OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Reed is “enjoying every second” of breastfeeding her daughter, as she’s beginning to ween her off of milk.
The ‘Twilight’ star gave birth to Bodhi Soleil – whom she has with husband Ian Somerhalder – 19 months ago, and has said she’s started to “transition” from four breast feedings a day to just two, so has been relishing in the “bonding time” whilst she still has plenty of it.
In a lengthy Instagram caption, Nikki wrote: “As we transition from four feedings a day down to two, I am remembering how important it is to stop what I am doing and enjoy every second of this bonding time. I am remding myself that my hormones are shifting, and that it’s normal to feel weepy as your body regulates through the transition. It goes so fast. (sic)”
And the 30-year-old actress says she’s even starting to push back her work commitments so she’s completely focused on her tot whilst she’s feeding, because she knows she won’t be able to breastfeed forever.
She added: “Nursing and working usually happen all at once. I’ve got just a few minutes to approve imagery or go through CADs so lets do it all at the same time…right? Multitasking is the key to being a working mom…right? Today I am reminding myself to slow down and separate the two. Today working and bonding are going to have their own time, so I can try my hardest to soak up every moment, and smile at every detail. Even if it’s just the nighttime feeding, people can wait and emails will be answered…when she’s finished. The sounds, the swallows, where she puts her hand, watching her daydream, because before I know it we will have turned the page… (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother didn’t want her to be an actress.
The ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress has become a Hollywood star since her career launched over two decades ago, but has claimed her mother Blythe Dinner – who is also an actress – didn’t want her to follow her footsteps, as she was concerned about her daughter facing “rejection”.
Gwyneth said: “[My mother] always said, ‘Oh, please don’t be an actress.’ She was pleading with me to leverage my intellectual self more than my artistic self, and I think she was just trying to protect me from a lot of rejection. It can be a heartbreaking career.”
But the 46-year-old actress has no doubt pleased her mother recently, as she revealed she is stepping away from her role as Pepper Potts in the ‘Iron Man’ franchise, and has scaled back her acting commitments in order to work on her lifestyle website Goop.
And when asked if she sees herself “as an actor who developed a career as a lifestyle entrepreneur, or a lifestyle entrepreneur who happened to have a career as an actor,” Gwyneth admits acting was never her first love.
Speaking in a profile for the New York Times, she said: “I was masquerading as an actor.”
Gwyneth – who has daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, with her ex-husband Chris Martin – previously spoke about her decision to step away from Hollywood, saying it came after she noticed the industry had shifted to focus on more blockbuster fare.
She said: “I think the movies and the business around them have changed so much in the last 20 years. I don’t think any of the movies that I’m known for would get made today. Would they make ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’? Would they make ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’? Would they make ‘Shakespeare in Love’?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift was left feeling “lower than [she’s] ever felt” after her feud with Kim Kardashian West in 2016.
The ‘Gorgeous’ hitmaker publicly warred with the reality star almost three years ago when Kim leaked edited clips of a phone call between her husband Kanye West and Taylor in order to prove her claims that Taylor had approved Kanye’s lyrics about her in his song ‘Famous’.
And after Kim branded her a “snake”, Taylor – who insisted at the time that Kanye never told her he was planning to call her “that b***h” in his song – says the feud left her feeling lower than she’s ever been in her life.
Writing in Elle magazine’s April issue, she said: “A few years ago, someone started an online hate campaign by calling me a snake on the internet. The fact that so many people jumped on board with it led me to feeling lower than I’ve ever felt in my life.”
But the 29-year-old singer isn’t fazed by the comments now, as she’s “learned to laugh” about the situation, and even implemented a 63-foot inflatable cobra into her stage design on her 2018 ‘Reputation Tour’.
She added: “I learned that disarming someone’s petty bullying can be as simple as learning to laugh. In my experience, I’ve come to see that bullies want to be feared and taken seriously.
