Emma Bunton hints the Spice Girls could record new music

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton has hinted that the Spice Girls may head into the studio during or after their comeback tour.
The 43-year-old singer has just released her first solo single in 13 years, ‘Baby Please Don’t Stop’, and has spoken about the possibility of her and her bandmates – including Mel B, Geri Horner and Melanie C – penning new music.
Although there are no plans for them make some new tunes, Emma – who is known as Baby Spice in the ‘Viva Forever’ group – hasn’t ruled out the possibility.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: “We definitely haven’t started writing, or anything like that, and it would have to be very organic. So, we’ll have to see.”
She added: “After the tour maybe, or during the tour I think, especially with us girls.
“We are so fly by the seat, which we love, and gives us that adrenaline.
“We’re always like: ‘What’s next?’ So, that [a new Spice Girls album] could happen. Who knows?”
The 90s stars haven’t released a record since their final LP ‘Forever’, which was released 19 years ago.
Victoria Beckham – who was nicknamed Posh Spice – isn’t going to be taking part in their forthcoming shows, which kick off in Cardiff on May 27.
But Emma says she has been really supportive and is planning to bring her youngest child, seven-year-old daughter Harper – whom she has with husband David Beckham – to one of the concerts.
On the chances of Victoria joining them on stage, she said: “That’s something that’s not gonna happen. She’s been brilliant in the conversations we’ve had.
“So supportive,’ she said, trying to lessen the blow on our aching hearts yearning for the full collection.
“From day one she’s been like: ‘I’m here to support you’, so that’s just lovely. And, she wants to come with Harper. I’m so excited that she’s going to come.”
Meanwhile, The ‘What I Am’ singer recently revealed she has teamed up with Robbie Williams for a cover of the girl group’s hit song ‘2 Become 1’ on her forthcoming solo album, ‘My Happy Place’, which she has worked on with her fiancé Jade Jones.
Emma has also recorded covers with Will Young (‘I Only Want to Be With You’), Josh Kumra (‘Come Away With Me’) and her Damage star partner on ‘You’re All I Need to Get By’.
As a solo artist, the singer has achieved seven UK top 10 hits and two top 10 albums.
The ‘What Took You So Long?’ hitmaker’s last studio album was 2006’s ‘Life in Mono’.
‘My Happy Place’ is released on April 12.

Michael B Jordan in Coach campaign directed by Spike Lee

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael B Jordan stars in a new campaign for Coach directed by Academy Award winner Spike Lee.
The 32-year-old ‘Creed’ actor – who is also a global ambassador for the US label – features in the fashion brand’s 90-second clip entitled ‘Words Matter’ helmed by Lee – who got his first non-honorary Oscar over the weekend for the film ‘BlacKKKlansman’ – and the star explained that the collaboration between the pair was an “inspirational experience” he is “proud” of.
In a statement, Jordan said “Collaborating with the iconic Spike Lee on this short film for Coach was an inspirational experience… I’m proud of the powerful messaging of this film and to be working alongside a brand that cares about putting that narrative into the world as much as I do.”
The much-anticipated clip sees Jordan hit the desert outside Los Angeles on a motorcycle and discover rocks that are written with the words “evil” and “bigotry”, however, the star throws them to the side and replaces them with new ones, this time emblazoned with words like “truth” and “love”.
The Academy Award-winning director also admitted that it was a “magical day” collaborating with Jordan and the iconic brand.
Lee added: “I’m honored to get to collaborate with giants in their respective fields, Michael B. Jordan and Coach. It was truly a magical day working, shooting in the desert. Enjoy.”

