OHMYGOSSIP — Katharine McPhee and David Foster gatecrashed a wedding in Canada last weekend.
The loved-up couple – who recently got engaged themselves – were so impressed with the wedding of Whitney Madian and her husband Shant at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria on Saturday, which they witnessed from their hotel balcony, that they went down stairs to secretly sign the newlyweds’ guest book at the reception.
Whitney told TMZ that she saw the pair scribbling away in her book that she approached them and ended up having a conversation with them for five minutes.
The blushing bride explained that Katharine and David had told her that they watched her walk down the aisle from their balcony and thought the wedding was “beautiful.”
The bride then compared her wedding band with Katharine’s engagement ring.
The 34-year-old actress got engaged to the record producer, 68, at the beginning of last month following less than a year of dating and can’t wait to become his wife.
At the end of last year, Katharine revealed she had been friends with David – the ex-husband of reality star Yolanda Hadid – for years before their relationship became romantic.
She explained: “We’re very close friends, and we’ve been friends for a long time. I’m really, really fond of him, and I think he’s an incredible person. I’ve known him since I was 21 years old, you know? He produced my first single. So he’s been really good to me. People can say whatever they want.”
The couple actually met when Katharine auditioned for ‘American Idol’, in which he was a guest judge, back in 2006 but she had no idea who he was at the time.
She said: “I grew up listening to Céline Dion and I love Andrea Bocelli — I knew ‘The Prayer’ because I’d sung it for something and my mom made me learn the Italian.
“I remember calling [my mom] and I was like: ‘You’re never going to believe, the guest mentors this week is Andrea Bocelli and there’s this producer that I don’t know but he’s supposed to be really amazing. His name is David Foster.’
“My mom was like, ‘Katharine, you know who David Foster is. You’ve listened to every artist that he’s ever created.’ And I was like, ‘Ohh… okay.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Patrick Harris’ husband was turned off by his body transformation for his role in the theatre production of ‘Hedwig & The Angry Inch’ in 2014.
The 45-year-old actor was forced to lose weight and get rid of his body hair for his portrayal of the title character, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in the same year, but his spouse David Burtka has admitted it was a “difficult time” at home because he didn’t like the change.
Speaking on SiriusXM, the 43-year-old actor said: “I, as his husband … I like manly guys. He had shaved his body, he had lost all this weight, he had become sort of asexual as this character … he’d take his shirt off, I could see the bones in his back. There was no smell on him – his body was shaved, there was no hair on him, so he became this sort of androgynous being that I didn’t sign up to marry.”
Neil and David met on the set of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and tied the knot in Italy in September 2014 following over a decade of dating.
The couple have seven-year-old twins Harper and Gideon together and recently admitted that they enjoys taking them on trips around their hometown of New York so they are able to witness “different types of people” from different walks of life.
Neil said: “We live up in Harlem, New York so we intentionally want our kids to bear witness and see all different types of people existing in all different types of ways. We love to go to fancy restaurants, we love to take the subway … If you can go and meet and experience all kinds of other people doing all kinds of different things.. your mind will expand in ways you can’t even imagine. Travel and meet and explore and never think you’re too old to learn.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry burst into song with a rendition of ‘You’ll Be Back’ while attending the ‘Hamilton’ musical alongside his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, on Wednesday night (29.08.18).
The 33-year-old prince took to the stage at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, with the cast following the performance of the musical, and he began singing the tune, which was performed by the character of his sixth great-grandfather King George III in the production.
Harry began the tune by crooning, “You say …” but cut his performance short to huge applause from the crowd.
Referring to the show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who was also on stage, he said: “You did try, but I said no.”
Harry then thanked the crowd for raising money for his charity Sentebale – which works with kids and youngsters affected by HIV in southern Africa – by attending the production.
He said: “Ladies and gentleman, thank you so much – thank you to Cameron Mackintosh productions, to the show’s creators Thomas Kail and of course Lin-Manuel Miranda, the cast and crew.
“And as already mentioned, a round of applause for yourselves for taking part in this evening’s activities because you have together, raised a huge amount of money to change the lives of thousands of children in Botswana and Lesotho.
“Through that work that we’re going to be doing now – we will be able to stop the generational hand down of the stigma around HIV.
“So, thank you so much for being here this evening.”
