OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend wants people to stop “armchair-diagnosing” Kanye West.
The 39-year-old singer has been close friends with the ‘Heartless’ rapper for many years, and has said that following Kanye’s social media outbursts – which have seen him voice his support for controversial president Donald Trump, as well as claim the 400 years of black slavery was a “choice” – many people have tried to label him with a mental health condition.
And whilst John “clearly disagreed” with the things Kanye posted, he insists what’s “going on in his brain” is no-one’s business.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal magazine, the ‘All of Me’ hitmaker said: “A lot of people have tried to armchair-diagnose him, but I leave it to him and his doctor to discuss what’s going on in his brain. Clearly I disagreed with some of the things he was saying, and I was worried that his saying it might empower some of the wrong forces, might be really demoralising for people who looked up to him and thought of him as a leader.”
John’s comments come after Kanye, 41, previously claimed he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but said he thinks he was just battling with “sleep deprivation” rather than the mental health disorder.
He said: “What I think is we don’t need sentences, we need pardons. We need to talk to people. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I was connected with a neuropsychologist that works with the athletes in the NBA and NFL. He looked at my brain. I wasn’t actually bipolar, I had sleep deprivation which can cause dementia 10 to 20 years from now when I wouldn’t even remember my son’s name.”
But the rapper – who has North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, nine months, with his wife Kim Kardashian West – previously revealed he had learned to embrace his bipolar.
He explained: “I think it’s important for us to have open conversations about mental health – especially with me being black. Because we never had therapists in the black community. We never approached taking a medication. I think it’s good that when I had my first complete blackout at age five, my mom didn’t fully medicate me. Because I might have never been ‘Ye. And there’s times where at least I’m happy that I know [I’m bipolar.] Like, even like for this interview, I knew I wanted to stay in a calm state.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande is Billboard magazine’s Woman of the Year.
The 25-year-old singer has been named Woman of the Year for 2018 by the music publication, and will be on hand to receive the honour in person during Billboard’s annual Women in Music dinner and award gala in New York City next month on December 6.
Ross Scarano, Billboard’s Vice President of Content, said in a statement: “Ariana Grande is a star on her own terms, never bending to any particular musical trend or path in the industry. Certain in her convictions, she consistently stands up for herself and her decisions in a world that often isn’t hospitable to that sort of strength in young women. She’s got guts, she’s making some of the best music of her career, and she’s absolutely deserving of Woman of the Year.”
And the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker couldn’t be happier with the news, as she took to Twitter on Tuesday (06.11.18) to thank Billboard for the “honour”.
In a brief tweet, she wrote: “thank u for this honor @billboard. (sic)”
For Ariana, the award follows a tough year which has seen her mourning the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller – who died in September – and split from her fiancé Pete Davidson last month.
But the star has had some positives this year too, with her new track ‘thank u, next’ becoming the first pop song to reach the number one spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global Chart as well on the Top 100 U.S. Chart.
The song had 9 million streams worldwide in the first 24 hours, and Ariana also set the Spotify record for the biggest day for a female artist, with 8.19 million streams.
In August, her album ‘Sweetener’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney is auctioning off his Harley Davidson motorbike as part of the Home for Our Troops Veterans Day Celebrity Auction.
The 57-year-old actor is set to say goodbye to his 2017 Dresser Touring Ultra Limited FLHTK Harley Davidson as it has gone up for auction on an eBay listing set up by the Home for Our Troops charity, where the money goes towards building custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.
George is said to be parting with his bike after he was involved in a scary crash on his scooter in Italy in July, where he was thrown from the vehicle after colliding with a car, and suffered slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one knee and arm.
A product description for the auctioned bike reads: “Ever since George Clooney’s motorcycle accident, his wife Amal has told him he’s off two wheels for good. George just bought a brand new dresser Harley with only 25 MILES ON THE ODOMETER!– all yours if you win the bidding. You’re responsible for pickup in Los Angeles. George will even sign it for you!!! (sic)”
As of the time of writing, the motorbike currently has no bids, and the starting price is set at $25,000. The auction ends in just under nine days time.
Following his crash, the ‘Money Monster’ star was looked after by his wife Amal Clooney, whom he married in 2014 and has has one-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with, at their Italian home.
A source at the time said: “Amal wouldn’t leave his side. It was obvious that she was concerned.”
And it was said that during the accident, George was thrown 20 foot in the air, and the force of his impact with the car shattered his helmet.
