OHMYGOSSIP — Dinah Jane found going solo “kind of scary”.
The 21-year-old singer’s released her debut solo single, ‘Bottled Up’ – which features Marc E. Bassy and Ty Dolla $ign – in September, six months after her group Fifth Harmony went on hiatus, and she was worried about living up to people’s expectations with the track.
She said: “It was kind of scary at first.
“I feel like people expect a lot from me. I feel like people always had an idea of who ‘Dinah Jane’ was, but being that this was my first [single] … I want you to get familiar with where I’ve come from.”
And the singer admitted it took time to adjust to not having the rest of the band with her.
Speaking on the ‘Billboard Pop Shop’ podcast, she said: “I wish that was the attitude in the beginning – ‘oh yeah, I’m ready!’ – but it wasn’t. Just ’cause I was so used to my girls, their company, we always went everywhere together.”
But the former ‘X Factor’ contestant has found it easier to write songs without the rest of the group.
She explained: “[I don’t] have to think about other people’s opinions and let that interfere with what I’m feeling. And I’m sure [the rest of Fifth Harmony] all feel the same way.”
When she was working on the track with Bassy, Dinah Jane was “afraid and very timid” but her collaborator gave her lots of encouragement.
She recalled he told her: “No, no, no. Get your hands on this record because it’s something special. It has to come from you, of what you feel and what you see.”
The “really personal” song was originally a ballad but it got sped up and Dinah Jane was able to produce the track she really wanted.
She said: “I didn’t let fear get in the way of the subject or let people think this is far off from who I am.
“I just wanted to step into me being a woman as well. Not being afraid to talk about things that actually are real. There [were] no barriers when I wrote this one with him…
“I know so many friends and family that are really close and so dear to me that have trouble expressing how they feel, so they turn to these substances to actually get their emotions out.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrea Bocelli had planned to duet with a “young female pop star” on ‘Fall On Me’.
The 60-year-old Italian tenor did a demo of the song – which became the soundtrack to Disney’s ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ – with his 19-year-old son Matteo, but producer Bob Ezrin has revealed it was intended that the recorded album version would feature a woman’s vocals.
Keeping the pop star’s name tight-lipped, the studio wizard told Billboard: “When we were gathering out thoughts about what it ought to be, I spent some time with Andrea and his son, Matteo, and the rest of his family. They sent me the song ‘Fall on Me’ as a potential duet between – I’m not gonna say the name – but (Bocelli) and a very important young female pop star. But the demo they sent me, which was in English, was sung by his son Matteo.”
However, Bob suggested a change in the story to make the relationship about a father and son, and so Matteo ended up on the track in the end.
He explained: “It was written as a conversation between two young people who were uncertain of love and looking to each other for support; I thought with a very, very small adjustments this could easily be a conversation between a father and a son who is unsure of love and life and doesn’t know his position in the world who suddenly hears the voice of his father come to him from afar, and the wisdom of the father and the love of the father would come to him and help guide him.
“Even as I was thinking about it I was getting goosebumps, ’cause to me that was a unique and honestly emotional interpretation of the song, whereas having a love song between two people who aren’t really in love … those work all the time, but they’re constructs.
“I thought we could do something that was more of a truth, especially with a man who is so devoted to his family and a family that’s so warm and full of love. So I asked if we could just do a duet with the two of them.”
Though it’s not known who the original singer for ‘Fall On Me’ was, Dua Lipa recorded the English version of ‘If Only’ on Andrea’s album, ‘Si’, which recently topped the charts in the UK and US.
Complimenting the ‘Electricity’ hitmaker, Bob said: “She’s just magic. When they said Dua was interested in doing the duet, I was so excited about it.
“I love the vocal she did, and the vocal she did fell in so natural and sounded so in keeping with the rest of the piece.
“It was almost as if it was meant to be.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj will open this year’s E! People’s Choice Awards.
The 35-year-old rapper – who is nominated for both Female Artist of 2018 and Album of 2018 at the upcoming ceremony – will open the show at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on November 11 with the performance of a track from her latest LP ‘Queen!’.
Nicki joins previously-announced performer Rita Ora at the ceremony, while it was also recently confirmed that John Legend will be in attendance as he’s presenting Bryan Stevenson with the People’s Champion Award.
And last week, event producers revealed Victoria Beckham will be honoured with the first ever Fashion Icon Award to mark 10 years of her eponymous fashion label.