“I can’t tell you how hard I had to keep from laughing every time my 63-foot inflatable cobra named Karyn appeared onstage in front of 60,000 screaming fans. It’s the Stadium Tour equivalent of responding to a troll’s hateful Instagram comment with ‘lol.'”
The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ singer says she’d love to get an apology from 38-year-old Kim, but is happy knowing she has “thrived in spite of” their feud.
She wrote: “It would be nice if we could get an apology from people who bully us, but maybe all I’ll ever get is the satisfaction of knowing I could survive it, and thrive in spite of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow thinks “psychedelic” drugs are the future.
The 46-year-old actress and businesswoman has often insisted that she’s ahead of the times when it comes to trends, after claiming she made yoga popular when she launched her website and lifestyle empire Goop in 2008, and pioneered the gluten-free diet movement with her cookbook in 2015.
And when asked what she thinks the next big thing to enter the mainstream will be, the ‘Iron Man’ star claimed “psychedelics” will become more widely used to battle “mental health and addiction”.
She said: “I think how psychedelics affect health and mental health and addiction will come more into the mainstream.
“I mean there’s undeniably some link between being in that state and being connected to some other universal cosmic something.”
Despite her claims, Gwyneth insists the pending trend isn’t something she’s tried herself.
Speaking to the New York Times, she added: “I’ve never done it. I’m terrified.”
Gwyneth’s comments come after she claimed last year to have popularised yoga, after a woman at a class she attended asked her if she’d ever tried the physical, mental, and spiritual exercise programme.
She said: “Forgive me if this comes out wrong, but I went to do a yoga class in LA recently and the 22-year-old girl behind the counter was like, ‘Have you ever done yoga before?’ And literally I turned to my friend, and I was like, ‘[She has] this job because I’ve done yoga before.'”
The ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress claims she was met with criticism when she first spoke about yoga on the Goop website, and says people thought she was a “crackpot” for indulging in the practice.
She added: “That was the beginning of people thinking I was a crackpot. Like, ‘What do you mean food can affect your health, you f***ing psycho?’ I remember when I started doing yoga and people were like, ‘What is yoga? She’s a witch. She’s a freak.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gayle King thinks R. Kelly “needs help right away”, after she interviewed him for the first time following his aggravated sexual abuse charges.
The ‘Ignition’ hitmaker was interviewed by Gayle for CBS News this week after he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse by Cook County’s State Attorney last month, following accusations from four women, three of whom were underage at the time of the alleged incidents.
During the interview, Kelly embarked on a monologue where he stood up, screamed and had to be restrained, and Gayle has now said she thinks she “witnessed a breakdown”.
Reflecting on the interview, she said: “I thought a couple of times that maybe we’re witnessing a breakdown as it’s happening, and that’s why I asked him towards the end of the interview, ‘Have you thought about therapy, or are you in therapy?’ And he seemed to think, ‘Yeah, I’ve been thinking about that.’ He became very emotional and very, very adamant that his voice was heard.
“He was very much aware of what he was doing, but I also thought that on some level, we were watching someone who really needed help, and needed help right away.”
And Gayle claims the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ singer is “very broken” as a result of the allegations against him, and she hopes he can “get some help” soon.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she added: “He’s very broken in many ways, but he’s also very strong. I walked away thinking I really hope that he reflects on what he said he’s going to reflect on, and maybe he will get some help, some therapy.”
In the CBS News interview, Kelly became emotional when he accused his critics of “trying to kill” him, and insisted allegations against him are “not true”.
He said: “Quit playing, I didn’t do this stuff.
“This is not me. I’m fighting for my f*****g life! Y’all killing me with this s**t! I’ve given you 30 years of my f****g career! 30 years of my career! Y’all trying to kill me! You’re killing me man!
“This is not about music! I’m trying to have a relationship with my kids and I can’t do it! Y’all just don’t want to believe the truth. Y’all don’t want to believe it. This is not true! It doesn’t even make sense! Why would I hold all these women! Their mothers and fathers told me, ‘We’re going to destroy your career.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Perry’s son Jack says his “heart is broken” following his father’s death.
