Ricky Gervais is determined to defend free speech

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Gervais is determined to be an advocate of free speech as he doesn’t think that being offended is anyone’s right.
The 57-year-old star accepts he’s in a privileged position as a comedian to be able to joke about anything he wants and he is determined to kick back against the attempted censorship he sees on social media and in society every day.
He said: “I know that I have an immense amount of privilege which is why I should defend freedom of speech: I have a position to do it. Censorship is a slippery slope. It’s very odd now, and it is partly a social media thing. It’s being perpetrated and supported by people who think they’re doing the right thing.
“John Wayne was trending on Twitter the other day because he said something racist 48 years ago. Kevin Hart was fired for a seven year old tweet he apologised for. If you have to keep apologising, then there’s no value in improving. The new thing about ‘safe spaces’ is odd, too: people being banned at universities because they might upset someone.
“I think hard about my jokes to make them bulletproof and justified, but I don’t know if they’ll be bulletproof in 20 years’ time. Offence is good. It makes people come up with an argument.”
The ‘After Life’ star fronted the Golden Globes in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016 causing outrage with his jokes about the Hollywood stars in attendance, but he considers all awards shows to be “tedious” and has never watched one he hasn’t “presented”.
Speaking to The I Paper, he said: “I’ve never watched an awards show I wasn’t presenting. They’re all tedious. It’s not a spectator sport, seeing everyone hug and tell each other how wonderful they are.”
There is always a huge clamour for Ricky to host the Oscars but he is adamant he wouldn’t helm Hollywood biggest night unless he was given the freedom to make any jokes he wanted like he was when he fronted the Globes.
He said: “I’d do it if they said I could do what I wanted, which is the same as I did at the Golden Globes. But they’d never ask because they take it too seriously. Nobody really cares – nobody really cares about films – but they would never let me bring the tone down.”

Julianne Moore was fired from Can You Ever Forgive Me?

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Moore has claimed she was fired from ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ by the movie’s screenwriter Nicole Holofcener.
The 58-year-old actress was originally cast in the lead role of Lee Israel but the character ended up being portrayed by Melissa McCarthy in the Oscar-nominated movie.
Julianne has claimed that Nicole “didn’t like what she was doing” in the part and had different ideas about how to play the character “so she fired me”.
Speaking on ‘Look What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ she said: “I didn’t leave that movie, I was fired. I think she [Nicole] didn’t like what I was doing. We just been rehearsing and doing pre-production and stuff and her idea of where the character was different than where my idea of where the character was, so she fired me.”
The ‘Still Alice’ star explained that although she hasn’t seen the film yet as it’s too “painful” she “worships” Melissa, 48, and is “sure she’s great” in the movie.
She said: “I haven’t [seen it] because it’s still kind of painful. I love Melissa McCarthy. I worship her. I think she’s fantastic, so I’m sure she’s great.
“It’s pretty bad. The only other time I was fired was when I was working at a yogurt stand when I was 15, so it felt bad.”
‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ was nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Melissa, Best Supporting Actor for Richard E. Grant and Best Adapted Screenplay, but did not win any statuettes.

Single mother Katie Waissel feels like ‘superwoman’

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Waissel says being a single mum makes her feel like “superwoman”.
The 33-year-old singer – who rose to fame in 2010 after appearing on ‘The X Factor’ – split from her boyfriend Andy Speer last year just two months after the birth of their now seven-month-old son Hudson, and admitted that despite the breakdown of her relationship and adjusting to life as a lone parent she’s very “proud of herself”.
In an interview with Closer magazine, she said: “I don’t really have time to reflect on everything that has happened but, looking back, I don’t know how I did it. I was just adjusting to life as a mum and all the changes that brings, as well as dealing with a relationship breakdown and being miles away from my family. I always joke and call myself a superwoman but sometimes I feel it.
“At the moment I’m studying for a qualification in health and fitness and the other night I put Hudson to bed and was studying and thought, ‘You’ve done alright Katie, you should be proud of yourself.'”
Katie recently moved back to the UK after living in the US for eight years to be closer with to her family and although she is always being offered support and help with the tot she admits she doesn’t like leaving Hudson with her parents because she gets “separation anxiety” when she’s not with him.
She said: “I needed to move home and get back on my feet … Luckily his dad agreed and is welcome to visit Hudson whenever he wants. It can be hard not having someone to share the load with, but my family are great and always offering help – I know I need to accept it more. But I have spent so long with Hudson, the idea of leaving him gives me separation anxiety.”