Rami Malek’s off-duty beauty ritual is ‘minimal’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek’s off duty beauty routine is “very minimal”.
The 37-year-old actor – who won an Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ on Sunday (24.02.19) – is known for his flawless complexion, but A-List beauty expert Marissa Machado revealed that the star simply uses a “daily moisturiser” to keep his skin in check.
Speaking to UK GQ magazine, Marissa said: “His off duty routine is very minimal. It’s as simple as applying a light wax to his damp hair and a daily moisturiser and eye cream I’ve provided him with.”
And to make sure Malek’s skin is Oscar-ready, he goes with “daily moisturising to keep his face hydrated always”.
Marissa – who has also worked with Nick and Joe Jonas, Joe Alwyn and Zachary Levi – admitted that to get his glowing Oscars look, she used products to help her achieve a sunkissed glow, and a “folded tissue” to dab away any “excess shine”.
She added: “Rami’s skin is a beautiful olive hue, but with the winter months it’s important for me to keep it hydrated and also to even out the tone. The EX1 and Kosas products I used at the 2019 Oscars helped do that, creating the natural feeling of warm, sun-kissed skin by evening out the skin and giving it a very natural-looking finish.
“I just really love to have his skin glowing and warm – I never want him to look washed out. EX1 is really great for skin tones like his. The pigments in the concealer and the powder are spot-on matches for him, making his skin look fresh and even.
“At the end, I used a folded tissue (in lieu of blotting papers) to dab any excess shine and sweatiness away. It’s way more discreet and easy versus blotting papers.”

Khloe Kardashian started Good American for ‘ignored women’

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian started Good American because she realised a “large percentage” of women are “ignored” in fashion.
The 34-year-old television personality co-created her inclusive label with her London-based business partner Emma Grede in 2016, and the garments – which range in sizes from XS to 4XL across apparel and activewear and 00 to 24 across denim – were made to give women “confidence” by listening to their needs.
Speaking to Australian Vogue, Khloe said: “Good American was born out of a conversation between my co-founder Emma and me around what it means to be a confident woman today, and realising that a large percentage of women are ignored when it comes to fashion.
“Our open communication with customers has definitely played a factor in building a successful brand, It helps determine what product and design features the Good American woman needs in the future.”
The golden-haired beauty – who has ten-month-old daughter True Thompson – also admitted that she is “lucky” to have a team who always “inspire” her, and Khloe explained that she is constantly thinking of new ways to serve her fashionista customers by creating new garments in her size-inclusive range.
She added: “I’m so lucky to have an amazing team both at Good American and at home who continue to inspire and support me.
“We have so many exciting launches coming up in 2019, and we can’t wait to continue to serve our customers in new ways!”
The ‘Revenge Body’ host previously admitted she went “a long time” without wearing any products made from the denim because she struggled to find the perfect fit.
She told ES magazine: “I never considered myself fat but when I used to shop with my sisters I was always really shamed and shunned by [sales assistants] who would say: ‘ We don’t carry that size here’. I was always so embarrassed, so for a long time I didn’t wear denim at all. I kept getting angrier. They said they didn’t dress people my size. It’s shocking.”

Nadine Leopold refuses to use eye cream in beauty ritual

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria’s Secret model Nadine Leopold avoids “puffy eyes” by not using eye cream in her beauty ritual.
The 25-year-old Austrian beauty is known for her dewy complexion and flawless glow, but she revealed she swears by eye patches rather than serums or creams because they aren’t irritable and the next morning, she looks like she’s caught “eight hours” worth of sleep.
Speaking to US Harpers Bazaar’s ‘Go To Bed With Me’ series, she said: “So my first step in my night time routine is to take all of my make-up off. It’s really important to get rid of everything before I put on stuff my skin is going to soak up.
“My favourite thing are the Patchology eye patches [$50.00] – they’re incredible – I’m sure a lot of you know they slide off your face constantly so you can’t do anything with them on.
“I actually like to put them on after I have my whole routine done because I don’t like to use eye cream because I feel like they make my eyes puffy in the morning. The next day I wake up and the patches make me look like I’ve had my eight hours of sleep!”
The blonde beauty also confessed that she likes to put products straight on her face instead of on her hand because you don’t lose anything.
She added: “[I use] Dr Barbara Sturm’s calming serum [$145.00], sometimes when I’m exhausted or when I’ve been doing a lot on my face I feel like I get a bit of irritation or it gets a bit red. If I put it on my hands it goes between my fingers so I put it straight on my face.
“A lot of make-up artists tell me to rub everything in circular motions because it gets rid of extra puffiness. So I try to do that.”

