Dave Grohl’s dream drumming role

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl wants to play drums for AC/DC.
The Foo Fighters frontman has played the instrument for some of the world’s biggest artists – including Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, and David Bowie – but has one last artist to check off his bucket list.
Asked who else he’d like to play drums for, he told Forbes magazine: “AC/DC. That’s my last one, that’s it. Phil Rudd is back though. If you dive back into their back catalogue, that early shit, there was a little bit more dynamic, then they settled into the groove. That’s the thing. And it’s because of Phil Rudd. It’s AC/DC, but that guy holds the key.”
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old musician previously revealed he treats every Foo Fighters album as if it could be their last.
He shared: “Believe me, my Dad, he was a bad ass, and a super smart dude, and a wicked musician with perfect pitch. So he didn’t take any of this lightly, and one of his friends that he grew up with was a famous drummer in Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass. When his friend passed away he kind of had nothing. He spent all his money, so he kind of blew it. So when Nirvana became popular my Dad was like, ‘Dude, look, listen. This is what happened to my friend, you know this ain’t going to last, you better treat every single cheque like it’s your last one, and don’t mess around.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ I honestly did, and to this day, I still feel that way. I feel like, okay, well this is going to be the last record, this is going to be the last record.”

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace laments end of Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace will “buy a channel” to keep ‘Big Brother’ on the air.
The 39-year-old television personality – who finished third on the reality show in the seventh series of the show in 2006 – says she is in “total denial” at the fact that what could be the final series of the show ended on Monday night (05.11.18).
Writing in her column for The Sun Online, she shared: “IT’S the final curtain, BUT I’M STILL IN TOTAL DENIAL! Even after sobbing my way through last night’s final and sobbing my way through writing this column … I STILL refuse to believe this is the end … Please will someone at least take the show on even if just for the celeb version? Damn, I’m even thinking of buying a channel and taking the show on myself if no one else will. The budget would be REAL budget, rations would mean REAL rations, but at least the show would go on. (sic)”
Host Emma Willis broke down live on television as she bid farewell to ‘Big Brother’.
Speaking at the end of the episode – which saw 19-year-old Cameron Cole crowned the winner – she said: “Thank you to the 300 plus production team that work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring you our very special show. To Davina [McCall], Marcus, and Brian, who have paved the way as hosts. To all of the ‘Big Brother’ housemates that have taken part over the last 18 years, and to all of you at home. Whether you’ve been here for the long haul, or you’ve recently climbed on board, with you, we would never have lasted 18 years.”

Rihanna hits out at Trump over music

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has called for Donald Trump to stop using her music at his rallies.
The ‘Disturbia’ hitmaker was fuming when she realised the US president had been playing ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ at a rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Responding to a man, who revealed that Trump was using her music, she wrote: “Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip! (sic)”
And the Barbados beauty is not the first person to stop Trump from using their music as Pharrell Williams’ lawyer recently sent a cease-and-desist letter to Trump after he played ‘Happy’ at a political rally in Indiana last week, just hours after a mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The letter, which was written by attorney Howard King, stated: “On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana. There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose. Pharrell Williams is the owner of the copyright in ‘Happy,’ with the exclusive right to exploit same. Pharrell has not, and will not, grant you permission to publicly perform or otherwise broadcast or disseminate any of his music.”
And Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler was left unimpressed when Trump played ‘Livin’ on the Edge’ at a rally, three years after he had been issued a warning for using ‘Dream On’ at campaign rallies while looking to be elected.
A legal notice stated: “By using ‘Livin’ On The Edge’ without our client’s permission, Mr. Trump is falsely implying that our client, once again, endorses his campaign and/or his presidency, as evidenced by actual confusion seen from the reactions of our client’s fans all over social media.”