The ‘Riverdale’ star sadly died on Monday (04.03.19) aged 52 just days after suffering a stroke, and on Wednesday (06.03.19), his 21-year-old son Jack – who is a professional wrestler under the ring name Jungle Boy – broke his silence on the devastating news with a touching Instagram tribute.
Posting two pictures – one of himself as a child with his dad, and one of him in at a wrestling match whilst his father watches in the background – he wrote: “He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad.
“He loved supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be.
“I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for.
“I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth.
“I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud.
“I love you Dad. (sic)”
Jack’s tribute comes after it was announced that he will no longer be performing at Bar Wrestling next week, in order to give himself time to grieve.
In a statement, the company announced on Twitter: “Unfortunately Jungle Boy will no longer be wrestling at our March 13th show.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time.”
Meanwhile, Luke’s daughter Sophie, 18, also broke her silence on the news this week, when she thanked fans of the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actor – who had both his children with ex-wife Rachel Sharp – for “all the love” they have sent Luke’s family.
She wrote on Instagram: “A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support. I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I. I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye. So bare with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.”

OHMYGOSSIP — R. Kelly has been arrested for allegedly failing to pay his child support.
The music mogul attended a hearing for his child support case at the Daley Centre in Chicago on Wednesday (06.03.19) after he allegedly failed to pay his ex-wife Andrea Lee the $161,000 he had been ordered to hand over for their three children, Joann, 21, Jay, 19, and Robert, 17.
And after his hearing, the 52-year-old singer was taken into police custody and transported to Cook County Jail to be booked, a spokesperson for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight that Kelly is in custody due to the unpaid child support, and added that he must pay Andrea the money she is owed to get out of jail before his next court hearing on March 13.
For Kelly, the arrest comes almost two weeks after he was taken into custody after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from allegations made against him by four women, three of whom were under age at the time the alleged incidents took place.
At the time, bail for the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ hitmaker was set at $1 million after Cook County Judge John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr. found the allegations made against R. Kelly were very “disturbing”.
The ‘Ignition’ hitmaker posted his bail days later, and recently gave an emotional interview in which he insisted allegations against him are “not true”.
He said: “Quit playing, I didn’t do this stuff.
“This is not me. I’m fighting for my f*****g life! Y’all killing me with this s**t! I’ve given you 30 years of my f****g career! 30 years of my career! Y’all trying to kill me! You’re killing me man!

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift’s mother is battling cancer for the second time.
The 29-year-old singer first revealed her mother Andrea had been battling the disease four years ago, and in a personal essay written for Elle magazine about the 30 life lessons she’s learned so far, she has said the cancer has sadly returned.
She wrote: “I’ve had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family. Both of my parents have had cancer, and my mom is now fighting her battle with it again.”
The ‘Gorgeous’ hitmaker says her parents’ battle with cancer has taught her there are “real problems” in the world, and she no longer worries so much about every minor detail in her life.
She added in the April issue of Elle magazine: “It’s taught me that there are real problems and then there’s everything else. My mom’s cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs. I give all of my worry, stress, and prayers to real problems now.”
Taylor had first opened up about her mother’s diagnoses in April of 2015, when she posted the difficult news on her Tumblr account.
Her message read: “I’m writing to you with an update I wish I wasn’t giving you, but it’s important and I’m used to sharing important events in my life with you. Usually when things happen to me, I process them and then write music about how I feel, and you hear it much later. This is something my family and I thought you should know about now.
“For Christmas this year, I asked my mom that one of her gifts to me be her going to the doctor to get screened for any health issues, just to ease some worries of mine. She agreed, and went in to get checked. There were no red flags and she felt perfectly fine, but she did it just to get me and my brother off her case about it.
“The results came in, and I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer. I’d like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private, but she wanted you to know.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian is “figuring out” how to get Tristan Thompson involved in their daughter’s first birthday, after he cheated on her with Jordyn Woods.
