Mac Miller’s death ruled an accident

OHMYGOSSIP — Mac Miller’s death has been ruled an accident.
The 26-year-old rapper was found dead in his California home on September 7 and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner have ruled his passing was due to mixed drug toxicity of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
Though the amount of each substance wasn’t necessarily lethal, it was the combination of drugs that proved fatal.
According to TMZ, the coroner’s report told how Mac’s assistant found him unresponsive on his bed in a “praying position”, kneeling forward with his head resting on his knees.
The assistant called 911 and described the ‘Self Care’ singer as already being “blue”.
Examiners found a 1/4 inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose, and he had blood coming out of a nostril.
Close to Mac’s body was an empty alcohol bottle on a nightstand, and he had a rolled $20 bill with white powder residue in his right pocket. A bottle of prescription pills was found in the bathroom.
An autopsy was completed on the star’s body three days after he died before it was released to his family.
It was previously revealed that Mac had likely been “dead for hours” before his body was discovered.
Police and paramedics had arrived to his San Fernando Valley home around midday but they were said to have quickly realised he had passed away long before they were called to the scene.
The night before Mac was discovered, he had had friends over to the house to hang out, and they left in the early hours of the Friday morning, with police revealing no one has come forward to say they had seen him alive after that night.
It was previously claimed Mac’s California home had been “swept clean” so there would be no evidence of drug use.

Benedict Cumberbatch: Chamomile tea isn’t tea!

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch is “sick of chamomile tea being called tea”.
The 42-year-old actor has said he wishes people would come up with a new name for the hot beverage, as he doesn’t believe it should be labelled as “tea” because chamomile – a herb that comes from flowers – isn’t grown in the same strict environments as tea leaves.
Speaking as he ranted to Dave Berry during an appearance on the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show, the ‘Doctor Strange’ star said: “Shall I just really vent now? I’m sick of chamomile tea being called tea. It’s not tea! Tea is a green leaf that comes mainly from the foothills of India and South America – places that have beautiful mountains. It needs to be a sub-tropical, alpine climate. It’s a very specific process. Chamomile is not grown in these environments. So, that’s not a tea.”
The ‘Grinch’ star then went on to imitate the way people often ask him if he’d like sweetener or milk in his chamomile tea, hinting that the questions also get on his nerves.
Chamomile tea is often drunk for its health benefits – which include improved sleep quality and better digestive health – and for Benedict, that’s not the only way he keeps his body healthy as he recently admitted he was more addicted to “yoga and meditation” than he is to alcohol.
Asked if he’s ever been addicted to anything, the ‘Sherlock’ star – who has sons Kit, three, and Hal, 19 months, with wife Sophie Hunter – said: “No. I’ve had the opportunity, but even with that thing of having a glass of wine when the kids have gone to bed, I’m like, ‘I’m quite tired and I don’t really fancy that glass of sugary alcohol’, boringly.
“I’m very happy with near sobriety. I have the odd blow out, now and again – a big birthday or a crazy weekend at a festival – but I prefer yoga and meditation.”

Caroline Flack and Ann Widdecombe confirmed for Strictly Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack, Ann Widdecombe, and Anita Rani are among the stars who have been confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special.
Six of the most-loved contestants from the previous series of the Latin and ballroom show are to return to the programme for an all-star BBC One festive special on Christmas Day (25.12.18), and the likes of Aston Merrygold, Jake Wood and Michael Vaughan will also be gracing the dance floor once again.
‘Love Island’ presenter Caroline, 38, won the series in 2014 and claims her Glitterball Trophy is still proudly on display on her home, and that she can’t wait to return.
She said: “I can’t quite believe it’s been four years since I had the best time of my life, dancing with Pasha on the ‘Strictly’ dance floor.
“My Glitterball still has pride of place in my living room!
“It always felt like a family at the SCD studios, so how could I say no to performing one last time on this year’s Christmas special? It’ll be the best present I could imagine.”
Former Conservative politician Ann, 71, will also make her ‘Strictly’ comeback, and while she’s fearful of being “cajoled and coaxed” she is still looking forward to appearing on the show once again.
She said: “I am very much looking forward to returning to ‘Strictly’, where I shall once again be pushed, pulled, cajoled and coaxed around the dance floor in all manner of ways by my poor dance partner.
“Who knows, they might even fire me out of a canon.”
Presenter Anita starred in series 13 and is particularly looking forward to the show’s signature garish outfits.
She said: “I can’t contain my excitement about dancing again and getting sparkly for ‘Strictly’, stepping back inside the glitter ball of glam!”