The former Spice Girls star said of the award: “I feel so honoured to be receiving the first ever fashion icon award at the E! People’s Choice Awards. This year I am celebrating 10 Years of my brand, and this is a wonderful way to mark that decade.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Oaten has joined pantomime ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress will star as Belle in the production at London’s Shaw Theatre from December 8th to the 30th – but she has appealed to pals to potentially put her up on Christmas Day (25.12.18) in the capital city, should she struggle to make it back to her hometown of Hull.
She wrote: “My first panto in London. Excited much?! @shawtheatreldn #enchantedentertainment
Yes Belle. That yellow dress? YESSSSS! London friends… Would love to see you there and also… If anyone fancies an extra for Xmas day in case I don’t get home to hull… let me know (sic)”
Gemma will be joined in the panto by Paul Hutton, who will star as Silly Billy, The Rocky Horror Show’s Ceris Hine (Good Fairy) and Sebastian Hill, who will play the Prince.
The 34-year-old star – who played Rachel Breckle in the ITV soap – has been inundated with fan support following the announcement, including a message from her former ‘Emmerdale’ co-star Bhasker Patel (Rishi Sharma).

Gemma’s casting comes just months after she launched her own theatre company, Amigo Productions, with businessman Richard Lamberth.
The pair have teamed up with eating disorder charity SEED – which was co-founded by the ‘Holby City’ star’s parents Marg and Dennis Oaten – to raise money via shows and workshops for those who have struggled with such issues.
Gemma said: “I suffered with anorexia for many years.
“The performing arts were vital in helping me survive the worst struggles with eating disorders so I know first-hand how transforming an opportunity it can be to get to do something you love.
“Now feels like the right time to help other young people, from all walks of life, flourish and follow their dreams, just as I have.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa would never appear in another soap because she is loyal to ‘EastEnders’.
The former Albert Square actress starred as Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap from 2010 until earlier this year, and while she is hoping to land some TV and theatre work in the new year, she has ruled out appearing on a similar serial drama.
She said: “I don’t think I’d be able to do another soap as my loyalty lies with ‘EastEnders’, but I’d love to do dramas and theatre.”
Jacqueline – who has two kids, Ella, three, and four-month-old Mia, with husband Dan Osborne – has started auditioning for new roles, but is expecting to be busier come 2019.
She said: “I’m starting [to audition] now but it’s not really the best time. Come January, I’ll be smashing into them.”
However, the 26-year-old star insists she will not be following in the footsteps of former ‘EastEnders’ star Patsy Palmer, who quit the UK for Los Angeles following her latest stint in the soap.
When asked if she would ever do the same, Jacqueline told OK! magazine: “Oh God no. I’d never move to LA. I’ve got too much going on here.
“I’m a home bird. I live in my pyjamas. I’d never be able to swan around LA looking all glam.”
While Jacqueline doesn’t fancy a move to LA, her character has gone even further afield in the soap.
In July, it was revealed Lauren had swapped Walford for New Zealand.
During an episode of the soap, Lauren’s dad Max Branning (Jake Wood) revealed she was halfway around the world.
He said: “Lauren’s in New Zealand. [Baby] Abi’s all I got left.”
Lauren’s gran Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) also confirmed the recovering alcoholic was in New Zealand, admitting she is “doing fine” and that “New Zealand clearly agrees with her”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Spice Girls will make their live return next June.
The ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmakers confirmed four of the group – Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Mel B – will be reuniting for six concerts in the UK next summer in a spoof news bulletin they shared on Twitter.
The clip saw the quartet squabble over Geri’s decision not to wear a “black tuxedo” for the announcement, Emma ponder if she’s now “too old” for bunches and Mel C urging them to calm down, before the dates for the shows flashed up on screen.
The clip was captioned: “Breaking Spice news… Tickets on sale Saturday 10.30am #GirlPower #FriendshipNeverEnds (sic)”
The tour will kick off at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on 1 June, before calling at Coventry’s Ricoh Stadium two days later, the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on 6 June, BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 8 June, Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on 10 June, and ends on 15 June at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Jess Glynne will support at all six shows.
Fifth Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has opted out of the reunion but the fashion designer has sent them her love and support.
She said: “Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
Meanwhile, the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers can’t wait to get out on the road.
Emma said: “It’s time to spice things up all over again!!!!! I can’t wait to perform to our forever supporting fans and a whole new spice generation! Love you all!”
Mel B said: “I’ve said it sooo many times I’m beside myself it’s actually happening yipppeeee. I’m now properly screaming it from every rooftop – me and my girls will see you all on stage!!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin was “told off” by a judge for failing to turn up to a divorce hearing.