Harry then praised the show’s cast for their regular energetic performances.
He told them: “I don’t know how you guys do it every single night, over and over again.”
‘Hamilton’ tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, and also pokes fun at Harry’s ancestor George.

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley has received an apology from a Twitter user who asked her if she felt “guilty seeking self-gratification” by posing for photoshoots while her kid was “at home without their mother”.
The former ‘Corrie’ star – who has three-year-old son Alfie with husband Tom Pitfield – insisted she is a “brilliant mum” in response to the social media user, who she claimed was “mum-shaming” her, and insists she puts her little one to bed “almost every night”.
She wrote: “I see my son every day . I wake up with him and put him to bed almost every night…I am a BRILLIANT mum. He is testiment to that. Like so many other women out there doing their BEST for their families. (sic)”
The Twitter user wrote: “Not trying to Mum shame at all. I’d say the same to anyone doing the same whether they are a mum or dad. I just find it so strange when people do what you do with these shoots… you won’t get this time back.. thats all.
“I’m sure he is an amazing wonderful little man. Point taken. I wouldn’t like people judging my life so I apologise. I’m too far the other way. If I could quit work and spend 24/7 with my Son I would. I hate only seeing him mornings and evenings. Good luck with your future (sic)”
The back-tracking tweets come after Catherine was left “speechless” by a previous comment by the Twitter user, who asked how she “has time” for photoshoots.
They wrote: “Why do you feel the need to post pics and selfies of yourself online? You are a Mother and a responsible adult. How do you have time to have photo shoots etc? Don’t you feel guilty seeking self gratification while your child is at home without their Mother? (sic)”
Catherine fired back: “Wow… I mean I’m speechless. Is it 1950?? Mum shaming??? Really??? I have no need to justify or explain my actions to you or anyone. So much for parents empowering and supporting each other. May your heart find joy and gratitude . Blessings x (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has confirmed she is back with James ‘Arg’ Argent.
The ‘TOWIE’ star took to Twitter on Wednesday night (29.08.18) to reveal she’s been standing by her on-off boyfriend after he re-entered rehab, whilst hailing him her “ride of die”.
Alongside a clip of them sharing a motorcycle ride, she tweeted: “Thank you for all the amazing comments & support for my show!
“The response has been overwhelming not to mention trending No1 on twitter! I love Arg very much, He is working so hard. We’re back together & happy! #RideOrDie (sic)”
Her tweet comes after Arg shared a gushing message of his own showing how proud he is of his partner’s new show ‘Diva Espana’.
He wrote: “Can’t describe how proud I am of my girlfriend @missgemcollins #DivaEspana NUMBER 1 TRENDING on Twitter! Finally seeing the real her @ITVBe (sic)”
Earlier this week, Arg revealed he was back in rehab to get the “ongoing support” he needs.
The 30-year-old reality star – who also spent time in The Priory for alleged drink and drug issues in 2014 – spent three months in a facility in Thailand over the festive season in 2016 in a bid to curb his wild ways.
He said: “It’s not been an easy time but I’m happy to be back in a programme that gives me the ongoing support I need.
“I’m thankful for the incredible support I have received from my family, close friends and colleagues.”
It had been reported his issues had put a “huge strain” on his relationship with Gemma and caused them to split, but they are now in a better place.
Gemma has been supporting him throughout his struggles, which hasn’t been easy.
She admitted recently: “It was incredibly raw, yes, it’s been an incredibly difficult summer. But, that said, you know, we’re back now in Essex and Arg is receiving help and you know, as long as he’s doing well, that’s great for him and for us.
“I’m just supporting him on his journey and I’m feeling pleased that the viewers get to see what goes on behind the cameras and I think it’s good for them to see that behind all the glamour there’s real ups and downs, even in celebrities’ lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert thinks about Freddie Mercury when he’s performing with Queen.
The 36-year-old singer – who has been performing vocals for the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ group on tour since 2012 – has opened up about “carrying a torch” for the late icon.
Speaking backstage at The O2 arena in London in a behind-the-scenes video that has been shared with fans, he said: “When I sing ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ I think about Freddie. I think about Freddie sort of being taken away from us way too soon and him being so ahead of his time.