Kelly Ripa: Internet trolls are funny

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Ripa thinks it’s “funny” when people insult her on the Internet.
The 48-year-old television presenter has become known for her clapbacks against online trolls on social media, and has said she doesn’t take their comments to heart and has fun responding to them, especially if they make a slew of grammatical errors in their criticism.
She said: “For me, I look at social media like I look at most parts of my life – it’s incredibly silly. It’s an indulgence that I tend to have when I’m really either sitting in traffic, going to an airport, at the dentist, or when I have downtime. When I clap back, I am very bored and I have time on my hands.
“I mean, people insult me all the time. I actually don’t take it personally. My whole thing, I think it’s funny when people insult me and they can’t spell. So that’s the only time you’ll see me weighing in. That’s the only time because I’m like, if you’re going to insult somebody, have a basic, basic, basic handle on punctuation or spelling the word ‘too.'”
The ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ host even offered some advice to those who like to leave comments on her Instagram posts.
She added: “While insulting, try not to look like a stooge. But for me it’s like, I really don’t take it personally and I don’t think the trolls take it personally.”
And the blonde beauty says she often feels the need to clap back at trolls when they post negative comments on posts made by her husband Mark Consuelos, especially when he’s trying to use his platform to “advocate for equal pay”.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Kelly – who has son Michael, 21, daughter Lola, 17, and son Joaquin, 15, with Mark – said: “If it’s my husband’s account and he’s advocating for equal pay for men and women, and you utilise that opportunity to tell me that I’m too old to be with my same-aged husband and you spell ‘too’ wrong, maybe I am just going to have to say something. Maybe you’re missing the bigger picture.”

Adam Driver won’t take selfies for charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Driver won’t take pictures with ‘Star Wars’ fans to raise money for his Arts in the Armed Forces charity.
The 34-year-old actor has admitted the nonprofit organisation known as AITAF – which he started a decade ago after pursuing a career in acting following two years and eight months in the United States Marine Corps – would “be doing even better” in terms of profit if he wasn’t at the helm, because there’s so many things he won’t do to raise money, including appearing in selfies.
He said: “In terms of this nonprofit, we could probably be doing even better financially if I wasn’t one of the people at the head because I’m so unwilling to do so many things – or talk to people in general.
“It’s not about me and ‘Star Wars’. It’s about the people that we’re trying to serve. And if you don’t get that, then I’d rather not be associated with your money.”
Adam – who plays Kylo Ren in the sci-fi franchise – won’t take money in exchange for photographs, because he doesn’t want the charity to turn into ‘Star Wars’ events, and wishes more people were generous “for the sake of it”, rather than for their own benefit.
He added: “I didn’t used to feel comfortable fundraising. Like, ‘Yeah we’re interested in your mission but could you take a picture with my daughter? She’s a big ‘Star Wars’ fan and if you do that I’ll give you $100,000.’ No, I’m not going to take it. Is there nobody that is just philanthropic for the sake of it? Is there always some picture with your kid? I don’t want AITAF things to turn into ‘Star Wars’ events. But then you say, ‘No,’ and you’ve pissed somebody off. I don’t know that I ever handled that badly; I just took it too personally.”
Although the star admits he’s now becoming “more comfortable” with the idea of fundraising, he says he still turns people away for some requests, as he says sometimes it “can feel disgusting”.
Speaking to Vulture, he said: “It has to be the right thing or it can feel disgusting. Some people are good with being like, ‘It feels uncomfortable, but imagine what you can do with that money.’ So, I’m starting to get more comfortable with that idea because we’re raising money not only for a military nonprofit, but a performing arts nonprofit. It’s difficult. We’re not saying, ‘Give us $100 and it’ll go towards $100 of art.’ We’re giving something that you can’t quantify.”