The 34-year-old reality star split from the basketball player when she discovered he had kissed Jordyn – who is the best friend of Khloe’s half-sister Kylie Jenner – at a party last month, but is now trying to find a way to still incorporate him into the birthday celebrations for their daughter True, who turns one in April.
A source said: “Khloé is figuring out how to get Tristan involved [in True’s birthday]. She can’t see how he can be around her family at a party, though. Everyone is just too upset with him.”
Things are said to be especially difficult for the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star, as her sister Kim Kardashian West is reportedly “beyond angry” with the 27-year-old NBA star, and doesn’t think she’ll “keep it together” if she sees Tristan face to face.
The insider added to People magazine: “Kim never trusted Tristan after he cheated on Khloé right before True was born. Ever since, it’s been very difficult for Kim to even tolerate Tristan. But she really tried her best because it was important for Khloé.
“[Now, Kim] says she never even wants to see Tristan. She feels there is no chance she will keep it together and not lose it on him. Kim is beyond angry with him.”
Although the couple are no longer together, sources have previously explained that Khloe won’t be cutting Tristan out of True’s life, because she wants her tot to have a relationship with both of her parents.
One source said recently: “She’s very good at compartmentalising and at the end of the day, she wants True to have a happy relationship with both of her parents. She’s not one to seek revenge or hold onto negativity.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are “really excited” for the birth of their fourth child.
The couple are currently expecting their fourth child together – which is their second to be born via surrogate mother after 13-month-old Chicago – and are said to be hard at work getting their home ready to welcome the newest addition.
A source said: “Kim and Kanye are really excited about the new baby! It’s a bright spot right now given everything else that’s going on in the family. At this point they’ve been working on the baby’s nursery at their home and putting all that stuff together.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star and the rapper – who also have five-year-old North and three-year-old Saint together – are even looking into getting bigger cars, as their growing family is getting too large to fit in one vehicle.
Speaking to E! News, the source added: “They’re also trying to think about getting a new car – with four kids, two adults and a couple nannies, they definitely need to invest in a car that suits the entire family so that’s an ongoing discussion.”
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Kim said she’s feeling “calm” about her impending arrival, though she was initially “stressing” about welcoming another tot.
She said last month: “I was kind of stressing.
“My house is so full [but] I heard that parents of four are the most enlightened and calm of all parents.”
And sources previously claimed Kim and Kanye, 41, had always wanted a “big family” and are blessed to have an “incredible gift” on the way.
They said: “The couple has always wanted a big family and their first time with surrogacy went so well, they decided to do it again.
“The couple is excited to welcome such an incredible gift in 2019.
“They’ve also talked that after this child, they are most likely done having kids.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa’s private plane had to make an emergency landing due to a fire scare.
The former ‘Game of Thrones’ star praised the “good old fire department” who came to the star and his pals’ rescue when the jet landed at Palm Springs International Airport after the issue occurred 30 minutes into their flight from Los Angeles to Phoenix.
Speaking on his Instagram Stories, he told fans: “Well, we got ourselves a slight delay. Half-hour out, in Palm Springs, and the plane wanted to start a fire.
“Good old fire department, gotta love ’em.”
Jason then joked he might have to drive the 269-mile journey instead.
He quipped: “It looks like we’re driving.”
The Palm Springs Firefighters Association later revealed the suspected blaze was a false alarm, but they were glad to meet the ‘Aquaman’ star.
A message on their official Instagram account read: “Had an Aircraft emergency today. Reported engine fire with @prideofgypsies on board. ARFF Engineer Andy Meza told his crew, “Not on my watch boys…not on my watch”. Turned out to be a false alarm but the ARFF Lads were on the ready. It’s always nice to meet cool people. (sic)”
Fortunately, Jason and his crew managed to get another private plane and eventually made it to Phoenix “safe and happy”, where he set about building his “dream” Harley Davidson motorbike.
