Jordyn Woods cutting herself off from friends

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordyn Woods is “remaining isolated” following her alleged cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson.
The 21-year-old model was allegedly seen getting close to the NBA star – who was in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian, the sister of Jordyn’s best friend Kylie Jenner, at the time – last week, and sources have now said she’s been cut off from her friends ever since the news broke.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine: “Jordyn has remained isolated. Most of her friends have not spoken to her and she’s not responding to almost all of them.”
The news comes after Jordyn moved out of her best friend Kylie’s home last week in the wake of the allegations, as she felt it best to give the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star some “space”.
Previously sources said Jordyn felt “lost” following the scandal, as she feels as though she has “no-one to confide in”.
The insider said: “This was the first time something happened between Tristan and Jordyn. This was not going on for a while – that story out there is not true. Jordyn feels lost and isolated right now. She feels like she has no one to confide in. At this point, the Kardashians aren’t 100 percent sure if Jordyn is going to be cut out of Kylie’s life. But they’re all looking at it as if she better be.”
And although she’s been best friends with Kylie for a number of years, his could be the end of their friendship for good.
Another source claimed: “She’s devastated and can’t believe how her entire world has flipped upside down so fast. She knows making out with Tristan was wrong. Jordyn has always considered herself a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family and has tried to apologise to the family, especially Khloe and Kylie. The family doesn’t want anything to do with her right now as the whole incident is too fresh. No one is sure what the future holds for them having Jordyn in their life.”

Taylor Swift surprises couple with engagement party performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift surprised a couple by performing at their engagement party.
The 29-year-old singer left newly engaged couple Alex Goldschmidt and Ross Girard stunned over the weekend when she turned up to their engagement party at the Sycamore Tavern in Los Angeles to perform her track ‘King of My Heart’.
Alex says he “never asked” the ‘Gorgeous’ hitmaker to come to the couple’s party, but had emailed her to “thank her” for the part she had unknowingly played in helping the pair get together.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, Alex said: “Taylor wanted to do something involving that song, but it was just a matter of her schedule. We had to see if she’d be in LA. I never asked Taylor to do this. I simply told her what her advice over the years has meant to me and thanked her for the part she unknowingly played. She had the idea of singing.
“She gave us the biggest candle I’ve ever seen in my life with a heartfelt handwritten note on her stationary with advice, well wishes and love. She also wrote notes all over the box the candle came in that was wood and nailed shut.”
Alex shared several pictures on social media of himself and Ross with Taylor, where he revealed he made the decision to propose to Ross whilst listening to ‘King of My Heart’ in his car.
He wrote on the video clip of Taylor singing the track: “I decided to propose to Ross listening to this song in my car. I can’t thank Taylor enough for wanting to help make this day so special. #RossAndAlexForever (sic)”
And one day after the special surprise, Alex still couldn’t believe Taylor’s performance was real.
On another series of pictures, he added: “Sorry, I’ll never be over this. Nothing in life feels real and probably never will again. (sic)”

Ellen Page: It’s time to defend transgender people

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen Page says it’s time to “step up” to support transgender people.
The 32-year-old actress – who is married to Emma Portner – has said that transgender people are “under attack” as one of the most “marginalised” groups of people, and believes more needs to be done to protect them.
She said: “We need to realise that a lot of the most marginalised people in our community have been left behind. We need to step up for trans people because they’re under attack.”
The ‘Juno’ star decided to speak out after lesbian tennis player Martina Navratilova was fired from an LGBTQ charity last week for making transphobic comments against transgender female athletes.
Martina said: “A man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organisation is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune, and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies.”
And responding to those comments, Ellen slammed the sporting star for letting history repeat itself, as she branded Martina’s words as “demonising and dehumanising.”
She said: “It’s not like people didn’t use the same arguments for lesbian, gay and bisexual people, but people are also using that rhetoric to make trans people seem like predators. It’s demonising and dehumanising. It’s deplorable.
“In regards to those conversations in the UK, and the treatment and attack on trans rights in the US, it’s utterly cruel.”
The ‘Inception’ actress then called on people around the world to “wake up” and “educate themselves” on issues surrounding the LGBT community.
Speaking to Gay Times magazine, Ellen said: “I deal with a lot of ‘progressive people’, powerful people, who have said ridiculous s**t to me. People need to wake up, they need to educate themselves.”

