OHMYGOSSIP — US President Donald Trump has praised Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West.
The 72-year-old politician has personally met with Kanye and Kim since winning the US election in 2016, and speaking at a fundraising dinner, Trump has again heaped praise on the duo.
He said: “Now we’re doing great and Kanye West liked me and that really lifted my … Kanye West has some real power!
“He’s got a good wife too, in Kim, I’ll tell ya. She really is [great].”
Kim, 37, attended a personal meeting with the President at the White House earlier this year, when she asked for clemency for inmate Alice Marie Johnson.
Trump – who ultimately granted clemency to Johnson, who had been serving life without parole for a first-time drug offence – believes Kim did a “great thing”.
He said: “She did a great thing. She did a great thing.
“The person was in jail on a very strange thing. She was there for 22 years and it was based largely on a phone call that they were listening to and she had another 24 years.”
Trump also admitted it was beautiful to see Johnson reunited with her family after so long.
He explained: “[Johnson] was about 62 or 63 and I gave her a pardon. And she came out of that jail after all of those years and the way she hugged and kissed her family and the way they loved her so much.
“She had some grandchildren, some sons, some grandchildren that were so beautiful, they were grabbing her and it was just a beautiful thing to see, and she was in there for 22 years and that was through Kim Kardashian, so I think it was terrific.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom and Giovanna Fletcher have become parents for the third time.
The McFly singer and his 33-year-old wife – who already have sons Buzz, four, and two-year-old Buddy together – welcomed a third boy, who they have named Max Mario, into the world on Friday (24.08.18) and are thrilled with the new addition to their household.
Tom shared a photo of the baby on his Instagram account on Saturday (25.08.18) and wrote: “Our gorgeous son, Max Mario Fletcher was born yesterday afternoon.
“We are all totally in love with him and can’t wait to take him home to meet his brothers. We have three boys!”
The 33-year-old musician later praised his wife for her strength during her drug-free labour.
He posted: “I would like to take this moment to say how in absolute awe I am of @mrsgifletcher . I’ve witnessed her go through labour and give birth three times now and all three have been different but equally special experiences.
“She once again used hypnobirthing and had no drugs or pain relief, just breathing and relaxation techniques. It is truly incredible to watch! She is the most focussed, strong, determined woman I’ve ever met and our boys are the luckiest kids on the planet to be able to call her Mum.”
He went on to praise “all the mums out there” and admitted he hadn’t played much of a part in bringing his third child – who weighed in at 7lbs – into the world.
He continued: “To all the mums out there, no matter which way you brought your child into the world, whether you had no pain relief or all the drugs in the world, pool birth or c-section, what you can do with your body is an absolute miracle! You’re awesome!
“So, well done honey and thank you for squeezing another human out of your body while I watched and ate Jelly Babies.(sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Spencer Matthews has been having private cooking lessons to boost his chances of winning ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has been having one-on-one classes with TV chef Jean-Christophe Novelli – who he was introduced to by his hotelier father David – because he’s determined to stay ahead of the competition and wants to do as well as possible on the culinary contest.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Spencer was making no secret that he wanted to do well – so much so that he used his connections to get ahead.
“He was boasting to the others that he’d got some expert help. He knew that it was a bit naughty.
“David Matthews and Jean-Christophe met a while ago and Spencer first visited the chef at a food festival. He was determined to stay in the show for as long as possible.”
A source close to the Michelin-starred chef confirmed he had helped Spencer, but the 29-year-old reality star claimed he had “never heard” of Jean-Christophe.
But Spencer isn’t the only contestant taking part this week who’s said to have had help in preparing for the show.
Former ‘EastEnders’ actor John Partridge reportedly spent a week with a senior chef, who talked him through recipes and helping him manage the show’s time limits, while ‘One Show’ presenter Jean Johansson has received private cooking tutorials.
However, programme bosses don’t seem to be too upset by the revelation, insisting they expect the famous contestants to have done their “research” before taking part.
A spokesperson for the show said: “As with any role or job, we would expect the celebrities to do some research before appearing on the show.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway is being lined up for the new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 51-year-old presenter has reportedly been in negotiations with producers about entering the camp in November in a deal with £150,000, as show bosses think she’d be a hit with both viewers and her fellow celebrities.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Kate has been approached by show producers because they know she would be TV gold.