The 42-year-old presenter was criticised by Mr. Justice Mostyn on Monday (05.11.18) when he failed to join his lawyers for a preliminary hearing at London’s High Court, with the legal team warned their client couldn’t use his fame as an excuse.
The judge told Ant’s barrister Jonathan Southgate QC: “There isn’t one law for the famous and one for the rest of the community. The rules say he was supposed to be here, and that can be reported.
“He has been told off.”
The judge indicated that he might have excused the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway host’s non-attendance at the hearing if he been contacted in advance and given a reason for it.
Mr. Mostyn has placed restrictions on what can be reported in regards to financial matters at the request of Ant.
At the hearing on Monday – which was attended by the presenter’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong – he began examining issues relating to the division of assets.
While the matter was being heard, Ant was pictured walking his dog, Hurley, with his new partner, Anne-Marie Corbett, near his home in south London.
It is believed custody of the chocolate labrador is one of the matters to be resolved during the divorce hearing.
Ant and Lisa – who were married for 11 years and together for more than 20 – were granted a divorce on the grounds of adultery last month.
The divorce will be finalised in six weeks with a decree absolute confirming the end of the pair’s marriage should there be no formal objections.
The former couple confirmed they had split in January.
The former ‘Byker Grove’ actor went to rehab in 2017 to seek help for a painkillers addiction, and returned to a private facility this year after pleading guilty to drink-driving. He later revealed he’d be taking the rest of 2018 off work to focus on his recovery.

OHMYGOSSIP — Brendan Cole thinks this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pros “need a bit more personality”.
The 42-year-old professional dancer – who controversially exited the Latin and ballroom programme after 15 series – has criticised this year’s dancers, insisting they could be giving a bit more on the show.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, Brendan said: “Being able to express my opinion when I’m not employed by the BBC is a very nice thing. I can be quite, honest quite direct.
“It’s so far so good, they maybe need a bit more personality from maybe the pros.”
Spice Girl and ‘Loose Women’ panellist Mel B then asked about his ‘Strictly’ departure, bluntly asking: “Why are you not back?”
The professional dancer admitted he is not the easiest person to work with, because he knows his own mind and does not “say yes to everything.”
He said: “The execs make these decisions on the show, and I would if it was my show, I’d be like, ‘This is what I want and this is what I don’t want.’
“I’m not a yes person. I don’t say yes to everything. I question things if I believe that they’re wrong. I do that quite often, as you’ve seen throughout all the series.”
The heartthrob – who is married to British model Zoe Hobbs – spoke positively about his time on the show, and is looking forward to a new chapter in his career.
He said: “I don’t think what happened with me was a singular incident.
“I’ve had 15 fantastic series on the show. Now is a brand new chapter.
“I love the fact that the show’s still as big as ever, and I love the fact that people are celebrating it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Tozer’s husband Michael Smith says her gruelling ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ routines leave her looking like “she’s been attacked”.
The 42-year-old Steps singer has been wowing the BBC show’s judges with her moves alongside her dance partner Giovanni Pernice, but her hubby says the rehearsals have left Faye with “ridiculous bruises”.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Michael said: “It looks like she’s been attacked – the bruises are ridiculous.
“Faye puts 100 per cent into it – she doesn’t do things by halves!”
The ‘Strictly’ star’s husband – who has nine-year-old son Benjamin with the singer – admitted since taking up the competition, her shape has “changed completely” and now looks like a pro athlete.
He said: “Faye is so enthusiastic and determined. She puts the hours in, so her results are only fair. Faye’s tiny. She’s changed shape completely and is totally toned.
“She looks like a professional athlete.”
Faye has hit the top of the leaderboard at times throughout the competition, and she and Giovanni received a high score of 38 for their energetic Tango to Blondie’s hit ‘Call Me’ on Saturday night (03.11.18).
She added: “It’s a life box ticked – I don’t want ‘Strictly’ to end.
“I’m living the dream. I’m on a break from Steps at the moment and doing ‘Strictly’ is the most magical thing in the world.
“It’s about learning new skills and having a lovely time. It’s not really about the competition for me or if I win it or not.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Belo has slammed ‘Big Brother’ presenters Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal – claiming they “drive him insane”.
The former ‘Big Brother’ winner has hit out at the show’s presenter and the ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ host, admitting he much preferred the predecessors, host Davina McCall and spin-off presenter Dermot O’Leary, who fronted the series – which will come to an end for good tonight (05.11.18) – before it began airing on Channel 5 in 2011.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, he said: “Emma and Rylan just absolutely drive me insane.