Rory Douglas-Speed and Nadine Mulkerrin want Hollyoaks co-stars at wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Rory Douglas-Speed and Nadine Mulkerrin want ‘Hollyoaks’ co-stars at their wedding.
The loved up couple – who are both part of the Channel 4 soap’s cast – got engaged late last year, and while they want to keep the guestlist to their closest friends, Rory admitted they count many of their colleagues amongst the nearest and dearest.
Speaking in the latest issue of OK! Magazine, he said: “Everybody is so friendly and so nice, it would be hundreds and hundreds of people if you really thought about it.
“When you’re talking about going to a wedding, it’s friends for life and we’ve definitely got a few on the show.”
And Nadine on the soap quickly added: “Rachel [Adedeji] is singing – she’s already promised!”
Although their on-screen characters Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter surprisingly split last year, the pair’s romance in real life continues to go from strength to strength.
Although Rory was confident about his proposal, he admitted there was some doubt once he actually got down on one knee in Amsterdam to pop the question.
He revealed: “It was terrifying. I felt like I was on my knee for an eternity and I remember saying: ‘Go on, just say something!’
“I felt that she was always going to say yes because we always have a laugh about it, but in that moment when I was on my knee I thought, she’s saying no!”
The 26-year-old hunk and his 25-year-old fiancee still love spending time together on and off set, and Nadine recently opened up about their experience.
She said: “”The best thing about working on the ‘Hollyoaks’ set is hanging out with the likes of Rory and everyone I get to work with.”

Neighbours confirm Hanson for cameo role

OHMYGOSSIP — Hanson are set for a ‘Neighbours’ cameo.
The ‘MMMBop’ hitmakers – whose 1997 debut single topped the charts in Australia when it was released – have been confirmed for a guest spot in an upcoming episode of the popular soap.
In a snap shared on Twitter, the group – made up of siblings Isaac, Taylor and Zac – posed alongside actress Zoe Cramond, who is known for her role as Amy Williams.
The photo was captioned: “Look who stopped by to shoot some scenes today! Make sure you keep watching to see @hansonmusic take on Erinsborough!”
The band’s upcoming cameo appearance isn’t the first time the Australian soap opera – which is aired on Channel 5 in the UK – has landed a famous face for a guest role.
Just last month, it was announced that ‘Loose Women’ panelist Janet Street-Porter had signed on to appear as herself.
She said: “When I was in Australia I flew to Melbourne and I have a role in ‘Neighbours’! I get to play myself, I have more than one line. I’m not allowed to say any more, we are keeping it very, very secret. I spent the whole day on the sent. I went all round the set.”
Before shooting her scenes, Janet was given a tour of the Erinsborough set by actor Stefan Dennis – who plays long term resident Paul Robinson.
She added: “Stefan showed me round. I had to do my lines, I smiled so much my face was aching.”