Peta Murgatroyd’s son ‘obsessed’ with technology

OHMYGOSSIP — Peta Murgatroyd has to limit her son’s screen time because he’s “obsessed” with using his iPad.
The 32-year-old professional dancer has 21-month-old son Shai with her husband and fellow dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy, and has said they have to make sure he only spends one hour a day on the electronic device, because she knows he’d “be on that thing all day if he could”.
She said: “He loves his Daffy Duck, he loves his green froggy and he’s obsessed with the iPad but we give it to him for one hour a day only because he would be on that thing all day if he could.
“This technology thing is kind of crazy, actually, because they get hooked on it very early, so it’s limited to an hour.”
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional also admits pregnancy was a tough time for her, and says she “did lose it a little bit in the last four weeks” before welcoming her son in January 2017.
She added: “I was in our New Jersey house by myself for three weeks straight and it was hard. It’s a big house and I was there all by myself, waddling around, not being able to tie my shoes by myself – I’d have to roll onto my back and put my shoes on above my head. It was really difficult … and just not to have that support there too.”
But the blonde beauty insists there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and says that although pregnancy might feel like an “extremely long” nine months, the “miracle at the end” will make it all worth it.
Sharing her advice to pregnant women, Peta told People magazine’s ‘Celeb Parents Get Real’ series: “The nine months in particular, for me, felt extremely long because I’m so used to being active and I’m so used to being able to get up and go to the gym, go and do some dancing, and I couldn’t do really any of that from six months onward.
“It was kind of difficult. So if anybody is experiencing that, just think about the miracle at the end and then everything will be okay.”

Benedict Cumberbatch: Naps help me stay sane as a parent

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch says napping is the key to not going “utterly insane” as a new parent.
The 42-year-old actor has sons Kit, three, and Hal, 19 months, with wife Sophie Hunter, and has said his biggest saviour when it comes to keeping his cool when his kids wake up in the middle of the night is taking regular naps whenever he can.
Sharing his advice for new parents, the ‘Doctor Strange’ star said: “Sleep when they sleep, make sure you can build some napping into your day, and then you won’t go utterly insane.”
And the ‘Sherlock’ star also insists that making time for himself is also a must, as he says he now understands why his own father took so long in the bathroom.
Speaking to Dave Berry – who is expecting his first child – during an appearance on the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show, he said: “I now know why my father took a broadsheet paper to the bathroom every morning. I get it Dad, I get it. Now you have to take all your devices with you so you can get your office work done as well. I’m sure it’s very hygienic.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Grinch’ star previously said being a father has helped his acting career.
He said: “Lots of people, especially women, get told, ‘Oh parenthood is really going to affect your career – and it does, but for the better I think.
“I know I’m in a very privileged position in my career but I think everyone, even if they’re in a challenging time in their life, draws strength from their children. They are your inspiration. It adds to your work, it never takes away.”
And having children and a wife to go home to makes Benedict a “very homely” person.
He shared: “I don’t think of myself as this huge Hollywood star. I have a new family and I have close friends who have known me since I first started and don’t think of me like that.
“They’re always happy to remind me who I am, which is good. I don’t find it difficult to stay grounded. Every time I come back to London, I love the feeling – it’s my hometown and I’m very happy with my creature comforts. I’m actually quite a homely person, although I still enjoy being on the red carpet.”

Kevin Smith to have vegan Thanksgiving

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith is planning a vegan Thanksgiving (22.11.18) after suffering a massive heart attack earlier this year.
The 48-year-old filmmaker almost died in February when one of his major arteries – known as the “widow-maker” – became clogged and slowed the flow of blood to his heart.
Since then, the ‘Clerks’ star has opted for a much healthier lifestyle, shedding more than 50 pounds in the process, and says that for the annual American holiday this year – where families usually tuck into a turkey – he’ll be swapping the meat for a vegan alternative.
Kevin and his daughter Harley Quinn, 18, have partnered with Farm Sanctuary’s 33rd annual Adopt a Turkey Project, choosing to rescue a turkey instead of eating one.
In a video for the project, Kevin said: “You’re always told by older people it’s OK to eat animals, we’re supposed to eat animals. And, you know, for a long time, that’s what my generation believed. Now we know a lot better.
“There’s nothing I miss. This’ll be the first year that we’re breaking the chain with tradition. Nobody’s going to be eating any bird.”
The Thanksgiving holiday sees people give thanks for the things in their lives, and the ‘Red State’ director says he’s most thankful for still being alive.
He said: “It’s easy, man, I’m thankful I’m alive. And then I’m thankful for my kid who was like, ‘Yeah, go vegan.’ I’m thankful I got good advice. I’m thankful I followed it, to be honest.”
Kevin also posted on Twitter to share the video clip, and said he wasn’t trying to pressure anybody into becoming vegan.
He wrote: “Please don’t let this article trigger you if you’re anti-Vegan. I’m not telling you to be a Vegan too – just relating what our family Thanksgiving is going to be like, post-heart attack. But for the Vegan-curious? When I dropped meat, cheese, milk & eggs, I dropped 58 pounds too.”