“I think about that because in a way he is living forever because we’re still singing these songs, we’re still performing them for the audience, we’re reminding them of Freddie, Freddie makes appearances during the show, we talk about Freddie – he is living on through his contributions, through his art and that’s one of the biggest treats of being able to do this many years later.
“It allows someone like me who looks to Freddie as an icon, as a role model, as a hero and sort of getting to, in my own way, sort of carry a torch for him in a way and keep it burning.
“It really means a lot to me, I love that.”
The former ‘American Idol’ contestant also spoke about how the frontman – who died of an AIDS-related illness in 1991 – was “ahead of his time” and would still be relevant in today’s music scene.
Speaking during a meet and greet with members of the LGBTQ+ youth group Mosaic that he met with in June, which features in the video, he explained: “I feel like Freddie is still … kind of ahead of his time. There’s like moments in the show where I think about him or some of the lyrics to some of the songs he wrote and I’m like ‘wow’.
“I mean it still feels true to today like it doesn’t seem like it occurred in the 70s or 80s it feels like it could’ve been written yesterday.”
Aside from praising Mercury’s musical talents, the ‘Ghost Town’ singer was also quick to hail the star for his flamboyant style which he likes to channel when he’s on stage.
He said: “One of the things that I really love about performing with Queen – besides these incredible songs and these amazing musicians that I get to share the stage with – is thinking about Freddie and the way he performed.
“He was fearless, he was bold, he was over the top and he was wild and starting in the 70s his wardrobe was also really, really playful. It was whimsical, it was glam, it was camp. So when I pick out my looks for this concert, I always try to think of it from that point of view.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Dinklage has spoken out after claims of “whitewashing” regarding his role in ‘My Dinner With Hervé’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actor plays ‘James Bond’ star Hervé Villechaize – who played henchman Nick Nack in ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ – in the upcoming HBO movie, and has responded to fans who suggested he shouldn’t have been cast as someone they claimed was half-French and half-Filipino.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Weekly’ Dinklage, 49, explained: “The internet is the best thing and the worst thing. The funny thing about the backlash is it addresses what we address in the film about not judging a book by its cover.
“Hervé was judged by how he looked, and cast and perceived to be who he is accordingly. It says [Villechiaze was half-Filipino] on Wikipedia. Family members can’t change information on there.”
After pointing out that a lot of what is said online isn’t actually true, Dinklage admitted he agrees with the backlash about whitewashing when it’s an accurate complaint.
He added: “I completely understand that. But Hervé wasn’t Filipino. Dwarfism manifests physically in many different ways. I have a very different type of dwarfism than Hervé had. I’ve met his brother and other members of his family. He was French, and of German and English descent.
“So it’s strange these people are saying he’s Filipino. They kind of don’t have any information. I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes or sense of justice because I feel the exact same way when there’s some weird racial profile.
“But these people think they’re doing the right thing politically and morally and it’s actually getting flipped because what they’re doing is judging and assuming what he is ethnically based on his looks alone. He has a very unique face and people have to be very careful about this stuff.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling has never had as much help for a role as he did for ‘First Man’.
The 37-year-old actor portrays late astronaut Neil Armstrong in the drama, which retells NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon for the first time, and the Hollywood star has revealed he even spent time with the late aeronautical engineer’s family to do the part justice, and got flying lessons.
In an interview with Deadline, he said: “I’ve never had more help in my life on a film … Whether it was Neil’s sons or his late ex-wife Janet or Neil’s sister, his childhood friends… NASA opened the door to the facilities.
“Neil was a very famously introspective quiet humble person so the challenge was to honour that but also to create windows into what he might be or had been experiencing emotionally at the time.
“I thought what I should do was learn how to fly.”
Gosling – who reunited with his ‘La La Land’ director Damien Chazelle on the movie – didn’t take to flying very well, and when he struggled to perform a controlled stall, he realised how brave it was of Armstrong to be so determined to push the possibilities in Space knowing that it could all go terribly wrong.
He said: “I thought in that moment, ‘This is a terrible idea and there was a reason why Neil Armstrong was destined to be one of the greatest pilots and I’m not.’ In that moment, I realised something about Neil.
“It’s a certain kind of person that will get into a plane and intentionally push it to its breaking point for the sole purpose of pushing our aeronautics forward.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shakira was forced to axe her concert in Los Angeles last night (29.08.18) after being struck down with a virus.