Bohemian Rhapsody leads Oscar winners

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ had an incredible night at the Academy Awards on Sunday (24.02.19).
The Queen biopic took home four prizes at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, including the prestigious Best Actor accolade for Rami Malek, whose portrayal of late frontman Freddie Mercury saw him beat Christian Bale (‘Vice’), Bradley Cooper (‘A Star is Born’), Viggo Mortensen (‘Green Book’) and Willem Dafoe (‘At Eternity’s Gate’) to take the honour.
Accepting his award, Rami said: “I think about what it would have been like to tell little bubba Rami that one day this might happen to him and I think his curly-haired little mind would be blown.
“That kid was struggling with his identity, and I think anyone struggling with theirs and trying to find their voice, a film about a gay man an immigrant who lived his life unapologetically and the fact I’m celebrating him and his story is proof we are longing for stories like this.
“I’m the son of immigrants from Egypt, I’m a first generation American and part of my story is being written right now and I could not be more grateful to each and every one of you and everyone who believed in me for this moment, it is something I will treasure for the rest of my life.”
The movie also scored wins for film editing, sound editing and sound mixing.
Elsewhere at the ceremony, ‘Roma’ and ‘Black Panther’ scooped three awards, as did ‘Green Book’, whose wins included the prestigious Best Picture gong.
Picking up the honour, director Peter Farrelly said: “This story, when I heard it, it gave me hope and I wanted to share that hope with you because we’re still living in divided times, maybe more so [now] than ever.
“All we have to do, all we have to do is talk and to not judge people by their differences but look for what we have in common. And we have a lot in common. We all want the same thing, we want love and happiness. We want to be treated equally, and that’s not such a bad thing.”
‘The Favourite’ star Olivia Colman was named Best Actress – a feat she found “hilarious” and “stressful”.
As she took to the stage, visibly emotional, she said: “It’s genuinely quite stressful. This is hilarious. I’ve got an Oscar.
“If I forget anybody, I’ll find you later and give you a massive snog but I’m sorry….
“Yorgos [Lamprinos], best director [on the] best film. Emma [Stone] and Rachel [Weisz], the two loveliest women to fall in love with. To go to work every day wasn’t a hardship.”

‘Green Book’s third win came with Best Original Screenplay, while the Best Adapted Screenplay honour went to Spike Lee for ‘BlacKkKlansman’.

Catfish and the Bottlemen to headline Citadel Festival

OHMYGOSSIP — Catfish & The Bottlemen will headline Citadel Festival in London on July 14.
Van McCann and co recently returned with the singles ‘Longshot’ and ‘Fluctuate’ from their eagerly-anticipated third studio album ‘The Balance’, and now they’ve been confirmed to head up the main stage at the Gunnersbury Park event, which will also see the likes of Rag’n’Bone Man, Friendly Fires, DMA’s and Dream Wife perform.
The ‘Soundcheck’ hitmakers will treat the crowd to new songs from their forthcoming album, which is released a few months before the festival on April 26.
‘The Balance’ marks their first release since the rockers’ second record ‘The Ride’ in 2016.
Meanwhile, Van recently revealed that ‘Longshot’ wasn’t supposed to be their first single, but their producers enjoyed it so much they decided to keep it as the first taste of the new record.
He explained: “It was the first one we recorded for this album. The first one the producer heard. It was the back up one. I actually had another one which I thought was stronger, but I turned up to the guys and played them Longshot and they were like: ‘What?’
“So as soon as we played it to Jacknife (producer Garret Lee) and that night or the next night we were just partying and singing it. We’d all just pretty much learnt it and it felt like a good one back.
“And the first lyric being ‘Go’ and all that, yeah. It just came together real quick and I remember the excitement from these when I first showed them the acoustic version. It was kind of natural to go to that one.”
Tickets for Citadel Festival go on sale on Wednesday (27.02.19) from 9am at citadelfestival.com

Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett teases new solo song and announces tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett has announced a solo tour and teased his new politically-charged record.
The 47-year-old musician has given fans a taste of what to expect from his second solo album with the lead single ‘This Ol World’, which he penned in reaction to Donald Trump being elected as President of the United States in 2016 and Brexit in the UK.
Speaking about what inspired the track, he said: “It’s always a struggle to write songs about current events or politics, but how can you not be affected by what the f**k is happening?
“Over here we’ve got Trump and over there in the UK you’ve got Brexit and Farage.
“It seems like every western country is dealing with its own version of Trumpism and the rejection of the status quo and liberal policies.”
The song will feature on his follow-up to 2017 LP ‘West Coast Town’, which he says is less experimental and more “guitar-driven”.
He added to NME: “There’s definitely more rock than my last album.
“It’s more guitar driven, although that sounds like a funny thing to say when so much of my stuff is guitar driven.
“But I like exploring sounds that I don’t get to play with.
“‘West Coast Town’ from my last record was super pedal steel heavy, and this new one definitely has crunchier guitar tones and it’s more of a rock and roll record.”
Chris will head out on tour this March and April, kicking off in Dublin on March 30, including a stop at London’s Omeara on April 1, before concluding in Stockholm on April 10.
As for the Foos, they won’t be heading into the studio to work on a follow-up to 2017’s ‘Concrete & Gold’ just yet.
Chris said earlier this month: “It’s not a super-heavy year.
“We kind of wrapped up touring for the last record… We have some festivals coming up later in the year.”
Chris’ tour dates are as follows:
March 30, The Grand Social, Dublin
March 31, The Haunt, Brighton
April 1, Omeara, London
April 2, The Fleece, Bristol
April 4, Night & Day, Manchester
April 5, Classic Grand, Glasgow
April 6, La Bell Angle, Edinburgh
April 8, John Dee Club, Oslo
April 9, Pumphuest, Copenhagen
April 10, Nalen Klubb, Stockholm

Geri Horner: I want my kids to be grateful

OHMYGOSSIP — Geri Horner wants to “instil gratitude” in her children.
The Spice Girls singer has daughter Bluebell, 12, from a relationship with Sacha Gervasi, and son Montague, two, with husband Christian Horner, and has said she hates the idea of “self-entitlement”, as she wants her children to grow up knowing they can’t always get everything they want.
She said: “I’m quite strict, firm but fair,’ she added. ‘I don’t like self- entitlement. My mother was a cleaner and I had six jobs a week, so if I see my kids wanting more toys, more this, more, more, more, I find that unattractive. I’m trying to instil gratitude in my children. If there’s no gratitude then that’s ugly.”
The 46-year-old singer says family is “a beautiful thing” and feels deeply connected to her brood, but says she understands that her kids won’t be perfect because everyone has “flaws”.
She added to OK! Magazine: “For me, family is a beautiful thing. I feel a joy and a connective love in my heart.
“With family, you can get away with behaviour you wouldn’t normally show. I can be grumpy, but we’re all human, we’ve got flaws.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker recently said she is constantly trying to find a balance in her life as a “working mother”.
She said: “OK, as any working mother we’re making decisions, we’re all choosing. Here’s an example: this morning, I’m meant to be getting ready, training for the tour. I got a call from the trainer.
“I said, ‘Look, I’ve got a photoshoot, I’m busy,’ but I knew I had a window. He said, ‘Do you want me to come?’ And I said no. I got up early.
“Monty was in his overalls, I put my yellow overalls on and I was out with the tractor with him. He’s my workout. Go and run around with my child – to me, that’s far more precious and important.”