Adam Driver didn’t think Star Wars would make him famous

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Driver didn’t anticipate how famous ‘Star Wars’ would make him.
The 34-year-old actor stars as Kylo Ren in the latest trilogy of movies in the hugely popular sci-fi franchise, and has said that whilst he was aware more people would watch the movies than most other projects he’d been in, he didn’t realise he’d get recognised on the street as much as he does.
He said: “I was aware that more people would see it than see most things I do, but I don’t think I could have anticipated how often I’d get recognised because it’s so different for every person. I’m very tall and I look a certain way. I can’t blend into a crowd.”
Through his newfound fame, Adam has found many people refer to him as an “intense actor”, and says he doesn’t really understand what that means.
When asked if anything about his public persona has made him think about himself differently, he said: “Being an ‘intense’ actor. I don’t understand what that means. That I show up on set and glare at people? That before every scene I’m like, “I need to fire off a rocket really quick and then I’ll come back and act.” That I carry around cold cuts that I smash before every scene?”
And the actor insists he isn’t an “intense person”, he just likes to remain “focused” when he’s on set.
Speaking to Vulture, he added: “I don’t think of myself as an intense person. If what I’m doing is so abnormal that it’s intense – yeah, I have no idea. I’m not a method actor. I like to stay focused on set but it’s not because I have a process that I’m imposing on everybody else. Sometimes you have to be more focused in between scenes because what’s happening is that, on something like ‘Star Wars’, it’s pure comedy in between takes. It’s stormtroopers running into walls because they can’t see through their helmets. So I don’t know where the intense thing came from.”

Ariana Grande: Therapy saved my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande credits therapy with “saving [her] life so many times”.
The 25-year-old singer has been going through a tough time lately after the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in September, and the end of her engagement to Pete Davidson in October, and has now told her followers on Twitter that she has been relying on therapy to help her get through.
One fan commented on her new song ‘Thank U, Next’ – which mentions a few of her past partners including Pete, Mac, Big Sean, and Ricky Alvarez – by writing: “who is ariana’s therapist and are they accepting new clients (sic)”
And the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker then responded: “lmaoaoo this is funny as f**k but in all honesty therapy has saved my life so many times. if you’re afraid to ask for help, don’t be. u don’t have to be in constant pain & u can process trauma. i’ve got a lot of work to do but it’s a start to even be aware that it’s possible. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Ariana was said to be left “really hurt” earlier this month after Pete, 24, made a joke about their split on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
The comedian appeared on the show in a skit alongside musician Maggie Rogers, to whom he introduced himself and then immediately asked if she wants to get married.
A source said: “She wasn’t amused by Pete’s jokes at all.
“They made an agreement that they would not address their relationship or discuss it after they split up. He violated that agreement and it really hurt her.”
Shortly after the ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit aired, Ariana took to Twitter to blast Pete.
She wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy [you] sure love clinging to it huh (sic)”

Demi Lovato has ‘turned her life around’