Rush Hour is getting an all-female reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — An all-female reboot of ‘Rush Hour’ is in the works.
STX Studios has reportedly started developing a female-centric version of the comedy-action film and while few details have been released ‘The Meg’ star, Bingbing Li, has been offered a primary role, according to That Hashtag Show.
The buddy cop franchise kicked off in 1998 with Brett Ratner’s film which saw Chris Tucker as Detective James Carter in alongside Jackie Chan as Chief Inspector Yan Naing Lee, from Los Angeles and Hong Kong respectively, thrown together to bust an international crime syndicate.
The first film earned over $244 million at the box office and spawned two more ‘Rush Hour’ films.
As well as the budding remake, Chris, 47, previously confirmed that ‘Rush Hour 4’ is in the works and revealed that he and his co-star are “working on a few things for the script” for a new instalment and it “looks like it’s getting together”.
The actor said: “It’s not in pre-production. We’re working on a few things [for] the script. Jackie wants to do it. I want to do it. The studio wants to do it. We’re trying to get it together. It looks like it’s getting together right.”
The last film, ‘Rush Hour 3’, was released in 2017 but fans hopes of a sequel were raised when Chan, 64, spilled that work was underway on new story stated the next chapter of the franchise was underway.
The ‘Police Story’ star is adamant that his and Tucker’s motivation to return to their characters is “not about the money” but because they love their alter egos and they want to make one more film before they’re too old to.
He said: “It’s not about the money! It’s about being the right time to make it. Otherwise, ‘Rush Hour 4’ we’re all old men. I tell Chris Tucker, ‘Before we get old, please do ‘Rush Hour 4’.”

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil release brought forward by seven months

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Maleficent’ sequel has been brought forward by seven months and will be called ‘Mistress of Evil’.
The follow-up to the live-action Sleeping Beauty villain spin-off will now hit cinemas in October 2019, rather than at the end of May 2020, as initially scheduled and the Disney film’s official title has been announced as ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’.
The sequel, helmed by Joachim Rønning, will pick up several years after ‘Maleficent’ and audiences will learn of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora.
Angelina Jolie will be reprising her role as the titular dark fairy while Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville will all reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel, and Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein and Harris Dickinson are part of the cast.
The upcoming movie will also see Angelina, 43, reunite with her ‘Salt’ co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor who insisted we has “thrilled” to join the cast of the highly-anticipated movie.
Speaking of the film, Chiwetel ,41, previously said: “It was great to work with Angelina then and I was really thrilled to join ‘Maleficent’. The re-imagining of fairy tales and how they impact us and what they mean for us is really strong and I think this sort of expands this whole universe.”
Angelina previously revealed she relished starring in ‘Maleficent’ in 2014 as the antagonist because it was a less serious role than she’d grown used to.
The Academy Award-winning actress said at the time: “It’s such a great project that I imagine I would have always considered it [at any time in my career]. After having directed and thinking that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to act, it wasn’t returning to act in anything normal. It was a crazy idea, and I was so challenged by it.”