He wrote on Instagram: “So the world knows we are safe and happy The plane failed not to self dirtbags and savages shouldn’t ride private planes. but the Harley runs perfect. Building my dream bike with @love_cycles 37 knuckle @harleydavidson Always wanted to build my own. It’s a slow process but my lil brother is patient. Mahalo Jermiah Always wanted to learn and teach with my babies. Aloha j. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Riverdale’ paid tribute to Luke Perry following the first episode since the star’s death.
At the end of the CW teen drama’s episode on Wednesday (06.03.19) a black screen featured a dedication to the late actor, who died from a stroke aged 52 on Monday (04.03.19), which read: “In Memoriam Luke Perry 1966-2019.”
And the show’s creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, has vowed to dedicate all future ‘Riverdale’ episodes to Luke, too.
He wrote: “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best–helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. (sic)”
The episode featured Luke portraying his character Fred Andrews, who heroically came to his son Archie Andrews’ (KJ Apa) rescue when he was being attacked in their home.
Production on the show was temporarily halted on Monday and Tuesday (05.03.19) to give stars time to grieve.
The show was renewed for a fourth series in January, but it is not yet known how the plot will be changed following Luke’s shock death.
‘Riverdale’ executive producers Roberto, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater, along with producer Warner Bros. TV and The CW, said in a joint statement: “We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry. A beloved member of the ‘Riverdale’, Warner Bros. and CW family.
“Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast.
“Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Pritchard wants to be the first professional dancer to partner a male celebrity on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 24-year-old star – who has previously partnered Claudia Fragapane, Mollie King and Lauren Steadman on the programme – is backing calls for the show to feature same-sex couples and admitted he is keen to step up and make history.
He told MailOnline: “If they do decide to finally do same-sex partners on Strictly this year I 100% want to be the pro to do it…
“If it’s going to be anyone [in a same-sex pairing], I’d like it to be me. I’m 100% the pro to do it. I guess it all depends on who the celebrity contestants are this year.”
AJ insisted gender “doesn’t matter” when it comes to dancing and thinks a same-sex pairing would be “captivating” for viewers.
He added: “So I think we have to wait and see; but if same-sex partnerships do happen it’s going to be so captivating. And I am very open to it. People enjoy seeing bodies moving, it doesn’t matter [about gender].”
Fellow ‘Strictly’ pro Anton DuBeke recently said he would “give it a go” with a male dance partner on the show though he thinks the couplings would be hard to judge.
He said: “We’ll have to wait and see if it’s ever a thing.
“My only thing about it is how they would judge it? It would be interesting to see how they’re going to judge it.
“If you’ve got a same-sex couple, you’ve got two girls dancing together or two fellas dancing together, it’s not the same as a boy and girl dancing together.
“So from a prospective of judging it they’d have to find a criteria way of doing it. Once they’ve done that I think it could potentially happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.
“If they give me a fella I’d give it a go, why not?”

The former ‘X Factor’ judge, 40, and the 31-year-old singer – who shot to fame by winning the rival talent show – will help out will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones respectively in The Knockouts round, and Years and Years’ Olly Alexander will aid coach Jennifer Hudson, with Anne-Marie set to lend Olly Murs a hand.
Nicole said: “Mentoring young talent has always been my passion and I’m so excited to join this season of The Voice UK as a guest mentor.
“will is an exceptional coach and has incredible musical ears, and I was so pleased he asked me to lend my support to nurture these artists throughout this process.
“He has chosen an amazing team and I can’t wait to see where their journeys take them.”
will added: “It was great hanging with Nicole. She’s family. It’s good to be around people that you love and support and vice-versa.
“I think Nicole has so much information and perspective. She’s been through what they’ve been through, she’s auditioned before for countless types of gigs.
“From The Pussycat Dolls and got it, to the West End and got it.”
James is delighted to be teaming up with Tom and his six wannabes, but only two from each team will progress from The Knockouts to the live semi-final stage.
He said: “It was great working alongside the legend that is Sir Tom Jones and his singers.