“She has been a massive ratings hit on ‘Good Morning Britain’, thanks in part to her chemistry with co-hosts Piers Morgan and Ben Shepherd, and there’s no doubt she’ll transfer that appeal to Australia with her celebrity campmates.”
Kate is keen to take on the “ultimate life test” by entering the camp and is confident about her body so would be happy to strip down to her bikini.
She added: “Kate has always been relatable and game for a challenge but since entering her fifties she’s embracing all aspects of life and sees the Aussie jungle as the ultimate life test.
“She’s in great shape at the minute too so wouldn’t have any qualms about stripping off in a bikini and would be flying the flag for the more mature lady.”
‘Inbetweeners’ actress Emily Atack and ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Jamie Laing are also believed to have signed up for the new series.
Ant McPartlin won’t be hosting this year’s competition to focus on his recovery, and it has been claimed that Holly Willoughby will be joining regular presenter Declan Donnelly instead.
A spokesperson for Kate declined to comment, while ITV also played down the report.
The network spokesperson said: “Any names suggested are just speculation at this stage.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B is to check into rehab after reaching “crisis point”.
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge – who has children Phoenix, 19, Angel, 11, and six-year-old Madison from previous relationships – is planning to enter a British facility in the next few weeks to get help after being diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and admitted she had been drinking heavily following a turbulent period in her life, including the death of her father Martin Brown and her split and subsequent messy divorce battle from Stephen Belafonte, who she accused of being abusive.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me.I’ve been working with a writer on my book, ‘Brutally Honest’, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life from the death of my dad to my relationship with men.
“I’ve also been through more than a year of court battles which have left me financially battered and at the mercy of the legal system, which is completely weighted against emotionally abused women because it’s very hard to prove how someone took away all your self-respect and self-worth.
“I am being very honest in my book about drinking to numb my pain but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on.
“Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that…
“I am fully aware I am at a crisis point. No-one knows myself better than I do. But I am dealing with it.
“I love my three girls more than life itself.I have also made the decision to go into a proper therapy programme in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me.”
And the 43-year-old star hopes being candid about her own struggles will help other people.
She added: “I am still struggling. But if I can shine a light on the issue of pain, PTSD and the things men and women do to mask it, I will do.
“I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.I’m not perfect, and I have never pretended to be. But I am working on being a better version of myself for my kids, for my family and for all the people who have supported me in my life.”
The Spice Girls star has also made progress after beginning a new therapy called eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).
She said: “I have recently been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and on August 9, after trying many different therapies I started a course of therapy called EMDR, which in a nutshell works on the memory to deal with some of the very painful and traumatic situations I have been through.I don’t want to jinx it, but so far it’s really helping me.”
Mel’s admission came after her friend Rusty claimed her drinking and “sexual appetite” had spiralled out of control.
Rusty – who met Mel in 2003 but grew distant from her during her marriage to Stephen, only to reconcile their friendship when the couple split last year – said: “Mel has got crazier over the years and I’ve had enough. I cannot deal with it any more.
“I know people will say it’s none of my business – but she won’t listen to anyone. I hope this is a wake-up call for her.
“She needs help, but lives in her own little world.
“She is drinking every day that she isn’t working. Her sexual appetite is out of control.
“You can’t take any straight guy round to her house.
“I also worry about her spending. She gets paid a lot of money but just wastes it. She thinks she’s like the Kardashians!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Edgar Wright and Jean-Marc Vallee are among the front-runners to replace Danny Boyle on ‘Bond 25’, which could lose its release date slot if a new director is not found in 60 days.
The ‘Baby Driver’ helmer is said to be a “real possibility” to take over from the ‘Trainspotting’ filmmaker – who dropped out of directing the upcoming James Bond film earlier this week due to “creative differences” – and the movie’s bosses are said to have approached ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ helmer Vallee.
But sources have told Deadline that Vallee taking over from Boyle is unlikely due to his scheduling commitments, while Hell or High Water’s David Mackenzie and ’71’ director Yann Demange are also said to be in the mix.
