Kylie Minogue to join Dermot O’Leary for Reel Stories

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue is set to journey through her career with Dermot O’Leary for a new programme from the BBC.
Ahead of her headlining set at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park, the Australian pop star will take a look back through her incredible career on ‘Reel Stories: Kylie Minogue’.
The programme will explore her early beginnings on Australian TV, through her experimental phase in the mid-90s and to the dizzying heights of global mega-hit ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’.
The programme will be available to watch from 7am on Friday (31.08.18) on BBC iPlayer.
The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ star turned 50 in May and despite an illustrious career – which has seen her sell as many as 85 million records – Kylie believes she still has a lot to learn.
Kylie also admitted her recent birthday was influential while writing her latest record ‘Golden’.
She said: “Turning 50 definitely played a part because it was looming.
“I had a number of my friends who were either there or approaching 50 and this time in life, it feels like you get rid of some unnecessary stuff.
“You let go of some things, you decide to do the things you’ve been talking about and haven’t done. It’s a time of assessing, I guess.
“I really felt like I just wanted to be in the moment and grasp the here and now. A lot of the new album talks about stages in my life, where I was in that moment and perhaps where I might be going.”

Dermot O’Leary says Ayda WIlliams will be X Factor’s dark horse

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot O’Leary thinks Ayda Williams is the dark horse of this year’s ‘X Factor’ judging panel.
The new series of the ITV show marks the first time a married couple has starred on the panel and Dermot thinks it will be the 39-year-old actress – who is married to Robbie Williams – who will wow the British public.
Dermot told Heat magazine: “Ayda knows she’s the underdog on the panel, and in a many ways that is a very exciting and thrilling prospect for her.
“It ignites a fire in your belly that really spurs you on, doesn’t it? The best motivational tool one can have is people saying ‘She can’t do the job’.”
Despite this, Dermot is also backing Robbie to be a success, saying that his years of watching the show ought to stand him in good stead.
He explained: “Robbie is extraordinary. He’s a duck to water- it’s like he’s been doing the job for years.
“Actually, when you speak to him he says, ‘I have been saying these things to the television for the last ten years.'”
Louis Tomlinson also features on this year’s judging panel and as a former contestant on the show, Dermot thinks he will have an insight into what the aspiring stars are going through.
He said: “With Louis, he’s got this great dynamic with Simon [Cowell], because there is a paternalistic relationship there – although quite often Louis feels like the adult in the relationship. But also, you have someone who’s been there done that.
“Louis knows exactly what the contestants are going through. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Simon so relaxed on a panel.”

Christina Aguilera: I’m trying to rediscover myself

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Aguilera has tried to rediscover herself through her new album.
The 37-year-old pop star has claimed that her latest record ‘Liberation’ – which was released in June – and her upcoming tour marks a conscious effort to move in a new and original direction with her music.
Christina – who has not performed a concert tour in over a decade – told Cosmopolitan magazine: “With this record, I’m stripping back a lot and just trying to find myself again – just the true love and the art in the process, and not just going for some formulaic sort of force-fed direction that we can get caught up in.
“So I want to flip it on its ear and I want to do something completely unexpected from a pop-formatted show – a fresh perspective that I’ve never done this of a tour before – super creative, super interesting.”
Meanwhile, Christina – who has kids Summer, four, and Max, 10 – recently admitted she has been hesitant about getting back on the road because of her children.
The pop star has agonised over the issue during the last 10 ten years, but Christina feels the time has finally come when she can hit the road once again.
The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ hitmaker said: “The last time I was on tour, I was pregnant with my son onstage, so I was about to give birth. At a certain point I had to stop touring for safety reasons. You get to a certain point [where] you have to stop.
“Ever since then I was like, ‘How do people do this with kids and touring?’ But, you know, it’s time for mama to get back to what I was born to do.”