Jordyn Woods ‘begging’ for forgiveness from Kylie Jenner

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordyn Woods has reportedly been “begging” Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner for “forgiveness”, following allegations she kissed Khloe’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
The 21-year-old model – who is the best friend of Kylie Jenner – was allegedly seen making out with NBA star Tristan at a party last week, and sources have now said she’s been asking for both Tristan’s girlfriend Khloe and Khloe’s half-sister Kylie to forgive her for her mistake, which she has reportedly blamed on being drunk.
According to TMZ, sources say Jordyn “admits she made a stupid decision” in getting close to Tristan – who has 10-month-old daughter True with Khloe – and that she was “wasted before she even went to the house party” where the incident was alleged to have taken place.
The beauty was reportedly “black out drunk” and doesn’t remember what happened at the party, but “started crying” when she was told she’d allegedly kissed Tristan.
However, despite new claims she didn’t know what had happened, sources previously said she and Tristan had both “planned” to “deny” their affair.
An insider said: “It seemed she had an agreement with Tristan that they would deny hooking up if they got caught. He said no one would find out. Jordyn was shocked when the family did find out and confronted her. Jordyn acted very distraught. But the family feels that she is mostly upset that she got caught.”
Before the incident Jordyn had been living with Kylie, but has now moved out in order to give the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star some “space”.
Another source said: “Kylie is extremely upset about everything that is going on with Khloe and her best friend Jordyn. Jordyn is a sister to Kylie, and she’s extremely shocked this could happen, as is the whole family. Kylie is trying to get all the facts before she makes up her mind, but for now Jordyn isn’t staying at Kylie’s. Kylie needs her space and also wants to respect her sister Khloe. The future of their friendship hangs on the facts.”

Lady Gaga wins Oscar

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga urged people to “fight” for their dreams as she accepted her first Oscar on Sunday (24.02.19).
The 32-year-old singer-and-actress was in floods of tears before she even took to the stage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre to accept the prize for Best Original Song for ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star is Born’, and she emotionally discussed the “hard work” she’s put into her career and insisted never giving up is far more important than “winning”.
She said: “If you’re at home and sitting on your couch watching this, it is hard work, I’ve worked hard for a long time, it’s not about winning, it’s about not giving up.
“If you have a dream, fight for it. It’s not about how many times you get rejected or that you fall down or are beaten up, it’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”
Gaga also gave thanks to her co-writers – who joined her on stage – her family, including her “soulmate” sister, and director and co-star Bradley Cooper.
She said: “Thank you so much to the academy for this wonderful honour, to every person in this room, to Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt, my co-writers.
“To my sister, my soulmate. My family is here, I love you mom and dad.
“Bradley, there is not a single person in this planet that could have sang with me but you, thank you so much. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you so much.”
Before they left to the stage, Mark paid tribute to Gaga herself.
He said: “Only because you can’t thank yourself, when you’re in a room with her you don’t have to do too much, she writes, she sings the songs, Lady Gaga, we salute you.”

Olivia Colman says it’s ‘stressful’ winning Best Actress Oscar

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman found it “stressful” to be named Best Actress at the Oscars on Sunday (24.02.19).
The 42-year-old actress was overwhelmed with emotion and appeared genuinely stunned as she picked up the Actress in a Leading Role honour for her portrayal of Queen Anne in ‘The Favourite’ – and joked it’s not an achievement she’ll ever repeat.
She took to the stage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre and quipped: “It’s genuinely quite stressful.
Olivia – who has three children with husband Ed Sinclair – tried to thank her parents but the emotion grew too much.
She said: “My mum and my dad… you know.
“My kids who are home and watching. Well, if you’re not, well done but I sort of hope you are, this is not going to happen again.”
The actress was particularly stunned to have triumphed over ‘The Wife’ star Glenn Close in a category which also included Lady Gaga (‘A Star is Born’), Yalitza Aparicio (‘Roma’) and Melissa McCarthy (‘Can You Ever Forgive Me’).
She said: “To be in this category with so many extraordinary women.
“Glenn Close, you’ve been my idol for a long time and this is not how I wanted it to be. I love you all.”
Before being warned to wrap up her speech Olivia reflected on how she had dreamed of winning an award when she was younger, but hurriedly thanked her husband before being cut off.
She said: “Any little girl who is practising her speech on the telly, you never know. used to work as a cleaner, I loved that job and I spent a lot of my time – oh please, wrap up…
“My husband Ed, my best friend, I love you so much, 25 years he’s been my best supporter and he’s going to cry – I’m not.”