Speculation is rife that the upcoming movie – which is currently known only as ‘Bond 25’ until a title is announced – could lose its November 8, 2019 release date, if a helmer isn’t found soon.
Sources told the publication that if a filmmaker does take over from Boyle in the next 60 days then Daniel Craig’s final outing as suave spy 007 is likely to still take place on the slated date.
What’s more, there has also been talk of the new director returning to the script written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, rather than use the current story, which John Hodge wrote based on an idea by the film’s former director Boyle.
Bond bosses confirmed on Tuesday (21.08.18) that Boyle had exited the film.
A tweet on the official 007 Twitter account read: “Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.”
Boyle had been confirmed to take on the role in May, and EON Productions executives Wilson and Broccoli stated at the time they were “delighted” to have got their man.
They said in a statement: “We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th instalment of the franchise.
“We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and thrilled that Universal will be our international distributor.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Disclosure have confirmed they are making a new album.
The electronic music duo – made up of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence – have dropped four new songs this week, and have now revealed a follow up to 2015’s ‘Caracal’ is on the way after they came up with “80 to 100 different ideas” over the past year while “writing a lot”.
Disclosure said: “We seem to be back right now. It’s definitely been a while.
“100 per cent an album is being made – that’s for sure. Whether or not these songs make it [on the album] is yet to be seen.
“We’ve been writing a lot. We reckon we’ve put together about 80 to 100 different ideas over the past year, but we have no idea which of them, if any, will actually be on the album.
“It’s a serious track listing job to come now.
“Now we’re going to start moving onto the next step and start working with some vocalists.”
Disclosure dropped disco track ‘Funky Sensation’ on Thursday night (23.08.18) – their fourth new song of the week following ‘Moonlight’, ‘Where Angels Fear to Tread’, and ‘Love Can Be So Hard’ – and the duo have enjoyed sampling with new genres.
They said: “They’re all very sample-based. It’s us delving into genres we haven’t been before, like acapella jazz, or like disco, and just sort of having fun.
“Chopping them up and seeing what comes out. It’s nice to be part of that world and giving it a go.”
The pair have also confirmed they will release another track on Friday (24.08.18), taking to their Twitter account to reveal their quintet of new tunes will be completed at midnight.
They tweeted: “Worked hard on these five… Hope you guys are enjoying! Last track ‘Where You Come From’ midnight tonight (sic)”
While the duo haven’t dropped an album since 2015, Howard has spent his time off in the countryside “planting trees every day”.
Speaking in a joint interview with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, Howard added: “We were touring since I was 15, for like eight years, so I just wanted to do the exact opposite of that was.
“So, I decided what that was moving to the countryside and planting trees every day.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams “forced” Ariana Grande to write about the Manchester terror attack.
The 25-year-old singer was left devastated last May when a suicide bomber unleashed an explosion shortly after her concert at the Manchester Arena – killing 23 people, including children, and injuring 139 – but, although her anxiety was through the roof afterwards, the ‘Happy’ hitmaker encouraged her to pen ‘Get Well Soon’ as a tribute to the victims.
Speaking to Paper magazine, she said: “Overall, [Pharrell] kind of forced it out of me because I was in a really bad place mentally. I’ve always had anxiety, I’ve had anxiety for years. But when I got home from tour it reached a very different, intense peak.
“[Pharrell] was like, ‘You have to write about it. You need to make this into music and get this sh*t out, and I promise it will heal you.’ And it definitely helped.”
Ariana’s new album ‘Sweetener’ also features a love song she penned for her fiance Pete Davidson, whom she got engaged to in June after a few weeks of dating, and she has admitted she wrote the track just a week after they started getting to know one another.
She said recently: “‘Pete Davidson’ is obviously inspired by my fiancé, I wrote this song like a week after we started hanging out. Sometimes when you feel a certain way about something and you can’t express it with words as well as you can with music, then I sent it to him. I want this song to live forever as music lives forever.”
The LP also contains a collaboration with her “big sister” Nicki Minaj.