The insider added: “George was doing 60 MPH when a car suddenly pulled in front of him. Clooney was thrown from his bike and his helmet struck the car’s windshield, causing it to shatter. The force of the impact actually broke his helmet. George was hurled 20 feet in the air … he was actually propelled over the car he hit.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has posted on Instagram for the first time since entering rehab over the summer, in a post urging people to vote in the US midterm elections.
The 26-year-old singer entered rehab in August after being discharged from hospital following an apparent overdose at the end of July, and she has now broken her social media silence in an Instagram post which called for Americans to go and vote in the ongoing midterm elections.
Posting a picture of herself at a polling station, Demi wrote: “I am so grateful to be home in time to vote! One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard! now go out and #VOTE!!!! (sic)”
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer is said to be planning on returning to rehab in order to spend the rest of the year in the treatment centre, and sources recently claimed she has “truly turned her life around”.
An insider said: “Demi is happy and healthy has done a complete 180 since she overdosed. Her 90 days in rehab have truly turned her life around. She wants to remain out of rehab. She has a sober coach and a complete support system.”
The source also said Demi has “dedicated herself” to a life of sobriety following several years of struggling with addiction, and is thought to be distancing herself from her old friend group who had “supported her precarious lifestyle” in the past.
They added: “Demi has struggled for so long with addiction and her friends and family couldn’t be more proud of her work. This process has been incredibly beneficial to Demi in so many ways. She is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle.
“[She] has dedicated herself to her sober life and has surrounded herself with people in her program. She is avoiding those in her social circle that supported her precarious lifestyle. Demi deserves a partner who will help her continue to live a clean life and her family and friends feel she is choosing more appropriate friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taraji P. Henson doesn’t “feed into” her insecurities.
The 48-year-old actress has said that whilst she still has hang ups about her body just like everybody else, she refuses to let her negative thoughts have any “power” over her.
She said: “As humans, we all have them. But I try not to give them power. I try not to feed into them.”
But that doesn’t stop the ‘Empire’ star from having “moments” where she notices things she doesn’t like about her body.
She added: “Like yesterday, I was sitting on the stage … and my knees just looked really fat. I looked down and was like, ‘Oh my god.’ [But] you know what? I’d rather have fat knees than knobbly knees!”
Although Taraji might not let her insecurities get the better of her, she admits she does still have fears, and says she’s long been afraid of “loss in general”.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: “Life is fleeting, time is ticking. We’re sitting here and we got five minutes that we will never get back. [I’m] learning to enjoy the now and embrace the unknown because that’s life. You have no control.”
The ‘Hidden Figures’ star is currently engaged to former NFL player Kelvin Hayden, and recently said there’s no-one else she’d rather be tying the knot with than her closest pal.
She said: “My fans know. They’ve read my book, they know my story, they know I’ve been looking for love. I just feel happy and I feel like I’ve finally found the one. This is the guy I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. I’m marrying my best friend.”
Taraji announced her engagement on social media but admits she has a “totally love/hate” relationship with the Internet as she often feels too “judged” by trolls, but notes that it is an excellent platform to communicate with her fans.
She added: “Some days, I don’t want to be seen by the world. I just don’t want to be judged. ‘Why does she wear that color shirt? Why’s her hair like that?’ And then there are days when I feel like, ‘Hmm, I just want to say hey to the people,’ or I have something to promote. But when I don’t have to, I don’t. OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts wasn’t making a “statement” when she showed off her armpit hair at the premiere of ‘Notting Hill’.
The 51-year-old actress famously flashed her hairy underarms during the premiere of the movie in 1999, but has insisted the choice to skip the shave wasn’t done as part of a feminist protest, but instead was just because she assumed her sleeves would be long enough to cover her armpits.
Speaking during an appearance on Busy Philipps’ E! talk show ‘Busy Tonight’, Julia said: “The picture is vivid in my mind actually from that moment. I think I just hadn’t really calculated my sleeve length and the waving, and how those two things would go together and reveal personal things about me. So it wasn’t so much a statement as it’s just part of the statement I make as a human on the planet, for myself.”
Whilst the ‘Homecoming’ star might not have been making a feminist statement with her choice of body hair at the premiere, she did recently slam the idea of age discrimination in Hollywood, insisting there’s no “bell” that rings to tell you you’re too old for movies.
Speaking about ageism in the movie industry, Julia said: “I think that’s made-up bulls**t that at a certain age, the bell is going to ring and you are done, go on back home. It’s silly and I don’t think anybody buys into that. I don’t think I am special. I’ve always been fortunate that I have always found the work I am looking for. I mean, 30 years is a long time and I am grateful and satisfied.”