“He has a really strong team this year with huge potential … and hopefully the winner.”
Tom said: “James was great. We saw eye to eye or ear to ear, if you like, on what we were hearing.
“He always had an opinion but nine times out of 10 it was the same as mine and confirmed my thoughts so we had a very like-minded approach.
“It was great working with him.”
Years and Years singer Olly is a “huge fan” of Jennifer, but admits it will be tough for the coach to whittle her team down from six to two because her hopefuls possess so much talent.
He said: “It was so dreamy to work alongside Jennifer and witness the love and passion she has for her very talented team.
“I’m a huge fan of hers and I want to be her best friend, her team are so strong I don’t know how she’s going to make any decisions between them! It was so much fun hearing everybody sing.”
But whatever Jennifer does may not matter as Anne-Marie is confident Murs has the future winner in his team.
She said: “I loved being Olly’s guest coach on ‘The Voice’ this year.
“It was an amazing experience to hear all of the contestants’ voices up close and to hear all of their stories. Always love spending time with Olly and I really think he has a winner in his team!”
Each mentor will accompany the coaches during piano rehearsals and offer guidance to each act before they take to the stage.

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba is in talks to replace Will Smith in the ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel.
The ‘Thor’ actor is said to be James Gunn and Warner Bros’ first and only choice to take Smith’s place after the ‘I Am Legend’ star, who played Deadshot in the 2016 DC ensemble movie, reportedly exited the follow-up film last week.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Elba met up with Gunn last Friday (01.03.19) to discuss the motion picture, and talks are said to have gone so well that they began discussions with Warner Bros.
Margot Robbie is expected to reprise her role as Harley Quinn for the project, but another source told the publication that character Rick Flagg – who was played by Joel Kinnaman – may not appear in the sequel.
Last week, it was claimed a scheduling issue had forced Smith to back out of the next ‘Suicide Squad’ movie, and an “amicable” decision was said to have been made between the actor and the studio.
Warner Bros. is yet to confirm any of the returning talent for the planned sequel, but insiders have previously claimed the studio have always wanted its biggest stars, such as Smith, Robbie and Jared Leto, who played The Joker, back in the fold.
Gunn – who was fired from Marvel movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ by Disney over controversial past tweets – is believed to be helming the flick after it was previously revealed he is writing the script.
Production on the follow-up – which has been titled ‘The Suicide Squad’ and is thought to be a reboot of sorts rather than a direct sequel – is planned to start later this year.
The film’s release date is currently set for August 2021.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt didn’t think he’d ever play a “bad guy”.
The 39-year-old actor is best known for playing the hero in the ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movies, as well as the likeable Andy Dwyer in ‘Parks and Recreation’ and he admitted his lament at not being offered darker roles led to director Vincent D’Onofrio offering him the part of villain Grant Cutler in his new western ‘The Kid’.
Speaking on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Chris explained: “I had said to him that I don’t think I would ever be able to play a bad guy — the characters I’ve played, they haven’t really been bad… Early in my career if I had tried to be bad, people would be like, ‘Oh, he’s not that bad.’ ”
And Chris admitted he enjoyed getting to do something very different on screen.
He said: “It was really an opportunity to do something different, I liked it.”
The actor – who has six-year-old son Jack from his marriage to Anna Faris and is engaged to Katherine Schwarzenegger – previously starred with Vincent in ‘Jurassic World’ and claims he loves his friend and director “more than maybe anyone”.
Of the approach to working taken by his pal – who also has a role in the film – he laughed: “He’s from New York, he’s very direct… It’s in the word director, you should be direct.
“Some directors are deferential and allow the process to happen and only gently guide you one way or the other and it’s an amazing style and I’ve worked with a lot of people like that and it’s really effective, [but] Vince is not that way.
“You get to do really amazing things when you just trust somebody when you know they’re not going to leave you hanging.”
‘The Kid’ also stars Ethan Hawke and Dane DeHaan.