Nicki Minaj says Pete Davidson is the ‘most perfect man on the planet’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj thinks Pete Davidson is the “most perfect man on the planet”.
The 35-year-old rap star has gushed over the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star in a comment sent to Ariana Grande – who is engaged to Pete – over Instagram, jokingly asking her showbiz pal whether he has a brother.
In the comments section on the photo-sharing website, Nicki asked Ariana: “Omg @ the most perfect man on the planet. Wtf does he have a brother b**h??! (sic)”
Ariana subsequently told Nicki – with whom she’s frequently collaborated – that although Pete doesn’t have a brother, she considers herself to be the luckiest woman in the world.
She wrote: “No, but I’m the luckiest b***h in the galexy ill tell u dat (sic)”
Earlier this month, Ariana revealed she felt compelled to write a love song for her fiance just a week after they began dating.
The ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker got engaged to the comedian in June after just a few weeks of dating and she sings about her feelings for Pete on a track that appears on her latest album ‘Sweetener’.
Ariana revealed: “‘Pete Davidson’ is obviously inspired by my fiance, I wrote this song like a week after we started hanging out.
“Sometimes you feel a certain way about something and you can’t express it with words as well as you can with music, then I sent it to him. I want this song to live forever as music lives forever.”
Ariana also collaborated with Nicki on the track ‘The Light is Coming’ and she’s heaped praise on her pal, saying Nicki is like a “big sister”.
She said: “So ‘The Light is Coming’ features Nicki Minaj who is my big sister and one of my best friends that I’ve met through this industry. I love the message behind it, it’s about people who can be so close-minded or to blind-sided by their own opinion to find the truth.”

Linda Nolan self harmed after her husband died

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Nolan started self harming after her husband died.
The 59-year-old singer has revealed that following the passing of her husband Brian Hudson – who died of skin cancer – in 2007, she began to self harm without realising what she was doing, and says she “still does it sometimes” as a subconscious act.
She said: “I self harm. I bite my hand or I rub my skin until it bleeds.
“I started once my husband died in 2007. The pain there took away the pain in [my heart].
“And it made me feel better. I still do it sometimes, but I don’t even know I’m doing it.”
The former member of ‘The Nolans’ admitted that the judgement from other people is one of the hardest things to cope with when it comes to self harm, as she felt people thought she was attention seeking.
She added: “People will say you’re doing it for attention or whatever. It’s pain, but its a different kind of pain. Heartache is pain you don’t think you can survive.”
Linda went on to reveal that while she still grieves for Brian, she is finally at peace with his death after attending therapy.
Speaking during an appearance on ITV talk show ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (29.08.18), the singer said: “It’s my wedding anniversary today, we would have been married 37 years, but there was time I wouldn’t have been able to say that without getting upset.”
Linda is currently battling the same terminal disease her husband of 26 years died of, and was diagnosed in March 2017, however she previously said her cancer will not stop her from living her life to the full, and beginning to date again.
She said: “I had the love of my life with Brian and most people don’t get that. But now I am open to offers”.

Ben Affleck ‘wanted to go’ to rehab

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck “wanted to go” to rehab before his estranged wife Jennifer Garner encouraged him to go.
The 46-year-old actor admitted himself into a rehabilitation facility last week following an intervention from Jennifer – with whom he has children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six – but it has now been claimed he was already willing to accept help in a treatment centre before Jennifer spoke to him.
A source told People magazine: “Ben had been drinking alone for days. He was in bad shape. He had barely been eating and had not showered. It didn’t take much convincing. He wanted to go, and he cooperated.
“He knew he needed help and was vocal about it.”
The news comes after it was reported the ‘Justice League’ actor is doing really well since he was admitted to rehab on August 22, and is said to be “serious” about cleaning up his act.
A source said recently: “Ben is still in rehab and has not left. He’s doing OK. He seems serious about living in for at least 30 days. The divorce is wrapped up but has not been signed off on. They are waiting for Ben to get out to do that. They both want to move on and end the financial negotiations and the custody discussions.”
Meanwhile, rehab is a “major step in the right direction” for the actor, who previously spent time in a facility for alcohol addiction in 2001 and 2017.
A different insider said: “One of the key elements with taking control of your addiction is knowing when to seek help, which he did, and it is a major step in the right direction. One crucial aspect of Ben’s recovery is for him to be able to seek help when he feels as though he is not in control – when his ongoing treatment and meetings with sober coaches aren’t quite enough. The best case scenario is for him to seek help, which he has done willingly, and for that, we are all very grateful and hopeful.
“Addiction is not something that goes away. Every day is a battle for recovering addicts, they are fighting for their sobriety and to lead healthy, balanced lives every day. Ben has been working incredibly hard for the last year to follow a streamlined program designed for him and his journey. He has been attending countless meetings, has continued to work with sober coaches and does his best to follow through with the things that will help him maintain his health.”