Gayle King wasn’t scared of R Kelly

OHMYGOSSIP — Gayle King was never “scared” during her interview with R. Kelly.
The 64-year-old reporter won praise for staying calm and composed as the 52-year-old singer – who was recently charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse – grew agitated and, at one point, leapt out of his chair and stood over her as he ranted, as she questioned him about the allegations against him but she admitted she was more worried he’d cut short their sit-down chat than he would lash out at her.
She told The Oprah Magazine: “I was not scared. I never thought he was going to hit me.
“After, Oprah [Winfrey] and my kids Kirby and Will called me to ask if I was okay because it looked scary. But I was never worried he was going to hurt me. I was more worried that he was going to get up and leave.
“So what I was really thinking to myself was: I’m not done with this interview, so I’m going to let him have his moment. If I stood up even to comfort him, that could have been his invitation to say ‘This is over.’ So I didn’t interrupt his anger and let him have that.”
However, Gayle admitted she could have been struck by “accident” because her guest had been overcome with anger.
She said: “I just knew that I was never in danger. I did worry at some points that he might accidentally hit me, because he was so angry that he was flailing. But I knew that I wasn’t in any real danger. I just kept thinking ‘Okay, Robert, go ahead’ and that’s what I said.”
In the CBS News interview, Kelly became emotional when he accused his critics of “trying to kill” him, and insisted allegations against him are “not true”.
He said: “Quit playing, I didn’t do this stuff.
“This is not me. I’m fighting for my f*****g life! Y’all killing me with this s**t! I’ve given you 30 years of my f****g career! 30 years of my career! Y’all trying to kill me! You’re killing me man!
“This is not about music! I’m trying to have a relationship with my kids and I can’t do it! Y’all just don’t want to believe the truth. Y’all don’t want to believe it. This is not true! It doesn’t even make sense! Why would I hold all these women! Their mothers and fathers told me, ‘We’re going to destroy your career.'”

Mandy Moore’s modern love story

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore thinks meeting her husband on Instagram is a “modern love story”.
The 34-year-old singer-and-actress posted photos of Taylor Goldsmith’s band Dawes’ album cover on her account in 2015, prompting the musician – who she married last November – to get in touch and, after a period exchanging emails, they eventually found love with one another.
And Mandy admitted she would have thought people were “bonkers” if they told her she’d find her match online.
She told America’s InStyle magazine: “We have a modern kind of love story.
“But if someone would have told me three years ago, ‘That’s your future husband, and you’re going to meet him through Instagram,’ I would have thought that they were absolutely bonkers. It proves that you have to stay open-minded because you just never know.”
In the “crazy” modern world, the ‘This Is Us’ actress believes people should embrace different ways of welcoming new people into their lives.
She said: “We shouldn’t have any judgment about what helps people find one another.
“I’ve met lots of friends on Instagram too. We live in such a crazy, exhausting world, I think it’s perfectly logical that this is how we connect with each other. It’s how we all communicate now anyway, so it doesn’t feel weird to me that it’s a way you can find a relationship that will really last.”
But while she may have found love online, Mandy – who was previously married to Ryan Adams – also thinks it’s important to step away from the internet and appreciate the world around her.
She said: “Sometimes we need to just get off the clock and the grind of looking at our phones and feeling like we have to be tethered to the world around us.
“When I can put down the phone and take a deep breath, it feeds me. I think I have the opposite of FOMO! With age, comes the wisdom that you’re not really missing out on anything.”

Awkwafina: Diversity isn’t a trend

OHMYGOSSIP — Awkwafina thinks there has been a “progressive shift” in Hollywood.
The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star doesn’t feel diversity on screen is just a “trend” as she believes its becoming the norm and she feels “very lucky” to have been a part of some inclusive projects.
She said: “I think that there’s a progressive shift in Hollywood right now.
“People’s diversity is not a trend. Diversity is something that’s just here to stay. The projects that I have been in were very reflective of that and I’m very lucky to have been on those sets.”
The 29-year-old star is proud to inspire young Asian women and hopes when she has a family of her own, her children never have to question why they are lacking public role models.
She told the Hollywood Reporter: “At my first show at Sarah Lawrence College back in like 2013, I was doing a lot of soul searching as to what this career would be, what it would evolve into.
“And there was a young Asian girl who came up to me. She was so nervous to meet me, almost as nervous as I was to meet her, and she reminded me of what I looked like in college with all of the insecurities.
“She told me, ‘Thank you for existing, because if you didn’t exist, I wouldn’t know that it was possible.’ It was a moment that said there is a bigger reason for Awkwafina.
“When I’m older, when I have kids, [I hope] they’re so spoiled with representation that they never have to ask why there are no Asians on TV or why there are no women on this show. And I think that’s the real reason for me to keep going.”
Ahead of International Women’s Day on Friday (08.03.19), the ‘Ocean’s 8’ star called on women to be “brave” and stand up for themselves.
“As a woman we’re taught to be a lot of things, we’re taught to be very small.
“That’s been at the crux of the feminist movement. I think that it’s really important for women to be brave.
“Man or woman, you’re going to be faced with some kind of obstacle and I realised very early on that no one is going to help you pick yourself up. That’s going to be you. It takes strength, it takes courage, it takes bravery and it’s something that you have to teach yourself. It takes a certain stance to not allow yourself to be blown away.”

