacuzzi in the bedroom and I used to have to let the water out of the Jacuzzi, so I had to put hangers together in order to get to the middle of the Jacuzzi to let the water out.
“But Michael would have his underwear floating in the water and the little boys’ underwear floating in the water together. If they weren’t floating in the water, they were outside on the floor around the Jacuzzi. So I would find stuff like that.”

Amy Winehouse hologram tour postponed

OHMYGOSSIP — The planned Amy Winehouse hologram tour has been postponed.
The estate of the late ‘Back to Black’ singer – who passed away aged 27 in 2011 – teamed up with the BASE Hologram company to create a virtual likeness of the star to go on the road with a live band and backing singers to perform “digitally remastered” versions of her classic hits.
However, BASE has now issued a statement regarding the cancellation of the shows and admitted they “encountered some unique challenges and sensitivities” with regards to making the performance “respectful” towards Amy and her “incredible” legacy.
They tweeted: “BASE Hologram is committed to remembering Amy Winehouse and her legacy in the most celebratory and respectful way possible.
“In developing the type of highly ambitious state of the art hologram/augmented reality theatrical event that would truly capture her genius and incredible artistic and social contributions, we have encountered some unique challenges and sensitivities, therefor we are putting the tour on hold until we determine the best path to a creatively spectacular production that would properly honour Amy’s legacy at its highest-calibre.”
The company’s chairman, Brian Becker, added to Billboard: “Developing our productions is a cross between a Broadway show and a concert spectacle which requires creative engineering and that type of creativity does not necessarily follow a schedule. “And that’s what happened with Amy Winehouse, we promised to celebrate her life in the most respectful way possible … and to ensure we keep that promise we are putting the tour on hold while we plot out a creatively spectacular production fitting of her remarkable career.”
Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, announced the tour last October.
He said at the time: “This is a dream for us. To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words.
“Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”
The run was expected to begin in autumn 2019, with money raised from ticket sales going towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Hologram tours have become largely popular ever since a $400,000 digital replica of Tupac Shakur took to the stage at Coachella in 2012, while a hologram of the late Michael Jackson danced to ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ at the Billboard Music Awards in 2014.
BASE have also orchestrated two other major tours, one featuring Roy Orbison and the other Maria Callas.

Michelle Keegan gets eyebrows microbladed after she ‘over plucked’ them

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan gets her eyebrows microbladed because she “over plucked them in the 90s”.
The 31-year-old actress is able to keep her morning beauty routine “to a minimum” because she has a lash lifting treatment and semi-permanent microblading, and it means she can concentrate on keeping her skin looking flawless.
Speaking to The Metro newspaper, Michelle said: “I got my eyebrows microbladed. I had it done because I over plucked in the 90s and I can’t grow them back – if I could get bushy eyebrows again I would. It helps me with time in the morning, I hate taking a long time getting ready, so the fact I have a LVL Lash Lift means my eyelashes are already lifted and because my eyebrows are microbladed I don’t tend to do much to my eyes, or brows. It’s more my skin really. I like to keep everything to a minimum because it’s easier.”
The brunette beauty – who is married to Mark Wright – keeps her skin hydrated by drinking “a pint of water every morning” to kickstart her beauty ritual.
She added: “My skin goes through phases, it always changes. At the minute it’s going alright, but when I was away filming for the first time in South Africa for ‘Our Girl’, my skin went really bad. I had really bad breakouts all under the skin, so I saw a dermatologist. My skin changes with the climate so I just change my skincare routine in line with the weather.
“In the summer I tend not to wear night moisturiser, but in the winter I do and that’s when I see the change. It took me a while to get it under control. And I can sometimes see it when I’m on camera. But also around this time, I didn’t drink a lot of fluids. Ah, this is a really good tip actually – my friend recommend that every morning when you wake up drink a pint of water because it kickstarts your body, which is now something I do. And yes, I do see and feel a difference because your body has fasted for eight hours, you’ve not had any fluids so your skin is dehydrated.”