Paul Martin hopes Flog It! gets send off it deserves

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Martin hopes there will be some “special” episodes of ‘Flog It!’ before it retires from screens.
The 59-year-old presenter and antiques expert has spent the past 18 years working on the daytime antiques show, and after it was announced that the BBC are axing the programme, he admits he’s “missing” the show already and hopes it gets the send off it deserves.
Paul would like to see celebrity or charity episodes air.
He said: “Secretly I’m thinking maybe there’ll be some specials or some Children In Need ones or a celebrity ‘Flog It!’.
“It’s down to the channel really and I can’t make those decisions. I’m kind of missing it already. It’s 18 years of my life.”
Paul is keeping busy since the announcement, with his new show ‘Make Me A Dealer’, which is similar to ‘Flog It!”, having kicked off on BBC One on Monday (05.11.18)
And he also has another game show in the pipeline, ‘Curiosity’, which will pit two amateur antiques enthusiasts against each other to make the most money at auction.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “It’s two teams using their skill and intuition. It’s against-the-clock and they’ve got to answer questions on antiques, on collectables, on history, on all things vintage.
“They’ve also got to complete tasks in room sets, dating decades. And then they battle it out and the winners take home £1,000.
“It’s really unpredictable, it’s crazy, it’s oozing with fun. It’s going to be one of the best shows on BBC TV.”
The BBC was inundated with complaints over their decision to axe ‘Flog It!’.
Upset viewers have been bombarding the broadcaster with calls, urging them to rethink their decision.
After it was announced the show was to be axed, BBC controller of daytime and programming Dan McGolphin praised the BBC1 series as a “huge success” but insisted it was necessary to make changes to appeal to a new generation of viewers.
He said: “If we’re trying to create the new generation then some of the long-running shows will have to go.
“Now and again, we reach a time to move on and modernise, bringing through some new shows.
“The ideas we have here are hugely scalable, they are modern and accessible, lots of fun and hugely relevant to people across the UK.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt get custody trial date

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s custody battle will go to trial in December.
The former couple – who split in September 2016 after two years of marriage – will face one another in court for two to three weeks in December 4.
The ‘Maleficent’ actress is seeking sole physical custody of their six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – but the 54-year-old actor is asking for 50/50 joint custody.
In addition to the custody dispute, the private judge also needs to handle a property settlement agreement as the former couple do not have a prenuptial agreement.
Legal documents filed on Monday (05.11.18) said Brad and Angelina, 43, want to extend the appointment of Judge Ouderkirk as a temporary judge until June 30, 2019, and he will hear and determine all pretrial issues, requests and motions, as well as the trial.
At the judge’s discretion, the ‘Moneyball’ actor and the ‘Unbroken’ director may be able to appear at the trial – which will take place at an as-yet-undecided location – via a telephone link.
It is expected the courtroom will be sealed off to anyone other than the parties involved because of the involvement of minors.
The former couple began custody evaluations last month, and in August, they reached an “interim” arrangement over the care of their kids, just weeks after the ‘Salt’ actress accused Brad of not paying any “meaningful” child support since she filed for divorce.
But days later, the ‘Fight Club’ star argued he had “loaned” his estranged wife $8 million to help her purchase her current house and contributed over $1.3 million “in bills for the benefit of [Jolie] and the minor children.”
His lawyer Lance Spiegel added that Brad “adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid child support.”
Earlier this year, Angelina was ordered by a judge to allow her children to spend more time with their father, or risk losing custody.
The judge told her: “If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”

Demi Lovato’s friend helping her stay sober

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato’s friend Henry Levy is helping her stay sober.
It’s said the 26-year-old star became friends with the clothing designer a few years ago after they met in rehab, and they were recently spotted spending time together three months after she was hospitalised following an apparent overdose.
An insider told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Henry and Demi met a few years ago in rehab. They hit it off immediately and became fast friends.
“Henry takes his sober life very seriously and, when Demi sadly relapsed, they lost touch for some time… Henry is exactly the friend Demi needs right now.
“He is a perfect sober friend for her. Her friends feel he is a positive influence on her.”
‘Enfants Riches Déprimé’ designer Henry has been opened about his own battles with drugs and alcohol addiction, and it’s said the friends have been spending time together to help them both stay sober.
The source added: “Henry and Demi have been hanging at Demi’s home watching movies. This is such a key time in Demi’s sober process and just staying away from the party scene truly helps.”
The ‘Sober’ singer is said to have “dedicated herself” to a life of sobriety following several years of struggling with addiction, and is thought to be distancing herself from her old friend group who had “supported her precarious lifestyle” in the past.
A source added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Demi has struggled for so long with addiction and her friends and family couldn’t be more proud of her work. This process has been incredibly beneficial to Demi in so many ways. She is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle.
“[She] has dedicated herself to her sober life and has surrounded herself with people in her program. She is avoiding those in her social circle that supported her precarious lifestyle. Demi deserves a partner who will help her continue to live a clean life and her family and friends feel she is choosing more appropriate friends.”

