Jamie Foxx’s sister taught him ‘how to live’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Foxx “learned how to live” thanks to his sister DeOndra Dixon, who suffers from Down’s syndrome.
The 50-year-old actor has admitted that caring for his younger sibling DeOndra – whose condition causes growth delays and intellectual disability – has helped to put his life into perspective, as he doesn’t get caught up in wanting materialistic things.
Speaking in a promotional clip for the upcoming episode of ‘Dateline’ – which airs on Friday (31.08.18) – Jamie said: “I learned how to live. Sometimes we get caught up in our world on the extras of everything – ‘Ah, the Mercedes is not the right colour!’ And then you see this girl over here, ‘I just want to live. I want to dance. I want to love.’ So she brings you back down to what life is.”
DeOndra has her own kind words to say about Jamie too.
She said: “I do feel down and sad and when he’s not here.”
To which the ‘Django Unchained’ star comically answered: “And what do you do? You text me. You say, ‘Where you at?’ And, ‘Where the money at?'”
The actor’s love for life can even be seen in his dieting habits, as he says that whilst he wants to look good, he won’t ever try to skip meals in order to get in shape.
He said: If anybody tells you to fast or not eat, it’s the worst thing you do. For me, it’s about eating right.
“You just have to eat smart and put the right things in your body. You can eat anytime you want to, as long as you are doing the right things.”
The ‘Baby Driver’ star also shared his top workout tips, which involves strapping himself with bands while he exercises .
He said: “One of the most effective things for me is working out with bands. I’ll take the bands and strap that over my knees. I’ll do about 20 to 25 squats with the band. Then I drop the band to my ankle and do lunges to the side, 15 times right, 15 times left, 15 times forward, 15 times back … and then about 20 semi-circles with my feet.”

Muse unveil new album Simulation Theory

OHMYGOSSIP — Muse will release their new album ‘Simulation Theory’ on November 9.
The British rock trio – comprised of Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme – have unveiled the impressive sci-fi-themed artwork for their hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s ‘Drones’ LP, which is the masterpiece of digital artist Kyle Lambert, whose portfolio includes work on ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Jurassic Park’.
The ‘Plug in Baby’ hitmakers are also set to announce a tour as a press release states that fans that pre-order the record through the band’s official website, “will get early access to tickets for Muse’s 2019 tour”.
The album details come after frontman Matt teased the epic guitar solo on the track ‘The Dark Side’, which is now available to download with all pre-orders.
The 40-year-old rocker gave fans a preview of the song by sharing a video of himself recording the stringed instrument part in his garage on Tuesday (28.08.18)
Matt captioned the Instagram clip of him slaying the instrument: “The Dark Side guitar solo. Make your own accompaniment! #musethedarkside #guitarsolo #inthegarage (sic)”
The song teaser followed the release of futuristic single ‘Something Human’
Matt and co accompanied the cinematic track with an impressive action-packed music video, which sees the frontman speed around in a fast car being chased by drummer Dominic Howard and bass guitarist Chris Wolstenholme, and is based on the Tyler Posey-starring supernatural drama series ‘Teen Wolf’.
‘Something Human’ – which was co-produced by the ‘Plug in Baby’ hitmakers themselves, Rich Costey and mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent – addresses the need to reset and re-engage with our human emotions.
Matt said previously: “Life on the road can bring out your inner beast, this song and video is about taming that beast, desiring a return to something human. Plus, ‘Teen Wolf’ is cool.”
So far Muse have released ‘Dig Down’, ‘Thought Contagion’ and ‘Something Human’ from the new record.