Jermaine Pennant demands Chloe Ayling lies about their flirting

OHMYGOSSIP — Jermaine Pennant has demanded Chloe Ayling say their flirting was “just banter”.
The former Liverpool soccer player wrote love notes to the glamour model and shared a bed with Chloe during their time in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – but he also told Chloe that he was in a fledgling relationship with a woman outside the house, omitting the fact he’s been married to Alice Goodwin since 2014.
Now, Channel 5 has said it will air the scene in which the 35-year-old sportsman dragged the recently evicted 21-year-old model into a toilet and told her that she needed to keep what had happened between them quiet.
In a clip, Jermaine says: “Yeah, I know I’ve got a missus on the outside, but like – come here, is your mic turned off?
“When we get out, they’re going to ask all sorts of questions and you’re just going to have to say it was just banter.”
Chloe replied: “Yeah, but, the thing is they have already seen it’s not just banter, so I can’t. I can’t say it’s banter when it’s not.”
Jermaine said: “They haven’t seen anything.”
Chloe retorted: “You said in the confession room ‘I like you’, you said in the confession room … see you might see it as banter but people on the outside world won’t.”
In another clip aired during tonight’s episode, Jermaine is seen slating Chloe to reality star Dan Osborne, accusing her of being a game player.
He said: “All this is because she’s up for eviction … she starts chirping up, it’s all a bit of banter and all of a sudden … it’s no coincidence at all, coming out on the day you’re up for eviction.”

OneRepublic release Connection music video

OHMYGOSSIP — OneRepublic have revealed their new music video for ‘Connection’.
The Grammy-nominated rockers – made up of Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Brent Kutzle and Eddie Fisher – unveiled the promo clip to support their latest single, which was made available to stream and download online earlier this summer.
Directed by Joel Pront and choreographed by Matthew Peacock, the video was shot at The Oculus, which is New York City’s newest addition to the 9/11 memorial and gave the release a profound feeling.
Focused on the differences between the digital world and reality, the clip starts in black and white before later bursting into full colour as they perform in the middle of the building.
In the chorus of the anthemic track – which also features in Jeep’s annual Summer of Jeep campaign – Tedder sings: “Can I get a connection? Can I get, can I get a connection?”
The band revealed the video to their fans on social media this week, and thanked the fans who came to be part of the shoot as extras for the live performance.
In a post on Twitter, they wrote: “Excited to share the official video for Connection. Was awesome to film this in the Oculus Building, huge thank you to all the fans who got involved. Enjoy!”
‘Connection’ was released earlier this year, making it the band’s second single of 2018 following on from their ‘Start Again’ collaboration with ‘Logic’.
Although the group are yet to release a follow-up to 2016’s ‘On My Way’, they kept busy in 2017 with the release of non-album singles like ‘No Vacancy’ and ‘Rich Love’.

Janelle Monee’s deeply personal album

OHMYGOSSIP — Janelle Monáe wrote her latest album from a “deeply personal space”.
The 32-year-old singer’s third studio album, ‘Dirty Computer’, is one of the most critically-acclaimed of 2018 and the ‘Make Me Feel’ hitmaker wanted her record to be able to connect people from different communities.
In an interview with Billboard, she said: “I wrote it from a deeply personal space, but I also kept in mind the importance of community for people like myself who identify in many of these marginalized groups.
“From the LGBTQI community, to black women, to minorities, my Latina and Latino brothers and sisters — my heart is deeply connected to immigrants and what they’re going through in this country.
“There’s an interconnectedness that I wanted to be at the center of this project: I’m a black woman, but I still understand your pain and how you feel as someone who has felt pushed to the margins of society because of where they come from.”
The ‘I Like That’ star believes that her roots are a key part of her identity as a performer, and it is important for her to remember where she came from.
She said: “Regardless of me being an artist and being able to entertain and go around the world, when I come home at night and take off my makeup and my performance uniform, I still am a young, black, queer woman from America who grew up with working class parents.
“At the core, that is my identity. So it was just important to speak from that perspective and, in the process, let people know that it was important for Dirty Computers to feel like we have a community.
“I wish we didn’t have to do these sorts of things, but it’s real — this is where we are in history.”

Neil Young marries Daryl Hannah?

OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Young has reportedly tied the knot with Daryl Hannah.
The 72-year-old singer songwriter is believed to have gotten married to actress and activist Daryl during a small ceremony in California over the weekend.
Guitarist Mark Miller appeared to confirm the news when he took to Facebook to congratulate the couple, writing: “Congratulations to Daryl Hannah and Neil Young on their wedding today. May they have a long and happy relationship.”
The musician later admitted he hadn’t attended the ceremony – which is believed to have taken place on Saturday (25.08.18) in Atascadero – in a second post which read: “I only knew about it because one of my friends attended the ceremony in Atascadero and announced it on his page.”
Daryl, 57, and Neil’s marriage was also seemingly confirmed on the Buffalo Springfield star’s unofficial news blog, where fans discussed the rumours, and the administrator claimed “several attendees” had confirmed the news.
They wrote: “Congrats N & D. No word on first dance song, but it probably wasn’t the Bluenotes ‘Married Man’.
“Several attendees at [the] reception yesterday in central CA area have confirmed. Described as a ‘shindig’. (sic)”
Neither Neil nor the ‘Blade Runner’ star have confirmed the news themselves, however Daryl did post a cryptic Instagram snap just one day after their supposed nuptials.
Posting a picture of a barn owl looking down at her from what appears to be the roof of an old barn, the ‘Splash’ star wrote: “someone’s watching over us…. love & only love (sic)”
The post was met with hundreds of comments from fans expressing their well wishes to the pair.
Neil and Daryl began dating in 2014 when Neil filed for divorce from Pegi Young, his wife of 36 years, and the pair have previously stated they “don’t give a s**t” about what people think of their romance.
The ‘Heart of Gold’ singer said: “Love is like a fart – if you have to force it, it’s probably s**t. That sounds about right. She says I’m unruly, and I think she’s too tough, but aside from that, we’re great.
“We’re pretty real. As artists, we support each other and understand, because we both have an element of fame. We understand what that means.”

Ed Sheeran wants to start a family

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran wants to have a family with Cherry Seaborn – after hinting they have tied the knot in secret.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker seemingly claimed he has already married his childhood sweetheart – whom he got engaged to in 2017 – and now he’s suggested children could be in their future as he laid out his ambitions.
He told the BBC: “I’d like to make one movie. Just one, and continue making albums and continue touring and hopefully have a family.”
The 27-year-old singer’s comments about his personal life come after he sparked speculation about his relationship with fiancée Cherry, who he was expected to marry this year.
Ed hinted he may have already tied the knot after admitting he “never” does anything “too public anyway”.
When asked by Access about when his nuptials are, Ed merely shrugged and pointed to what appeared to be a wedding band on his ring finger, and then when quizzed on how he “managed to sneak that one”, he replied: “Well, I never really do anything too public anyway.”
The ‘Perfect’ singer also remained coy about whether or not his wedding has already happened by shrugging once again when asked in another interview if he had married, and admitted small nuptials have “a good vibe”.
He said: “I don’t like large groups of people at the best of times so … I never wanted a wedding that was lots of people.”
This isn’t the first time Ed has got people talking about the possibly of a secret ceremony.
In February, he was spotted wearing a potential wedding ring on his hand, but later confirmed it was his engagement ring, and admitted the presence of the band will mean “nobody will know” when they have got hitched.
He said at the time: “We didn’t get secretly married, no, she made me this ring out of silver clay, so we were both kinda wearing rings.
“It also means that nobody will know when we have got married.”

Sarah Hyland loves living with Wells Adams

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Hyland says moving in with Wells Adams has “brought them closer”.
The ‘Modern Family’ actress is really enjoying living with the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ star but quipped they haven’t lived together long enough to discover their pet peeves.
She said: “I think it’s brought us closer. I don’t think it’s been long enough to discover pet peeves in each other.”
And the 27-year-old star is glad her and Wells’ dogs are settling in well too.
Speaking to E! News, she added: “The dogs are amazing. There’s a little bit of a power struggle with Boo and Carl since they’re both big dogs. But Boo is more of a dominant alpha personality where Carl is an alpha-sized dog. But they’re having fun finally playing, and it’s really nice to see Boo finally play with a dog her own size.”
The ‘Bachelorette’ star previously revealed he is moving in with Sarah as they take their relationship to the next level.
He said: “Should I just say it? I guess it’s going to come out after, it doesn’t even matter. I’m straight up moving to Los Angeles. Should I not have said it? I’ve got to go! I don’t know [what I’ll do with my house] yet. I might Airbnb it. I might just long-term rent it. Problem is, it’s furnished … I don’t know. I haven’t gotten that far. First thought is: Let’s go to California. Let’s move in with the lady. If we’re going to take the next step, this is the first step we’ve got to take to decide if we can handle living with one another, you know? I’ll tell you what I’m most concerned about – I’m not concerned about us living together or us getting along or whatever. I’m most concerned about my dog and her dogs … Carl sleeps on my bed. And her dog Boo sleeps on her bed. What’s going to happen?!”