Robert Pattinson’s movie ‘torture’

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Pattinson almost “punched” his ‘Lighthouse’ director.
The 32-year-old actor felt like he was being “tortured” when filmmaker Robert Eggers had him keep reshooting a scene where he was sprayed with water and he admitted the conflict caused some “interesting energy”.
He recalled of the scene: “That’s the closest I’ve come to punching a director.
“However much I love Robert [Eggers], there was a point where I did five takes walking across the beach, and after a while I was like, ‘What the f**k is going on? I feel like you’re just spraying a fire hose in my face.’ And he was like, ‘I am spraying a fire hose in your face.’
“It was like some kind of torture. It definitely creates an interesting energy.”
The ‘Twilight Saga’ star admitted he chooses his movies because he thinks he “can’t” cope with what’s expected of him and he can’t help but confide in his directors that he has “no idea” what he’s doing.
Speaking to his ‘Lighthouse’ co-star Willem Dafoe for Interview magazine, he said: “With every single movie I’ve done, I’ve felt a compulsive need to tell the director on the first day that I have no idea what I’m doing.
“And I think in a larger corporate structure, people just don’t take that well. I don’t think I’m ever going to get to a point where I feel like, ‘Oh, I’m a professional actor with a set of tools ready, and I’ll be able to tell the story using whatever colours you need.’
“I mean, I’ll literally do a movie specifically because I think I can’t do it. You just hope you don’t drown. And then when you don’t drown, you hopefully figure out how to swim.”
Robert went on to compare being an actor to his dad’s job as a car salesman.
He explained: “When I’m making a movie, I don’t think about who’ll watch it at all. I mean, I do want to help get people to the movie. That’s really the only time I think about it.
“There’s a part of me that likes the art of marketing. I feel like a lot of actors don’t even want to think about the commercial prospects of a movie.
“My dad was a car dealer, and I used to love listening to him talk about sales techniques. It’s a performance of reading your audience and seeing where you can lead them. Selling something is pretty similar to playing a character–kind of.”

Rob Norbury joins Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Hollyoaks’ star Rob Norbury has joined ‘Emmerdale’.
The ‘Brief Encounters’ actor has landed a role in the ITV soap as dodgy drayman Leon, a romantic interest for Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins), six years after he last played Riley Costello in ‘Hollyoaks’.
In scenes to be aired next week, Victoria aims to move on from her marriage to missing Adam Barton (Adam Thomas), but Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) are anxious about her getting close to beer buyer.
Upon realising she is being watched by the pair, Victoria ramps up her affections for Leon in the Woolpack, and takes him back home.
However, things take a turn for the worst when he tries to take things further and she pushes him away.
Leon then becomes verbally abusive towards Victoria, but thankfully her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) shows up and chucks him out.
Rob played Riley in ‘Hollyoaks’ from 2010 until 2012, when he was killed off after being accidentally shot by Simon Walker (Neil Newbon).
Since appearing in ‘Oaks’, he landed the role of PC Martin in ITV drama series ‘Brief Encounters’ in 2016 alongside the likes of Sophie Rundle and Angela Griffin, and he also has his own restaurant, Muse, in Oldham, north west England.
Speaking about the bar and eatery last year, he said: “We’re a little bit quirky which is something I really wanted to build on and it seems it’s something other people love too.
“My family helped me with taking Muse cocktail bar on. It was an existing business. Then the building at the side, which had been a real eyesore, came up for sale. It was a no brainer for me.”

Hollyoaks to air diversity episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Hollyoaks’ is to air a special episode celebrating the diversity of the village.
The Channel 4 soap have confirmed they will feature an ep written by Alanna Hallum which will see Mandy Morgan (Sarah Jayne Dunn) and Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) make a tough decision about the health of their unborn baby, set against a backdrop of a charity event celebrating the diversity of characters with disabilities and additional needs.
‘Hollyoaks’ executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said: “‘Hollyoaks’ has grown into one of the most diverse shows on television and our disability visibility reflects that.
“The ‘Hollyoaks’ team’s presentation at Channel 4’s Disability Conference was a celebration of all the trailblazing work that goes on behind the scenes and on-screen.
“We have two exceptionally talented leading actors with disabilities or additional needs in Amy Conachan, who is a wheelchair user, and Talia Grant, who has autism.
“It’s important to us that both Amy and Talia star in huge ‘Hollyoaks’ stories rather than fade into the background.
“The heightened world of ‘Hollyoaks’ is an equal opportunities disaster zone where everyone can fall in love or get caught up in the latest stunt.”
Noah Holdsworth will also have a starring role in the special episode when his character Oscar Osborne, who is deaf, performs in a choir.
Archivist Laura Halligan added: “The episode features a real life signing choir, which Oscar is a part of, and a number of charities who have advised on the script will play a role in the celebratory event.
“Brooke [Holloway, who is portrayed by Talia] plays a pivotal role in reassuring Oscar about this performance, giving him the confidence he needs to shine.
“The episode is as heart breaking as it is heart-warming as we explore the hardships and joys of living with a disability, whilst celebrating the diversity of our cast.”