Jax Jones lost out to Calvin Harris

OHMYGOSSIP — Jax Jones lost out to Calvin Harris when it came to bagging Sam Smith for a song.
The 31-year-old DJ and producer has made a name for himself in the music scene having collaborated with the likes of Demi Lovato and Mabel – however he still finds himself competing with the likes of Calvin Harris when it comes to securing more big named musicians to feature on his songs.
In an interview with the Official Charts, he said: “The thing about the charts these days is you have to pace yourself. It’s like getting on a horse for 10 weeks and constantly racing. It’s been competitive this summer with Drake and Calvin.
“In fact, Calvin won’t leave us alone. He’s getting everyone that I’ve emailed asking if they’ll sing on a record and beating me to it! I emailed Sam Smith with a track about four months ago. Nevermind though, eh?!”
However the ‘Ring Ring’ hitmaker doesn’t have any problems being compared to the Scottish producer and went on to explain how he had ambitions to be just as successful after his musical debut in 2016.
He explained: “‘After You Don’t Know Me’, people were like, ‘oh right, okay…’ but after ‘Breathe’ people were more like, ‘okay, I like this guy!’. That song earned me the kind of kudos you look for as a musician.
“I’ve always dreamed of being someone like Calvin Harris, who is incredibly consistent. People started regarding me as someone who makes hits, which is so gratifying as a musician.”
Jones also has aspirations of lending his own vocals to one of his tracks after years of collaborating with famous vocalists.
In a previous interview, he revealed: “I’ve got a lot of new collaborations, I’ve been in with Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne and more writing sessions in September are coming up.
“But my dream is to get a song without a feature or guest vocalist and maybe even I’ll sing on it and have a hit that way, that will be so fresh.
“Man has tone, I’ve got notes trust me! I have a few songs I sing on and everyone is trying to persuade me to do them live, but I am too shy!”

Gladys Knight: Whitney Houston was corrupted by Satan

OHMYGOSSIP — Gladys Knight has suggested Whitney Houston was being corrupted by Satan before her passing.
The ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’ soul star has heaped praise on the iconic singer – who was tragically found dead in her bathtub in 2012 – but suggested her incredible talent meant the devil “was working on her big time”.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2’s show ‘Mica Meets Gladys Knight’, she said: “To be very honest with you, I had not heard a talent like that. I mean, oh my God, what an awesome gift she had. And because she was so gifted Satan was working her big time.
“She was my girl. She was beautiful, she was talented. I had people in my family who had gone that way, so it hurt me more to see.
“It was just little Whitney you know? Little Whitney – what are you doing? I didn’t know she was in that deep and that one really got me. That one really, really got me.”
Whitney was found to have cocaine, marijuana and prescription medication in her system when she accidentally drowned in the bath in February 2012, and her battle with addiction has been well-documented.
Earlier this year a picture of her bathroom littered with drug paraphernalia – which was secretly taken by her cousin Tina Brown in 2006 – was bought by Kanye West for $500,000 to use as the artwork for Pusha-T’s album ‘Daytona’.
The original image was published 12 years ago by the National Enquirer – six years before Whitney’s death from accidental drowning aged 48.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed that Gladys, 74, will headline the BBC Proms in the Park event at London’s Hyde Park on September 8, topping a bill featuring the likes of Lisa Stansfield and Josh Groban.
The Grammy Award-winning star said: “I’m so excited to be performing at this year’s BBC Proms in the Park, I love coming to the UK and always receive such a warm welcome. Performing on the Hyde Park stage as part of the Last Night of the Proms event has always been a dream of mine and I think it’s a wonderful way to celebrate music in London!”

Kanye West apologises for slavery comments

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West has finally apologised for his controversial comments in which he seemingly claimed slavery was “a choice”.
The 41-year-old rapper sparked a fierce backlash earlier this year when he said that the 400 years of black slavery was a choice made by those enslaved.
He said at the time: “When you hear about slavery for 400 years – for 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”
And now, three months on from his controversial comments, he has reached out to anyone who may have been offended by what he said.
He said: “I don’t know if I properly apologised for how that slave comment made people feel, so I want to take this moment right now to say that I’m sorry for hurting.
“I’m sorry for the 1-2 effect of the MAGA [Make America Great Again] hat into the slave comment and I’m sorry for people who felt let down by that moment.”
The ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker also thanked the radio station for giving him the platform to clarify what he meant, while he went on to open up about his friendship with US president Donald Trump.
Speaking to WGCI 107.5, he added: “I feel that [Trump] cares about the way black people feel about him, and he would like for black people to like him like they did when he was cool in the rap songs and all this.
“[Trump] will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he’s got an ego like all the rest of us, and he wants to be the greatest president, and he knows that he can’t be the greatest president without the acceptance of the black community.”
Kanye – who has kids North, five, Saint, two, and seven-month-old Chicago – also previously revealed he feared his wife Kim Kardashian West would end their relationship following his controversial interview with TMZ, in which he made inflammatory comments about slavery back in May.
He confessed: “There was a moment where I felt like after TMZ, maybe a week after that, I felt like the energy levels were low, and I called different family members and was asking, you know, ‘Was Kim thinking about leaving me after TMZ?’ So that was a real conversation.”