Simon Cowell’s dramatic new diet

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has radically overhauled his diet.
The 59-year-old music mogul sought advice from a nutritionist earlier this year after feeling tired and sluggish, and now he’s cut out gluten, dairy and refined sugar, he’s shed 7lbs and feels much more energetic.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Simon was feeling a bit run down, so someone suggested he see a specialist about food tolerances. The specialist revealed he is allergic to a few everyday things which had been making him tired.
“As a result, he has cut out lots from his diet and the impact has been almost immediate. He has loads of energy.”
But Simon – who has five-year-old son Eric with girlfriend Lauren Silverman – hasn’t found his new diet easy to adjust to.
The insider added: “He’s found it really tough to cut out a lot of things he used to love eating, like sausage rolls.
“But he can’t believe the change it’s had in such a short space of time.
“He’s looking and feeling great at the moment, the best he has in years. He has a real spring in his step, which everyone around him has noticed.”
The ‘X Factor’ boss revealed last year he had splashed out £2,000 on a facelift from Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, who sewed bioplastic-infused thread into his face and neck, to get rid of sagging skin.
Simon previously said: “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.
“It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.
“For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff.”
Simon has made no secret of the fact he likes to experiment with different procedures but previously admitted that he has had “too much Botox.”
He said at the time: “Hopefully I look better now – I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it. Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage – it’s very relaxing. I also had a sheep placenta facial once, which was quite out there. Then Sinitta recommended I try another detoxifying machine, and this thing turned up in my bedroom and it was like something out of Dr Who. It was like a spaceship had landed in my bedroom.”

Gary Lucy’s bare behind causes outrage

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Lucy’s bare butt has caused outrage in Liverpool after a theatre received “several complaints” about a poster of his derriere.
Liverpool Empire have been hit with criticism for displaying a large poster of the ‘Hollyoaks’ star’s naked behind, advertising his part in ‘The Full Monty’ play, on their walls – so they took to Twitter to hold a vote to see what the public think about the image.
A cheeky message on the theatre’s Twitter account read: “We’ve received several complaints about Mr Lucy’s bum being on show outside @LiverpoolEmpire…!
“What do you think…?
“Too much? Or perfect…?! (sic)”
The vote, at the time of writing, has seen 97 per cent of people say they “love” Gary’s backside being up on the theatre, while just three per cent said they didn’t want to see such an image.
Gary took to Twitter to thank the people of Liverpool for coming out in support of his behind.
He wrote on Twitter: “LIVERPOOL !!! A big juicy thank you from my A**e ! @FullMontyPlay will see all you a week on Monday where you’ll see more than my A**e (sic)”
This comes after University of Liverpool politics student Lucas Pierre Porquet described the promotional poster as “perverted” and “outrageous”.
He told the Liverpool ECHO newspaper: “The poster is the first thing people see as they drive/get the bus in to the city centre.
“My primary concern is innocent young girls and boys on their way to school, town etc. that will be exposed to this picture.
“We only want to fill young minds with what is good and educational not perverted and just wrong.”
However, the play’s producer David Pugh has defended the cheeky ad.
He said: “Gary Lucy’s bum has made many, many, many people happy for many, many, many hours over the last three years that ‘The Full Monty’ has toured the country and we are very proud of it.”