Inbetweeners creators pen football comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Inbetweeners’ creators are making a new comedy series about football.
Iain Morris and Damon Beesley will reunite for the first time since the E4 student show on ‘Afternoons’, which will follow the “misadventures” of three young players at a fictional Premiership team.
The half-hour show has been commissioned for six episodes on BBC2 and will focus on the fact the trio “from around the world are far less proficient with women, money and social media than they are at scoring goals”.
And BBC bosses have promised the programme will feature “memorable dialogue and excruciating humiliation”.
Shane Allen, Controller of BBC Comedy, said: “Having Iain and Damon back together on a new scripted piece is about as good as it gets in comedy. Their take on what happens off the pitch brims with their skill at creating a gang of instantly recognisable characters, memorable dialogue, deftly tuned plots and excruciating humiliation is never far away.”
The writers – who will also serve as showrunners alongside Caroline Leddy and Tom Werner – are “incredibly grateful” to have had their new programme given the green light.
They said in a joint statement: “We’re delighted to be working together again, and incredibly grateful to Shane Allen and the BBC for the faith they have shown in the idea.
“We’re hoping to show viewers the hilarious inner lives of three young men who just happen to have a very stressful job in the public eye.”
Casting details for the new show has yet to be announced.

New James Bond film called Shatterhand

OHMYGOSSIP — The new James Bond film will be called ‘Shatterhand’.
The next chapter in the spy franchise will enter production on April 6 this year in Pinewood Studios in London, England, as well as Matera, Italy and after previously being simply known as Bond 25, it’s working title has now been revealed via a listing in trade publication Production Weekly.
The upcoming film – which is helmed by Cary Fukunaga and will likely be Daniel Craig’s last performance as the suave superspy – is set to be released in April 8, 2020, after being pushed back from February 14 of that year amidst a major rewrite of the script.
Lupita Nyong’o has also been linked the project and according to Baz Bamigboye’s column for the Daily Mail newspaper, producer Barbara Broccoli and Fukunaga have been trying their best to convince the ‘Black Panther’ star to appear in ‘Shatterhand’.
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and Lea Seydoux will all return for the latest installment.
Lea, 33, portrayed Bond girl Dr Madeleine Swann in 2015 movie ‘Spectre’, and she looks set to reprise her role after support from Craig and the director.
Fukanaga previously said: “Lea will be returning.”
Speaking about the British trio, the director added: “You have some of the best actors in the world here. Why wouldn’t I have the best coming back?”
Fukunaga was named as the hotly-anticipated movie’s new director in September after Danny Boyle walked away from the project over “creative differences”.
Producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said at the time: “We are delighted to be working with Cary.
“His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.”

Gwendoline Christie joins cast of The Friend

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwendoline Christie has joined the cast of ‘The Friend’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress will star alongside Jason Segel, Dakota Johnson, and Casey Affleck in the upcoming independent comedy, which will be directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite.
The film will follow the extraordinary real-life story of Nicole (Johnson) and Matthew Teague (Affleck), whose best friend Brad Ingelsby (Segel) decided to put his life on hold and move into the couple’s house after discovering Nicole had six months to live.
It is unknown yet who Gwendoline, 40, will play in the film.
Production will start next month in Fairhope, Alabama.
Kevin Walsh, Michael Pruss, and Ryan Stowell will produce for Ridley Scott’s Scott Free banner with Teddy Schwarzman for Black Bear Pictures, who are set to finance the entire project, while Scott himself will serve as an executive producer and Ben Stillman and Michael Heimler will serve as executive producers alongside Ingelsby, Teague, Scott and Ted Deiker.
In a statement, Matthew previously said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to see the story come to life this way, thanks to the filmmaking vision of Gabriela Cowperthwaite and a script that Brad Ingelsby and I worked on closely together.
“It captures what’s at the heart of the story: deep love and loss, and the saving grace of friendship, to have the talents of Dakota Johnson, Jason Segel and Casey Affleck help the story live on is remarkable.
“And I’m grateful to Scott Free and Black Bear, who have been both passionate and sensitive from day one. I hope the story gives people an honest glimpse of what it means to face mortality, and the value of having a true friend at your side, when that moment comes.”