Jennifer Garner cares about Ben Affleck’s sobriety

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner “cares” about Ben Affleck’s sobriety.
The ‘Peppermint’ star may have split from the ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ actor but she is still focused on helping Ben through the tough times, after recently staging an intervention.
A source told People magazine: “There are no secrets, and Jen is great at explaining what’s going on in age-appropriate ways. She tells them Ben is sick and needs doctors. What she ultimately cares about is his sobriety and whether she can rely on him to co-parent. She is trying to keep the father of her children alive. It’s devastating for her to have to stage an intervention in the middle of the afternoon, pretty much in public. But this was a crisis situation.”
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Ben “wanted to go” to rehab before his estranged wife Jennifer – with whom he has children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six – encouraged him to go.
An insider shared: “Ben had been drinking alone for days. He was in bad shape. He had barely been eating and had not showered. It didn’t take much convincing. He wanted to go, and he cooperated. He knew he needed help and was vocal about it.”
Rehab is a “major step in the right direction” for the actor, who previously spent time in a facility for alcohol addiction in 2001 and 2017.
The source shared: “One of the key elements with taking control of your addiction is knowing when to seek help, which he did, and it is a major step in the right direction. One crucial aspect of Ben’s recovery is for him to be able to seek help when he feels as though he is not in control – when his ongoing treatment and meetings with sober coaches aren’t quite enough. Lili Reinhart promises to be honest about her insecurities

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart wants to be “honest about her own insecurities”.
The ‘Riverdale’ star knows she will “never live up to that perfect expectation” and thus wants to show people that she is human too.
She said: “As actors, musicians and people with a platform, we are so often called upon to be good role models and to set a good example. With the expectation of being perfect idols, our mistakes are often amplified, our choices are criticised, and our words are scrutinized. That notion scared me for the longest time, because I know I am not perfect, and I knew I was never going to live up to that perfect expectation. So, I wanted to present myself to the world without a filter, and that meant being honest about my own insecurities, my own shortcomings and my own mistakes. In accepting this honor, it is important for me to acknowledge all of the fans – all of the young people who I celebrate my successes with – who have given me the power to be honest about my personal experience with body dysmorphia, therapy, bullying and mental health issues. It came to my attention that so few influencers were actually willing to talk about their flaws, and that’s an idea I wanted to challenge. That’s when I realised how important it was to stay authentically myself: Imperfect, but still powerful.”
Meanwhile, Lili previously insisted she will “never apologise” for her body.
She shared: “It’s unfortunate that one unflattering photo of my stomach circulating the internet causes hundreds of people to think that I’m pregnant. Nope. Not pregnant. This is just my body. And sometimes I’m bloated. Sometimes and unflattering photo is taken of me. Sometimes I go through periods of time where I gain weight. My body is something that I will NEVER apologise for. My body will constantly go through change. And so will yours. And that’s fine. So let’s not put so much time and effort into caring about a stranger’s figure. (sic)”

The hacker who helped leak nude photographs of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton has been sentenced to eight months in prison

OHMYGOSSIP — The hacker who helped leak nude photographs of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton has been sentenced to eight months in prison.
George Garofano, 26 – who arranged a phishing scheme with other people to obtain the passwords and usernames of over 240 Apple iCloud accounts, including several celebrities – was ordered to serve the jail term followed by three years of supervised release by US District Judge Victor A. Bolden in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Wednesday (29.08.18).
He was recently released on a $50,000 bond, and has now been ordered to report to prison on October 10th this year.
Judge Bolden ordered Garofano to perform 60 hours of community service while on supervised release.
Earlier this month, Garofano filed documents in his criminal case asking the judge to give him a shorter prison sentence followed by home detention after prosecutors recommended 10-16 months behind bars.
The prosecution wrote in a sentencing memo to the court: “Mr Garofano’s offense was a serious one. He illegally hacked into his victims’ online accounts, invaded their privacy, and stole their personal information, including private and intimate photos.
“He did not engage in this conduct on just one occasion. He engaged in this conduct 240 times over the course of 18 months.
“Not only did Mr Garofano keep for himself the photographs he stole, he disseminated them to other individuals. He may have also sold them to others to earn ‘extra income’.”
But Garofano claimed he had “already suffered enough” and said that the crime took place at the end of his senior year of college, and while he should’ve known better, he feels deep “remorse” for those affected.
He said in the legal papers: “It was not only illegal, but morally wrong, and it will take me a while to forgive myself for this, and I am disappointed in myself for anyone that I hurt, the victims, my family, and my friends. I feel remorse for anyone that could have been affected by this on any scale, public or private. It is a part of my life that I will always regret, as it has never been a reflection of who I am as an individual.”
His lawyer added: “Of course, he was old enough to know better even back then, that the conduct he was engaging in was wrong.
“But he now stands before the Court having matured, accepting responsibility or his actions and not having been in trouble with the law since.”
In April, Garofano pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorised access to a protected computer to obtain information and was released on a $50,000 bond.
Following the 2014 hack, Jennifer’s rep said at the time: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy.”