Mike Myers received last letter from George Harrison on Austin Powers set

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Myers received the last letter the late Beatles legend George Harrison ever wrote when he was shooting ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember’.
The 55-year-old comic star can recall how he was super stressed on a key day of filming on the third instalment of the spoof spy series which saw Tom Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow and Steven Spielberg on set to film a key scene for the movie’s climax.
On that day, Myers misunderstood a phone message from his security supervisor which he misunderstood to be a letter containing a death threat, however, it turned out to be a note from George, who died on November 29, 2001.
Recalling the surreal day in an interview on ‘The Alec Baldwin Show’, he said: “We had to change the schedule to have Tom Cruise play Austin, Danny DeVito play Mini Me, Kevin Spacey play Dr. Evil, Gwyneth Paltrow played this character Nurse Dixie Normous, and Steven Spielberg is playing The Director … it was all on this one day, the movie within the movie. It cost $100,000 in just rescheduling everything.
“I wake up and it’s raining and it’s an outdoor shoot at Paramount and I thought, ‘Ah c**p, we’re dead! We only get them for one day. What are we gonna do?’ And then I switch on CNN and George Harrison has died, and I thought, ‘This is the worst day of my life’. I loved George.”
Revealing how he could only make out the words “dead” and “letter” in his security guard’s phone message, Myers assumed he had also received a death threat on the same day but it turned out to be something far more poignant from the ‘Here Comes The Sun’ songwriter.
The 55-year-old actor added: “It’s raining, George Harrison has died, I’m inconsolable – and someone is trying to kill me. I get into the makeup trailer and there is Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise and they’re all like, ‘It’s great Mike, don’t worry. We’ll go later than we have to…’ We do the scenes, it’s way funnier than written … and I’m still thinking, ‘Somebody wants to kill me, though.’ We wrap and there’s a knock at the door and it’s Gavin [security head] and he has a letter and I open it up and it’s the last letter George Harrison ever wrote. It says, ‘I’ve been looking all over Europe for a mini-you doll, but I haven’t found one.’ It turns out to be the best day of my life.”
After 16 years away from the franchise, Myers is working on ‘Austin Powers 4’ and “it’s looking good”.
The James Bond parody began in 1997 with ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’ in 1997 and was followed by ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’ in 1999, and then 2002’s ‘Goldmember’.

Zayn Malik has cuts ties with One Direction

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has completely cut ties with One Direction.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ singer has dashed any hopes fans may have had for a full reunion with his former bandmates and accused them of being spiteful when he left the group three years ago.
He told Vogue magazine’s December issue: “I ain’t spoke to any of them for a long time.
“There are things that happen and things that were said after I left – snide things, small things that I would never have expected. The relationships had broken apart.”
Zayn – who completed the lineup with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – suggested the band’s meteoric rise after winning ‘The X Factor’ in 2010 may have had a big role in their fractured relationship.
He explained: “That’s just the way it is. People move on, people grow apart, people grow up.
“We went from theatres to arenas to stadiums, there was never any sort of bridge between. Just boom, boom, boom.
“I guess that kind of progression affects you a little bit. People take it different ways, especially when there are five personalities.”
His comments come as Liam, 25, appeared to suggest he hdn’t spoken to Zayn, also 25, in quite some time.
During an appearance at London shopping centre Westfield’s 10th anniversary celebration in Shepherd’s Bush, he was quizzed by the evening’s host James Corden on what festive gifts he would be getting the 1D boys this year
He pondered: “What do I buy the guys from One Direction? My god, well football is easy for Niall, so something football for Niall, Louis used to skateboard. Harry could with some clothes, he could with something less shiny, something ambiguous so he could go about his business, maybe something like a Morph suit.
“What do we get Zayn? I honestly wouldn’t know these days, what would we get Zayn? What about that tattoo cream that brings your tattoos out, yeah a men’s set.”