She explained: “So ‘The Light is Coming’ features Nicki Minaj who is my big sister and one of my best friends that I’ve met through this industry. I love the message behind it, it’s about people who can be so close minded or to blind-sided by their own opinion to find the truth.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby is in secret talks to replace Ant McPartlin on this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The ‘This Morning’ co-host is the “front-runner” to team up with Declan Donnelly to present the show, and her discussions with ITV bosses about the possibility of fronting the Australian-based reality series are said to be at an “advanced stage”.
A source said: “Holly is far and away the front-runner and talks are at an advanced stage.
“Not only is she loved by ITV bosses and the nation, but she is also one of Ant’s closest friends.”
One potential stumbling block is said to be whether ITV could find cover for Holly on ‘This Morning’ – from which she and fellow presenter Phillip Schofield are currently on their usual six-week summer holiday – but she is reportedly keen to step in for her pal Ant.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Flying the flag for him in his absence means the world to her.”
This comes after Kevin Lygo, head of studios at ITV, confirmed yesterday (23.08.18) that Dec will not host the show alone following Ant’s decision to take the rest of the year off from TV commitments, which came after he spent time in rehab, and was fined £86,000 for drink-driving earlier this year.
Kevin said: “We’ll find someone to stand by his side.”
And he joked that ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter Piers Morgan might get the nod to team up with Dec.
He quipped: “It’s going to be Piers Morgan. No, I don’t know, it could be Jeremy Corbyn. I can’t say.”
Kevin revealed Ant is “doing really well” on the road to recovery.
He said: “The good news is that he’s doing really well, he’s doing everything he should be doing to get better.
“We collectively thought, let’s give it a good amount of time off, this is a slow procedure, that’s what we’ve decided to do.”
Scarlett Moffatt is among the stars talked about as a potential replacement for Ant on the upcoming ‘I’m A Celeb’ series, but she is expected to remain on the spin-off show, ‘I’m a Celebrity… Extra Camp’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland has ditched Cara De La Hoyde as her bridesmaid.
The ‘Love Island’ star – who has been friends with the brunette beauty since they met in the villa in 2016 – asked the show’s former winner to accompany her down the aisle when she ties the knot with Alex Bowen next month, but she’s since decided to retract her request because it was “too much pressure” on both of them.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “Cara’s got baby Freddie now and when I asked her she was a lot less busy and I thought she could handle the pressure. But we spoke about it and she’s so busy with Freddie and she’s got so much on her plate that I felt like it was pressuring her.
“I said, ‘I don’t need you to be my bridesmaid, you’re coming to the wedding regardless and if it’s easier on both of us with all the commitment, how do you feel about just coming to the wedding as a guest?’ And she was really happy about it and said it was nice to hear that I thought about it like that.”
Despite the shocking dump, the 24-year-old reality TV star is adamant that she and Cara – who has eight-month-old son Freddie with her fiance Nathan Massey – are still friends are there hasn’t been any falling out between them.
She explained: “We both don’t need that label. You don’t have to be a bridesmaid to know that we are good friends. We’re very honest with each other.”
Cara, 28, also denied they had fallen out on Instagram last week.
She wrote: “Sorry to disappoint some people we are still besties @oliviadbuck.”
However, speculation that they had locked horns came after Cara failed to attend Olivia’s first hen do in Mykonos earlier this year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Lumley believes Sir Ian McKellen inspired stars to want to appear in soaps after he joined ‘Coronation Street’.
The former ‘Corrie’ actress – who played Ken Barlow’s (Bill Roache) girlfriend Elaine Perkins for eight episodes in 1973 – thinks the ‘Lord of the Rings’ star changed actors’ opinions of soaps after he appeared on the cobbles in May 2005 as Lionel Hipkiss, who used the alias Mel Hutchwright, for three weeks.
She said: “Once Ian McKellen went into ‘Coronation Street’ there was no stopping everybody. It was if they suddenly went, ‘I am Batman.’ ‘I want to be in ‘Coronation Street’, ‘EastEnders’.’
“But ‘Corrie’ was the one that caught them.
“But in the old days, all I wanted was a job that went on for more than one episode of ‘On the Buses’, which I was paid £60 for.”
Joanna looks back on her time in Weatherfield with fond memories, and she was particularly amazed when she was in the green room one day when an Australian tour visited the set, and she couldn’t believe how emotional they became from visiting the “iconic” location.