Ben Jardine confesses his love to Roxanne Pallett

OHMYGOSSIP — Celebrity Big Brother’s Ben Jardine tells Roxanne Pallett that he loves her on tonight’s episode (30.08.18).
The ‘Married at First Sight’ star declares his true feelings for the former ‘Emmerdale’ actress, despite the fact that the brunette beauty is engaged to Lee Walton.
While sitting on the bed, the brunette beauty begins removing Ben’s eyeliner and, in the intimate moment, the reality star casually confessed that he has feelings for her.
He says: “I love you, you’re amazing, I’m sorry.”
Roxanne then puts her finger on her lips, telling him to hush him, but he continued: “I don’t care anymore; I thought today, I thought f**k it.”
An unimpressed Roxanne retorted: “That’s hurt my feelings, that’s really disappointed me.”
But he said: “It’s how I feel, f**k em’, anyway clean my eye.”
Despite admitting his true feelings, the pair have decided it’s best if they just stay clear of each other.
Ben said: “I don’t know, I know how I feel, it is what it is, end of.
To which Roxanne replied: “I can’t believe that you just said that.”
Ben then added before they went to sleep: “I finally find my soul mate and like, I can’t even talk to her without people thinking, uh, he’ll ruin her life.”
Roxanne’s fiance has previously stated he is not worried about the effect of Ben on his relationship with Roxanne, and knows nothing will change between them when she comes out.
He said: “I am not worried. I know she loves me and I love her and we’re strong.
“I don’t think she would have gone in if she wasn’t 100 per cent strong about how we are.
“Nothing will change when she gets out, other than we’ll get married.”
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ continues at 9pm on Channel 5.

Lady Gaga feels very lonely

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga finds it “very lonely” being a performer.
The ‘Pokerface’ hitmaker admits it has been tough for her in the spotlight and has left her feeling insecure and alone.
She said: “It’s very lonely being a performer. There’s a certain loneliness that I feel, anyway – that I’m the only one that does what I do. So, it feels like no one understands. And the urge to use is because you’re searching for a way to quell the pain.
“When I first started to perform around the country doing nightclubs, there was stuff everywhere, but I had already partied when I was younger, so I didn’t dabble. I was able to avoid it because I did it when I was a kid.”
And the 32-year-old singer admits she doesn’t “always practice what she preaches”.
Speaking in a profile for the Los Angeles Times, she added: “I like to preach but I don’t always practice what I preach … I’m so insecure. To be honest, I think what makes me feel beautiful is when I see happiness in my fans. When I see or hear from them that the music that I’ve made has changed their life in some way, that’s what makes me feel beautiful. Because this is just the outside, you know? And at the end of the day, I could be in a million movies and put out a million songs and everyone could say, ‘She was so beautiful,’ but that’s not really what I want. I want them to say, ‘I saw that movie and I cried my eyes out and I learned something about myself.'”

Hilaria Baldwin’s pretty great labours

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilaria Baldwin has had four “pretty great labours”.
The 34-year-old star – who has Carmen, five, Rafael, three, Leonardo, 23 months, and Romeo, three months, with her husband Alec Baldwin – feels lucky that every birth has gone smoothly and thinks that is down to how “fit” she is.
She said: “I’m fit before pregnancy, I stay as fit as I can during pregnancy, and that I think has allowed me to have pretty great labours, deliveries and recovery. This time was hard because I had pneumonia during my labor and delivery, so I was really sick. It wasn’t as fast as the other times, but I made a comeback.”
And Hilaria feels it is important to focus on her fitness, despite her busy schedule looking after her four kids.
She added: “I have to work out when it’s convenient for my four little children and my husband and my two dogs. A lot of times, what I’ll do is I’ll get up, get the kids ready and then I’ll go for a jog. Al gets the kids in the car and will meet me at the end of my jog. And then we go and we drop the kids off at camp.
“I’m really just so efficient with trying to find windows of time. I know that my jog is 30 minutes, and if I can make my 30-minute jog and then when nap time is I can do another 30 minutes of yoga or whatever it is, that’s a really good day.”
The brunette beauty feels a lot more “confident” since welcoming her kids.
She told People magazine: “I am more confident and … I’m tired. I’m very tired, but I also know that’s such a finite point in people’s lives.
“I meet people who have older children, in their 20s and 30s now, and they say, ‘Just enjoy it.’ And that’s what I’m doing. I’m taking that advice. Everybody tells me that. I’m taking that advice, and I’m enjoying it.”