The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer had already completed her first night at The Forum in Inglewood, but took to Instagram hours before she was due on stage again to announce she was postponing the show till September 3.
However, the star has “reassured” her fans in Anaheim, California, that she will be fit enough to perform on Saturday (31.08.18), when her ‘El Dorado World Tour’ continues at the Honda Center.
She wrote on Instagram: “Los Angeles, thank you so much for one of the most unforgettable night of the tour last night. You guys were such an unbelievable crowd. I was so excited to sing and dance with you again tonight.
“However, after the show I started to feel unwell and I woke up this morning with a virus that has knocked me off my feet.
“I’m so sorry that I am unable to perform tonight.
“I am looking forward to celebrating with you all in the biggest way on the reschedule date of Monday, September 3rd at The Forum.
“My doctors have also reassured me that I will be well enough to perform in Anaheim on Friday, Aug 31st.
“Thanks for your understanding and for being the best fans an artist could possibly have.
All my love, Shak (sic)”
It’s not the first time Shakira has been forced to axe dates due to ill health.
In November, the Colombian singer was had to postpone her world tour after suffering a haemorrhage in her vocal cord.
The 41-year-old singer was due to start the run of dates in Germany on November 8, but was forced to pull out of the opening show on doctor’s orders, to avoid further damaging her voice, with further dates also being affected.
Shakira completed her rescheduled US dates earlier this month.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has a new anime-inspired tattoo.
The 25-year-old singer already has several inkings over her body, but she added another one earlier this week when she went under the needle to have Chihiro, the main character from the Japanese movie ‘Spirited Away’, tattooed on her forearm.
Ariana – who is currently engaged to Pete Davidson – showed off the new ink on her Instagram Story, where she also shared a detailed description of the “brave young girl” in the movie.
She wrote in a post shared after her tattoo: “Chihiro’s growth into a capable individual is a core factor to the movement of ‘Spirited Away’s plot. During her adventure in the Spirit World, she matures from an easily-scared girl with a child-like personality to match her age to a hard-working, responsible and brave young girl who has learned to put her fears aside for those she cares for. To protect her friends and rescue her parents from a spell that has turned them into livestock, Chihiro sheds her former personality and adapts to her environment to become a courageous, quick-witted and reliable girl.”
The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ hitmaker has been getting several new inkings recently, as just three months ago she had a bee tattooed behind her ear in memory of the victims of the Manchester terror attack, which left 22 dead when a bomb went off in the foyer of the city’s Arena following her concert there last May.
Ariana shared a picture of the tattoo – which was created using black ink and features the Mancunian symbol with its wings have been shaped into heart – on Instagram and captioned it: “forever (sic)”
Following the devastating attack last year, Ariana returned to the city to put on a star-studded One Love Manchester concert to raise money for the victims and she also visited the victims’ families and those who were injured in hospital.
Her solidarity with Manchester in the wake of the attack was praised by the local council, who made her an honorary citizen of Manchester.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher is “doting” on her during her pregnancy.
The ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker and the 38-year-old former NHL player – who already have three-year-old son Isaiah together – are set to expand their brood as Carrie is expecting the pair’s second child, and Mike has reportedly been “the most amazing husband” to her during her pregnancy.
A source said: “Mike is being the most doting, amazing husband while Carrie pregnant. Mike tries to take Carrie out once or twice a week for date night in Nashville.”
Despite already having one child, the sporting star is even brushing up on his technique by reading parenting books, and doing his best to make sure the 35-year-old singer is “happy and comfortable”.
The insider added to Us Weekly magazine: “[He is] reading a bunch of parenting books, rubbing Carrie’s feet and is making sure she is happy and comfortable at all times.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Cry Pretty’ singer recently said she’s doing her best to plan ahead before the new arrival comes, because she knows being a mother of two is going to be a “different ball game”.
She said: “It’s going to be a different ball game, for sure. My brain, I’m such a planner. I want to know how it’s all going to go. But no matter who you are, you make it happen, you make it work, you get your team behind you.”
Carrie is hoping that all hands will be on deck to help around the house once the tot is born, and she’s confident Isaiah will be a “really good big brother” to his new sibling.
She added: “I think he’ll be a really good big brother. I think he’ll be helpful.”