And Julia also has strong feelings about the gender pay gap, and says that although the problem still exists, it is getting better “every day”.
She said: “It’s an ongoing thing that we wish was more in the rear view. But every day … today I know the World Surfing League announced that they will have equal pay for their female surfers and male surfers. And Manchester United has a female team that started this year. I think there are places where people are really making those efforts in the right direction. So if it’s a little bit of time, then we have to take it and be happy for it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are said to be “working together” toward a custody agreement over their brood.
The former couple – who split in September 2016 after two years of marriage – have Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne together, and after it was reported earlier this week that they will go to trial over custody in December, it has now been claimed they’re continuing to work toward a settlement ahead of their trial date.
A source said: “Both parties continue to work together toward a settlement.”
And whilst it was also reported that problems were set to arise as Angelina seeks full custody and Brad aims for a 50/50 split, the source insists that isn’t the case.
They added to People magazine: “Angelina isn’t seeking full custody.”
Angelina and Brad, 54, will head to court on December 4 where they are expected to enter a further two to three weeks of custody negotiations, and insiders claim the former couple are doing their best to settle things outside of court before the trial begins.
In addition to the custody dispute, the private judge also needs to handle a property settlement agreement as the former couple do not have a prenuptial agreement.
Legal documents filed on Monday (05.11.18) said Brad and Angelina, 43, want to extend the appointment of Judge Ouderkirk as a temporary judge until June 30, 2019, and he will hear and determine all pretrial issues, requests and motions, as well as the trial.
The pair began custody evaluations last month, and in August, they reached an “interim” arrangement over the care of their kids, just weeks after the ‘Salt’ actress accused Brad of not paying any “meaningful” child support since she filed for divorce.
But days later, the ‘Fight Club’ star argued he had “loaned” his estranged wife $8 million to help her purchase her current house and contributed over $1.3 million “in bills for the benefit of [Jolie] and the minor children.”
His lawyer Lance Spiegel added that Brad “adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid child support.”
Earlier this year, Angelina was ordered by a judge to allow her children to spend more time with their father, or risk losing custody.
The judge told her: “If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba says proposing to Sabrina Dhowre was “the most nerve-wracking thing” he’s ever done.
The 46-year-old actor popped the question to the model in February, and has admitted that whilst he was incredibly nervous throughout the whole exchange, he also made sure to make the proposal “pretty romantic”.
He said: “[Proposing] was the most nerve-wracking thing for me ever. But in terms of wanting to make someone feel super special and feel my love, that was pretty romantic for me.”
Idris was originally planning to propose to Sabrina on Valentine’s Day (14.02.18), but after realising “that was going to be problematic”, he decided to do it at a screening for his film ‘Yardie’, which he directed.
He said: “I was at a cast and crew screening and among people I loved. We had all worked so hard for this project so I was like I’m doing it right now, here, today.”
And now wedding plans are in full swing, the ‘Luther’ star insists he’s planning on putting his own stamp on the nuptials by booking “19 DJs”.
Idris said: “It’s a special day, but we both have our own ideas. I want about 19 deejays. There have to be, c’mon!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian had dinner with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick and his new beau Sofia Richie in order to “interact and bond”.
The 39-year-old reality star split with Scott – with whom she has Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three – in 2015 after almost a decade of on and off dating, and although he has been romancing Sofia for over a year, the two women were only introduced this weekend when they met for dinner at Nobu in Malibu.
A source said: “Scott, Sofia and Kourtney had dinner together at Nobu on Sunday and it was very amicable. Scott and Sofia are very serious and Scott felt it was important that Sofia and Kourtney interact and bond.
“They have kept things separate for over a year now, and Kourtney is now more open and willing to have a surface level relationship with Sofia.”
Kourtney and Scott, 35, have “agreed” it would be best for their brood if the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star is acquainted with 20-year-old Sofia, and sources claim the trio’s dinner was very casual and simply a chance for everyone to be in the same room at the same time.
The insider added to E! News: “Scott and Kourtney both agreed it is better to get the elephant out of the room and for them to all be in each other’s lives in order to make things flow easiest for the sake of the kids.”
The dinner comes just one month after a source claimed Kourtney and Scott were aiming to do things as a “family unit” for the sake of their children.
An insider said at the time: “When things are going well between Scott and Kourtney, they like to do things together as a family unit for the sake of the kids.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jesy Nelson has reportedly split from boyfriend Harry James.