Joshua Richards feared Emmerdale budgie smugglers

OHMYGOSSIP — Joshua Richards felt apprehensive about his ‘Emmerdale’ wrestling costume before he joined the soap.
The ‘Troy’ actor has been cast as Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) real dad, wrestler Bear Wolf, in the ITV show, but the Hollywood star feared he would be made to go on screen wearing only a pair of budgie smugglers, like legendary 60s and 70s wrestlers Les Kellett and Mick McManus.
When asked if he was apprehensive about the costume, he said: “I was … but once I saw it had gone down the Giant Haystacks route and not the Les Kellett or the Mick McManus one with just a pair of budgie smugglers on I was very relieved.”
However, Paddy should perhaps be the one feeling apprehensive about meeting Bear once again upon finding out he is his real dad, because Dominic admits the news is going to “change everything” in his life.
The plot sees Paddy head to Belfast to track down Bear, who is at a wrestling convention, while his pal Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) also goes to the Northern Irish capital for his honeymoon with Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin).
And Mark admitted he has really enjoyed the fan attention in the city.
Speaking from Belfast in a behind-the-scenes segment for ‘This Morning’, he added: “I think per person there’s more people watch it here than over there.
“You definitely get more attention, and as a person who just loves attention it’s great.”
Joshua previously admitted he is “delighted” about joining the show.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining the cast of ‘Emmerdale’. Having been based in Yorkshire for most of my life, it’s fantastic to now be filming there too.
“Bear Wolf is a great character and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello’s ‘Havana’ was the “best selling song of 2018”.
The 22-year-old star – who is working on the follow-up to last year’s self titled debut album – was delighted by the news confirmed by IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry), and she described the chart topping single as one that has “completely chagned” her life as she took the time to thank everyone who helped with its writing, recording and release.
She tweeted: “So, Havana was the best selling song of 2018!!!!!! This song completely changed my life. I’m forever grateful to all the people that worked on this song with me and brought Havana to life, and all of you for listening
“Heart is in Havana forever! Now, back to writing for CC2 (sic)”
Camila performed the popular track at the Grammy Awards last month, as she was joined by J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Young Thug and Arturo Sandoval for the opening of the prestigious ceremony.
It’s clear the singer is expecting big things from her next album, and she has been teasing fans about the new material.
She previously said: “I’m having the most insanely beautiful time writing in the studio. I just listened to some songs in the car with my mama and we have that new music high (sic)”
The former Fifth Harmony star has also hinted at a possible collaboration with super producer Mark Ronson after sharing a photograph of them both in a studio alongside Ilsey Juber, who co-wrote Camila’s ‘She Loves Control’.

Taylor Swift used ‘Sharpie as eyeliner’

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift used a “Sharpie as eyeliner” during her teen years.
The ‘Reputation’ hitmaker is known for her flawless complexion and enviable glow, however, the star revealed that during her teens and “early twenties” she would use the black permanent marker to draw her signature cat eye and often go to bed wearing a full face of makeup.
She said: “After my teen years and early twenties of sleeping in my makeup and occasionally using a Sharpie as eyeliner (DO NOT DO IT), I felt like I needed to start being nicer to my skin.
“I now moisturise my face every night and put on body lotion after I shower, not just in the winter, but all year round, because, why can’t I be soft during all the seasons?!”
The 29-year-old singer – who is dating ‘The Favourite’ actor Joe Alwyn – explained that her once golden curls have “completely changed texture” and she now has completely straight locks that she used to “wish for” in junior high school.
She added: “I learned that your hair can completely change texture. From birth, I had the curliest hair and now it is STRAIGHT. It’s the straight hair I wished for every day in junior high. But just as I was coming to terms with loving my curls, they’ve left me. Please pray for their safe return.”
And the ‘Ready For It’ star also insisted that she’s “learned” to love her body and accept her size.
She told America’s ELLE magazine: “I learned to stop hating every ounce of fat on my body. I worked hard to retrain my brain that a little extra weight means curves, shinier hair, and more energy. I think a lot of us push the boundaries of dieting, but taking it too far can be really dangerous. There is no quick fix. I work on accepting my body every day.”