Previously, sources claimed Carrie couldn’t be happier to be pregnant again, as it comes after a tough year which saw her suffer a serious accident for which she had to undergo surgery for a broken wrist and receive more then 40 stitches on her face.
The insider said: “This baby is incredibly exciting because it represents new beginnings after a very challenging year. She is ready to put her accident behind her and focus on her family and her new album release.
“Mike is thrilled because he desperately wanted another baby, and their son Isaiah even talks about a baby brother or sister, so the whole family is in celebration mode. When Mike and Carrie married he told her he wanted a large family, so this is a dream come true for him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver was forced to pump £12.7 million of his own savings into his Jamie’s Italian restaurant chain to save it from collapsing.
The 43-year-old celebrity chef has opened up about the “dramatic” incident last September in which his chain of Italian restaurants – which he first opened in Oxford in 2008 – unexpectedly “ran out of cash”, forcing him to use his own money to revive the failing business.
He said: “We had simply run out of cash, and we hadn’t expected it. That is just not normal, in any business. You have quarterly meetings. You do board meetings. People supposed to manage that stuff should manage that stuff.
“I had two hours to put money in and save it or the whole thing would go to s**t that day or the next day. It was as bad as that and as dramatic as that.”
The ‘Jamie’s Kitchen’ star – who is worth an estimated £150 million – made an emergency cash injection of £7.5 million at first to keep the business afloat, before adding another £5.2 million over the following months.
Jamie admits he still isn’t sure what caused the sudden financial decline of the chain, but says wage increases, higher rent costs, and Brexit – the decision for Britain to leave the European Union (EU) – were contributing factors.
Speaking to the Financial Times newspaper, he added: “I honestly don’t know [what happened]. We’re still trying to work it out, but I think that the senior management we had in place were trying to manage what they would call the perfect storm – rents, rates, the high street declining, food costs, Brexit, increase in the minimum wage. There was a lot going on.”
The financial meltdown of Jamie’s Italian caused the television star to shut down 12 of the 37 UK restaurants he had opened, including three in London.
Jamie has also since closed his “British pizza” brand Union Jacks, as well as his Recipease deli and cookery school.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilary Swank thinks there’s still “a long way to go” when it comes to transgender rights.
The 44-year-old actress won an Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of murdered transgender man Brandon Teena in ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ in 1999, and has said whilst some progression has been made in advocating for rights for transgender people, she wouldn’t necessarily say things are “better”.
When asked if she thinks trans rights have improved, Hilary said: “I don’t know how we define better. Expanding awareness is definitely growth. We have a long way to go still.”
Reflecting on her role in the movie, Hilary also commented on the controversy that surrounded Scarlett Johansson earlier this year when she was cast as a transgender man in drama movie ‘Rub & Tug’, which she later pulled out of.
She said: “[There are people] who have said I shouldn’t have done ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, [but] at the time, the whole community was grateful that I did it because they said, had it been someone who was from this experience, people would have said: ‘Oh, you’re just telling your personal story.'”
But the ‘Million Dollar Baby’ star insists things are different since she played Brandon two decades ago, because “everyone” should be given the opportunity for a starring role, including trans actors.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, she said: “What’s hard is that not everyone is given an opportunity, and that’s where I think the struggle is. Nobody knew who I was when I did ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. I was a newcomer – and the movie did well.
“The important thing to remember is people are wanting to be seen for who they are. And people are fighting for their space in the world. That I understand. But I do think it can be a slippery slope, because I don’t think anyone should be pigeonholed.
“And I do think that all genders should have an opportunity to be an actor and tell their stories. And I think that all genders should have the opportunity to audition for all types of roles. I was honoured to be a part of the beginning of an important conversation. The community means a great deal to me.
“We all have the underlying sameness of wanting to be loved; to give love, to receive love. We all experience pain. It might be from different circumstances, but the pain is the same.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyne-Lexy Clarson dropped two dress sizes in six weeks with new weight loss plan.
The former ‘Love Island’ star underwent an incredible weight loss transformation by using Shake It Slim meal replacement drinks after admitting she “hit rock bottom”, which forced her to ditch all junk food and exercised four times a week.
Tyne-Lexy said: “I’ve got my body confidence back. I hit rock bottom when my weight ballooned but now I have got all my confidence back and I am ready for another adventure.