Brie Larson ‘struggled’ to understand what it means to be female

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson has “struggled” to “understand” what the word “woman” means to her.
The 29-year-old actress and women’s rights activist explained that she’s always known that as a female she has “secret powers”, however, being a woman in the entertainment industry has shown her something different because she and her fellow ladies are still fighting for equality and to be “heard creatively” alongside their male peers.
Speaking in an editorial in the new issue of Stylist magazine – which she guest edited – she said: “As a human who self-identifies as a women I’ve struggled to understand what the word ‘woman’ means to me. I knew I held secret powers, regardless of how I defined it, but some of my experiences growing up showed me differently. For example, in the entertainment industry, women are still fighting for equal pay, or to be equally heard creatively with our male peers.
“And that’s not even getting into the racial, disability, non-binery, sexual orientation and other stigmas that add more unneccessary oppression.”
Brie will star as Carol Danvers in upcoming superhero movie ‘Captain Marvel’, which is the first stand-alone female film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the blonde beauty insisted that although she is seeing change within the industry, it’s not yet happening “organically”.
She added: “Inclusion is not happening organically yet – it requires thought and pointed action. But it gives me strength to know that who we are as almost nothing to do with puberty or who gives you butterflies in your stomach.
“Our minds, our bodies, our dreams, our ambitions; the day we fuel ourselves is vast. And it’s still growing.”

Kate Beckinsale was hospitalised after passing out filming The Widow

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale was rushed to hospital after “passing out” whilst filming her new series ‘The Widow’ in South Africa.
The 44-year-old actress – who portrays Georgia Wells in the eight-episode Amazon TV drama – has revealed she overheated whilst on set, but luckily one of her “very nice” co-stars, who she chose not to name, caught her.
She recalled to the Daily Mail newspaper: “It was incredibly hot – so hot that I ended up getting taken to the hospital one day for passing out.
“I just keeled over into this very nice, huge actor, which was lucky. Friend for life!”
Kate – who has 20-year-old daughter Lily with ex-partner Michael Sheen – did however get to have some fun on safari during her days off.
She said: “I brushed a lion with a hairbrush at one point; he was chilling.”
The ‘Total Recall’ star – who stars alongside the likes of ‘Black Mirror’ star Babs Olusanmokun and and ‘Me Before You’ actor Charles Dance in the thriller series – revealed just last month that she was hospitalised after suffering a ruptured ovarian cyst.
Kate took to Instagram to post a picture of herself from her hospital bed, where she revealed she was in pain from the injury – in which a cyst inside the ovaries becomes so large it pressed against nerves and eventually ruptured – and said being on morphine to ease the pain had caused her to cry.
Alongside the picture, Kate wrote: “Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts and morphine makes me cry. So thankful to everyone who looked after me #wobbly (sic)”
Kate didn’t give any further details on her condition, but surgery on a ruptured ovarian cyst is only carried out in severe cases, and most cysts are simply treated with pain medicines, such as the morphine Kate received.
Meanwhile, ‘The Widow’ marks Kate’s first scripted series after spending the bulk of her career working the movie business.
The show, which will premiere on ITV in the UK and on Amazon Prime Video in the US, was filmed in Wales and the Netherlands as well as South Africa.
Kate has a long-standing working relationship with Amazon, having previously starred in ‘The Only Living Boy in New York’ and the comedy ‘Love & Friendship’.

Kate Brooks wants ‘nice young hunk’ to play Kim Tate’s son Jamie

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Brooks wants a “nice young hunk” to play Kim Tate’s son. Although the ‘Emmerdale’ boss admitted the team hasn’t cast her unseen son Jamie yet, she already has plans now that actress Claire King has signed a long-term contract.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kim’s got lots of good stuff coming up! We’ve not yet cast her son but there’s always got to be a nice young hunk!
“We’ve seen Kim saying that she wants to find Jamie and reconnect with him, and it’s another Tate name to bring into the fold, so it’s definitely on the cards.”
Meanwhile, show’s boss has been with her cast filming a week or special episodes, and she’s looking forward to seeing things unfold as viewers find out what they’ve been cooking up.
She said: “Being out here in Belfast and filming with them all, and seeing everyone being so brilliant at what they do, it’s really heartwarming and you feel so proud.
“We can’t wait for the next 12 months. There’s loads of stuff that we’ve got planned that we’re waiting to get going, so I’m really excited.”
Kate – who took over at the helm of the ITV show in April last year – was behind the return of Claire’s alter ego, and although the comeback was shortlived – Kim got sent back to prison – the actress has signed a long-term contract and she’ll be back for good in March.
Kate added: “We all discovered that it was Faith Fingle who pushed Kim off the balcony so there’s going to be a lot of animosity between Debbie and Kim. Cain as well gets caught up in the whole Kim/Graham toxic relationship.
“So there’s loads of fallout from that and Moira inadvertently ends up getting caught up in the crossfire.”