Louise Thompson and Ryan Libbey will have dog as ring-bearer

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Thompson and Ryan Libbey will have their dog Koji as the “ring-bearer” on their wedding day.
The 38-year-old reality star is engaged to her ‘Made In Chelsea’ co-star Ryan after he popped the question last August during his birthday celebrations in Los Angeles, California, and Louise – who plans to walk down the aisle this Christmas – will have her canine feature as a prominent part of the pair’s upcoming nuptials.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Thompson said: “We love each other loads, but it has been very slow. Part of my problem has always been striving for perfection.
“It’s definitely going to be in the UK and we all want to have a religious ceremony , so it will be in a church. We know our guest list and we’ve limited it to a couple of locations. Binky [Felstead] and Rosie [Fortescue] are going to be bridesmaids.
“I don’t know whether it’s really tacky to have Koji [Louise and Ryan’s dog] as ring-bearer on our wedding day, but either way he’ll be there. We will definitely be getting married this Christmas, but I have 12 of my friends’ weddings to get through first!”
The brunette beauty admitted that she wants to have four children and be a “young parent”, but before she settles down she wants to travel the world with her beau.
She added: “I get really broody! I want to be a young parent and have four kids so it would be good to get started now, but having a dog made me realise I want to travel some more first. We’ve only been away once since we got engaged – for us that’s crazy!”

Best Director winner Alfonso Cuaron admits winning doesn’t ‘get old’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alfonso Cuaron was named Best Director at the Academy Awards on Sunday (24.02.19).
The 57-year-old filmmaker scooped the honour – which he previously won for ‘Gravity’ in 2014 – for his work on ‘Roma’, triumphing ahead of Spike Lee (‘BlacKkKlansman’, Yorgos Lanthimos (‘The Favourite’), Pawel Pawlikoswki (‘Cold War’) and Adam McKay (‘Vice’), marking the movie’s third win of the evening.
Taking to the stage after previously winning for Best Cinematography and Best Foreign Language Film, the director joked it didn’t “get old” to be picking up an award at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre.
He then said: “I want to thank the Academy for recognizing a film centered around an indigenous woman, one of the 70 million domestic workers around the world.
“A character that has historically been relegated in the backgrounds in cinema.
“As artists, our job is to look where others don’t. This responsibility becomes much more important in times when we are being encouraged to look away. I want to thank Libo, my family, thank you, Mexico.”
The filmmaker went on to thank the stars of the movie, Yalitza Aparicio and Marina de Tavira, saying “they are the film”.
While Alfonso’s win marked the fifth time in six years a Mexican director has taken the award, it was the first time a Mexican movie has scooped Best Foreign Language Film.

Miley Cyrus proud of Mark Ronson

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus was proud of Mark Ronson for winning an Oscar.
The 26-year-old singer heaped praise on her ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ collaborator – who scooped Best Song for ‘Shallow’ along with Lady Gaga, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt – for his success on Sunday (24.02.19) but despite the prestige of the accolade, she doesn’t see it as being any more special than any of his other successes.
Speaking to E! News at the Vanity Fair after party, she said: “I love seeing friends win whether on a scale like this or just a personal achievement.
“I don’t really gauge things think by what’s like the most massive moment. He has done so many different things, even with ‘Uptown Funk’ or so many songs that have been so massive, so this is just another thing that he has done perfectly and beautifully.”
However, Miley – who is married to Liam Hemsworth – admitted she didn’t actually get to see Mark get up on stage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre.
She said: “Honestly, I’m not the right person to ask. I take about seven hours to get ready.”
And the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker then confessed she wasn’t actually getting ready for the party – she was too busy playing with her dogs to tune into the telecast.
She said: “I like to play with my dogs in the meantime. So, I had no TV and I was on the floor with my dogs trying to pull myself together so I am not someone great to ask.”
Although Gaga gave a large part of the acceptance speech for Best Song, Mark briefly stepped up to the mic to praise the singer-and-actress.
He said: “Only because you can’t thank yourself, when you’re in a room with her you don’t have to do too much, she writes, she sings the songs, Lady Gaga, we salute you.”