Bros to record new album documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Bros are set to film a new documentary about making their comeback record.
Matt and Luke Goss have seen a resurgence in popularity since the siblings’ documentary ‘Bros: After The Screaming Stops’ aired last year, which looked at their bitter rivalry which led to their acrimonious split in 1992.
And after it was reported that the ‘When Will I Be Famous’ hitmakers are set to sign a huge deal with Warner Music, Luke has revealed they are planning to let the cameras roll once again to capture any “tension” in the studio, though he insists the project won’t act as a sequel to the film.
According to the Daily Mirror, he said: “You have to hope for a little bit of tension. There should be a nice spiky energy in the studio.
“If you’re all going down the same road, you’re going to make a middle of the road album…
“It wouldn’t be a sequel – that would take away some of the authenticity of the film itself.”
It may come as a surprise that the pair are allowing their creative process to be filmed, as Matt previously admitted it was tough to make the film because it meant giving up his privacy.
He said: “We value our privacy most of all, which is why we’ve never milked our celebrity status for reality TV – so it was a fearful decision. This film nearly broke me. I didn’t want to finish it at one point. I just wanted to go home. I had my life and I love singing but it was starting to get too painful and our relationship was in real jeopardy.”
Since playing their 30th anniversary shows in 2017, the brothers – who will play London’s O2 Academy Brixton on July 5 – have vowed to never break up again because they’ve realised that the “incredible journey” that they’ve been on with their fans made at the height of their fame, in the late 80s, isn’t over yet.
Luke said previously: “We’ve made our decision that Bros will never disband again. We’re still on an incredible journey with our community of fans. We are brothers for life.”
Bros released three studio albums, ‘Push’, ‘The Time’ and ‘Changing Faces’ between 1988 and 1991.

Kim Kardashian West prepares for Oscars with $250 boob mask

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West prepares for the Oscars by having a Black Diamond facial and a $250 boob mask.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star took to her Instagram account on Wednesday night (20.02.19) to share her lengthy facial process with fans to show them how she gets her glowing complexion, with celebrity aesthetician, Joanna Czech at Los Angeles’s Clé de Peau Beauté.
The evening started with a green-light LED therapy facial across her face, which is used to fade hyperpigmentation and brighten the complexion, and was then followed by two masks from 111SKIN, including a ($110) Bio Cellulose Treatment and a ($182) Celestial Black Diamond Lifting and Firming Mask.
Czech – who has a vast celebrity clientele including Anna Wintour, Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, and Liam Neeson – used a bio cellulose face mask, which features ingredients like licorice root extract to brighten her complexion and stimulate collagen production.
The second mask used was what Kim, 38, wore across her neck and chest, and was infused with prestigious black diamond particles (111SKIN’s Celestial Black Diamond Lifting and Firming Mask $250) to aid her A-List glow.
Kim has previously praised the use of facial peels for helping her maintain a radiant glow.
She previously advised fans: “If you like to do at-home skincare treatments, you should add facial peels into your routine. They work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells, including all of those impurities and imperfections. After the peel, a new layer of skin that’s brighter and more radiant is revealed.”
Kim went on to list some of her favourite at-home exfoliating treatments, which included the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel, the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive, the Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel, and Derma E Overnight Peel.
The treatments range in price from a rather expensive $90, down to an affordable $19.

Simon Cowell cries over dog on Britain’s Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell cried on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ after hearing the story of a heroic dog who was nearly stabbed to death with a 10 inch knife.
The 59-year-old television judge was moved to tears when he met Finn the German shepherd, who prevented a cornered suspect from stabbing his handler PC Dave Wardell in an attack in Stevenage, Herts, and jumped in to take wounds in the head and chest.
According to the Mirror newspaper, Simon said: “If I had a golden buzzer left I would give it to you…
“When I hear about animal cruelty, especially dogs, it upsets me. A dog will literally give up its life for you… Finn’s beautiful, I love him.”
After Finn had been wounded by the attacker, he continued to restrain the man and prevented his officer from being assaulted until back-up arrived.
The now retired officer is campaigning for ‘Finn’s Law’ – a legislation he wants to pass for the greater legal protection for service animals – because he wants to prevent a loophole that allows criminals to plead self defence if they have hurt an animal during a crime.
The bill passed its third reading two weeks ago in the Commons and is now going to the Lords.
Meanwhile, the new series of ‘BGT’ will see Dec Donnelly joined by his presenting partner Ant McPartlin, who returned to work last month after taking time off after he was convicted of drink-driving and went to rehab to face his demons.
Dec had admitted late last year that being alongside Ant again would mean the show is “back to normal”.
He said: “It’s back to normal for ‘BGT’ – fingers crossed it will be great.”