The Little Mix star and the 24-year-old singer/songwriter are believed to have called time on their romance after 16 months together – as the
the ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ hitmaker is “focused” on her career in the band and feels it “makes sense” for them to be apart at the moment.
A source says the split is amicable and the pair “remain good friends”.
The insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Jesy and Harry enjoyed their time together but have decided to call it a day.
“There are no hard feelings between them and they remain good friends – just at the moment it makes sense for them to separate.
“Jesy is in work mode ahead of the release of Little Mix’s new album ‘LM5’ and she’s happy focusing on performances with the girls and promoting their material.”
The pair first started dating after they enjoyed a holiday together in Mykonos, Greece, in July, 2017, and were said to be “completely smitten” with one another.

The former Miss Vancouver has shared her excitement at the ‘Luther’ star being named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, and even referred to the 46-year-old hunk as her “hubby” already.
Alongside the publication’s cover with Idris on it, she wrote on Instagram: “That’s my hubby!!! Yaaaaasssssss thanks @people but I already knew #chocolateforthewin #lovewakinguptohisface (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl “needed” a career break to stay sane.
The former Girls Aloud singer is returning to the spotlight this week with the release of her single ‘Love Made Me Do It’ and she admitted she took a hiatus from music because she felt “jaded” and was questioning her choices.
She said: “I needed it for my sanity. I honestly didn’t know how much I needed it until I did it. I’d just had enough.
“I wasn’t inspired, I was jaded. It felt like a negative space I was living in and then you get to the point where it’s like ‘What is the point?’
“I could be doing something I hate doing and feel the same way, so why am I like putting myself through this?
“I like a balance. I like peace and harmony in my life.”
And now she’s returned to her career, Cheryl is very “excited” to be back.
She said: “I’m excited. I’m comfortable and confident in the music, but I’m just happy to be doing it again. I’m not nervous about it, I don’t feel pressure, I just feel excited.”
The 35-year-old singer dismissed speculation her comeback track, and many others on her upcoming album, are about her break-up with Liam Payne, who she split from four months ago after two years together.
Cheryl – who has son Bear, 19 months, with Liam – told Jessie Ware on her ‘Table Manners’ podcast: “Actually all the music and all the songs that I’ve got ready were done way before we split – none of them are about anybody.
“I wasn’t sat writing a love poem to anyone or about anybody.
“It’s something that anyone who’s been in love will be able to relate to in some way or another.
“It’s catchy and it’s fun. It’s not about one specific person or relationship, it’s more about me being the lover of love that I am. I just love love!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ayda Field felt “powerless” when her son battled health problems.
The ‘X Factor’ judge – who has daughters Teddy, six, and Coco, two months, and son Charlie, four, with husband Robbie Williams – admitted “nothing else in the world” mattered when the youngster was ill with an unspecified condition.
Speaking at the Pride of Britain awards about Child of Courage winner Ella Chadwick – who was born with a rare kidney disease and has undergone two transplants – Ayda said: “My son’s had health problems.
“Nothing as serious as Ella’s, but when your child is ill you feel so vulnerable, so powerless.
“Nothing else in the world matters until they’re well again.
“So I really felt all Ella’s mum’s worry and pain.To see Ella so strong, sweet, selfless and cheeky, is so uplifting.”
Meanwhile, just weeks after welcoming Coco into the world via a surrogate, the 39-year-old actress recently admitted she’d already been talking to the ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker about having another baby.
She recently said: “I wouldn’t say no to four. I’ve been asking for another one already. You have to ask. After that the shop would be closed. We’d be in a people carrier and we’d be done. It’s been a miraculous experience and I’m super-grateful and if I can convince him for four then drinks are on me.”
However, the 44-year-old singer didn’t seem as keen because he doesn’t want to be an old parent.
He said: “Teddy’s asking for another one. Ayda’s doing subliminals, I just don’t know, I’m going to give it a few months to see how I feel.
I know people are having kids a lot older in life but when Coco’s 30, I’ll be 70.
“I’m 44 and my mum’s still here, she’s in her late seventies and I know how quickly life goes, and I’d like to be around for my kids.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins will skate with Matt Evers on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star has landed the programme’s most experienced professional skater – who has appeared in all 10 series but was voted off first with Candice Brown in the most recent run – and they have now begun rehearsing together.
It has also been confirmed that cricketer Ryan Sidebottom will skate with Brandee Malto, who made her debut on the show in the last series when she was partnered by ‘Coronation Street’ actor Antony Cotton.
The couplings come after four other pairings were revealed earlier this week.
Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dancer James Jordan will skate with Alexandra Schauman, while ex-‘Neighbours’ actor Mark Little will team up with Brianne Delcourt and singer Saara Alto will perform with Hamish Gaman.
‘Coronation Street’ actress Jane Danson is likely to already know her partner, Sylvain Longchambon, well because he’s married to her co-star Samia Ghadie.
Though the other pairings have yet to be revealed, ITV recently confirmed the line-up of professionals taking part this year.
Last year’s winner Vanessa Bauer – who was partnered with Jake Quickenden – is returning, alongside Alex Murphy, Mark Hanretty and Lukasz Royzcki, and newcomers Carlotta Edwards and Alexander Demetriou.
Fan favourite Dan Whiston will be Associate Creative Director on the new series.
Other celebrities taking part include Wes Nelson, Brian McFadden, Didi Conn and Melody Thornton.
Karen Barber is back as head coach, while Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will head up the judging panel once more alongside Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ollie Locke has “cracked Hollywood”.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has landed a role in director Michael Winterbottom’s new film ‘Greed’ alongside Isla Fisher, Steve Coogan and Shanina Shaik and has been busy filming the movie in Greece.
Isla, 42, uploaded a picture to Instagram in which the 31-year-old reality TV star could be seen in the background amid a number of extras, but movie insiders revealed Ollie is more than just a background character.
A source told the MailOnline newspaper: “Ollie was out in Greece last month for a large portion of the shoot after landing a part in ‘Greed’.
“He’s starring alongside Isla and Steve, who are obviously huge names in the acting world.
“Ollie’s fans will have to wait a while before the movie is released, but it’s pretty exciting that someone from Made In Chelsea has cracked Hollywood and will be appearing on the big screen.”
Last month, Ollie teased a number of posts on Instagram which were posted from Greece and captioned “#secretproject”.
In one, he branded actresses Pearl Mackie and Sophie Cookson and ‘Boy In The Striped Pyjamas’ star Asa Butterfield his “new family”, while another picture was taken of Ollie overlooking the sea.
He cryptically captioned the post: “When you have a day off filming and I thank the world so much I get to do my job! I love trying to make people smile and will do everything in my power to try do that everyday! Xxx #greece #filming #secretproject (sic)”
At the end of the month, the Chappy founder shared another photo with Pearl and actress Sarah Solemani and revealed he was close to finishing filming.
He wrote: “The eve of the last day of filming in Greece I can’t wait for you all to watch what we have made! After 3 weeks we have all had a moment/s missing our families but beyond any project I have ever worked on became such a large part of each other lives and I can’t wait to continue with more stories back at home Xxx (sic)”
Isla has also been sharing photos featuring some of the same actors and actresses working in Greece.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dinah Jane found going solo “kind of scary”.
The 21-year-old singer’s released her debut solo single, ‘Bottled Up’ – which features Marc E. Bassy and Ty Dolla $ign – in September, six months after her group Fifth Harmony went on hiatus, and she was worried about living up to people’s expectations with the track.
She said: “It was kind of scary at first.
“I feel like people expect a lot from me. I feel like people always had an idea of who ‘Dinah Jane’ was, but being that this was my first [single] … I want you to get familiar with where I’ve come from.”
And the singer admitted it took time to adjust to not having the rest of the band with her.
Speaking on the ‘Billboard Pop Shop’ podcast, she said: “I wish that was the attitude in the beginning – ‘oh yeah, I’m ready!’ – but it wasn’t. Just ’cause I was so used to my girls, their company, we always went everywhere together.”
But the former ‘X Factor’ contestant has found it easier to write songs without the rest of the group.
She explained: “[I don’t] have to think about other people’s opinions and let that interfere with what I’m feeling. And I’m sure [the rest of Fifth Harmony] all feel the same way.”
When she was working on the track with Bassy, Dinah Jane was “afraid and very timid” but her collaborator gave her lots of encouragement.
She recalled he told her: “No, no, no. Get your hands on this record because it’s something special. It has to come from you, of what you feel and what you see.”
The “really personal” song was originally a ballad but it got sped up and Dinah Jane was able to produce the track she really wanted.
She said: “I didn’t let fear get in the way of the subject or let people think this is far off from who I am.
“I just wanted to step into me being a woman as well. Not being afraid to talk about things that actually are real. There [were] no barriers when I wrote this one with him…
“I know so many friends and family that are really close and so dear to me that have trouble expressing how they feel, so they turn to these substances to actually get their emotions out.”