Emmerdale’s Zoe Henry is glad the menopause will be addressed

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Henry is glad ‘Emmerdale’ will address the menopause with Rhona Goskirk’s latest storyline.
The soap star’s character is having a difficult time at the moment – including finding out she needs a full hystorectomy following the horrific tractor accident – and the actress was glad to learn that real issues will be played out.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “I am, I do think there’s still a taboo around it and I think it’s insane.
“I think it’s tied into our obsession with staying and looking young. To admit to the menopause is to admit to aging, and we don’t want to do that.”
In upcoming scenes, viewers will see Rhona suffering with hot sweats, mood swings and anxiety.
Zoe, 45, also explained how the storyline will mean her alter ego’s 13 year age gap with on-screen boyfriend Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) is also brought “into focus”.
She added: “It’s brought the age gap into focus, and I really like that because it terrifies her!
“Not only is she staring down the barrell of changing her own future, she’s impacting on somebody else who’s younger, who could go on and have kids, and she’s taking that away from him.”
Meanwhile, Zoe recently opened up about the storyline – which will mark the first time a British soap has directly dealt with the menopause – and she admitted she has reflected on how it will impact her own life.
She said: “It is hard getting older, and it is one of nature’s cruellest blows that women go through the menopause as their children are leaving the nest. In another three years, when I am probably going to be embarking on the menopause, my daughter will be leaving home.”

Dave Bautista wants to develop as a character actor

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Bautista “doesn’t care” about landing a role in franchise like ‘Transformers’ or ‘Fast and Furious’.
The 50-year-old actor rose to Hollywood stardom in 2014 Marvel movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ following a series of more minor roles after s hugely successful stint as wrestler for WWE.
Bautista has just been cast in Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ remake and he has spoken out about how he only wants “good roles” and wants to develop as a character actor rather than just keep making blockbusters.
Speaking to CinemaBlend, he said: “I want good roles. I don’t care about ‘Fast and Furious’ or ‘Bumblebee’. … That’s not the kind of stardom I want. … I want to be in ‘Dune’. I want to work with Denis Villeneuve.
“I want to work with Sam Mendes and Jodie Foster. I want to work with Academy Award winners. I’m proud to be a character actor. I want that respect and credibility and education.”
The most recent ‘Fast and Furious’ films and ‘Transformers’ spin-off ‘Bumblebee’ both star Bautista’s WWE alumni Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena respectively.
Bautista previously worked with Villeneuve on 2017 sci-fi sequel ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and he joins a ‘Dune’ cast which contains a galaxy of stars, such as Timothee Chalamet as lead character Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem, whilst Jason Momoa has also been attached to the project.
‘Dune’ – which is considered a sci-fi literary classic – tells the complex story of a fallen noble family’s attempt to control a desert planet named Arrakis and its export, a rare drug called melange – also known as “the spice” – which is vital to space travel and the most sought after commodity in the universe.
The project is being created by Legendary Entertainment, and Villeneuve will produce alongside Mary Parent and Cale Boyter.

Brie Larson knew she wanted to be an actress at six

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson knew she wanted to be an actress at the age of just six.
The 29-year-old actress always wanted to pursue a career in acting and admitted that performing helped her with her “super shyness” and taught her to “hold a conversation and “make eye contact”.
In an interview with the new issue of Stylist magazine – which she guest edited – she said: “I was six when I told my mom I wanted to be an actor. I think it helped me with my super shyness as a kid. It taught me how to hold a conversation and make eye contact. ”
Although the ‘Room’ actress has always been sure of her chosen career path, she believes that if she wasn’t in the film industry she would probably study arts or be a gardener.
She said: “I love architecture and art. I would probably study those. Or I would be a gardener. ”
Brie is set to star as Carol Danvers in Marvel’s upcoming ‘Captain Marvel’ which is the first stand-alone female film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ star readily admits that it’s very “hard to be a superhero” on screen because she had to do so much fitness and exercise work to prepare for the role.
She said: “It’s hard to be a superhero! It’s a lot of work. Usually my job is just talking, but this role added a physical element so you have to push yourself to the limit.”
Brie added that there isn’t anything specific she wants female viewers to take from the film, and thinks whatever viewer’s think of the movie is “awesome”.
She said: “I think the world already puts too many unnecessary pressures on females on how they should think or feel, so I don’t need to add that. Whatever female viewers take from it is awesome.”