Nikki Grahame apologises for accidentally revealing Big Brother winner

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Grahame has apologised for prematurely revealing the ‘Big Brother’ winner last night (05.11.18).
The former housemate had an awkward mishap during the finale of the last-ever series of the reality show when she tweeted her congratulations to Cameron Cole – 15 minutes before it was officially revealed on air that he had triumphed.
She initially wrote on Twitter: “Cameron you smashed it!!! F***ing massive congratulations you legend #Cameron #champion #bbuk (sic)”
She told Digital Spy: “Am I in trouble? Oh, I’m so sorry, guys!
“Oh, I just meant that Cameron, I knew he’d won it! I’ve made my predictions. I just knew it! I just knew! Absolutely certain!”
On Tuesday morning (06.11.18), Nikki – who first appeared in the house in 2006 before returning for ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ four years later – said she was “totally unaware” of her mistake at the time, and admitted she hopes the show finds a new home after Channel 5 called time on its run on the air.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I’m hoping someone else buys it … I’ve only had positive things to say about that show.
“It changed my life for the better and I’m so grateful to ‘Big Brother’.
“You hear people saying, ‘Oh I stopped watching it years ago.’ I’ve watched every single series. To have been a part of it was just a dream come true.”
She was joined on the programme by Craig Phillips – who won the first ever ‘Big Brother’ in 2000 – and he believes the show should’ve come to a close when it finished on Channel 4 in 2010.
When asked if he thinks the time has come for ‘BB’ to end, he added: “I personally do. The show has changed dramatically from the very first day I walked into the house.
“It swapped after 10 years on Channel 4. It probably should’ve ended there but they carried on regurgitating … I don’t think the producers knew how big the show was going to be.”

Rachel Riley feels ‘nervous’ watching Pasha Kovalev on Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Riley feels “nervous” watching her boyfriend Pasha Kovalev dance with Ashley Roberts on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 32-year-old TV presenter got together with the pro dancer after appearing on the Latin and ballroom show in 2013, but she makes herself “busy” when the BBC One programme is on nowadays so she doesn’t have to see him with a celeb partner.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, she said: “It’s kind of left its mark.
“It just makes me feel nervous – so I make myself busy when it’s on. I leave Pasha to it!”
The ‘Countdown’ host insisted that while she can barely watch the Russian dancer on ‘Strictly’, the pair love watching shows such as ‘The Great British Bake Off’ together.
She said: “With something like ‘Bake Off’, we’ll wait until we’re both around and then watch it.
“Often I work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Manchester for ‘Countdown’, so lately we’ve been watching ‘Bake Off’ on Wednesday evening.
“I’ll come home and it’s the first thing on. We’re both vegan so we loved Vegan Week, and they had some Russian stuff this series, too.
“Pasha knew what all the breads were, and was telling me all about marriage breads and things like that.”
While Rachel is anxious about seeing Pasha dance with other celebs on the show, fellow pro Gleb Savchenko recently insisted he would never cheat.
He previously said: “You know the only person who will never have a ‘Strictly’ curse is Pasha.
“I think no matter who you give him he will never ever, ever have any attraction or anything, not even a flirty moment because he’s such a reserved guy.”

Netflix to take on Big Brother?

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix are the frontrunners to take on ‘Big Brother’.
The show came to an end last night (05.11.18), potentially forever, after being shelved by Channel 5, but if the bookies’ odds are to be believed then the streaming service could re-home the reality TV programme.
Ladbrokes are offering odds of just 5/4 for Netflix to become the next host for the series, followed by Amazon Prime, who are 2/1 second favourites.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Last night may have been the end for Channel 5, but ‘Big Brother’ looks set to be given yet another life by Netflix.”
Die-hard ‘Big Brother’ supporters have also taken to social media in their droves to beg Netflix to take on the show.
One supporter wrote: “Netflix…..Come On Pick Up @bbuk (sic)”
Another posted: “Come on this can’t be the final season…. we need another channel or Netflix to pick it up! :)) (sic)”
One shared: “#netflix need to bring out all the series of big brother!! (sic)”
‘Big Brother’ moved to Channel 5 in 2011 after a 10-year run on Channel 4, who are rated as 9/2 by the bookie to take on the show once again.
Host Emma Willis got emotional on last night’s final as she bid farewell to the programme, and ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ presenter Rylan Clark-Neal – who triumphed on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2013 – has admitted he will be “forever grateful” to the programme.
He wrote on Twitter: “You literally shaped my career and my personal life and I’ll forever be grateful. From day 1 I was a fan, became a housemate, winner, and host and I’ll never find anything like you again. @bbuk . The life I’ve got now is all because of you. Big Brother, I’ll get back to you. X (sic)”