Speaking at The Edinburgh International Television Festival in Scotland, she added: “I remember coming up to Manchester and going to the green room of ‘Coronation Street’, and being there when an Australian tour had come to the end of its huge journey around the world.
“They’d been to the pyramids, they’d been down the Rift Valley, they’d been to the Grand Canyon, they’d been up the Empire State Building.
“The highlight of their tour was to come to ‘Coronation Street’. Many of them were crying. Just crying to find themselves in that iconic place.
“To see Ena Sharples, Vi Carson walking past, and she’d go, ‘Hello,’ and they’d go, ‘Oh my God!’ As if they’d seen the Virgin Mary. It was pretty thrilling stuff. It was pretty thrilling.
“It was a big bump when I came back from that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes will “always be broody.”
The former Saturdays singer already has daughters Alaia-Mai, five, and Valentina, 18, with her husband Marvin Humes but has admitted, although she loves being around babies, she doesn’t think she’ll have anymore kids.
Speaking to ITV, she said: “I have still got a young one, she’s only one and a half. A baby will always make me broody but it’s whether it makes me broody enough!
“We can man mark quite well at the moment, a child per parent. You get used to two, at first you don’t think you can go up from one to two children. But I had quite a gap – four years – between my two. So it was quite nice as I had a little helper in Alaia. I couldn’t have had another one any sooner, I was still getting my head round it and I still had baby brain! But, I guess never say never.”
The 29-year-old beauty tied the knot with the former JLS singer in 2012 at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and would love to renew their vows in 2022.
She explained: “Marvin and I always said that we could do that at 10 years – we’ll definitely do it! He can ask me again. We have been married six and a bit years now. I think it’s a lovely idea. Maybe we would go away or something. I love a big holiday. Somewhere close enough so that everyone would come.”
Meanwhile, Marvin, 33, recently said he’d love to have a son join his brood.
He said last year: “We kind of said at two that that would be it but … Do you know what, I think I’ll be destined to always have girls, I don’t know what it is but we’ll see. Who knows? Roch is only 28 so we’ve got a bit of time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum’s best friend has died.
The 38-year-old actor shared a tribute to his “first best friend” Corey Vaughn, who passed away earlier this week, and he urged people to keep in touch with their loved ones as “you never know what’s next”.
Channing shared a picture of them both as children on Twitter and wrote: “My very first best friend Corey Vaughn left the world for the next this Tuesday the 21st. Man, there’s so much to say. I’ll never forget his crazy ass and how he stuck up for and protected me when I first moved to Mississippi. He’d a fought anybody.”
“All the laughs and trouble we got in. I’ll never be able to see that smile of his again in this life. It just made me need to remind everybody don’t put off anything. Seeing a friend, or even calling or texting. You never know what’s next.
“Corey would have wanted us to laugh and raise hell in his wake and have as much joy as anyone can make. He sure did. I’ll forever miss ya man. Love ya my brother (sic).”
Channing posted the picture and his tribute letter with the additional words: “Rip Corey I’ll never forget your crazy ass. I love you with all my heart. All my prayers to your beautiful family (sic).”
Channing and his family moved to Pascagoula, Mississippi, where he met Corey, when he was just six years old.
The star has previously spoken about his peripatetic childhood, explaining: “All my family’s in Wetumpka, Alabama, on my mom’s side. Some people in Birmingham. We moved from Cullman pretty early.
“We moved to Mississippi for a little while, Pascagoula, Gautier, and then Florida. All around the South. Anywhere where they say y’all. That’s where I call home.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner was terrified when she thought someone was trying to poison her.
In an upcoming episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, the 62-year-old momager can be seen going to extreme lengths to find out whether or not the drinking water system at her famous Los Angeles abode has been tampered with after being convinced someone is out to get her.
A worried Kris tells her 34-year-old daughter Khloe Kardashian: “I don’t know if there’s something wrong with my drinking water.”
The businesswoman then decides to use a home testing kit to check out her water, leading Kim Kardashian West to label her mom “beyond extra”.
The 37-year-old star tells Kris: “I know you’re extra a lot of the time, but this is above and beyond extra.”