“They fool everybody into thinking they’re the most famous people in the world. Everyone’s treating them like they’re Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.
“Dude, seriously these people aren’t Dermot and Davina. I don’t mean to be nasty, but I’ve seen Davina do interviews and I’ve been in the same room as Dermot doing his thing, and they don’t struggle when reading off an autocue.”
The iconic housemate also claimed Emma and Rylan – who shot to fame as an ‘X Factor’ contestant – are like “lunatics running the asylum”, and admitted he “can’t wait” for the show to end tonight.
Brian said: “He’s from ‘X Factor’ as well, that’s what’s even more embarrassing. That’s why it’s getting axed, because a novelty contestant is actually running ‘Big Brother’.
“It’s like the lunatics running the asylum. ‘He’s just so annoying. Everyone’s taking the mick out of you. His head is just over-inflated.
“I can’t wait for ‘Big Brother’ to end and for him to see how stupid it got, and it’s the same for Emma.
“‘Big Brother’ is the biggest format out of all these shows, it’s not the fact that it’s crap, it’s that you’ve got them running it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke and Matt Goss have urged the Gallagher brothers to reconcile and reform Oasis.
The 48-year-old twins put their own differences aside to reform Bros and perform 30th anniversary concerts at The O2 in London in 2017 and more importantly for them they repaired their relationship as siblings.
The pair – who broke up Bros in 1992 – insist Noel and Liam need to put an end to their nine-year feud which has raged since the 51-year-old guitarist walked out on Oasis following a furious backstage bust-up with the 46-year-old singer and realise “how valuable brotherhood is”.
Speaking to The I Paper, Luke said: “Independently, as well as together, Noel and Liam create magic. I can only hope – without any desire to get involved in their lives – that they find a way to realise how valuable brotherhood is. Music should not create casualties.”
Joking that Bros and Oasis could do a joint tour if they do patch things up, Matt added: “I went to Noel’s house many years ago. Oasis are a great band and I love their music. A ‘Broasis’ joint tour? I love the idea.
We stuck at it. We recognised during the storm that we would rather destroy the band than destroy our friendship.”
Since playing their anniversary shows, Luke and Matt have vowed to never split up again because they’ve realised that the “incredible journey” that they’ve been on with the fans they made at the height of their fame in the late 80s isn’t over yet.
Luke said: “We’ve made our decision that Bros will never disband again. We’re still on an incredible journey with our community of fans. We are brothers for life.”
The pair feature in new documentary ‘Bros: After The Screaming Stops’ – which hits cinemas from this Friday (09.11.18) – and Matt admits it was tough to make the film because it meant giving up his privacy.
The ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ hitmaker said: “We value our privacy most of all, which is why we’ve never milked our celebrity status for reality TV – so it was a fearful decision. This film nearly broke me. I didn’t want to finish it at one point. I just wanted to go home. I had my life and I love singing but it was starting to get too painful and our relationship was in real jeopardy.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Diddy jumped out of a plane and landed in the Playboy Mansion for his birthday.
To mark the rapper’s 49th birthday on Sunday (04.11.18), he decided to “live his best life” and fulfil his dream of skydiving and urged his fans to pray for him before he took to the skies.
The ‘Last Night’ singer shared a video of himself on Twitter while preparing to jump and in the clip, he said: “It’s my birthday and I’m about to jump out of a plane, I always wanted to do it.
“No I didn’t always really wanna do it but I started thinking about it this year I wanted to do it but it didn’t happen.
“Then I said I was gonna do it for my birthday so I’m gonna jump out of a plane and attempt to land two houses away in the backyard of the Playboy Mansion okay.
“I’m living my best life and I wanna tell ya’ll to make sure ya’ll vote, say a little prayer for me right now I’m about to go up in the air.”
However, the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker wanted fans to know he had set his mind on the sky dive before Will Smith performed a similar stunt in September.
He said: “I wanted to do this before I saw Will Smith jump out a plane but he definitely gave me some inspiration after seeing him jump out but mine was definitely scheduled so Will I don’t want you to think I’m biting.”
The producer later shared a video of himself completing the parachute jump and successfully landing in the garden of the Playboy Mansion while excited friends and family greeted him.
He wrote: “I DID IT!!! Thank you to my neighbors at the Playboy Mansion for letting me use their house to land. NO FEAR!!!! “(sic)
Meanwhile, Diddy’s birthday celebrations ended on a sour note when police were forced to shut down a wild party at the music mogul’s mansion.