“I would look at pictures of me in the TV villa last year and think, ‘You’ve really let yourself go.'”
The drama student lost four inches off her waist, dropping from a size 14 to 10 and losing a stone in weight.
Tyne-Lexy confessed she had gained weight after the hit show ended as she felt under less pressure to look good.
She added: “Obviously when millions are watching you on TV every night there is a real incentive to look good. We were all incredibly careful about what we ate and drank on the show because we knew our every move would be scrutinised on social media.
“When all that pressure lifted and I went back to my studies, I lost it a bit and I was horrified by my weight and body shape at the start of the summer.”
The villa star was on a six-week body blitz devised by the health and wellbeing firm Forza Supplements which involved reducing her calorie intake by swapping some meals for its Shake It Slim meal replacement drinks.
Speaking in a press release Tyne-Lexy confessed: “I felt so much fitter and healthier after getting my body back to what it was like on Love Island.”

OHMYGOSSIP — UKTV are launching a mini-series entitled ‘Geek Island’, as a parody of ITV2 reality show ‘Love Island’.
The television network will premiere the new series – which sees eight geniuses star in four one-minute episodes – on Thursday (30.08.18), as a hilarious parody to the already popular reality series which sees a group of single hopefuls enter a villa in a quest for love.
In ‘Geek Island’, geniuses travel to a sun-soaked mansion where their IQ will be put to the test during steamy debates on quantum mechanics, macro evolution and modern geopolitics.
The contestants have been chosen for their intelligence, and include Miss England and Radiotherapy & Oncology graduate Stephanie Hill, ITV’s ‘Survival of the Fittest’ star Georgie Clarke, and University Challenge prodigy Bobby Seagull.
Bobby, who is currently studying for his PHD at Cambridge, said: “When the Seagull lands the girls come flocking. I’m packing a whopper upstairs in my 19-inch cranium and I’m ready to divide the mansion, subtract the guys and multiply with the girls.”
The ‘Geek Island’ cast will engage in sexually-charged and heated academic debates within the luxurious mansion.
Viewers can learn about Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, the nuances of evolutionary theories and the reactivity of chemical compounds from their lively discussions and flirty debates.
Georgie – who also holds a degree in Fashion Business and Management with Cultural Studies – said: “I’m a big believer in the saying ‘brains over brawn’ and I’m looking for intellectual stimulation and real chemistry in the Geek Island mansion.”
The full four minutes of Geek Island will launch on UKTV Thursday (30.08.18) and celebrates a new season of documentaries and factual shows throughout September containing over 1,000 shows available for free including ‘Wildest Africa’, ‘Forbidden History’ and ‘Impossible Railways’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is “absolutely broken” by her father Thomas Markle’s continued harsh comments about her.
The 74-year-old father of the royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before marrying Prince Harry in May this year – has been hitting headlines recently after he claimed she would be “nothing” without him and demanded that she pay him financial support, and it has now been claimed that the comments have caused Meghan to experience “high anxiety” over concerns that it may never stop.
A source close to the 37-year-old actress said: “Meghan is absolutely broken by the drama with her father. There’s no way she can have a relationship with him or even reach out to him to stop him from speaking. She knows he’ll record the conversation and sell it. She has high anxiety wondering if this will go on forever.”
The former ‘Suits’ star has been receiving support from the royal family during this “tough” time, which reportedly even includes Queen Elizabeth herself, who is said to have nothing but “sympathy” for Meghan.
A Buckingham Palace insider added to Us Weekly magazine: “What may surprise some is just how supportive Her Majesty has been during the problems Meghan has faced with her family. Meghan is in a tough place, and the queen knows it’s completely out of Meghan’s hands. She has only sympathy for what’s been a difficult and distressing situation for her.”
Over recent weeks, Meghan has received harsh comments from several members of her estranged family, including her father, as well as her half- sister Samatha and half-brother Thomas Markle Jr., who all believe fame has “changed” their relative.
However, whilst she is believed to be saddened by the ordeal, she isn’t “shocked or surprised” by their behaviour.
A source said recently: “[Their] behaviour is something she has had to deal with for most of her adult life. There has been a long history of ‘dad disappointment’ with her life being splattered with upset because of her relationship with [her dad]. She isn’t shocked or surprised by his behaviour and dealt with it all with a lot of grace.”