Though the results come back normal, Kris – who is also mother to Kourtney Kardashian, 39, Rob Kardashian, 31, Kendall Jenner, 22, and Kylie Jenner, 21- isn’t done with her investigation and resorts to the “drawing board” to find out why she became poorly.
Revealing the results, she says: “They’re slightly different in coloration, but within drinking limits. So, we can rule out the water and back to the drawing board.
“Well, if somebody’s poisoning me, I’m gonna get to the bottom of it.”
Meanwhile, Kris recently fuelled speculation she’s engaged to Corey Gamble.
The matriarch sparked reports she and her partner have taken their relationship to the next level after being pictured numerous times sporting a huge diamond on her ring finger, but she refused to answer any questions on the subject.
Instead, during a game of ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’ while appearing as a guest on James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’ earlier this month, Kris opted to eat dead crickets rather than reveal whether or not she was engaged.
She said: “No, I am not going to answer,.”
As she struggled to eat the insects, James laughed and said the ring answered the question on its own – but she then slipped up with her response.
She retorted: “This is not the ring.”
The host replied: “But there is a ring!”

The 34-year-old reality star has fired back at online comments accusing her of “embedding materialism” into her four-month-old baby girl, True Thompson, after she was gifted a mini Bentley vehicle by Kimora Lee Simmons.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star posted a photo on Instagram of her and NBA player Tristan Thompson’s daughter, smiling next to a giant teddy bear in her miniature car.
She wrote: “I’m not sure what’s cuter, the cute teddy bear driving the Bentley truck or True’s cheeks and smile. Thank you Auntie Kimora and family for the precious gift!”
While the ‘Revenge Body’ star was flooded with positive comments from fans gushing over her daughter, one user accused the TV personality of “embedding materialism into [True’s] brain”.
Khloe responded to the negative comment, writing: “She’s a baby who received a beautiful sweet gift and I was SOOO excited to put her in it and take a picture! I’m enjoying every single moment I can with my sweet angel! The angel GOD gave me!” (sic)
Fans were also quick to defend Khloe, and commented with their support.
One user said: “don’t listen to them. Your an amazing mum.” (sic)
Another stated: “jealousy makes people ugly, she’s adorable! cuteness overload!” (sic)
Model Kimora,43, also gifted Khloe’s sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner with Bentleys for their daughters, seven-month-old Chicago and six-month-old Stormi.
Khloé shared a photo of all three cars side-by-side, with giant teddy bears in the seats.
She wrote: “Ahh I’m dying over this!!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring was nicknamed “Tomina Cruise” while filming a terrifying stunt on ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 39-year-old star’s character Cindy Cunningham will dice with death in upcoming scenes when she is left dangling from a crane while in a car – and the actress’ colleagues were so impressed with her action woman antics, they compared her to ‘Mission Impossible’ star Tom Cruise.
She said: “Filming the stunt was the best week of filming I have had in a long time.
“I felt like Tom Cruise hanging from that car. I was nicknamed Tomina Cruise throughout the shoot, it was so exhilarating and so much fun.”
While Tom may have to watch out for Steph nicking his roles in the near future, Anna Passey could also be on high alert as Steph admitted she would love to play Sienna Blake if she could portray another ‘Hollyoaks’ character.
She said: “If I could play another character it would probably be Sienna, played by Anna Passey, as she is a fantastic actress and gets a lot of meaty storylines. Anna has portrayed her really well and I would love to have more scenes with her.
“I’m not sure Cindy and Sienna would get on, although it is ‘Hollyoaks’, so anything could happen!”
But Steph could soon be looking for other work as she hinted Cindy may not survive the harrowing crane ordeal at the hands of “mentally unstable” Milo Entwistle (Nathan Morris) next week.
She added: “It’s a big week for Cindy, as we know Milo is holding her hostage in a storage unit, and she is shackled by the ankle in fear for her life. She just found out that Milo is responsible for killing her parents, and he’s now threatening to dispose of her in one last final accident, which comes to a head at the end of the week!
“She is in fear of Milo. He is mentally unstable and she really believes he is going to kill her! I don’t think she will ever forgive him for this after what he has put her through, that’s even if she survives.”