Barbra Streisand shaped by dad’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand believes she was shaped by her father’s death.
The 76-year-old star was just 15 months old when Emanuel Streisand passed away after suffering a seizure at the age of 34 and she admitted one of her motivations for writing and directing 1983 movie ‘Yentl’ – which centres on a young Jewish woman who disguises herself as a man to study the Talmud after her dad dies – was to explore the father and daughter relationship that she never got the chance to have.
Speaking at a Q & A session and a screening of the movie at the ArcLight Hollywood earlier this week, she said: “I think my father’s death had a lot to do with who I am today.
“It just meant a lot to me to be able to make a story where I could create a father, a father I never had because he died when I was 15 months old. I was so intrigued by that relationship and also the great tradition in Judaism is knowledge, learning and my father was a teacher.”
Barbra never intended to direct the movie herself and admitted she was “afraid” when late filmmaker Milos Forman suggested she took the reins when she pitched it to him first.
According to the Hollywood Reporter recalled: “Milos Forman when I was discussing it and sharing my vision of it he said to me ‘Why don’t you direct it yourself? You have it all in your head.’ And I thought ‘Oh my gosh, really?’ I was afraid. I was afraid to do that.”
After receiving a backlash for her performance in ‘A Star is Born’, Barbra didn’t even put her name on the early script drafts for ‘Yentl’.
She admitted: “I didn’t put my name on it because I was afraid after being so attacked in ‘A Star is Born’ in 1976 and when I did these versions of ‘Yentl’.
“I was so afraid of being attacked or people not personally liking me that I just didn’t even put my name on it.”

Chance the Rapper to wed at the weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance the Rapper is getting married this weekend.
The 25-year-old star took to Twitter to share a story about how he first met his childhood sweetheart, Kirsten Corley, when he was just nine years old and ended the tale with the news the pair plan to take their relationship to the next level in just a few days time.
Alongside a photo of Kirsten as a child, he wrote: “Storytime. A thread on how I met my wife. This photo was taken on the day that I first met my wife!”
Explaining how his mother had taken him, his dad, and brother Taylor to her office party in 2003, he explained: “We were instructed to make away for an exclusive performance by DESTINY’s CHILD. From the back stepped out 3 young girls… Who were not Destiny’s Child.
“QUESTION. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME Now I’m locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on earth.
“I was just staring at her; as she and her girls were conquering this choreography and mastering the art of lip-syncing in a way even the most professional performers have yet to accomplish.(sic)”
While Chance decided instantly he wanted to “marry” Kristen, he was too nervous to introduce himself at the time so is elated that they are going to tie the knot and he gets to dance with her as man and wife.
He added: “I knew I was going to marry that girl. So I shook my head with anxiety, moved to the back of the crowd and never introduced myself.
“16 years later, it’s happening. This wkend is the time, and the place is my wedding. I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.(sic)”
The ‘No Problem’ hitmaker later clarified that, after their first meeting, he didn’t come face-to-face with Kirsten again until almost a decade later and it took some time to realise she was his childhood crush.
He tweeted: “To answer a few questions
“-she was Kelly Rowland
“-she was there/dancing because her mother was my mom’s boss
“- I never saw her again until SXSW 2012 in Austin, Texas where we met and eventually when back in Chicago we connected the dots (sic)”

Chris Hughes calls Jesy Nelson his ‘girlfriend’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes’ relationship with Jesy Nelson is “official”.
The former ‘Love Island’ star has been romantically linked with the Little Mix singer since January and he admitted she is his “girlfriend” and he’s never been happier.
He gushed on ‘KISS Breakfast’: “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s official, she’s my girlfriend. I’m so happy, she’s the nicest girl I’ve ever met, this is no exaggeration, she’s got a heart like she was your mother or something. She’s so caring. We just get on like best mates, and that’s the beauty about it.”
And Chris’ best friend, Kem Cetinay, admitted he’s never seen his pal so smitten.
He said: “I’ve never seen him like this, and we’re very close. I know we’ve only known each other two years!”
However, the ‘Dancing On Ice’ digital host admitted he’s worried about what Chris’ new relationship will mean for his friendship with the 26-year-old star.
He quipped: “I’m a little bit worried… What happens to me now? He’s got a new love of his life, what happens to the old love? I’ve been pushed to the side!”
While Chris is smitten with the ‘Black Magic’ singer it appears he still has a lot to learn about his new girlfriend as, when quizzed on her birthday, he said it was June 15, 1991 – one day late.
Jesy and Chris’ romance was first revealed in January when they were seen smooching in a kebab shop in the Elephant & Castle area, following a date at ‘Harry Potter’-themed magical bar The Cauldron in London.
After having drinks, the pair decided to get some food from the nearby eatery, but they couldn’t resist having a kiss and they even playfully poked their tongues out at one point to have a naughty lick of each other’s tongues.