Taylor Swift found love throughout the noise

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift says she has found love “throughout all the noise”.
The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ hitmaker – who is dating British actor Joe Alwyn – penned her new album about love and defiance.
Speaking to fans at an intimate Taylor Swift Now concert in Chicago, she said: “I think there was a bit of a bait-and-switch that happened with this album when we put out ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and we’re like, ‘Guys, this album is gonna be one thing.’ And when the album came out, it’s legitimately an album about finding love throughout all the noise. It starts with the noise and how that makes all you feel, and how it makes you feel when people are saying things about you that you feel, like, aren’t true and living your life sort of in defiance of that.”
Meanwhile, Taylor previously insisted her songwriting has never been “complicated” and has grown increasingly more complex.
She said: “There are definitely moments when it’s like this cloud of an idea comes and just lands in front of your face, and you reach up and grab it. A lot of songwriting is things you learn, structure, and cultivating that skill, and knowing how to craft a song. But there are mystical, magical moments, inexplicable moments when an idea that is fully formed just pops into your head.
“And that’s the purest part of my job. It can get complicated on every other level, but the songwriting is still the same uncomplicated process it was when I was 12 years old writing songs in my room.”

Eddie Murphy happy to be expecting a child

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher are “very happy” to be expecting a child.
The couple – who already share two-year-old daughter Izzy Oona together – can’t wait to add to their family with their new arrival.
A source told People magazine: “They are very happy to expect another baby. They wished for a younger sibling for their daughter. They live a pretty low-key life. They are all about family. Paige is very close with Eddie’s kids. They are a very special and happy family. They vacation and spend holidays together. Paige loves being a mom and is very involved. She takes her daughter to the park and for play dates.”
Eddie previously revealed he is set to be a father for a 10th time.
A rep for Eddie is quoted as saying: “Eddie Murphy and long-time girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.”
The ‘Shrek’ star already has five children, Bria, 28, Miles, 25, Shayne, 23, Zola, 18, and Bella, 16, with ex-wife Nicole Murphey, who he split from in 2006 after 22 years of marriage. He also has a 29-year-old son, Eric, 26, with Paulette McNeely, as well as a son Christian, 27, with Tamara Hood, and 11-year-old daughter Angel with Spice Girls singer Mel B.
And Eddie previously admitted that all of his kids are “totally different from each other”.
He shared: “You know what is funny? None of my kids are like me, and I’m sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other. None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing, They’re good kids.”

Ofcom received 3,297 complaints about the treatment of Kim Woodburn

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV have responded to over 3,000 Ofcom complaints about the treatment of Kim Woodburn.
A clash between Loose Women presenter, Coleen Nolan, and ‘How Clean Is Your House’ star Kim has led to 3,297 complaints after Kim walked out of the panel show during an on-air spat. The pair became rivals after appearing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ together last year and ‘Loose Women’ producers invited the 73-year-old onto the show in an attempt to settle their differences.
A spokesperson for the broadcast regulatory board told The Express: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
Whilst a spokesperson for Loose Women added: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen. Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her. She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.”
Kim has since called for Coleen to be fired as a presenter of the show and branded it as “cruel” entertainment.
Speaking to the Sun Online, she said: “I was ambushed, it was disgusting. It was like a circus and I was there for some cruel entertainment. I want Coleen and her sister fired. They could have stopped that show. The one who had the ear mic could have stopped it, but they did nothing to curb it.
“I was shown cruelty again by that woman. I’m embarrassed once again. And I’ve cried on TV once again. I do go at people if they go for me. I hope I never live to see the day when a human being in her 50s and her sister could mock a lady sobbing on TV.”

Jennifer Garner’s new skills

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner learned MMA, gun and knife skills for her new movie.
The ’13 Going On 30′ star took on a brand new set of skills for her role as Riley in the action revenge movie ‘Peppermint’ and really enjoyed the physical aspect.
Speaking about her training for the movie, she said: “I’ve been training for a while on this. I did MMA skills, gun skills, knife skills. It was the connection to the physical that made me kind of understand her fight for her daughter.”
And the 46-year-old actress was excited about the role from the get go.
She added to People magazine: “I was excited right from the jump. The first time I read the script for Peppermint because it’s an original story and there’s a strong woman at the middle. My character, Riley, watches this happen in front of her. She sees the people who killed her family. She discovers the police and the people who should be helping her are all on the wrong side of the law.
“She just shuts down her heart, goes into hiding and spends the next five years becoming a machine. She immediately takes matters into her own hands to make sure those people are brought to justice. The fact that she just says I’m a mom, I’m taking care of this and I’m going to do what I need to do. That, I’m inspired by. I’ve never gotten the chance to play that kind of visceral need to defend, or protect or take care of someone in your family.”