Kevin Feige says Avengers: Endgame title was a spoiler

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Feige says the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ title is a “spoiler” in itself.
The President of Marvel Studios has admitted that although it may have been “blown out of proportion” it was the right decision to keep the name of his upcoming superhero ensemble film under wraps, as if it had been leaked prior to ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ fans would have known there was no certain ending to that movie.
Speaking to Collider, he said: “Well, I think I’d said that it all had gotten blown out of proportion to some extent.
“But it was a spoiler, because if you knew before ‘Infinity War’ came out that the next movie was called ‘Endgame’, then you know that there wasn’t an ending to ‘Infinity War’.
“But that had been the title of the movie from the moment we conceived of doing the two films. In large part, because … it’s seeded right there. I mean, it’s seeded in Ultron.”
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ ended with half of the heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – including Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) – fading into dust while the villainous Thanos watches a sunrise on another planet.
The latest film was released in 2018 and Feige, 45, said the fans reaction to the film was “exactly” what the studio wanted from fans when they first planned the movie “four years” ago.
Speaking about the movie – as well as the upcoming ‘Avengers: Endgame’ – Kevin said: We did ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’ at the same time, but those have been the longest gestating movies we’ve ever made.
“Four years now, almost five years. And it was always about delivering on the promise that we had set up. And the way the world received Infinity War was amazing, it was exactly what we wanted.”

Amber Davies has ear operation

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Davies had an operation to have her ears pinned back before starring in new West End musical ‘9 to 5’.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestant has always been insecure about her stick out ears and so decided to get them corrected before embarking on her eight shows a week role as Judy Bernly in the office story, which is based on the 1980 film of the same name which starred Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin.
Speaking in new ITVBe reality series ‘Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5’ – in which Amber meets country legend Dolly – she says: “I will probably be criticised for getting it [the surgery] done because people will be like, ‘Oh, you’re promoting plastic surgery.’ But I’m not promoting anything. It’s my own insecurity. And it is something I’ve wanted to have done for ages. I hate my ears. My ears have knocked my confidence for longer than I can remember.
“I know there are 1000-plus people looking at me on stage for eight shows a week. It was just that insecurity I wanted to get rid of. I’ve never had any surgery done before, so I’m terrified to have this done. But I know it’s the right thing for me.”
On the programme, Amber also admits she was left “exhausted” with the tough rehearsal schedule for ‘9 to 5’
The reality star made her West End debut in the much-anticipated comedy musical last month but viewers will see her at her “lowest” point because she doubted if she could keep up with the rigorous rehearsal schedule ahead of the opening.
She says: “On this show you see the lowest of the low. It was exhausting at times. Sometimes I’d think, ‘I can’t do this.’ But I’ve got such amazing people around me and that’s what I needed. I needed people to believe in me.”
‘Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5’ airs on ITVBe on Wednesday night (27.02.19) at 9pm.

Lisa McGee would ‘love to’ make a Derry Girls movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa McGee would “love” to make a ‘Derry Girls’ movie.
The Channel 4 comedy series – which became a huge hit when it launched in January 2018 – follows the lives of Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) and her friends as they navigate through their teens in Derry in 1990s Northern Ireland, and the show’s creator has insisted that she’d love to give a 90-minute film a good “crack”.
Speaking to The Daily Star newspaper, McGee said: “I would love to do a film, I think. the 90-minute thing terrifies me but if I could find a story that worked and a structure that worked. I think I would love to give it a crack.”
But McGee would like to make a third series of ‘Derry Girls’ before having a go at writing a film.
Speaking to website Joe.ie, she said: “We have to see how this series goes down first. If people like it then I’d love to make another series and then maybe after that, if that (a film) was an option, we’d think about it. Right now, it’s definitely just a step by step process and we’ll see. There’s definitely a lot more story for them. I think there’s a lot more for them to get up to.”
‘Derry Girls’ is returning to television screens next Tuesday (06.03.19) and McGee explained that she was “nervous” trying to pen new storylines when the series was recommissioned.
She said: “I was a bit nervous at the start and coming up with these stories. But the minute it was recommissioned I knew it had to happen. I had to sort of get over that and just put that to one side and concentrate on what stories you want to tell and what first excited me to write the show in the beginning.”