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has “truly turned her life around” following her overdose in July.
The 26-year-old singer has been in rehab ever since she was discharged from hospital following her life threatening overdose at her LA home over the summer, and after recently completing 90 days in the treatment facility, sources say she’s “happy and healthy”, and working toward turning her life around.
An insider said: “Demi is happy and healthy has done a complete 180 since she overdosed. Her 90 days in rehab have truly turned her life around. She wants to remain out of rehab. She has a sober coach and a complete support system.”
The ‘Sober’ singer is said to have “dedicated herself” to a life of sobriety following several years of struggling with addiction, and is thought to be distancing herself from her old friend group who had “supported her precarious lifestyle” in the past.
A source added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Demi has struggled for so long with addiction and her friends and family couldn’t be more proud of her work. This process has been incredibly beneficial to Demi in so many ways. She is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle.
“[She] has dedicated herself to her sober life and has surrounded herself with people in her program. She is avoiding those in her social circle that supported her precarious lifestyle. Demi deserves a partner who will help her continue to live a clean life and her family and friends feel she is choosing more appropriate friends.”
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ hitmaker intends on staying in rehab for the rest of 2018.
An insider said at the time: “Demi is taking her sobriety extremely serious, and knows she has a long road ahead of her. At the end of the day, Demi is doing this for herself. She has to stay sober for her, but every time she has family or friends visit her it reminds her of all the other important people in her life that she needs to fight for as well.”

Idris Elba is People’s Sexiest Man Alive

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2018.
The ‘Luther’ star has been handed the annual honour – which last year went to country singer Blake Shelton – by the US publication and he admitted it was an “ego boost” to receive the news.
Asked what he thought about his triumph, he said: “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’ Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise – an ego boost for sure.”
However, the 46-year-old actor and DJ insists he wasn’t always so good looking and went through an awkward phase growing up.
He added: “I was very tall and skinny. And my name was Idrissa Akuna Elba, okay? I got picked on a little bit. But as soon as I could grow a mustache, I was the coolest kid on the block. Grew a mustache, had some muscles, bonkers.”
The Hollywood hunk is brimming with confidence but he also feels it is important to stay “humble and grounded”.
He shared: “It’s important to have eye contact and empathy. You know, sort of reading someone’s vibe. I love being confident, but also I know when to rein it in and just stay humble and grounded.”
And Idris doesn’t want to regret everything he’s done.
He told People magazine: “Life isn’t about thinking about what you should have done. I think everyone should adopt the philosophy that tomorrow is not promised so just go for it today, man. You might as well do it to your heart’s content.”

Amy Schumer shares ultrasound

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Schumer has shared a sweet video of her getting an ultrasound.
The ‘Trainwreck’ star is expecting her first child with her husband Chris Fischer – whom she married earlier this year – and gushed over how much “energy” her little one already has, joking that that was the reason why she felt so sick.
In the clip, posted to Instagram, she shared: “It’s moving all around! Oh my God, oh my God, see it has so much energy – that’s why I’m puking every day.”
Amy previously confessed she has had a “really tough pregnancy” so far.
Speaking at her comedy show in Las Vegas last week, she shared: “I don’t like it. I’ve had a really tough pregnancy so far.”
However, that didn’t stop the 37-year-old actress and comedienne for cracking jokes about expecting a new member of the family.
She quipped: “You know who it’s not fun to be pregnant at the same time as? Meghan Markle! She’s walking around in heels and cradling her baby that’s not even there, and I’m barely wearing underwear.”
Amy announced her pregnancy last month.
She wrote on social media: “About to announce some exciting news on @jessicayellin insta page. Please follow her for up to the minute #newsnotnoise she breaks down what’s really going on. She agreed to post a lil noise today for me! Follow her and VOTE!! (sic)”
The news was then officially announced on the Instagram story of her friend Jessica Yellin, who posted a long list of recommended congressional candidates for the upcoming midterm elections.
The top of the post read: “I wanted to share some news from our community, maybe it’s noise but it’s happy noise. So I’m not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer, one of the most consistent and earliest supporters of News Not Noise. Now read all the way to the bottom, you’ll see there’s some news down there. Congratulations, Amy.”
At the bottom of the list, were the words: “I’m pregnant – Amy Schumer.”