Serena Williams works on the road

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams works “on the road”.
The tennis star has been super busy but makes the most of her time on the road by forgoing sleep for her work.
Speaking about her new clothing line, she told People magazine: “I just work, I don’t sleep and I work on the road. I finally took that leap and I have invested in myself and I did it. I always tell my friends, you have to invest in yourself, and I have to take my own advice. I did that, I was like this is what I want to do and we’re going to be successful at it because I believe in me and what we do. If we do it right, it’s going to be good.”
But Serena always makes time for her 12-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia Jr.
She wrote on Twitter: “319 days since I gave birth to this amazing baby @OlympiaOhanian I’ve spent 319 of those days with her. I’m so fortunate. (sic)”
And Serena previously confessed she cried every time her daughter did in the early stages of motherhood.
She said: “It’s tough in the beginning. The baby’s crying all the time and you don’t know why – you don’t know if it’s gas, you don’t know if she’s sick, you don’t know if it’s just colic. So I just started crying with her because I couldn’t help her and I wanted to help her and I couldn’t, so I just started crying.”
And her admission comes after she revealed she prayed and “cried a little bit” when she stopped breastfeeding Alexis.
She added: “I literally sat Olympia in my arms, I talked to her, we prayed about it. I told her, ‘Look, I’m going to stop. Mommy has to do this.’ I cried a little bit not as much as I thought I would … After [I stopped breastfeeding], like literally I lost 10 pounds in a week. It was crazy. I just kept dropping. I was like, that’s when I learned that everything was different. Sorry to go on about that. I wanted to say that so women out there know that’s not true. Everyone takes things different. I think it’s important for us to share that message.”

Kris and Caitlyn Jenner cordial for daughters’ sake

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris and Caitlyn Jenner stay “cordial” for the sake of their daughters.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star may have had a difficult split from the former athlete – who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition – but the pair remain civil for their kids, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
A source told People magazine: “Kris and Caitlyn interact when they have to for the kids. It’s important for Kylie and Kendall. They can be cordial, but like most exes, they’re never going to be best friends. Things are still frosty between them. There are too many hurt feelings between Kris and Caitlyn and the older girls. It wasn’t a happy, laughing interaction between Kris and Caitlyn. It was more like, this is a moment where we’re coming together for the kids. It was very brief.”
Meanwhile, Caitlyn previously admitted she finds it “tough” maintaining a relationship with her children – Burt, Casey, Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie.
She said: “I spend a lot of time by myself here in the house. I have a lot of children, but sometimes just because of circumstances, maintaining a close relationship with your kids is very tough. They all have lives. They’ve all moved on. We’re just human beings; we’re going to be here for a very short time. We come and we go and at the end, when it’s all said and done, hopefully your family is going to be there.”

Tess Holliday wanted to disappear during postpartum depression

OHMYGOSSIP — Tess Holliday wanted to “disappear” during her postpartum depression.
The 33-year-old model admits she found it tough after her son Bowie was born.
She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “It felt like the water was boiling over and things were coming to the top again. I remember very vividly driving in the car with Bowie and I thought to myself, ‘I wish I could just disappear. I wish I could vanish.’ It felt at that point like I was causing everyone around me so much pain. It felt like a never-ending black hole. I was so tired of hurting … I just didn’t want to be here any more.”
Meanwhile, Tess was hoping to enjoy having a newborn more than she did when her first son Rylee was born.
She said: “When I had my son, I was 20 and I didn’t know what I was doing and I didn’t have help. I’m really excited to be doing it again and have support, and be able to enjoy having a baby, because I couldn’t last time.”
Though she already has one child, the model feels she has a lot to learn.
She added: “Anyone who is having another child, or even their first child, is lying if they’re saying they’re not nervous. I am worried about my ability to detach from work, and being able to focus on my family. It’s [also] been 10 years since I had a kid, so there are so many things that are new. My friends that have babies are posting all of these new swings and breastfeeding techniques and new bottles, and it’s really overwhelming because I thought, ‘I’ve already done all this,’ but it feels like I haven’t. I’m having to relearn a lot!”