According to TMZ, law enforcement was called to his house at around 2am on Monday (05.11.18) due to a disturbance and when they arrived, they spoke to security and told them to end the bash.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ezra Miller thinks it’s time to “drop men like flies”.
The 26-year-old actor has said men in today’s society need to be “rehabilitated” in the wake of movements such as #MeToo and Time’s Up – which aim to bring an end to sexual misconduct and push for gender equality – as he wants men to realise what they need to change.
He said: “Let’s rehabilitate men. Let’s drop men like flies. I’m with it. And then let’s rehabilitate them when they’re on the ground. This is some ‘Wonder Woman’ s**t right here. What’s the Amazonian solution to this?”
The ‘Justice League’ star identifies as gender fluid – meaning he has no fixed gender and doesn’t identify entirely with being male or female – and says he has been “overjoyed” to find that there’s plenty of room in Hollywood for his “very strange and fluid expressions”.
He added to the latest issue of GQ Style magazine: “I’m comfortable with all the pronouns. I let he/his/him ride, and that’s fine. I was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed by how much room there was for my very strange and fluid expressions.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has wished her former Spice Girls band mates “so much love” after they announced they will reunite without her.
The ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmakers confirmed four of the group – Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Mel B – will be reuniting for six concerts in the UK next summer, and although fifth member Victoria won’t be joining them, she has taken to social media to give the girls her support.
Posting a professional shot of the four of them on Instagram on Monday (05.11.18), Victoria wrote: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012! I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls #friendshipneverends (sic)”
The 44-year-old star – who has children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, with her husband David Beckham – left much of her singing career behind when Spice Girls disbanded in 2000, and has since moved into fashion designing, setting up her own eponymously titled label in 2008.
Meanwhile, the remaining members of the ‘Wannabe’ singers will kick off their tour at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on 1 June, before calling at Coventry’s Ricoh Stadium two days later, the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on 6 June, BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 8 June, Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on 10 June, and ends on 15 June at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Emma said: “It’s time to spice things up all over again!!!!! I can’t wait to perform to our forever supporting fans and a whole new spice generation! Love you all! (sic)”
Mel B said: “I’ve said it sooo many times I’m beside myself it’s actually happening yipppeeee. I’m now properly screaming it from every rooftop – me and my girls will see you all on stage!! (sic)”
Geri added: “I am so excited, together we celebrate girl power with our fans and the next generation and everyone is welcome! Hold tight it’s gonna be fun.”
And Mel C said: “Reminiscing with the girls about how much fun we had, made me feel like it was the right time to do it all over again!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian has hailed her mother Kris Jenner as her “biggest inspiration”.
The ‘Revenge Body’ host – who has six-month-old daughter True with partner Tristan Thompson – paid tribute to the family matriarch on her 63rd birthday on Monday (05.11.18) and praised the “strength, compassion, love, work ethic, beauty and incredible generosity” of her mom.
Sharing a picture of Kris and True, she wrote on Instagram: “Happy beautiful birthday mommy!! You make life look fabulous! At every single stage!
“You excite me when it comes to my future!! I can only pray I can leave a mark on people the way you do.
“I love you so much. Without you, I would never be where I am right now. Literally and emotionally.
“You’ve been my biggest inspiration for all of the years of my life. Your strength, compassion, love, work ethic, beauty and your incredible generosity is beyond anything else I have witnessed. There are so many good things I could say about you. The list could go on forever. (sic)”
Khloe then went on to describe Kris as her “hero and heart” and urged her to be a “queen” on her birthday.
She added: “Mom, we ALL love and adore you!!! You are my hero and my heart! I am so thankful to have you in my life! Thankful for our blessings and for the love you give each and everyone of us! Today please enjoy being the Queen that you are!!! Happy birthday Queen (sic)”
Last week, Kris’ youngest daughter, 21-year-old Kylie Jenner, surprised her mom with a classic red Ferrari as an early birthday gift.
She wrote on Instagram: “488 For The Queen #EarlyBdayGift. My mom’s dream car. (sic)”
Kylie captured the exact moment she gave her mom the gift in a video she posted on her Instagram Story.
She said in the clip: “Alright, so I’m on my way to my mom’s house to surprise her with her birthday gift. I’ve had this for the last month, and I am so excited to finally be giving it to her. It’s a little dark outside, so I hope that she can see it good.”
Kris could be seen coming out the house in her pyjamas, alongside her beau Corey Gamble, and when she’s presented with the car, she squealed: “What is that? What? Are you kidding me? Oh my god! I would have dressed cuter! What is going on? I don’t even know what to do! How do you even start it?”