Rebel Wilson sorry for claiming to be first plus-size comedy star

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson has apologised for claiming to be the first ever “plus-size romantic comedy star”.
The ‘Bridesmaids’ actress was blasted on social media after making the statement on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ last week, whilst promoting her new rom-com ‘Isn’t It Romantic’.
The 38-year-old comedienne had said on the show: “I had such a ball filming that.
“I always add my own jokes and also I’m kind of proud to be the first ever plus-size girl to be the star of the romantic comedy.”
However, after reading people’s comments on Twitter, she realised that there were many more curvy women, including Queen Latifah and Melissa McCarthy, who have been stars of comedy before her, and said she was “deeply sorry” if she offended anyone.
In a lengthy apology on the micro-blogging site, she wrote: “In a couple of well-intentioned moments, hoping to lift my fellow plus sized women up, I neglected to show the proper respect to those who climbed this mountain before me like Mo’Nique, Queen Latifah, Melissa McCarthy, Ricki Lake and likely many others.
“With the help of some very compassionate and well-thought out responses from others on social media, I now realize what I said was not only wrong but also incredibly hurtful. To be part of a problem I was hoping I was helping makes it that much more embarrassing & hard to-
acknowledge. I blocked people on Twitter because I was hurting from the criticism, but those are the people I actually need to hear from more, not less. Again, I am deeply sorry. (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ star previously admitted she thinks it is her size that makes her funny.
She said: “There’s something about me that people like laughing at.”
Recalling the time she had an epiphany to pile on the pounds and focus on comedy, the star added: “I was like, ‘Oh. That girl’s getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?’ Because I don’t think there’s much difference in talent.
“And I remember distinctly thinking, ‘I think it’s because she’s fatter’. And then, I don’t know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought, ‘How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter …’ And then suddenly I was fatter, and doing comedy.”

Naomi Watts binging episodes of Game of Thrones

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Watts has been “binging” episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ to prepare for the prequel.
The 50-year-old star has landed a leading role in the spin-off of the popular HBO series – which is based on the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ book series by George R.R. Martin – which is set to come to an end when its eighth and final season airs next year.
And whilst she is unable to reveal her character, the ‘Mulholland Drive’ star confessed she has been catching up on the original series.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I am late coming to it, I have to say.
“But that’s how I am with lots of things in life. I am binging it right now and studying. It’s very exciting.”
The show, which has yet to have been given a name, is set to take place 1,000 years before ‘Game of Thrones’, and is one of five current projects in the franchise that are in the works from HBO.
According to reports, Naomi will be playing “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret”.
Whilst the whole prequel will “chronicle the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend – it’s not the story we think we know.”
Meanwhile, the ending of the main show next year was recently praised as “beautiful” by star Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister.
He said: “There are no better writers in television than [showrunners] Dan Weiss and David Benioff. They ended it brilliantly. Better than I could have imagined and you people are in for it.
“It ends beautifully for my character whether it be tragic or not.”
Several of the cast – including Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams – have all commented on how difficult it has been to leave the show, which began in 2011, behind.

Claire Foy’s Girl in the Spider’s Web nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy was nervous about taking up a role in the ‘Girl in the Spider’s Web’.
The 34-year-old actress admits she was worried about playing Lisbeth Salander in the drama thriller movie, as two “amazing actresses” – Rooney Mara and Noomi Rapace – have taken on the role in the past.
Speaking on Good Morning America, she said: “Just because it comes with so much baggage. It comes with the fact that two amazing actresses have done it so brilliantly before. Also you’re fighting an uphill battle when you’re trying to compete with people’s imagination. That’s almost an impossible thing to do.”
Meanwhile, Claire previously confessed she “read and reread” the ‘Millennium’ saga to prepare for her role in ‘The Girl In The Spider’s Web’.
She shared: “I saw the films years ago as a regular fan. But, once you put yourself inside a character, you have to ignore earlier interpretations and create your own version. I found my own way into Lisbeth. It wasn’t so much trying to do something different from how she was portrayed before, but simply building the character and making her my own. I read and reread the books to make sure I didn’t do anything that was fake or contradicted how Lisbeth was originally described and I tried to stick to that as the basis for my approach.”
And Claire found her dramatic change of image for the role to be “liberating” and she loved undergoing a transformation every day.
She explained: “It was liberating. I didn’t have to worry about being attractive or being liked or any of that nonsense that women often have to wake up thinking every day, how does the world see me? It was nice just to be like this. I got an undercut, which is something I never thought I would have. It was great! Then all her tattoos and just how she moves and the clothes she wears. I’ve always enjoyed wearing leather jackets and trousers, that kind of look. I loved being her every day actually. What you see is what you get. I quite enjoyed that.”
